“Open the fucking door, Nancy!” you banged on the door as tears started rolling down your face. “Open the fucking door, Nancy!”
“Come outside and tell me it was worth it!”
“Sweetheart, let’s go, she’s not worth it” Robin said as she was rubbing your shoulder, trying to comfort you. “No! I will not go unless she goes outside to talk” you protested while still banging on the door and shaking the doorknob.
Nancy on the other side, started crying. Who does she think she is? She had the audacity to cry at this moment knowing damn well she slept with your boyfriend.
“We’ve been best friends since kindergarten! How can you do this to me?” Once again, banging on the door and shaking the doorknob in hopes that Nancy would open it. “Nancy, open the fucking door!”
Your knees finally gave up as you slowly fell down to the floor. Trying to process everything was so hard, your best friend since kindergarten, and your boyfriend of one year. You felt as if your heart was ripped out from inside of you. How can they do this to you?
You’ve been here for a few minutes, tears trickling down your face as Robin was comforting you, rubbing your back with her hands. It wasn’t worth it, and there wasn’t any hope. She’s not coming out, she’s a coward.
Standing up once again, you banged on the door, and shook the doorknob. She’s still there. You got tired of this bullshit. “You’re a fucking coward Nancy, and I would’ve never have done this to you!” You leaned in against the door, “I would’ve never have done this to you!”
Running away from this place as fast as you can, and as far as your legs can take you. You reached Lover’s Lake, unbeknownst to you, Robin was actually behind you.
Crying as hard as you can, you buried your face in your hands, trying to process everything that happened. “Hey dove, it’s gonna be ok”. Robin walked up to you, as the two of you hugged.
Pulling away, you looked at her, “Steve put me through hell, and now he took my fucking best friend? Like what the fuck?” You cried harder as you buried your face onto her chest.
Robin never complained, she loved you. Seeing you at your worst felt like hell, all she wanted was for you to be happy for once. “Let it all out dove, let it all out”
“Thanks Robin, you’re such a good friend” You mumbled. She let out a fake smile.
I don’t wanna be your friend, I wanna kiss your lips.
Two months had passed by, and Robin was a big help to you. Nancy and Steve made it official afterwards, which sometimes didn’t help at all. You scoffed at the thought of that, they were nothing but bitches.
“Ooh! Let’s get ice cream!” Robin suggested as she pulled you towards the ice cream store. Speak of the Devil, they were there. Robin’s face fell as she looked at you with worry. Steve and Nancy, looked at you with pity but failed to hide it, you only grimaced at them in reply.
You were about to say something until Robin, who didn’t even spare a second, pulled you out of the store, and dragged you to God knows where before turning to look at you. “Hey (Y/n/n), are you okay?” She asked, worry laced in her voice.
“I am, why wouldn’t I be?”
“Well you know, the people who were at the ice cream shop?” she stated, “Who cares about them, it’s our day today!” You laugh in excitement as you pull her in for a hug. “I’m so glad I have someone like you, Robin”
The brunette, who was in shock at first, hugged you tightly while pulling you closer to her. “You’ll always have me, dove”
I wanna touch you, but not like this
More months had passed by, and what once was friendship blossomed into something else. You thought it was only normal feeling jealousy whenever you saw Robin talking to another girl. Thinking that it was normal, that you would want to hold her every second of every day.
Until one day, Robin told you about Vickie, the girl she liked. Saying that you were in pain would be an understatement. You were distraught, in the depths of despair rather. That’s when you knew, your caring for her wasn’t platonic at all, it was romantically.
It wasn’t the same as before, Robin only talked about Vickie everytime you two would hang out. Vickie this, Vickie that, Vickie would be the topic of everything, and you were sick of it.
Now, walking with Robin along the road, she was telling you about how she and Vickie talked today. There was a beast inside of you that finally snapped, you just couldn’t take it anymore.
“No offense, Robin. It’s always Vickie this, Vickie that. It’s almost as if you only cared about Vickie, and not me!” You exclaimed, “Okay, that’s kinda selfish of you, dove. I’m so sorry” She replied as she let out a humorless laugh.
“No it’s not okay! I can’t believe how blind you have been!”
“Dove, i don’t get what you’re saying” Robin tilted her head to the side. “Can’t you see? I’m in love with you. I wanna be your girlfriend, Robin”
So much can happen in a second, one can die, one can fall in love, and one can ruin their friendship. And you stood in front of Robin, as you two were dumbfounded.
You try to do something you were always good at, you tried to run.
However, thanks to her fast reflexes, Robin got a hold of your wrist and pulled you towards her, as she kissed you passionately.
You were shocked at this sudden gesture, yet you went along with it. The kiss wasn’t rough, and it wasn’t full of lust at all. It was slow, and passionate, as if you were telling someone you love them, but with your mouth.
Wrapping your hands around her neck, you pulled her closer as she did the same thing, but with her hands around your waist.
Pulling away as you both gasped for air, everything felt surreal. The two of you could only do so much but stare. Just stare at each other, lovingly.
“I love you”
“I love you, too” you said back as you pulled her in for another long, passionate kiss.
And at that moment, no words were exchanged. Just two lovers passionately kissing each other.
I wanna kiss you until i lose my breath

Robin may not be the greatest at picking up on flirting or if someone isn’t really feeling the vibes, but she is great at picking up if you’re having an irritable day. Coming through the door, you don’t bother hanging up your coat from work; just tossing it on the couch corner and slipping your shoes off letting them scatter wherever. You know Rob means well when she talks on and on about any and everything but, she’ll stay particularly quiet when she can sense somethings off. It’s not necessarily a bad thing; she gets it and you do too, sometimes silence can be just as needed especially with a day like this. She’ll turn the shower on for you getting it hot, help strip you of your clothing including her own to join you. Tying your hair up, immediately taking the soap from your hands she’s lathering from your sore neck down to massaging your breasts; not so much as sexually but sensually. Going as far as dropping to her knees, washing in between your toes and back up to your plump legs and hips; she allows you to just lean all your weight you’ve held all day onto her as she rinses your body. She’s truly one of a kind you think. Protesting you can dry yourself, but giving up quickly because she won the argument already; she rushes to get your favorite towel because(yes you have a favorite fuzzy towel nobody is allowed to use..because it’s so soft) she walks you back to y’uns bedroom. She knows your feet turn cold quick and your legs get hot faster; fuzzy socks and an oversized hoodie it is. After redressing herself and you making room for her to hold you, she goes to brew your favorite cup of peppermint tea to warm your tummy; ready to cuddle and kiss all for the rest of the night.— Until that bitch takes all the blanket.

Maya hawke x reader fluff?
sorry if that's too vague I am not creative in the slightest
Another Evening in Dreamland.
Pairing: Maya Hawke x reader. Warnings: you have a cat, fluff, living together, domestic life, very short. (Sorry for taking so long) Summary: Maya gets home to her shared apartment with Y/N and we see a bit of their life.
Tumblr media
You had fallen asleep on your couch, waiting for her. Normally, you would have called to let her know that you got out earlier from work, but you were just too tired. All you needed was to see her face, and know about her day... And maybe a little bit of food.
Either way, she found you sprawled over the pillows; your arms hanging from the sofa and knuckles touching the rug underneath it. It made her smile, finally taking a few steps closer to you to tuck you in with one of your fuzzy blankets.
Then your cat, Kit-Kat, seemed incredibly interested in her attention, without taking a care for you. He jumped right onto your stomach, taking out every drop of oxygen from your lungs and making you jolt awake. Maya cried, "Kit-Kat!"
The cat meowed menacingly.
With a pout on her lips, your girlfriend sat right beside you on the floor, looking up into your face. "I'm sorry babe, I was trying to be as careful as I could..."
"It's okay..." you mumbled sleepily, trying your best to smile, "'Was waiting for you..."
"Oh, love...!" she laughed, crawling closer so she could be in kissable distance, "I thought you weren't arriving until eight today! I even brought you dinner...!"
The happy hum you let out made your cat start to purr, "You brought me dinner?"
Maya raised her hand holding a rather big paper bag and shaking it carefully, "Of course I brought you dinner."
You finally incorporated in the couch to let a soft, chaste kiss rest on your girlfriend's lips. "Fucking marry me..."
Her eyes shone, the exact same way they did a year ago when you said those two words. She opened her mouth to say something, but a smile got in the way, and then another kiss, ad Maya had to let out a shaky breath before saying "Already did."

GOLDEN GIRL. robin buckley.

summary: steve flirts with the cool beautiful tourist who visits family video for her girlfriend.
warnings: profanities. suggestive comments. embarrassed steve. gif credits to @dykejaskiers
word count: 1.4k
Tumblr media
steve doesn’t know how everything went off the rails or why he suddenly has six kids under his wing – seven if you include robin. he used to be king steve, now he’s mom steve to a pack of fifteen-year-old shitheads.
where are their parents? it’s a question steve wishes he has an answer to.
the said shitheads were currently huddled at the corner of family video. it was a monday so they were the only ones keeping him busy. he had to drag the staff room’s television out and let them choose a film from the newly shipped releases after getting blackmailed by dustin.
“farrah fawcett.” dustin mouthed. he was lucky keith was out for a two-week vacation.
steve glared at him like there was no tomorrow — other than the mean blackmailing, it was peaceful. they were quiet, aside from occasional comments and laughter. steve basks it all in.
robin is out back, rewinding tapes, and steve is, yet again, stuck by the counter whilst looking out for the kids because where else will steve be without his children?
the overhead bell rings, signaling a customer, but steve couldn’t even bother to look up as he mindlessly flips through a magazine. he drones aloofly, “hi, welcome to family video. my name is steve and i’ll be helping you find the perfect film for yadda yadda yadda.”
“you think you can help me find a good rom-com, steve?”
his head snaps towards the lovely voice, magazine nearly dropping from his hands as he gapes at the sight of you. hawkins is a small town and you must be a tourist because it would be foolish of him to miss someone as drop-dead gorgeous as you.
“h-hi, my name is uh- harrington. steve. steve harrington.”
“hi, steve harrington,” you smile, a hint of mischief in your sultry voice. you knew who he was, you’ve seen him in the manifold of polaroids robin has. you decide that you want to have some fun.
steve’s knees nearly buckled, chills ran through his bones, and goosebumps rose on his skin. your voice was airy, like a soft breeze alleviating the heat of a feverish man under the scorching sun.
he feels his hands start to get clammy, was it getting hot in here? he lightly tugs at the collar of his god-awful shirt. “what was your question again? i’m sorry, i must have gotten lost in your eyes for a bit.”
you scoff in amusement, ignoring his outdated pick-up line. “rom-coms? do you have any new releases that are worth watching?”
max snickers at the sight of a tomato-red steve, she nudged the others and paused the movie to watch steve instead. it was better than whatever movie lucas picked.
steve directs his attention to the kids and glares at them. he takes a deep breath before turning his gaze back to your expecting one.
“well, if it’s romcoms you’re looking for, we don’t have any good ones yet,” he starts, tilting his head to the side to flash you his ever-charming smile. “but, y’know, i heard that pretty in pink is good.”
robin shuffles out of the back room and grins at the sight of you. she heard steve’s poor flirting attempts and decided to bring out the scoreboard, but when her eyes settled on you, her grin widened even more.
“yeah?” you muse, leaning against the counter. you notice robin’s presence.
steve gulps at the proximity, he wasn’t lying when he said he gets lost in your eyes. “yeah… i can- i can take you to the movies and we can watch it together?”
you hum as if in thought, playing with the charms on your bracelet before you look up at him with a smile. you ask sweetly, “you think i can invite robin to come with?”
robin stifles her laughter.
“rob-” he pauses, eyebrows furrowing in confusion. “robin? buckley? my robin buckley?”
“well, yeah,” you shrug, lips curling into a smirk. “i mean, i don’t think it’ll look good for me if i go out with my girlfriend’s best friend to the movies alone, don’t you think?”
steve’s jaw drops.
the kids burst out laughing.
robin snickers, making her way towards you. “i thought you were staying at home today, baby?”
steve grimaces at the pet name.
“well, i thought i’d visit my best girl,” you smile, leaning into her embrace as she wraps her arms around you. she pulls you in for a kiss.
“-and flirt with her coworker slash best friend?” steve asks bitterly, a small pout on his lips. his glare steers to robin. “and you! you let me go on with it – what is wrong with you, seriously.”
dustin and max cackle at his demise. tears were forming in their eyes from their laughter.
“you were doing the flirting,” robin points out. “she was asking you for movies. you know, like what you’re paid to do?”
steve grumbles, but he isn’t mad or annoyed. he’s actually happy for robin even though he felt cross that she never told him about her cool girlfriend from the city.
“aww, it’s okay, steve,” you coo. “we can still go to the movies. if it helps, i know robin will let you hold my hand if you get lonely.”
he shoots you a sarcastic smile.
“i will, actually,” robin agrees, wrapping her arm around your shoulders. “i know how you cry when the guy and the girl finally get together.”
“okay, you’ve had your fun.” he rolls his eyes, hands resting on his hips as he looks at the giggling children. mom steve mode activated. “and you shitheads, do you want to walk home later?”
robin grins, intertwining her hands with yours. she drags you towards the backroom, sneaking behind steve as he continues to scold them. you hear the faint sounds of the television after a few seconds.
you hop on top of the low shelves in the room, grabbing one of the lone vhs tapes as robin shuts the door. you snort, showing her the tape with wiggling eyebrows. “may the foreskin be with you.”
she pulls a face of disgust as she settles herself in between your legs. “that’s actually so fucking gross, i can’t believe people are into these.”
you laugh. “don’t kink shame, robs. might i remind you that you absolutely love being-”
robin scoffs, pinching your thighs. “you’re being malicious.”
you smile, putting the tape down to wrap your arms around her neck, her own promptly snaking around your waist to pull you just a little bit closer. you pull her into a soft kiss, mumbling in between pecks, “missed you,”
“you know i missed you more,” she says, moving forward to kiss you again, and again, and again. it was an act that she will never get tired of. it was dizzying, the feeling of you, the feeling of your love.
the kiss was heated, lips pressing together like the final piece to complete the puzzle – the feeling of domestic content as you step back to admire your work. it’s bruised and red, a feat of passionate love and adoration.
your hands roam wherever they can, trailing and leaving goosebumps in their wake – an unconscious matter of habit; memorized after spending time after time of lingering touches and ardent intimacy.
you’ve never loved anything more than you loved robin. it was endless, the love you have for her, and you never quite failed to remind her, to show her. it goes on a long way; like going on a trip to find the other side of the rainbow where you’ll find a pot of gold.
but the happiness doesn’t stop at the gold; it’s where fortune leads you.
and it’s infinite because with the gold in your hands, life keeps getting better every waking moment. you’re lucky.
with robin, you are golden.
a soft moan slipped out of your lips as her tongue slipped into yours.
steve makes himself welcome in the room, leaning against the doorframe. “you aren't paid to sneak in your girlfriend and make out with her, you know?”
robin hums, a soft smile gracing her lips. her eyes never wavered from yours. “wish i was,”
you are golden but she will always be your golden girl.

Hey, can I request something (don't really care what, I just want to read something about this 😭) about Y/N being Max (or Charles or both 👀) best friend, but everyone (from the grid, their team and the fans) think they're dating, but Y/N is actually either aroace or not into guys (maybe she even has a girlfriend). Eventually someone of them snaps and she brings her gf to a race or wears a shirt with a giant asexual pun on it. 🙈
I hope this is not too specific (or not specific enough idk 😭) and I would love if you could do something like that.
okay I'll be honest I loved this, but my layout was not going well so this turned into a blurb
Please keep requesting - y'all have awesome ideas we agree on a lot of stuff :) - my guidelines are here, and if you want some prompts, they are here.
also feel free to come in and start chatting to me in my asks, would love to get to know y'all better
Okay I apologise, I really wanted to get this out, so I did turn this into a blurb
And I loved how detailed this request was - i really don’t mind how detailed you get as long as I can write something
Y/N grew up with Max and Charles
So even before they made it to f1, the fangirls were shipping it
And it wasn’t that big of a deal
Until it was
Aka all the media questions were about her relationship
And her attempted soft launch on her insta
It got a bit annoying when Christian joked about her letting Max win the championship
And Callum and the mechanics were constantly making jokes and laughing at the 2 of them
And when she spent 10 of a 15 minute press conference answering questions about Max and Charles
Yeah she’d had enough
So she brought her girlfriend to a race.
(probably Maya Hawke, cause let’s be honest every lesbian and bi girl has a crush on her)
So it’s just the 2 ultimate women together
The world goes crazy
Christian just turns round and goes ‘why didn’t you tell me?’
It gets worse when Y/N rocks up to the press conference, not in her red bull shirt but this shirt
Tumblr media
Twitter goes wild
Any of coure Y/N wins the race for Maya
(i can’t even drive and I would win the race for Maya)

Three inches
Summary: You invite your friends over to your house and your dad, Hopper, walks in at a bad time.
Warning: A little bit of smut if you squint & fluff.
Listen while reading:
Woman in love - Barbra Streisand
Tumblr media
Being the daughter of the chief was a struggle for a teenager girl who just wants to have a little fun. With everything that's gone on in this town, he's of course very protective.
But it can be so annoying sometimes.
Today was one of those times.
Dad has a strict rule about keeping the door open 3 inches when I have boys over. I can understand the rule, he thinks I'm too young to be doing anything, but the thing is I don't like boys.
So, inviting my friends over when they're boys is always so embarrassing. That's why I regret ever agreeing to having the group over at my place.
"Dad, please don't embarrass me." I beg as I peek out the window, checking to see if Steve, Nancy, Eddie, and Robin have pulled up yet.
"I don't even know why you need two boys over. One is already pushing it." He grumbles from the kitchen.
"I'm 18 dad, just let me hang out with my friends in peace." I reply, turning to look at him and he just mumbles something about 'still in high school' and 'you act like a child' under his breath.
I roll my eyes and then hear a knock on the door. I rush over and open it to find my four best friends and I try to quickly usher them to my room before my dad can catch them.
Unfortunately, he still catches them.
Robin and Nancy successfully make it through the threshold of my room, but Steve and Eddie are both pulled back by large hands on their shoulders.
Hopper glares down at them and they both look about ready to piss themselves.
"Dad.." I warn him, knowing what's coming.
"Just need to tell them the ground rules." He replies, not even glancing at me. "Door open three inches. Always. Got it?"
They both aggressively nod.
"No kissing, touching, or any naughty business-"
"Dad!"
"And!" He raises a finger, pointing it in both of their scared faces. "Remember. I have a gun."
"Oh my god, dad!" I say exasperatedly as I pull Steve and Eddie by their arms and into my room, about to close the door behind me when he shouts 'three inches!'
"Yeah, got it!" I reply back, rolling my eyes and turning to find a scared looking Steve and Eddie, Nancy and Robin trying to hold back their laughter.
"Pussies." Robin mumbles, making us all break out into a laugh, except Steve and Eddie.
"Shut up, Robin. I'm just waiting for the day he finds out about you two and then you're the one shitting your pants." He says, pointing between Robin and I and I roll my eyes with a laugh, falling on the bed next to Robin and cuddling up beside her.
"Don't be jealous just because Robin likes boobies more than she likes your Farrah Fawcett hair." I reply and Robin cackles sharply while Steve glares at me.
"Did Henderson tell you that? He's fucking dead." He mumbles the last part to himself and I can tell he's blushing because Nancy now knows his embarrassing secret.
“You know, coincidentally, three inches is also the size of Steve’s-”
“Don’t even think about finishing that sentence, Robin.” Steve glares, one hand on his hip and one pointing at her like a mother threatening her child.
"Okay, I think we play some Truth or Dare to spice this up, what about you guys?" Eddie asks, hopping to his feet with a mischievous smile.
"I don't know.." I reply glancing towards my door in hesitation.
Eddie peeks out of the room to see Hopper lying on the recliner completely knocked out and he smiles before shutting the door all the way.
"Eddie!" I whisper shout at him, my eyes wide.
