Background and Trauma

Loona exhibits a complex personality shaped by a traumatic upbringing. Her behavior is rooted in her experiences at the Hellhound Adoption Foundation, where she was raised by uncaring caretakers. Devoid of affection and subjected to violence for disobedience, Loona's formative years were marred by isolation and mistreatment. This harsh reality of her childhood in the orphanage left her with deep-seated trust issues and an inability to properly give or receive love, influencing her interactions with others, including her adoptive father Blitz.

The so-called "adoption center" looks like a cross between a run-down dog pound and a juvenile detention center, with most of the hellhounds Blitzo sees looking malnourished or deformed. When he sees Loona, her cellmate is threatening her with a bloody nail bat before she flings him at the bars, growling and then she starts crying, looking more like a frightened, feral dog than anything. The social worker's indifferent description of her in her emotionally dead tone doesn't help, saying all this directly in front of Loona's cell, and only highlights how lonely Loona's life had been for almost eighteen years.

Loona's living space gets more tragic the longer you look at it. The back and side walls are covered in tally marks scratched into the tile. And there's a typical "Hang in there!" poster ripped with obvious claw marks, making it clear Loona had long given up hope of being adopted into a family. There are some drawings on the walls of Loona with storm clouds above her head and a giant version of her stomping on a city. Either they were drawn by Loona in which case they show just how frustrated and fed up with the world she has become over the years, or they were drawn by the other hellhound kids who only see her as a vicious monster.

The fact that this place is essentially a pound and not an adoption place paints Loona's situation as much grimmer. They're not treated as individuals but as animals and would normally just leave as rescued dogs. When the social worker mentions that Loona will age out it's implied that it doesn't mean that she's exactly leaving safe & sound.

You can also see that Loona takes a look at her tally marks, and as it lines up with the social worker's statement on her aging out, it wordlessly states Loona knows about this. Whether she's put to sleep or kicked out ownerless, it's a cloud of pitch-black dread she can do nothing about except countdown to.

The social worker's dialogue makes it clear how hellhounds are treated in this world. They're not treated as sentient individuals; instead, they're valued for either being strong laborers or cute family pets. Loona is both strong and beautiful, but being a self-actualized person with internal struggles and self-preservation instincts makes her undesirable. For an imp, one of the lowest creatures in Hell's hierarchy, to be able to adopt a hellhound as a pet or servant shows that despite their strength, they're seen and treated as even lower than imps.

If Blitzo hadn't adopted her, Loona would apparently have "aged out of the system" and been "out of the kennel's hair". This could simply mean that Loona would be kicked out, but given a mix of how scared she looked, the way hellhounds are treated in this setting and what sometimes happens to real dogs when they're deemed too old for adoption…

Personality

Loona's past manifested in various aspects of her demeanor. Her reluctance to perform her job may stem from a newfound appreciation for freedom, contrasting with her previously constrained life. Her agreessive nature, particularly towards characters like Moxxie, can be seen as a defensive mechanism, a way to assert control in situations where she might feel vulnerable.

Blitzo's adoption of her before she aged out ensured her gratitude and was why she didn't leave him. But years of hardship have made it hard for her to open up to him properly. Despite her tough exterior, moments of genuine vulnerability reveal her social awkwardness and desire for connection, which she struggles to navigate due to her lack of social experience.

Loona is shown throughout the series to have a strong aversion to being touched, reacting either with threatening growls or violence. However, her aversion to being touched might've stem from her past in the adoption center, yet she can handle being touched when she's the one initiating the contact, as seen when she allows Octavia to hug her and then holds her hand through the portal. That being said, she never reacted aggressively to Blitzo's affections beforehand, so this felt out of place, even for her.

Social Skills

Loona seems to be hiding some deep insecurities and feelings of loneliness, having never had any friends before meeting Vortex and briefly glancing with visible sadness at a picture of an happy family in "Murder Family", which implies Loona does wish to have good relationships in her life, but is unable to due to her tendency to see the bad in people and vent out her frustrations on others, including (and, arguably, especially) those who try to be nice or fatherly to her, like her adoptive father Blitzo.

