Marius the Mad Prophet

Marius Corvus Black XVIII was the youngest son of Cygnus Orion Black XXI and Violetta Black and the only brother of Pollux Betelgeuse Black XIII. He was always a bit unusual. As he grew, Marius never showed signs of accidental magic but he started to sense things. At seven years old he could read the mind of anyone nearby and see glimpses of the past and future. Cygnus considered his son barely more than a squib and would have had Marius killed if not for his powers. At eleven he received a Hogwarts letter but his parents decided not to send him, hiring a private tutor instead.

Marius had no spell casting abilities of which to speak, but his powers of prophecy were only growing stronger. However, he could not distinguish between his visions of the past and his visions of the future. As his visions grew more frequent he appeared to lose the ability to determine what was happening in his visions and what was happening in the present moment.

Despite being mostly ignored by his parents, Pollux saw the value of his brother’s predictions. Once king, Pollux counted Marius among his most trusted advisors. Pollux recorded all the prophecies and important sounding visions Marius told him in hopes of deciphering their meaning. While Pollux tried to keep the exact words hidden, rumors about the “Book of Marius” and the secret prophecies it contained spread.

During the first war, Bellatrix pushed Marius off a cliff and killed him. She believed that any “real” wizard would be able to stop his fall with magic and that Marius’ death was proof that he was basically a squib. Bellatrix burned him off the family tapestry. Marius became a ghost and began haunting Black Castle. Once dead, his grip on what was the past, present, and future was seemingly lost completely.

Pollux continued to record his brother’s prophecies even after he was no longer king.

Hi,

I have been wondering.

At some point Bellatrix mentioned great uncle that was a squib.

How Blacks interacted with him?

There between blood purism and mugge hate did he stood?

How would they react now if one on the children turned up to be a squib?

Marius is alive and well in the Muggle world. Arcturus checks on him every now and then. Orion was also in contact with him.

He was sent to the best muggle schools (including Cambridge) and was given enough money to make sure Marius is living his best life, but he isn’t allowed to procreate, so as not to create a half-blood Black

Marius considera himself superior to all the muggles around him, because he’s rich and he’s a Black.

In my head canon, Blacks don’t speak of their squibs, but they always make sure the squibs are doing well with the muggles, with the single condition to never have biological children.

Same goes for Malfoy squibs.

Other families, like Lestrange, kill their squibs.

If Sirius’ (or Regulus’) child was a squib, he’d do the same thing other Blacks did- set them up nicely in the muggle world and looking after the kid for as long as he lives, but never publicly acknowledging them in the wizarding world, and definitely disowning the child.

Malgré la nouvelle monarchie en place, la majorité des familles du peuple français ne possèdent pas le sang-bleu qui semble tant plaire aux membres de la noblesse. Ce qui a tendance à déplaire à l’ancienne élite magique, certains sang-purs n’apprécient pas réellement d’être renvoyé à une place moindre. Néanmoins, sorciers et non-magiques sont placés dans la même caste. Ici vous retrouverez les famille sorcières proposées sur le forum, quelques familles de sang-purs, de sang-mêlée et une seule de non-magiques qui n’est pas jouable.

sang-purs

La pureté du sang est d’une importance capitale pour certaines familles la possédant. D’autres sont plus partagées dans cette histoire, laissant juste le temps travaillé n’ayant pas forcément fait des rencontres spéciales. Il n’est pas très étonnant d’entendre les sorciers de ses familles critiquer la politique du premier ministre. Une partie d’entre eux en voulant à la famille Flamel d’avoir aidé les Bourbon à se placer sur le trône.

bienbon

Famille d’artistes et protecteurs des arts sorciers et de la littérature sorcière, ils sont néanmoins plutôt ouverts et tolérants vis-à-vis du sang des sorciers. Même s’ils préfèrent garder le sang-pur dans leur lignée, ils ne sont pas fermés à partager la route avec des êtres venus de toutes les communautés.

Famille d’alchimistes petits-neveux de Nicholas et Pernelle Flamel, protecteurs de l’Académie Magique de Beauxbâtons. Si une branche de la famille s’occupe en priorité de l’école de magie française, l’autre a repris l’atelier d’alchimie de leur grand-oncle. Ils se sont placés aux côtés des Bourbon et des Hermès pour remettre la France en ordre après la guerre civile, étant les premiers à avoir confiance en la famille du monarque pour restaurer la paix dans leur pays. Ils ne s’attendaient pas être pris de revers avec les derniers décrets pour l’académie offert par le premier ministre. Eux qui ont toujours cherché à protéger les jeunes sorciers, ils ne comprennent pas ce qui est en train de se passer et ne compte pas laisser le premier ministre faire.