"He's knocked out, it's fine. Come on." He says gesturing for us all to sit on the floor of my room. I roll my eyes, but do it anyway.
"Okay, who's going first?" Eddie asks. No one responds so he rolls his eyes, "Okay, Wheeler. Truth or dare?"
"Um.. dare?" She replies, seeming timid with Eddie's evil smile on her.
"I dare you and Harrington to spend seven minutes in heaven." He smiles cheekily, pointing towards my closet and wiggling his eyebrows.
"Whoa, whoa. I don't need any weird substances on my clothes-" Robin cuts me off by slapping a hand to my mouth and smiling cheekily back at Eddie.
I hate these stupid matchmakers.
"Go ahead." Robin nods to the door and Nancy and Steve both grumble, but make their way inside the closet anyway.
When they're shut inside, we all wait patiently to see if we hear any noises. Eventually we get too bored and just decide to chat about random stuff.
“Hey, how long have they been in there?” Eddie suddenly asks and we all look at each other, shrugging.
Eddie stands up and goes to open the door. When he does we all gasp at the sight of Steve and Nancy sucking face. They both quickly pull away when they realize they’ve been caught.
Nancy blushes and Steve awkwardly clears his throat, “Um.. We’re going to get going actually. It’s late.” Steve says, grabbing Nancy’s hand and dragging her out of the room.
“Hey, wait! You’re my ride, Harrington!” Eddie yells, chasing the couple out the door.
I turn to look at Robin with wide eyes and she looks at me with the same expression. Then we both burst out into laughter.
After laughing about the chaotic situation for a good couple of minutes, we find ourselves laying on my bed, cuddled up and listen to the soft sounds of Woman in Love by Barbra Streisand playing from my stereo.
“You smell really good.” I mumble into Robin’s neck and hear the sound of her raspy giggle.
“I put my best perfume on just for you, sugar.” She replies and I blush in response, kissing her neck gently.
“What? You think you were gonna get lucky tonight?” I tease with a small smile, pulling away to look at her pretty face.
“Well, duh.” She replies and I giggle before pressing my lips against hers. The kiss is soft and sensual and I pull away to lick my lips.
“Are you wearing Cherry Cola Chapstick?” I smile, smacking my lips at the taste.
“You know it’s your favorite.” She huskily replies, pulling me back onto her lips by the collar of my shirt.
I move to straddle her, kissing her more desperate and rutting my hips against her thigh. She smiles into the kiss and flips us over, one of her legs slotted between mine so I can relive some of the pressure building.
She pulls away to watch me grinding against her thigh, sighing out a laugh, “There you go, pretty girl, use me.”
I whimper, trying to keep quiet since my dad is still in the house. She goes back to kissing me and I feel lightheaded with pleasure.
Suddenly the door that was once closed, slams open and the sound of my dads voice fills the room, “I told you, three inch-!”
I gasp when Robin pulls away and look to see my dad standing there, beet red.
“D-Dad!” I sputter, embarrassed. “Get out!”
“I-I’m sorry, I thought.. I’m sorry.” He stutters, shutting the door and I turn to Robin who looks back at me shocked.
Then she starts to laugh.
“It’s not funny, idiot.” I groan throwing a pillow at her, and this causes her to start full on cackling.
“I’m sorry..” She says, trying to catch her breath after her fit of laughter, “But that was really awkward. I can’t believe that happened.”
“That was terrible.” I groan, covering my face with my hands.
“Aww, sweetie. It’s alright. Look on the bright side, he doesn’t seem homophobic.” She shrugs, “He just seemed really uncomfortable. Which is fair when you walk in on your daughter heavily sucking face with someone-”
“You know, you’re really bad at comforting people.”
“Yeah, I get that a lot.” She smiles.
———
“See you tomorrow.” I smile, giving Robin a kiss on the cheek.
She waves goodbye and I shut the door behind her. I turn around and find my dad standing awkwardly.
“Dad, about earlier..” I start to say, but he just puts a hand up signaling me to stop.
“Just-” He starts and I wait nervously for whatever he’s going to say, “Just keep the door open three inches.”
I smile brightly and run over to him, hugging him tightly. He smiles, hugging me back and resting his chin on my head.
“Love you, dad.”
“Love you too, kiddo.”

The cold wind was announcing the inevitable arrival of the winter; leaves were rustling with the breeze in the same direction as the many clouds in the sky.
Robin sat by a lonely swing, dirty sneakers kicking the brown, dead leaves on the ground. The ring on her finger clicked against the chain holding the wooden swing. She was waiting for Steve, who was supposed to meet her ten minutes ago, she wasn't surprised by his delay.
Strands of hair flew in front of her eyes, she hugged her coat closer to herself. Two kids passed by on the street, both on bikes and short-sleeved shirts; she wondered if they felt the cold.
After two more minutes of swinging back and forth, Steve's red car appeared in her line of sight. Robin didn't bother getting up, her bright eyes followed Steve as he opened his door. The day was grey and cold, yet Steve was smiling and talking.
Robin saw the reason why shortly after. The passenger door of his car opened and a girl stepped out.
An annoyed groan escaped Robin, it was supposed to be just them, she'd be giving Steve a piece of her mind later for bringing along whatever girl he was trying to date.
You walked away from the car, falling into step with Steve while stuffing your hands into your hoodie's pockets to try and chase away the cold wind piercing at your skin.
"Hey Robin, sorry we're a bit late, I had to stop by to pick someone up." Steve leaned against one of the wood beams holding Robin's swing, looking at you with a grin.
"You invited me, dude." You playfully frowned at him, hugging yourself and shifting on your stance; your eyes darting momentarily to the pretty girl on the swing.
Steve chuckled, "I hope you don't mind I invited Y/N, you remember I told you about her right? My friend from middle school?"
Robin's gaze focused on you, pursing her lips and instantly loving how the shade of blue of your hoodie complimented your skin. "Yeah, I do remember."
You smiled, an adorable tilt of lips as you walked forward and offered your hand for Robin to shake. Which she did, simultaneously cursing her suddenly sweaty palms.
By the end of that day, after you made Robin laugh like never before, held her hand on the roller coaster of the local fun fair, and kissed her cheek goodbye before climbing onto the car; Robin knew she was a goner.
For the ten months after you two met, you became Robin's safe place.
Funnily enough, you were wearing the same blue hoodie when Robin had the courage to finally kiss you.
It was sleepover night, Robin invited you over with a promise of cool movies, snacks, and games. You sat on her bed, Robin's head resting on your lap while you discussed which band was better.
"I still stand by my choice Buckley, Beatles all the way." You leaned back on your hand, fingers threading through Robin's hair. You had a lazy smile, memorizing how pretty her eyes were, looking up at you under the soft yellow light of her room.
"They are good, Blondie is better though." Robin tugged on the strings of your hoodie, eyes half closed with your soothing touch.
"Only in your world." You whispered, not caring much for the argument anymore.
Robin opened her eyes fully, with a witty reply at the ready that got stuck in her tongue when her gaze found yours already fixed on her. She exhaled sharply, her heart pumping blood much faster than it should; and she thought about how much she wanted to kiss you right now.
"What's stopping you?" asked your quiet voice; and Robin gulped down a massive lump in her throat because the words somehow slipped from her mind and were thrown in the open for you. She was frozen for a moment, her chest hurting from the pressure of her beating heart and body cold with goosebumps.
Until your words downed on her, and Robin was sitting up slowly. Your places on the bed left little to no space between you, Robin could feel your unsteady breathing on her lips and she took a leap of faith when she grasped the collar of your hoodie, pulling your lips towards hers with a passion that could easily pass as true love.
And for the next two months after your first kiss, Robin considered herself the luckiest person in the world for being able to call you hers.
Robin twirled the dark blue string of the hoodie between her fingers, bright and excited eyes fixed on the clock right above the board. She was counting the seconds for the class to just be over already.
There was a tap on her shoulder, breaking her intense stare. Robin looked up, doe eyes meeting rather annoyed ones from her teacher.
"I'm seeing that empty textbook, Ms. Buckley." The older woman raised a neat eyebrow, making Robin duck her head and hurriedly pick up her discarded pen.
She leaned her head on her palm, writing down the equations she was sure she wouldn't be able to finish before class ended. The heels of the teacher clicked against the floor, birds sang outside taunting Robin of the freedom she currently lacked and Christina whispered something to Lindsay two tables in front of Robin's, both girls giggling; yet the only sound Robin wanted to hear was the school's bell.
It's a little stupid, she knows it, waiting so eagerly just to see you as if she hadn't walked through the school's doors this morning with you by her side. But Robin never was the lucky one, she never had anyone before you and her little heart felt like jumping out of her chest every time she smelled the faint scent of your perfume on the hoodie.
It was so unmistakably yours that she could fool her mind into believing it was you hugging her. With light blue color, darker on the sleeves, and a dark silhouette of a cat on the front; you had given it to her this morning. Robin felt butterflies on her stomach upon thinking about the recent memory;
Your hands were warm, cupping Robin's cheeks and making the girl melt against you. "I can't believe you didn't bring an extra coat, it's almost winter Robin, come on." Your tone was half scolding but your smile was a lovesick one.
Robin took a step closer, her eyes darting down to your lips and if it wasn't for the school's student-filled parking lot she'd be kissing you now.
"I was in a rush, Steve was already waiting at my driveway and I didn't even have my pants on."
You chuckled, fingers brushing through Robin's fringe. You shrugged off your hoodie, confident that the wool sweater underneath would keep you warm. "Put this on."
"But, what about you?" Robin pouted, even if the warmth radiating from the soft fabric was tempting.
"I'll be fine, I'm not the one wearing only a thin long sleeve."
Once Robin had your hoodie snuggly around her, the comfort was instant. She was enveloped by the scent of you, wanting nothing more than to have you actually wrapping her up in your arms.
You tugged at the strings and pulled the hood over her head, your heart swelling with how adorable Robin looked. "Better?"
"Much." Robin breathed out, a ringed finger hooking around yours.
"Alright," bringing one hand up, you traced her bottom lip, "let's go then, lovergirl."
The bell finally rang, Robin all but threw her books inside her backpack and rushed out the door. You both agreed to meet up in the library for studying, but Robin suddenly had other plans.
She was running up to your classroom, dodging other students in the school's hallways before her eyes finally landed on your back. She grinned, and without so much of a warning grasped your wrist on one of her hands.
You turned around startled, feeling your body being yanked to the opposite direction you were walking to. "Robin! What-" you recognized the dirt blonde mop of hair that belonged to your girlfriend, but didn't have much time to question her.
The bathroom door opened forcefully, Robin dragging you inside with an eagerness that made laughter escape from you. It was empty, but just to be safe, you were gently pushed inside one of the stalls.
Robin had her back to you as she locked the door, and she had yet to say a word about what this was all about.
"Are you gonna fill me in here?" You raised an eyebrow even if she couldn't see it, letting go of your backpack and placing it on top of the closed toilet lid.
Robin's chest moved quickly with her breathing because of her running from before. She turned to face you, with parted lips and cheeks tainted pink, from the exertion or something else, you couldn't tell. All you knew is that she was absolutely breathtaking, and to prove your point, your lungs forgot how to function.
She dropped her backpack to the floor with no care, walking up to you with her hands already reaching out for you and a look in her eyes that made your knees weak.
Her movements were quick and desperate, as if she was drowning and you were her safe line, her breath of fresh air. Robin cupped your cheeks with both hands, her chest being flushed to yours and inevitably backing you up against the wall.
You only had time to clutch at the fabric of your hoodie around her waist before her lips were hungrily kissing yours. Robin pressed herself to you, no amount of closeness seeming to be enough for her. The kiss was passionate, yet somehow she still managed to be as gentle as ever; her tongue running along your bottom lip before you granted her entrance. One of your hands came up, fingers burying themselves into Robin's hair and you felt more than heard a low moan escaping her.
By the time you were forced to part, both of you were panting heavily. You refused to have more distance between you than necessary, noses bumping together and hands holding on to each other.
Robin's lips were swollen, her gaze was hazy and you had never seen a more beautiful sight.
"I've been wanting to do that since this morning." Robin's voice was an octave lower, the husky tone sending a shiver down your spine.
"Tell me about it." You grinned widely, sneaking a hand under the hoodie just so you could feel the skin of her lower back, just because you could. You felt goosebumps under your touch, Robin closed her eyes and you pulled her in again.
____
The door of Family Video opened with a ding, Robin walked in to start her shift for the day. Steve was already behind the counter, snacking on one of the sweets that stood on display beside him.
"Hey hair," Robin greeted her friend, turning the corner near the red neon sign on the wall to stand beside Steve. She opened her backpack, fishing for her work vest.
Steve chuckled, twirling a returned tape in his hands, "is there uh- is there something you wanna tell me?"
His words made Robin look at him with a deep frown, wondering what on earth he was referring to.
The smirk on Steve's face was knowingly teasing. "Cool hoodie, although I'm pretty sure I know someone who has the exact same one."
Robin crossed her arms over her chest, over your hoodie that she refused to take off; heat crept up her neck and she cursed the feeling. "I don't know what you're talking about."
"Sure you don't," Steve mumbled, a huge smile still present as he turned his back to Robin, focusing on stacking up the tapes on the counter.
Running a hand over the soft fabric of the sleeve, Robin smiled to herself, cheeks and heart warmer than ever.
She walked up beside Steve, not meeting his eyes and shifting on her feet. Her tone was adorably proud as she said; "she's stopping by later today."

❝ MEETING ROBIN BUCKLEY. ❞
↳ In which you flirt through your mutual friend, Steve.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Everything is all vividly coloured, with neon-coloured lights, water fountains, crowded tables and various children's rides, like the carousel and the Indiana Flyer. People are packing everywhere, all with brightly lit expressions stretching across their faces, following along with family and friends in huddles. The town of Hawkins is already a hellhole, with or without a new mall, and nothing can possibly change that.
Your eyes darted around, hoping to find the potential ice-cream shop you'd heard about. Your search quickly ends, once you see a brightly coloured store, with a red lettering sign reading: Scoops Ahoy!
You got to the store with unexpected difficulties, after pushing countless people out of the way and getting some foul words and looks in return. Already, you can hear some outstandingly cheesy sailor music playing loudly, making your nose scrunch up in disgust.
The interior is somehow worse. The walls are covered with blue, red and white striped wallpaper while seating booths are placed around the ice-cream parlour, red leathered and shiny. It was quite shocking to you that it was almost empty, since, Starcourt Mall had just opened. Logically, wouldn't people crowd around an ice-cream parlour on a summer morning?
You walked up to the counter to find Steve, a tall teenager your age, with styled hair and an ego too large for anyone to handle. You hit your hand on the bell that's on the corner of the front counter, causing Steve to bring his attention back to reality, rather than dozing off in his thoughts mid-task.
“Ahoy!” Steve greets from the register, not bothering to look up from whatever he had been occupied by.
“Wow, this place really complements the look." You taunted, smirking, when he finally spots you. The sailor theme is rather hilarious.
“Y/n?” Steve smiled, leaning on the counter as he takes you in, “What’re you doing here so early? My shift doesn't finish for hours.”
“I needed to kill some time,” You shrug, “I thought I'd pay my favourite sailor a visit.”
Steve puffs, opening his mouth to respond. But, before he can say anything, another voice pipes up from around the corner. It's raspy, laced with sarcasm.
“He’s only your favourite sailor because you haven’t met me yet," At the hatch behind Steve is a tall girl with broad shoulders, a tall figure and a careless posture. She has her hands placed on the further counter, while she starts twirling a black ring around her middle finger. She has black bracelets and a watch on one wrist, a spiked bracelet on the opposite. Both hands are painted with black nail polish, which shine in the light, presumably because they are newly painted. She was, like Steve, also dressed in a ridiculous uniform, which she somehow made look attractive. “I promise I’m much better company.”
“Well, you certainly look better in the uniform.” You look her up and down, chuckling, as she returns a flirtatious grin.
Steve looks pathetic as he starts running a hand down the front of his ludicrous smock, “I think I make this thing work pretty well for me.”
The girl scoffs, wide-eyed, “The loser board says otherwise, Dingus.” She calls, pointing at the whiteboard that's propping up next to her. The board is split in two: one side had, "You Rule!" written above it, and, the opposite side, "You Suck!". With no surprises, The 'You Rule!' side has no marks below it, whereas the other has a large amount of five drawn on.
You laugh at this, fingers tapping against the glass of the countertop, as you look at the board, then back to her, “Things can only go downhill when he’s forced to use words.”
She laughs with you briefly, then taps her name badge with her finger, "I'm Robin, in case you didn't know. Robin Buckley."
You raise your left eyebrow, "I do recall being in most of your classes, y'know. Just because I hang around with Steve doesn't mean I'm a complete moron."
Steve pouts from where he stands, arms crossing defiantly over his chest, “This is not a duo I'm here for at all. I think we should have a rule that you two are not allowed within thirty feet of each other."
“You always try to keep me away from the pretty ones." You roll your eyes, lips set into a smirk as she watch Robin’s cheeks turn a dark shade of strawberry red. For someone with such a tough attitude, she sure was easy to fluster.
“Yeah,” Steve agrees, “—I hate fighting for your attention. You make me feel like a fool when around ladies with you.”
“I'm sorry," You shrug your shoulders, "Must be a weakness of mine.” You breath a laugh once more, glancing over at Robin, who was already staring.
“Are you flirting with me through Steve right now?" Robin starts shaking her head in disbelief, "Is that what’s happening? — Because, if you are, I’m disappointed in myself that it’s working.”
Steve swiftly turns to you, “My charms have rubbed off on her! She's like a charm-sucking vampire. She’s the reason I can’t get any girls.” He rants, pausing with wide eyes as if he’d came to some great realization, “It all makes sense now...”
“The only thing I’ve gotten from being around you is brain damage.” You respond, with a playful eye roll.
Robin purses her lips and places a hand to her hip, feeling a surge of confidence, "If you want to ever flirt without proxy..." She pulls a black pen from her pocket, then holds out one of her soft hands to take one of yours. You slide yours into her palm without hesitation, both of you sharing a smile.
She quickly finishes scribbling her phone number to the back your hand, her warm fingers brushing across your skin. You feel a small shiver briefly down your spine, throwing you slightly off guard. Robin stands back with a pleased smile, "Call me?"
You smile softly, nodding your head, "Consider it already done."

I Want You to Want Me- Robin Buckley x Fem!Reader
Tumblr media
Summary: Ever since Robin came out to you, you haven’t been able to stop thinking about her. Words: 2.9k Warnings: SMUT 18+ (Minor dni), oral (f! recieving), fingering, slight dom! reader, language, mentions of homophobia
Author’s Note: I should probably be working on my Eddie fic but I had this idea and had to write it.
