You were stirred awake by the man next to you in your bed, hearing his breath panting harshly. You rubbed the sleep from your eyes before opening them, seeing your husband sitting up in bed, his chest heaving and hands gripping the sheets next to him. You slowly sat up and raised a hand to his bare chest, feeling his heart pounding and a sheen of sweat coating his body. You looked at his face in concern, his eyes shut as he removed a hand to comb through his grey hair, attempting to calm himself.

“Erik?” You asked, giving him a small smile when he opened his eyes to look at you. His expression softened a bit as the hand in his hair moved to hold your face gently, his thumb rubbing your cheek as you leaned into his touch.

“I apologize for waking you, meine Liebe.” He spoke softly before pressing his forehead against yours, his body calming at your touch as you moved your other hand to rub his back.

“Don’t apologize, my love.” You responded, pressing your lips to his and giving him a sweet kiss. “Are you alright?”

“Yes, I suppose I’m just a bit stressed out lately.” He admitted pulling away slightly to look you in the eyes. “What with the team and all.”

“Of course, you’re under a lot of pressure.” You smiled, wanting to be there to support and help your husband. “They will accept you soon enough, you just have to show them that they can trust you.”

Erik gazed at you softly, giving you another kiss before he got up out of bed. You lied down in bed and watched him walk to the bathroom, turning the sink on and washing his face. You smiled fondly as he brushed back his damp hair, watched him take a deep breath before patting down his face with a towel, then turning his attention to you and smiling just as fondly. He felt so lucky that such an amazing person such as yourself, always so supportive and loving to him and his goals. He chuckled when you moved over and lifted the blanket, inviting him into your arms. He left the bathroom and got back into bed with you, grabbing you by your waist and pulling you flush against your body, making you laugh as he held you like a teddy bear. You pressed your face against his bare chest, smiling as he kissed you on top of you head, his large hand holding you between your shoulder blades to keep you near.

“Ich liebe dich.” He mumbled against you, his chest rumbling as he did.

“I love you too, Erik.” You smiled against him, pressing a kiss to his chest before shutting your eyes to drift back to sleep.

Logan stayed at the school, helping you and the X-Men defeat Magento. The evil mutant was planning on transferring his powers to Rogue, the teen Logan saved, which would kill the girl. However, a plan was developed and you, Scott, Ororo, and Logan were able to rescue Rogue, ending with Magento being imprisoned.

For you it was a crazy experience. You’ve fought mutants before but for some reason Magneto was different. Maybe it was because you witness Magneto, a mutant who can control metal, control Logan. Logan who, to you, is a very powerful mutant.

That frightened you as Magneto’s main goal was to take down the worlds leaders. You were terrified of what would happen if he succeeded.

But thankfully, the X-men and Logan were able to defeat him at the top of the Statue of Liberty. You were amazed as you witnessed Rogue’s powers - taking Logan’s regenerative ability to heal herself after the fight.

The girl had been through so much and continues to do so but knowing she had Logan, and Logan her, you were greatful.

So you all returned to the mansion after the fight. Those who couldn’t heal had their wounds tended to while you and James shared a beer in the kitchen - the alcohol from your room.

The two of you just sat in silence, neither really having anything to say. To you, the fight reminded you of the days you would run into Logan and Victor, with one of the mutants having fought tonight having a Sabertooth mutation.

You stewed in your thoughts, wondering what Logan was thinking. A small part of you hoped being together and fighting would lend him some memory - anything. Only it didn’t.

You almost wished you had Jean’s and Charles’ powers. So you could pry into his mind and see what he was thinking about. If he approved of the way you fought tonight. If he was turned on watching you as you were him.

However, your thoughts were interrupted when Charles entered. The man said nothing at first, shooting just a displeased look at your choice of beverage.

“We earned these Old man.” You state to him, raising your beer.

Charles shook his head. You watched as he glanced between you and Logan, as if struggling with what to say. Finally, Logan cut through the silence.

“What is it?” He asked, a scrutinizing look on his face.

You take him in, noticing the way his body is tensed, jaw clenched. He seems to be reading that there’s some sort of trouble. That maybe there's another evil mutant who wants to take over the world.

Only that’s not the case.

“First I would like to thank you for your assistance with Magneto.” Charles begins, addressing solely Logan.

Pfft, old man doesn’t want to thank you, you guess.

“But?” Logan gripes.

“No buts.” Charles says. “However, there is some information I have come across that I believe would interest you.” His eyes then turn to you. “Both of you.”

You sit forward on your seat, staring intently at Charles. The man has been a Godsend since you met him. No hidden agenda whatsoever. Whatever he’s going to share is important.

