After a long day of school/work they come home and lay in bed they grab their pillow and began to speak. “hey y/n I had a good day today I almost got into a fight but I didn’t because I thought of you and how you wouldn’t want me to do that how you would want me to be the bigger person so I talked to them about it and I know you fight sometimes but you wouldn’t want me to risk everything by fighting so yeah how was your day??”  In their mind the pillow came to life forming your face and body into it. “I had a good day just chilled on your bed you know” you looked into the eyes of C/C and grabbed the side of their face. “I’m proud of you I’m so proud of you” you hugged them and then you laid on their chest they hugged back and you started to cuddle they you felt something hot and wet they were crying. “what’s wrong??” You asked and put their face into your hands. “I love you but your not real” their world of happiness collapsing with those words. Your.Not.Real you made them happy you made them better but you weren’t real.

Between screaming and happy tears - Tom Holland

A/N: okok, the last Argentinian!Reader x Tom Holland i wrote had a lot of support, so i'm writing this cuz i'm still fucking buzzing because of Argentina winning (i love you, brazilian readers <3)

Pairing: Tom Holland x Argentinian!Reader

Warnings: there's going to be a lot of swearing in spanish, spanish dialogs that will be translated, swearing in general, and Tom being an absolute cutie

Btw, I write the pet name "bé" I think more than once. It comes from the pet name "bebé" in spanish, which clearly translates itself to baby. My parents use it with each other, and I think it's extremely cute :) I think you'd pronounce it like "beh" lmao.

It was July 10th.

July 10th, 2021. Which meant, Argentina was going to play the final from the Copa América against Brazil.

A couple of years ago, you decided it would be for the best to move out of Argentina. You decided to start fresh; a new job, new house, new friends.

There was an infinite list of all the things you missed about your country: Your family, the food, the Mate, your dog. But, what you found yourself missing the most this last season was the football. Argentina was known to be one of the countries with the most supportive fans. And you, having grown up in a home full of Argentinian traditions, football never failed to be a part of your childhood.

You remember days spent in the line entering the stadium, afternoons and evenings in front of the TV, football shirts on, crisps on bowls over the table, and, after turning eighteen, a cold, delicious beer in hand.

But, now, you found yourself living at your boyfriend's house, his brother and two best friends as well. They loved football. It was running through their veins, too. But, the passion that you felt whenever you heard the thousands of fans screaming the lyrics of the original songs in the stadium, or whenever the national anthem would play from the TV, it was something they sure did understand, yet they weren't as fond with it as you were.

They loved your traditions.

Ever since you and Tom met, you've been teaching him and his loved ones all about your culture; cooking them your family recipes, teaching them how to prepare a proper, bitter Mate, and making sure they knew how to make an Asado.

And, you were proud to say, they became fond of the Mate almost as much as you were.

So, when you told them a couple of weeks ago that the Copa América was about to start, they decided to remain silent whenever a game was on, not wanting to disturb you, as they knew how you could get.

With the passing weeks, they could basically feel your nerves and stress radiating from your body.

Argentina hasn't won a Copa América for twenty-eight years. Messi's time in the team was running out, and you could say you weren't the only Argentinian who thought he deserved to retire with the title.

Putting the baby blue and white shirt over your head, you ran towards the kitchen, taking a cold beer and some crisps with you, and running towards the couch.

The game was starting in five minutes. It was 12:55am.

Living in London had its perks, of course. Full of job oportunities, the lovely cold weather you have always loved, and now the home of the love of your life.

Yet, when it came to football games being played in your native country, the time difference between your two loved countries was a bitch. So, if you were in Argentina, a soccer match starting at 9:00pm would be normal. But being four hours forward, it was not a good time for you to wake the neighbours up with your future screams and curses.

So, now seated on the sofa, you remained still as the national anthem played through the television, lips mouthing the lyrics.

The four boys watched from the doorway, arms crossed over their chests. Three pairs of eyes eyed you with concern, one pair with admiration. "Is she okay?" Harry whispered, leaning his head towards his brother for him to hear him, eyes never leaving your nervous figure. Tom remained silent, a smile slowly appearing over his lips. Tuwaine clicked his tongue, elbowing the red headed boy. "She's latina, screaming is basically in their blood."

