Maggie Tozier (angry and protective) pushing her way to the front to yell at the big turtle: What do you mean our children?! They're twelve! They haven't even gone through puberty yet!

Maturin the Turtle: I am sorry.

Jessica Hanlon (angry and protective too) coming stand next to Maggie: Why does it have to be our children? Can't anyone else do this?!

Maturin the Turtle: Your children are the only really good decent people in town( everone else sucks). Together they are unstoppable.

The losers club parents oddly proud of that fact, because honestly true, their kids are great: awww 🥺🥰

Andrea Uris: Your saying the fate of the Derry lies in the hands of our twelve year olds.

The losers club parents all together have flashbacks of all the shenanigans their children have gotten together. Especially Richies parents.

Mike Hanlon Headcanon #2

There's a little book display right at the entrance of the library that Mike set up a few years after he took over as librarian in Derry.

There's a topic of the week that changes every Thursday and it's a big hit with the regulars.

Every once in a while Mike gets asked how he comes up with the different topics and he always answers the same thing, that the themes just come to him while working.

In truth, every topic is linked to the Losers.

Sometimes it's inspired by a memory, like the time Mike put all of the books he could find about canaries on display after he remembered the time Stan had tried to help him get over his fear of birds by taking him to the pet store when they had been 15 years old.

Other times Mike catches an article or news story about one of the Losers that inspires him for the following week, like the fist time he found one of Ben's projects in a magazine and put together an architecture display.

Over the years there had been weeks about poetry, cars, fashion, comedy, friendship. Family.

After Derry 2.0 there's one last display before Mike plans to leave Derry with all 6 of his old friends.

The Losers call him silly when they walk in and see the turtles but Mike just laughs.

And maybe the turtle will, too.

okay so considering that maturin is the natural opposition to It i’m thinking about that multiple UD theory (em <3) and wondering if accessing another dimension would reveal a creature of light that opposes the mf and maturin has a lot of qualities that are similar to that of Will personality-wise (kind, benevolent, wise, and he encourages bill to fight It with willpower, mental strength, and internal faith and belief which is what will uses to fight the mf). maturin ends up dying over the course of the 27 year time skip but that might not be relevant in this scenario

like it’s interesting how It may be the son of the crimson king (henry), suggesting that henry is the one who created the mf or at least the current version of it but maturin isn’t a product of anything, but rather one of the ‘old ones’ and a guardian of the beams that the crimson king is out to destroy. there’s the suggestion that It is a twinner (a doppelganger of someone in a parallel universe) of one of these beam guardians, as it’s perceivable form is a spider but that isn’t one of the actual guardians.
