This is a great idea.

It is well past time for monarchies (which I almost spelled "manarchies" so take that for what you will) to end, I'd say.

Okay, here's my idea:

The British should put a time limit on the Monarchy.

Not like declaring a republic tomorrow, but deciding on a date in the future that ends the British Monarchy.

And there's a perfect date for it coming up!

October 14th, 2066.

A thousand years since the Battle of Hastings. A thousand years of this one specific bloodline ruling England.

Call time on the Monarchy after exactly one thousand years. Nice, and neat.

Even better: Charles isn't living 44 years. He'll be gone in about twenty. Now William? He's what, 40? Yeah, he can live another 44 years. His great grandmother was over a hundred, his granny was 96, William can make it to 84 barring accident or assassination.

So on October 14th 2066, William the Last steps down a thousand years after William the First won the crown.

Nice, neat, and fair. William gets the crown he's been waiting forty years for already, but ten-year-old George grows up without expectation of it.

Have a nice big abdication ceremony, even.

Damn, they abolished Celestia's influrence over Fontaine through Hydro archon/Gnosis, returning the authority of Hydro to the native Hydro dragon, and then establish their own independant authority, monarchy... ESTABLISHING MONARCHY in the nation based on FRANCE. In an archon quest kinda based on French revolution???

I want to point out that despite reskining itself as French and basically everybody is white... Genshin Impact is still very much an Asian game.

While Frence revolution is about ordinary people standing up against the devine/religious monarchy, the struggle of our region was so much about the hostile alien power, mostly from Europe and American coming to threaten our native monarchy. (China, despite them went full dictator and "Great Leap Forward"'d their entire country, right now has this weird hard on about ancient Chinese manarchy as a part of their nationalism, as long as it does not contradict CCP's "Communism(tm)")

The existance of our monarchy becomes the proof of our own indenpendence and culture. The monarchy becomes "the good guys, the underdog" opposing the "omnipotentent" power of "The White(tm)", in the basic fashion of racist Asian thinking all white people are North American citizen and native American culture never existed.

I am not here to argue if monarchy is good in this year 2023 or better/worse than Invading American Capitalism (because that is illegal here, you either be legally jailed for 15 years, or be illegally snatched by the not-government), but I just want you to understand why it isn't cool or radical to say monarchy bad here, than say, Britian or France.

I wonder if any French people is yelling, screaming at "Monarchy good" arc of Genshin or not.

So yeah, The Celestia is the scary wolf America. Furina and Nuevillette are like CCP, poor little native mew mew protecting average Fontaine citizens against the hostile invading power.

Like trust me, Genshin Impact will never have one "evil" government/native people in power. If they can excuse what Raiden Shogun did, they can excuse anything in the name of "But it is not Celestia doing that."

No meaningful changes will ever be made by average citizen, or humans:

The Liyue is an exception because the god willingly step down...bdespite putting his country in danger for a wack retirement plan.

Inazuma is about restoring Raidan Shogun as a good leader because she is the god, despite all damage she did.

Sumeru revolution, despite humans rescueing the god, is still about a god resuming her rightful role, her birth right that "humans" stole from her.

Furina might be a human, but she is created in Focalor's image as her ideal.

Lastly, my condolence to all the little village named Neuvillette.
