now im thinking about cercerion and how ive been wanting to do more soulsborne mockups of him as a boss, the problem is that i have way too many titles I want to give him because all of them sound so cool

so what I've compromised with until now is that he would be a three phase boss, the first phase being regular Cer (blue) "The Grief of the Storm", the second phase would be Rion (orange) "The Tyrant of the Storm" and the last phase would be both of them (both blue and orange clashing for dominance) "Cercerion, The Apocalypse"

during the last fight the more you damage his health bar the more the name glitches out and turns into "YOU REAP WHAT YOU HAVE SOWN" and the more intense the fight gets the more the map gets destroyed with huge chunks of earth flying up into the sky because of the electromagnetic field he's generating

since his whole story arc is about repenting for what he did (destroyed the world by losing control and giving into anger) it'd be really really ironic to have him be a boss fight where you FORCE him to destroy the world just to fight you

and then maybe you do kill him at the end. but at what cost.

Izzy hater logic is absolutely fascinating sometimes.

Like.

1) Complaining about fans taking sentences Izzy says as true statements of things he believes + not assuming his perspective is warped to the point of willful delusion so his beliefs have basis in reality (vs assuming if he says the sky is blue it's probably orange, I guess?): yeah ok I've seen this before, nothing special 🙄

2) Using his assessment of Edward from the middle of their 1x04 fight (a time when Izzy was canonically extremely emotional and missing important information that would impact his point) as an example: ok I think you're generalizing / misunderstanding how Izzy fans read this by a lot, but you did at least pick a strong contender for "is this character a reliable narrator right now" debates... so where is this going?

3) Pivot with your whole chest into how NOW people are just believing him when he makes a direct, uncontested statement to Edward in an intimate moment about how long they've known each other - "all my fucking life" - phrased in a way that I guess you can argue is figuratively exaggerated (ex: he's possibly not actually counting if they knew each other when he was five): well you're certainly reaching with this one, huh? 🤨

4) Claim there is a directly contradictory statement from S1 these people are just choosing to ignore and then, of all things, pull out "I was honored to work for the legendary Blackbeard" as though that clearly conveys any amount of time and is not quite literally complimenting your boss's prior career achievements: pffffft WHAT 🤣🤣🤣

seating chart by player + d20's gender splits

this one came mostly from analysis of old data--instead on the cast appearances chart, here's where everyone sat during their full seasons (oneshots are not counted here to reduce their impact as outliers)

as you'll notice, the data is repeated for the intrepid heroes sequel seasons because they were not made at the same time and this allows me to standardize and check how many people have sat in each seat more easily. also, it would mean i'd have to count everyone for each seat once, and i'm not planning on doing that right now. anyways.

for my splits:

first off, disclaimer that gender is a societal construct and that you can do whatever you want with it so long as you don't harm others. this list uses the pronouns indicated by the cast members. this list goes by the cast members' current gender--retroactively effective. if they came out after the season aired, they're still listed with their gender at the time of posting (Jan-Feb 2024).

for the sake of simplicity and not making separate categories for every nb cast member my categories are female (she/her pronouns), male (he/him), and nonbinary/gnc (they/them, other combinations of pronouns), which encompasses more complex combinations. yes the drag queens are split up because it's based on their pronouns as indicated. not everyone in the gnc group uses the same pronouns, so nonbinary/gnc is in use as an umbrella term.

so without further ado:

out of 48 cast members of dimension 20, there were 20 in the she/her category, 21 in the he/him category, and 7 in the nonbinary pronouns category

so a pretty even split wrt gender and pronoun usage overall. some seasons differ in composition, but generally there's a pretty even split (female/male/gender non-conforming) with the GM tipping the balance.

burrow's end: the intrepid heroes split in the opposite direction; 57.1% female, 28.5% male, and 14.2% nonbinary [4, 2, 1]

for our 7 person seasons, the most common split is the intrepid heroes split, of 57.1% male, 28.5% female, and 14.2% nonbinary [4, 2, 1]. This pattern goes for 12/21 seasons of dimension 20. otherwise we tend to lean to one direction or another.

for the 5 person seasons, there's a pattern of a 2, 2, 1 split, but it's evenly split between [f, m, gnc] and [f, gnc, m].

gender splits in the seating chart

for the seating chart, it's a little different. there's two ways of tallying this up; by season or by cast member. the critical difference being that the latter does not allow repeats (of the intrepid heroes generally but also other returning cast) while the former does. i suppose the other way of stating it would be that we can count it up by occurrence or by total number.

since i don't feel like calculating percentages for this set, they will be displayed as ratios, like so: [F:M:NB]. keep in mind that some seats are not used for all seasons, so the numbers that the ratios add up to will differ.