Ever since Robin had come out to you, you couldn’t stop thinking about her. It had been after being drugged by the Russians. Steve had confessed her feelings for her and she had told him that she liked girls, all while you had sat there in silence. You should’ve said something there and then. About however since you had started working at Scoops Ahoy you had thought she was the most beautiful girl you’d ever seen. About how the sailor uniform that would look ridiculous on anyway else looked so hot on her. Even if you could’ve told her that you also liked girls without admitting your feelings. But instead, you kept quiet, not even the drugs in your system making you admit your biggest secret. Now the two of you, alongside Steve, worked at the Family Video store and you spent every single shift trying to not stare too much at her. Your feelings for her were a million times stronger than they had been previously knowing that she also liked girls. You wanted to say something and it got harder to keep quiet every day but you couldn’t. She thought you liked boys and even if she knew you didn’t even know if she would like you. It was best if you kept quiet about your feelings. ‘Well, that was hilarious to watch.’ You laughed as another girl walked out of the store after rejecting Steve. ‘What’s that? The fifth this week?’ Robin laughed along with you. ‘Yeah, and it’s only Tuesday.’ You grabbed a couple of videos and walked over to the shelves, placing them out. ‘I don’t know why you two are laughing. You’re both even more hopeless than me. Besides, I have a date this evening.’ ‘Okay, first of all, we’re meant to be having a movie night at mine this evening. Second of all, why are you hitting on girls if you have a date?’ You spoke, jumping up to sit on the counter. ‘Keeping my options open and I’m afraid the two of you will have to spend time together without me.’ You were freaking out. You hadn’t been alone with Robin before, well not since you had found out she liked girls. ‘Oh, okay.’ Your voice came out higher than normal. ‘I don’t have to come over Y/N. I can reschedule if you want Steve there.’ God, if Robin could tell that you were freaked out with her ability to pick up on social cues then it must be obvious. ‘No, no it’s good.’ You nearly ran when you heard the door open and a customer came but Steve beat you, helping the customer first. ‘Are you sure you’re okay with hanging out alone with me?’ Robin asked. ‘Yeah, honestly, it’s totally cool.’ ‘You sure cause ever since the thing with the Russians you’ve been distant with me and I understand why. It’s uncomfortable for you to be around someone who likes girls. But I promise I won’t-‘ ‘Robin, no I promise that’s not it.’ You hated the idea that Robin thought you hated her for being gay. That was worse than anything else. You’d rather her know the truth than think you were disgusted by her. ‘Are you sure? Because you just seemed really freaked out by me.’ ‘Robin, I’m not. I really promise that I would never be grossed out by you.’ You jumped off the counter and placed your hand on her arm. ‘Look, we can discuss this at mine later. I’ll let you pick the movie, we can even watch one of those artsy foreign films you like. And I’ll pay for snacks.’ ‘Yeah. That sounds good.’
You left 10 minutes before your shift ended to go get snacks for you and Robin. You grabbed a bunch of different stuff, making sure to grab both your's and Robin’s favourite snacks. You walked back over to Family Video as Robin and Steve were locking up. ‘I got all the good snacks. So what film did you pick?’ You asked walking over, holding up the grocery bag. ‘Suspiria. I figured I’d pick something we’d both like.’ ‘A mix of artsy and horror. Perfect.’ It was true that it was perfect for the two of you. You loved horror films whereas Robin loved arthouse cinema and you felt like any film that combined the two was practically made for the two of you. It was just an added plus that Suspiria was one of your favourite films. You walked over to your car which was parked next to Steve’s and opened the passenger door for Robin. ‘See you tomorrow, Steve. Don’t completely fuck up your date.’ Robin said climbing into the car. ‘Yeah, I won’t. Have fun you two.’
The car journey was completely silent, both you and Robin thinking about the conversation that the two of you were going to have. Should you tell her the full truth? Or would it just be easier to tell her that you also liked girls and leave it at that? Then again that wouldn’t explain why were avoiding her. Maybe you could just avoid the conversation altogether and watch the film and pretend like everything was okay. You pulled up in front of your house and jumped out of the car, grabbing the grocery bag from the back seat. You unlocked the door and walked inside, holding the door open for Robin. ‘My parents are out for the night so we can use the TV in the lounge.’ You walked through to the lounge and indicated for Robin to sit on the couch while you put the film in the VHS player. ‘Y/N.’ Robin said, the tone of her voice apprehensive. ‘Yeah.’ You turned around from the TV to look at her. She had taken off her jacket and work tie and she looked absolutely beautiful, perched on your couch with her legs crossed. ‘You said you were going to tell me what’s going on. And I just want to know what’s going on. I felt like we were becoming close friends and then you suddenly started acting weird. And you say it’s not because I’m gay but I can’t think of any other reason you’d be acting this way.’ Robin was rambling now and you felt guilty that you had caused her this much distress. You stood up and walked over to her. You sat next to her and took her hands into your own. ‘Robin. I’m sorry that I’ve been avoiding you. It’s nothing to do with you, I’ve just had a lot on my mind and it’s been throwing me through a loop. I just- I guess I.’ You sighed and let go of Robin’s hands, turning around so you weren’t facing her. ‘What are you doing?’ Robin asked, laughing slightly. ‘I just can’t look at you while I say this.’ You took a deep breath and started to speak. ‘The reason I’ve been acting weird since we were drugged is because of what you said, but it’s not because I think it’s disgusting. It’s because I’m the same. I also like girls and I’ve never told anyone because I was afraid, I am afraid. But that’s not the only reason I acted weird around you. It was because I don’t just like girls, I like one specific girl. She’s so smart, like incredibly smart. And she’s funny and she likes these movies that make no sense but I would watch them a million times just to spend time with her. And she’s so beautiful even in that stupid sailor’s uniform that she had to wear. Ever since the first time I saw her in it I wanted to kiss her and be with her but I didn’t think it would ever happen.’ You stopped speaking, still not turning round to look at her. You just stared ahead at the wall until you felt a hand on your shoulder. ‘Y/N, can you look at me?’ You turned around and faced Robin who had tears in her eyes. ‘Robin, I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have said anything. I didn’t mean to make you cry.’ You panicked, you thought maybe she might reject you but you didn’t think she’d cry. ‘Y/N, I’m crying cause I’m happy. I thought you were avoiding me because you hated me and I didn’t want you hating me because I like you. A lot.’ ‘You like me?’ You smiled. You couldn’t believe that Robin actually liked you. ‘Yeah. I mean you’re cool and funny and you listen to amazing music. Not to mention how beautiful you are, your hair, your eyes.’ You couldn’t take it anymore. Robin was so close to you and she looked so perfect so you leant over and kissed her. You felt her kiss back and butterflies erupted in your stomach at how soft her lips were. She wrapped her hands around your neck pulling you on top of her as she lay flat on the couch. You slid your hand under her shirt leaving it on the smooth skin of her hip. You pulled away from her slightly, moving your lips to her neck and leaving small kisses all over. ‘That tickles.’ She laughed her voice coming out raspy. ‘Sorry, you’re just so beautiful.’ You said kissing her lightly on the mouth. You moved your hands up to her shirt. ‘Is this alright?’ She nodded slightly and you started unbuttoning her shirt. You leaned down, kissing her, sliding your tongue into her mouth as you continued to undo the buttons on her shirt. Once you reached the last button you moved your hands back up to her breasts, squeezing them through her bra. You felt her hands move down and grab your ass. You moved your hips, grinding slightly on the leg that was between yours, the friction causing you to moan. Robin moved her hands up, pulling your shirt up. You disconnected your lips for a moment as she pulled your shirt over your head. You reached your hands back and undid your bra throwing it on the floor. ‘Wow.’ She said looking down at your bare breasts. You felt yourself blush under her gaze and moved your head down to kiss in between her breasts. You heard her lightly moan as you moved your mouth over, kissing all around where her bra sat. You pushed your leg up, moving it against her clothed pussy. The movement caused some relief for you as your own cunt ground against her leg. You pulled the cup of her bra down and moved your mouth to her nipple, flicking it with your tongue before taking it into your mouth. Robin’s moans spurred you on, the sound making you want to keep pleasuring her. ‘You sound so perfect, baby’ You removed your mouth from her breast and kissed her stomach resting your head there while you undid her jeans. ‘Lift up your hips.’ She did as you asked and you pulled down both her trousers and underwear leaving her completely bare in front of you. You moved your hand down, kissing her stomach again and you run your hand over her pussy, feeling how wet she was. ‘Is this all for me?’ You asked, moving your fingers up to your mouth, tasting Robin on them. ‘Yes.’ She let out a breathy moan, watching you as you sucked on your fingers. You moved your head back up, leaning down to kiss Robin, her juices still on your tongue. Your hand snaked down her stomach, moving to rub her clit. She let out a loud moan against your mouth causing you to smile and you moved your hand in circles. You felt her moving her hips against your hand, begging for more. ‘Tell me what you want, baby.’ You mumbled against her lips, continuing to move your fingers. ‘Y/N.’ She moaned, her head leaning back against the pillow being you. You moved your lips down to her exposed neck, biting down lightly, before sucking gently. You stop moving your hand, leaving it completely still against her. ‘I’m not going to continue if you don’t tell me what you want.’ She groaned slightly, her hips rubbing against your hand. ‘I want your fingers.’ She moaned out. ‘Where do you want them, Robin?’ You moved your hand that wasn’t on her pussy to her breast, squeezing and pinching her nipple. ‘Inside me, please.’ She begged you and you obliged, slipping one finger inside her causing her to moan loudly. You moved your finger in and out adding another one as you felt her walls clench around you. You curled your fingers inside her as you continued to move them. ‘I love the feeling of your pussy, babe.’ You told her, gaining a moan in response. You moved your thumb up to play with clit, flicking it lightly as your finger continued to move in and out of her. You pushed yourself against her leg, needing some release of your own. Watching Robin underneath you, her head thrown back, her mouth open in pleasure, it was better than anything you’d ever seen. She was absolutely perfect. You continued to kiss all over her neck and breasts as you felt her hands dig into your thighs, gripping the fabric of your jeans. You could tell she was close as you kept moving your hand at a steady pace. ‘Are you going to cum for me, baby?’ You asked her. She nodded and you moved her lips to hers kissing her furiously. You felt her legs shake slightly under you as she clenched around your fingers. She threw her head back in a loud moan and came all over your hand. You slowed your pace down, still moving your hand as she came down from her orgasm. You pulled your fingers out of her as she shook beneath you breathing heavily. You moved your fingers into your mouth, tasting her properly this time, moaning at the taste on your tongue. ‘That was amazing.’ She whispered, pulling you down to her and kissing you. ‘Sit up.’ She told you. You followed her instructions, sitting up on the couch. She pulled herself out from underneath you, kneeling in front of you on the floor. ‘What are you doing?’ You asked looking down at her. ‘Repaying the favour.’ She grabbed your legs and pulled you towards the edge of the couch. She kissed your thighs lightly, undoing your jeans as she moved her head up. She gripped the edge of your jeans and you lifted your hips up slightly as she pulled them down, leaving you in just your underwear. She kissed you lightly on your cunt through your underwear causing you to moan at the feeling. You could feel how wet you were and all you wanted was for her to touch you more. She placed some more kisses on you through your underwear before sucking slightly, taking your underwear into your mouth. ‘Fuck. Robin please.’ You breathed, wanting more. She grabbed your underwear, pulling them down, not giving you a chance to think before she licked all the way up your pussy. You groaned, moving your hands down to her hair. You lifted your legs up and placed them on her shoulders. She kept licking at you before moving her mouth to suck on your clit. The sensation caused your eyes to roll back in your head. She knew exactly what to do to make you feel good. You felt one of her hands which was on your leg move towards your cunt, two of her fingers pushing inside you. You let out a loud moan, the feeling of her sucking on your clit while her fingers were inside her was too much. You pulled even harder on Robin’s hair as you felt the feeling of your orgasm building inside you. ‘Robin.’ You moaned, tugging at her hair. She moved her fingers in and out of you at a fast pace, while her mouth sucked on your clit. You moved one of the hands that were in her hair to the hand that wasn’t inside you intertwining your fingers. You felt your orgasm wash over you, gripping her hand tightly and screaming her name. Your chest moved up and down as you took deep breaths, still not letting go of Robin’s hand. She pressed light kisses to your thighs as she removed her hand from you. She pulled herself up off the floor, lying down on the couch. You moved on top of her, resting your head on her breasts. You interlaced your fingers with hers as you felt her other hand start to play with your hair. You felt yourself getting sleepy as you cuddled up against her and fought to keep your eyes open. ‘As cute as you look right now. I don’t think your parents would appreciate coming home to find you naked on the couch with a girl.’ Robin mumbled. ‘Not my fault you’re so comfortable.’ You mumbled with your eyes still closed, not wanting to move. ‘Babe, you have to get up. We can cuddle once we’re dressed.’ ‘Fine. You whined, but I’m holding to that.’ You sat up stretching out. ‘On one condition though.’ ‘And what is that?’ She said gathering her clothes up off the floor. ‘You agree to be my girlfriend.’ You smiled at her. ‘I think I can live that.’ Robin said leaning over to kiss you.

note. think i got a little carried away looool
oh, robin is most definitely a boob gf. she always has her eyes on your breasts even when she told herself countless of times to look away. it’s just so fucking distracting. her cheeks get darker when her gaze accidentally falls down to your breasts while you talk, even more so when you’re not wearing a bra. “eyes up, robbie.” you always say, smirking at her. and she blinks, following your orders like a puppy, then after a few moments, her eyes are on them once again. she can’t help it. it has her speechless and she practically malfunctions. like her fast brain stops working for as long as she stares. she can no longer speak in full sentences without stuttering. she tries hard to remain composed, but she’s not exactly good at hiding it either; her jaw slacks, her eyes linger as long as she wanted until you get her focus back up again, and steve doesn’t even fail to notice whenever he’s around and endlessly makes fun of her for it. but she doesn’t care.
“can i touch you?” was always a frequent question she would ask whenever the two of you were alone. robin absolutely loves it when you come close, sometimes when you’re studying together, when you’re leaning over her to see her paper and the curve of your tits just squishes up against her arm, because they’re so soft and warm; she just freezes and she can’t even think straight anymore. one of her favorite positions is when she’s sitting down while you stand between her legs with her arms around you, holding you close and presses her face directly in the valley of your breasts. she especially loves it when she hugs you from behind, spooning you, or when your sitting in her lap, so she has easy access to your boobs, hands fondling with them as she presses soft kisses to the back or side of your neck or behind your ear. and after a long hard day, robin becomes the happiest girl in the world when she can rest her head on your plush chest, nuzzling her nose into you, shoving her face against your shirt, always cupping your tits with her large hands until she falls asleep. she squeezes, not too gently but not too hard either, just right.
and if she’s feeling needy, and she gets very needy, she’ll squeeze them with more pressure, rolling her fingertips over your hardened nipple to elicit the most delicious moan from you. “ugh, baby–i can’t— please, i need to touch you…” and you never deny her. sometimes, your boobs would get sore from how long she had been playing with them. and please let her suck on them. poor baby is practically drooling every time she sees them. she’s eager to shove them in her mouth, leaving hickeys all over, just for her to see. and whenever she goes down on you, or has her long fingers deep inside of you, she always stares. her eyes are practically on your chest most of the time during sex. robin never misses a chance to tell you how beautiful you look, watching your tits bounce and jiggle as you jerk and twitch against the bed. she just ogles at them, distracted every single fucking time, no matter where you two were. ˚⁎⁺˳ .

♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡
It was January 2nd of 1986.
You had just moved to a small town named Hawkins, and were looking for a fresh start, after your parents had kicked you out.
You were exiled from the family, after mom and dad came home earlier than you expected, and walked in to see you sitting on the couch with another girl.
Normally, this would not have bothered them. Except this time, they came in to see you kissing a girl on the lips.
You had told them that you two were just practicing for when you'll kiss a boy, but they saw right through your facade. Them being very religious, they felt they had no choice but to send you packing. They had given you enough money to pay for one month of housing, but that was it. They told you that they loved you, but you needed to leave and never contact them again. So you got in your beat up car, and drove until you were able to find a cheap apartment in a small town.
Now you needed to find a job in order to keep that housing.
You found that job at Family Video. And you also found your co workers Robin and Steve.
They welcomed you with open arms. The three of you became good friends within a span of a few months. Steve was funny, charming and made work much more bearable. Robin was unique, quick-witted and a great conversationalist. Despite her claims of never being able to shut up, you loved that about her, because you related to that. This friendship with them both turned into movie nights at your place frequently, the three of you poking fun at each other, throwing popcorn, laughing and sometimes drinking or smoking the night away, and sometimes these nights would turn into sleepovers. You had found a new family.
There was just one thing you couldn't tell them, one thing you kept to yourself, because you couldn't bear the possibility of being criticized and thrown away again.
The fact that you loved girls... romantically.
I mean, how could you not? With their beautiful, supple lips, smooth skin, long eyelashes, all the curves of their bodies, how they smell so sweet like candy and flowers, and how gentle and soft their touch is. You had never been in bed with one of these angelic, goddess like women before. But you were sure of yourself, you had been ever since you were a child, even with your upbringing.
But there was something else about you too.
You also loved boys just as much. Their kisses feeling more rough, but nevertheless passionate, how romantic and charming they can be, feeling so safe and secure with them. Their big, strong arms, the curves of their muscles, and their goofy smiles. What's not to love?
As open minded and welcoming as Robin and Steve seemed to be, you couldn't risk telling them, only for your life to fall apart all over again. You hated the thought of Robin being disgusted by you, no longer wanting to be in your presence, and you didn't like the thought of Steve thinking the same, and with his infamous experience with women in Hawkins, possibly fetishizing you.
And so you kept your secret with you, even after everything you'd all gone through. From the moment that Dustin and Max slid over the counter in a panic, learning from word of mouth and then firsthand experience what the Upside Down is, swimming into Lovers Lake to save Steve's ass, you and Eddie nearly succumbing to your injuries after you attempted to take down a swarm of Demobats, defeating Vecna, the town being destroyed by the "earthquake"... through all of it, you still didn't tell anyone about your sexuality.
The experience was traumatizing to say the least, but it did bring you all closer than you could have ever imagined or hoped for. Especially closer with Steve and Robin.
Which was not particularly a good thing in your mind.
Because you had developed romantic feelings for them both.
It happened when Robin jumped into the water after Steve was yanked down into Lover's Lake. You'd never seen such a beautiful act of bravery. It happened when Steve bit the bat that was choking him, spitting out it's blood. You'd never seen anything so fearless in your life. It happened when Robin held you tight when the Upside Down began to shake. You'd never had someone hold you in a way that made you feel so safe. It happened when Steve ripped off a fabric of his clothing to stop the heavy bleeding from your wounds after you'd fought the bats with Eddie. It happened when Robin would cook you meals and bring them to your apartment while you recovered in bed. It happened when the both of them spent the majority of their free time at the comfort of your home, trying to cheer you up and make sure your injuries were healing properly.
These feelings amplified even more when they both gave you the affectionate nickname "Bee", after you had been stung by one on your thigh over the summer and overly freaked out about it. You told them it had to have been a wasp, because it hurt so much! But they just laughed and continued to call you Bee, saying it was your fault for always wearing ripped jeans everyday, jokingly, of course.
And then you realized that the feelings you had for them didn't just spontaneously come up in the Upside Down.
Your adoration for them started when you began working at Family Video. But you had pushed those feelings aside, knowing that there was no way you could ever reveal yourself and risk destroying their wonderful friendship.
It's just that you couldn't help it. Steve is so devilishly handsome, helpful, selfless and endearing. And god, not to mention his gorgeous hair.
And Robin... she's so dorky, you could die of cuteness. The way she looked so beautiful no matter if she wore her hair up or down. So effortlessly funny and empathic. And those lips and smile... Damn it.
You felt so ashamed of yourself. Not for being... different. But because you had fallen for two people at the same time, and it just wasn't fair to them. So you never told them how you felt, not only because you didn't want to be outcasted, but because they're best friends.
Little did you know, ever since Steve and Robin first saw you walk into Family Video, they both immediately held a soft spot for you in their heart. They would playfully argue with each other about who you were into. Of course, neither of them thought they had a chance, but the way you hugged Steve, a little longer than a platonic friend would, and the way you would ruffle and play with his hair, made him wonder. And the way you dressed, not so feminine, but not exactly in a masculine way either, more like a tomboy with a pretty face and gorgeous hair, and the way you would hold a gaze with Robin, a little longer than a normal person would, made her wonder, too.
Nevertheless, you were a bit hard to read, the both of them would joke about it when you weren't around, but never taking it too seriously, and never making a move, just happy, and grateful, to be friends with you.
Especially on Robin's part, because she never told you her secret either. The only one who knew, was Steve.
This would soon all change.
♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡
7 months after the events that took place, Hawkins working tirelessly to rebuild their community, you were driving home from work after a shift at Family Video that you had worked alone. You shivered, your nose and cheeks red and freezing, as you attempted to turn the heater on in your car, to no avail.
I don't know why I try, shit hasn't worked since I moved here.
Now that it was the middle of October, the chill in the air had begun to set in. You didn't mind too much though, you in fact liked the cold much better than the sweltering heat in the summer of Indiana.