“There’s a location in Alberta Canada. It’s called Alkali Lake and believed to have been a base for Weapon X. I believe you may find some answers there.”

There’s a moment of silence. Both you and Logan taking in the information. After all these years you may finally find out the truth.

You look up and eyes meet Logan’s brown ones. His are determined. As if he’s waited this moment his entire life and you guess that he has since his memory was taken from him.

“When do ya’ wanna leave?” He asks you.

You and Logan left the following morning. You quickly said goodbye to Ororo and Jean, not before Ororo teased you about having alone time with Logan.

You had to hand to the women. She always knew how to make you smile or laugh when things when to shit.

You packed your back and was ready to go that night, not once thinking about your lesson plan or the students you’re leaving behind.

It’s as if the Jackal has come back in full force since Charles revealed the information he found. Your focus is slowly on finding those who captured you. Your focus is solely on revenge.

Charles allowed you and Logan to grab a truck from the school to venture to Alberta. Logan started off driving first but the two of you eventually switched on and off, one of you sleeping and the other driving.

Two days into your travels you wore Logan down and convinced him to get a motel room for the night. You wanted to get to the location just as fast as he did. But with both of your increased sense of smell, you weren’t sure how much longer you could take dealing with the both of you not showering.

You were just near the border of Canada and North Dakota when you spotted the sign and convinced him to stop for the night. You quickly checked in, getting a room with two beds before heading back to the truck to get Logan.

You both grabbed your bags and entered the room, noting the rundown decor and dilapidated fixtures.

“I’ve stayed in worse.” You state, shrugging as you take a step in and place your stuff on the bed closest to the door.

Logan snorts, walking to the other bed and placing his bag down before sitting next to it.

“Guess you can shower first since you’re the one that wanted to stop.” Logan grumbles, an unhappy look on his face.

You roll your eyes but unzip your bag, grabbing new everything. You also reach in and grab a bottle you stored, knowing it would come in handy.

You walk towards the bathroom, passing the seated Logan on the way and hold out the bottle to him.

“Figured this might make you happpy.” You say, watching as his eyes slightly light up at the sight of the liquor and he grabs it from your hand.

You shake your head at his antics. No memory but same personality. You then make your way into the bathroom to clean up.

…

You’re not in there for more then ten minutes, not wanting the hot water to waste and make Logan take a cold shower. You quickly dress and put your hair in a braid before stepping out.

You see Logan has apparently disagreed with your bed choice and moved your bag to the one farther from the door and took the closer one for himself.

“You had to touch my shit?” You question, taking a seat on the bed and almost moaning out of relief that it’s not a truck seat.

Logan rolls his eyes and stands, going through his own bag this time to collect clean clothes.

“I ain’t sleeping in a corner bub.” He states before handing the bottle of liquor to you and entering the bathroom.

This time it’s you who rolls your eyes but out of fondness. When you and Logan lived together for those few years, his side was always closest to the door. He said how he didn’t like how he felt like he was sleeping in a corner and this way he’d be closest to the first sign of danger.

You unmake the bed and get under the covers, layering the pillows behind you. You glance up at the ceiling and take a swig of the whiskey, allowing it to burn down your throat.

You can’t help but be nervous about what you might find at the location. If you’ll find the people who experimented on you. The people who took Logan’s memory.

Your heart aches at that thought. Being with solely him the past few days has been rough. It’s hard to not talk to him like you used. To not reminisce on the past that only one of you remembers.

With that thought you take another swig of the liquor. You’re pissed. So pissed. How dare they take you. How dare they take him. Who are they to fuck with your lives and screw everything up. You want so badley to rip their throats out for what they’ve done.

“Simmer down bub. I can smell the anger.” Logan’s voice startles you out of your thoughts.

You watch as he’s back into the room in just a pair of jeans and have to stop yourself from admiring his physique. You’ve missed being able to openly admire him. To touch his shoulders, his abs. To place light kisses on his pecs.

But he’s not yours anymore and you’re afraid he never will be again.

You take another swig at that thought before taking a deep breath to calm yourself down. You inhale through your nose loudly and let out a sigh to change the subject.

“Smell that?” You ask rhetorically. “Freshly cleaned mutants! You can’t tell me you aren’t glad we stopped?”

You watch as Logan takes a seat on the bed before laying down, only he’s laying on top of the covers. Apparently he’s too anxious to relax fully.

“Why don’t you quite being a smart ass and get some sleep?” Logan questions reaching over to snag the bottle from your hands before turning off the light. “We’ll be there tomorrow soon enough.”

You let out a sigh before rolling onto your side so your back is facing him. You try to stop the thoughts racing through your head. Unfortunately for you, sleep is hard to find.

