If you were to buy and launch Magicus, your first impression would be that it’s some grindy kusoge mobile game. It would be your second and third impression, too. Maybe even your final impression as you angrily refunded it. [...]

I did find a mildly interesting plot… amidst the horrible mess of everything else. Before you open the full review, let me tell you I did not enjoy this game, even though it is clearly more of a real video game than most crap you’ll find on a smartphone, which may have made all the difference to some.

Introductory || Kokoa and Kau’i are two of the more important main characters inside The Chrysalis, and are introduced in the fifth arc, titled “The Alliance of Magicae”. Just like the title says, they are apart of the Alliance of Magicae, and are actually the leaders of it after their uncles passing. They soon become very important figures inside Wren, Atlas, and Alastair’s life, introducing them to a whole different world that the three couldn’t have even tried to imagine.

The two are twin siblings, though Kau��i was born about eight minutes prior to Kokoa. Everyone always assumes that Kokoa is older than her though, something that annoys the hell out of her.

A song that fits the two of them very well is Balloon by Tyler the Creator.

Kokoa is 6’4” while Kau’i is only 5’6”, something he mocks her for mercilessly.

They both have pink hair.

Atlas had a big FAT crush on both of them for a while. (They were his awakening no joke.)

They’re in a band called “Motion in Space”. It was a four-person band before two of the members left, but Kokoa and Kau’i kept it going. Atlas joins the band later on, when he is around 19.

Kokoa is in a homoerotic relationship with his best friend.

The two are quite literally inseparable. You can’t find one without the other, one of them always close by.

Kau’i was a scene kid, if you couldn’t tell. The “phase” never fully wore off.

Kokoa is scared of dying.

“So…” The boy leans down, now face-to-face with Wren. His eyes are dark, glinting mischievously, and with Atlas out of commission, their gun out of reach, they can’t help but feel intimidated by his presence. So close, too close. “Are you guys with Eden?”

Wren levels their jaw at him, brows furrowed in a thin line. “What’s it to you?”

The snark comes off instantaneously, pure instinct at this point. Even in near-death situations when keeping their big mouth shut would do them some much-needed good, they can’t help it. Avoiding the question, spitting back the first thing that pops in their head — that always seems to be the answer. Even if it lands them in more trouble than not.

The boy snorts. “Is that a no?”

Wren huffs, scowling. From the smirk tugging at his lips, they can tell he knew the answer from before he opened his mouth. This was simply a test, to see what they would say.

“No, I’m not with that fuckin’ crazy-ass organization.” They grunt, eyes narrowed. With the boy so close, Atlas and Alastair held hostage, they don’t attempt to reach for their gun. They can’t let the two of them get hurt. Atlas’ words of wisdom repeat in their head, ordering them to think first, take action second.

Make a plan.

“No?” The boy smiles, standing straight. He moves towards Atlas, frozen in his spot. His eyes are focused straight ahead, hand gripping the gun so tight his knuckles have gone white. His finger is just seconds away from the trigger. A mere moment faster, and he would’ve had them. “Because your friend over here is definitely an Eden soldier.”

He pushes the gun down, forcing Atlas’ arm to aim at the ground instead. The Eden symbol tattooed on his hand is now clearer than ever, flashing up for the both of them to see. The boy glances over his shoulder at Wren, curious, as if to see their reaction.

Wren’s frown deepens. “He’s not.” They snap. They hate this interrogation, hate their helplessness. They’ve become too dependent on Atlas. Without his calm reassurances and level-headedness in their ear, they feel lost again. And the boy isn’t helping, standing so casually, smiling as if they’re old-time friends.

What is he playing at?

“He sure fights like one.” The boy muses. “Almost put a bullet through my sister’s head, the little rascal.”

“I said he’s not.” Wren takes an unsteady step back. They just need to stall. Stall the boy, figure out what he’s here for. Figure out if these two are dangerous or not, and how to get out of here, if so.

The boy hums, examining Atlas’ face. It’s pulled tight, eyes squinting just barely, an expression of pure concentration. A look Wren has seen too many times to count, a look Atlas always gets when they’re in trouble. Only this time, he isn’t conscious enough to protect them.

