okay fuck it im telling yall about my magical girl au
heres three and eights designs, more info under the cut
this is a 24 centric au, bc im a filthy lesbian
magical girl au is an au where two celestial magical girls, sun (who is always an inkling) and moon(who is always an octoling), exist to fight off the existential horror that is The Void. The Void wants to eat all that exists, bc it doesn't like it when things exist. all the last worlds were eaten by the void (this is how humanity goes extinct). magical girls hold a form of magic that repels the void. every time an old magical girl died, the power went into suitable host, and so the cycle continues. all went pretty swimmingly until 100 years ago, when no new magical girls rose after the last two passed away in the great turf war.
one hundred years later, only two great cities still stand. octolings are underground, inklings think octolings are extinct and are also honestly not doing so well themselves. old wards made by the magical girls of old are starting to fade. shits gone even more to shit. and two young girls, one inkling, one octoling, wake up one day imbued with the lost magic of old.
eight(she/her) or Elara, after transforming for the first time, is trained directly under octavio as octarias perfect secret weapon. She never needs more than one shot to take someone out. Eight is kind of a cold hearted badass in this au, she warms up later but its a slow process.
three(she/they) or Cyra, or Blaire, they like to switch names a lot but those r the most common ones they take. Anyway they join the splatoon on a whim (they were new in inkopolis and really bored) and her powers are extremely useful for the splatoon. three kind of goes with whatever they feel like is the best option, trusting their gut more than their head. semi related to this shes a smug little bastard in this au who likes hunting for a good fight. they stop being such a little shit later but, again, its a slow process.
both three and eight are fiercely protective of the people they care about, willing to do next to anything to make sure everybody is safe.
cuttlefish and octavio(unseen) kind of both collectively take seeing the magic back as a weird nationalist sign that they were right actually and -insert demographic here- is the bestest ever or something.
these pictures r of their magical girl forms just before octo expansion. magical girl forms r made by the user and fully based on their personality, and octo expansion changes some Things about these bitches.
Bonus!
Thanks for reading all my bullshit, heres a picture of threes face

I like to Think that Psychic Dion has the Weakest Hydrokinesis out of all The Aquato Siblings, and That Once they Went Near the Water n a Dare and "The Curse" was the Weakest with Him which Prompted a Lot of Teasing about him being closest Related to Donatella
And I imagine that After they Realize it Wasn't a Curse someone Brings this up to Him and He just Goes Full Denial mode
OHHH that makes sense cause he's been repressing it longest!!! He'd need more time to accept himself for his powers to get to Raz or Frazie's level, they both practiced as kids. He goes FULL denial, no, they're wrong, it was totally one of the psychic kids who did it, he was just in the way! He shuts it down hard. If Raz pushed him, they'd probably end up in another fight... where Dion makes a wave rush out of the nearby stream and splash Raz. Whoops! No way to deny it now! On the cute side, maybe Dion takes after his Nona and makes water snakes- not big evil ones, but tiny little noodles who play around with him. Or maybe he can make a little bubble of air underwater for him to sit down there longer- best place to get some alone time is the bottom of the river in a psychic bubble you made. Maybe he studies under Bob and learns how to always give all the plants exactly the right amount of water they need.

Okay, okay so I’m thinking of an au mashup in which Obi Wan gets de-aged in the middle of the clone wars, except Obi Wan is now at the age when his prophetic visions and slightly offputting nature were at they’re height.
I tend to follow the belief, in Seer!Obi wan fics, that Yoda took one look at the 8 year old Obi Wan who keeps telling him increasingly creepy little snippets of his future and the looked at Sifo-Dyas rocking back and forth in the corner doodling the same face over and over, with slight variations, muttering insanities as Dooku tries to lure him out with a trail of biscuits and tea, and just went. No. Absolutely not. Not doing this again. And the council at the time just sort of agreed to put a mental block in place to stop Obi Wan from growing up into Sifo-Dyas Junior.
This is was all fine and dandy, until Obi Wan is suddenly 7 again without this block in place and planets away from anyone capable of rebuilding it again. Force forbid they allow Skywalker a go at it.
Now there’s an unsettling redheaded child making very worrying, very creepy comments.
Anakin: awww, aren’t you a cute!!!
Baby!Obi-Wan: Your hands drip with the blood of trillions, Your arrogance veils the sins you wish not to confront, Your decrepit body shall live on long past your own death, in a cage of its own making.
Anakin: : - 0
Baby!Obi-Wan: but thank you : - )
Ahsoka and Rex are very reluctant to be near the baby after he tells them how everyone they love will die and they shall continue on, surrounded but alone all the same.
Cody and the 212th choose to endure the comments on how they will die enslaved, put down by the masters that created them, deprived of personhood and kindness because creepy baby or not, that’s they’re general right there, they can figure all the freakiness out after the they’ve comforted the child. (They are immensely worried over this, though)
It’s not like Obi wan is enjoying this either. He doesn’t want to predict all this, it won’t stop!
Dooku, on the other hand is thrilled. He kind of regrets not keeping his lover Sifo-Dyas around as his own personal fortune cookie machine / Magic 8 ball. Not cause he misses him or anything. Not at all. He just thinks the tactical advantage would be wonderful! (This is slightly ignorant of how unstable and harmful Sifo’s visions were) To have his Grandpadawan back in this impressionable, powerful state would also be wonderful!
He changes his mind after about 10 minutes with said grandpadawan.
He wants the adult one back please. The 7 year old is dissecting his soul and telling him how pointless his life decisions have been :-(
Shit really hits the fan when baby!Obi-Wan accidentally bumps into Sheev.
Obi wan returns to adult form in a galaxy that sort of resembles this
Tumblr media
He can’t do much complaining though considering it was him that caused this.