…

You and Logan made it to the facility. Or what was left of it. The place itself is abandoned in the middle of the woods. The two of you don’t stray too far from the other while you try to find anything or anyone that can offer answers.

The building is full of broken equipment. Computer screens cracked, dried blood smeared on the walls, doors ripped of the hinges, decomposing corpses at every turn. It seems whoever was in charge of the place didn’t bother to clean up once they were found.

You and Logan make your way deeper into the building, leaving no room or equipment unturned incase a file can be restored and information revealed.

Logan is walking slightly in front of you while you examine a computer before you notice that he stopped. You watch as he lightly lifts his head up and inhales through his nose before turning slightly.

“What is it? Do you smell someone?” You question, rising to your feet and waking closer to him. You inhale yourself but don’t smell anything except him and the chaos around you.

He shakes his head no but begins to walk forward, this time at a faster pace. You follow behind quietly, wondering what it is he’s scented.

Soon, he’s lead the two of you to two doors that vaguely resemble an operating room dooor. You watch as he hesitates before gently pushing the door open.

You follow him inside and look around to see the mess. There’s an overturned exam chair in the middle of it, arms and leg restraints connected to it. One side is composed of research equipment such as microscopes and vials, the other full of instruments thrown about haphazardly and stained with blood.

You turn to look at Logan in confusion. Why did the scent of this room speak to him so much that he’d want to come in here?

You notice how his eyes have a devasting look in them and his mouth is drawn into a frown. As if he can’t believe what he’s looking at and trying to make sense of it.

“What is it?” You quesiton him. “What lead you to this room?”

“You.” He says quietly. “This room smells like you.” He says brown eyes meeting your E/C ones.

You freeze. You realize now what you’re looking at. You’re own torture room. While this location was a dead end for Logan, it’s not for you. It’s where you were held. Where you were tortured and experimented on. Where your eggs were extracted and you were sedated for months.

Rage takes over you and you lose it. You let out a scream and feel your teeth and nails elongate. You rush to the side with the research equipment and swipe it, throwing it the floor. You punch the cabinets and rip them down before kicking the chair and sending it flying into the other wall.

You grab the next object you can find and throw it too, letting out a roar. How dare they! They kept you here for months, away from Logan, away from the world just to use you. To take from you.

Your breathing picks up and senses dial in, the Jackal taking control. You sense another body in the room and go to attack, throwing a punch with your teeth bared.

The other person blocks the attack but you quickly deliver another, this time landing the blow. You throw punch after punch, teeth bared each time and ready to tear their throat out.

The other person doesn’t seem to fight back which only makes you angrier. You eyes narrow on their neck, watching as their pulse raises and falls and you go in for the kill. You need to make them pay for what they did to you.

“Y/N!” You hear but it doesn’t register, the urge to fight still prominent.

You lunge, ready to make contact but the person stops you. Their hands encircle around your wrist and hold so tight you think you hear your bone snap. You don’t care.

With your arms pinned to your sides, you keep trying to get at their throat. To get even. To get revenge.

“Y/N! Snap out of it!” The voice yells again.

You feel your back slammed against the wall and let out a gasp as the impact causes the wind to knock out of you.

“Hey! Sweetheart! Knock it off!” The voice yells and this time something clicks.

Sweetheart.

There’s only one person that calls you that.

Logan.

You take a deep breath in and suddenly everything comes back again. You’re not there. Well you are, but you’re out. They’re not hurting you anymore.

The scent of Logan is suddenly all you can smell and your teeth and nails return to normal as your eyes meet brown. Logan is looking down at you, still holding you pinned to the wall.

His eyes are concerned and understanding, searching yours to make sure the Jackal is gone.

“I-I’m sorry.” You croak out as tears start to fall. “I-“

“Hey shhh.” Logan says, slowly releasing your hands. “You’re okay.”

You nod, the tears now falling. You want to tell him. “They had me for months. They - they kept me sedated cause I fought too hard. And they - they.”

“Hey, you don’t gotta tell be bub.” Logan says, his hands now resting on your shoulders and gently moving over them.

It’s as if you don’t hear him as you continue. “I talked to J-Jean and they - they extracted my eggs to see if they could manipulate them to carry the X gene. For months they kept me out and just -“

You can’t finish, the thought once again being too much for you to handle.

Logan doesn’t say anything. But he does pull you into him tightly, his arms wrapping around your shoulders. You let him, your own moving to cling to his back, burying your face in his chest as sobs escape you.

His hands move up and down your back to try to calm you down. You take deep breaths, trying to slow your breathing and stop your tears. You listen to Logan’s heartbeat and own breaths to do so.