At this, Tom spoke up. "It's fine, guys. She just gets a little excited." He explained, laughing softly at the memory of the last game. Haz quirked a brow, eyeing his best friend curiously. "Sure, excited is good. I just don't want the neighbours to file a complaint because a crazy person began to yell like a psycho in a foreign language at one in the morning." The blonde explained, pointing at you.

"It's going to be fiiiiine. Stop worrying, will you?"

The game started, and you clapped loudly, cheering the players. "Vamos, muchachos. Dale que se puede." (Come on, guys. You can do it.) You said out loud, eyes focused on the screen.

The game started smoothly. Not that many things you got to complain about. However, you still thought that the team wasn't playing at their best, and you suddenly felt afraid they weren't going to defend a much as they need to.

But, minute 21, you saw the ball being passed easily to De Paul, and you began to cheer. "Dale. Dale. Dale, De Paul." You muttered, slowly standing up. He passed the ball to Di María, who re-adjusted it with a quick step, kicking it towards the goal. "Sí, sí, sí, sí. Vamos, vamos, vamos..." It curved perfectly over goalkeeper, entering the goal. You jumped. In the air. "PERO QUE GOLAZO. VIERON ESO? UNA MARAVILLA." (What a score. Did you see that? It was wonderful.) You screemed, turning around to the boys, the four of them smiling warmly at you. You fisted the air several times in celebration, taking a sip of the beer and sitting back down. "No, no. Una locura. Justo como el gol de Argentina contra Nigeria en el 2008. Excelente." (Just like the score from Argentina against Nigeria in 2008. Golden.) You talked to yourself, looking back at the screen. You leaned forward, taking a handful of crisps, with your free fingers shoving one by one inside your mouth. As De Paoli recounted everything that happened in the game, you laughed at every remark that echoed from the speakers from the television. Tom sat down next to you, placing his hand in your thigh, rubbing it softly.

"How's it going?" He asked softly, looking at the screen. You hummed, laying your head on his shoulder. "I think I might get a heart attack. They're moving so much, it's hard to follow." You muttered. He hummed, nodding his head. "Remember I have no idea what you're talking about. You're constantly yelling in Spanish, love."

You laughed, tilting your head to kiss his cheek. "I know, bé, m'sorry. I get a little too excited..." You muttered sofly.

He chuckled, placing a kiss on your temple. "S'okay. I don't understand a thing, and, if I'm being honest, I'm just a little intimidated by you right now, so I'm going to wait for you in bed, 'kay, darling?" You grinned, kissing his lips. "M'kay. As soon as it's over, I'm heading to bed." You told him, and, as he stood up to leave, you slapped his butt. He laughed, shaking his head. "Just try to be quiet, yeah? Remember it's late, lovie." He pleaded.

"'Course, don't worry 'bout it. Night, baby." You dismissed it, waving him away with your hand. You heard him laugh, and Tom leaned to give your head another kiss. "Night, sweet girl."

After a couple of minutes, you saw a brazilian player approach your goal with the ball. You grew anxious, rubbing your hands together. He kicked the ball, and when it entered the goal, you cursed. "Pero LA PUTA MADRE." (Son of a bitch. A/N: we use this insult a LOT.)

You rubbed your face with your hands.

As you heard De Paoli speak again explaining the events, you looked at the screen with wide eyes, big smile growing on your lips. "Lo anularon! Vamos, carajo." You cheered, beer in hand, taking a long sip.

"Pero, obvio. Si todos van a atacar, no defiende nadie. Bajen a defender un poco, señores." (Of course, if every single one of you's attacking, no-one's going to defend the goal. Play near the goal keeper, misters.) You scolded, motioning your hands to the left, as if signaling the players to move where your hands were pointing.

You put all your attention back at the game, following Messi as he ran towards the brazilian goal keeper with the ball just under his feet. You pursed your lips, eyes widening as he approached closer and closed, your hands interwined tightly under your chin. And, just before he could kick the ball, he tripped over it. You clicked your tongue, dismissing the events with a wave of your hand. "Pero, maestro, llamalos a los muchachos para que jueguen con vos. Jueguen en equipo, señores." (But, man. Call the guys for them to play beside you. Play as a team, guys.) You scolded, not even realizing that your four roommates had reunited once again in the kitchen, watching you from afar, while sharing a beer.

