Sonic wasn’t a stranger to off days. In fact, he had them a lot more often than most people realized, he was just really good at hiding them.

Maybe a little too good.

This day, however, was particularly bad.

He wasn’t sure why. He pretty much just woke up in a grassy field feeling like, well, shit and it felt a little more challenging to simply push down like he usually did. Even after a quick call with Tails — something that usually cheered him up almost immediately — he still felt like he wanted to disappear off the face of Mobius, never to fight in another battle or have the pressure of saving the world ever again.

He’d never admit it because he genuinely loves doing what he does, but it gets to him sometimes. He’s only fifteen years old, when did it become his responsibility for all this crap.

Sometimes he did wish he had a more simple life. Just him, his little brother, and his close friends living out their teenage (and little kid) years like normal Mobians.

However, the adrenaline junkie in him quickly kicks that idea in the ass. He didn’t think he could ever live without all the death defying stunts and risks that came with his current lifestyle. It just wouldn’t be as fun. Plus, doing what he does is the reason he has most of his friends in the first place.

He wouldn’t trade this current life for anything in the world, but it can still drag him down sometimes.

He closed his eyes and felt a gentle breeze surround him and dance among the blades of grass. The leaves of nearby trees rustling and flickies chirping were like distant symphonies as the sun’s warmth engulfed him.

He stayed like that for around thirty minutes, just basking in all that nature had to offer him this morning. Quiet moments like these were part of what kept him fighting. As long as Eggman was dead set on destroying areas like these, Sonic would be there to stop him.

After what felt like an eternity to the hedgehog, he got up and stretched. He looked around him, picked a random location, and took off running, hoping to leave his thoughts behind.

He ran for hours, occasionally stopping to check out a view or quickly help someone. But it didn’t matter how fast or how far he went, the thoughts always caught up to him.

Past failures, little comments made by the media that affected him a little more than they probably should, guilt he had stored up from past life choices, etc.

But nothing haunted him more than those dreaded six months.

Months of isolation. Not knowing if his friends were ok, if his baby brother was ok, The torture, the anxiety, the shackles. The illusions of his loved ones dying before his eyes over and over again and being mocked or yelled at by them.

The depression and nightmares that followed were almost too much for him to bear and he probably would’ve lost it if his overwhelming sense of guilt didn’t push him to stick around and help.

His friends weren’t mad at him for not helping them for most of the war. In fact, it almost felt like they were babying him in a way. Constantly asking he was okay and making sure he was comfortable whenever they had downtime. Even Tails was seemingly walking on eggshells around him which definitely made him feel some kind of way.

When the war finally ended, he disappeared for about two months. It was all too overwhelming.

He knew it was a selfish move, but Chaos forbid he makes one decision that solely benefits himself after that whole mess. He just needed to be alone and run off those six months.

No one was mad at him when he finally reappeared, the closest thing would be how worried Tails was.

He always did worry too much.

Everything slowly went back to normal. The war slowly became a thing of the past, just another victory over Dr Eggman.

So why was Sonic still so hung up over it?

A noise from his stomach stopped his thoughts dead in their tracks. He slowed to a stop somewhere on the shoreline and checked his communicator for the time. How was it already lunch time? Did he really spend that much time thinking about all that crap?

He sped off in the direction of the Mystic Ruins. Being around his brother always managed to make him feel at least a little better. Maybe it would be more effective than just simply calling him.

He stopped at the front door of the house and punched in the code.

It was quiet. There were no noises coming from the workshop downstairs. Was the kit even home? It would suck if he wasn’t, what would be the point of Sonic showing up if his little brother wasn’t even here. Where did he go?

A certain smell overrode all his thoughts as he walked into the kitchen. Sitting on the counter was a plate of chili dogs that were still warm (he could just tell).

He smiled. Tails was definitely home.

Right on cue, he heard the workshop door open and a certain two-tailed fox walked into the kitchen. The weight on Sonic’s chest became lighter as the two talked about whatever came to mind with Tails even suggesting a movie night later on.

Fondness grasped at his heart, giving it a tight squeeze. Somehow, Tails once again knew he was having a bad day just from a brief interaction hours earlier. He never once asked what was wrong or made the hedgehog to talk about his feelings, he just did little things like make him food and offer to spend time together doing pointless things and goofing around. He even said he was just working on blueprints today which Sonic knew was just in case he didn’t feel like talking or just wanted to be alone.

Sonic didn’t know what he’d do without this kid. He really did have the best little brother a hedgehog could ask for.