You’re finally able to stop crying but Logan doesn’t let you go. He just holds you, feeling that in this moment, that’s all you need.

He might not remember you and might not be your Logan, but in this moment, you realize he could become yours again.

Later that night, Ororo was still trying to fix the jet as Jean emerged from the underbelly and turned towards her. She sighed, running a hand through her hair. “I’ll try it again.”

She walked past Rogue, who slept next to Bobby, his arm was wrapped around her. Next to them, Pyro sat, angrily watching Kurt as he hung from a tree by his tail, asleep.

Logan tried to sleep in his text, wrapping in his sleeping bag and extra blanket, but it wasn’t long until Logan’s eyes sprung open as the tent flap silently slipped apart. A female figure entered. It was Jean. She sat on his sleeping bag as he eyed her curiously, opening his mouth to speak. She pressed her finger to his lips.

“No.” She crawled on top and began to kiss him. He kissed back, sliding his hand under her shirt before his claws pressed against her abdomen. He looked at her as she looked back and smirked, her eyes then turned yellow as she transformed into Mystique, her true form. Her mouth traveled to his ear. “No one ever left a scar quite like you.” She whispered as Logan narrowed his eyes.

“What do you want, an apology?” He asked as Mystique just sat up.

“You know what I want.”

“But, what do you want?” He asked as she then suddenly transformed to Ororo, then with a smile to Rogue, then to Stryker.

Logan throws her to the ground, and Mystique chuckles lightly, “What do you really want?” She then slowly transformed into you, as Logan narrowed his already narrowed eyes and growled lightly.

“I want you to get out.”

She sneered and snapped back into her true form, but before leaving, she turned to Logan, "I see the way you look at her."

The next morning, the X-Jet lifted up into the glowing morning sky. Rogue, Bobby, and Kurt watched Logan and Ororo suit-up into their battle uniforms, attaching small black receivers to their ears. Logan tossed a radio earpiece to you as you were adjusting your boots, and you caught it skillfully before it fell to the ground.

“Where’s ours?” Bobby asked, as Logan gave him a brief glance.

“On order. Should arrive in a few years.” Logan said, making you laugh out loud lightly, causing Bobby, Rogue, and Logan to look at her.

“Come on, Teach. Tell us we are not going to stay here for this mission?”

Bobby asked you, as you gave the teen a small smile, shrugging.

You readjusted the earpiece in your ear, “Well, sadly, yes. In a place full of snow, we don’t really need your help. Sorry, Bobby.” You replied as you pulled your X-Men leather jacket on.

Bobby gave out a huff as Ororo called Rogue up to the cockpit.

Rogue moved towards the controls, Bobby following close behind, holding onto the back of the cockpit seat. Ororo pointed appropriately to the controls and displays. “After we touch down and go in, you’re in charge. If something happens to us… Use the ascension control to get the plane off the ground. Do not try to control the plane while it’s in the air. The auto-navigation system will fly you home.” She explained to the young girl, who nodded, slightly nervous about the whole idea.

“Then what?” Bobby asked as Logan entered the cockpit.

“You’ve all got superpowers. Figure it out.”

In the back of the jet, Magneto sat across from Pyro. He held his helmet in his lap as the young boy just stared at him. “They say you’re the bad guy.” Pyro said, as Magneto gave him a small grin.

“Is that what they say?”

Pyro eyed the helmet. “That's a dorky looking helmet. What’s it for?”

He asked and Magento spoke up again.

“This dorky looking helmet is the only thing that’s going to protect me from the real bad guy. What’s your name?” He asked and Pyro shifted in his seat, straightening his back. 

“John.” Pyro replied.

“What’s your real name, John?” Magneto asked before Pyro answered once more.

Pyro thought for a moment. Apprehensive, he flicked his lighter open and began to play with the small flame. “Pyro.” He finally replied.

“That’s quite a talent you have there, Pyro.” Magneto said, as the boy in question looked up at the older man.

“I can only manipulate it. I can’t create it.” He spoke, but Magento just gave him a grin. 

“You are a God among pests. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.”

Stryker sat on the edge of a chair, bouncing a ball against a wall. Anne began to turn on the monitor, one by one. Each monitor displayed Charles’s children in custody.

“Why keep the children here, if they’re just going to die?” Anne asked Stryker as he continued to toss the ball at the wall.

“Why? So we can make sure that it’s working.” He answered as Anne turned back to the monitors.