Today was also your birthday, something you normally dreaded. All of your previous birthdays were hell, no pun intended. You were only ever given a new Bible every year as a present from your parents, and you weren't allowed to have sleepovers, even on your special day, and you were also never allowed to blow out a candle after being sung Happy Birthday, your mom claiming it was witchcraft to do so.
Absolute hypocrisy.
But tonight was going to be much better. You were planning on ordering a couple pizzas, relaxing and watching Labyrinth with Robin and Steve. You had already seen the movie, given where you work, but it's your favorite one by far. David Bowie and Jennifer Connelly are absolute works of art.
You parked your car and got out, still shivering, when you looked up and noticed in the window of your apartment, the lights were on. This was peculiar, as you never kept them on when you left. And just as quickly as you noticed the light was on, the light turned off. You immediately became worried, frightened even, and opened the trunk of your car to grab your crowbar.
You weren't going to go down without a fight. You'd been through too much already.
You crept your way up the stairs, leading to your door on the second floor of the building. You crept below the front window, not wanting whoever- or whatever- was in your house to see you. Your front door was opened slightly ajar. You took a deep breath, held up your weapon ready for attack, and kicked the door open. You saw some shadowy figures and just as you began to lunge for them, your light was flipped back on.
"SURPRISE!" They all shouted in unison.
You dropped the crowbar in shock.
Everyone was there. Everyone. Steve, Robin, Eddie, Nancy, Jonathan, Dustin, Max, Lucas, Will, El, Mike, everyone. The room was decorated by balloons and streamers in all your favorite colors, pizza and beers already in tow, and a big chocolate cake lay on the kitchen counter that said "Happy Birthday, Bee!"
As soon as they yelled, everyone slightly flinched at your near attack on them, Dustin being the exception, who screamed dramatically and fell backwards.
Everyone laughed and Eddie went to pick up the poor kid.
Robin ran up to you excitedly, grabbed your fists, and said, "It's a surprise party! For your birthday!" You chuckled a bit. "Yeah, I noticed that."
Steve came up to you and wrapped you in a big hug. "Happy birthday, Bee. I almost thought you were gonna smash my face in for a second!" You smiled against his chest. He smelled like cedarwood and eucalyptus. "Yeah, I thought I was going to, too! Thank you." You let go of each other and smiled at him. You looked over to Robin, grinned, and gave her a big hug too. She was all dressed up, in her own Robin way. She looked so damn beautiful.
As everyone behind them chatted amongst themselves, you raised your voice, "So, who's idea was it to throw me a surprise party, anyways?" Dustin caught your eye, raised his eyebrows and pointed directly at the pair next to you. "We did!" Robin announced. Steve chimed in, "Yeah, we've been planning it for a couple weeks now, that's why you worked by yourself today. We've been here, setting up everything."
Robin rolled her eyes and punched his shoulder playfully. "I blew up the balloons. He practically did nothing." Steve gave her a dirty look. "Hey, that's not true, I bought the cake! Anyways, we wanted to do this for you, because we know that your birthdays have always sucked, and we just wanted to make sure you had a good one this time, so-"
Steve stopped when he noticed tears threatening to spill down your face. Robin looked at you concerned, and held your hands in hers again. "I'm so sorry, Bee, we didn't mean to scare you, maybe we shouldn't have done this, I mean there are people that don't like surprise parties, we can all leave right now, I'm really sorry-"
"Sh." You smiled and looked into her eyes with the most amount of gratefulness, and gave the same glance to Steve. "This is better than anything I could have ever hoped for. Thank you both. So much. So so much." You pulled them in for a tight hug.
"Hey, birthday girl is crying!" Eddie announced. Everyone began to gather to where the three of you were, and started a massive giant group hug. You laughed and enjoyed the warm embrace.
An hour or so had passed, everyone eating pizza, laughing, listening to music and drinking beer, Steve smacking Dustin's hand when he attempted to grab one. Nancy and Jonathan, El and Mike, Lucas and Max all cuddled up on the couch.
"Cake time!" Robin announced. You felt a little nervous pit in your stomach, but you approached the kitchen counter.
Eddie lit the big, sparkly candle with his lighter. "One, two, three..." everyone began to sing Happy Birthday to you in unison. You didn't know what to do with yourself, shuffling your feet, smiling cheesy at everybody. You must have zoned out by the end of it, because a gentle but heavy hand placed itself on your shoulder. "It's time to make a wish." Steve whispered to you, just inches from your face. You didn't know if it was him or the candle that made your face feel hot. You looked over at Robin standing beside you, and she gave you a reassuring smile and squeezed your hand. You faced the candle, closed your eyes tightly, made a wish, and blew the candle out. Everyone cheered for you. It had to be the best feeling in the world.
Everyone lingered around for another couple hours, before it got a little quiet, the party starting to die down. Seeing as Steve, Robin and yourself had a few beers, Nancy, Jonathan and Eddie rounded up the younger bunch of the group to take them home. You thanked them. Nancy came up and gave you a hug before she walked out. "Happy Birthday." She said with a smile, and left.
Once everyone else was gone, you turned around to face Steve and Robin, sitting next to each other on the couch. "Looks like I'm stuck with you two, again." You rolled your eyes playfully. They both smiled and motioned for you to come sit on the couch between them. You obliged and once you sat down, Steve grabbed your waist and tickled you a bit, making you squeal. Robin gave him a look that said, 'wow, really?', but you hadn't noticed.
She began to talk. "So, we know that you said no presents, but..." you raised your eyebrow at her and she shushed you. "BUT... we both decided to chip in and just get you a small little something." You smiled and glanced over at Steve, him smiling back and giving you a little nod, his arm over your shoulder. Robin pulled a small little box out of her pocket and handed it to you. "You guys shouldn't have..." Steve gave you an excited look, "Come on, open it!"
Robin placed her hand on your leg as you took off the top of the box. You gasped.
It was a necklace. But not any regular necklace. It was a silver necklace, with a pendant of a bumblebee.
"Do you get it?" Robin asked enthusiastically. "Because that's your nickname! It's a bee!"
"Oh my god, you guys.. this is amazing." You gave each of them a tight, long, swaying hug. Robin took the necklace out of the box, and Steve smoothed your hair and pulled it up a bit, so she could put the necklace around you and clasp it.
A wash of sadness, and a bit of guilt came over you. You thumbed at the necklace, eyes watering again.
Steve interrupted your thoughts, "What's wrong, Bee?"
They must have noticed the look on your face. You shook your head and smiled again. "Nothing, it's just the nicest thing anyone's ever done for me. Thank you guys. So, so much. For everything.
Steve grinned ear to ear. "Alright, now... how's about that movie?" He looked at Robin and she nodded.
The three of you spent the rest of the evening watching Labyrinth, drinking more beers, laughing at the ridiculous characters, shoving each other playfully when Bowie sang "Magic Dance", aiming popcorn into each other's mouths, curled up on the couch with fuzzy blankets. As the end of the movie neared, the realization came into your mind again.
You were in love with both of them. And there was nothing you could do about it except keep pretending you don't, forever.
When the credits rolled, you stood up from the couch and fake yawned, declaring, "I'm whooped. I think I'm gonna go hit the hay now."
They both agreed that it was time for bed. As Steve laid down on your couch with a blanket and pillow, Robin began to follow you into your bedroom. You gave her an alarming look.
"What's wrong Bee?" Her sweet raspy voice, god how it melted you. You remembered that when you have sleepovers, the two of you usually share a bed, sometimes Steve, on occasion.
"Oh nothing, it's just that, if you sleep with me in my bed tonight, it'll be kinda hot-" you stopped yourself midsentence. "I mean, since we've been drinking and such, I think we'll get all hot and sweaty, ya know, body heat..." She scrunched her face into a confused look, but accepted your answer. "Okay..." she dragged the word out. "Where should I sleep then?"
"You can sleep in the guest bedroom tonight. It's got nice, clean new sheets. It'll be comfy, I promise."
"Okay, well, goodnight Bee."
"Goodnight."
And with that, she headed off to the guest bedroom, her bag of clothes for the next day in hand.
You looked over at Steve. He looked a little confused as well.
"Goodnight Steve."
"Sleep tight, Bee."
And with that, you headed into your room and gently shut the door. You laid on your bed, holding onto a pillow as you stared at the wall. You thumbed the little bee necklace a bit, before you put your pillow over your face and quietly cried into it. You had the most wonderful day, maybe in your whole life, but you couldn't help but let the tears stream down your cheeks, thinking about what you had to hide from the both of them. Not only your romantic feelings towards the both of them that you felt equally, but your own sexuality. Once you felt you had no more tears to cry, you sighed deeply, and fell asleep.
♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡
2 weeks had gone by since your birthday, and it was now the day before Halloween. You could feel the spooky excitement in the air, especially with all the customers coming in to Family Video to rent some horror and slasher films, shaking your head with a grin when children would rent Friday the 13th, knowing they would soon regret it. You and your two best friends had spent the last week working on your costumes together, extremely excited to celebrate the holiday as you had never been able to before because of your upbringing. Unfortunately, Eddie declined to join in on the fun, as he said Halloween was a "big selling" night for him.
With Robin having the day off, Steve and yourself were in the last hour of your shift. He was at the front of the store, putting up some silly pumpkin and ghost stickers in the windows, along with a "Closed 4 Halloween!!" sign with some not so impressive handwriting. Thankfully, Keith loved Halloween and was happy to close the store for the holiday.
You were behind the desk, organizing some tapes. You couldn't help but to look at Steve get frustrated with the stickers, cursing and murmuring to himself as he ran his fingers through his hair. You silently giggled to yourself at his dilemma, he was adorable when agitated, and damn, did he look good with his back towards you as much as the front. You couldn't help but to feel a flutter in your stomach, and heat rising to your cheeks...
Stop it.
As Steve finished up with his decorations and you finished up with organizing some tapes, you walked to the side of the store to restock some new arrivals, preparing for when Family Video was open again on the 1st.
As you tried your best to reach on your tippy toes to stock a new tape, you were about to jump to try to get it on the top shelf, when you heard a gentle voice behind you.
"Hey, let me get that for you."
Steve grabbed the tape from you as you turned around to face him. He placed it in its correct spot on the shelf effortlessly. When he was reaching over you, you couldn't help but to stare at the length of his bare neck, him being only inches in front of you. Your heart skipped a beat, and you forgot to breathe for a moment.
Steve must have noticed you staring at him for a bit too long, your cheeks beginning to get a rosy flush to them. "Hey, Bee... is uh... is everything okay?"
You shook out of your trance like state, feeling embarrassed, but quickly came up with a rebuttal, "Oh yeah, I'm fine, it's just that I definitely could have done that by myself, eventually." You gave him a high and mighty, but playful look.
He chuckled a bit, "Yeah, maybe if you grabbed a ladder."
You rolled your eyes and gave a cheeky smile, "Whatever Steve, I totally could have done it, even without a ladder." You gave him a teasing, but light shove to his shoulder. Your giggling stopped when you looked at him in his eyes again.
He was staring at your face, full on staring, with a slight purse to his lips. You attempted to put a more serious look on your face, but it ended up looking more dreamy as you gazed in his eyes, memorizing all the details of his face.
This went on for what seemed like an eternity, but was more like ten seconds, before you broke out of the trance and cleared your throat, "So, um... anyways, um... tomorrow is gonna be really fun!" You smiled sheepishly.
Steve took an awkward step back from you, chuckling nervously while running his hand through his stupid, glorious hair, breaking eye contact and looking at the floor, "Yeah, yeah! No, um- yeah, it's gonna be great! I can't wait until we all see each other in our costumes."
You, too, looked at the floor and, with a timid babble, continued to fill the awkward tension between you two. "Yeah, we've been really working hard on them, and it'll be fun to see the kids you just love to babysit, going around trick or treating."
Steve smiled, thinking of his beloved 'children'. "Yeah, I assume at least half of them will be going as Ghostbusters again."
"Yep... it's definitely their favorite movie, and knowing Eddie, he'll probably dress up as some D&D character... or something nerdy like that while he's out selling." You exhaled deeply, loudly at the end of your sentence, as if you'd forgotten how to breathe again.
He gave you an awkward, and possibly even disappointed half smile. He couldn't think of anything to say back, and neither could you, as you continued to stare at the floor and shuffle your feet for a moment. The tension in the air was so thick, you could cut it with a knife, a stomach full of nervousness and desire that you desperately wanted to go away, but at the same time, you liked a little too much.
Steve broke the heavy silence. "So um, it's 8:00 now, time to close up." He looked at the door. You gave a quiet "Okay." with a small crack in your voice.
You headed down to the breakroom to gather your belongings and head home, trying to think of anything other than your feelings for both Steve and Robin, while he turned off the lights and flipped the 'Open' sign over to 'Closed', and locked the door.
You grabbed your bag, filled with little things any girl would have- chapstick, hand lotion, a small roller of perfume, your keys. You fumbled around in it to pull the latter out, and as you turned around, he was standing right in front of you.
Steve was standing right in front of you. Merely inches away. You looked up at him, surprised, your face getting hot by the second from his sudden closeness.
"So... you really do like that necklace we got you?"
You grabbed the pendant with your thumb and index finger and rubbed it.
"Yeah, no, I really do. I've worn it everyday since." You smiled at him gratefully, but still feeling confused as to what was going on.
"Yeah, yeah, I can tell.. I'm glad you really like it. It looks really... good on you." He stuttered between his words, taking in short inhales. His cheeks were turning a dark pink. Yours were too, you could feel it, yet still tried your best to ignore it.
"Well... thank you." You gave him a small smile of appreciation, and couldn't help but to lean back against the table a bit, an involuntary reaction of the close distance between you two.
Steve looked around the room anxiously, and said in a voice a little louder than before, "Hey, so, um... I have to tell you something." He ran his hand through his hair again, in some kind of attempt to soothe himself.
You pursed your lips and gulped, him waiting for a response so he could continue. "Okay."
He sighed, staring away at a wall for half the statement, before eventually turning his eyes over to look in yours. "So, I've been feeling... having some feelings for you. For a while now. And I haven't been able to tell if you've been feeling the same way about me, you're a little unreadable sometimes- which is fine! It's totally okay. It's just that I told..." He paused. "A friend of ours how I felt. And she- er, they, told me to stop being a wuss, and tell you how I feel." He continued to ramble and stumble on his words. "And I want you to know, that if you don't feel the same, that it's totally okay! Totally fine, we could always stay friends no matter what, that's something I'd never wanna ruin, because, we've just been through a lot together, you know? Like, all of us." He paused for a moment to look at your reaction, get a response, whether it was acceptance, rejection, (which he felt like would be a dagger in the heart, but he would do his best to hide it) anything. He just needed some type of reponse to what he confessed to you.
And the way that he had confessed to you, it felt like he had been saving it up for, who knows how long, and sounded very rehearsed, despite the skittish way he spoke to you.
You looked down on the floor, and smiled a bit, through you were trying hard not to, contemplating what you could manage out with words.
"So, this... friend. Was this friend Robin? The one who told you to tell me all this?" You focused on his face again. His way too pretty face.
He let out a shaky, breathy laugh. "Yeah, yeah, it was. Been telling me for a while now." He stopped for a moment before continuing.
"So, uh, everything I just told you, how do you feel about it?" He stretched the last few words.
You didn't know what to say. You went inside your own mind for a moment, thinking about Robin, how she told Steve to confess the way he felt about you. It hurt your heart for a moment, but at the same time, there he was, right in front of you, reciprocating feelings you were to oblivious to know he had.
You continued to lean back into the table, but gazed at him through half-lidded, dreamy eyes, face now cherry red in adoration. And he was noticing the way you were looking at him, too.
He took a small step forward, gazing into your face the same way. When you gave no body language of hesitation, he took another step forward, until he was leaning down, looking into your hazed eyes. You couldn't help but to break contact, but only to slowly look at his lips. They looked hungry. And they looked like they would fit perfectly against yours. You looked back into his eyes, only to catch him focusing on your lips too. He looked up into your eyes again, pupils dilated. And he decided that the way you were looking at him, was enough permission.
Steve made the first move.
He leaned in, gently pressing his mouth onto yours, one hand on the table you were leaning on, and another cradling the side of your face. You returned the kiss as quickly as he gave it, turning it into a long, strung out embrace, before he pulled back to get a look at your face.
"You're so pretty, Bee. You know that?" He whispered into your mouth.
"Steve..."
He kissed you again, again, and again, before both of your hands were holding his face, one of his still on yours, and the other one smoothing down your back. He slid his tongue along your bottom lip, asking for entrance, to which you obliged. He licked into your mouth, your tongue now dancing with his, in perfect, so perfect sync.
The kisses were beginning to get faster, sloppier, more desperate after each and every one. You couldn't help but squeeze your thighs together after he put a leg between them. He began to suck on your bottom lip, gaining a whimper from you. The both of you were feeling hotter and hotter by the second, an ache deep down low, when you abruptly broke the kiss, taking in a deep, loud inhale.
"Steve," you panted, "I have to tell you something."
He was breathing heavily too. "Yeah? What is it? You okay?"
"Well, yes... and no."
He gave you a confused look, and pulled back from you to let you speak.
"Steve, I really have to tell you something. Something big. And I just... I really hope you don't hate me for it." Your voice cracked, filled with guilt.
"Well... what is it?" He looked a little worried, thinking perhaps you had a boyfriend you never told him about.
"So, there's something about me that's different. That absolutely no one knows."
He nodded eagerly, "Well, go on, tell me! We've been through actual hell and back, you can tell me anything." He smiled.
"Okay, um..." you fumbled with your necklace again. "So obviously, I really like boys..."
He nodded again, facial expression motioning for you to continue.
"I really like girls too Steve." You immediately looked away from him, tears at the corners of your eyes, absolutely terrified of his reaction.
"Really?"
You nodded and continued to look away from him.
"That's it?"
You snapped your face forward to look at him in shock, wide-eyed.
He chuckled a bit. "That's okay! That's fine! That's great! I have a friend, um, well I know a girl that's into girls too. But honey, honey," he leaned forward and grabbed your face, looked into your still bewildered eyes. "What does that have to do with us?" He paused for a second and smiled, before leaning in to kiss you eagerly again. And as much as your body wanted to, needed to so badly, there was still guilt in your heart, so you immediately pulled back and looked away.
"Steve, we have to stop." You said quietly.
A wave of sadness washed over him. "Why? Do you.. do you not like me this way?"
You perked up and gave a sad, empathetic smile. "No, no- I mean yes, I do! I really, really do, and I have for such a long time Steve. It's just that... there's someone else too."
His heart dropped.
"So, are you dating someone else?"
"No, I'm not dating anyone else. I'm not in a relationship or anything. It's just that... I have feelings for someone else too. And I love- like you as much as I like them. The same. So I can't just string you along like that." You began to quietly sob with that last sentence.
Steve just stared at you. Still completely confused as to what was going on. What was going on?
"I have to go, um, but I really think we should all still hang out tomorrow, have fun, you know, and we can talk about this later." You pulled your keys out of your bag and headed for the parking lot.
Steve stood still for a second, thinking, taking everything in, before running out after you.
"Bee! Hey, Bee! Please, wait up! Hold on a second-"
You had already gotten into your car, turning onto the street to get home, crying, absolutely wailing into the chilly night, in absolute disbelief of yourself for possibly ruining not only your life, but a pure friendship that was established long before you came into the picture.
♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡
The next day, with swollen eyes from crying yourself to sleep the night before, you were looking into your full length mirror, inspecting your makeup. It wasn't much, but makeup was not necessary for the costume you were wearing for Halloween. You looked down at your long, strapless white dress, that you had squeezed red ink all over to make it look bloody. You hadn't poured any onto your face or hair, not wanting to wash it all out after what's supposed to be a long night. You gave the dress a little smile, proud of the outcome of your makeshift costume of Carrie, your all time favorite horror movie.
You heard a knock at your door, confused as to who it could be. You looked at the time, it was 7 p.m.