How do you think Shadow's relationship with his descendant is? Do they all know him or are some unaware of their relation to him? I imagine futher down the line Shadow would have a lot of great grand children it would be kind of difficult to keep track to all of them and dedicate bonding time to all of them. On the other side it could be a good thing so he keeps himself busy and less lonely but it could also be kind of overwhelming

I see it the same way. I imagine he’d cling pretty closely at first, but he’s not naturally a sociable guy. In the beginning, I think he’d cherish his descendants, consistently keeping in touch and making sure each generation preserved the traditions he and Amy started together.

It would get harder with each passing generation, though. Keeping up with more and more descendants would be exhausting, especially for someone like him, and it would only get worse as they gradually had less and less in common with him.

But what would really break him, I think, is seeing the last of Amy’s traits disappear.

It would start with her green eyes. Green eyes are a recessive trait in humans, so they might be for Mobians, too. Dark hair is dominant over lighter hair, too, so his black fur could override her pink. Maybe a few hedgehogs with her eyes or fur could pop up here and there down the line, but it would get rarer with each generation. Her latent psychic powers would get obscured, too. They might show themselves occasionally in different forms, but not exactly like hers. On top of that, the spark she had would be watered down until her passion disappeared from their family tree, taking away what he’d loved most about her.

By that point, he would’ve lost all of his loved ones, too, save for Omega. Exhausted from keeping track and distraught over losing the last remnants of who Amy was, I imagine he’d withdraw.

Then, hundreds of years after the present time, he reunites with one last person from the life he knew: a naive, dedicated, silver hedgehog. For reasons Shadow can’t place, spending time with Silver feels like coming home again. Silver has Shadow’s fluffy chest fur, Chaos Control, and determination, but he also reminds Shadow of Amy. Silver’s smile, compassion, and boundless optimism match hers perfectly, and his psychic powers, while not exactly like hers, somehow give off the same aura, one Shadow hasn’t felt in a very long time. Silver’s personality seems to borrow from theirs, blending Shadow’s bluntness and social awkwardness in serious situations with Amy’s friendly, open demeanor in more peaceful times.

It’s impossible to ignore. Shadow chalks it up to the two of them rubbing off on Silver during his trips to the past. With centuries of breathing room, it’s easy to forget Silver was always like that, even when they’d just met. It goes over Silver’s head, too.

Omega’s photographic memory knows better.

When Silver visits one day, Omega stealthily plucks a spare quill from each of the hedgehogs’ heads. One quick DNA test later, his suspicions are confirmed. The connection had lessened over all that time, but it’s still there.

Omega watches from across the room as Silver rants excitedly about something, happy to have the company. Shadow nods along, looking more content than he has in over a century. Omega thinks of his findings...and keeps quiet.

As much as he knows they would cherish the knowledge for now, he can’t bear the thought of Shadow knowing and losing it all over again.

Fanfic ask game 😭😜🏅☀️

Thank you for the ask! 😭 Have you ever made yourself cry writing a fic? Yes, actually. It was when I was younger and still writing Sonic fan fiction, however. I'm not proud of all my old writing but I still thank it for where it brought me to today so I'm fine talking about it. I really liked Scourge the Hedgehog when I was younger (evil green Sonic from Archie, not the one from IDW) and I actually hadn't read the comic about how he got the 2 scars on his chest so I thought it didn't have an origin like a fool. XD So I was going to write a whole story of how he got them and it was called Behind the Scars. It was also to explain why he hated Sonic so much. It was basically giving him siblings like the Sonic from Sonic Underground (my favorite Sonic show at the time) and it was a very sad, depressing origin story. It made me cry writing chapter 2 when his mom died because I was a very depressed kid and I decided to write this very depressing fic which I immediately regretted so I never continued. It's honestly a bit of a sore spot for me and even though I got a positive reception and desperately wanted to force myself to continue for that... I'm glad I didn't. That got a bit depressing. I'm sorry. XD I'm not really proud of the story anymore so I won't be linking it but if anyone is curious about it, my fanfictionnet account is Twin-books, though I hardly post there anymore. The site really is pretty much dead. XD TW: Mentions of death, hints at self-hatred and possible self-harm. Please do not attempt to find or read it if this makes you uncomfortable as it does me now. 😜 Describe a current WIP without using character names. (Points if your followers guess who the fic is for.) Oh boy, here we go... um... Local superhero refuses to ask for help or change things to fit them in their new role. Purely based on the past. This leads to the overwhelming catastrophe of their partner losing their identity in order to protect them and the consequences that follow as the few who know their secret rush to help. Hope that's good. XD Somehow I feel it is still obvious what it is. 🏅 What is the fic you’re most proud of? Um... wow... that's a bit hard. But I think I know. Here, I'll link it because I'm actually proud of it. Just an Umbrella. It's still not perfect, mind you... but this one makes me happy to read almost every time. And I think it's a good thing to be able to read your work over and over again without cringing. XD It's a Miraculous Ladybug oneshot based on @edorazzi's Mentor AU. I highly recommend checking her work out but the thing you need to know to understand the fic; The mentor AU is the idea of the PV versions of Marinette and Adrien (Bridgette and Felix) were originally ladybug and cat miraculous holders before they grew up and gave them back to Master Fu. They soon become mentors to Chat Noir and then later, Ladybug (after Master Fu basically leaves). My oneshot is written before season 4 so it's a tad dated but it was wonderful to write from Marinette's perspective for once and it actually made me very excited to write more stories from her POV (since I had mostly kept myself locked in a bubble of Adrien with some Felix, Chloe, and Bridgette on the side). The story was actually inspired by a conversation I had in the PV server with edorazzi and a few other friends where he came up with the funny idea that Bridgette would just collect umbrellas. I had previously written a fic for edorazzi's Mentor AU before but that was for Felix and Adrien and that was back before Marinette even got a mentor herself because we all previously thought Fu would remain her mentor. I had been wanting to write something about her newest addition of Bridgette being Ladybug's mentor. I really enjoyed it. It's completely fun and wholesome. ^^ But what is the story truly about? It's a story about giving up an umbrella. It's just an umbrella after all. : )