Above the skies of Alkali Lake, the X-Jet hovered in the air. You, Logan, Jean, and Ororo assembled around a floating 3D hologram that showed a photographic terrain map of the landscape. Magneto and Mystique also perceived, but stood back a bit. Logan looked strongly at it, staring at it as he thought. The dam, tunnels, and Alkali base are all visible. From the naked eye, nothing but snow met the base and dam.

Jean clicked a button. “This is a topographic map of the area.” She spoke, before the holographic map suddenly changed into a brilliant red, with differing degrees of pink and white marks that serve repetitive impact over time. “And here are the recent density changes. The lighter the mark, the heavier the activity.” She continued, gesturing to the screen once more.

They saw a list of white lines come out of the right tunnel. Logan shook his head with a sly smile. “That’s the entrance.”

Jean switched the map once again. It turned crystal blue with varying degrees of white and blue water activity. The entrance tunnel and spillway are all dark blue. “This shows the depth of the ice that covers the ground, water movement.”

Ororo leaned closer to the screen, the gears in her head turning, “If we all go in here, he could flood the spillway.” She then said, pointing to the spillway.

Jean looked to Kurt. “Can you teleport inside?” She asked him as he shook his head.

“I have to be able to see where I’m going, otherwise I could wind up inside a wall.” He explained as Jean sighed and turned to you.

“What about you?” You sadly shook your head, your hair getting in your face slightly.

“I can’t. After reading Logan's mind I can't really do much right now." You raised your hand to brush the stray strands away.

There was a long pause before Logan spoke, “I have an idea.”

Logan walked alone down the spillway corridor. He came upon the run-off shafts and gazed into the corridor on the right. No sign of water. He carefully continued inside. “Stryker!” His voice reverberated through the massive tunnel. “It’s me. Wolverine!” Logan yelled. He walked further into the tunnel, still, no signs of water. Above him, a small video camera in the shadows watched Logan approaching.

In the control room, Wilkins, a fatigued guard, looked up to see Logan on one of the monitors. Anne looked over his shoulder. “What do you want me to do?” Wilkins asked as the woman stared down at the monitors.

“Flood it.” She demanded as Wilkins moved for a button.

His finger just brushed the button before Stryker stopped him, “Wait.” He peered over their shoulders and smiled. “Is he alone?”

“Yes, sir.” Wilkins replied.

Wilkins had his finger on the button, waiting. Stryker pauses, thinking.

“Send a team, and bring him to me in the North Corridor. Carefully.”

Stryker said to Anne and she was quick to stand and lead a few men to get Logan.

In the spillway tunnel, Logan walked cautiously through the tunnel. In front of him, a section of the wall opened and three soldiers emerged, their rifles up. Behind him, another wall opened and three more soldiers appeared. Logan was surrounded. “Don’t move! Hands in the air!” A soldier commanded, his gun raised.

Oddly, Logan obeyed. With their guns raised they led Logan down a corridor, arms and feet shackled, guns to his head. Stryker waited for them at the end. As he approached Logan, he stared at him closely, staring into his eyes, the cocky grin on his face suddenly faded. “Who do you think you’re looking at?” Stryker asked as Anne looked at him confused.

“Sir?” Anne asked.

“You make such a good impression on video, but in person.” Stryker said to Logan.

He lifted a gun to Logan’s head, finger on the trigger. Logan quickly converted into Mystique. Her arms, now thinner, slipped from the shackles, as did her legs and feet. She wrapped the shackles around Stryker’s gun, ripping it away, and knocking him into the wall. Immediately, two guards fired, she ducked, and the guards shot each other, as she did a handspring forward. Anne whipped out a pistol, but Mystique hit her arm as she fired. The bullet pierced a nearby pipe. Fumes shot out and packed the corridor. Stryker stood and tried to see through the steam. Mystique was gone. Stryker charged off and a living guard followed.

Alarms blared. Wilkins, the only guard left in the control room, nearly leaped out of his seat and began studying the monitors. On the monitors, Stryker walked quickly through the hall, accompanied by the guard. “What the…” Wilkins spoke confusedly.

The doors opened and Stryker and the guard entered. “Seal the room!” Stryker commanded.

Wilkins quickly did as he was told, and he pressed some buttons. Large doors pushed shut on the monitors. “What’s happening?” Wilkins asked urgently, eyes wide.

“We have a metamorphosis. She could be anybody.” Stryker explained. 

“Anybody?” Wilkins asked, his eyebrows raising.

In the spillway corridor, you, Magneto, Logan, Jean, Ororo, Kurt, stood high above the spillway corridor. “She’s good.” Logan spoke, as Magneto smiled proudly. 

“You have no idea.” Magneto replied.