Hey I hope you're having a good day! I'm sure you've already got a handful of prompts but how about *shakes magic 8-ball* number 17, meeting at a party whilst drunk au!
hello thank you for sending this in!! i'm still working down my list of prompts, and this one is: meeting at a party whilst drunk
i took some liberties with the prompt here though, so really this is meeting (again after a long time) at a party whilst drunk
(2.8k) (gffa, anakin leaves the order after the war au)
Usually, Obi-Wan is better about this sort of thing. It is, after all, a matter of utmost importance. It’s a matter of survival.
Usually, when he receives an invitation to an event, he does not commit himself to going until he can complete some reconnaissance about the other guests invited. Until he knows beyond a reasonable doubt that Anakin Skywalker, ex-Jedi and current husband to Senator Amidala, will not be in attendance.
It is much better this way. For everyone involved, really, but especially for Obi-Wan and his poor fool’s heart. It is much better if they keep an entire planet between themselves these days—preferably multiple planets. Preferably half a galaxy.
But this is a retirement party for Bail, and Obi-Wan cannot miss it. His old friend deserves better than that, better than Obi-Wan’s cowardice getting in the way of a celebration of his decades-long career in the Senate.
So he accepts the invitation without researching the guest list. He thinks—he hopes—that in the past nine years, Anakin Skywalker’s intense dislike of Bail Organa has not waned. Anakin, when Obi-Wan knew him, when he was Obi-Wan’s—Obi-Wan’s padawan—had a tendency to make a snap judgement about someone and never change his opinion.
His hatred had been like an impenetrable wall, unchanging and immovable.
His love had ebbed and flowed, drowned out by his anger or his irritation, coming in great waves when he was in a fine mood and resembling a desert’s drought when he was upset.
But his hatred had always been unshakable once assigned. The very first time Obi-Wan saw it in Anakin’s eyes when he looked at him, a year after he left the Order and the last time they'd seen each other, he’d known for a fact that he’d lost him. That the love had dried up and gone and that it would never return. It’d felt like watching Anakin leave the Temple all over again, like a hand clenched around his heart squeezing and squeezing and squeezing.
So he hopes that Anakin has chosen not to attend Bail’s retirement party. Oh, he knows that Anakin’s wife is here, and he has already downed two flutes of sparkling wine to prepare himself for the sight of her looking resplendent across the ballroom, but he hopes that Anakin has chosen to stay home instead of wasting an evening fawning over a man he never liked in the first place.
Besides, someone should look after the children. They’re nine now, Obi-Wan knows. If they are anything like Anakin was at that age, they must need constant supervision. And he has already seen Senator Amidala once tonight from afar, knows that she is here amongst the party-goers.
He tightens his grip on his fourth flute of wine and turns his attention back to his conversation partner.
It is rather rude to be so preoccupied in the midst of a conversation with another, but Obi-Wan is an old man now and a war hero. He’s allowed to get away with much more these days than he could in the past.
“Yes, I admit the Jedi Order still has far to go in order to rebuild itself,” he says, mind torn between the small talk and the drink in his hand. These sorts of conversations are easy to have. Yes, the war took a lot out of the Jedi Order. Yes, we are still working through the damages and the trauma. Yes, it’s been ten years since, but sometimes it feels as if it was only yesterday. Yes, sometimes it feels as if I am still fighting.
And then—
Then the woman he is talking to grows bold. She rests her hand on his forearm, the one that is holding the flute of wine, and steps closer.
And in the Force, there is a rumbling of pure, visceral hatred, the sort Obi-Wan has only ever felt in the air a few times.
The sort that is achingly, distressingly familiar.
He turns his head, even though he knows he should not look. He knows looking will take him out at the knees. He knows he may never recover if he looks.
He turns his head and he looks anyway. There, across the room, standing to the left of a load bearing pillar is the drawn and furious face of Anakin Skywalker, ex-Jedi, ex-padawan.
Obi-Wan’s first thought is that he looks older, though he realizes a moment later how absolutely inane that is. Of course he looks older. It has been nine years since he really talked to him, eight years since he last saw him, and he has tried to avoid any news or photos about the man at all. In his mind, he is still as he was in those days and months following the end of the war. But logically, he knows that the time has passed, that not even the Chosen One is immune to aging.
Anakin’s hair is streaked with shoots of silver. It’s short now, cropped close to his head though still curling as much as he lets it. His face is worn, wrinkled in different, unfamiliar places. He is wearing finery befitting that of a senator’s husband, the color of a midnight sky.
It is strangely comforting to see him dressed in the same colors he has worn since he was a youngling in Obi-Wan’s care. If he were wearing white or, or green or pink, then Obi-Wan isn’t sure he’d be able to recognize him at all.
“Are you quite alright, Master Kenobi?” the woman asks, words filtering in through the static noise in Obi-Wan’s head.
No. Of course he is not alright.
Yes. He is better than alright. He feels as if his head has broken the surface of the water he’s been trapped under for the past nine years. He feels as if the sight of Anakin Skywalker is a sip of water when he’s on the brink of dehydration.
“You know actually I am not sure,” he tells her, which is overly personal and not at all what he’d meant to say. But that is what the sight of Anakin Skywalker does these days. It throws him off, makes him loose-tongued and off-centered.
Fuck, he thinks once, viciously.
“If you’ll excuse me,” he tells her, carefully separating himself from her touch and taking a step away. She looks disappointed almost immediately, and Obi-Wan should care about the image he’s making, how impolite he is being, but he has bigger concerns right now.
Anakin Skywalker is here.
“Enjoy your evening,” he adds as he raises his flute of wine to his lips and drains it in one go. “Unfortunately, I’m going to go get incredibly drunk.”
“Uh,” the woman says, but Obi-Wan is already gone. He can’t—he can’t stay. Not in this room, not under the weight of Anakin Skywalker’s stare.