☀️ Has anyone ever left you a comment that made your day? What did it say? Hm... it's been a while I'll need to think. I can think of 2 that really made my day. First, edorazzi's comment on my fic was amazing. If you don't know, she does amazing, hilarious liveblogs on miraculous in the PV server. For the Felix episodes she always does them on her Tumblr. (I highly recommend them, they're hilarious). She doesn't liveblog every episode but it's always a pleasure to see whatever she liveblogs next.

I mention this because she made a liveblog for Just an Umbrella and I was completely surprised. I would share it but that would be spoilers. ;P But it was just as funny and as fun as her episode liveblogs. And she was super nice. I was so shocked and it truly did make my day. Second... okay, this one may make me cry. I haven't heard from them in years but I had a friend that went by the username Thunder Croft on fanfictionnet. They had a completely unique style to how they wrote their mystery fics. I adored those. I would leave them absurdly long comments just live reacting to everything. And when I say long...

I mean long. So long I couldn't even take an entire screenshot of the comment. The reason why it has sections of "1967", "1994", and "2013" was simply because of that aforementioned unique way of writing a mystery they had. The entire story was spread out between 3 stories in entirely different time periods that all connected into one big mystery and the goal was to try and connect every clue from the different eras to solve the mystery. They also left little riddles and stuff like that to even figure out. They were a Sonic fanfiction writer and they had written a previous story like it that was actually finished (this one sadly hasn't been) called Timelock House. The story this comment is referring to is called The Children of Lilliwell. I could not recommend these fanfics more, purely for their unique experience. But enough about that, I'm getting a tad off-topic. I'm very good at that. The reason I bring this up is because of the fact I left such long comments they always told me it made their day and we started becoming friends. So when I wrote my fic Behind the Scars (heh, it all circles back), a story I was very proud of at them time, they left wonderful comments on it that I still treasure despite I don't care for that story anymore.

Not only were they my friend but they were a writer I very much respected and I still respect. If I read their writing now it may seem a tad dated but I think I would still love that unique style they had. I'm sure there are others that have had a similar style but theirs was the first and only time I encountered it so it was very special to me. I cannot thank Thunder Croft enough for helping shape me as the writer I am now. I hope they are doing wonderful now and are still writing. They have a gift and I would hate to see them give up on it. But, of course, I was never mad when they stopped producing chapters for The Children of Lilliwell. Or when they stopped talking to me. Life happens, kids grow up, people move on... It's a bit disappointing but the facts of life. The important thing is to treasure what I got and I got to know an awesome writer and become their friend for a decent few years or so and that... that's what matters. Well first of all I love when characters have a dark side that they can hardly control, and especially meliodas because his dark side isn’t your typical kind, it’s not like it’s another personality within him, rather it’s the part of him that he tries to suppress, and did succeed until his emotions were stolen. But despite this ominous dark side he’s very sweet and gentle as we see with Elizabeth, and that just takes the cake.

Guess what I did last week? I bought socks with HEDGEHOGS ROASTING MARSHMALLOWS on them AND socks of PENGUINS SKIING. HOW AMAZING IS THAT!!!     