At the same time, in the Control Room, the real Stryker stood outside the massive Control Room with Anne. He pushed a button to open it. It doesn’t budge. He tried again, but it was no use; he slammed the door with his hand.

“The door is twenty inches thick, sir.” Anne tensely watched Stryker lose control.

“Yes. But she’s in there. She’s in there and I’m out here!” Stryker said under his breath, breathing heavily.

Lyman walks up to them. “Sir, she’s opened the main entrance. More mutants have entered the base.”

“Can we flood the spillway?” Stryker asked quickly as Lyman pursed his lip.

“Everything’s controlled from inside the room.”

“Get the machine here, drill a hole through this door, and kill whoever’s inside. I don’t care who they look like.” Stryker demanded, letting out an exhale. He then turned to Anne and made a resolution. “They can’t stop anything. In twenty minutes they’ll all be on their knees. Evacuate the men and let loose our new recruit. Set the charges, and meet me in Augmentation. I’ll have my final chat with 143, then we’re leaving.”

Okay, folks! What about a Legend of the Guardians; The Owls of Ga'Hoole-inspired au? Where the human and mutants are all owl avians/harpies, they live in cities and hollows and caves of the owl kingdoms, and the mutants are a rare, near extinct species (in the au, not in real life) (so, something like bubo, strix, or tyto, species and subsequent subspecies). Fun facts:

• the Pure Ones are the Brotherhood and Acolytes in this au

• the Guardians are the X-Men, and the Institute is the Great Ga'Hoole Tree

• mutants are a rare or near extinct species of owl avians/harpies, but I think a good species + subspecies would be bubo owls, strix owls, or tyto owls

• the owl kingdoms are: The Canyons (home of the brainwashing place called St. Aegolius for Orphaned Owls) (I'm on the rocks if Magento runs it or if some other villain does); the Beaks; The Silverveil Woods; Ambala Forests; and the Kingdom of (either Bubo, Strix, or Tyto, depending on which type of owls the mutants are)

My theory about why Magneto looked sad was because he was thinking of Wanda and Pietro.

In season five of the classic series, it was hinted at the Phalanx episode that Pietro could warm up to being his son and talking to him, but Wanda has yet to be sure if she wants to forge a parent child relationship with him...

Part 2 could explore his dealing with the discovery of parenthood, specially as he sees Cyclops and Jean bonding with their baby, Nathan...

The reason why Magneto looked so saddened was because…..he's deeply lonely.

I mean, really think about it……

Besides being revered as a freedom fighter for mutants, what does Magento really have going for him in life.

In all honesty, not much.

He has no friends, and the only one he had left is now in space getting his cheeks clapped by his bird alien GF.

He can't exactly settle down, given how well known is he by the entire world.

That would be a very stressful life for him.

He doesn't have a special somebody, and the last time he was in love, it ended horribly for both of them.

And I don't think he'll have much luck with dating.

Most people don't find old men all that attractive.

Especially ones who most likely have a bounty on their head.

And the only family he has left literally want nothing to do with him.

How much you want to bet that the twins have legal restraining orders against Magento?

I mean, even with his newfound legacy…..

As I once heard somewhere before……

Success is particularly meaningless if you have no one special to share it with.

That's the reason why he looks so saddened during the montage, seeing the X-Men and their love for each other, reminds him of what he doesn't have.

I think a major factor for this newfound loneliness is his age.

I mean, the dude is suppose to be in his 70s.

And even though he does have that hardly ever mentioned deaccelerated aging (hench why he still has the body of a man still in his prime), it's pretty clear that it's not that strong.

Especially when compared to other mutants who have it like Wolverine and Mystique (the former of which is pushing 200 and still looks like he's in his 30s!).

Magneto probably knows he only has like, a decade or two left to live.

Whereas The X-Men still have many decades left to live!

And as he's gotten older, Magneto has started to realize just how empty his life truly is.

And his greatest fear is that when he finally kicks the bucket, he'll be going to the grave with no friends.....

No family....

And a legacy that paints him as nothing but a monster and a menace to society.

I think that's the reason why he actually he choose to follow Charles' will and become the leader of The X-Men, despite not really respecting or liking them all that much.

So he could finally have a chance at real companionship and feel like he finally found a place to belong.

But there's one small problem with that.....

They hate his guts.

A Problem With Magento

Oh look another X-Men related post, yes I know I've been making a lot of posts about the X-Men recently. Anyways I wanted to throw my thoughts out about the character of Magneto and the dynamic he and Charles Xavier have.

So Magneto is often depicted as a sympathetic villain who has good points, but at the same time falls into the whole oh but they do bad things like kill. Many sympathetic villains bug me in how they are depicted, and how they create unsympathetic heroes in turn. But That's not what this post is about, just remember Nimona is a great movie fight me!

