Look…
… Thunderbirds (2004) is not a good movie.
But if they’d just listen to my suggestions it could be a better bad movie.
#Firebird Randomness#did I ever tell y'all I LOVE cheesy 200s and 2010s movies??#bc I do#while I don't care about the source material at all#in fact Gerry sounds like a dick#I do agree that this film leaned too hard on the 'kid hero' aspect when the family angle would have worked better#give the brothers and the father something to do in the space station#maybe hurt John more so he has to direct them around#cut back and forth more let them participate in their own rescue#give more communication#it will never be a work of cinema genius but I think it'd be a better bad film#a fun kinda bad#unlike some people I don't mind kid heroes I think it's fine to have them#and by gods those kids were young back when kids played kids#but I think there was a strong family aspect that got ignored#also I have a crush on Lex Shrapnel as John Tracy FIGHT ME GERRY YOU COWARD#I wish there was more about them#esp learning that Bill Paxton practically adopted them all XD#but yeah like focus on the emotional#like that bit where they try to give them control back and fail the kid playing Alan really tugged at my heart there#I wished we could've had more of thatm#focus on his individual relationships w/ his brothers and father#I absolutely think it would have benefitted from a longer pause to address the gravity of 5 being damaged#imagine if they tried to call John but couldn't get through and feared he might be dead#if John was unconscious#literally like my notes are: more family and MORE ANGST#Things You Didn't Know Fire Was Into

🧠🪱Wiggly Wednesday🪱🧠
(This one ran away with me, whoops)
Batboy_Kas: Um ... dude, what? 🤨
This is the dm that greets Steve when he pulls his phone from his back pocket to check his Instagram. One confused frown, some scrolling, and one near-heart-attack later, he concludes that he forgot to lock his screen when he put the phone away earlier.
Which caused him to somehow end up on this random stranger's profile.
And go to his DMs.
And send him a GIF.
Not just any GIF. One of a grotesquely round and jiggly, animated ass. There's a text beneath the GIF. It reads: 2iggnag lg9gajdgka hfhdgjy.
"Aw, fuck!" Steve swears, neck prickling with heat as he types his reply.
Steve_Hairington: Shit, sorry. My ass typed that 😅
Batboy_Kas: Fitting choice of gif 🍑
Steve_Hairington: Yeah I guess
Batboy_Kas: You could say it's a ... smart ass
Steve snorts a laugh. What a dork! He's still debating if he should reply or leave it at that when Batboy_Kas sends his next message.
Batboy_Kas: So ... not even the tiniest chance you were flirting with me?
Steve_Hairington: Sorry dude. I prefer my men-
(He pauses to squint at the guy's profile pic. A cute little cartoon bat.)
-a little more human-shaped.
Batboy_Kas: Hey! That's just bc you've never had a creature of the night b4 🦇😉
Steve_Hairington: 🤣🤣🤣 Nice try, bat boy!
They end up texting (and flirting) regularly. Kas - named after some vampire dude from that dungeons and dipshits game Dustin enjoys - is a huge fantasy and music nerd, can keep up a string of banter for hours, and his dms quickly become the highlight of Steve’s days.
He knows better than to meet random faceless and nameless strangers from the internet, he really does. But when Kas says he's in town for work some two months later, Steve is a bit embarrassed at how fast he agrees to a date.
Kas doesn't really beat the vampire allegations when he shows up at their meeting point, skittish and nervous, clad in an oversized Metallica hoodie, drawn all the way over his head inspite of the sunny weather, dark shades obscuring his eyes.
He's cute, though. Sweet and almost shy without the distance and a screen between them, but still with that quick wit and edgy sense of humor Steve has come to like so much. A deep, rich voice that makes something inside Steve’s belly tingle, a hint of dark curls spilling out from his hood, and strong, calloused hands covered in rings, the edges of black tattoos disappearing into his sleeves. It makes Steve wanna take the stupid hoodie off him so that he can see all of him.
Which is exactly what he does when they take it to Kas's hotel room later that night. And God, the man is gorgeous. Dark, messy curls framing a pair of insanely dark brown eyes and the poutiest lips Steve has ever had the pleasure of kissing. An intricate web of tattoos that are just begging to be traced with his tongue.
Later, when they're lying together in an exhausted tangle of naked limbs and sweaty sheets, Steve snaps a photo and saves it as his phone background. He doesn't think much of it.
Until a week later, when Dustin opens his phone to read out a message while Steve is driving and starts shrieking so loudly they almost crash into a tree, bc why the fuck does Steve have a selfie of himself and Eddie Munson - frontman of the world famous metal band Corroded Coffin - on his phone and are you both naked, Steve???

My hero academia boys asking you out pt 1
warnings/tags: cliffhanger, more fanon way of acting than canon ngl, i dont think there's other warnings other than that- feel free to dm me if you notice a common warning that could affect someone
characters: katsuki bakugo, izuku midoriya, shoto todoroki, tenya ida, Eijiro kirishima, denki kamanari
🔥 Katsuki Bakugou 🔥
Bakugo seemed more agitated than usual. He kept glancing in my direction, his eyes burning with an intensity that made my heart race. I tried to ignore it, focusing on the lesson, but it was like trying to ignore a blazing inferno in the middle of a snowstorm.
When the bell finally rang, I gathered my things and started to head out, hoping to make a quick escape before he could confront me. But as soon as I stepped into the hallway, I felt a firm hand on my shoulder. I turned around to find Bakugo standing there, his expression unreadable.
“Y/N, we need to talk,” he said, his voice gruff but lacking its usual edge.
“Uh, sure. What’s up?” I replied, trying to keep my voice steady despite the rapid beating of my heart.
He led me to a more secluded part of the school, away from prying eyes and ears. I could feel the tension in the air, thick and suffocating. He turned to face me, his eyes boring into mine with an intensity that made my knees weak.
“Look, I’m not good with this kind of stuff,” he began, rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly. “But I’ve been thinking about you a lot lately. More than I probably should.”
My breath caught in my throat. Was he really saying what I thought he was saying? I tried to keep my face neutral, but I could feel the heat rising to my cheeks.