You opened the door cautiously, only for Robin to barge in, pulling you into a big, tight hug. "Oh my god, you look amazing!" she said excitedly in her beautiful, raspy voice, looking at you up and down.
You squeezed her right back and laughed. She smelled like vanilla and strawberries. It was a little too intoxicating.
You let go of each other's grasps. "Robin, are you kidding? You look amazing, like, so hot!" She smiled big and blushed at the comment. You marked it off as friendly flattery.
She was going as her favorite horror movie character, too. Freddy Krueger. Complete with the long-sleeved, red striped sweater, that hugged her body so perfectly, with some tight, black ripped jeans and black leather, buckled boots. You guessed she decided not to go with the Freddy claw, after all.
"I was supposed to come pick you up! Did you walk all the way here?"
She nodded enthusiastically.
"Why?"
"I just wanted to surprise you! I'm just so excited for tonight! It's gonna be so much fun!" She jumped, her fists squeezed tight, in the most adorable fashion you'd ever seen.
"Well, now that I'm already here," she continued, "Let's just go now, and get a headstart and meet up with Steve! I'm sure he's already babysitting anyways." She chuckled.
You let out a nervous laugh and fidgeted with your bee pendant again. "Yeah... Steve," you huffed, "yeah, we should do that."
Robin might be quirky, out of the box, but she's not stupid. She raised her eyebrows at you, "What's wrong? Did something happen?"
You were silent for a moment before you collected yourself and said "Oh, no, nothing bad! Just that... he was really annoying at work yesterday. Mixed up some tapes with the, uh, wrong boxes."
She gave you an empathetic nod and smile, "I get it. That's Steve for ya. Are you ready to go? Because I am!"
You gave her a cheesy smile, taking in her delightfully sunny demeanor, "Absolutely. Let me get my shoes on."
♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡
The two of you pulled up beside Steve's house, blaring and singing along to "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" with the windows rolled down.
You turned your car off the moment Steve walked up to your driver's side window and ducked into it. "Nice music taste, ladies."
Steve was in costume, wearing the classic blue jumpsuit, black jacket, black boots and a Jason Voorhees mask, except the mask was resting on top of his fluffy head. And for some reason he looked... hot. You nearly drooled.
Robin noticed your lack of response and rebuttled, "Steve, don't even act like you don't know all the lyrics to this song."
He threw his hands up in defense. "Hey, it was against my will!"
You laughed softly, absent mindedly, deep in thought, before he broke you out of it. "Hey, Bee. The dress came together well. You look really nice."
You were surprised at his compliment, given the events of the night before. "Oh, um, thank you." You half smiled at him, a sad look in your eyes.
Robin crossed her arms and pouted.
Steve went into defensive mode again. "Hey, you look nice too, okay? Very scary." He said the last words sarcastically. She rolled her eyes. "Whatever. You look so super scary, too. Let's go." Steve backed away as the both of you got out of your car.
The three of you were taking the 'kiddos' trick or treating in Steve's neighborhood, as Dustin claimed, "That's where all the full size candy bars are!" The three of you followed the kids around for about 2 hours, pillow cases out, laughing all around, collecting massive amounts of candy. You couldn't help but smile to yourself, glad they were soaking up the last years of their childhood before the adults deemed them "too old" to be trick-or-treating.
As you were walking back to Steve's house, you cursed yourself for not bringing a jacket. The weather was supposed to be somewhat nice tonight, but the chilly breeze began to bite at your arms, as you were in a sleeveless gown. You rubbed your arms over each other in an attempt to warm yourself. Steve noticed.
"Here, take this." He began to take his jacket off to hand to you.
"No, Steve, it's okay, honestly-"
"Bee, I insist. You're freezing, and I know the heat doesn't work in your car. Take it." He offered the jacket to you, smiling. Like a real, genuine smile. As if last night never happened.
"Well... thank you. That's nice of you-" You put his jacket on. It smelled just like him.
Damn it.
"Don't say that's nice of me. We're friends, and that's what friends are for." He ruffled your hair playfully and you giggled nervously.
Why is he acting like everything's okay?
You looked over to Robin walking beside you. She seemed to be lost in thought, staring at the sidewalk, making sure not to step on any cracks. She felt eyes on her and looked up at you, changing her expression from a dissociated one to a happy smile, but there was something else in her eyes. Angst? You couldn't tell.
As you arrived back at your car, you offered Steve's jacket back to him, but he refused insistently. You hesitantly accepted his response.
"So, after I take these kids back home, we still having a beer or two at your place, Bee?"
You got into your car, as did Robin, and affirmed to him, "Yeah, of course, I just have to do something first, but I'll give you a call."
He smirked affectionately and gave your car a couple taps, before walking up the driveway to load the kids up in his car, and driving off to take them home.
"So..." Robin began. "That was fun."
You beamed at her. "It was super fun. I never got to dress up before and it was really cool watching kids trick-or-treating for the first time!"
"Speaking of," she pulled some candy bars out of her pockets, "I was able to steal these from Dustin." She waved them in front of you proudly. You laughed joyfully. "Nice one!" You exclaimed, snatching a Snickers out of her hand, opening it immediately. The chocolate was a little melted from being in her pocket, but you didn't care. She followed right after you, the two of you giving your candy bars a 'cheers' as you took a bite.
The two of you didn't bother to drive away from Steve's house for a while, listening to music, making fun of everyone's costumes and just soaking up each others time. After about 20 minutes of fun, you remembered there was something you had to do. There was an immediate ache in your heart, and you felt terrified, but that it was time to do it.
As the laughing died down, you began to explain, "So, um, Robin, I have to tell you something. And I really hope you won't judge me for it, but I understand if you do. There's a few things I have to tell you, actually..." you trailed off as you looked at her face, noticing a piece of chocolate on the side of her mouth. She looked at you wide-eyed. "What? What's wrong?"
You smiled at her and couldn't help but bust out a laugh. She laughed too, though she didn't know what about. That's one thing you loved about her. It was so contagious when she laughed. You wanted to stay in this moment forever. You didn't want to have to tell her anything. But you knew you had to.
Just one more moment of bliss...
"Here, you have something," you giggled, "let me get that for you." You leaned over towards her to rub the chocolate off. The giggling began to die down as you rubbed the pad of your thumb across the side of her mouth. You did it, ever so gently, and couldn't help but notice how soft her skin is, how pretty her hair looked.
When you looked into her eyes, she was gazing into yours. She half grinned and sucked her bottom lip in her mouth a bit, never taking her eyes off of you, only to glance at your own lips. She was looking at you, in a way you'd never noticed before. It seemed... loving?
"Hey, Bee?" She whispered, face inches away from yours, breathing in each other's scent.
"Yeah?" You exhaled.
"I think I already know. And I hope I'm right."
"What? What do you already know?"
Both of your faces instinctively leaned in at the same time, as you pressed your lips onto hers. It was gentle. It was romantic. Her lips were so soft, plush, just like you'd always imagined.
She pulled away first. "So... am I right?"
Tears poked at the corners of your eyes. You nodded slowly. "Yeah, you're right."
It was then you both grabbed each other's faces, holding them for another kiss, only this time, it was more desperate. You couldn't believe it. Not only did she feel the same way about you, she was different in the same way you were. You could have exploded from relief and joy right then and there.
You swiped your tongue across her lips and she whimpered, granting you access to her mouth. You both moaned into this deeper kiss. Teeth clashing, sloppy, heavy breathing, perfectly in sync-
It was then you realized you had to stop.
This wasn't fair for her either. All you wanted to do was be with her. But you wanted to be with someone else too. That someone else was Steve. You knew you couldn't have your cake and eat it, too.
You pulled away from her, wiping your tears with the sleeve of- fuck- of Steve's jacket.
Robin immediately began to apologize. "Bee, I'm so sorry. I'm so, so sorry, I knew I shouldn't have done that, I knew I shouldn't have assumed-"
You shushed her and comforted her immediately. You knew exactly what it was like to be in her position, and you didn't envy it.
"Robin, you have done absolutely nothing wrong. Do you hear me? Absolutely nothing wrong. You're right. I am into ladies. And I'm into you. And you're perfect."
She smiled, but with a melancholy look on her face. "Okay, well, then what's wrong?" she asked quietly in that sweet voice of hers.
"Nothing about you, Robin. You are so beautiful, so perfect..." you trailed off. "It's just that, I'm into guys too."
She perked up. "Well that's okay. Being bisexual is totally a thing, too!"
You smiled. "Thank you... it's just that... Steve and I..." your breathing began to shake. "Steve and I kissed last night at work, too. Because I have feelings for him too. And I have the same amount of feelings for you, too. You're so beautiful, Robin. And you deserve to be with someone that's completely devoted to you, and only you. So I can't be with you, and I can't be with Steve. It's just... it's not fair for either of you." You confessed, absolutely weeping at this point.
You didn't look up to her face to see her reaction, as you were crying into the sleeves of Steve's jacket, ashamed, riddled with guilt, but you felt a gentle, delicate hand come up to your back to comfort you, when all of the sudden, you felt a tapping on your window.
You looked up. It was Steve.
You rolled down your window.
"Hey, what are you guys still doing h- wait, Bee, are you crying?"
You sniffed, not wanting to look at his face or Robin's. You felt you didn't deserve to ever look at them again.
"Steve, please take Robin home. Or have her spend the night with you."
"What? Why? What happened?"
"I told her." You snapped, not meaning to. "I told her everything. That I like girls, that I have feelings for you, that I have feelings for her, and I've ruined everything and should've never said anything. I'm so, so sorry."
Steve stood still like a statue, in awe and worry. You got out of your car, walked over to the passenger side door, and opened it for her to get out. You felt it was the last respectful thing you could do for her.
"Bee-" she started.
"No, Robin. Please. Just go with Steve. Both of you, the both of you deserve so much better."
You got back into your car, and drove away as fast as you could. You turned your music up to drown out the sound of your breakdown, feeling like you could have possibly ruined a friendship. A pure one. One that was unbreakable. And you cried your eyes out, all the way home.
♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡
Once you walked into your apartment, feeling the most guilt you'd ever felt in your life, you tossed your keys onto the floor, and began to take off your jacket-
Steve's jacket. You were still wearing it.
"Fuck!" You cried out, peeling it off of you and throwing it onto the coffee table.
You sat down on the floor and weeped to yourself for awhile, not feeling sorry for yourself, but for your best friend's lives you just ruined, if you can even call them that anymore. Not only that, but you would surely have to call Keith in the morning to quit your job.
After you had no more tears left to cry, you decided to go take a shower. You stared at yourself in the bathroom mirror for a while, before slipping out of the red ink splattered white dress. You let the hot, steamy water run over your face for a while, and carried on your shower routine, headed to your room, and slipped into some cotton panties, and some soft, comfortable pajama shorts and tank top. Your feet were still cold from the night's chill, so you opted for some white slouch socks. You got into bed, feeling the cool sheets on your skin, and snuggled into your pillow as much as you could. Your fingers habitually went towards the bee pendant to play with, and another feeling of despair and grief washed over you.
You were nearly half asleep when you heard a few knocks on your front door, and your eyes shot open.
These were familiar knocks you knew all too well.
You couldn't face this right now. Everything just came crashing down, hardly hours ago. There was no way.
You heard the familiar, gentle knocks on your door again.
You got out of bed and walked slowly to the door, your heart threatening to jump right out of your chest.
You faced your front door, and opened it, hanging your head low in shame. You didn't have to look up to know who was standing there.
"What are you doing here?" You asked quietly, almost a whisper.
"Bee, please let me in-"
"We can't do this right now, Robin. I can't do this. I don't want to cause any more problems." You felt the lump in your throat.
She grabbed her hands with yours, and gently squeezed them.
"Bee, please just listen to me. You're not gonna hurt me. Please let me in, and just let me talk to you."
You slowly looked up at her, eyes glazing over with tears again.
She was no longer in her Freddy outfit. She was wearing an oversized shirt now, and sweatpants. Comfortable clothes. Clothes for... going to sleep in?
Her face had an empathic smile on it, her eyebrows screwed together with worry, but a smile that somehow said, 'it's okay'.
You thought about it for a moment, and realized you couldn't turn her away, not when she'd walked all the way here in her bunny slippers. The slippers you'd got her for her birthday.
You let go of her hands and sighed, stepping aside so she could walk in. You gently closed the door behind you.
"Robin, I'm so-"
She shushed you kindly, and ever so gingerly grabbed your hand.
"Can we go in your room and talk?"
You paused for a moment and nodded. She kicked off her slippers, and lead you to your bedroom. She sat down on your bed, still holding your hand, and pulled you to sit you down next to her, directly facing her.
"Bee... I need you to know that you haven't hurt my feelings."
You slightly scoffed, staring down onto the bed and not looking in her eyes, not believing her one bit.
She picked up on your energy. "I'm serious," she took a deep breath and continued, "and you haven't hurt Steve, either. We talked about it."
This is when you looked at her face, her beautiful face, a mixture of confusion and disbelief on your face. "I'm not really understanding... what's... what's happening right now?"
She smiled at you, a smile that radiated adoration for you. "I know that you didn't want to hurt me or Steve, but the thing is... We've gone through hell and back together, even before you came to Hawkins, and..." another pause as she tried to make her words make sense, "Me and him, him and I, you know, we're best friends. We both want what's best for each other. So, I'm here with you, right here, right now, because," she squeezed your hands again, "we talked about it, and it's okay."
You weren't fully grasping what she was trying to tell you. "Robin... I want you- I want to be with you, but like I told you... I still have feelings for Steve, too."
She nodded at you. "I know, and that's okay."
You were surprised. "How is it okay? How is that fair for you?"
She let go of your hand, and held up her right to tenderly cup the side of your face.
"It's just okay, and," she bit her bottom lip, looked down nervously, and looked back in your eyes, "If you want, you know, if you want me, then I want you too, and... you can have me. We can have each other."
She leaned in her face a bit closer to yours, a certain gesture you couldn't ignore. You gazed into her eyes, yours filled with tears, and glanced at her lips. Her plump, soft, pink lips. You leaned forward too, placing a hand on the side of her face and jaw.
When you pressed your lips together, it felt even better than the first time. It was long, drawn out, gentle, and you could've melted into a puddle right then and there. You both broke the kiss simultaneously, only to take a quick inhale of each others mouths, before your lips crashed together again.
You pulled her towards you, pulling her in closer, as your kisses began to pick up the pace, heavy breathing, tasting her vanilla chapstick, and the sweet candy on her tongue she must have eaten before coming here.
She took a chance and sucked on your bottom lip, earning a small moan from you, beginning feel the heat from your inner thighs. She let go with a pop, and you turned your face to the side, licking a circle inside her lips. She opened for you, your tongues now colliding, teeth beginning to clash, the embrace growing more and more desperate as each second passed. You both began to rise to your knees, holding each other tightly, not possibly getting close enough, as the two of you kept this hot, heavy pace going.
You slid your hands up her back, pulling her even closer to sit on your lap. She wrapped her legs around your waist, as you began to snake your hands down her back, towards her ass, softly running circles over her hips with your thumbs. She hummed into your mouth and raked her hands through your hair in contentment, then coming down your neck, to your collarbone, hands resting just above your breasts.
Your hands slid around to the front of her shirt, gently cupping underneath her own breasts. You broke the kiss softly, not wanting to, but feeling you had to tell her something between heavy pants.
"Robin, I've never, um, I've never gotten to this point before with a woman."
She smiled at you, half lidded, "It's okay. I haven't either. I hope that's okay."
You nodded and stared affectionately at her face, into her beautiful blue eyes, smiling, feeling intoxicated by her presence, her closeness to you.
Your hands ran down the front of her shirt, fingers slipping underneath the hem. She gave a satisfactory sigh, her hands beginning to tug under your tank top.
Everything happened so fast.
You let go of her, eagerly pulling your shirt over your head, throwing it somewhere in your room, Robin doing the same as quickly as you did.
You both took a moment to admire each other's bare chests. Her breasts were perky, so perfect, better than anything you could have ever imagined. You felt her hands smooth up your stomach, eagerly looking down at you for some kind of permission. You nodded, absolutely dazed out, and she cupped your bare breasts, running her thumbs over your hardened nipples, admiring them in awe. This action made you gasp, grabbing her hips and grinding into her, her grinding back in unison. She leaned down to kiss you again, but you caught her off guard, immediately planting your lips on her neck. She keened into you, mouth agape, as you began your assault on her soft, sensitive skin. You open mouth kissed her sloppily, making your way across her throat as she dug her nails in your back. You kissed below her right ear and she moaned your name, her voice sounding like one of an angel. Content that you had found her sweet spot, you began to suck, harder than you were planning to. Robin began murmuring things to herself you couldn't make out, blissed out in absolute euphoria. Once you'd left a pretty, hot pink bruise on that spot, you gently nibbled and kissed at it, as if to make it all better.
You began your descent down her chest, kissing and licking until your face was between her breasts. You began to massage one, gently teasing one nipple, taking the other one into your mouth, sloppily kissing and sucking on it. She groaned and arched into your face, panting as she lightly scratched down your back. You switched sides after a minute and did the same, making sure both got the same attention, her nuzzling into your neck, whispering to you just how good it felt.
You gave her a sweet, gentle kiss to her stomach, panting, needing more. You wanted to make her feel better than she ever has in her life.
You placed a hand on the small of her back and another on the back of her neck as you gently laid her down onto your bed, her messy hair pressed into a pillow.
You hovered over her, hands interwining hers and kissed her feverishly again for a moment, before pulling back to admire her face.
"Robin," you whispered affectionately, "you are so perfect. You are the prettiest girl in the world." She blushed at your confession.
"No, honey, I think that would be you." She leaned up and pressed sweet kisses onto your neck.
The endearing word she called you did something to you.
You kissed her on the lips, hard, passionate, breathless, and began to move down her body, kissing every bit of her you could, before pressing a kiss to her lower stomach, just above the line of her sweatpants, and she shivered. It was then you stopped, and sat back up, kneading into her thighs.
"Babe... do you wanna stop now?" You asked quietly.
She looked at you with hazy eyes. "No, no, I don't. I really don't. I'm just a little nervous."
You smiled at her, resting your face on her knee and giving it a peck. "It's okay, I'm nervous, too. But you are, god Robin, you are the most beautiful woman I've ever seen in the world. And I know every single part of you is beautiful, and I would love to prove that to you."
She smiled back up at you, looking almost as if she were to cry. She nodded and quietly said, "Okay. Yes.. I want to. I want you, Bee."
You crawled back over her, filled with joy, pure love, and gave her a big kiss. You both giggled nervously, but excitedly.
You leaned back again and began to tug at the waistband of her pants, stopping for a moment to make sure it was still okay. When she nodded at you again, you grinned ear to ear, pulling them down, tugging at the ankles until you peeled them off, gingerly setting them next to you on the bed.
You couldn't help but bite your lip, looking at her body, the small soaked circle on the middle of her white panties. You leaned down towards the apex of her thighs, placing a soft kiss on the wet spot she'd created. She gasped, and gave a small, adorable little laugh, before biting her own bottom lip again. You grabbed the sides of them, delicately sliding them off of her legs, placing them with her sweatpants.
You groaned at the sight of her completely bare, right in front of you. Her body was absolutely unreal, there was no way that this beautiful of a woman was lying here, on your bed, just for you.
"Robin," you panted, "you are an absolute goddess. So pretty, everything about you is so pretty."
She whimpered at your statement, thighs rubbing together for some kind of friction.
You leaned over her again, cradling the soft skin of her face. "I'm gonna do my best to make you feel so good, okay?"
She smiled and kissed the front of your neck. "Okay."
Nervous butterflies danced in your stomach as you pressed you lips towards her again, quickly setting a desperate, heavy pace. You roamed your hand down her abdomen, gently sliding your fingers through her wet folds. She moaned into your mouth as you moved your fingers up and down, collecting her slick, and she arched into your hand. You placed a finger against her entrance and she arched yet again.