“Who— who are you?” They blurt, eyes beginning to glow. They don’t like this one bit. They need to get out of here. Fast. “What the hell do you want?”

“The name’s Kokoa,” the boy answers calmly, turning to face them again. “And I have a proposition for you.”

Wren spent the first part of their childhood bouncing from home to home in the foster care system.

They were never kind, always rude and untrusting. They were stubborn and determined not to form any sort of bond with any of their foster families.

They were a problem child to say the least. Uncooperative and independent.

They were difficult to get through to and even harder to be patient with. Whether they had no friends because they were like this or they were like this because they had no friends is difficult to assess. No family kept them around for long. That is, not until they were adopted by Maja and Pietro Anderson.

Life with loving parents brought out Wren's nicer qualities. Maja and Pietro discovered that their child was not only incredibly observant and artistic, but also that they had a sort of quiet ambition that they carried with them.

However, despite living in a healthy environment, school still proved difficult. Wren was never easy to motivate in subjects that they did not enjoy and their ability to befriend others was still severely lacking. To others they were an unmotivated, bratty, vulgar, weird kid.

And yet, at home, their parents saw Wren for the bright, witty, sweet little child that they were.

Wren is a middle school dropout that has been living in their van for almost a year now. They discovered they were a Magicus at twelve-years-old, and about a year later began to hear underground rumours about two mysterious Magicae organizations, Eden and The Congregation of the Chosen. The stories were unlike anything they had ever heard before (and frankly, horrific) so they left home, determined to bring to light the truth about what Eden and The Congregation are doing to Magicae — and have been doing, for several centuries now — and put an end to it.

Wren was never a terribly physically active child so they're on the lankier side but they have toned up a bit as they've gotten older due to hiking and such with Pietro.

They have choppy navy blue wolfcut with black roots that they cut themselves. After seeing the results, Maja insisted she help with the dying process. They have slightly rounded, upturned, hazel eyes with flecks of gray in them and pale skin. They have few freckles on their nose and a lip piercing that they did without Pietro and Maja's permission.

Aesthetic || Wren has gone through plenty of clothing phases. They tried to be emo and then sleek and clean and those were both an awkward disaster. What they've most often gravitated towards are big jackets, baggy pants, lots of graphic t-shirts and random accessories. They essentially dress like Sonic the Hedgehog.

Wren ran away in the dead of night when they were 13 years old. They took one of their father's credit cards and his van and has not been seen since. They've been on the run for about a year. They left home just shortly before their birthday.

Wren has no recollection of either of their biological parents. They both went missing a week apart from each other when Wren was still an infant.

For the first week living with their adoptive parents, Wren did not accept a single dish Maja or Pietro made. They insisted that they could do things themself and would make Maja and Pietro sit at the table and not help at all while they prepared meals for themself. Not a single meal they made could be considered edible.

After getting their lip piercing, Wren tried to do multiple other piercings by themself. Maja caught them every time except once. That one time, Wren ended up with a gaping wound on their nose that Pietro had to tend to.

Wren went through a phase where they would push everything in their room aside to make room and try to learn k-pop dances in the middle of the night. Pietro would usually wake up and go in to fuss at them and tell them to go to sleep but end up sitting on their bed while they did performances for him.

okay in all seriousness, i joined this server last week and it’s the most fun i’ve had on Minecraft ever.

the mod pack provided for this server is… AMAZING?? it’s got the crunchiest sound effects, a corner map WOO LETS GO, a whole bunch of new mobs, new items,

and best of all a bunch of custom armors and weapons that the creator of the server has been so lovingly working on. (also also new recipes like BIG BURGER).

ALSO the world is BEAUTIFUL!!!! there’s a whole ton of custom stuff like custom trees and all sorts of cool stuff you to find when you explore. very very cool!!

the server is VERY LORE focused and NOT PVP focused, if you wanna join and fight people… no.

if you wanna join and make friends and have a fun time… yes! also i’m there so like, BONUS!

there’s a couple teams you can join right off the bat, (or join none of you want lol), and the server is very focused on working with your team.

There is VC but you don’t have to use it if you don’t want (anxious like me LMAO)