“I like you, Y/N,” he said bluntly, his eyes never leaving mine. “I don’t do things halfway, and I’m not gonna start now. So, what do you say? Will you go out with me?”...
💚 Izuku Midoriya 💚
The sun was beginning to set, casting a warm orange glow over the UA High School grounds. It had been a long day of training, and I was ready to head back to the dorms when I heard a familiar voice call my name.
"Y/N, wait up!"
I turned around to see Izuku Midoriya, his messy green hair slightly tousled and his cheeks flushed from running. He caught up to me, panting a little but with that determined look in his eyes that I'd come to admire so much.
"Hey, Midoriya," I greeted him with a smile. "What's up?"
He took a deep breath, trying to steady himself. "There's something I need to talk to you about. Do you have a minute?"
"Sure," I replied, curious about what had him so worked up.
We walked over to a bench near the training field and sat down. Izuku seemed nervous, fidgeting with his hands and avoiding eye contact. I waited patiently, giving him the time he needed to gather his thoughts.
"Y/N, we've been friends for a while now, right?" he began, finally looking at me. His green eyes were filled with sincerity and a hint of something else—something that made my heart skip a beat.
"Yeah, we have," I agreed, my curiosity growing.
"I-I really admire you," he stammered, his cheeks turning a deeper shade of red. "You're strong, kind, and always know how to make people smile. Being around you makes me want to be a better hero."
I felt a warm blush creep up my own cheeks at his words. "Thank you, Midoriya. That means a lot to me."
He took another deep breath, clearly trying to muster his courage. "What I'm trying to say is... I like you, Y/N. A lot. And I was wondering if you'd like to go out with me sometime?"...
🧊 shoto todoroki 🔥
I glanced across the bustling courtyard of U.A. High School, my heart doing a little flip when my eyes landed on Shoto Todoroki. His dual-colored hair was unmistakable, a vibrant mix of crimson and white, just like his enigmatic personality. I always found him intriguing, a blend of ice and fire, both literally and figuratively.
Today, he seemed different. He was standing a bit straighter, his eyes scanning the crowd as if he was searching for something—or someone. My pulse quickened as his gaze locked onto mine. For a moment, I considered looking away, but curiosity and something deeper held my attention.
"Y/N," he called out, his voice carrying over the chatter of our classmates. I felt a mix of excitement and nervousness as he approached me. Todoroki was known for his calm and stoic demeanor, so seeing him a bit unsettled was surprising.
"Hey, Todoroki," I greeted, trying to sound casual despite the rapid beating of my heart. "What's up?"
He stood in front of me, his mismatched eyes intense and focused. "Can we talk?" he asked, his voice steady but with an undercurrent of emotion that made me wonder what was going on.
"Of course," I replied, nodding. "What's on your mind?"
Todoroki took a deep breath, and for a moment, I saw a flicker of uncertainty in his eyes. "I've been meaning to tell you something," he began, his gaze unwavering. "I've realized that I have feelings for you, Y/N. And I was wondering if you would go out with me."
🗣️ tenya Iida 👔
I had always admired Tenya Iida from afar. His dedication, his sense of justice, and his unwavering commitment to his classmates were qualities I deeply respected. But today, something was different. I noticed him glancing my way more often than usual, and there was a nervous energy about him that I hadn't seen before.
The school day passed in a blur, my mind preoccupied with thoughts of Tenya. Finally, after our last class, I headed towards my locker, only to find him standing there, waiting for me. His usually stern face softened as our eyes met.
"Y/N," he began, his voice uncharacteristically shaky. "Could I speak with you for a moment?"
"Of course, Tenya," I replied, trying to keep my own nerves in check. "What's up?"
He took a deep breath, his eyes searching mine for a moment before he continued. "I've been meaning to tell you something for a while now. I admire your strength, your kindness, and your dedication. You inspire me in ways I can't quite put into words."
I felt my cheeks heat up at his unexpected praise, but I nodded for him to continue.
"I... I have feelings for you, Y/N," he confessed, his voice steadying as he spoke. "And I was wondering if you would do me the honor of going out with me."
🗿 Eijiro Kirishima 🗿
It was a bright and sunny afternoon, the kind that made everything feel a little bit more hopeful. The UA High School campus was bustling with students, everyone going about their business, but my mind was focused on something—or rather, someone—else entirely. Eijiro Kirishima.
I had known Kirishima since we started at UA, and over time, my admiration for him grew into something deeper. His unwavering spirit, his kindness, and his infectious smile had a way of making my heart race. Today, though, something seemed different about him. There was a nervous energy in his usually confident demeanor.
We were in the courtyard, taking a break from training. Kirishima approached me with that wide, toothy grin of his, but there was a hint of something more in his eyes.
"Hey, Y/N," he began, scratching the back of his head awkwardly. "Can we talk for a sec?"
"Sure, what's up?" I replied, trying to keep my own nerves in check.
He led me to a quieter spot under one of the large oak trees that dotted the campus. The shade provided a nice respite from the sun, but it didn't do much to calm the fluttering in my chest.
Kirishima took a deep breath, his eyes locking onto mine with a seriousness I rarely saw in him. "Y/N, I’ve been thinking about this for a while now, and I just... I need to tell you something."
I felt my heart skip a beat. Was this really happening?
"I really like you," he confessed, his cheeks turning a shade of pink that rivaled his hair. "Like, a lot. You're amazing, and I've been wanting to tell you for a long time, but I didn't know how. I guess what I'm trying to say is... Would you go out with me?"
⚡️ denki kamanari ⚡️
I had just finished my last class of the day, my mind still buzzing with the day’s lessons. As I walked down the hallway, I saw Denki Kaminari leaning casually against a locker, his usual grin plastered across his face. He saw me and straightened up, a spark of nervous energy in his eyes that I hadn't seen before.
“Hey, Y/N!” he called out, waving enthusiastically. I couldn’t help but smile back. Denki had always been a ball of energy, lighting up any room he entered.
“Hey, Denki! What’s up?” I asked as I approached him.
He rubbed the back of his neck, a sure sign that he was nervous. “So, um, I was wondering if you have any plans this weekend?”
I tilted my head, curious. “Not really. Why do you ask?”
