at this point my entire blog is dedicated to the jack-related roman empires of spn but one of my BIGGEST roman empires is that jack was literally in psychosis after killing Mary. he was hallucinating his own father who shared the face of the man he just murdered brutally, and that hallucination said he was never anything more to his family than a pet monster and a weapon. that he’s pathetic and desperate and clinging to deranged hope to think he can fix it and earn their trust or love again. and this wasn’t chuck tampering. this was literally just a hallucination. Rowena even says he’s mentally unstable. and that hallucination is verbalizing Jack’s own subconscious and [probably] intrusive thoughts that he’s presumably been holding for a while, and urging jack to be selfish for his own survival when jack said in ouroboros that it’s selfish of him to put himself first. a whole guilt induced psychotic episode. jack repeatedly being shown to be ever so happy when he feels needed and loved and wanted by his family, only to internally fear that he’s a fucking pet to them. literally subhuman. a PET. MONSTER. I don’t even. I don’t even fucking know man. Like. HELLO?

we can assume that being a good vessel for lucifer is from Mary's bloodline since Michael possesses john and adam (who is only johns son) so why? why on gods green earth did lucifer not even ask mary to be his vessel in season 12? he asks one of sam's guilty pleasure favs but not his mother? who would apparently be a perfect vessel for him?

sam is being held by the bmol in 12x01 but in this version the torture was more extensive, he's barely alive when dean, cas, and mary show up to save him, theres nothing they can do and then lucifer shows up.

he tells sam he can cure him but only if he says yes, this vessel isn't gonna last much longer. sam refuses so lucifer turns to mary and gives her the same deal.

say yes and i cure him, say no and he dies.

and mary already feels so guilty about her deal and everything thats happened to sam. she sold him to get john back and so she does what she thinks is right. she says yes.