"I'm afraid she'll lose her temper and break something." Harrison said, pursing his lips, taking the mouth of the glass bottle over his lips, taking a big sip of the cold beer.

Harry chuckled, shaking his head. "You think that much anger can come from such a short thing like her?" He laughed. The four boys remained silent, looking at him with eyes widen. Harry's mouth closed, glancing at the three men quizzily. "W-what?"

"She's Argentinian." Tuwaine said, matter-of-factly.

"And she's a football fan." Tom continued.

Harry forrowed his brows, still confused by their statements. "Yeah... And?"

Tom sighed, patting his brother's shoulder. "We'll leave it for you to find out."

And, at that exact moment, they heard you yell. "UN GOL MÁS, CHICOS. UNO MÁS SE MERECEN. DALE QUE SE PUEDE." (One more score, guys. You deserve one more. Come on, you can do it.) You clapped, cheering for them. They all leaned their heads to the right, catching a glimpse of you. The three men raisde each of them one of their eyebrows, looking back at the curly, red headed boy.

He remained silent. "...Okay, you're right."

There were only four minutes left for the game to be over. Your hands were shaking, thinking how they were probably going to add another five minutes, judging by all the changes of players that there has been among the game.

And, as soon as the clock hit 90:00, a +5 was added by its side right away, 90:01 being now showed over the clock. You groaned, tilting your head back. "Yo sabía. Son unos cabezas. No tendrían que haber cambiado tanto." (I knew it. They're proper idiots. Shouldn't have made so many changes.) You complained, shaking your head.

The minutes were flying by, and, you soon began to hear the voice of the narrator. "Argentina se prepara! Están a dos minutos de besar la copa! Laten los corazones, Messi se prepara para levantar la copa! Vamos Argentina, vamos Messi!", (Argentina's getting ready to bring the cup! Just two more minutes! Hearts racing, Messi's getting ready to lift the cup! Come on, Argentina! Come on, Messi!) but you screamed in desperation. "CALLATE, NO SEAS MUFA." (Shut up, you're going to jinx it.) And the boys decided to show up, standing behind the couch, where you were seated.

Thirty seconds away, you began to stand up slowly, your hands grabbing the back of your head in desbilief. As soon as the seconds were over, you jumped, fisting the air multiple times, screaming in desbilief and excitement. Tears were beginning to flow down your face. "ARGENTINA CAMPEÓN! MESSI SE LLEVA LA COPA! JA JA!" (Argentina won! Messi's bringing the cup home!) You yelled, running around the living room. The four men had smiles on their faces, arms crossed over their chests as they watched you cheer and yell, not caring about waking the neighbours up anymore.

You walked up to Tom, already calming yourself down, grabbing his face with both of your hands, eyes glossy and a big, teary smile on your face. "We won." You whispered. Tom couldn't help but smile, putting his own hands on your face, brushing the tears away. He smiled back, thumbs caressing your skin. "You did." his voice barely above the whisper. You leaned in, joining your pairs of lips in a sweet, wet kiss. You pulled away, interwining his hand with his, leading him to the couch, where he seated next to you, bringing you towards him for you to seat on his lap.

You buried your face in the crook of his neck, kissing his skin repeatedly. Tom smiled softly, enjoying the feeling of your lips on his neck, soft, sweet kisses. "I'm so happy." You whispered, hugging him tighter.

Tom felt the wet drops hitting his skin, and, with a concerned frown, he pulled away, taking your face in his hands once more. He brushed the tears away, and you laughed, letting him know they were just tears of excitement.

He suddenly got an idea, and, with a quick 'be right back', he rushed to your shared bedroom, taking his phone and coming back, finding you with your face glued to the television, waiting for the moment where the cup'll be delivered to the Argentinian team. Tears refused to stop streaming down your cheeks, and you stopped trying to brush them away, letting the excitement and love for the sport and your country flow from your figure.

You truly missed Argentina. You realized it's been a long time since you last visited. Covid-19 hasn't been any help with your plans of eventually buying a ticket and take a couple of weeks off to visit your childhood home, your family and friends, and, of course, all the traditions that came with the title of being Argentinian.

Not noticing Tom's presence, he opened Instagram, deciding to go live for just a couple of minutes. With matter of seconds, thousands of fans from all around the world started to join the actor's live, confused as the first thing popping on their screens was an image of his crying girlfriend.