His cheeks flushed slightly, and he took a deep breath. “Well, I was thinking... maybe we could go out sometime? Like, on a date?”

hiii babe would love a rival!bakugo x reader where they go from rivals to best friends because reader teaches bakugo how love isn’t a weakness but a strength and bakugo struggling to ask them out at the end of their third year
The sound of fists slamming into dummies echoed through the training grounds of U.A. High School, as Bakugo Katsuki worked up a sweat. His relentless determination to be the best pushed him to his limits daily, and today was no different. The only thing on his mind was victory—until you showed up.
You were his rival. Ever since the first year at U.A., you had been a thorn in his side. While Bakugo excelled in power, you had a sharp, strategic mind and incredible reflexes that kept you toe-to-toe with him. Every sparring match between you two ended in a near draw or a close win, and Bakugo hated it.
“Yo, Bakugo!” you called from across the grounds, your voice cutting through his focus.
“Tch,” he grunted, wiping sweat from his brow, and turned to face you, his usual scowl in place. “What do you want, loser?”
“Looks like you’re working hard as always. Still trying to blow up the world?”
“Shut up. What do you care?” His red eyes glared at you, but beneath the aggression, there was something more—something he’d never admit.
You smirked and shrugged. “Just checking to see if you’ve figured out that maybe, just maybe, there’s more to being a hero than blowing stuff up.”
Bakugo’s lip twitched in frustration. You were always saying stuff like that, trying to get under his skin. But the truth was, you weren’t wrong. Deep down, he knew there was more to being the number one hero than just raw power, but every time someone pointed it out—especially you—he felt the urge to push back harder.
“Like you’d know anything about it,” he snapped. “I’m the one who’s gonna be number one, not you. So don’t act like you’re better than me!”
“I’m not acting like I’m better, Bakugo,” you said, walking closer with a calm expression. “I’m just saying that strength isn’t just about how hard you can punch. There’s more to it—like, having someone’s back, even if you don’t like them.”
He scoffed. “Don’t need anyone. I’m strong enough on my own.”
You tilted your head, your expression softening. “Is that what you really think? That being alone makes you stronger?”
He froze. His mind flashed back to the battles he’d fought—some won, some lost. He thought about the times when his classmates had been there for him, even when he didn’t ask for it. Kirishima, Deku… even you. His pride fought against the thoughts swirling in his head, but the truth was undeniable.
“Tch. Like I said, I don’t need anyone,” he muttered, turning his back to you.
But you didn’t let up. “I think you’re wrong, Bakugo. You’re strong, no doubt. But you could be even stronger if you let people in.”
Bakugo clenched his fists. “The hell does that even mean?”
You took a deep breath, your eyes steady as you looked at him. “It means that love isn’t a weakness. It’s a strength. Caring about people, having friends—it makes you stronger because you have something to fight for. Something to protect.”
His heart skipped a beat at your words, though he’d never admit it. Love? That was ridiculous. He wasn’t some soft-hearted idiot like Deku. He was Bakugo Katsuki. He didn’t need anyone’s love to be strong. But why, then, did your words resonate so deeply with him?
“Love… huh?” he muttered, almost to himself.
“Yeah. Love, friendship, whatever you wanna call it. It’s not weakness, Bakugo. It’s what makes us human. It’s what makes us heroes.”
For the first time, Bakugo didn’t have a snarky reply ready. He stood there in silence, your words sinking into his mind. He hated how right you sounded. He hated that you were the one to make him realize it. And most of all, he hated that a part of him agreed.
After that day, things began to change between you and Bakugo. The rivalry still existed, but something else grew alongside it—a strange sort of understanding, even respect. He wasn’t as harsh as before, and you found yourself actually enjoying his company in some weird way.
By the time third year rolled around, you and Bakugo had formed an unexpected friendship. The competitive banter remained, but there was a new layer to your relationship—one that neither of you could fully explain. But it worked, and it made both of you stronger.
Still, there was one thing Bakugo couldn’t shake: your words from that day. The idea that love could make him stronger kept gnawing at him. He’d never really considered it before, but now that he had, there was one thing he couldn’t ignore.
He liked you.
Bakugo didn’t know when it had started. Maybe it was the way you never backed down from him, always standing up to his fiery temper with cool confidence. Or maybe it was the way you always seemed to see through his tough exterior, like you knew there was more to him than just explosions and anger. Whatever it was, it had built up over the years, and now, as their final year at U.A. neared its end, Bakugo found himself struggling with something he never thought he’d have to deal with: asking you out.
The mere thought made his palms sweat more than any fight ever had. How could he, Bakugo Katsuki, possibly admit that he—of all people—had feelings for you? That he wanted to be more than rivals, more than friends?
As the weeks passed, Bakugo’s frustration grew. Every time he saw you, his heart raced, but his brain screamed at him to stay cool. He wasn’t going to make a fool of himself. Not like this.
One day after class, Bakugo found himself pacing the school courtyard, trying to work up the nerve to finally do it. He’d faced villains, won countless fights, and survived intense training—all of that was easier than this.
“Bakugo?” Your voice startled him out of his thoughts, and he spun around to see you standing there, looking at him with a curious expression.
“Tch, what do you want?” he snapped, more out of nerves than anything else.
You crossed your arms, raising an eyebrow. “I should be asking you that. You’ve been acting weird for weeks. Is everything okay?”
Bakugo felt a lump form in his throat. This was it. He had to do it now, or he never would.
“I…” he started, but the words felt stuck. His hands balled into fists as he struggled to get it out. “I… damn it!”
You blinked, surprised by his sudden outburst. “Bakugo, seriously, what’s going on?”
“I like you, okay!?” he shouted, louder than he meant to. His face flushed red as he glared at the ground, unable to meet your eyes. “I don’t know when it started or why, but I like you. And it pisses me off because I don’t know how to deal with it. But there, I said it.”
The silence that followed felt like an eternity. Bakugo’s heart pounded in his chest, each second dragging on like an hour. He expected you to laugh at him, or worse, reject him outright. But instead, you smiled.
“Bakugo…” you said softly, stepping closer to him. “That’s all you had to say. I like you too.”