Thank the Force he started the night by giving his congratulations and warm regard to Bail. If things turn sour, he’ll be able to slip away with only minimal rudeness.
And, if he’s being quite honest, things have already soured beyond the point of salvation.
But instead of leaving—instead of slipping out the room and running back to the Temple, tail between his legs, he stays. Inexplicably, he grabs another flute of wine from a passing server and retreats to a balcony.
Fresh air will sober him up, he thinks, even as he downs half the flute.
He should leave, he thinks, even as he stays.
He should leave—but he cannot bring himself to. Anakin is here and it’s Obi-Wan’s worst nightmare and it’s the only thing he’s desired for the past nine years.
Barely a minute passes before the balcony door opens behind him. Obi-Wan keeps his eyes pinned to the city-scape around them.
“Occupied,” he says, even though he knows who it is. Even though he knows the word is useless. Anakin will not leave until he wants to.
“Obi-Wan,” Anakin says. Just his name, just three syllables.
Obi-Wan downs the rest of the flute. “Anakin,” he says, closing his eyes for a moment to gather himself before he turns to look at him.
Oh, he wishes he could blame the alcohol for how beautiful he finds him, but he knows that’s just some dark and twisted part of himself, some sinful and perverted aspect of his soul he has never been able to scrub clean.
“How are you?” He says, because he cannot let Anakin speak first. If he lets Anakin speak first, there will be a diplomatic incident, surely. If he lets Anakin speak first, Anakin will control the conversation—Anakin will tear through all of his shields and land on his sorest, most vulnerable spots. “How are the children?” “Do you even know their names?” Anakin spits back, eyebrows drawn dark and heavy over his expression. His face is flushed. He must have been drinking as well. “How old they are? Do not ask after my children as if you care about them at all, Obi-Wan—I know you don’t!”
“Luke,” Obi-Wan says. “Leia.”
Oh, he wishes Anakin were right. He wishes he didn’t know a damn thing about them, about him, about the life he lives now. One completely separate and void of Obi-Wan.
Anakin probably does not notice his absence. After all, he has a wife, two children. A part-time job, if Bail can be believed. He wonders if he still meditates facing the wrong way, back to the sun, and suddenly his heart feels so tight he can hardly breathe through the pain.
Anakin sneers. “Whatever,” he says and reaches into the folds of his robes to pull out a silver flask. He raises it to his lips and takes a swig, rubbing a hand over his mouth when he’s done, capping it and sliding back into his robes.
It is the alcohol that loosens his tongue, Obi-Wan knows it. Obi-Wan understands that he has had too much to drink tonight to be standing before Anakin Skywalker now, that anything that comes out of his mouth will be something he regrets in the morning.
But does it really matter? How could it matter? Anakin Skywalker was his whole life for a decade and a few years, and then he left. And now a decade has passed. In five years, he will have spent longer missing him than he spent loving him. What does a few words matter now?
Obi-Wan has already lost everything. He is already made of regret.
“I don’t know why you insist on acting so hatefully,” he says. “You left.”
He means, of course, that if anyone should hate anyone here, it is Obi-Wan’s right to hate Anakin.
Impossible, as it were, but his right. Anakin left.
Obi-Wan asked him to stay.
“You kissed me,” Anakin spits back.
And yes, alright. He kissed him as well.
His fingers itch for another flute of wine. Perhaps a swallow of the flask in Anakin’s robes. Anything. Anything to dull the white-hot ache of this conversation. Anything to escape these consequences.
“Nine years ago,” he says, quietly. “It’s been nine years, Anakin.”
Let it go.
He hadn’t—he really hadn’t meant to kiss him. It had been—a foolish mistake, something that had happened late at night, a few months after the end of the war, and they had been in Obi-Wan’s quarters, drinking and talking and Anakin had said something about leaving the Order, and Obi-Wan had said something about him staying, and Anakin had said, Padmé is pregnant, and Obi-Wan—Obi-Wan had kissed him.
A foolish mistake, made only survivable by the way that, for a handful of precious seconds, Anakin had kissed him back.
Before the yelling, the hatred, the anger. The leaving. Before all of that, Anakin had kissed him back.
“I have already apologized, Anakin,” Obi-Wan whispers, exhausted, and his eyes cut away from Anakin, turn back to the city. “I have thought of that moment countless times–-and I cannot begin to explain what came over me, what I was thinking at the time.”
He just—he hadn’t wanted Anakin to leave. Had thought that perhaps if he could—if he could give Anakin himself in all the ways one person could devote themselves to another, then maybe it would be enough. Maybe he would stay.
A foolish hope, one that Obi-Wan should have known better than to entertain even for a moment.
“I have thought of it too,” Anakin says. He clears his throat. He lurches forward, unsteady on his feet. His hand comes into contact with Obi-Wan’s arm, glove on sleeve. Thank the Force for the layers still in between them.
“I’m sorry,” Obi-Wan murmurs, and the truth is that he means it as much as he does not. He is sorry for taking the brotherhood and friendship between them and shattering it. He is sorry that he kissed Anakin, that he hastened his leave.
But he is not sorry for knowing how his lips felt against his own. How he tasted.
Obi-Wan is a lonely old man, despite the family he has surrounded himself with at the Temple. Despite his new padawan that he has been training for the past eight years. Despite the trips he takes to see his retired men, Cody and the 212th scattered across the galaxy. Despite all the ways he fills his days, all the people he meets and talks to and trains with, he is still lonely. There is still a hole in his heart, a space that Anakin used to occupy.
“I have thought of it every day since,” Anakin says, repeating himself in that way drunkards do when they have forgotten they already started the same sentence a moment before.
