Mmm this is hard, I suppose I could do one fave fic for each fandom that I've written for.

"lovers be lost (but love shall not)" (for The Untamed/MDZS, 13k words) 1910s casefic where Wei Ying agrees to marry a recently deceased Lan Zhan in a ghost marriage to ease his family's financial troubles, only to find that he's being haunted by his new husband. (Happy ending though!)

"All Realms of Where and When Beyond" (for Shadowhunters, 106k words) High fantasy, arranged political marriage between Alec and Magnus, enemies to friends to lovers, badass battle husbands.

"it ends or it doesn't // 奈何吟" (for Mysterious Lotus Casebook, ~5k words) I'm only picking completed fic for this so at the moment, it's the first fic I wrote for the fandom! Slight canon divergent, Dihua dual cultivation, set during EP40.

"names of people we could be together" (for Word of Honour, ~18k words) Wen Kexing and Zhou Zishu as rival assassins, modern setting. It was fun thinking up all the plots and double-crossing!

"this one time at boarding school..." (for Red, White & Royal Blue, 11k words) A fun collection of missing scenes from the movie (it's all just smut tbh XD but I didn't write very much for this fandom)

Okay, these are all in the Shadowhunters and Malec fandom, but they were life changing for me:

1. Appasionato

Neighbors AU, Pianist Alec, when music says what words can't.

2. Set Me in Motion

AU, chef Alex, fashion designer Magnus, zero angst and will make you feel all warm inside.

3. In the Sin Bin

Hockey AU, enemies to friends to lovers, a whole lotta angst but a happy ending, sports typical rich white man homophobia, the author is one of my very best friends, you'll get to a character named Wilf. My friend based him on my grandfather that passed away in 2017, and who loved the game until his dying day.

This is a year long event for all you other Malec lovers! Since there are so many wonderful fanfictions written by brilliant authors, we wanted to share the fantastic works with you - FOR A WHOLE YEAR!

So this is how it works: Every day for a year, we are going to post a Malec fanfiction rec. THAT'S 365 MALEC FANFICS! And because we don't want to loose ourselves in so many awesome stories, we sorted them into monthly themes.

For the month of January, we're looking at Malec as parents and there are so many amazing stories that capture their love for each other and their children.

Our first recommendation is "New Starts" by aurora_chiroptera!

Summary:

Even with the Institutes closed following the Revised Accords 15 years ago, Magnus still found he had to deal with the Clave more than he liked. But when Alexander Lightwood shows up at his door in need of a place to lay low and work on starting a new life, he finds little reason to say no.

In a world where the Downworld rebelled and won, Magnus is High Warlock of NYC and Alec was his contact within Idris to smuggle out captured downworlders. But when Alec needs to flee the Clave, Magnus finds himself with three unexpected roommates. Luckily, the kids seem to get along.

Or, I made an AU just to write a fic that is 90% single parent fluff and 10% to say Fuck the Clave.
