Early Christmas Gift :) Virtue of Quranic Verses from National Library of France(free document)

Hello, I have finished translating a manuscript from the national library of France if people are interested in using it. I found the document to be very wonderful having myriads ways of working with the Quranic verses and having some theological basis in Hadith. Methods to empower one's own spirituality or learn alchemy, it is definitely interesting! I did try to keep the initial tone or some of the broken grammatical ways that the person wrote the text in it. It's free!! I hope you enjoy it :)

The witch of the philosopher's stone, its nature is biological immortality. It has the ability to manipulate the chemical structure of anything from metal to human flesh, and change it to whatever it pleases. Its apparent intelligence fluctuates from of a wise genius to only a clingy baby.

The doppel of biological immortality, its form is a philosopher's stone.

Each of its segments are in the shape of one of the five alchemical polygon going in numerical order, with the icosahedron containing the witch, which has aged so far backwards from the philosopher's stone's magic, its now a fetus, using its treasured stone as a womb.

I'd imagine if Flamel was a magi (and therefore magireco unit), he'd have a trio unit with Pernelle (with Torte as the third wheel), and combine with Hermes Trismegistus and Torte's doppel.

had such a difficult week, lots of stuff going on, fell into a depression pit of despair and it made me really struggle with the informational speech i was so excited about. i absolutely fumbled it to blunder last night, in part because I was stumped by a missing element - which I solved in a 5am epiphany last night which cured my depression lol - and retried it today. didn’t even ask, a bunch of the friends i’ve made here all came by to hear it and i’m like,,,,,, holy fuck T____T literally cannot express my gratitude and the extent of my sentiment and profound endearment. i was also able to resolve some concerns and was wholeheartedly assured and clarified on the fact that everyone has a really positive stance on me here. i’ve had such a hard time making friends my entire life but tonight really made me feel like i have friends that love me. something so simple is truly so profound. makes me feel so lucky. i’m not crying youre crying 

also the info speech was only supposed to be like 7 mins max but i chose medicinal history and when i went to play it back i fucking talked for 23 minutes lmfao so embarrassing but also if there was any room for doubt on my title as a gay nerd i have removed such areas entirely

Went out of town the other day to let some thoughts out of my head and I returned home with some materia magica.

What I’m most excited to work with are these Blackthorn spikes, especially because I feel like I wasn’t the one finding them, but the other way around… it’s odd to explain and I wonder if anyone else had this kind of feeling as well?

I’m so willing to share the view as well, I found myself in the middle of the mist at some point (“bad” weather makes me happy as a child, particularly during summer).

The old lore tells us that there is a Cemetery guardian; sometimes it is the very first person to be buried in the graveyard, sometimes it is the last person, depending on the tradition. Most often it is the former. After making offerings and getting permission from the Guardian Spirit of the cemetery, one can harvest plant parts ([though] not flowers or fruit [as lore says that these in particular belong to the dead who rest there]), moss, grass, or grave earth from a grave.

An offering must [likewise] be given [to the grave of the person the materia magica is being harvested from]- a silver coin being common; I do not recommend alcohol or tobacco unless the grave is one's own ancestors or beloved dead that have cultural use of such substances. Those are very powerful offerings for the dead and should be treated as such [... Regardless] Intentions are to be explained and gratitude given to the dead while speaking out loud to the spirit. tips/craft on oil/consecrated oil

Thanks to my partner for this advice, when making consecrated oil and you want to conserve in it's usage, go to a perfumery shop or wholesale markets and look for "amber roll-on oil bottles" or "perfume oil bottles" or order them from aliexpress. There's not much to say here except, to use a dropper for filling up these bottles, I have included a bottle for size reference. There are bigger bottles of course. That's all, I hope that people benefit from this and don't need to spill oil around and waste it excessively :) I hop this helped

On the Sorcerous Faculties of Metals

Within the scheme of the occultic arts, Crystals are, and have long been, a central focus of materia magica. While there is a legitimate historical precedent behind the magical associations that many Crystals bear, these traditional associations have become willfully misconstrued and commercially co-opted over time, resulting in the New Age crystal racket that many of us have come to know. As such, not only has the crystal industry become an ethical and environmental nightmare, but what slim crystal lore that we have maintained over time has become largely conflated with nebulous new-age quackery. And what's more, much of the other occultic wisdom regarding magical associations that we've accrued over generations has been supplanted and ignored. One realm of this wisdom, which I think is especially underrated by many groups, is that of metals and their sorcerous capacities.

While I realize there are certain esoteric traditions and paradigms that do speak on metal (such as correspondences in planetary magic, or folk-magic involving iron,) the things I share here are purely my own personal experiences regarding a selection of metals as utilized within the Wending Way, based on my years of experimentation and notes I combed over For the sake of conciseness and clarity, I eschew Alloys in these references and speak only on Elemental Metals.