Anyway, well that's the last time I tell anyone anything about animal anons plans, otherwise they will be spoiled and ruined by my friends! Oh well, it's all in good fun (and also forced me to keep my commitment of posting tonight despite being depressed that Jurgen got sent home...#gbbospoilers)!

Well as many people have predicted correctly, I passed the Bar! Hallelujah! I was sworn in as an attorney this week so I am officially an esq! I also am scheduled to received my dolly booster shot next week and earlier this month I started a new (not 80 hours a week) job! So I have had a fabulous month and have many things to be thankful for including my epic sock purchase! Which is perfect timing for the holiday ahead! So I wanna know what you are thankful for this year? I know it's been a tough year for so many so it can be as small or as large as you can think!

nobody asked but here are my personal top five pat gill videos | a 2.1k word long post where i rank and review pat gill’s videos for just way too long.

Right around the tail end of April, 2020, I fell into the rabbit hole of my current obsession; Polygon Dot Com Video Content. As a consequence of this was being introduced to the phenomenon of Pat Gill. A dire consequence of that consequence was me slowly, deeply, irrevocably, finding myself attracted to this marionette of a man. So, I enjoy his content and I think he’s hot and that combined with the fact that some of my friends bully me over that latter fact has inspired me to do this: rank my personal favorite Pat Gill videos in a post that’s entirely too long.

Before I get straight into the rankings, I need to explain my process. 

First, I needed to narrow my scope. Polygon has a lot of videos. Polygon has a lot of videos with Pat Gill in them. If I didn’t narrow my scope, I would either go bonkers yonkers or have a list that would be kilometric in length and thus miss the entire point of ranking altogether. So, for my sanity, I am excluding any videos that are a part of a Polygon video series. This means no Overboard, no Gill and Gilbert, no Video Game Theatre, etc. If I included these, I would cry. I do not want to cry over Polygon Dot Com Video Producer Pat Gill.

Second, I need a criteria. If I just ranked videos with no system, I would find myself endlessly rearranging my list based on whatever thought comes out on top in my mind at the given moment. I am a disorganized person, so I need rules. I have decided that I will rank Pat Gill videos using the EEEH criteria. 

Entertainment. Do I smile, watching the video? Do I chortle? Am I filled with the embarrassing urge to show this video to my sister and derive glee from her laughing at the exact same moment I laughed? Entertainment is key.

Education. Did I come out of this video knowing something I originally did not know? More importantly, was I engaged in the learning process? I come from a family of teachers, so I have high standards when it comes to education. If I am to learn, I must learn well.

Exaltation. This is a bit of an oddball criteria, but it is important to me. The word “exalted” is defined as “elevated in rank, character, or status.” This criteria refers to how good it is at exalting, elevating, pulling me out of a depressive episode. That is to say I’ve been in a depressive episode for the past month and whether or not the video made me stop crying and brush my teeth is essential. Polygon video content has been integral to my serotonin production lately, and thus the video’s ability of acting as an audiovisual antidepressant for me factors into the rankings.

[BONUS POINTS] Hotness. How Hot Is Pat Gill In It? I felt bad, morally, ranking videos based on how good looking I thought Pat Gill was in it---because beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and all that, and people don’t exist to be beautiful, they just are, and I agree---so I’m relegating this criteria as a bonus point. Standard is 0, because he’s always hot in my mind, but he gets plus points if he is exemplary in the hotness department.

The maximum score for each of these criteria is 5 points, making the perfect score a 15, but because of the bonus points, a 20 is, hypothetically, possible. 

With that out of the way, let me dive right into it. 

5. The fastest interview ever with Ben Schwartz from Sonic the Hedgehog

Entertainment: 5 Education: 2 Exaltation: 2 Hotness: +2 Total Score: 11

Pat Gill is a good interviewer, he’s engaging and fun and keeps the interview interesting, but this interview is particularly special because it seems that, and let me quote Youtube user AudreyN who left a comment on this video stating “ben schwartz consumed all seven chaos emeralds prior to this interview.” Pat Gill and Ben Schwartz’s dynamic is amazing, and by “dynamic” I do mean “Ben Schwartz absolutely just fucking dunking on Pat Gill for 14 entire minutes.” and it is glorious.

For Entertainment this scores a solid 5. Quite honestly the funniest interview I’ve ever watched in my entire life. Just the sheer beauty in the exchange [Pat] “You would use Sonic’s power to gaslight me?” [Ben] “Just you.” In terms of Education, I guess I did learn a bunch of things about the Sonic movie that I didn’t know before, but the avenue by which it was portrayed in was not exactly the most engaging, more like I was absorbing it via watching two experts discuss on a webinar. I would have given just 1 point to Education but I made it 2 because of the wonderful knowledge that Pat Gill can draw a pretty good Sonic in a few seconds. When it comes to Exaltation, I must admit that while this video got quite a few laughs out of me, it didn’t make me want to get out of bed and take a shower. 