But, after a couple of seconds, he spoke up. "Hey guys! What's up?" He read a couple of comments, wondering why he started a live at late hours in the night. "Yeah, I know. Sorry, it's late. But, Y/n here, as you know, is from Argentina, and today the Argentinian team played the final against Brazil. And, now, she's crying." He laughed, walking towards you and taking a seat beside you, the camera never stopping to point at your face.

You laughed softly, the back of your hand reaching your face, brushing the tears away. "Hey, guys. M'sorry. It's just the excitement," You paused, chuckling lightly. "I'm incredibely happy right now. And, just so you know, I think Brazil was a really difficult oponent to win. They have amazing players, and every single one of them is as loyal and sweet as they could be. It was an impressive game, really." You nodded your head, telling shortly to the camera about your experience watching the game.

"I just hope for the neighbours not to hate us because of all my screaming." You gave a guilty smile, frowning. And, right after those words left your mouth, angry knocks were heard on the front door, all of your heads turning to the white door, eyes widened. Tuwaine turned back to look at you, and he said.

"Too late."

Warnings: A LOT of spanish dialogs (will be translated, of course) angry argentinians cuz it’s in our blood, even more while watching fútbol.this is going to be so much fun.

A/N: ok, this is highy inspired in the soccer (football) game Argentina vs Ecuador from two days ago... aaand i know Argentina won, and i’m really excited because of it... sorry to any equatorians reading this. I love you! 

this is a video i found from the “hinchada” from Argentina in the world cup, if you’re interested in giving it a look. I personally find it completely hilarious hahah.

A/N 2.0: Translating all these dialogs we use to say at home literally made my day. And it took me a while to stop myself from spitting out half my organs from how hard i was laughing.

You had been giddy all day long.

Since your brother and yourself moved to England a couple of years ago, you made sure you were still going to have the soccer pack included on the TV, judging by how much the sport had been part of your lives ever since you were little kids.

Your sweetest memories from yout native country were always filled with evenings gathered with your family, hot chocolate in hands in the middle of July, watching the World Cup together. Joy, disappointment and excitement always made part of your normal emotions while watching the games.

The lovely sport that had been part of you for so many years, starting with your grandfather and his stories when he was "your age...", your father and his team when he was a teenager, and the list goes on and on.

It was emotional, to say the least. Screams and curses being heared from all around the neighbourhood in sync when the Argentinian team would do a slip, causing the whole country to groan in frustration.

So, when Ecuador and Argentina were going to play tonight, you told your boyfriend to either join you and your family and share your excitement, or to stay silent all afternoon and not text you, not wanting any distractions while the game was on. However, you had your phone still with all the sound on, waiting for the call that will tell you whether you got the job you applied for all those months ago, or if you should still look for other options. And the fact that they said "You should be expecting our call soon," was driving you insane.

Days looking down at your phone non stop, looking for any missed calls or texts, but nothing. Therefore, you were still waiting. With all the anxiousness and excitement.

So, now, you were here.

On your sofa, your brother running around the kitchen preparing the Picada and the beers, your nephew sitting on your lap while you tried to explain him how the game worked, his nose scrunching in confusion.

All your three figures were covered by the Argentinian footbal shirt, and, just when your brother sat down on the sofa next to you, handing you the cold drink while the players were entering the stadium, the doorbell rung.

Getting up quickly, you made your way to the front door, eyes barely leaving the screen. "Y/n, está empezando, qué hacés?" (Y/n, the game's starting, what are you doing?) Dani asked from the living room, annoyance and anxiousness present in his tone. "El timbre!" (The doorbell!) You explained hand twisting the knob and opening the door, your eyes still glued to the television as you shifted nervously over your feet. "Hey, love!" The familiar voice spoke up, your eyes quickly darting towards his. And, before he could say something else, your hand clutched to his shirt, bringing him inside the house and closing the door behind him. "Hola, amor." (Hi, love) You greeted quickly, pecking his lips before he watched you disappear into the living room, flopping down into the comfort of the sofa. He chuckled, smiling to himself as he saw you wearing proudly the colors of your country, hair tied up in a high ponytail and elbows rested over your knees, torso leaning forward with hands interwined under your chin.