Copper: A metal closely associated with the ancestors—being the first metal worked by human hands—and well suited to spectral evocation in general—likely connected with its high capcity for conduction. As such, Copper is a particularly good metal where works of Thanaturgy and Necromancy are involved.

Aluminum: A metal that can be used to strengthen and empower workings of mantic perception.

Zinc: A metal associated with the healing arts and best suited to workings of such a nature.

Titanium: A metal of great protective virtue, well suited to workings of magical defense.

Tin: A metal associated with Fortune, and best suited amongst the common metals for working with the Gloaming Folk.

Lead: A metal with virtues potently predisposed to malefic workings of Affliction.

Manganese: A metal possessing of excisive virtues, well suited to acts of banishing and expulsion.

Nickel: A metal well suited to workings of influence and persuasion.

Lithium: A metal best used in workings meant to promote balance and equilibrium.

Bismuth: A metal of illusory virtue, utilized best in Glamours and Heles, or similar rites of illusion/concealment.

Silver: A chthonic metal bearing sacred significance to the Bone Mother, in particular, and strongly associated with her offerings and rites.

Gold: A zoetic metal bearing sacred significance to the Wilding King, in particular, and strongly associated with his offerings and rites.

Mercury: A transmutative metal bearing sacred significance to the Draconic Angel, in particular, and strongly associated with their offerings and rites. While not a material to be used with any degree of frequency, it may be utilized in works of great transformation on desperate occasions.

Iron: A metal powerfully suited to the absorption, storage, and/or redirection of all magics in general, which may serve to anchor or empower a wide variety of workings, accordingly. While Iron in its smelted form may be considered profane to certain denizens of the of the Otherworld, its raw forms are sacred to the Spider and its Gloaming progeny. Meteoric iron, in particular, represents the holiest and most potent form of the metal.

Return to SoCal

I recently got a new job, and it came with a mandatory relocation to Southern California. This was where I was living back when I first began my magical journey some mumble-mumble years ago, and considering the distance I’ve felt growing between my practice and me, there’s been something of a nostalgic “coming home” feeling to this move.

I've posted a couple things on Instagram during this time, but the big administrative lift was definitely reconciling my inventory of alchemy experiments, tinctures, macerations, and various other materia magica.

This reconciliation was way overdue, so I was kind of happy to have been forced into it 😆

I also intended to reconcile my magickal library...

...but instead, I just packed everything in boxes and promised myself I would do it when I unpacked. Since all my magick stuff is still in boxes, I'm going to happily assume all [235 of my books] made it through this transition unscathed.

There's something about SoCal that speaks to my magickal side, so I'm hopeful that my return to this area will also mark a return to more study and activity.