“I’m—”
“It has haunted me,” Anakin says. His voice is sharp and angry and Obi-Wan wants to close his eyes and shy away from it. Obi-Wan, who has faced down Separatists and sith lords and blaster fire, wants to turn tail and hide. Retreat. Retreat.
Anakin’s voice turns—darker, wilder. His hand tightens and he tugs, just hard enough that it overbalances Obi-Wan. “I am haunted by the kiss you never should have given me.”
“Had I known you were married, I never would have—”
“You ruined it,” Anakin snaps. “You ruined my marriage!”
“I…” Obi-Wan’s throat clicks, words drying out. “What?”
“We filed for separation months ago,” Anakin says. His eyes are dark; he is holding his arm so tightly that it hurts. “Joint custody of the children, but a formal divorce. Amicable.”
Obi-Wan…Obi-Wan doesn’t know what to say. Doesn’t know if he can speak at all.
“It wouldn’t have been amicable if she knew though,” Anakin says. He takes a step forward. Obi-Wan gives ground. He does not know how else to fight Anakin. “If she knew what I thought about when I retreated from her touch. If she knew what—who—drove me from our bed every night to walk through our house like a ghost wandering the halls.”
“If your marriage ended over a kiss I gave you nine years ago, then it is hardly my fault,” Obi-Wan says, putting his hand on Anakin’s chest to keep distance between them. When did they become so close? This is much too close. Obi-Wan can smell Anakin’s soap, his sweat. The alcohol on his breath.
“But it is,” Anakin insists, unable still it seems to take his share of the blame and make his peace with it. “It is, because I spent half my life in love with you, then I finally commit to someone else—allow myself to look and love and appreciate someone else’s beauty—and then you kiss me, as if I have not already sworn loyalty to another! As if I could be yours to kiss! As if I still was!”
Obi-Wan shakes his head, unable to do more. “It was a kiss, Anakin, it was—I assure you, I am not such a good kisser that I can be blamed for your failed marriage when it was nine years ago!”
“Then you do not remember it as well as I do,” Anakin murmurs, and now—now the rage has turned darker, heady. His eyes catch and hold onto Obi-Wan’s lips. His eyes are more black than blue. His face is flushed. He is—so handsome. So beautiful still, after all of these years. “Let me refresh your memory,” he says, and Obi-Wan—
Obi-Wan is weak when it comes to Anakin. He always has been. He is so weak. And he needs—he needs so much. He makes a sound, something embarrassingly small and desperate, and then Anakin is kissing him and it feels like being sliced open and like coming home, all at the same time.
Like how it felt when he returned to the quarters he shared with Qui-Gon after his master had died—a homecoming, but at what cost? A death and a birth, all at the same time. He had lingered in the doorway that first time, unable to push himself across and into quarters that felt both strange and familiar.
It had been Anakin, a small boy still, who had grabbed him by the hand and pulled him inside.
Still now, even all these years later, Obi-Wan closes his eyes and allows himself to follow Anakin’s lead.

Have you ever been alone in a crowded room? | @hgejfmw-hgejhsf | T+ | 5k
When the Legendary Balls-Out Bananas White House Trio New Year's Eve Party is interrupted by a security threat, Henry, Pez, Nora, June, and Alex find themselves locked in the White House library for their own protection with nothing but time, a few bottles of champagne, and some lighthearted conversation, until a single question threatens to change everything for Henry.
(+ read their first au fic here ahh!)

It's been ten years since Alex was in London to stage a PR friendship with Henry after ruining the royal wedding. It's also been ten years since Alex dropped to his knees in front of Henry in a Kensington Palace kitchen. But now Henry's in the Hamptons for the summer, and who should he bump into? None other than Alex Claremont-Diaz, who happens to be working in New York all summer long.
You Are the Wave I Could Never Tame | bleedingballroomfloor | E | 12k
That should be it. Henry is doing his job; the pool is getting cleaned, and Alex shouldn’t think anything more of it. Then why does he feel the slightest bit of disappointment when he walks back to the pool house and Henry isn’t there? Or, the pool boy Henry AU that I couldn't stop thinking about until I wrote it.
if evil, why so cute? | @everwitch-magiks | E | 5k
Alex’s cat hates Alex, but loves Henry, the Bookstagram influencer who’s on vacation in Alex’s quiet seaside town. And while Alex is pretty salty about his grumpy cat’s inexplicable affection for a complete stranger, he must admit he can see the appeal; Henry is fucking gorgeous. It’s why Alex follows him on Instagram in the first place. It's just, Alex had never thought he’d be officially introduced to Henry by his own goddamn cat. Or: Henry takes a two-week vacation to a seaside cabin with the intent to read a lot of books. Instead, he has a lot of sex.
Just like that | @myheartalivewrites | E | 10k
When Henry comes home from a date frustrated by the guy’s lack of expertise, Alex starts having thoughts. And then, because he’s Alex, he sticks his big foot in his even bigger mouth.

Set in and around the Henry bonus chapter, this is a story about Henry and Alex’s hectic schedules, family appearances etc. pulling them apart, and about what starts to happen between them, in the quiet of night: their sleeping bodies turning to each other, finding their sweet spots and opening up. And Alex and Henry learning a lot about each other in the process

"For Christmas this year, all I would like is a best friend who doesn’t mind too much that I’m a prince. Most of my classmates poke fun because of who I am, or treat me like I’m too special to be their friend. I want a best friend who knows me as much as my family does and still likes me. I know that you can’t wrap a best friend up in a box and put it under the tree, but you’re magic so you know the best way to bring one." (Movieverse canon divergence; Prince Henry, age 8, writes to Father Christmas wishing for a best friend. A few weeks later, he finds one.)