He took his jacket off, walking towards the three of you, sitting beside you and letting his hand rest over you thigh. He leaned back, turning to look over your shoulder to look at your brother. "Hey, man."

"Oh, hey, dude. Didn't see you there." Daniel quickly said.

"I... literally just walked in front of you." Tom squinted his eyes in confusion, again smiling to himself as he saw the familiar obsession with the sport. He got no responde from your older brother, his green eyes glued to the screen in fron of you, eyes scanning the players standing in line, ready to sing the short verse of the national anthem. "Huh?" The blonde brother asked dumbfoundedly, mouth opened lazyly. The Brit shook his head with a laugh. "Nothing, mate."

Mateo noticed the brunette's presence, climbing down from his dad's lap and moving onto Tom's, who opened his arms invitedly for the four year-old to comfortably sit on his lap. "How are ya, buddy?" He asked. The little kid shrugged, his big, brown eyes looking at his aunt and dad a little concerned. He shrugged nonetheless, his back laying to press against the adult's chest. Tom leaned forward, his head tilting to have a better look of the boy. "Understand any of this?" He asked him, nodding his head towards the TV. When Mateo shook his head, he chuckled. "Yeah, me neither. Spanish is not my strenght, you know?" Tom sarcastically asked the brown haired boy. "Yeah..." He muttered, earning another chuckle fromt the actor.

First period started.

You sat nervously, you and your brother cursing every once in a while.

The first penal for Argentina came, and Messi stood in front of the arc, running towards the ball. "Dale, dale, dale..." (Come on, come on, come on...) You muttered under your breath, every words coming faster and faster as his feet came closer to the ball. He kicked the ball, the sphere enterin the arc easily. "GOL! VAMOS MESSI ÍDOLO." (Goal(?) C'mon, Messi, Idol -xd-) You praised, standing up in a jump and hugging your brother, making your way to your boyfriend with a little, happy dance.

He chuckled, a smile on both of your faces as you leaned down, pulling him into a kiss.

You broke apart, crouching down in front of him to be at the kid's level, who was still sitting on his lap. You took his hands in yours, smiling exciteldy. "Mateo! Metieron un gol!" (Mateo, we scored!) You explained. Almost immediately, a big smile on the boy's face started to grow, and he happily said. "Yay!" His hands shooting up, fisting the air as you laughed at his antics, kissing him sloppily on the cheeck before going back to your seat.

The first period ended, not many events ocurring. Argentina 1, Ecuador 0.

In the mean-time, you decided to order some pizzas, and, while you were in the kitchen ordering, Tom pulled you to his chest abruptly, emitting a yelp in surprise from you. He embraced you, arms sneaking around your waist and putting you firmly to his figure. You wrapped you arms around his torso, resting your cheeck on his chest, and he hummed, the vibrations tickling your skin, making you laugh. Your eyes met his, and he leaned down quickly, catching your lips in a long, sweet kiss. Lips moving together, his fingers traveled down your shirt, tracing soft circles over your skin, your hands moving up and down his back. You pulled away, nose brushing against each other. His lips went to kiss the tip of your nose, yours scrushing in response.

"What was that for?" You whispered, an incontrolable smile on your lips as you looked at him in the eye. You couldn't help but bite your lip, trying to supress the growing smirk on your face, eyes holding nothing but love for him. You loved him. So, so much.

"I just love how Argentinian and passionate you get over these things. And I love that part of you." He admitted, pronoucing "Argentinian" with a Spanish accent. You chuckled, your arms traveling to circle aroung his neck, fingers playing with the curls in the nape of his neck. "Yeah?"

"Mmh. Yeah." He hummed, leaning down to kiss your lips again.

"Y/n, dale que empieza el segundo tiempo!" (Y/n, come on, the second period is about to start.) You heard Daniel scream from the living room, forcing you to pull apart from the warmth of Tom's lips. He groaned a little, making you laugh, as you kissed his pout again and again until it faded away.

You sat down next your brother, your nephew instantly climbing onto your lap, deciding it'll be his comfortable spot for the next half an hour. You kissed his head, shifting him a little for him and yourself to get comfortable in the position, before letting him lay his cheeck on your chest, his eyes closing.