You slowly inserted a digit into her. She moaned heavily into your mouth as you began to set a slow pace, trying to remember what you like about your own body. You inserted another digit, quickly curling both of them inside her to find her sweet, spongy spot. She groaned a mixture your name and expletives as you moved your fingers in and out of her, curling into that sweet spot every time.
"Bee, I'm already gonna-"
You stopped your pace and shushed her, her whimpering at the loss. "Sh, hold on baby, I'm gonna let you, but I'm gonna make it feel better than this." You gave her a tender kiss and moved down her body, grabbing a hold of underneath her knee and placing it over your shoulder, kissing the inside of her thigh, before you set the pace you had before with your fingers, and kissed her aching clit.
"Fuck," she cried, "please don't stop."
You began to lick circles around her clit with your tongue, starting to suck on it, not too hard, but not too soft. She grabbed your hair with a hand, pulling by your scalp, and cried out in pleasure, as you curled your fingers inside, licking and sucking her little button until-
"It's happening, please-"
You didn't speed up the pace, knowing that what you were doing was exactly what she needed, and you sucked and fucked your fingers in her through her high, Robin crying and grinding into your face.
As soon as her panting slowed, you removed your mouth from her now swollen clit, careful to not overstimulate her, and removed your fingers, sucking her juices from them appreciatively. You crawled over her again, grabbing her face and kissing her deeply, romantically. "Robin, you're so, so pretty. You're so pretty, babe." You affirmed her again, smoothing her hair. She smiled into your kiss, giggling a little bit.
You giggled back. "What's so funny?"
"Nothing, it's just that, I'm so happy, that felt so good... and now it's your turn."
She quickly and swiftly flipped you right over, despite her usual clumsiness, and hastily grabbed your little shorts, peeling them and your underwear off at the same time, throwing them somewhere on the floor of the dimly lit room.
She began to nip and suck on your inner thighs, smiling against your skin, as you gasped and arched into her touch, surprised by the sudden change in situation.
She leaned in and gave you a kiss on your sopping wet hole. You moaned her name and exhaled deeply, never having felt this kind of touch before.
She looked up at you with playful, almost devilish eyes. "I've always wanted to do this."
She put a leg over her shoulder, shoving her face into your heat, not easing you into it at all, and began lapping you up as if she was starved. You squeezed her head with your thighs, crying out in pleasure, and she then inserted a digit into you, instantly curling it the way you'd done to her.
"Oh, fuck, Robin-"
She quickly inserted another into you, pumping in and out of you, curling inside of you everytime she pushed into you.
You grabbed her hair desperately as she worked on you, tongue flat against your clit, swirling around it and sucking on it, moving at a faster pace everytime you moaned her name.
She was too good at this.
You grinded into her mouth and hand, feeling the yummy knot in your stomach forming faster than it ever had before. It felt as if you'd died and went to heaven, and this was it.
"Robin, I'm gonna-"
Your world crashed down around you in the best way possible as you heavily panted, eyes nearly rolling in the back of your head as she fucked you through your high.
She was absolutely otherworldly.
Once she knew you were finished, she removed her hand from the sensitive area she'd just devoured, climbing back towards you to collapse on the bed next to you, intertwining your fingers with hers as you both stared at the ceiling for a few moments, gasping for air.
"Robin," you turned your head towards her, "I've never came that quick in my life."
She smiled, absolutely giddy, "Really?"
You nodded and smiled back, "Really, that was.. amazing. I don't know how else to describe it."
She curled towards you and pulled you into her, limbs on limbs, bare chest against bare chest, as you breathed in each other's scent, the both of you feeling over the moon, feeling...
"I love you." You whispered, "Like, I'm in love with you."
She tucked your hair behind your ear, "I'm in love with you too, Bee."
"Really?"
"Really."
You nuzzled into each other for a while longer, before she kissed your forehead, and abruptly sat up to get dressed.
You reached your arms out to her and whined, "Where are you going?"
She pulled her shirt over her head, "Getting dressed, silly. There's still some unfinished business."
You shot up out of bed. "Unfinished business?"
"Yeah. Come on babe, time to get dressed."
You hesitantly got up and did as she asked, still extremely confused and nervous about what she could be talking about.
She began to walk out of the room. "I'll be right back. I just need to go outside real quick. Be back in two minutes, I promise."
You raised your eyebrow at her, sitting on the edge of your bed. "Okay..."
You fiddled with your bee pendant again, filled with anxiety, wondering what she was doing.
Finally, you heard your front door open again.
"Robin...?"
You heard her telling someone to come inside, and another set of footsteps that weren't hers. Heavier footsteps.
You instantly froze. There was no way.
Robin walked into your room with him. "Here she is."
You felt your jaw hit the floor.
There he was. Steve Harrington. In all his stupid, handsome glory. Wearing some grey sweatpants and a white t shirt. Hair somewhat messy.
You stared at him, wide-eyed, your heart beating rapidly through your chest, forgetting to breathe for a moment. Your face turned hot, cheeks burning red.
Steve looked at you sitting on your bed, a gentle look in his eyes, a loving grin on his face.
"Hey, Bee." He said softly.
You continued to stare at him, eyes darting between the two of them as they stood before you, and began to talk, voice a little louder this time.
"Robin... Steve, what's going on?"
Robin took a seat on the edge of the bed next to you, looking at you affectionately and giving your hand a reassuring squeeze.
"Remember when I told you that we talked? Steve and I?"
You nodded slowly, a confused expression on your face.
She continued, "Well, remember when I said that we just want the best for each other? Steve and I... we both have feelings for you, and we both want to be with you, and we're both okay with that, more than okay actually. Obviously, you know, there would be boundaries and stuff, because I'm gay, but... yeah. We can all just... be together." She gave you a hopeful smile, now holding both of your hands, rubbing circles into your palms.
You were quiet, trying to take everything in. You looked over to Steve, who was gazing at you in adoration, and he nodded, signaling his agreement with everything Robin said.
You took a deep breath, exhaling slowly, "Robin... Steve, I don't know what to say."
"It's okay, you don't have to say anything. We're both here for you no matter what you decide, just... think about it. In the meantime," she gestured towards Steve, "I think the two of you need to talk, too. I'm gonna give you some alone time with him."
You perked up, "Okay, um... where are you going?"
She sat up from the bed and gently let go of your hands, "I'm gonna go to Family Video, get some movies, and get some snacks and stuff, because no matter what happens, we're still having that sleepover tonight."
Steve tossed his car keys to her, her barely catching them clumsily. "Please don't fuck up my car, Robin." He looked at her earnestly, "I'm serious."
She rolled her eyes and ignored him, walking out of your bedroom door before pausing to look at you. "I'll be back soon, okay?"
You nodded. "Okay."
She smiled, put on her slippers, and left, closing the front door behind her.
You glanced up at Steve with pursed lips, and looked at the floor, staring at the plush carpet.
"So, um," he ran his hand through his hair nervously. "Can I sit down next to you?"
"Yeah, yeah... of course." You shuffled over a bit to give him space. He sat down on your bed next to you where Robin once was, sighing and clasping his hands together.
"So, how are you feeling?"
You shuffled your feet together. "Um, I don't know. A mix of feelings I guess... I'm just trying to take everything in," you perked up at him, "not that I'm not happy you're here, because I am! I just, feel guilty, ya know?"
He rested a hand on your thigh, sending a small shock wave through you. "Yeah, that's understandable. I don't want you to feel guilty though. Like Robin said, we talked about it and we're okay with it." He squeezed your thigh, causing you to sharply inhale. He looked at you worriedly.
You smiled, quickly reassuring him that the touch was okay. You gulped, "Well... what do we do now?"
"Well," he paused to think for a moment, "whatever you want. We can just talk, we can just sit in each other's presence," he chuckled a bit, "or, you can kick me out if you're not comfortable, that's okay too."
You shook your head, squeezing his hand that was still on your thigh, shuffling closer to him, leg against leg. "No, no. I want you here with me. Next to me. I like being with you." You smiled nervously at him.
He let out a sigh of relief. "Good, good... I want to be here with you, too." He stared at your hand squeezing his, before gazing into your eyes, his cheeks turning pink.
You nodded at him, biting your bottom lip nervously.
He slowly leaned towards your face, his breathing becoming hitched. You leaned your face closer to his too. He barely brushed his lips against yours, and you exhaled deeply, pressing your forehead against his and closing your eyes.
"Is everything okay, Bee?" He asked quietly.
"Um," you struggled to find the words. "It's just that, Robin and I, we were just in here kissing, and doing, ya know, other stuff, too."
He leaned back again and smiled, removing his hand from your leg and caressing the side of your face. "I know, she told me."
You looked into his eyes. "She told you?"
"Yeah. She was really happy. And she's okay with us kissing, too." He let you take in his words for a moment. "We both want to be happy, with you. But if you don't want to do anything with me tonight, or ever, that's okay too. Okay?"
You just looked into his eyes. They looked comforting, understanding, and loving. Like everything he was saying was true.
He grew a concerned look on his face when you didn't respond. As he began to open his mouth to speak, you stopped him, grabbing his face with both hands and crashing your lips onto his hungrily.
He immediately responded by doing the same, pressing his lips into yours as hard as he could, as if he'd been waiting for this moment ever since he laid his eyes on you.
You raked your fingers through his hair, another hand on his chest, as you continued to kiss each other feverishly, noses pressing together. He grabbed both of your hips, and quickly lifted you up to sit on top of him, and you wrapped your legs around him, now straddling him. He nibbled your bottom lip, causing you to gasp as he slid his tongue along where he bit you, gaining entrance into your mouth. The both of you quickly became a mess of sloppy, wet, passionate kisses, only pausing in between to gasp for air.
Hands still gripping your hips, he lightly grinded you against him, making you throw your head back and whine. He took the opportunity to now kiss on your neck, open mouth kissing, licking and sucking as he made his way to the other side of your neck. He kissed your sweet spot and you moaned, feeling him smile against your skin and began to bite and suck on that spot. You sighed his name and lightly scratched your nails up and down his back, feeling yourself become wet, walls desperately clenching around nothing.
He kissed down your neck and chest feverishly, stopping above your breasts, grabbing one into his hand as he pressed his lips over your hardened, clothed nipples. He leaned his head back and gazed into your eyes, his half lidded and dark, begging for more as he tugged at the hem of your tank top. You nodded eagerly and barely whispered out a 'yes'.
He swiftly pulled your top over your head, tossing it onto the floor, revealing your bare torso to him. He stared at your breasts, hair now a mess, his mouth slightly agape. You felt his hard length through his sweatpants at the apex of your thighs. You bit your lip as you let him admire you for a moment.
He looked up from your chest into your eyes again, before saying, "You're so beautiful. So, so beautiful." You smiled shyly at his comment, planting a kiss on his forehead. You clutched at his shirt, fisting the fabric into your hand, motioning for him to take it off. Once he got the hint, he smiled excitedly and rapidly took it off, lifting it over his head and tossing it on the floor. Now you were staring at his bare chest, memorizing all the details of it, smoothing your hands over his shoulders and biceps.
"You're so pretty, Steve." You somehow managed to say breathlessly.
He smiled at you affectionately, placing one hand onto the small of your back and tucking a piece of hair behind your ear. He pulled your head towards his and kissed you, only this time, it was gentle, soft, slow and romantic.
He pulled back and gazed into your eyes again, grinning widely.
"I love you."
You let out a small gasp.
He patiently waited for your response.
You leaned your forehead against his, giggling with joy. "I love you, too."
"You do?"
"I really do. Have for a long time."
A devilish, but playful look came across his face. He lifted you up by your ass, carrying you to the other side of the bed as you squealed with excitement. He gently tossed you onto your back, your head resting on a pillow. He climbed over on top of you, arms lifting himself up either side of your head, kissing you desperately, intensly again, a mixture of eagerness and romance and love within them, as you wrapped your legs around his lower back.
He began trailing kisses down your neck and chest again, stopping to caress your breasts, licking and kissing in between them, gently pinching your nipples. You gasped and arched into his touch, only making him want more and more of you. He continued down your stomach, leaving small, dark pink bruises, whispering how beautiful your body is, until he kissed just above the waistline of your shorts, another kiss you arched up into. He smiled and rested his head onto your hip for a moment, digging his fingers underneath the line of the fabric.
"Can I?"
"Please... yes, please Steve."
"I got you, baby."
You stomach fluttered at his last statement, as he sat up and wriggled your tiny shorts down your legs. He gravitated his head towards your cotton panties, pressing a kiss over your clothed clit. You squirmed and rubbed your thighs together as he leaned back again, this time pulling your panties down, discarding another garment somewhere in the room.
You crossed your legs together a bit before he grabbed your knees and opened them. Your face went red from embarassment.
"Don't close your legs. You're gorgeous. Everything about you is gorgeous."
His comforting words made your body relax. He leaned over you, planted a gentle kiss to your lips and said softly, "I'm gonna make you feel so good, sweet girl. I got you."
His hands snaked down your abdomen, and slid his fingers through your soaked folds, the both of you moaning quietly at the touch. He slid two digits inside of you with ease, instantly curling his fingers and finding your spongy spot. You gasped and he kissed you again, you whimpering into his mouth as he began to pump in and out of you, setting a steady pace, curling his fingers each time. You clamped around them, crying into his mouth, "More, more".
He released his lips from yours and licked and kissed down your body, hiking a leg over his shoulder, removing his fingers and slowly licking a stripe up your heat, not breaking eye contact with you. You grabbed his hair by the nape of his neck, begging him for more. He stuck his tongue inside you, licking and kissing your wet hole, before circling around your clit. You moaned shamelessly, only enticing him more, Steve now sucking on your clit relentlessly. You squeezed his head with your thighs as the knot inside of your stomach began to build again.
"Oh fuck Steve, I'm gonna-"
He immediately removed his lips from your clit with a pop, you whining at the loss of his mouth.
He sat up on his knees in front of you. "Not yet, baby, not yet. I want you to do it with me-" He began to pat and dig into his pockets, head hanging low with disappointment.
"I guess I didn't bring a condom. I'm sorry."
You shook your head, "I'm on the pill. It's okay. Please, don't stop."
He perked up again and smiled, hastily pulling down his pants and underwear, throwing them behind him.
You leaned up on your elbows a bit, staring at his quite large cock in awe, mouth beginning to water. "Holy shit, Steve." You whispered.
He gave himself a couple strokes before hovering over you again, shushing you with a smile. He looked at you softly, but excitedly, placing the pad of his thumb on your bottom lip and pulling it down a bit, giving it a small kiss.
He leaned back again, prodding the tip against your entrance. He looked up at you again to double check that this was okay, you instantly giving him a nod that said 'do it already'.
He slowly pushed himself inside you, holding the backs of your thighs as you gasped. You wondered to yourself if you were gonna be able to handle him, but he slowly pushed in more, bottoming out as he groaned. He pulled out and pushed into you with small stroaks, beginning to thrust in a slow, steady pace as your slick started to take him in easily.
He picked up the speed of his thrusts, and you felt like he had sent you to another dimension, as you murmured and moaned to yourself in absolute euphoria. Each time he pounded hard all the way into you, you clenched down on him harder and harder.
"Fuck, baby, you're so, so damn tight." He praised between pants.
You didn't respond, watching him as he continued to pound over and over again, his mouth agape, his cheeks flushed red, face nearly dripping with sweat.
He slowed his pace for a second, bottoming out as he moaned, and began his assault on your clit again.
He rubbed circles around it as he picked up his steady, but hard pace into you. You gasped and moaned more expletives, tears prodding at the corners of your eyes, as you reached your arms towards him, whining and begging for his closeness.
He grabbed your arms and pulled you forward, him sitting on his knees, slightly spread, and you now sitting on his cock, the both of you moaning loudly at the new angle, hitting that sweet spot you love so much.
You both began to grind into each other in unison, his hands grabbing your hips and moving you with his thrusts, your hands squeezing his shoulders, kissing sloppily and breathing in each other's scent. The knot inside of you began to build up again.
You tangled your fingers through his hair, yanking at the scalp.
"Steve, fuck, I'm gonna-"
"Do it with me. Cum with me, baby girl."
His thrusts started to quicken, as you shamelessly cried out his name in absolute pleasure, the knot finally releasing and pooling over his cock. He continued pounding you through your high until his thrusts began to stutter, and you felt his wet warmth spilling inside you, Steve biting onto your shoulder to stifle back an embarrassingly loud moan.
You both remained in that position for a while, panting, sweaty as you pulled each other in for a close embrace, feeling as though you could never be close enough against each other.
Steve rubbed your back affectionately, before gently pulling your head back to give you a long, soft, passionate kiss.
He gently laid you back down on your bed, him falling back into the pillows next to you as you stared at the ceiling for a moment to catch your breath.
He looked over at you and smiled, looking absolutely fucked out. You pulled his head into your chest and played with his hair, kissing him on his forehead.
"Steve, that was-"
"Amazing. Perfect." He finished your sentence.
You both chuckled and he gave you another kiss before sitting up. "Well, Bee... we gotta get dressed."
You whined a bit and said, "Can we still cuddle after?"
"Absolutely."
You helped each other get dressed and crawled back under the covers, him spooning you from behind, planting kisses on your neck that made you shiver, brushing his fingers over your back.
You stayed like this with each other for a while before you heard the front door open again.
A familiar voice announced, "Hey guys, I got some snacks and picked up Labyrinth, and no, Steve, I didn't fuck up your car-"
Robin stopped as she entered your bedroom, seeing the two of you cuddling.
She dropped the bag she was carrying and excitedly said with a squeal, "Is it cuddle time?!"
You smiled wide and reached your arms out towards her, grasping at air for her.
She kicked off her bunny slippers again, her hair now tied up in a messy bun, and eagerly crawled under the covers with you. She nuzzled her face into your chest, kissing it and hummed happily. You kissed her on top of her head and held her to your body tightly. Steve contently chuckled and kissed your neck again, still spooning you from behind, you snuggled right in between the two loves of your life.
"I love you guys."
"We love you more, Bee." They announced in unison.

TW: attempted rape/non-con, nonconsensual drugging.
Ok but like what if steve went to a lot of parties after season 2 bc he didn't want to be alone in his empty house. He never hooked up with anyone bc he was still broke up about nancy and didn't really feel like being touched intimately bc reasons I can't think of rn.
***
Robin overheard that Tammy was throwing a party and decided she was going to go. She was going to talk to her if it was the last thing she did, despite hating large crowds and knowing nothing would ever come of it because Tammy was head over heels for Steve "the hair" Harrington and would never look twice at her.
Robin goes to the party and is immediately overwhelmed and hating the whole experience, but ultimately pulls herself together and dives in. She mainly keeps to the corners and watches all the people dance and drink and puke until she spots Tammy on the other side of the room talking with two other girls and Steve.
She can't help but notice Steve. He's wearing a striped polo and light wash jeans with his usual white and red Nike sneakers and he's holding a red plastic cup against his bicep where his arms are crossed. He's totally not listening to what the girls are saying to him, just nodding every now and then.
Robin can't help but chuckle a little at that, albeit reluctantly.
Then she notices one of the other girls in the group move her hand up towards Steve's cup. Robin frowns and sees her drop something into it before letting her arm fall back to her side, never once breaking from the conversation.
Robin is, of course, suspicious, but figures it's just her overactive imagination playing tricks on her again. No way someone would roofie King Steve. No way.
But as she watches Steve continue to drink from his cup and get progressively more drunk looking, despite never taking more than a few sips, she begins to think maybe she was wrong. Maybe something was wrong.
She decides to make her way over and see if everything is actually alright. Maybe he's just drinking straight vodka and he's a lightweight. Robin knows thats wistful thinking. Steve was the keg king before Hargrove bulldozed in.
Finally making it to the other side of the room she sees that Steve and the girl are nowhere to be found. A little frantically she asks Tammy where they went and gets a confused answer of "upstairs" from the girl.
Rushing up the stairs, thankfully not tripping for once, she stops and stares at the hallway full of doors in dread.
Jesus! Who has so many doors in their house!?