Une famille aux origines sénégalaises, au passé funeste. Famille possédant le don inné de magie sang baguette, dû à leurs origines, ils n’ont jamais prôné l’apologie du sang-pur, mais la perte de leur statut privilégié les dérange. C’est ainsi qu’il sera certainement probable que des alliances avec d’autres sang-purs ne seraient pas à étonnant.

Branche française d’une famille connue du monde magique, famille aux exigences folles pour ses héritiers. Famille prônant la pureté du sang depuis toujours, ayant regardé de loin leurs cousins anglais se battre pour le Seigneur des Ténèbres, sans lever le petit doigt, étant simplement déçus que ceux-ci aient perdu face à un gamin. Faisant partie de l’élite magique jusqu’à peu de temps, ils voient les changements de la société magique comme une descente aux enfers.

Famille ayant gardé son sang-pur au fil des siècles, héritiers d’un auteur de théâtre controversé. Néanmoins, aucun des membres de cette famille ne souhaite perdre cette pureté, leur prise étant bien trop bonne depuis des siècles. Membres de l’élite magique déchue, ils doivent se réinventer et il ne serait pas étonnant de les voir utiliser les mots tel leur ancêtre.

Famille de sang-pur aux origines anglaises, certains sorciers s’étant expatriés dans les années 1890. Anciens partisans de Gellert Grindelwald, ils ont toujours préconisé la suprématie sorcière sur les non-magiques. Alors, même si ce n’est pas réellement la manière qu’ils auraient souhaité, ils apprécient les choix du premier ministre sur le fond. Ils préféreraient pouvoir profiter comme les autres de ces avantages.

sang-mêlés

Les familles dites mêlées sont les familles ayant au minimum un être non-magique ou une créature magique dans leur arbre généalogique. Que ce soit de leur fait ou bien une erreur, cela compromettait leur pureté magique d’après certains. La plupart des sorciers de sang-mêlés ne sont pas dérangés sur le fait de l’être, se fichant bien souvent du statut du sang des leurs. Néanmoins, certains d’entre eux tentent de redorer le blason de leur famille.

Il s’agit d’une famille au sang-mêlé depuis au minimum un siècle, la plupart des sorciers de la famille ont travaillé au ministère des affaires magiques, jamais dans un statut symbolique, mais cela semble leur aller et ils ne comptent pas arrêter d’y travailler pour l’instant.

Famille de bureaucrates du ministère des affaires magiques, il n’est pas rare de voir les héritiers de cette famille chercher à monter fur à mesure en grades au travail. Chose qui risque de se compliquer à partir de maintenant, avec les nouvelles lois offertes par le premier ministre.

La famille est principalement connue grâce à Bastien Janvier qui est un joueur de quidditch de l’équipe de France, il a été gardien durant la Coupe du Monde Quidditch de 1994 et est maintenant entraîneur. Il s’agit donc d’une famille plutôt populaire en France, ce qui n’est pas toujours facile pour la nouvelle génération qui doit apprendre à faire avec le fait que leur père ou oncle soit célèbre.

Tout comme les Janvier, la famille Lacroix doit faire avec la célébrité de l’un des leurs. Le quidditch étant assez répandu dans la communauté magique. Principalement dans les familles de sang-mêlés ou du peuple magique comme eux. Il faudrait ajouter que visiblement la nouvelle génération possède les mêmes talents que leur géniteur.

En continuant sur le thème du sport, les Lejeune sont connus pour une de leurs membres commentatrice de quidditch. Ils ne cherchent pas la célébrité, contrairement à d’autres, vivant au jour le jour, profitant juste de ce que la vie leur offre tous les jours.

La famille est connue pour un sort fromagé créé par l’un des leurs. Néanmoins, cela ne les a pas propulsé en haut d’un piédestal, chose qui ne le dérange pas. Ils arrivent donc à vivre normalement dans ce monde qui change tous les jours un peu plus.