Okay back on track, Magneto and Xavier are often said to represent or be depicted like 2 individuals from the Civil Rights Movement. I don't like this because it basically plays into this old pitting of 2 individuals against each other post one of their deaths by a certain garbage nation leader. But also the person Magneto is often used to represent never tried to wipe all of the opposing side or rule over them. Something we see in the movies, comics, and tv shows. Like how in X2 Magneto basically tries to wipe out all non mutants. Which also ties into my previous post about the lack of mutant supporters and groups of people who have suffered in very similar ways mutants, and would definitely exist in such a world. That basically Magneto would wipe out those people as well, and the group that he shares an identity with as well.

Speaking of that identity, does anyone else find it odd that Magneto adopts the ideology of the people who did that to him and others because of that identity? You have him referring to non mutants as bugs, lesser, etc. While referring to mutants as superior, gods, and goddesses with other characters adopting such language as well. With Magneto either trying to wipe out all non mutants all out like in X2, or like in rule over them like he plans to do in X-Men: First Class.

Speaking of first class you have Magneto literally saying he agrees with everything that Sebastian Shaw says. It almost a bit worse given Magneto and other mutants associated with him like the Brotherhood of Mutants are an allegory for specific groups, and someone like Magneto adopting the ideology of the oppressors of said groups is just too similar to fear of said oppressors that said groups will do back to the oppressors what was done to them. It also falls into that same issue I made a post about where characters in the X-Men world act like mutants aren't humans. In the end I just find it weird an oppressed character would adopt the views of their oppressor, I don't think many would do something like that. The whole thing seems like there's almost an intent to make him a hypocrite.

Here's Kastiya Mas, best known as KM! He's Zhask's son, and is a skilled self-trained archer and alchemist (this one comes from mom).

A little about the smol bean: READMORE

Name: Kastiya Mas

His name means 'Luck of Kastiya'. Kastiya was the planet he was named after. Various interpretations of the name can be found if you asked its inhabitants before the planet blew up, including 'Home', 'Protection', 'Prosperity', and 'Source of Power'. He is Zhask's greatest achievement.

Alias: Green Reaper, pufferfish (and many other nicknames) (by Dylan), son (by Zhask), little one (by Rista)

Age: In the above image, 16.

I have many different designs for him, each featuring a different insect as a base. For his current age as shown, his base is a Malaysian giant click beetle mixed with various other cute beetles I've found.

Occupation: Assassin, Informant, Weaver, Street Performer

He began working for Rista at the young age of nine, soon after he ran away from the Eruditio due to constant bullying on him and his previous caretaker. While he was working for Rista, his current caretaker, he became her informant due to how small and talented he was. She learned his squeaks so their messages were naturally encoded. He also worked to clean the carriage and give Erebus headpats.

As an assassin, he uses his bow and arrows, sometimes using a butterfly knife for close-quarters combat. His victims have never been found, only their eyeballs. He usually takes them home to store and eat.

He has never been caught, and will never be caught. He is unregistered in any database. His victims are on missing persons lists and he beams with pride whenever he sees the notice boards grow. He does not discriminate between men, women, children, either-ors, neither-nors, or animals. He is a threat. Don't bother locking your doors, don't bother with guns or bats. He will find you. He will kill you. And he will devour you raw.

Weaving is more of his hobby than anything. He sells off his handmade clothes for a fair price, affordable even to the poor. He weaves many things, including tapestries, clothes, carpets, and curtains. It's a lucrative business, and he can't help but keep it going.

He is also a street performer when he's not weaving. His voice sounds like a youthful trail mix. He wields a keytar, and his keys are secretly daggers.

Special powers: Implosion and Explosion

First discovered during a board meeting Zhask had with fellow informants, diplomats, and advisors. He was chewing on a salt cookie when his powers arose. He imploded the entire room, crushing anyone unlucky enough to be within the radius and turning their insides out quite gorily, and exploded them back out. There were only three survivors, Zhask, his wife, and baby Kastiya's maid. All of them thankfully on the other side of the table when it happened.

Zhask thought much of his power due to such a risk (after all, such power could kill him) but the moment he started crying and squeaking he just couldn't bear to. He picked him up, dusted off the shrapnel and blood, and gave him a nuzzle. And no more salt. Only sodium supplements.

After some research he learned that this was an ancient power that formed this planet. It was a power held by their ancestors who shaped mountains and rivers and caverns. A special son was born, and he couldn't pass out on this opportunity. There was a reason his name was Kastiya. Initially for honour, now he bore history.