His head snapped up, eyes wide with disbelief. “W-What?”
You chuckled, shaking your head. “You’re not as hard to read as you think, Bakugo. I’ve known for a while. I just figured you’d say something when you were ready.”
For once, Bakugo was speechless. You had known this whole time, and you still… liked him? He felt like an idiot for stressing over it, but at the same time, relief washed over him.
“So… you really…?” he muttered, scratching the back of his neck awkwardly.
You nodded. “Yeah. I really do. And for what it’s worth, love doesn’t make you weak, Bakugo. It makes you stronger.”
His chest swelled with a warmth he wasn’t used to. Maybe you were right after all. Maybe this was what real strength was.
With a rare, genuine smile, Bakugo looked at you and muttered, “Guess we’re stronger together then, huh?”
And for the first time, he didn’t mind being vulnerable. Not with you.
Requests are open. Send as many as you like.

Bruce looked at the pop-up on the Batcomputer's screen.
"Explain," he growled, glancing down at Tim.
"Not much to explain," Tim answered, pulling up lines of code. "It showed up ten seconds ago."
"I'm starting a full diagnostic," Barbara said, voice filtering through the speakers. "So far, I'm not seeing anything."
"And yet..." Time trailed off glancing at the window again. It had a video queued up to play and the words "IMPORTANT: PLEASE WATCH. DO NOT DELETE" in large text at the top.
"There's a new folder labeled 'a gift for Batman,'" Tim said. "Not something any of us made."
"Clearly."
"I'm still not finding any viruses, corrupted files, or spyware," Oracle said. "The new folder was programmed to stay in a hidden partition for a few days after it was placed. Then, obviously, the pop-up to catch our attention."
"Folder also has a text file named 'security notes,'" Tim said. "Maybe our new hacker is friendly?"
"It's starting to look like it," Oracle agreed. "The video is clean. It should be safe to watch."
Bruce sighed. "Then let's see what they've got for us."
-
The video opened with a dark room. The background hidden in shadows, while the foreground was well lit, letting them clearly see the tired teen in the center of the frame as he took a heavy swig from his mug before putting it down.
"Pulling up facial recognition."
He ran a hand through his messy black hair and then down his face, pinching his nose and hiding the bags under his blues eyes for a moment before he dropped his hand and finally looked at the camera.
"I really don't want to do this," he said, "but you need it." He glanced longingly off screen in the direction of the mug he'd put down.
"First of all, I think I should apologize for hacking you. Or asking my friend to, technically. I just. You need to know about this and I didn't know of another way to get it to you that would be secure.
"I did at least make him promise to make a record of how he got in so you can patch that.
"That out of the way... to business? I'm Danny Fenton, for the last year or so I have also been the hero Phantom in Amity Park. My parents are Jack and Maddie Fenton. They are ectobiologists and ghost hunters. While extremely biased and not actually that good at catching ghosts, their tech is easily the best in the business."
"That's a positive match."
"Running a search on Phantom."
"I- fucking shit." Danny put his head in his hands again, running them back through his hair before leaning back, almost collapsing into the chair.
"This kid has... gotten into some shit."
"Everyone knows you're the League's strategist, Batman. And. I'm strong enough. I can handle my problems, that's not what I'm worried about.
"It's been about a year and I've already been mind controlled once." Danny laughed. A dry, broken, almost desperate laugh. "And that was just some lowlife that wanted to rob jewelry stores. I'm still not worried about. It's not why I'm sending you this. The magic relic he used is broken and gone now."
"Well that explains one of his problems."
"The others?"
"An attempted kidnapping and fairly standard property damage. I want to see some footage of those fights before passing judgement."
"Even more standard given he doesn't seem to have a mentor. Batman, he was fourteen."
"No. I. I've seen a version of the future. One where I go mad. Where I snap. And the Justice League can't stop me.
"I don't know if I- he kills everyone. I don't know who, if anyone, makes it out. But it's not anyone that could really do much. I... I saw ten years after he- I snapped. Earth was little more than rubble and ash. Only one city was left holding out and it was about to fall- was falling when I got there.
"I've managed to change the time line. What broke him didn't happen here. But. I can't guarantee nothing ever could.
"So. Yeah. Next best thing is making sure you're prepared. All my powers. All my weaknesses. Everything I know of that could possibly hurt me. Schematics and blue prints for anything you could need to fight me, track me, keep me out, keep me contained. All nice and giftwrapped for your convenience.
"Uh... that's everything. Why is it always so awkward to end a video? Hopefully we never see each other? I guess? Pretty sure us actually meeting is gonna be a bad sign.
"You know what. I'm gonna turn this thing off now before I say something stupid."
-
"Batman, who's 'Phantom'?" Superman asked, glancing up from the Watchtower computer he was working at. "Aren't we supposed to vote on new members?"
Batman grunted. "He's not a member, just someone who understands the need for contingencies."
"You know what, I'm not gonna even ask."
"Probably for the best."

The Diamond Queen
Tumblr media
Soldier Boy/Ben x f!supe!reader
Summary- you loved Soldier Boy, but he almost killed your brother which made you erase him completely from your life… until he pops back up
Warning- A LOT OF DIALOGUE, ooc ben(slighty), mentions of 9/11
wc- 1.5k+
-
"I think I know who can help us find this weapon." Says Annie and everyone turns to her.
"Who?" Asks MM.
"Diamond Queen."
"Noir's twin sister?" Butcher asks and takes a step forward while squinting his eyes. "Nobody's heard from her since 9/11 when she redirected the plane that was intended to hit the Pentagon."
"Yeah, she is a national hero for that b-but im sorry what does she have to do with Soldier Boy? I mean Noir is her brother and all so she had to have met him at some point but I don't see how she could help." Says Hughie.
"She can help us because she was Soldier Boy's fiancé."  Maeve's voice pierces through the air and they all look at her.
"What about Crimson Countess?" Asks Frenchie.
"All an act by Vought, just like when me and Homelander were together," Maeve responds.
"This is huge why are we just finding out about this?" Hughie asks in complete shock. MM sighs and cracks his knuckles.
"Because. Don't think the world or really Vought wanted to see the Golden Son with a black woman, even if she is a supe."