However, after having been friend-zoned by Vortex, Loona didn't resent him and kept in touch with him, becoming great friends with him and going to parties with him, which might be making her more open to people and less hostile, as she's gradually becoming less rude and apathetic towards her co-workers.

Father-Daughter Relationship

Blitzo is her adoptive father, but she almost always refers to him by his name since she doesn't like showing the fact that she cares about him. That said, there are times where she slips up: on Instagram, she was so worried about him being kidnapped that she straight out called him "dad", though she immediately tried to walk it back out of embarrassment by claiming she was just upset that food was running low in their home. In "Spring Broken", she was so flustered with seeing Vortex that she almost slipped and called Blitzo "dad" before catching herself.

Once, she showed to be more than capable of both showing affection to and taking care of Blitzo: when he became severely intoxicated at Vortex and Queen Bee-lzebub's party to numb his pain after having rejected Stolas, she drove and carried him back to I.M.P. headquarters, set him on the couch and covered him with a blanket. When Blitzo shared his insecurities regarding loneliness and asked her if she'd be by him once he met his end, Loona promised him she would, showing her seriousness and true care by willingly calling him "dad".

Sisterly Bond

For the longest time, Loona and Octavia never met each other, only being connected to each other through their dads being in a rather complicated relationship with each other. This changed one day when Octavia snuck into I.M.P.'s office to obtain her father's grimoire so she can watch a meteor shower on Earth on her own. Loona actually spots Octavia trying to sneak in, but deliberately chooses not to say anything (partly because of lingering anger from a discussion she had with her father earlier).

As Loona approaches Octavia when she finally finds her, she's incredibly gentle with the girl and even compliments her on her photos. Loona rags on Blitzo at the beginning of "Seeing Stars", even physically assaulting him. But on Earth, she ultimately does do what he wants in finding Octavia, confiding in her that she recognizes that Blitzo is trying to be a good dad to her. It's as close as Loona gets to admitting that maybe things with Blitzo aren't as bad as she's ever gotten.

When Loona asks Octavia if she's ready to go while extending her hand out to her, Octavia gives the grimoire over to Loona and hugs her, glad to have someone who listened to her and can relate to. Previous episodes have shown that Loona does NOT like physical affection, shown most often with Blitzo. Yet here, Loona accepts and even returns Octavia's hug with no resistance whatsoever. It's even better since Loona was the one who initiated the contact. She holds her hand out to Octavia twice as though to help her stand up and looks a little confused when Octavia instead hands her the book the first time.

Conclusion

So far, I can see that Loona's character among fans is kinda mixed. While some viewers are sympathetic with her traumatic past and understand her defensive behavior, others find her attitude off-putting, which is understandable. It's also understandable that due to her recent absence and lack of dialogues during the second season, Loona's VA was probably given time to grieve due to the losing her partner and probably a busy schedule with other projects.

HECATE

PARENTING:

Before the new pact was made, Hecate still tried to be there for her children when they needed her most. She could provide a boon if she was available, and even (though rarely) visit them in their dreams to give them magical advice. However, she was also working with the surviving titans, as they were her family, as well as working with the other Underworld gods and goddesses. This prevented her from being able to see her children all the time.

When she joined the Titan Army, she only did under the promise that her children would be kept safe. Kronos agreed, and Hecate actually got to know her children much more closely during the Second Titanomachy. Through this the bonds of her children became stronger.

Now, she visits her children on their 12th, 18th, and 21st birthdays, as well as their birthdays on the decade-marks. She also visits them every other month at Camp Empeiria. She loves her children immensely and loves to teach them how to hone their unique forms of magic. While she may be taller and more mysterious, not divulging into her past, she does offer her children affection when she comes to see them.

She is a virgin goddess, but she can create her children using magic and different elements of nature. This, along with some of the blood from her lover, creates the newborn demigod baby.

CABIN:

Her cabin is made out of dark wood, with some rocks at the bottom for foundation. The walls are painted purple and two green torch-flames sit outside the door. The door has Hecate’s three faces carved into it. The cabin has been blessed and protected by the different plants grown around it, including some of the magical herbs that were grown from Kronos’ blood. The cabin is blessed to not be destroyed from the outside. In the busier months at Camp Empeiria, some children of Hecate and Hermes have been known to set up a small stand for potions outside the cabin.