She begins to open them calling for Steve. When she gets to the last two doors she hears faint voices. A clear female voice hushing someone and a slurred male voice saying "st'p it. no don' touch me pleeashhe noo"
Not bothering to knock, she slams the door open and barges in. Then she stops in shock and gasps at the scene before her.
Steve is flat on his back on the bed his shirt tangled up around his arms, keeping him from moving them and his pants are unbuttoned and unzipped. The girl is straddling him and running her hands over his chest, kissing his neck. She has a flirty little smile and mean looking eyes, while Steve is flushed, with tears leaking from his eyes.
Robin immediately yells at the girl to back the fuck off— no means no bitch, fully prepared to go over and throw hands. The girl, however must be spooked enough by Robin's presence to get out of there because she skedaddles as fast as she can, leaving Steve as he is. She hurries to lock the door behind her, so no one will come in and try anything.
Robin tentatively approaches his prone figure, slight whimpers falling from his lips, face gently contorted in fear. She whispers his name and he freezes with a sharp gasp and furrowed brow. The no's and pleading start up again and she leans away from him, hands held in front of her body to indicate she won't hurt him as she tells him it's ok the girl is gone.
His eyes crack open and it's clear he's still under the influence of the drug the girl slipped him, but the fear and adrenaline must have cleared his mind a little because he says her last name in confusion.
Admittedly, she is surprised he knows who she is, but just takes it in stride, nodding and telling him she's not going to hurt him, that he's safe now.
He must believe her because he relaxes and let's his silent crying turn unto full body sobs. He curls up into himself and she rushes to his side, not touching him, but staying near in case he needs her.
Some time later he uncurls and looks at her, sad bambi eyes glistening with tears, and asks her why the girl did that. Why him? Why did she feel like she had a right to his body? What did he do to make her think he wanted that?
Robin doesn't really know what to say so she just smiles sadly at him and tells him that that girl is a monster and that Steve didn't do anything to make her think what she did was okay. She can see he's doubting her and blaming himself, so she asks him if this had happened to her would it be her fault?
He immediately shakes his head no and she looks at him like "exactly". He quirks a half smile at her and concedes her point.
They spend the rest of the night holed up in that room, quietly talking to each other.
He tells her how he doesn't think he's going to graduate. She tells him how she hates going to school because she doesn't have any friends and no one knows she exists. He tells her how his parents hate him and think he's a massive disappointment to the Harrington name. She tells him her mother constantly degrades her and points out all her flaws.
He tells her about the real monsters of Hawkins. She doesn't believe him, but she doesn't say anything. She tells him about her crush on Tammy Thompson. He teases her about her terrible taste in girls.
They talk until the party is dead and then they walk out together and Steve drives them back to his house when he tells her he doesn't want to be alone and she offers to stay.
Robin thinks he just might be the best thing to happen to her.

4 times nancy thought steve and robin were dating & the 1 time she knew they weren't
Tumblr media
Summary: Nancy doesn't know how she didn't see it before. Robin and Steve are too close- too touchy to not be dating. But why does it bother her so much? She thought she was over Steve.
Word count: 5,825
A/N: This is my first ronance fic and im so nervous!! I've been seeing a lot of ronance content on my dash and reading a lot of fics on here and ao3 so i just had to write for them. Also trying out a new kinda format with pictures instead of a gif. I hope you all enjoy!
CW: swearing, mentions of alcohol, mentions of weed
1.
The first time that Nancy realized that Steve and Robin might have been dating was when she crashed one of their weekly movie nights. She was dropping by Steve’s to return the jacket he lent her the last time their group hung out at Skull Rock. She didn’t plan to stay for more than a minute, just enough to pass back his jacket, make polite but short conversation, then head back home to study for her next chem test. But Nancy unfortunately asked about his plans for the night and suddenly she was sat on the loveseat, munching on overly salted popcorn and watching the new Halloween movie with Robin and Steve, who sat on the couch beside the loveseat, sharing a blanket and a bowl of popcorn.
If Nancy was being completely honest with herself, she was watching Robin and Steve more closely than she was watching the movie. She couldn’t tell you who Michael Meyers killed on screen two minutes ago, but she could tell you exactly what Robin and Steve were doing for the last ten minutes.
Cuddling. Robin and Steve were cuddling. The sandy blonde was tucked into Steve’s side, her head resting on his shoulder as they spoke in hushed voices, giggling every once in awhile. The sight of it made a lump form in Nancy’s throat. She knew that it was irrational to be upset about Steve and Robin’s closeness, but that didn’t stop her from feeling it anyway. The more she thought about it and let herself glance in the direction of the pair on the other couch, it became clearer to her that Robin and Steve were dating.
The lump in her throat turned into a knot in her stomach as the realization hit her. Steve and Robin were her friends and she should be happy for them. Then why was she so upset? Why did the thought of the two of them together neauseate her? She’d been over Steve for two years, so she had no reason to feel this way. That’s what she thought, anyway. She may have to reevaluate her feelings for the brunette after tonight’s events.
When Robin and Steve walked her out at the end of the movie, hand in hand, Nancy did her best not to stare at their intertwined fingers or notice how bright their smiles were when they looked at each other. She tried not to think about why Robin wasn’t leaving with her and the duffel bag that she passed in the hallway on the way to the front door, littered with patches similar to the ones on Robin’s favorite jacket.
She tried not to think of those things as she drove herself home. She tried not to think of those things as she lay in bed at night, willing her body to let her sleep. But the image of Robin’s head on Steve’s shoulder and the sound of lovesick giggling clouded her mind nonetheless.
2.
About a week after the movie night at Steve’s, Nancy headed to Family Video to return a movie and rent a new one. She pushed open the heavy glass door, the bell above the door ringing as she stepped through the threshold. She was in a chipper mood, having gotten an A on her chem test earlier that day, until she saw them. Robin and Steve were behind the counter, standing way too close for Nancy’s liking and whispering to each other. She couldn’t understand why, as the store was empty and there was no one there to hear them. Her mood dampened even more as she got closer to the counter and saw them wearing the smiles that they had reserved only for each other.
They broke apart as soon as they noticed her, sheepish smiles replacing their bright ones. They knew they were caught.
“Nance, hey!” Robin chirped, her voice a whole octave higher than usual, almost as if she was trying too hard to pretend to be casual.
Nancy forced a tight lipped smile and gave a small wave as she approached the counter. Steve and Robin were now separated, now stationed at their respective registers. She headed straight for Robin’s register without a second glance at the Harrington boy.
“Hey, Rob.”
Nancy was undoubtedly still bitter about the previous incident, but she couldn’t help but soften as she stared into the baby blue eyes of Robin Buckley. Robin always had that effect on her. Robin was the calm to Nancy’s storm. The Wheeler girl cleared her throat to gain her composure- to bring herself back down to Earth.
“Do you guys happen to have Ferris Bueller’s Day Off? I came in here on Monday to rent it, but Kieth said it was out.” She leaned against the counter, her palms flat on the purple countertop as she waited for a response from the girl in front of her.
Robin perked up, immediately turning behind her to the black cart, marked “returns”. She rummaged around for a second before turning around again, waving the tape case in the air with a victorious smile. The sight made Nancy smile and her heart soar.
“Just got it back today!” Robin scanned the tape and set it on the counter, “Did you want to get anything else?”
Did she need anything else? Honestly, Nancy could care less if she got to see Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. The movie was for Mike, anyway, but she volunteered to go and pick it up while he was at Hellfire so she could see her friends. Though at that moment, she didn’t really feel like conversing with Steve Harrington.
“Don’t think so.”
“Cool.”
An awkward silence fell between the two as Robin finished typing Nancy’s account information into the computer, scanning the movie again, as she had messed up the first time.
“So…” Nancy started, “Any plans after work today?”
She was just trying to make conversation, but it sure sounded like she wanted to see Robin after work. Some may have even interpreted it as the preamble to a date invitation. She cringed at herself, hoping that Robin didn’t misread the situation. Since when was she an overthinker? Nancy Wheeler always acted with confidence, even if she happened to make a mistake.
“Going to Steve’s to watch a bad horror movie, maybe stay over,” She chuckled as she handed nancy her receipt and her movie, “What about you?”
Fucking Harrington again. She felt a pang in her chest at the mention of his name and willed herself not to show any sign of distaste. Nancy should have suspected that they’d hang out after work. They were dating, after all. As much as she loved Steve as a friend, she wondered what Robin saw in him. Even more than that, Nancy wondered why she was so upset about Robin and Steve watching a movie together after work. She had no right to be jealous and she reminded herself of that as she forced another smile.
“Cool. Well, have fun!” Nancy said with as much enthusiasm as she could muster, “I need to head home to deliver this to Mike before Will gets there so uh I’ll see you later.”
She didn’t even give Robin time to reply before she was speedwalking towards the door, desparate to get out of the small video shop.
3.
The Wheeler’s basement was the main hangout spot for both Mike and Nancy’s group of friends. This used to result in daily fights between the two siblings, as both wanted to stake claim on the space on the same days, until finally, they decided that Nancy got the basement on Friday nights and weekends and Mike got it every other day of the week. On Friday nights, Nancy had Steve, Robin, Eddie, and Jonathan over. It was a low-key hangout that sometimes included beer and weed, when her parents weren’t home to to smell it.
Robin and Steve were the last to show up, having gotten off of work later than their usual Friday hangout start time. They bounded down the basement stairs, Robin carrying the “good beer” that Steve stole from his father and Steve carrying the pizza. The sounds of their laugher and clanking cans of beer could be heard even before they had completely descended the stairs.
Nancy’s chest usually filled with warmth at the sound of Robin’s giggles. She usually found herself unable to fight a smile and a small chuckle of her own when she heard the raspy laughter. Usually the sound was music to her ears, but tonight she was almost nauseated by the it because Robin was laughing with Steve, more than likely because of something he said or an inside joke he brought up. Her blood boiled at the thought, but she couldn’t let it show.
“Hey, guys,” Steve managed through his obnoxious laugher.
Robin gave a small wave with the cutest smile to match. Nancy melted at the sight and almost completely forgot about the jealousy she felt a minute ago.
“We got pizza and beer!” Robin chirped, walking over to the coffee table to set 2 six packs down before taking a seat on the couch.
Nancy frowned to herself from her spot on the floor. Robin usually sat by her on Friday nights, it was the only reason that Nancy sat on the floor of her own basement.  Steve followed suit, placing the large pizza box on the coffee table and taking a seat beside Robin, pulling a blanket off of the arm of the couch and over the two of them. The sandy blonde shot a grateful smile at her counterpart and Nancy was once again red hot with jealousy.
After the pizza was devoured and the “good beer” was broken into, Robin settled her head on Steve’s shoulder as she laughed at something Eddie said. Jonathan stood up, his trusty polaroid camera slung around his neck, and snapped a picture of the two all cuddled up together. Nancy stared straight ahead at the two with a grimace and fire behind her eyes as Robin laughed at a story that Steve was telling from their shift earlier that night. Steve’s fingers ran through Robin’s short sandy hair as he spoke. Even in her jealousy, she wondered how it would feel to run her fingers through Robin’s hair. It looked so soft from her spot across from her.
“Nance? Nance?” Eddie shook one of her shoulders from his spot beside her.
She shook her head, finally tearing her eyes away from Robin and Steve to look at the man beside her.
“Yeah, right. I’m here.” She nodded, more to herself than Eddie.
“You were up in space for a second,” He chuckled, taking a quick sip of his beer, “Everything okay?”
“Yeah,” She forced a smile, “Just lost in thought, I guess.”
Eddie quirked a brow and nudged her side with a smug smile, “Do those thoughts happen to be about a certain Harrington?” He asked under his breath.
Nancy scoffed, rolling her eyes, “Absolutely not.”
“Ahh, so you were thinking about Buckley, then,” He whispered just as smugly.
Nancy froze. She had been caught. Was she really that obvious?
“No! Just stressed about my essay for Click’s class,” She defended, tugging at the fibers of the carpet below her and averting the metalhead’s eyes, as she knew he would see right through her.
“Hm,” Was all he muttered before turning back to the conversation that was still going on around them.
Meanwhile, Nancy’s head was still swirling with thoughts of the sandy haired girl in front of her. She had never considered that she was jealous of Robin and Steve because she had a crush on Robin, as Eddie suggested. She always figured that she was jealous because Steve was hogging one of her best friends. But friends don’t think about how pretty their laugh is, or how soft their hair must feel. Friends definitely don’t feel their heart leap into their chest when they hold hands or get nervous to talk to them when they were too close in proximity. Fuck, Nancy had a crush on Robin.
For the rest of the night, Nancy tried to think of anything else. She also tried not to look directly at Robin and Steve and made sure to converse mostly with Jonathan and Eddie. Nancy was stubborn and usually stuck to her guns. She kept her eyes off of the couple in front of her, and  successfully limited her talking to only respond to Jonathan and Eddie, but she still couldn’t keep her mind off of Robin.
The girl of the hour eventually switched spots with Eddie when he complained that his “old knees” were hurting from sitting on the floor for so long. Nancy immediately smelled her vanilla-scented perfume when Robin dropped to the floor beside her. They sat shoulder to shoulder and knee to knee. She silently cursed, wishing for the first time that Robin would go sit anywhere else.
“Hey, Nance,” Robin offered a small smile that Nancy knew better than to believe was real. She knew all of Robin’s tells, enough to know that she was nervous, “We haven’t really talked all night. How’ve you been?”
“I’m- Everything’s been fine.” She answered almost coldly.
It’s not that she meant to come off as mean, she just wanted to seem uninterested, maybe a little aloof, so that Robin wouldn’t push her any further, but her bitterness and jealousy got the better of her.
“Well, I missed you tonight,” She nudged Nancy’s side with a playful smile, obviously trying to emit a laugh from her upset friend, but to no avail.
The close proximity and Robin’s good intentioned prying was putting Nancy on edge, even more than she was previously. Having Robin this close to her was both electrifying and maddening at the same time. On one hand, her presence was always warm and welcome. Robin could make her smile on her worst days. But tonight, Nancy’s revelation made her stomach churn and the sandy blonde girl’s knee touching her own made her nauseous. It was too much for her to handle all at once.
“Yeah, well looked like you were just fine hanging out with Steve.” Nancy’s eyes widened at her own words. She had no idea where her biting words and harsh tone came from, but they were out in the open now. She couldn’t take them back, nor could she bear to look at Robin after she said them, her eyes trained on the carpet below her.
“N-Nance, I-”
“I’m going to head up to bed,” Nancy jumped to her feet, addressing the whole room, “You guys can stay up a little longer though. You know where all the blankets and pillows are down here.”
Nancy ascended the stairs without another word, muffling her sobs and trying not to think of the freckled girl that sat just downstairs.
4.
It was Wednesday, which meant that per Karen and Ted Wheelers demands, Nancy had to go back to school and pick up Mike from his Hellfire Club meeting that got out at 8PM. She thought it was rather annoying, considering the mountain of homework that she had sitting on her desk, including an essay on Gatsby that was due in two days. The thought made her squirm. She hated having unfinished tasks, academic or not.
She pulled into a parking spot by the front doors so Mike could easily locate her and she could get home quicker. She put the car in park and sat back, catching a glimpse of Steve’s red BMW parked beside her and Steve leaning against the hood with headphones on and a walkman in his hand. He was waiting for someone, too. Without a second thought, she got out of the car, making her way to the brunette boy in front of her and leaned on the hood beside him.
“Hey. Waiting for Dustin?”
He shook his head, pulling the headphones off of his head and letting them rest around his neck, “No. He’s catching a ride with Will and Joyce tonight.”
“Oh..” Nancy racked her brain, “then who?” She asked, puzzled.
“Robin.” Nancy felt a pang in her chest at the familiar name. She should’ve known, “Her band practice ran late today. Usually she’s outta here by 6.”
“W-why? Why are you picking Robin up from band?” The green monster of jealousy was out to get Nancy again and she knew it. It was painfully obvious in her tone of voice. All she could do was hope that Steve didn’t hear it.
“Who else would do it?” Steve shrugged, “I won’t let her bike home past 5PM. Too many weirdos out here, you know?  So I pick her up from band practice every Wednesday, whether it runs late or not. Sometimes we get dinner afterwards or hang out at her house for a bit. S’not a bad deal.”
Nancy pictured it, Robin and Steve laughing in the booth of a diner, holding hands and sharing a milkshake, or making out in Robin’s bedroom with one of her many cassettes playing in her stereo. She knew that she was only torturing herself with those images, but she couldn’t help it. Steve painted such a clear picture in her head with so few words, or maybe that was the jealousy talking.
“That’s nice of you,” Nancy forced a smile, “I’m here to pick Mike up from Hellfire on Wednesdays, anyway. So, if you ever wanted to just.. I don’t know, let me pick her up and drop her off at home so you can have the week off, I could totally do that.”
Steve waved her off, bringing his hand to his hip, “No, no it’s fine. We like driving around together, anyway. Rob’s been showing me new music and telling me all about the band drama. It’s really more fun for me than a burden.” He paused, turning to look at the girl beside him, “If I ever can’t make it, I’ll let you know, though.”
Nancy responded with a nod and a tight-lipped smile, afraid that she’d say something she’d regret if she let herself speak.
Suddenly, Robin came walking out of the front doors of the building, clad in the Hawkins High band practice uniform. The white shirt with the green tiger on the front hugged her body in all the right places and the matching green shorts showed off Robin’s long legs. Nancy had seen Robin in her practice uniform dozens of times, usually in the hall right before she runs off to the band room so she isn’t late, but that didn’t stop her from admiring how good she looked in it.
“Ugh!” She exclaimed, throwing her trumpet case in the back seat of Steve’s car, “I’m sorry we ran so late today. The trombones kept messing up their part and Mr. Baum wouldn’t let us leave until they got it right.”
She stripped her shirt off and threw it in the backseat, leaving her in only a black sports bra. Immediately after tossing her shirt, she  slipped her shorts off, and tossed them on top of her band shirt. Nancy’s eyes were blown wide and she stared at the toned muscles of Robin’s stomach and arms for a minute before she came back to herself. She immediately looked to Steve, but he didn’t seem surprised. She tried not to think about how that meant that Robin was comfortable enough to undress in front of him, probably on a regular basis.
“Then once they got it right, the clarinets couldn’t get their shit together and the same rule applied and now here we are, going home 2 hours late.” She finished as she reached in the car to grab pair of green Hawkins High basketball shorts and slip them on.
Nancy had seen those shorts before. They were Steve’s. She’d seen him wear them countless times, from secret sleepovers at her house when they dated, to Friday night hangouts a couple weeks ago. Of course Robin would wear Steve’s clothes. It was extremely common for girlfriends to steal their boyfriends’ clothes, but still, it bothered Nancy.
When Robin was finished with her rant and getting dressed, she took a breath and looked up, cheeks growing red at the sight of the Wheeler girl in front of her.
“Oh god, Nance, I’m so sorry. I didn’t realize you were there. If I did I wouldn’t have…” She gestured over her body, “I’m used to it just being ol’Stevie and I out here,” She chuckled nervously, rocking on her heels.
“No, I- uh.. I just… See I’m- well I’m here to pick up Mike today, so…”
Nancy Wheeler, one of the most intelligent, well-spoken students at Hawkins High was stuttering because of a shirtless, very toned, pretty girl in front of her. She could interview just about anyone for a newspaper article, take the insults of the men at the Hawkins Post, and walk headfirst into danger to fight the Mindflayer or Vecna and do it all with her head held high and unwavering confidence, but the minute Robin Buckley strips her shirt off, all of it goes away and she brings up her brother, of all people.
“Right, Hellfire Club meets  today,” Robin said, a warm smile gracing her features, “It’s really nice of you to pick your brother up.”
Suddenly, Mike’s walking towards her car, a wide grin plastered on his face as he turned around to say his goodbyes to Eddie and his friends. He stood beside his sister when he reached the car. Nancy was still struggling to speak, her mouth and opening and closing like a fish out of water.
“Yeah, well- My um, my parents wanted me to- They don’t want to come back here so-so I do it.”