"Vought doesn't mess with her, they give her what she wants and leave her alone, in turn, she won't mind control all of them and tell them to jump off a building." Maeve finishes and Kimiko taps Frenchies shoulder and signs,
Who's Diamond Queen?
"Oh yes. Uh her name is Y/n L/n, her skin turns to Diamonds so it makes makes her impenetrable. But when she isn't diamonds her skin is like Translucents. Her telepathy is dangerous, it's even rumored that she could control every mind in New York and make them do her bidding. As for her telekinesis, it's strong enough to stop a crashing plane coming at full speed." Frenchie whispers to Kimiko and she takes in every word.
They knew they needed the weapon that killed Soldier Boy but they were underpowered and getting desperate. So they all collectively agreed that Diamond Girl was their best chance.
"Now let's go pay the telepath a visit?"
-
You sensed a large group of people the second they stepped foot on your property. You had a nice house on your own property, a courtesy from Vought
Three were normal, two were supes, and one who you couldn't get a grip of what you were sensing. Their thoughts were loud.
What if she's dead?
What if she doesn't even want to hear us out and makes us slit our throats for even asking? It wouldn't be the first time.
What if she wasn't engaged to Soldier Boy?
The mention of your old lover made you drop the dish you were washing. There was no way they could know about that. You felt like you couldn't move like you were trapped in your mind. You were brought out of it due to the loud banging on your door. You wiped your hands on your pants and shakily walked to the door.
You opened the door and the man you instantly knew as William Butcher appeared.
"William Butcher." You looked at him and them behind him. "Hugh Campbell. Marvin Milk. Starlight. I've seen you all on TV but I don't know your names." You pointed at the man and the Asian girl, with the slightest twitch of your eye. You smiled. "Serge, or Frenchie, and you are Kimiko."
"Fascinating." Says Frenchie and crosses his arms.
"What do you want?" You ask and swallow, already knowing the answer.
"We need your help," Hughie says and you bit your inner cheek.
"You don't need me." You say and start to close the door but Butcher stops it
"We have a plan to take down Homelander." At the mention of the man's name, your breath hitches.
"Nobody can kill Homelander."
"That's the same thing they said about your fiancé's love." You froze and your jaw slacked.
"H-How did y-you-."
"I know a lot do things, just like I know that you know your lover didn't just die from a nuclear bomb." You glare at the Australian before opening the door and walking away. They took the invitation to come in and all piled in your house. You sat down and looked at the kitchen and swirled your fingers. Everyone watched a tray lift and cups move out of the cupboard. From there the refrigerator opened and a water filter came out and started filling up the cups.
"Why do you want from me?"
"We need you to work your magic and get us to Russia." Says Butcher and a small tray with a teakettle a cup and an assortment of teas floated towards him.
"What's in Russia?" There was a deep breath that came from Annie.
"The weapon that killed Soldier Boy."
"I can find minds, not weapons." The tray of cups of water set itself on the coffee table and everyone grabbed one, besides Butcher.
"We need your mind magic and get us to Russia." MM chimes in.
"How?"
"There is a woman who I have a history with. Bad history. She can get us a plane to Russia but she is proving to be a bit difficult." Frenchie responds.
"What's in it for me?"
"Justice for your former future hubby." You let out a loud scoff before chuckling, confusing everyone there.
"You think I want justice for that son of a bitch after what he did?" They all looked at each other not knowing what to think. "I'll do this to help you kill Homelander, me and Noir talk so I know what he does. But not for Soldier Boy."
"Well just as long as it gets done, I don't care who you're doing it for."
-
You got 'Little Nina' to arrange a plane for 'The Boys' as they have been calling themselves.
You kept this deal away from your brother, making sure that he wouldn't find out about Butcher or the others being at your house.
After Noir's 'accident' and he lost his ability to talk. You had built a connection between the two of you so you could communicate wherever you were(as long as both of you were in an acceptable range) and whenever.
Quite literal Twin Telepathy.
You watched The Boys begin to board the plane. You had to make sure everything went smoothly with Little Nina's men. But just as you were about to leave, Hughie stopped you.
"Hey Diamond Queen, can I ask you a personal question?"
"Oh, Hughie please don't call me that, that name and life is behind me. And no you may not but I know you are regardless."
"Oh sorry. Well, I just wanted to know what Soldier Boy did to you that made you hate him so much?" You crossed your arms and swallowed.
"He did something unforgivable and after he disappeared, sure I was sad but it opened my eyes to see how much of a dick he really was. Good luck to you all."
-
You haven't heard anything from any of The Boys since they left and it's already been a couple of days. You couldn't deny that getting brought back to anything Ben-related gave you memories. The good and the bad.
You had almost nothing left from Ben from your time together. Just a small box of pictures and tickets from events you had gone to together. Anything else that was his was given to The Legend, including your engagement ring.
Queenie, your Sphinx cat jumped onto the couch with you and crawled onto your lap. She purred and stretched, digging her nails into your thigh. You brought your hand behind her ears and started to scratch them, letting her blue eyes slowly close.
"Ben would've hated you." You said with a smile.
-
You're not sure how you missed someone walking onto your property. The knocking on your door startled you. You sent Queenie to her hiding spot and walked up to the door and peeked through the peephole.
It was just Hughie and Butcher. You let out a sigh of relief and opened the door.
"Hey, what's-."
"Hey, beautiful." The voice that interrupted you made you freeze. You slowly turned your head to the man and your jaw tightened.
“Ben?” Hughie and Butcher stepped back as Ben stepped forward. You looked up at him and your eyes started going glossy. “How are you here?”
“Those guys.” Ben pointed over to the two men who were off to the side. “I thought about you every day. I was worried you were gone after all this time and holy hell baby you’re still as beautiful as the day I lost you.” Ben’s hands found themselves on your face and his thumbs wiped away your tears. You let out a shuddering breath and your hands found themselves on his chest.
Ben started to lean in but he felt his body get launched back. He went through the porch railings and tumbled through the grass until he hit a tree.
“WHAT THE FUCK.”

