Drag queens unite! Drag PAC is looking to challenge anti-trans laws and drag bans around the country.

It was founded by a number of RuPaul’s Drag Race alums, including Willam Belli, Jinkx Monsoon, Miss Peppermint, Monét X Change and BenDeLaCreme, as well as Dylan Bulkeley-Krane, according to The Hill and KFOX-TV. Bulkeley-Krane previously co-founded Disability Action for America, a PAC dedicated to disability rights. Drag PAC announced its existence Wednesday in a new YouTube video, where the queens involved spoke about why they were driven to found it. [...] The queens say that Drag PAC is the first PAC to be led by drag performers. The goal is to “motivate the LGBTQ+ voter base to create a community of empowered and informed citizens that participate in the democratic process, amplifying the values and issues that affect them as unique but equal American citizens,” according to the PAC’s YouTube page. Right now, the PAC’s website is sparse, with the YouTube video, plus links to register to vote and to donate. The PAC has so far raised $15,000 from individuals, according to Open Secrets.

A first in drag politics: drag performer-led Drag PAC is being formed to fight for drag rights as a result of the anti-drag extremism enacted by right-wing government entities, such as drag bans.

The right-wing war on drag is part of the broader war on LGBTQ+ rights and gender nonconforming expressions in public.

               Injury Roundup from Week 6

Bears quarterback Justin Fields suffered a dislocated thumb in Sunday’s lose against the Minnesota Vikings. He’s listed as doubtful for Sunday’s contest vs the Raiders. 

On Monday, head coach Matt Eberflus did not have a timetable on Field’s return, but stated that  "It’s really going to come down to grip strength."

Fields completed 6 of his 10 pass attempts for 58 yards and one interception before getting hurt in the third quarter. In the last two weeks, Fields had explosive weeks, throwing for eight touchdowns and one interception. 

Rookie quarterback Tyson Bagnet will mostly likely get the start on Sunday. Bagnet went undrafted out of a division II school, Shepherd University. He beat PJ Walker and Nathaniel Peterman for the second string position. 

Bagnet came in for Justin Fields on Sunday, completing 10 of his 14 pass attempts for 83 yards. He also had a rushing touchdown that brought the Bears back in the game before throwing an interception in the final two minutes of the game.

"At his position, that's not an easy thing to deal with," head coach Dan Campell said at a press conference. “but I think there’s a chance we won’t have him for a bit."

Montgomery has been a solid addition to the Lions during the offseason. 384 yards rushing, 6 rushing touchdowns. 

Their other running back Jahmyr Gibbs is supposed to suit this Sunday’s contest vs the Ravens after missing the last two games with a hamstring injury.

49ers lost 3 starts on Sunday’s loss to the Cleveland Browns. Running back Christian McCaffery suffered an oblique injury in the fourth quarter. The team is still waiting on MRI results. 

“It’s obviously a tougher position just because you get hit a lot more, but we’ve just got to see how it reacts,”  head coach Mike Shannan said to the press on Monday. “We got to see exactly what’s wrong with it, too, because we haven’t got that back yet. So we say oblique/rib. Hopefully, it’s not both, but we got to wait to see for sure.”

Wide receiver Deebo Samuels and offensive tackle Trent Willams both suffered ankle injuries in Sunday's game. Both are considered “day-to-day.”

Jaguars’ quarterback Trevor Lawrence suffered a knee injury late in the fourth quarter in sunday’s game vs the Colts. He’s day-to-day and it’s unclear if he will play Thursday night vs the Saints 

Some injuries were scarier. Bills running back Damien Harris suffered a neck injury, and left the field in an ambulance on Sunday Night’s contest against the Giants. He had movement in both hands and feet. He’s now out of the hospital and resting at home.

Raiders quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo was also taken to the hospital with a back injury during Sunday’s game vs the Patriots. He’s still undergoing more testing, but head coach Josh McDaniels stated that Garoppolo "dodged a big bullet" 

It’s unclear at this time if he’ll be ready for Sunday’s game against the Chicago Bears. If not, backup quarterback Brian Hoyer will get the start. Hoyer completed 6 of his 10 passes for 102 yards during Garoppolo’s absence.  

Injury bug has been hitting the NFL real hard this season. The Football Database.com says “There is 218 players on IR, currently.”

Sundance Kidders

Robert Redford has just joined the illustrious ranks of celebs trashed by South Park creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker. The Sundance Film Festival founder got a drubbing from the cartoon creators via their rock-band side project DVDA at this years Lapdance film festival (one of several rebel events held along side Sundance). Though Stone and Parker's rowdy Park City performance included such songs as "David Kelley, TV Warrior" (expressing in awe at Kelley's ability to write comedies and dramas and make love to Michelle Pfeiffer), the most provocative new tune was "Robert Redford F*cks Babies".

(Sample lyrics: "I showed a film at Sundance...and all was well/Robert Redford helped me get a movie deal/i used to live in Texas, but now i live in hell...") The unnatural attack on The Natural star was nothing personal, insists Stone: "

We just want to expose a little bit of what Sundance is, which is not the friend of independent film only, but friend to Hollywood, too." Of course, the duo may still be smarting from 1993, when they paid $50 to submit their no-budget first film, Cannibal : The Musical, and never even got a rejection letter. Redfords' reps had no comment.