BONUS: Pat is +2 hot in it. His short hair makes him look very handsome. He’s a spiffy boy, in this video. Very, very good.  

4. Pat Will Not Tweet at Nintendo This Week Because He is Resting at Home — PLEASE RETWEET, Episode 12 

Entertainment: 5 Education: 0 Exaltation: 5 Hotness: +1 Total Score: 11

I know I’m breaking a rule I set for myself a few paragraphs earlier by including an episode of Please Retweet, which counts as a video series, but this is my post and I can do whatever I want. More importantly, this video is so fucking funny to me, it feels like it would be a crime not to put it in this list. 

Solid 5 out of 5 for entertainment. Pat Gill, alone in his apartment, drinking six cans of what I think is beer silently while the intro music plays. That scene in itself should win an Oscar. Sadly, a solid 0 for Education, because I learn nothing in this video except for the fact that Pat Gill is the type of person to put out a coaster and then just completely not use it. I quantify things as educational if I can maybe answer a trivia question with them, and unfortunately, this fact does not pass that test. In terms of Exaltation, seeing Pat Gill lie down on the floor next to his cat made me get out of bed to do the same with my dog, and with myself thusly out of my bed cocoon of sadness, I was able to actually complete tasks on the day I watched this video. Perfect 5.

BONUS: Pat is +1 hot in this because there’s something very beautiful about him being a little bit miserable. However, I do miss his beard when I watch this video. It is one of my favorite things about him, and it is not present here.

3. Pat and Simone Play Human: Fall Flat

Entertainment: 5 Education: 1 Exaltation: 5 Hotness: 0 Total Score: 11

I very much enjoy Polygon’s gameplay streams. I often play them in the background while I’m doing other stuff like doodling or origami, but this stream is special. It is special because of the moment at 24:00 when Pat Gill, in game, swings a stereo into a glass window, shattering it, while saying, “Actually, y’know what? Let’s talk about trauma.” and then proceeds to tell a horrible and embarrassing story from his childhood where he had to do a rap about Ancient Egypt. 

5 points for Entertainment. This is partly because of Pat’s tragic childhood story about the Egypt Rap (and, segue just to point out 33:22 the incredible moment where you can hear Pat’s feral panic when Simone finds the lyrics to the Egypt Rap) but also because Pat and Simone just talking to each other is so deeply entertaining to me in a very comfy way. I’m starved for human interaction, in this quarantime, okay. Let me enjoy listening to other people have conversations while playing video games. Education scores a 1 because, again, nothing in this video will let me answer a trivia question, however it does get 1 point and not a 0 because the Egypt Rap’s lyrics are in the comments and I did end up learning stuff about Ancient Egypt that I didn’t know. A perfect 5 for Exaltation because this video showed me that talking about trauma can actually be cathartic, given that you’re trashing a video game living room at the same time, and I think that message of not bottling up your experiences really helped me, in these trying times.

Ah yes, one of Pat’s “x is y because of z” videos. He’s made a number of these and they’re all very good but this one is my favorite among them and earns a spot on this list because 1) I think puppets are cool and 2) I fucking love monsters. 

This video scores a 4 on Entertainment, just shy of perfect, because as funny as it is, it also gives me the vibe like I am being lectured by a professor who’s just a little bit off the shits. And we all know that lectures are supposed to be taken seriously. Which brings us to Education, which also scores a 4. I learned a lot in this video! Watching Pat Gill explain to me that children’s puppets and these horrifying viddy game monsters use the same character principles in different ways is not only very educational but is also explained in a streamline and easy to understand manner that I WISH some of the shitty professors at my old university could emulate. As for Exaltation, while this video did give me enough energy to have a meal, I did eventually end up back in bed for the night at 8pm crying myself to sleep, thinking “I’m like the slime scholar. Used to be a scholar. Now they’re slime.” 

BONUS: Pat Gill is +2 hot here. He’s rockin that basic ass monochromatic aesthetic and I love his look dearly.

Here we are. My favorite non video series Pat Gill video. The video where Pat Gill tries to make Red Dead Redemption 2 protagonist, Arthur Morgan, large. 