Mike rolled his eyes beside her, “Nance, let’s go.” He groaned, already impatient.
“Yeah, uh we should go!”
“Us too,” Robin added, “Gotta go grab some dinner, but I’ll see you before first period tomorrow?”
“Totally!” She immediately winced at her over-eagerness.
“Come on, Nancy!” Mike nagged, throwing his head back.
“See ya tomorrow!” Robin laughed as she rounded the BMW to get to the passenger side. She slipped into the car beside Steve.
“B-bye Rob!” She called, but the BMW was already gone.
5.
Nancy had been stopping by the video store much more frequently than she’d ever admit. She wan’t exactly one for movies, that was more Mike’s territory, but she did have her eye on  one Robin Buckley that worked the counter at Family Video. So every day after school, Nancy would drive to the video store with some excuse. Mike wanted to see the new Star Wars movie, her mom wanted a nice rom-com to cuddle up with that night, Holly wanted to see the My Little Pony movie were all excuses that she used, and none of them were true. She was just  too embarrassed to admit that she showed up just to see Robin.
Nancy pushed the heavy glass door open as the bell above it chimed, signalling herr arrival. She didn’t see Robin at the counter this time, only Steve and a big pile of returned tapes beside him. Nancy didn’t panic just yet, Robin could be stocking or rewinding tapes.
She entered the empty store and made her way to the counter, looking around for the familiar sandy blonde mop of hair to pop up between the shelves, but it didn’t show.
“Hey Steve,” Nancy greeted, trying to see past him to the open door of the back room, which to her dismay looked to be empty.
“Nance,”  He responded as he  sorted through the tapes beside him, “What can I do for ya?”
She realized that she didn’t come up with excuse for today’s visit, so she had to think fast.
“I came for me today, actually. I want to have a movie night, but I’m not sure what to watch.”
Steve chuckled, he was definitely onto her, “Recommendations are more Robin’s thing, since she has better taste than me, but you can take a look around.”
Nancy just nodded and turned around to scour the shelves for her favorite blonde. She refused to believe that she wasn’t here. Nancy tried to convince herself that she could have been sitting on the floor between shelves, but even she knew that she was being delusional, as Robin definitely would have popped up to say hi to her by now. So she searched the empty store for a movie that she probably wouldn’t watch.
Suddenly, the bell above the door rang out again and Nancy could only hope that it was Robin starting her shift late. She craned her neck to see over the shelves and she quickly saw that it was not Robin. A tall, curly blonde wearing way too much lipgloss walked up to the counter and leaned on it, popping her bubblegum in her mouth.
“Do you have a copy of The Poltergeist?” The girl asked without greeting as she stared Steve down like she wanted to eat him for dinner.
“Y-yeah, uh we definitely do,” Steve answered as he rounded the counter and took the girl’s hand, leading her to the horror section, “You know, I heard that this movie is really scary. You might want to find someone to watch it with you.”
Nancy knew that tone. She’d heard it countless times when she and Steve dated. He was flirting back when he was dating Robin! She hid between the shelves and continued to listen, peeking through so she could see the two as they lingered by the horror section.
“Oh yeah? Maybe I’ll do that then.” The blonde responded, biting her lip. It made Nancy’s stomach sick.
They continued to flirt back and forth until they ended up back at the counter to check out. Nancy had learned that the girl’s name was Carrie and she was a cheerleader at a school in the next town over.
She watched as Carrie scribbled her name and phone number on the back of her receipt and slipped it bsck across the counter to Steve.
“Call me. You know, in case I need someone to watch this movie with me…” Was all she said before she exited the store.
Nancy was fuming. She thought Steve had changed, but it seemed that he was just fooling everyone and he was still the same  grade A douchebag from 3 years ago.
As soon as she knew that the coast was clear, she speedwalked to the counter empty-handed. She was on a mission, “Where’s Robin?” She asked almost coldly, but she couldn’t bring herself to care.
Steve laughed, “See, I knew you only came here to-”
“Steve, not in the mood. Where is she?”
His smile quickly fell, “Uh… should be home. She called out to do some homework today. Said she was swamped. Is everything okay?”
Without another word or glance at Steve, Nancy took off toward the Buckley residence. He called out for her a few more times before she got to the glass double doors, but she kept walking. He didn’t deserve to have an explanation, Nancy decided.
Nancy’s car pulled into the familiar driveway of the Buckley’s house. It was empty, which meant that her parents were out for the night, but a blue bike with a metal basket attached to the handlebars leaned against the garage door. Robin was home.
Suddenly, she was at the door, her hand hovering over the yellowed doorbell as she took a breath, then she pushed it. Robin appeared, sliding down the hardwood flooring of the main hallway with socks on and Nancy almost completely forgot about her anger. Robin Buckley was a complete ray of sunshine. Her eyes widened in surprise when she peered through the window in her front door to find Nancy standing there.
The door swung open and Robin stood in the doorway, “Nance! Whatcha doin’ here? Not that I’m not excited to see you, because I totally am, but usually you call before you come over. Is everything okay? It’s not the Russians again is it?”
Nancy chuckled, “No, no. Not the Russians… but I wouldn’t exactly say that everything’s okay. Can I com in?”
Robin nodded and stepped aside as Nancy led the way to the Buckley livingroom like it was her own. It may as well have been, Nancy was over all the time. The girls took a seat on the couch and Robin grabbed the remote, pausing Family Ties before turning her attention to the brunette behind her.
“So… What’s wrong?” Robin asked, chewing on her bottom lip anxiously.
“Well I uh went to the video store today and saw Steve. He was flirting with some blonde girl and she gave him her number…  I was just so disgusted with him. Anyway, I came right here so I could tell you. I’m sorry, Rob,” Nancy knew that she only gave an abbreviated version of what happened, but she told Robin what she needed to know and she figured that more details would just make her more upset. But Robin still looked at her with furrowed brows, possibly more confused than she was when she saw Nancy at the front door.
“I-I’m a little lost here, Nance, I’m not gonna lie,” Robin chuckled.
“Steve cheated on you,” She stated plainly and waited for the sobs, for Robin’s beautiful features to twist into a frown, for her to launch herself forward to hold on to Nancy as she cried, but instead, Robin laughed, loud and raspy.
“You thought Steve and I were dating?”
“Y-yeah. I mean, you guys are always cuddly and holding hands and you never go anywhere without him. He drops you off and picks you up from school, for god’s sake! He doesn’t even go to Hawkins High anymore!” Nancy didn’t know why she got defensive, maybe it was because she felt a little stupid, a little confused.
“Absolutely not. Gross,” Robin chuckled, “We’re just close, is all. Though I am surprised that he managed to get a girl’s number. He usually scares them away before they can even offer.”
“So you and Steve...?”
“Very platonic. With a capital P.”
“And you...?”
“Single and very gay,” Robin giggled, still amused by the mere thought of her and Seve Harrington dating, “Thought you knew that, Wheeler.”
Nancy froze. Robin was gay, which meant that she had a chance wirh her.
“W-well, no I uh don’t-didn’t exactly know that specific piece of information,” Nancy looked down at her lap, suddenly very embarrassed, “If I did I wouldn’t have come over here…to tell you that Steve was cheating on you.”
She watched as Robin’s confident smile fell and was quickly replaced by furrowed brows and an almost frown.
“Don’t worry. I won’t like hit on you or anything,” She chuckled nervously, obviously trying to play off her hurt, “You’re uh- you’re safe there.”
Nancy felt a pang in her chest. Robin thought she was disgusted by her.
“Does that mean that I’m not allowed to hit on you either, then?” Nancy wasn’t sure where that sudden burst of confidence came from. Perhaps she was more desparate to prove that she didn’t hate Robin than she was scared to share her true feelings.
Robin’s eyes snapped up to meet Nancy’s, her smile settling back onto her lips, “N-no I’d actually love it if you would hit on me because you’re hot and funny and so smart and I’ve been dropping hints for ages. Though, Steve tells me that I’m bad at that, so it’s not really your fault if you didn’t get them. I-I’d be honored if you’d hit on me because you’re definitely out of my league, I mean… I’m rambling again, aren’t I?” Her cheeks grow red under Nancy’s fond stare.
“A little, but it’s okay. I like to listen to you talk.”
Robin beamed and Nancy swore she could see the glisten of unshed tears in her eyes. The sandy blonde cleared her throat and tried to contain her smile. Nancy wished she wouldn’t. She decided she’d do just about anything to get Robin to smile that brightly at her again, as if she hung the moon, as if she was the center of Robin’s entire world.
“I uh…thank you. No one’s ever said that to me before. Usually people just tell me to be quiet.” The taller girl shrugged, as if she’d accepted that fact. Nancy wished that she didn’t have to.
“Well, I’m honored to be the first, then.”
A few moments of silence passed over them before Nancy glanced at the TV screen to find a still of Mallory Keaton sitting on the couch and remembered that she walked in on Robin watching Family Ties. She realized that she was probably intruding on a peaceful night in and stood up to excuse herself, walking closer to Robin to hug her goodbye.
“I’m uh gonna head home and let you get back to your night with the Keatons,” She chuckled as she gestured to the TV, “I’ll see you at school tomorrow, yeah?”
“No, wait… stay?” Robin asked shyly, “I-I have popcorn in the kitchen, 2 seasons of Family Ties on tape, an extra pair of PJs upstairs, and my parents won’t be home until after school tomorrow. We could have like I don’t know, a date.”
Nancy blushed. She had to admit, a date night in sounded much better than going home. She liked Family Ties and she liked Robin even more.
“Hmm…I could be persuaded, I think. Maybe if you-” Then Nancy was cut off by Robin’s lips on her own. When the shock wore off, Nancy melted into the kiss and rested her hands on Robin’s waist, holding her close and gripping the soft cotton of her t-shirt as if Robin would get away from her if she didn’t hold on tight enough. Their lips moved in tandem as they kissed, soft and slow, like they were trying to savor the feeling, and Nancy was. She’d thought about kissing Robin Buckley for months and now that she finally was, she realized that her lips were softer and her kisses were sweeter than she ever pictured them to be.
She pulled away giggling when she finally needed to breathe, and she saw it again. Robin’s bright, toothy smile. The one that made Nancy feel like she was the center of her world, the one she tried to hide just minutes ago, but didn’t show any signs of doing so this time.
“I’ve wanted to do that forever,” Robin admitted with crimson cheeks and a quiet, giddy giggle, “So…are you persuaded?”
“Not sure.” Nancy said, feigning thoughtfulness, “Think you have to kiss me again. You know, so I can make an informed decision.”
And so Robin leaned in again for the second of many blissful times that night.

desc: “i bloody love you, steve. i love you, bloody steve!” after you find your boyfriend kissing another girl at a party, robin convinces steve to admit he has a crush on you. a night of lovey dovey, blissful partying ensues. but, when your boyfriend threatens steve and insults you, all peace and love flies out the window as steve resolves to fight for you.
tw: brief description of a fist-fight (blood, etc.)
Tumblr media
“How long has she been that way?” Robin frowned as she handed Steve a drink, the plastic cup crinkling in his firm grip.
“Too long.” His lips were pressed into a thin line, jaw tensed as he lifted the cup to his mouth, taking a rigid swig.
Robin looked over her shoulder, following Steve’s gaze.
They watched as you stood, almost catatonic, as if you were frozen in time in the corner of the lively party. Shock and heartbreak were etched into your crestfallen expression, holding your drink a little shakily as you stared at your boyfriend, on a couch in the middle of the crowded room, kissing another girl.
“He’s an asshole.” Steve’s words were venemous as he spat them out. “Y’know, I clocked it from the moment I saw him.”
Oh, Robin knew. In fact, Steve had not shut up about how much he disliked Tom ever since he walked into Family Video with his arm around your shoulder.
Even the way you had broke into the sweetest smile he’d ever seen, waving at Steve and Robin excitedly as you recognised them, hadn’t helped him get over the instant bad taste  Tom put in his mouth. He had gritted his teeth as he rung up your order that day, glaring at your new boyfriend as he punched in the numbers into the register a little harder than usual.
Steve had held out his hand for the change, but Tom had flippantly tossed the coins onto the counter, hauling you away with him as they scattered and rolled onto the surface, ignoring Steve’s outstretched hand completely.
“Red. Flag.” Steve had muttered under his breath, irritatedly picking up the coins, one by one. Robin had called it jealousy, at the time. But watching Tom kiss some random girl in front of you now, it was safe to say that Steve was right to have had a bad feeling about him.
“Well…” Robin said, eyebrows raised. “Now’s your chance.”
Steve’s eyes flickered to hers, finally breaking away from you.
“What?”
“Ugh,” Robin said, rolling her eyes exasperatedly. “You know what I mean. It’s totally obvious. You’re like, obsessed with her.”
“Pft…what…? Nah…” Steve said, voice pitching up unconvincingly as he tried and failed to play it cool.
If he were being totally honest with himself, he kinda was. Normally, no one would have had the arresting effect you had on him. He had wanted to ask you out for ages now, but just couldn’t build up the courage. A smile from you could always succeed to make him falter, much to Robin’s amusement.
“Go talk to her! Do it.” Robin said, gritting her teeth determinedly. “Just go over there, and try to comfort her, at least. I know you hate seeing her like this.”
“No…” He turned to look at you, pausing in contemplation for a little before snapping his head back to Robin. “No. No! I can’t-”
Robin’s hands gripped his shoulders.
“Do it, Steve.”
“Rob-”
“Do it, Steve!” She said, voice cresting, causing a few of the party-goers around them to turn to look at them quizzically.
“Shh!” Steve raised his hands, frantically trying to keep her voice down, shooting a glance over at you to make sure you hadn't heard. “Okay, okay. Geez.”
Robin gave him a strong shove in your direction, and Steve took in a deep breath, shaking out his hands as he psyched himself up. The thought of comforting you seemed a little daunting to him. He wasn’t great with… emotions.
“Heyyy.” Steve said in an awkwardly suave tone as he sidled up next to you.
You didn’t respond, too focused on the scene in front of you.
He cleared his throat uncomfortably.
“Anybody home?” He joked, causing you to let out a whimper.
“Oh, shit. Sorry- I just don’t really- I’m not really good at this sort of stuff.” He said, fumbling with his words.
He gulped, fidgeting as he stood beside you. He let a lull of silence slip over the two of you, turning away from you and following your gaze, trying not to puke as he watched Tom’s tongue slip into the girl’s mouth.
“Hey.” He mumbled, voice soft. “You’re a great girl, alright? I don’t want you getting all melancholic over him. He’s not worth your time. He doesn’t see your value, and… well… you have a lot of it.” He coughed out nervously. “Y’know? There’s a lot to like about you and it’s his loss if he can’t see that. You smile at me whenever we pass by each other, and… you just know how to make people feel special. I know that I…” He let out a breath, nodding slowly. “I like… I like everything about you.”
He turned to look at you, jumping a little in surprise as he met your wide eyes, now staring up at him.
“Oh. Hi. Didn’t know if you were listening.” He let out an anxious laugh.
“You really think that? All that stuff you said?” You sniffled.
“Of course.” He said. “You deserve better.”
“Like…who?”
“Are you really gonna make me say it?” He chuckled apprehensively, hoping you wouldn’t notice the blush creeping across his cheeks.
“Do you… like me, Steve? In that way?”
He swallowed thickly, turning to face away from you before nodding tensely.
“Can I kiss you?”
He turned to you, eyes wide in surprise.
“Yes.” He said, almost too quickly.
“Oh, sh-” He mumbled when your lips met his, struggling to hold up his drink as you practically lunged at him. Fuck it. He tossed the drink away from behind your back, ignoring the look of disgust the girl behind you gave him as it hit the floor, splashing against her stockings. He couldn’t care about something as stupid as that. He was in heaven. He used his now free hands to wrap around your waist, pulling you closer.
You laced your fingers around his neck, smiling into the kiss.
Once you finally managed to break away from each other, you stayed glued to each other’s sides the rest of the night, resolving to enjoy your time at the party. The memory of Tom seemed to fade, his existence seeming completely inconsequential.
The night consisted of you and Steve shooting each other gooey looks as Robin looked on in happy disgust and Steve teaching you how to shotgun as the two of you nursed the same cigarette, him admiring your lipstick stain on its end as you screamed with laughter, the beer fizzing from the can. You raided the host’s kitchen cupboard together, feeding each other chips. The two of you danced with each other, spinning each other around and yelling lyrics in each other’s faces. Never straying too far from each other, you always had his hand in his, or his arm around your shoulder. It was obvious to anyone who saw you that night. The two of you were mad about each other.
“So you’ve been in love with me all this time? Completely besotted, infatuated, obsessed?” You teased, cooing at him from your perch on his lap as your fingers ghosted his hair.
“You’re the prettiest thesaurus I’ve ever met.” He mumbled, drumming his fingers against your waist.
“You just make me feel ro-man-tick, Stevie.” You sighed, voice lilting in a sing-song manner.
“You mean, lovey dovey, amorous, sappy?”
“Clever boy.” You laughed, leaning in to give him a peck on the cheek.
Suddenly, you felt a hand curl around your arm, dragging you away from Steve. Your eyebrows furrowed as you turned around to meet Tom, face flushed with annoyance.
“Hey man, get off of her-” Steve said, jumping up.
“Say one more word and I’ll beat the shit out of you.” Tom hissed at Steve, turning back toward you. “What the fuck are you doing with him?”
“Get off of her.” Steve repeated. Tom whipped his head back toward him shooting him a vicious glare. The room seemed to quieten as everyone turned to look at the scene, the temperature seeming to rise as their anger palpably escalated, the prospect of a fight clear on the horizon.
“It’s okay Steve, just leave it alone, alright?” You gave him a tight smile, trying to defuse the situation. “I’ll go talk to Tom on my own. It’ll be okay.”
Tom scoffed. “Yeah. Don’t bother fighting for my sloppy seconds, Harrington.”
You blinked at Tom, his hand still wrapped around your arm. Sloppy seconds. You contemplated the words, so childish, so immature, so… hypocritical. You felt the pacifism drain out of your body.
You looked at Steve, your expression unreadable.
“Beat his ass, Stevie.”
Obediently, Steve pulled Tom toward him, swinging at his face.
The party exploded with frantic excitement as everyone swarmed around the two, watching with bated breath for the next move, chattering excitedly.
You cackled as Steve’s punch landed, prompting Tom to let out a pained grunt. You kept laughing, even as Robin wrapped her arms around your chest, dragging you away from the frontlines of the fight.
Your laughter stopped abruptly as Tom rose back up, swinging at Steve too.
“Oh.” You winced.
The two were fairly matched. Tom managed to get a few more punches in as the crowd watched on, some cheering and some crying out in horror as the thud of Tom slamming him against the wall reverberated through the room, blood spraying from his mouth as Tom’s fist landed against his jaw. Thankfully, Steve managed to get the upper hand while only suffering from a couple hair pulls, grappling Tom and wrestling him to the ground.
Eventually, after a fairly long, tough fight, and a little while after the audience began to grow uninterested, Tom lay on the floor, panting, exhausted, and a little bloody and dazed as Steve emerged victorious.
His eyes landed on yours as he searched for you in the crowd, reaching for you with an outstretched hand.
“Any last words?” Steve asked as he led you toward Tom.
“I’m dumping your ass!” You said, spitting onto the floor next to Tom’s face.
Steve followed suit, his spit tinted pinkish with blood.
You led Steve out of the party, letting him lean on you. The door swung shut, shutting the two of you out from the noise of the party. You wrapped him in a tight hug, jumping back as he winced a little as you pressed into a bruised rib.
“Sorry.” You whispered sheepishly. You brought both your hands up to cup his face, running your thumb across a little smeared blood on his chin. “I bloody love you, Steve. I love you, bloody Steve!” You laughed, leaning in to give him a kiss, the blood on his lips leaving a metallic tang on yours.
You handed him a can of beer, getting him to hold the cold metal up to his bruised temple.
“Come on. Let’s get you cleaned up, champ.”