Inside, the cabin is very cluttered with different tools for magic and potions. Not a single space is clear, and everyone uses the space to set up different things. It is considered very messy, even when things are “put where they belong.” There are stains on the walls from potions and magic that glow slightly at night. There is a pet polecat that lives somewhere in the cabin. There are books, vials, potions, flowers, and other ingredients found everywhere, with dried flowers being hung, candles being lit on windowsills, and tons of different books on the history of magic.

CABIN CULTURE:

The cabin has been close with the Hermes children, as they also share powers related to paths, language, and travel. They also share an alliance with the Hypnos children, who give them Lethe water to help aid potion creation. Together, the three cabins team up for many different Camp activities, and friendships are made between them.

The older children of Hecate, who were in the Titan Army, are very protective of their siblings. This level of protection is passed down through the other cabin counselors of Hecate. They are encouraged to help their siblings with magic, though this can lead to the cabin getting rather noisy at its most full. Many talk over each other, and interruption is common.

Demigods who get overwhelmed by the noise are able to go and get some space outside, though they may also have to deal with any onlookers watching them practice. The cabin tends to be more chaotic during the later hours of the day, so going to practice earlier in the morning can be helpful.

Every other month, Hecate comes to teach her children magic by the light of the month’s full moon. She is able to give them advice and help them find clues from different aspects of nature, as well as teach them about how different magical ingredients grow at different times of the year. This allows her also to catch up with her children, and be in a very comfortable spot for all of them to practice magic together without worrying about many of the other demigod dangers.

“Dada and I made you food!” She smiles, planting a big wet kiss on your nose. “Said it was a special day!” She babbles before her head spins around and stares at her dad with wide eyes. Her chubby little hands lift as she waves at him. “Look! Mumma awake!” He chuckles, scooting closer to the two of you and pets her head.

“Good job, sweetheart.” He leans down and kisses her head, smiling widely at her. “Do you want to give mumma her food?” Ari feels his heart warm as she nods, making grabby hands, and he helps her hold onto the tray. “You did so well, sweetheart! I’m so proud of you.”

She blushes as they both turn and wait for you to sit up, placing the tray onto your lap. “Food for mumma!” You smile, place your hand on your daughter’s cheek and lean forward to kiss her forehead.

“Thank you, baby girl.” You look toward your husband, holding a hand out and placing it on his cheek. You smile as he nuzzles his cheek into your palm. “Thank you, my love.” You look down, smiling at the heart-shaped pancakes drizzled in maple syrup. A perfectly made coffee with foam shaped into a heart, a rose sitting next to the plate perfectly, and a piece of paper with a drawing of your family. You look up at your daughter, “did you draw this, baby girl?”

She smiles, nodding her head. You look back down and take in the crayon drawing of you and Ari holding each other’s hands, your daughter in the middle, with a giant smile, and she even included the elves, capturing their usual expressions in the drawing. “This is beautiful! I love it. Thank you, honey.” You squeeze her little hand before digging into your meal, simultaneously feeding the two other people in the room. As the three of you eat, you talk and laugh, listening to your daughter babble about her adventures with the elves.

Ari stares at you lovingly, and your eyes capture his as your daughter talks. A soft smile appears on your face, and you mouth ‘I love you’ to him, taking in his handsome features as the two of you continue to stare at one another. Once you had finished eating, Ari grabbed the tray and placed it safely to the side before lying down, opening his arms and letting you curl into him. You smile as your daughter curls into you. “Thank you both. I loved everything. Especially my drawing, I’m going to place it where everyone will see it.” You place a soft kiss on her head before resting your head back against Ari’s hairy chest, letting out a deep sigh as he strokes your sides.

“Dada got you presents too!” You hear a gasp followed by a loud ‘shh’, giggling as your husband and baby argue back and forth. “You did!”

“You weren’t supposed to say anything, bubs! It was supposed to be a surprise!” She lifts herself, staring at him with wide eyes. Her lips pout, giving him her best puppy dog look. “No, no. That will not work on me, sweetheart.” Her eyes widen more, lips pouting out. You giggle as you watch this unfold right before your eyes. “Ugh, fine. You win! But do not tell your mother what I got her, pinky promise?”

