I've said this before but I do genuinely find it very funny how the notes on the average flintblacksails post are perfectly balanced between looking disrespectfully/actual loml/that's my pirate dad/protect my perfect son. More seriously tho one of the reasons I find Flint fun as a character is that he evolves a lot ideologically and emotionally by the end of the show. The thing is that it's mostly Wade that makes him trip balls, as it were. He's encountered many people who are as boring as a single shade of grey or blue or orange, speaking in monochrome and dulling Logan's senses to the point of utter disinterest.