Héritiers d’un ancien membre de l’Académie française des sorciers, ils auraient été heureux de garder leur pureté. Même s’ils cachent plutôt cette notion, ne la faisant pas officielle étant donné que leur ancêtre était pour la diversité magique. Une honte pour certains d’entre eux d’ailleurs.

non-magiques

Les familles des êtres non-magiques ne sont pas jouables sur le forum. Néanmoins nous donnons l’histoire d’une d’entre elles pour l’instant, il est possible que cela devienne une liste au fil des intrigues. Le forum se basant seulement sur l’Académie Magique de Beaubâtons, il sera possible d’intégrer des familles de personnages plus tard.

hermès

Héritiers de Thierry Hermès, la famille Hermès est reconnue dans le monde entier pour ses produits de luxe dans la mode, la maroquinerie, le prêt-à-porter, la parfumerie, l'horlogerie, l'art de vivre et des arts de la table. Possédant un empire dans les produits de ces différents domaines. Suite à la guerre civile entre les sorciers et les non-magiques, la famille est liée aux Bourbon et au Flamel politiquement parlant afin de faire cesser les affrontements. Ils ont poussé le peuple non-magique à accepter le retour à la monarchie en faveur des Bourbon. Ils ignoraient néanmoins que ceux-ci en profiteraient pour mettre en place un système de privilège du sang magique, ce qui leur déplaît grandement.  Aucune branche n'est autorisée à la création dans cette famille.

She was a very self-sufficient, yet lonely child who lived largely as a latch-key kid while her single mother Lane worked long hours and who loved nothing more than when her big brother Jacob came home from Hogwarts and they got to have fun together.

Anastasia Read, most often called Ana, was always very soft-spoken and dreamy, even as a child. Her best friends have always been books -- she would get so lost reading the likes of The Chronicles of Narnia and Alice's Adventures in Wonderland that she'd tune out the whole world and often not hear her mother Bonnie call her for dinner the first five times. Even when Ana started preschool, she took her copy of Corduroy with her every single day just to look at the pictures, until she finally learned how to read it herself (earlier than all of her classmates, as to be expected!)

Desiree Lestrange sadly didn't have much of a childhood. From the time she was three, she knew her life was dictated by her role as older sister to her parents' golden child and heir, Marius. Rather than toys, she had equipment. Rather than games, she had lessons. As a result, Desiree grew up way too fast and honestly learned how to have any real fun (outside of finding class material at Beauxbatons engaging) until she became an adult and met Jules Aquila.

lucius REGULUS malfoy : entirely for spite purposes. orion wanted a son named regulus and abraxas said “not if i do it first”. (but his wife wanted him to be named lucius, so...). also opens more avenues to the regulus-is-obsessed-with-lucius headcanon.

narcissa POLLUX black : her father’s favourite, her grandfather’s favourite. never had to chase male validation because every man she knows has thought she was perfect.

rabastan ‘bash’ MARIUS lestrange : i could write an essay about this. rabastan was made for glory. the name marius represents courage, nobility, leadership – masculinity, basically, which was the expectation of him.

bellatrix WALBURGA black : walburga knew that she’d be the one taking care of bellatrix given that cygnus and druella were twelve and thirteen respectively, and demanded that she be given proper respect. also, she was pissy her little brother had kids before she did. they listened to her pretty quick, she is very scary and druella and cynus looked up to her a lot. also, bellatrix loves her aunt walburga!

andromeda DRUELLA black : in the brief period that druella decided she did want to be a mother, she also wanted her side of the family represented, and since bellatrix had her aunt’s name she gave andromeda her own.

kingsley YOHANNES-shacklebolt : three reasons: catholic guilt, shacklebolt is genuinely crazy last name especially for the only (?) black man in the entire series, kingsley’s initials being ‘kys’ are hilarious, his parents saw their little boy and said fuck you, fag

emmeline KIRAN vance : pakistani emmeline vance !! kiran means a ray (of light) and given that i characterize her as miserable and bitchy almost always... well, it’s ironic. it's also her mother’s name!

hestia DAMARA jones : damara in greek represents domesticity and love. while i don’t imagine her to be a housewife or, god forbid, a trad wife she does have that almost maternal aura to her, and she is very domestic and soft.

sturgis BENJAMIN podmore : i don’t think about him very much, actually, but he’s a family man which the name benjamin does represent. set for greatness but died before he could fulfill it.

But apparently it's like I'm missing out on A LOT cuz there are all these characters that weren't in the moviee??? And so the movie so it seemed was based of Victor Hugo's book frm 1862 yea?? Is that book what the fandom built itself around??? Or is there another version?? Is it like a series or just 1 novel?? Is it sufficient to just dl the 1st pdf file that shows itself on google?? Maybe the live musicals??