ok, so, this has been bugging me for a bit today, but, what was Sky's reaction to when he first met Warriors? like there's got to be a strong emotion there given that Fi is also a sword spirit.
so yeah, I'm just wondering what you have planed for that.
.
.
.
.
(also great artwork it's absolutely stunning and looks really yummy)
((dont question it))
Tumblr media Tumblr media
SORRY IT TOOK ME SO LONG TO RESPOND TO THIS, I HAD TO DRAW IT.
(Lore under the cut. Sorry, I have a lot to say about this haha)
Sky’s reaction when he first meets Warriors? Awe.
They find Wars last- or, well, they find his sword. The others are notably confused because they were looking for the hero. The temple that they were led to is completely empty except for a single sword atop a pedestal. Surely their lead was wrong- this can’t be it. Maybe this is the hero’s blade? And he will return to the temple? Or is this just the wrong spot entirely?
While the others are arguing with each other about what to do next, Sky steps up to the blade. It’s… a lot fancier than the ones that the heroes are accustomed to. Gems are inlaid into the guard, fabric is woven around the grip in a familiar pattern. There are diamonds that run down the blade and a piece of blue fabric is tied around the ring of the pommel. This level of decoration is not usually suited for a sword to be wielded in battle. In fact, the only sword that he’s known to be this beautiful and but also effective is currently strapped at his side. As Sky walks closer, he can see the blade glow unnaturally, and his voice echoes through the temple:
“It’s a Sword Spirit,” he’d say, reaching out to the blade but not touching. Not yet.
There’s a mix of emotions when Sky looks upon the blade. He’s relieved, for he had feared that Sword Spirits had been forgotten entirely. His heart aches at the cold weight of Fi at his side, empty and quiet where she used to be full of life. It’s good, he thinks, to see a new sword shine so bright. He’s a little afraid, he’d admit, since he has unsavory memories of a different Sword Spirit. Phantom hands at his shoulders, tongue at his ear, black blades arcing in the air.
Still, Sky can’t repress the way his heart leaps in excitement, a smile at his lips, even as his hand falters in the air. Another Sword Spirit, here, right in front of him. Another opportunity to make things right, to fix things. Oh, how he misses Fi.
“This is the hero we’re looking for.”
And the others would approach, their curiosity piqued by the reverent tone of Sky’s voice. (Note that Sky had just joined them about two-ish days ago? He was the second to last to meet the Chain, the last being Wars).
No one else has met a Sword Spirit before, not even Wild or Time (who, at this point, everyone thinks is a spirit), so they’re all a bit hesitant to accept Sky’s words at face value. Sky explains that he’s met Sword Spirits before, that the Master Sword herself is a spirit. Puzzle pieces click into place but they still need more convincing. They’ll believe that Sky’s correct: that the sword in the pedestal is indeed a Sword Spirit, but they don’t agree that it’s the hero that they’re looking for.
At least, not until the spirit bursts from his sword in a flash of white light, floating in the air as Fi had done so long ago. The eight heroes stand, eyes wide, before the glowing metallic figure. Sky could cry in at the joy he feels as the spirit utters his first words to them:
“Hello, Masters.”
. . .
• Sky inherently trusts everything that Wars says because he trusted Fi. Fi didn’t lie, she was always helpful, and she told him exactly what he needed to hear every single time, even if he didn’t like it. She was calculating and intelligent and Sky (well… Link) could not have survived on the Surface without her. He trusted her with his life. Sky has no reason to think that Wars would ever lie to him, either. Especially in the early days, when he’s more robotic and less human. And so, he trusts Wars to always be honest.
• This will totally definitely 100% not be a problem guys, I promise. Wars would never lie to Sky about something dangerous. And it totally would never result in Sky getting hurt. And it’s definitely not why Wars looks so upset in the sketches I did yesterday. You can trust me. I promise.
• Sky and Wars talk a lot about Fi. Wars is curious about her, since he’s met her before in his own era and doesn’t know what happened to her. So Sky would explain that she went to sleep after his first adventure, and Wars would stare at him blankly.
“Sword Spirits do not necessitate sleep, Master.”
“I-” Sky would look away, something terribly vulnerable in his eyes. His voice would be sad and quiet as he continued: “I know.”
• I know I’ve talked about this before, but Sky is the most knowledgeable about Wars. He understands. And so his interactions with Wars are a lot easier for the Sword Spirit than with the others. The others don’t like being called “Master.” They don’t like the matter-of-fact way he talks, how he calculates every sentence before speaking it, how he uses percentages and simulations to back up his arguments. (How he always wins arguments). And Sky doesn’t necessarily like these things either, but he’s always patient. Always gentle. He allows Wars to call him “Master” because he understands how much Wars needs it. When Wars goes off on tangents and describes every bit of data he can think of, Sky sits and listens and they talk and it’s just so easy. Sky is probably Wars’ favorite, just for that.
• The REASON that Sky is so supportive of Wars goes back to the one thing that drives him through literally everything in his life: guilt. He said goodbye to Fi much too soon. She was just starting to open up, to feel and express her emotions, when their time ran out. He never got to know the person she’d end up to be, and he’s not making that same mistake again with Warriors.
I think I’ve talked about this before? How when Sword Spirits are young, they talk robotically and don’t express themselves, but as they mature and are around more people, they kind of adopt their traits and become a more well rounded person? Fi, for example was only around for what? A few months? Ghirahim had thousands of years to develop. That’s the difference between “According to your social customs, I should provide you with my personal designation. Fi is the name I was given,” and “You may call me Ghirahim. In truth, I very much prefer to be indulged with my full title: Lord Ghirahim. But I'm not fussy."
Sky wants to see Wars grow in the way that he never got to see Fi. He wants to know Wars. Not just as a spirit, but as a friend.

night patrol
Tumblr media
during a quiet night patrol, you and bakugo engage in deep conversation, sharing thoughts about what life might be like without the constant demands of hero work.
----
the city was quiet as you and bakugo patrolled the streets, the distant hum of traffic and the occasional rustle of leaves providing a serene backdrop to your nightly duty. the moon cast a soft glow, illuminating the path ahead and highlighting the strong features of your partner's face. bakugo walked beside you, his usual scowl softened by the calm of the night.