Considerazioni di carattere generale sulla magia

Il fenomeno della magia ha sempre costituito oggetto d’interesse per diverse categorie di studiosi tra cui gli storici delle religione i sociologi della religione gli storici sociali e gli antropologi culturali. Per quanto riguarda gli storici delle religioni dobbiamo dire che essi considerano l’universo magico come un ambiente labirintico e complesso. Vogliamo mettere in evidenza che gli storici delle religioni considerano l’universo magico costituito da almeno 3 livelli fondamentali : la folk magic i gruppi magici e la cultura esoterica. La folk magic è costituita dai rapporti interpersonali tra maghi e clienti che si instaurano per motivi esclusivamente strumentali. Infatti il cliente si rivolge al mago per risolvere problemi specifici e raggiungere obiettivi di vario tipo. Tra questi obiettivi è inclusa anche la possibilità di danneggiare terze persone attraverso l’uso di mezzi magici. A sua volta il mago accetta di soddisfare le richieste del cliente che ricompensa il mago fornendogli una adeguata ricompensa economica. Ma la folk magic è oggetto di studio non solo degli storici delle religioni ma anche dei sociologi della religione. Diverse sono le classificazioni riguardanti la folk magic ideati da questi studiosi. Per fare un esempio concreto i sociologi della religione hanno classificato i maghi in due categorie principali ovvero i tradizionali e i rampanti. I maghi tradizionali operano soprattutto in contesti rurali e non utilizzano le moderne tecnologie per rapportarsi ai clienti. Al contrario i maghi rampanti esibiscono attestati e titoli acquisiti in vario modo per dimostrare la loro competenza in materia magica ed astrologica. Tali maghi rampanti agiscono soprattutto in ambienti urbani e fanno spesso uso dei mass media per farsi pubblicità. Questi maghi appaiono regolarmente in trasmissioni televisive e radiofoniche utilizzando la loro immagine e il loro carisma personale come strumento per ottenere una sempre crescente popolarità. Il secondo livello dell’universo magico è rappresentato dai gruppi magici all’interno dei quali i rapporti interpersonali non sono strumentali ma dipendono in gran parte da fattori emotivi. Per dirla in altro modo all’interno dei gruppi magici non esistono rapporti dipendenti da fattori economici ma al contrario le relazioni interpersonali dipendono da quei fattori che sono importanti in tutti i rapporti non strumentali. Tali fattori sono : simpatia antipatia solidarietà e condivisione di obiettivi e fini. Dobbiamo dire che lo studio dei rapporti interpersonali presente all’interno dei gruppi magici continua a suscitare l’interesse di molteplici ambiti di studio. Il nostro mondo è popolato da numerosi gruppi magici ma anche nelle società del passato erano presenti tali gruppi. Uno dei gruppi più noti e diffusi nella società moderna è la Wicca una religione magica che ha raccolto un notevole consenso nel mondo occidentale in particolar modo nei paesi anglosassoni. Dobbiamo dire che la Wicca continua ad aumentare il numero dei suoi adepti e di conseguenza la sua importanza nel mondo moderno. Dopo il New Age la Wicca rappresenta il gruppo neo pagano più significativo e importante nella società contemporanea. Il terzo livello dell’universo magico è rappresentato dalla cultura esoterica che costituisce il grado più elevato e sofisticato del pensiero magico. Tuttavia a causa della sua notevole complessità non fa parte della cultura di massa comune alla maggior parte delle persone. Anche in passato l’esoterismo ha assunto diverse forme e modalità. Tra i rappresentanti più importanti dell’esoterismo nella società moderna figurano gli Julius Evola e René Guénon. Evola viene considerato il teorico dell’individuo assoluto poiché il suo magismo filosofico non tollera la formazione di comunità che si autorealizzano o di dominio della collettività sull’individuo di qualsiasi tipo. L’esoterismo di Evola può portare solo alla divinizzazione dell’individuo che diventa creatore e distruttore di tutto. Lo studioso non mostra alcuna pietà per i più deboli nonché per coloro che non possono reggere il confronto con gli altri uomini nei vari settori della vita sociale. Una caratteristica costante delle sue opere è l’invettiva contro il mondo moderno e la scentificazione della vita. In ultima analisi possiamo dire che Evola è fortemente influenzato dalla tradizione magico ermetica che ha avuto una grandissima importanza anche in passato. Per quanto riguarda Guénon dobbiamo dire che egli è considerato il più importante esponente del tradizionalismo esoterico che può essere considerato una forma di tradizionalismo integrale. Per dirla in altro modo il tradizionalismo di Guénon è una sorta di neo parmenidismo che vede nell’immutabilità ed eternità dell’essere universale l’unica vera fonte di salvezza. Egli propone una dottrina dell’identità suprema che può liberare l’umanità dalla decadenza del mondo moderno. Guénon interpreta l’intera storia dell’umanità in termini di progressivo allontanamento dalla tradizione e dal Principio Supremo. Concludiamo tale discorso su Guénon mettendo in evidenza che egli collega il suo tradizionalismo a un elemento non umano eterno e immutabile che è essenzialmente metastorico. In ogni caso vogliamo mettere in evidenza che il pensiero esoterico di Guénon che in alcuni ambienti della società moderna viene particolarmente apprezzato ed esaltato. You said all your asks are doom an gloom so, What is a thing in magic/your practice that just makes you light up in giddy joy?

I love making offerings, it brings me joy to express gratitude to the spirits. It also allows for the spirits to get closer and I enjoy interacting with them in a more non-formal way. I've also found some spirits have strange senses of humour. For example I was looking for a box that had to meet certain specifications. I looked for ages and a spirit told me to 'follow the owl'. I asked for clarification and they replied 'the owl will lead you, seek it out.'

This went on for weeks. I asked the spirit again and they simply repeated themselves and I felt like they were laughing at me- I didn't hear the laugh, but you know when humans are making fun of you, in this instance I felt the spirit was making fun of me.

So I forgot about if for a while, then as I'm walking down a street I walk down to go to university every single week I happen to glance into a charity shop window. What is staring back at me? An ornament of an owl. What was the owl sat on? A box! And the box met all the specifications I needed. I have no idea how long the box and owl had been in that window, but I get the sense it had been there for a while and the spirit was messing with me. Laughing at me for looking at the sky and trees and not in a charity shop window for an owl!

Spirits can enjoy a joke at your expense. And it makes me laugh because I would also do such things as a spirit!

The most enjoyable aspect of my practice is in the creation of materia magica. The creation of sigils, talismans, oils, incense, boxes, poppets, charm bags. I am not an artist or even that practical minded, but I enjoy creating these things. They bring me joy, they serve a purpose, and they feel powerful because I know they have been created with intent under spiritual conditions. Magic has taught me many practical skills I would never have learned in my day job.