Perfect fucking 5 for Entertainment, which I’m sure many may find odd. Afterall, this video is told in a serious investigative tone reminiscent of Vox’s videos on current issues. But that’s the glory of it. The complete and utter ‘playing it straight and serious’ for a ridiculous issue in a video game. It is high tier comedy in a subtle, understated way that sings to my comedy loving heart in a melody so lovely, so wonderful, that it urged me to give this video 5 points for Entertainment. It scores 3 on Education, because I have never played Red Dead Redemption 2, nor will I ever, but now I know things about it. The information was also relayed to me in a very interesting style, via something like a crime procedural, and thus it was engaging for me to absorb all this new knowledge. Exaltation scores a perfect 5 because of this video’s beautiful end about existential smallness. No joke, but hearing Pat Gill say “Our bigness isn’t measured in pounds, but in the impact we have on the people with whom we shared the world.” deadass made me want to talk to my friends again after conversationally isolating myself for 3 days. Preparing for Big Boy Season has a special place in my heart. And there it will stay.

Outlander - season 1 is, to this day, one of the most romantic things I’ve ever seen in my life, it’s the cinnamontography, the score, the period costumes, the sexy Scotsman in kilts, just the right amount of action, it manages to be relaxing and make me squee into my pillow all at the same time. If you like period dramas (as I am a hoe for), hIGHLY RECOMMEND

6. The Great British Baking Show - had to add this one because when I was going through a really tough time in school and with my depression I watched 5 seasons of this and cried over every single winner and how much they deserved it LMAO Soothing British voices, cute nature scenes, plunky music, delicious baked goods, the friendships we’ve made along the way, it’s got it all mah dudes

I love how they team up with Fuwa for this. Through the power of their imaginations they upgrade their outfits and launch a giant crystal star at the enemy filled with embodiments of all the horoscope signs.

11. All For You!

Every single Precure lends their power, and even a bunch of side characters I thought we’d never see again. Michiru and Kaoru! Cure Mofurun and Pekorin! Royal Candy! Empowered Julio! Wester, Soular, Otokichi, Regina, even Yui! And Bibury being her tsundere self. Also, Cure Echo’s first ever original television appearance! (however brief) FUN FACT: they forgot Parfait in this shot where everyone flies past

10. Sweets Wonderful a la Mode

They build a giant cake around the baddie and then blow it up. It’s goofy and I love it.

9. Grand Printemps

They summon a giant castle, transform into these crazy elaborate dresses with magic floating bows the size of a person behind them, then fly into the air and divebomb the monster! It’s so over-the-top and glorious.

8. Innocent Purification

What do I even need to say? The song is an earworm. The fact that it’s an attack almost seems secondary.

7. Royal Lovely Straight Flush

My favorite thing about this is that their super form is just angel wings. Every other show since Fresh gives them a complete outfit change for a final form, but Dokidoki says wings are good enough.

6. Royal Rainbow Burst

Three words: Beauty the Hedgehog. If you hadn’t made the connection before, I’m glad to be the one to permanently make that association in your mind. Anyway I love the outlandish designs of the Princess dresses and how they get a bunch of Pegasi AND a phoenix to fly through the enemy.

5. Suite Session Ensemble Crescendo Finale

That’s a mouthful. I like that Crescendo Tone just keeps getting bigger, and bigger, and bigger.... this is truly a final attack to end all final attacks. Plus the Crescendo forms are neat.

4. Heartcatch Orchestra

The Super Silhouette forms are clearly Umakoshi (character designer/head animator) having too much fun, he loves pointy clothes and hair. And then their attack is to summon a giant woman to punch the villain into smithereens. Top tier.

3. Five Explosion

I love how this giant butterfly baton just beams the girls up like a UFO before they fly straight through the monsters. This was game-changing for Precure finishers.

2. Spiral Heart Splash Star

The combined final attack between Bloom, Egret, Michiru, and Kaoru that we always deserved is truly grand. The four girls and four fairies all combine their powers to defeat an ancient evil in a fight to end all fights. I couldn’t pick anything else.

1. Extreme Luminario Max

Yes, this tops the list because of how heartfelt it is. You think it’s going to be Hikari’s final stand as she has given herself up to restore the Queen, and all three girls are choking back tears as they unleash their final, most powerful Extreme Luminario with the strength of the Queen behind them. Even if Hikari was seen again less than 5 minutes after this, for a moment you truly thought she was gone, and what a way to go it would have been.

I know, I know, it’s over a month past Christmas at this point. The twelve days turned into 35 days. The Christmas decorations are all packed away, the trees have been dropped off to be turned into mulch, and everyone moved on. I didn’t intend for this to take so long, and I’m sorry this is coming out so late. I’ll plan my 2020 Christmas special in advance (I’ve literally set notes for myself right after Thanksgiving lol). Basically what happened is that everything in my life decided to go wrong at once, and I got depressed. Not a day went by when I didn’t think about writing this up, but for one reason or another I couldn’t motivate myself to sit down and do the work until now. I had it in my head that it would be A LOT OF WORK so I put it off until I had time. Then when I finally got to it, it was easier than I thought, because I was overthinking it.