He would not control this power until he turns 17, with Dylan's (his boyfriend) help. It would further be expanded upon by Zhask and completed at the age of 22.

He pulls in carbon based lifeforms and metals. He's like Magneto, if Magento also pulls in people and twists their guts inside out.

Flaws: Lack of outer exoskeletal plating, learned to read at 16 with Dylan's help, learned to count at 15 when his assassination payments felt off.

As a child he used to be a prodigy, having learned to read and count at the very young age of thirty-six months. Sadly, those were Kastiyan numbers and letters, and communication was squeaking so he did roughly in Eruditian schools. He avoided writing, reading, and counting altogether due to trauma-related incidents and he mostly did his work on pattern recognition and memorization. He can talk but he's illiterate until taught.

Due to his lack of an outer exoskeleton, he would be considered disabled by fellow Kastiyans since their definition of disabled is based on environmental survivability and sustainability. KM is more prone to severe injuries, illnesses, and above all, a really bad back.

History:

Hatched from an egg. Molted into a toddler-shaped Kastiyan at 6 months old. Learned to read and count at 1½ years old. Began learning princely duties at 5 years old. Kastiya exploded at 8 years old.

Spent six months in the Eruditio, and ran away from home aftere severe neglect, bullying, abuse, and overall general displeasure. Came to Rista's carriage and worked for her. Worked as a back-and-forth informant until 20 years old.

Killed his previous caretaker after an accident at the age of 16. He was talking with one of KM's victims and left the room. Soon after, KM took the shot. The arrow went in through an open window and he died. His caretaker came in for an item he left behind and saw the scene, reporting it to the authorities immediately. KM swooped in to claim the body unnoticed after he left the scene to call for help.

Returned to his distressed caretaker's home to apologise, but after receiving death threats he killed him with his bare hands. Couldn't bear to eat him, so just left him there.

Molted into juvenile at 13 years old. Began weaving at 13 years old. Began assassinating at 15 years old. Fell in love at 16 with a dolphin prince, Dylan. Met with Zhask at the age of 17. Learned how to count at the age of 15. Learned how to read at 16. Learned how to control power from 17 to 22. Adulthood molt at 21. Laid an egg at 24. Named her Carrie (wifey we'll talk about her later).

Lost his virginity on his 18th birthday. Thanks Dylan!

Armour:

Coloured in such a way for light-based eyestrain and camouflage. Strategic armour wearing protects internal exoskeleton and regulates body temperature. UwU mask claimed as a 'gift' from one of his victims.

Chainmail skirt because he's a femboy. Also owns a pair of pink bunny headphones.

Wing pattern:

Kastiyan Royal Insignia.

Initially a doodle by Zhask in the margins of his schoolwork, he pranked his people on his 34th birthday by announcing the change to the royal insignia. Expecting to reveal the truth that it was a prank by sundown, he was shocked to see the people adopting it, tolerating it, being very accepting of it. So after a hilariously hysterical board meeting it was changed to symbolise Zhask's his power and success.

Happy birthday, dad!

A year later, KM was born, and as soon as he hatched from an egg, he funnily enough had the insignia birthmarked onto his back. An obvious way of saying "PROPERTY OF ZHASK DO NOT TOUCH OR YOU DIE".

After a toddler molt, it appeared on the underside of his wings. In his juvenile molt, it appeared on the outside of his wings, and assisted in Zhask's recognition of him the first time they met. It's as if it knew they would reunite.

Insignia disappeared in adulthood. After an illness leaving him in critical condition (Cordyceps), Zhask had to dissect him and found out that the insignia was inside his body all this time. AS THE ORGAN PLACEMENT.

I SHIT YOU NOT HIS ORGANS WERE ARRANGED EXACTLY LIKE THE INSIGNIA.

To honour his survival and this newfound discovery,he had it succubus/incubus-tattooed onto his lower stomach, courtesy of Alice.

In-game:

Skill 1: Explosive arrows. Damages targets in a small range.

Skill 2: Potions. Like Luo Yi, potions that will be thrown will be shown. One of three in a medium range. Healing, Damage, Stun.

Skill 3: Keytar. KM pulls out his keytar and shoots out his dagger-keys. Has a timer and an attack limit like Yve's ultimate. Medium range.

Ultimate: KM ingests salt (ultimate loading animation like Zhask) and implodes, pulling in all enemies and enemy minions, damaging them and leaving them in an airborne state. Will explode them out in various locations, also dealing damage and leaving them stunned. Ultimate can be used multiple times within 10 seconds, but damage decreases with each usage so make the first implosion count!

Recall animation: Gay hand flip.

Has a black cat named Michael. It can stand on two legs.