"so, how's patrol treating you?" you asked, breaking the silence that had settled between you.
bakugo glanced at you, his red eyes reflecting the moonlight. "it's fine. quiet, but i guess that's a good thing."
you nodded, appreciating his straightforward answer. bakugo wasn't one for small talk, but you'd learned to understand his unspoken words and subtle gestures. tonight, however, something felt different. there was a tension in the air, an unspoken feeling hanging between you.
as you continued your patrol, you couldn't help but steal glances at bakugo. despite his explosive personality, you'd grown to admire his determination and strength. there was more to him than met the eye, and tonight you felt a pull to know him better.
"bakugo," you began, choosing your words carefully, "do you ever think about what it would be like if things were different? if we didn't have to patrol and fight all the time?"
he looked at you, surprise flickering in his eyes before he quickly masked it. "what do you mean?"
"i mean, what if we had normal lives? what would you be doing right now?"
bakugo stopped walking, considering your question. "i don't know. i've never really thought about it. being a hero is all i've ever wanted."
you smiled softly, finding his dedication admirable. "it's good to be passionate about what you do. but sometimes, i wonder what it would be like to have a normal life, too."
he studied you for a moment, his expression unreadable. "and what would you be doing if you weren't here, on patrol with me?"
the question caught you off guard. you hadn't expected him to turn it back on you. "i don't know. maybe i'd be at home, reading a book or watching a movie. something relaxing."
bakugo grunted in response, resuming his pace. "sounds boring."
you laughed, the sound echoing through the empty streets. "not everything has to be exciting, bakugo. sometimes, it's the quiet moments that mean the most."
he didn't respond immediately, and you wondered if you'd said something wrong. but then he spoke, his voice softer than usual. "i guess… i wouldn't mind having more quiet moments."
you looked at him, surprised by his admission. "really?"
he nodded, avoiding your gaze. "yeah. i mean, being a hero is great and all, but… sometimes it's nice to just… be."
the honesty in his words touched you. "i understand. i'm glad we have this time together, even if it's just for patrol."
bakugo stopped again, this time turning to face you fully. "you know, you're not so bad to have around."
your heart skipped a beat at his words. "thanks, bakugo. you're not so bad yourself."
he scoffed, but there was no malice in it. "don't get used to it."
you smiled, feeling a warmth spread through you. the night seemed even quieter now, the space between you and bakugo charged with an unspoken connection. as you continued your patrol, the silence was no longer awkward but comforting, a testament to the bond you were forming.
eventually, you found yourself at the top of a hill, overlooking the city. the view was breathtaking, the lights twinkling like stars beneath the night sky. you and bakugo stood side by side, taking in the sight.
"it's beautiful," you murmured.
"yeah," bakugo agreed, his voice unusually gentle.
you turned to him, your eyes meeting his. In that moment, everything else faded away. the city, the patrol, the responsibilities, they all disappeared, leaving just the two of you.
"bakugo," you whispered, "thank you for being here with me."
he reached out, taking your hand in his. his grip was firm, yet comforting. "i'm glad you're here too."
as the night stretched on, you and bakugo stayed on that hill, sharing quiet conversations and enjoying the rare tranquility. in that peaceful moment, you knew that this was just the beginning of something special.

Maria brings you your travel cup as you acknowledge her with a quiet thanks under your breath. You try not to turn your attention from the person on the other side of the table. You keep your rehearsed smile in place, nodding as you open the cover of their book and write their name inside before leaving a message and your signature below. They ramble on but you don't mind so much, their passion is entirely flattering.
You still can't believe this is your life. You're a writer. Not that freelancer knocking out commissions for pennies, by an author. It's your second novel and by your publisher's declaration, a hit. You suppose you wouldn't be on a book tour if it wasn't.
You pause to have a sip of coffee. You've been here all morning. That there were people lined up before opening assured you of the long day but it just doesn't seem to stop. At the end, you're set to do a reading and giveaway a collector's edition of the book. Your longing for your hotel room only grows deeper as your hand cramps and your eyes sting.
The next reader steps up, his book well-worn and clutched in his slender hands. He's thin and short, with a swoop of blonde hair over his forehead.
"H-hi," he sputters as he goes to set his book on the table but it hits the edge and falls to the floor, "oh, s-sorry, I'm sorry."
He's almost frantic as he bends to retrieve it and places it in front of you. You smile at him as one of the store's branded bags dangles from his elbow. He has to buy a book to get a signature. You pull his well-read copy towards you, the cover wrinkled and the spine cracked.
"You know, I could sign both..." you offer, "since you spent the extra money."
"Oh, oh, n-no, that's... that's okay. Um, thanks. Just that one." He smooths his hair with a shaky hand, "sorry, I've been awake since two in the morning. Too much caffeine."
"Tell me about it," you kid as you hold his book open, "I can tell you really liked the book."
"Ye-yeah, yeah, so much," he seems ready to burst as his blue eyes light up, "you know, I really love Emeris. He... I don't want to be lame but... he's like me. You know?"
"Oh, yeah," you agree kindly, "he's one of my favourites."
"Most writers -- I read a lot -- they always have the typical hero. Big and brawny, but you mad Emeris strong in other ways."
"I tried," you reply. "Anything in particular you want me to put here?"
"I... I can't think of anything," his eyes go wide, "I've been looking forward to this forever and I didn't think."
"That's okay," you assure him and uncap your pen, 'Keep on the path, my brave Emeris,' you weave onto the page. You sign your name and slide the novel across to him.
He takes it and opens it, reading as his nervousness breaks into a smile. He peeks up at you, closing the book to bring against his chest.
"Thank you!" He beams.
"No problem, you sticking around for the Q&A?"
"Oh yeah, my friend wants to go get a snack but we'll be back," he proclaims. "Thanks so so much."
"Yeah, no worries," you subtly look to the line.
"Oh, uh, I won't keep you any longer," he waves his hand apologetically, "can't wait for your reading."
"See ya," you return and turn to the next person, a girl in deep red plaid, a brand new copy plopped down before you.
You just have another hour until you get to sit in front of all these stranges and try not to get tongue-tied. It should be easy by now but those butterflies in your stomach still flutter. More coffee, next book.