A Picture on Your Corkboard | bleedingballroomfloor | M | 23k
It happens on a random morning in May when Alex, age fourteen, pads into the kitchen to greet his mother and steal a waffle from June's plate and sees a man sitting at their breakfast counter, reading a newspaper, a cup of coffee raised to his lips. Like he belongs. Like it's the most natural thing in the world. June doesn't seem to give the man a second thought. She merely flicks Alex on the forehead and takes back the waffle. Ellen isn't worrying, either. In fact, she's talking to him. Asking what his schedule is like. Making plans for dinner. Alex has never seen this man before in his life.

“Listen,” Nora starts, turning her body once more so that she’s sitting sideways in the chair with her legs thrown across the armrest. “I did the math. There’s a 79% chance you’re gonna become a slut to the power of the prostate, and while we’re not dating anymore, it’s my duty as your fellow slutty bisexual to get this party started.” Or, when Nora drags Alex to a holiday dildo workshop, he doesn’t expect to find someone to use it with.

“Like I said: Alphas really don’t know how to fuck.” “And like I said,” Alex sets down his mug and steps closer to Henry. “I can fuck and I know how to fuck you so well, you’ll see stars, baby.” [henry, an omega, hasn’t had good sex in a long time. as his alpha roommate and friend, alex can help with that. in a totally platonic bro way, of course]

Heyyy! Absolutely love your recs, your blog is literally my go to any time I feel like reading something💕
I was wondering if you know any (american) college!au Drarry fic? even better if it includes fraternities ehehehe
Hi anon, I’m so happy to hear that! Life is pretty hectic and I haven’t been around (or reading) much, but I expect things to calm down after summer so I hope you continue enjoying the blog 😊 I got a couple college/university AUs to rec although most are set in the UK. Enjoy!
The Anti Harry by @dracogotgame (G, 2k)
Harry has his eye on the new Fresher. The new Fresher has it in for Harry.
No Bones About It by @peachpety (T, 5k)
To remain eligible to play football for Hogwarts University, Harry needs to pass his gen bio exam. Too bad he chose the course based on the hotness of the TA and not the leniency of the professor. With the help of his friends and a Magic 8 Ball, Harry seeks tutoring from Draco Malfoy, Hot TA. Cue: chance encounters, flirting in library nooks, and prophecies fulfilled.
A Christmas Happenstance by Only_1_Truth (E, 5k)
The Hogwarts School for the Gifted and Supernatural had classes year-round, but the dormitories emptied out regularly on holidays as if the students were suddenly becoming allergic to the walls. Both humans and non-humans mingled freely in the surrounding town of Hogsmeade. Draco Malfoy, however, isn't feeling in the mood after a rather spectacular break-up.
Kissing Boys by JulietsEmoPhase (E, 6k)
Harry knows his dorm mate has a secret that's eating him up inside. One night he finally decides to try and help. Muggle college roommate AU. Smut.
Anyone But Him by RuArcher (E, 19k)
Harry thought going to a Muggle university would be the perfect opportunity for a new start. He hadn’t counted on having Draco Malfoy as a flatmate.
Faint Indirections by ignatiustrout (T, 30k)
Draco Malfoy is the last person Harry expects to turn up in Boston, Massachussetts. But now he's here, and he won't stop requesting books from the library where Harry works.
Ynys Afallach (I Will Give My Love An Apple) by Femme and noeon (E, 42k)
Professor Waverley Root's tutorial in the history of magical food is something of a legend at Flamel College. Draco Malfoy wants to apply it to his work in sustainable wizarding agriculture. Harry Potter's taking it for his interest in historical overlap between the magical and Muggle worlds in the West Country. When Root pairs them together, the fireworks (and the apples!) fly.
The Roommate by @romaine2424 (M, 42k)
After one year in Azkaban, and two years of home arrest, Draco is going off to college. Myrrdin College is Oxford’s magical college, where one Harry Potter is currently attending. Both are going for their teaching certificates with Draco specialising in Potions and Harry in Defence Against the Dark Arts.
Our Objective Remains Unchanged by @citrusses (E, 46k)
Harry Potter, returning member of the Oxford University Boat Club, has two goals for the spring of 2005: beat Cambridge, and beat Draco Malfoy. Perhaps not in that order.
Yours to Keep by dracoismytrashson (E, 135k)
Some people think concepts like fate and destiny are romantic, but for Harry Potter, fate has always meant one thing: a swift kick in the arse. Why else would he cross an ocean to New York and enroll in Muggle university only to find Draco Malfoy living two doors down the hall? The universe and its twisted sense of humor can fuck right off.

Tap, tap, tap.
You don’t know how long it’s been since you ran away from the group and Wooyoung followed. The two of you have just been sitting on the floor in silence, the only sound being that of his fingers tapping restlessly against the stone tiles. The cadence of it is almost musical, or like a metronome keeping time.
You can tell that he wants to speak by the way he keeps looking at you and then looking away, but he is also trying to be respectful and give you the time that you need.
The rhythm of his tapping is broken as he suddenly stops.
"Please, talk to me," he urges softly, reaching out to take your hand in his own. “What happened back there?”
“Is that really important? Shouldn’t we be trying to figure out a way to avoid becoming one of those Inkling things?”
“One thing at a time, Y/N.”
You swallow hard, unsure of how much you should share with him. You're torn between honesty and self-preservation, unable to voice the truth but equally unwilling to lie. So instead of answering, you raise your free hand and gently, very gently, run your fingers through the blue-silver strands of his hair, marveling at its softness. It’s something you have wanted to do ever since you first saw him.
He startles at first but quickly relaxes into your touch, letting his eyes flutter closed. You continue to run your fingers through his hair, the gentle motion seeming to soothe him. You can feel some of the tension leaving his body, his shoulders relaxing slightly. It's a tender moment, one that makes your heart ache with a mixture of affection and uncertainty about the future.