She grins, interlocking her pinky with his. “Promise, dada!” 

You pout, blinking up at him with wide, innocent eyes. “Why can’t I know?” Ari groans, closing his eyes.

“No! No! Now, I know where she gets the look from! That won’t work on me. You’ll have to wait for tonight!”

aemond would be devastated deep down. he’s more angry at himself than you, knowing that he let you in and trusted you wholeheartedly drives him into fits of rage, a lot of them aimed at you. he’s scary that’s for sure, cornering you against walls and hissing nasty words at you when you cower. he can’t bring himself to actually hurt you but he does keep you as a hostage of some kind, making you feed back false information to give his family the advantage.

aegon is a whole turmoil of emotions but the one that shines through the most is disappointment. he thought he’d found the one, his twin flame. he believed you’d been sent to him for a reason, to pull him out of the depressive pit he was in. you made him believe in a brighter future and then to find out it was all a ploy destroys him. as hard as it is he wouldn’t even confront you or come to you himself, he’d let his council deal with it and returns to drinking away his sorrows.

alicent is by turns distraught and fuming. she’s sad at first because your bond wasn’t real at all, just a fabricated lie and she has to mourn the loss of that connection but whilst you continue to fawn over her falsely she’d turn angry - seething that she has a rat around her at all times. she’d sit on it a while before making the decision but would ultimately decide to make the sacrifice and keep you around. she pretends like nothing has changed, that’s she’s still madly in love but underneath she’s telling you nothing but lies and secretly plotting your demise.

when rhaenyra learns of your treachery she goes cold all over, a sense of numbness overcoming her. when she looks at you all she feels is disgust and it doesn’t take long for her to corner you and confront you. she barely has to raise her voice before you break down, pleading that you love her but she wouldn’t have it. her council may urge her to have you executed but she shows restraint, otherwise telling you to pack your things and leave and that she never wants to see you again.

humiliation is how daemon would choose to deal with it. to disguise how hurt he is he’d tell everyone you’re his pet, making you do horrible things in front of the court and no one can do a thing. he can’t imagine not having you around but he can’t be looking weak in front of anyone either. when he speaks to you it’s in condescending tones, always asking you why you ever thought you could undermine him. he truly becomes your master and he’ll use you anyway he can.

jacerys is more confused than anything, wondering why you’d take it so far, why you’d make him fall in love with you. he’s angry that he was so gullible and vulnerable with you. the two of you would have an emotional confrontation but he’d ultimately send you away, trying his best not to cry on the beach as he watches the small boat he hired carry you away from him. he wouldn’t have even went to his mother, too uneasy about what she might have done to you - he at least wanted you to be safe.

harwin would let you explain yourself once then he wouldn’t want to speak to you again. he completely cuts you out of his life which you suppose you deserve. he’d tell you he never wants to see or hear from you again but in reality he keeps a close watch over you, making sure you’re as safe as you could be, especially if you stay on at court. he’ll never forgive the betrayal but he can’t stop thinking about you either.

Most kids are born. They're conceived by two people who may or not be in love and after nine months they're born. Not Winter. Kira Volkov had a beautiful child, Kiana, that had been ripped away from her. As any mother who had lost their own, she was devastated, and desperately wanted her child back. Being a VERY talented scientist, she replicated the cells of her lost child and cloned her. She created a new Kiana, whom she named “Snezhana”, after the area where she was born in. She had succeeded, but she was terrified that the same thing would happen to this new child, so she handed her off to an old friend of hers, Doctor Mark Castellan. 

