if you told me there was a mcu movie featuring a cats the musical song, two alien species of the queerest looking people ever, including one that can only communicate through song and dance, mentions of fanfiction, three female superhero leads, only one of whom is white (and she has multiple romantic coded interactions with other women), found family, and iman vellani living her best life?? i absolutely would not believe you. anyway everyone should go see the marvels.

One part I really liked in The Marvels was after Carol snaps at Kamala during battle she apologies?? And says “I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have spoken to you that way”?? Like she understands that Kamala is young and looks up to her, and considers that her being harsh could hurt her confidence?? Tony Stark would never I’m just saying

my favorite characters of all time are fucking ATLA Princess Azula & fucking MCU Carol Danvers, which means I'm constantly annoyed by the fandoms as a whole and the canon-verse.

Some moments where Kamala was a total mood:

1. Asking Fury and Monica why their tablets are transparent when everything is top secret.

2. Geeking out when she puts on a comm unit (and Monica saying something like baby we hear you loll)

3. Making sure to find out what SABER stands for.

4. Getting excited at Fury having 'intel' on her.

5. Dancing on Aladna.

6. Agreeing that she's totally writing fanfic after seeing Yan and Carol together.

7. The Kree hiding from her in fear and her telling them she can't fly so can she have a space ship or something.

8. Going after the SABER crew with the flerkittens.

9. Sweeping her house when there was a literal hole in the roof 😭😭😭

10. Carol saying she feels lonely and her immediately replying that she will drop high school to spend time with Carol so she doesn't feel lonely.