After a few moments of sitting in silence, you ask, “Woo, why are you guys looking for an hourglass?”
He sighs, his brow furrowing as he opens his eyes. You’re sure that he knows you’re diverting, but he lets you anyway. “You remember what I told you the night of the sand storm? About what happened between Hongjoong and I?” You nod and he continues, “Well, it has something to do with that. This hourglass is magic—it’s supposed to let you control the flow of time. He thinks we can go back to the day before he made the accusation.”
Your heart sinks. So they are looking for the Cromer. You try not to let the disappointment show on your face as you probe, “So… what? You think that going back in time will fix everything?”
“Won’t it?” Wooyoung questions, a vulnerable edge to his voice. You can tell he desperately wants to believe in this, that part of him needs to.
"Maybe." You hate the way his face falls, but you can’t give him a more definitive answer than that. Time is a difficult concept, especially when it comes to altering it.  “But do you really want to go back?”
“Of course I do!” he responds without pause. “It’s my fault that things turned out this way. If I can change it, why wouldn’t I?”
You take a deep breath, leaning your head back against the wall. You watch the balls of light flit around the ceiling beams as you attempt to collect your thoughts. Why are you trying so desperately to convince him he doesn’t want to go down this path? Is it to make your own chances of stealing the Cromer easier? Or is it something else?
"Do you really believe it's all your fault?" you finally ask. Wooyoung opens his mouth to respond but closes it again, seeming to really consider the question. “Like I’ve said before, Hongjoong knew your visions weren’t always accurate, yet he used you time and time again for his own benefit. He chose to make that accusation, knowing the risks, and then tossed you aside when things didn’t work out. He's as much to blame as you are, perhaps even more.”
"Is that what you think?" Wooyoung’s fingers tighten around your hand, the only indication that your words have affected him. You glance at him, finding his gaze fixed intently on you.
“That’s what I know. And you need to realize it too," you say emphatically, meeting his gaze with a determined one of your own. "You've been shouldering this guilt for far too long."
Wooyoung’s eyes glisten, his jaw clenched tightly as he tries to hold back the torrent of emotions threatening to break through. A single tear rolls down his cheek, tracing the contours of his face before disappearing within the folds of his shirt. He doesn't say anything, but the silence speaks volumes. Your words have made an impact.
“Hongjoong isn’t a cruel man,” he says, voice hoarse.
“I didn’t say he was. I see kindness in him. I see it in the way he cares for all of you, protects you. But power—and the stress that is often paired with it—has a way of twisting people.”
Wooyoung wipes at his eyes. "Maybe you're right. But even if you are, it doesn’t change how things ended up. It doesn’t bring back what was lost."
“What about everything you’ll lose if you do go back? What about…” You glance down at your intertwined hands, letting your sentence trail off as you swallow around the lump in your throat.
He follows your gaze, letting his fingers trace invisible patterns across your knuckles, his touch feather-light. He trails his hand upward, brushing over the pale silver of the scar on your arm, your permanent reminder of the sandwyrm encounter, and the look that crosses his face is so pained that it nearly breaks your heart.
“Us?” He finishes your sentence, the syllable so soft it is barely more than a breath escaping his lips.
His eyes are still downcast, focused on the visible reminder of the trials you've both faced. It's a complicated question and you’re grateful that he had the courage to voice it when you did not.
“We can find each other again,” he says, sounding so certain that it almost makes you believe him.
“But what if we can’t? We don’t know how the Cromer works. What if you don’t keep your memories when you go back? What if everything that happened just happens again? Or something worse?”
He stiffens, his fingers stilling on your skin, the unanswered questions hanging heavily in the air.
"I won't let that happen."
"But you can't promise that," you counter gently. "For all we know, it could change everything. I could still be indentured. Hongjoong’s punishment could become even more extreme than it was."
Wooyoung suddenly rises to his feet, pacing up and down the hall like a restless animal. The room suddenly feels too small, too confining for the magnitude of your conversation and the myriad of uncertainties that accompany it.
"I know," he finally says. He halts his pacing to lean against a bookshelf, running his fingers through his hair. "I know it’s risky. I know."
"But you still want to try?" Your voice comes out softer than intended, betraying the undertone of fear in your words.
You don’t know what the two of you are, or how you could classify your relationship with Wooyoung. What you do know is that you don’t want to lose him, or the others. For the first time since you were a child, you have a home again. You have people that care about you. Maybe that’s selfish, but you would be the first to admit you are a very selfish person.
He doesn't answer for what feels like an eternity but, finally, he pushes away from the shelf and turns to look at you. His gaze is unreadable, a stormy sea trapped under dark lashes.
“Yes. No. I don’t know.” His shoulders sag with the weight of his indecision. "All I know is that I can't bear all of the regret and guilt I feel anymore. I need to be able to do something, to fix it.”
“The past…” you pause, trying to make sure you’re being mindful of the way you say this.  “The past is like a ghost; it haunts us. We all have regrets and mistakes we wish we could erase. But we can’t let our past dictate our future. We can learn from it, we can honor it, but it is not meant to be something that holds us back.”
You think of your own past, the way you have been letting it guide you and determine your path. The memories of indentured servitude, the fear of losing your freedom again, the scars you bear... they've all shaped you, yes, but they don't have to define you.
“We need to learn how to let go.” You hope the words mean as much to him as they do to you.
“You’re right,” he admits. “I understand what you’re saying. But understanding and accepting are very different things.”
“Different,” you agree. You stand and slowly approach him, stopping only when you're close enough to touch him. You place your hand on his chest, feeling the frantic beat of his heart beneath your palm. “But not impossible.”
“Y/N…” he whispers your name like a plea, a prayer.