Unfortunately, doctor Castellan was NOT a very good person. At all. As Winter grew up, her only memories were that of being Doctor Castellan being her actual father, watching various operations, including human dissections, animal dissections, the creation of various diseases and other things like that. When Winter turned 13, she began to develop a interest in quantum mechanics after seeing her older “brother” Aster Castellan attempt to create a quantum void maker, though it never created a safe and stable void. Winter began to research that subject with Aster as her teacher. She also picked up hacking and video games as a hobby. At 17, She published several articles about her findings, and was scouted by an organization called ANTI-ENTROPY, which was going to launch a new program and wanted Winter to be a member in it. She of course accepted, but a few weeks before she went to the AE building, an incident at the lab occurred and Aster was killed. Because of this, Winter held off of going to AE until Doctor Castellan forced her too. While at ANTI-ENTROPY, she completed Aster’s quantum void machine. She also met Karina Siling, the so-called “prodigy of Prestige Academy”, and the two became friends, eventually, Karina told Winter about the horrible things that AE really did, and what she had learned from a “friend” named Yuta Sakuya, Karina also told Winter about the World Serpent, and invited Winter to come with her to the World Serpent. Winter didn’t want to leave her universe because she had been accepted to Seoul National University at a record age, so she agreed to only occasionally stay with the World Serpent, and otherwise, she was free to do her own thing. So Winter created the online alias “Silver Wolf”.

Occasionally, Winter will assist the Armed Detective Agency or the Port Mafia, it depends on her mood, and who pays her more, thought Winter joining the ADA and/or World Serpent officially.

DISSECT SYBILL PLEASE

YESS OK !!! sybill is one of my favorite underrated characters she's literally SO full of things to talk about.

i think she was raised in a middle class household trying to hold onto its former wealth / notoriety, particularly being known for their divination skills. however, i don't think any of them are actual seers. they may be able to read tea leaves or see crystal balls accurately, but sybill is the only true seer. from a young age she was made to help her family pretty much scam people — both muggles and wizards — by offering prophecies and protective spells. this, along with only having phony divination teachers, made her become the unreliable seer she is in canon.

she suffers from chronic night terrors, sleep paralysis, and sleep walking, but most of the time she can't remember exactly what happened, except that she was scared. this makes her never want to go to sleep, so she's always sleep deprived and relies on tea (she would only drink coffee in private — has to keep up her tea drinking perception !!!). she's known as a freakish loser, and only really gains friends later in her school years. this is mainly from how other people see her, but also because she's kind of pretentious and doesn't think other people are worth her time.

her eventual friends i think would include peter, xenophilius, and possibly some other minor characters that i can't think of rn !! but she's not really connected with any of them. she mainly smokes pot with them, and sometimes they have group trauma dumping sessions. xenophilius definitely ADORES her. i see him as being at least a year above her in school, and she would fascinate him sm i genuinely would love their dynamic. he'd see her as both a creepy little pet and the sweetest, saddest girl alive.

she was definitely bullied a little, but i don't think she really let it get to her head, so people kinda gave up on that. some of her bullies may have been the slytherin group (barty especially), james potter, maybe mary and marlene slightly? and just general gossiping and rumor spreading. but again, she didn't notice and / or didn't care.

she wasn't academically smart per se, but she was fairly people smart — she just dgaf lollll like in theory she could be very empathetic or whatever, but i genuinely don't know why she would be... she doesn't care about these people !!! this does cause very strained relationships with her family and the majority of her friends though.

i don't ship these guys that much sorry 🫣 BUT i have Thoughts.

i think they both teach each other something. sybill teaches peter to be more individualistic as well as showing how his friends aren't always as nice of people as he thinks they are. peter shows sybill compassion, and as a result she gets to be more in touch with her own emotions.

she would totally send him on little excursions in rat form to pick up gossip that they would later talk about. she would also LOVE to freak him out by reading his palm or checking his tea leaves, and then watch in glee as he was paranoid for the rest of the day.

i think if they were to actually date, they would be a very cute couple. she's the scary but secretly sweet and soft girlfriend, he's the friendly guy who shows her off to all his friends. she definitely influences him a bunch, and he will use any excuse to bring her into a conversation; ie, "i think it's going to rain" "i'll go ask sybill then 😊"

when she gets grumpy or upset or scared, he knows how to make her feel safe and comfortable, and when he feels frustrated or dejected, she can make him laugh.

• I’m 20 years old in this body, and my birthday is on the 25th of May.

• I’m a straight cis female, so she / her pronouns would do just fine.

• I’ve been awakened since about 2014 ish, and I’m a spiritual Therian, Otherkin, Alterhuman, Nonhuman, Fictionfolk / Fictionkin, however you wanna call it 😂 Meaning I believe all if not most of my identities / kintypes are rooted from alternate lives, such as: Past, Future, Parallel, and Dream lives.