You looked down at the sleeping toddler, feeling his breath eaven and heart beating slowly, peacefully. That was, until your brother decided to be loud. "No! NO! OTAMENDI QUE HACÉS?! PERO MOVETE, PELOTUDO." (No! No! Otamendi what are you doing? Move, idiot!) He stood up, the loud noises and movements startling the little kid, making him stir in his sleep, letting out an adorable sound. You shushed your brother. "Shhh. Callate, tarado. No vés que duerme Teo?" (Shhh. Shut up, dumbass. Don't you see he's sleeping?) You rubbed a hand up and down the toddler's back, lulling him back to sleep. Your brother sent you a glare, looking back to the TV.

Eventually, the game was over, and you and Daniel had to control yourself to stay quiet while celebrating the 3-0 score, not wanting to wake the little boy up.

You were resting on the sofa, Mateo still in your arms, sleeping over your chest. Daniel and Tom were finishing clening the kitchen, and, catching your attention, you heard the brown haired man sit beside you. "He's so cute." He cooed, looking at Mateo. You smiled, hand caressing the little boy's cheeck softly, moving a fallen curl from his forehead. "He really is." You whispered back.

Daniel walked towards the both of you, excusing himself to grab his sleeping son from your arms into his, walking down the hall to put him to sleep. You laid your head on Tom's shoulder, his hand finding yours and drawing patterns at the back of it. "Imagine how ours would be." He broke the silence, and your head flew away from his shoulder, wanting to take a good look at him. You paused for a second, a smile slowly growing on your lips, and a soft sigh of relief came out of Tom's lips. "Have you thought about that?" You asked him, amused. "Of course I have." He confirmed, his brows forrowing in genuine confusion about your question.

You and Tom had been dating for five years already. As soon as you moved to England for college in 2014, you had met him over a painful body-crash while going for a run at the park. And you've been through it all. His first movie with Chris Hemsworth, When got the role as Spider-Man, the ups and downs from his career, everything.

And it would be a complete lie to say that you didn't imagine a future with him. You've been together for so long, and you still felt as in love with him as you felt the first time he said it to you.

And the fact that he was practically part of your family, made it even harder for you not to fall harder for the actor. He's been there when Mateo was born, when Katelyn passed away, when your brother needed help with his son when he was a baby, now being a single dad. He was there for everything.

"And what else have you thought about?" You asked him, sighing as you made your way to his lap, straddeling him. His hands found their way to your hips, massaging the skin under your shirt. Your eyes were becoming teary, full of affection and joy. Arms circling his neck, chests almost pressed together. These were the moments you pictured in your days for the rest of your life.

"I've thought about... buying a house. Maybe in between the way here and in the way to my parents' house. There's a cute neighbourhood there, and some good schools, too. Pictured how someday I'll buy you the most gorgeous ring, get down on one knee and ask you to me mine forever." He whispered. His eyes traveled to your eyes, and down to your lips.

You leaned forward, lips brushing against each other, hot breaths driving you insane, and warmth already being shared. And, just before your lips touched, you whispered.

"I'm already yours, Tommy. Forever."

Winners announced for the 2019 Eisner Awards

The winners were announced last night for the 2019 Will Eisner Comic Industry Awards.

Tom King and Mitch Gerads, partners on the Mister Miracle series from DC, took home five awards between them. John Allison’s Giant Days and The Prince and the Dressmaker by Jen Wang also took home multiple awards.

The Eisner Awards also inducted 10 people into the Hall of Fame last night: the judges chose Jim Aparo, June Tarpé Mills, Dave Stevens and Morrie Turner, while voters chose José Luis García-López, Jenette Kahn, Paul Levitz, Wendy and Richard Pini, and Bill Sienkiewicz to join the class of 2019.

Other awards given out last night included the The Bill Finger Excellence In Comic Book Writing Award, which was presented to Mike Friedrich and the late E. Nelson Bridwell, and the Russ Manning Most Promising Newcomer Award, which went to Lorena Alvarez.

The 2019 recipients of the Bob Clampett Humanitarian Award were Edgardo Miranda-Rodriguez, for his work on Ricanstruction: Reminiscing & Rebuilding Puerto Rico, and comic artist Tula Lotay, AKA Lisa Wood, for creating the UK-based Thought Bubble Festival. And La Revisteria Comics in Argentina won the Will Eisner Spirit of Comics Retailer Award.