One of his hands comes up to cradle yours where it rests over his heart, and the other reaches out to caress your face, his fingers tracing the path of your cheek as if committing the feel of you to memory. His gaze lowers to your lips and you feel your breath hitch in anticipation. There's an unspoken question in his eyes, one that you answer by leaning into him, letting the space between you shrink until your lips are a hair's breadth away from his.
Before either of you can close the gap, a shout echoes through the halls. You and Wooyoung jump apart and, after exchanging a quick glance, both hurry towards the source of the commotion. As you round the corner, you're met with a tense standoff. Hongjoong is facing both San and Seonghwa, sparks flickering from his fingertips thanks to his barely restrained frustration.
“Woah, woah, woah,” Wooyoung says, rushing to stand in between the group. “What the hell is going on?”
“What’s ‘going on’ is that these two are cowards,” Hongjoong hisses. “After all the work we’ve put in, everything we’ve sacrificed, they think we should just give up.”
“That’s not what I’m saying,” Seonghwa interjects. “I just think we need to find another way.”
San scoffs. “Well, maybe Hwa isn’t saying that, but I am. If that makes me a coward, so be it. Hongjoong is right—we have sacrificed a lot. Y/N almost died. We’re in the middle of the most dangerous desert in the world, in some ancient library protected by some giant owl guardian that can turn into stone at will, hundreds of miles away from our homes and our loved ones. Enough is enough.”
“San has a point,” Jongho says. “The owl said we can’t take anything from the library, so even if the Cromer is here, it won’t be of any help to us. Unless we can hang out here until the next full moon.”
“Yeah, that’s not an option,” you interject. “We don't want to become Inklings, remember?”
Hongjoong’s eyes narrow. "And so that’s it? We just walk away? Leave everything we've been working for behind?"
“Everything you’ve been working for—”
Yeosang puts a hand on San’s shoulder, interrupting him. “Arguing isn’t going to get us anywhere.”
Seonghwa nods in agreement. “Joong, I understand your frustration, but we need to be smart about this. There has to be something or someone else out there that can help point us in a different direction.”
“There are no other leads,” Yunho says. “We’ve got to at least admit that. It took us months to even find out about Pandora, and then twice as long to track it down. In all that time, we would have heard about something else if it existed.”
“If our only option is to keep going or leave, I say we leave,” Mingi adds. “I have too much to lose.”
"But you're forgetting one thing," Wooyoung interjects, crossing his arms over his chest, his eyes shifting between each person before finally resting on Hongjoong. "We aren’t quitters. We don’t just give up, especially not on one of our own. We should see this through until the end."
You feel a flicker of surprise that he’s siding with Hongjoong, but when you catch the look that passes between them, the way Wooyoung visibly brightens under the leader’s approving gaze, you realize that perhaps his decision isn't as surprising as you thought.
Siding with Hongjoong and Wooyoung might be your best chance to find the Cromer yourself. If they're determined to keep searching, you can use their resources and knowledge to your advantage. Plus, staying close to them will allow you to act quickly when the opportunity arises. You try to ignore the stab of guilt the idea brings along with it.
"I'm with Wooyoung. We've come too far to turn back now," you reiterate, your voice steady in the tense silence that has fallen over the room. “I know I have. San is right—I almost died for this. Hell if I give up now.”
"We push forward," Hongjoong declares, his tone final. But the fire in his eyes dims just a little, his voice softening as he adds, “But I won’t force anyone to stay. I value everything you have all done for me and if you choose to leave now, I won’t blame you.”
His words hang in the air, heavy with the gravity of their implications. The room is silent for a long while.
Finally, Seonghwa steps forward. "I won't leave," he says, his voice firm.
San grunts, his brow furrowed in thought as he looks at Seonghwa. For a moment, it seems like he might argue, but then his gaze softens and he nods slowly. “Alright," he concedes. "I’m not happy about it. But I won’t abandon you guys, no matter what happens.”
"I second that," comes Yunho’s voice. "This may be hopeless, but we're a team."
Everyone else follows suit until all that’s left is Mingi. He sighs heavily, his gaze traveling from face to face. He finally relents with an exasperated groan. "Fine. I won't be the one accused of abandoning the mission. You guys would never let me live that down.”
The tension in the room dissipates slightly, replaced by a sense of renewed determination. Hongjoong nods, a small smile of gratitude on his face. "Alright, then. Let's get back to work. We'll cover more ground if we split up. Seonghwa and I will stay here and try to figure out a way to deal with the guardian. The rest of you should head out and try to find the Cromer.”
As the group disperses, you unsurprisingly find yourself pairing off with Wooyoung. You both head towards a section of the library you haven't explored yet, and he gestures toward a room filled with display cases.
“Let’s start here.”
You nod, heading toward the nearest case. The dust coating the glass is thick and undisturbed, a testament to how long it has been since anyone entered this room. You wipe it off with the sleeve of your robe, revealing the contents inside. Three pendants catch your eye, each etched with a distinct symbol: a crescent moon, a coiling snake, and a radiant sun. Alongside these, a tiara sparkles with precious gemstones. You imagine that this alone could have probably bought out your contract—too bad you didn’t find it before the deal you made.
Wooyoung moves to the cases across the room from you, his gaze raking over the worn items tucked neatly inside of each. An assortment of ancient scrolls, a detailed map of an unknown land, a statuette of some long-forgotten deity…
“It’s not here,” he murmurs, his voice echoing slightly in the otherwise silent room. He pauses briefly, his gaze lingering on an old scroll adorned with intricate calligraphy and faint drawings. He deviates from the mission momentarily to unfurl the fragile parchment. “Oh, Y/N, look—a waterbending scroll. It must be centuries old.”
Curiosity piqued, you abandon your own search and move to peer over his shoulder at the scroll. An array of swirling, complex lines traces out the forms for a waterbending technique you don't recognize. "Incredible," you breathe, your fingers itching to trace the ancient script.