Thank you all for sticking with me for as long as you have, and thank you to my new followers that this sub-project has garnered. With this out of the way, proper Precure Daily reviews shall continue! After all, Yes 5 isn’t going to write about itself!

How kids ruin the internet

(This could get kinda long soo yee :’3)

It didn’t get past me that Sonic93, the famous/infamous ranter who did videos with Amy-Chan calling out DA peepz, got themselves in a huge drama of their own. Little Fun Fact: I actually wtched all of those vids and even liked them alot back in the day. Back then they were interesting, entertaining and I even started to stalk out Jane’s, previously known as Akai, Ink Bunny page to see what she would be up to.

But I always had a weird feeling in the back of my mind; I mean, alot of the things Sonic93, Amy-Chan and many more on YouTube said about Jane were ... weird to me.

For example, the thing about Sonic being not in character is confusing to me. People pointed out he’s not acting like the Sonic from the games ... so? Neither is my Sonic, he never really did back then, nor does he now and that’s totally fine. Everybody has their own Universe, if they like it or not, some things are different, even if you ‘stay in the canon’.

Or the fact that her own Sonic OC, formerly called Akai Dalia, looked like Amy. Bruh ... do you need glasses? Want mine? Cuz I can see the similarities, Akai is a female hedgehog with a magenta fur and green eyes... aaand that’s it.

I’m not really going much more into this, since that’s not the point of this here post. What I AM focusing  on is the aftermath about all that.

This is speculation, so don’t take these things as fact, but due to the rants on the following people, their lives changed very bad.

Jane changing her own character, left DA, before returning and having a huge warning that says that she won’t allow the name ‘Akai Dalia’ to be used on her.

Then there is Brandon, or YoshiWii1 for those who remember. After the rants he pretty much left the internet as a whole and had to deal with his mental health. Bruh, this dude can’t look at anything Sonic related anymore and that’s just sad.

Amy-Chan herself had to deal with Sonic93′s abusive relationship with her.

And Sonic93 has dug her own grave and refuses to think or learn about her mistakes. Her obsession for a fictional character is going to be her downfall, espacially if she lashes out on people because of her love for said character

In any case though, this really felt close to home actually. If anybody remembers my breakdown on DA about the Purple Man drama-situation-thingy.

tl;dr a very popular artist left the FNAF community because their version of the Purple Man got so popular and glorified that people started sending creepy and sexual messages towards their character,.

This though got even bigger and more horrible when people started to harrass other artists about their version of the PM. Mind you, alot of people really liked that version, which was a simple design considering that it hardly was any different than the sprites we see in the games, and started using it.

I was one of these artists. Now, I didn’t get harrassed exactly, though I wasn’t allowed to upload my own PM art to the biggest FNAF group on DA and got a couple of comments saying that Vincent ain’t canon or whatever. There was also that one time when someone grabbed a crossover AU thing, featuring Vincent as a skeleton from Undertale and putting it into a Reddit that’s all about making fun of ‘cringy’ stuff ... I can distinctly recall someone saying something along the lines of ‘ Why must failed abortions ruin the things I love?’ (I seriously looked up the post I made back then on DA and it’s still there, yay~, though now the Reddit seems to have called their tits and do some nice (???) stuff idk o3o)

At that time of all the PM stuff I was severly depressive, because of my own IRL reasons, so this ... this was heavy on me. Being scared to be called out, cancled for having a Purple Man,

I admit whole heartedly here; my Purple Man was based on that popular PM. I didn’t get around him afterall either, so inspiration was a requirement pretty much. I took the aspects of long, tied up purple hair and the name from that PM and of course alot of inspiration got to Vinnie’s Ghost design. But that’s it, after I made Vinc, I concentrated myself on my own FNAF AU, so I don’t even know what all happened in the fandom.

But I do see alot of people in fandoms going up to others and try to cancle them, say how much their wrong, without thinking or talking it out. Nobody, and I say NOBODY talked it out with me back in the day. The Admins of the DA group said to me that if I wanted my PM art on there, I had to change Vincent’s design. That’s it, no talking, no figuring out anything. It hurt that artist that people were creepy to this specific character and the rest, the innocents that are merely associated get to suffer for it.

Just back in June 2018 I got someone who argued with me about ‘Vincent’ being a nickname for William Afton, because they were very adamant that William is confirmed canon. I admit, I was really nervious talking to them and probably got really defensive too, but I  tried to explain to them that I’m an old fan and about AUs being a thing, but no, no resolution sadly.