L1: by occurrence, L1 has a 9:9:3 ratio with repeats, and 7:6:3 by total number of cast, so ever so slightly female-biased

L2: by occurrence, L2 has a 7:8:1 ratio with repeats, and 5:6:1 by total number of cast, so ever so slightly male-biased

L3: by occurrence, L3 has a 11:8:2 ratio with repeats, and 8:5:2 by total number of cast, so strongly female-biased

R3: by occurrence, R3 has a 9:9:3 ratio with repeats, and 4:6:3 by total number of cast, so male-biased. the difference in total number comes from the fact that siobhan, aabria, and lily all sit in R3 on multiple occasions

R2: by occurrence, R2 has a 2:9:6 ratio with repeats, and 2:7:2 by total number of cast, so male-biased with a strong nb/gnc presence. the drop comes from ally and erika both sitting there multiple times

R1: by occurrence, R1 has a 6:11:4 ratio with repeats, and 6:8:3 by total number of cast, so strongly male-biased. as you can probably guess, the difference comes from murph sitting in his favorite seat.

GM: by occurrence, we're looking at a 4:16:1 ratio, but a 2:2:1 by total number. if you account for the fact that brennan, the in-house gm, has been in the hot seat for 15 seasons, this makes more sense.

Banri: *(possibly somewhat jokingly) insinuates Vanitas is as strong but probably stronger than Aqua*

Citron: *gasp* No!! He is not.

Banri: Really? Then how come he almost took Aqua out?

Citron[genuinely loves Vanitas]: He is a rat! He cannot beat Aqua in a fair fight!

Itaru: I believe he means brat.

Citron: No!! I mean rat, feral ferret child! Can only beat Aqua after biting her and giving her rabies! And even then, she still has at least a week to destroy him.

Itaru: lol that’s quite the metaphor.

Itaru: He’s saying Vanitas can only use dirty tricks to even get close to beating Aqua.

Citron: If Vanitas could beat her he wouldn’t have to result to tricks like firing at Ven, which she was already off her A-game then mind you. But honestly, if Vanitas can’t even get close to beating Terra what hope does he have to actually beat Aqua. I can vouch that he can’t beat Terra. I beat the Terra v Xehanort and Vanitas battle by whacking Vanitas around. It was really easy. Vanitas has only beaten Ven in a fair fight. He’s not nearly as strong as Terra and Aqua. It’s demonstrated through their elements, really. Vanitas is fire...

So yeah those are some of my headcanons involving KH and CitoIta (and Banri with minor Mankai mentions.) If anyone wants to do Taichi(who idk could play already, while I haven’t picked any out I know what type of moments would be his faves, I just can’t figure out yet if he prefers characters he relates to or characters he thinks are cool/want to be like) or Kumon (who I’d feel would want to start after seeing them enjoy it, bet Banri and Citron would have him play chronologically by timeline rather than release order “for science”) or any other characters, really, I’d gladly read it. I can see Taichi & Kumon playing KH but I don’t feel like I know them well enough to do this with them lol. I’m not even sure I know Banri well even to this with him but I attempted it lol. If there’s any questions about my decisions I might answer them, some are easier to put into words than others though. 

Anywho, I dunno how to end this post tbh. Ship CitoIta, Play Kingdom Hearts. idk.

APRIL HAD MY DISHES YOU GUYS

I'm still like... exaushted after what feels like years of stomach flu followed by fucking some like sinus infection or something??? idk I went to the ER after a while and they said they'd never really seen snot that color that was NOT infected but antibiotics didnt help much.... I guess I just had to work it out of my system

my queue kept going tho it just means I couldnt update about the "̴h̴o̵u̶s̷e̵ ̴m̶e̴e̵t̶i̸n̶g̴"̵ we had like a day or two after my little poll closed

April was kinda mad, first of all, she thought I was being "judgmental" but eventually she kinda accepted that I just wanna be able to CLEAN OUR APARTMENT OKAY?

And at this point most of it is a little fuzzy? Which is probably something I would talk to a therapist about but my really great therapist from when I lived with my fiance couldnt see me anymore after I moved across state lines (even tho these stares are so tiny that he would cross state lines for work lmaowe)

But basically April let me go into her room and collect all the fucknasty dishes she had hoarded in there, including some I hadn't seen the ENTIRE time I've lived here and I spent a day just finally catching up on dishes.... Just in time to get super sick 🎉

Oh please share your Red Son and MK related thoughts with me! I'm not quite sure what you're talking about specifically, but of course the DBK - Wukong / Red Son - MK parallel is always fun.

I don't think the Demon Bull Family will ever be shoved out of the plot entirely, at the VERY least we'll get something like how they were integrated in s4, but with Wukong, Macaque, and DBK all being previous members of the brotherhood I hope we get to explore their relationship a bit more!

I hold onto my crumbs, and so I remember Wukong's little "I've honestly missed that guy" from Revenge of the Spider Queen, and maybe deep down I want that to be explored. It seems like we're going to get into why Wukong stayed up on flower fruit mountain for all that time, and part of that might involve why he sealed DBK away/his feelings on that whole situation. And honestly if DBK is involved, then Red Son is involved. Red Son's admiration for his father is very similar to the admiration MK has for Monkey King, so maybe there's something to be explored there!