“But it’s not what we’re looking for,” Wooyoung says, folding it carefully and placing it back into the case.
“Wait, you should try it out before we move on.”
His eyes travel from you to the scroll and back again. “We might not have time. It looks complicated, and I don’t know if I will be able to master it quickly.”
"Have a little faith in yourself," you encourage, your hand squeezing his for reassurance. “You’re an amazing waterbender.”
He brightens at your words, the corners of his eyes crinkling in a smile. He looks back down at the scroll with renewed determination and nods. “Okay, I’ll give it a try.”
He uncorks the water pouch at his hip, the liquid leaping to his call and hovering in the air before him. Carefully, Wooyoung mimics the illustrated movements, the water weaving and spinning through the air. He struggles at first, sweat beading on his brow. But as he persists, his movements become more confident and, eventually, he perfectly matches the forms on the scroll.
The water lashes out like a whip before segmenting into separate sections and condensing into spheres. With a flick of his wrist, Wooyoung sends them hurtling through the air like liquid bullets, each one shattering against the far wall with explosive force.
Wooyoung laughs. “Holy shit. That’ll come in handy during our next sandwyrm fight, huh?”
You laugh too, a mix of elation and disbelief bubbling up from your chest. Without thinking, you run over to him, throwing your arms around him in a tight embrace. The momentum of your movement spins you both around, and as you come to a stop, your eyes lock. The air between you shifts, and before you can process what's happening, he's kissing you.
His lips are soft against yours, moving with an urgency that sends shivers down your spine. You feel his hand come up to cup your cheek, his thumb brushing softly against your skin. He threads the fingers of his other hand through your hair, pulling you closer as if he can't bear any distance between you. Time seems to stand still, the rest of the world fading away into the background.
It isn’t until the room shakes slightly and the sound of stone grinding against stone reaches your ears that you and Wooyoung break apart. Your eyes dart around the room, searching for the source, when you notice a beam of sunlight hitting a particular spot on the far wall. To your amazement, a hidden door slowly creaks open, revealing a secret chamber beyond.
"Well," Wooyoung breathes, his eyes wide with surprise. "That’s not creepy at all."
“We should check it out,” you say, grabbing his hand and attempting to pull him after you.
He resists, tugging you back into his chest. “You sure you don’t want to just stay here and continue this…?”
You take in the sly curve of his smile and the twinkle in his eyes and, as much as you want to give into him, you know that if you stay here you might miss your opportunity. “We can continue this after we get out of this damn library.”
Wooyoung chuckles, his breath warm against your cheek. "Fair enough. Let's go explore this creepy secret chamber, then." He intertwines his fingers with yours, giving your hand a gentle squeeze before leading the way into the dimly lit room. As you step inside, the grinding sound of stone against stone fills your ears once more. You both turn just in time to see the hidden door slowly closing behind you, sealing you in darkness.
You sigh. “Fantastic.”

so I was writing more about my Narinders Locker Au and uh.
It got a little out of hand. so I'm splitting it into parts.
Here's the part about Lamb and crew :D
The ship the lamb sails upon was once Narinders own ship. A gigantic beast of a galleon, its hide is made entirely of cast iron. Given its weight, the ship should not float at all. and for the centuries that Narinder was imprisoned, it didn't. But with the power of the red crown, the lamb can will it to rise from the depths or return to it at will.
It is a gigantic galleon, armed with sixty cannons a side, with two cannons that point forward as well. It has 8 sails, and an extra mast to match.
It is poorly balanced on purpose. the front of the ship catches an air bubble within it, and the rear is weighted with extra iron, causing the ship to tip backwards beneath the waves. This allows the ship to rise with the nose pointed upwards at a diagonal, permitting it to pierce heretical ships from below, or to fall upon vessels that are caught beneath it.
The crew, blessed by The One Below, are able to breath seawater as easily as air, and thus the ships ambush abilities can be used to their fullest potential.
the ships name is Iron vale, but the crew (and Narinder) affectionately call it "rust bucket". The lamb is unamused. (they want their ship to be cool, dammit.)
The crew is fiercely devoted to the lamb. After all, they did save all of them from the Captains, and all of them hold personal grudges against the Captains too.
All of them are trained in combat, though only half of them really engage in any given conflict. most use whatever weapons they have on hand, although some specialize in certain weapons and have claimed custom versions from the traveling weponsmith.
The lamb themself is a foolhardy youth, empowered by the crown they seek vengeance, and Narinder has to remind them often that part of their deal was that they had to seek adventure for all the fallen who never got to see the world.
They wear the crown as a tricorn (obviously) and wield it as a cutlass (also obvious). they wear a pair of well worn and oft patched pair of pants, held up with a sash woven from their mothers wool, and the sash is embroidered with sheep and Lilly of the valley in red thread, but the embroidering is unfinished. It will never be finished.
Their fleece is a red pirate coat that leaves its sleeves flowing in the wind, tied around their neck with a golden cord and clasped with a small anchor.
The lambs wool is constantly sopping wet, and they will never dry for they are tied to the sea now. Their horns are short and dull, and their tail undocked. The wool on their face droops down over one eye, giving the appearance of an eye patch.
In their chest sits a gaping hole where their heart once sat. It was taken from them by narinder, for a gift such as the crown cannot come without sacrifice.
That heart is Narinders most treasured possession.
Their magic takes a unique form too. Instead of balls of fire and lost souls wrought with their hands as in the game, they wield blood red brine and frozen ice flung from a flintlock instead. When the lamb falls in battle, they melt into blood red briny water that slinks back into the ocean, to find the bones and rotting flesh of sunken sailors to create a new body.
After all, one cannot simply stab the sea, and expect to have killed it.