And all of these things come down to this: Kids are stupid.

I’m positive that most of these people were and are kids. Kids who didn’t and still don’t know any better. Kids who follow their favorite creator without question, who don’t want to be part of the problem so they side with spreading the drama, kids who don’t understand that having canon characters act or look different is OKAY, kids who don’t know about AUs, kids who weren’t there, back some years ago when the community and fandom started.

So ... all my ramblings aside, I think this is unacceptable. Not trying to be understanding, being adamant, agressive and refusing to open their mind is killing fandoms and is one of the reasons any kind of fandom is toxic af.

After everything that has happened to me over the course of 11+ years on the internet, I ended up being anxious of talking to people, literally getting my anxioety and depression triggered by Purple Man art or just mentions, not being able to look up any fandom stuff of fear getting beaten down and much more.

Just little things can break down a person, so please be mindful and talk to people you think are ‘toxic’ or get ranted on or you think they made a mistake.

I’m still working on my own anxiety towards ‘negative’ comments about my Purple Man, even if it’s really tough for me. But I really REALLY don’t want anybody to go through things I did, or the things Jane and Brandon went through, or anybody else who got cancled because of their passions.

And to make my points clear one last time;

Let people have their own Universes. Let people have their own Characters. Let people enjoy themselves. Have an open mind.

Be NICE in your fandoms!

1. Hands down, Brian is my favorite member. He’s adorable, insanely smart, and incredibly multi-talented. I always learn something positive and new about him. He knows the actions and choices he has made in the past and is determined to pay his price for them, mourn, and move on. He’s often described as kindest, and most polite member. His instagram is too good for this world. And he has written some incredible and iconic songs. I admire his work ethic, compassion for others, and zest for life and everything one can do in it. Save Britain’s hedgehogs? Check. Adorkable? Check. Write (and star in) Badger Badger? Check. Play in a rock band? Check. Take 3-D photographs and save them, including inventing a new type of them? That’s tricky. I would say it’s a tie between Freddie and Roger. Freddie got to sing with Caballe and wrote “I Was Born to Love You” and that always gives me the fuzzies. But Roger’s stuff is catchy and all are a hardcore guilty pleasure (the videos alone are worth it).

3. I’m a tiny 5′3″ and 100 lb person with curly shoulder length red hair and bangs, hazel eyes, and I’m honestly really pale.

So we called the cops they came they couldn’t find him anywhere and we were freaking out but then he just walked out and took the bag of marshmallows and to this day we have no idea where he was because he wouldn’t tell us. It was kinda freaky at the time but now we look back at it and laugh.

3 random stories about stuff that you’ve done in your neighborhood? I’ve moved a few times so we’ll go with 3 different neighborhoods. 1. We were living with my grandparents (Mom’s side) and there’s a lot of ducks and we were feeding them so I went to feed one by hand and that’s how I learned ducks have teeth. 2. We were living with my other grandparents (Dad’s side) and they had a frog garden thing that made noise, we were walking up the driveway, they didn’t tell us they got a new one and that it made noise. Me and my dad walked past it and it croaked at us, scared the fuck out of me and I ran away. There were potholes in the driveway and I tripped and cut my knee up so bad. 3. Um my friend lived on a dead end around my block and I would walk over to his place a lot (I was like 8 maybe older) and we road scooters a lot, he could do tricks and he wanted to teach me, I failed horrible cut up my knees and hands and face and scratched up my glasses so bad I couldn’t use them.

Anyway, well that's the last time I tell anyone anything about animal anons plans, otherwise they will be spoiled and ruined by my friends! Oh well, it's all in good fun (and also forced me to keep my commitment of posting tonight despite being depressed that Jurgen got sent home...#gbbospoilers)!

Well as many people have predicted correctly, I passed the Bar! Hallelujah! I was sworn in as an attorney this week so I am officially an esq! I also am scheduled to received my dolly booster shot next week and earlier this month I started a new (not 80 hours a week) job! So I have had a fabulous month and have many things to be thankful for including my epic sock purchase! Which is perfect timing for the holiday ahead! So I wanna know what you are thankful for this year? I know it's been a tough year for so many so it can be as small or as large as you can think!

my family's had a rough year health-wise bc of my grandma, so i am thankful that she's made so much progress in her recovery in the past few months! she had a stroke back in may so my whole family life has changed to center around her and her care, but she's been making a lot of improvements! it's still pretty stressful and challenging every day but the fact that she's come as far as she has is something to be tremendously grateful for ✨