📖
The Q&A goes about as well as any other. It was good fun but entirely exhausting. You're ready to just go as the winter sky darkens fast outside the bookstore windows. Maria stops you to talk about your train ride tomorrow and the next venue. You beg her to let you go back to the hotel.
"I told you it was going to be a lot," she chuckles.
"You did. And just like you said, I'm tired, so please, I have a tub with jets waiting for me."
"Just make sure you don't stay up all night writing your next bestseller," she winks.
"You're telling me to get sleep?"
"I'm a great sleeper, I just happen to sleep best while commuting," she shrugs, "fine, go. I'm just going to talk to the owner quick."
"Alright," you utter through a yawn and cover your mouth, "I'll see you tomorrow."
You leave the bookstore and the chill air blows into your open coat. You shiver and clutch the strap of your bag. The bright sign of a Korean shop catches your eye. You're so tired of the bland hotel room service, you can spare ten minutes and a couple bucks.
You cross the street and enter the shop. The lights are low and the din is soft. You approach the counter, perusing the menu laminated on top and order some hoison noodles.
You hear muffled chatter from the corner and sway, trying to ignore it. After paying, you move over to wait for your take-out. As you do, you sense someone watching you. You peer over and see an eerily familiar set of blue eyes. It takes you a moment to recall the skinny man from the signing.
He's with another sat across from him. A bigger man with dark hair and wide shoulders. He shakes his head and catches the blond's hand before he can wave at you. He hisses something at him and you quickly look away.
You're still getting used to that. It doesn't happen too often but it's still awkward. You face the counter and take out your phone, a way to make yourself look busy.
You try not to hear but it's so quiet in the place, "Steve, quit, she doesn't wanna talk to you."
"I know. I just wanted to say hi," the hiss blows back.
Your order number is called and you grab it with a thanks, eager to flee before the situation can devolve. As you go to the door, you hear a groan under the jingle of the bell above you.
"Great, Buck, you always got be a buzz kill..."
You don't look back as you walk away from the shop, searching out a taxi as the smell of the noodles torture your empty stomach. You might just fall asleep before you can enjoy your prize.

Babysitter
Tumblr media
Metal Bat x Reader
Summary:  You are the babysitter of the one and only Metal Bat's little sister. But what happens when a certain man starts liking you?
---
Zenko specifically asked for you.
She wanted you to be her babysitter since she liked you so much. You met her when she was waiting for her brother to pick her up, you were concerned to see a child alone so you walked up to her.
You noticed that she was a very strong person immediately. And so, you agreed to be there for her.
She needed you a lot, when she had practice or when her brother was busy with his hero stuff, you took care of her.
And while you looked after Zenko, a certain hero had his eyes on you. But of course, you didn't know about that. You would have never thought that a man like Bad will like you, so you just contiued with your secret crush.
One time you went to pick up Zenko after her practice, when you noticed Bad standing there.
"Oh." you said as he looked at you.
"Y/N."
"Hello Bad. I thought I will have to pick Zenko up."
"I didn't have anything to do so I came, I should have called you not to come."
"It's okay, I promised her that we would stop at the donut shop in front of the station, will you join us?" He looked a bit surprised.
"You shouldn't treat her this many time. I heard you treated her to ice cream the other day."
"It's okay, I like spending time with her."
"At least let me pay you back." he said as he reached for his wallet.
"No no. It's really okay."
There was a moment of silence as you just stood there next to each other, waiting for Zenko. You finally decided to speak up.
"You know, Bad. Your sister is really something. She's so fierce, independent, I envy her, she's so fearless. I'm very thankful and happy that she asked me to look after her whenever I can."
"I like you." you looked up at the hero standing next to you, you were shocked. Did you hear him correctly?
"Huh?"
"I like you, Y/N. Please go out with me." you could only blink.
"Onii-chan!" You suddenly heard Zenko. She rushed to her brother and hugged his leg. Then she looked at you. "Why is your face so red, Y/N-chan?" The siblings looked at you and this only made it worse.
"N-Nothing. It's nothing. I'm just...hot. Yeah, I think I shouldn't have worn a thick jacket." you laughed awkwardly.
"Well, Onii-chan, Y/N-chan promised donuts for me, so I'm going."
Zenko grabbed his brother's and your hand and lead you in the direction of the store. You were still shocked about Bad's confession. It wasn't that you didn't like him, you did, it was just that you really didn't expect him to say something like that.
In the end, Bad paid for all of your food and drinks. As all three of you sat at a table, eating while Zenko talked about her day.
Then when she left to go to the bathroom, the silence between you two continued. You knew you needed to do something or he might get the wrong idea.
"B-Bad...I-I don't know how to say this, you, an S class hero, liking me, you shocked me. B-but I don't hate it. I also like you, it's just that I'm a bit ner-" you couldn't finish your sentence as he leaned over the table and kissed you on the lips. His lips were smooth. And when he pulled back he was blushing a bit.
"I'll take you on a date. I'll text you details later."
"O-Uhm. Okay." you said, blushing madly.
Zenko arrived back and both of you pretended like nothing happened.
***
You didn't even notice, but only a week later, you were waiting for Bad under the Christmas tree at the station. He still had five minutes to arrive. He said he will take you on a cosy date.
"Y/N!" you heard him yell. "You look beautiful." he said. a slight pink tint on his face, you assumed it was because of the cold weather.
"Thank you." although he was wearing his usual black trousers with his red shirt under, he wore a jacket today. And of course, his bat was right in his hand.
"I hope you like hot chocolate." he said as he started to walk with you following him.
"I do."
He bought you a hot chocolate which almost burnt your tongue, it was so hot. During the date you talked about yourself and so did he, you got to know each other better. You learned that he actually was a very soft person although his attitude and the way he spoke was telling you otherwise.
Bad really was an amazing person, and you felt very lucky to spend time with him, that is until a group of his fans decided to come up to you.
You would never mind fans, but they weren't nice. They kept on shoving you further away from him until you weren't even close. You decided to just wait out what would happen and stood there. You watched as they all drolled over him, some even touched him, that not only bothered you, but him as well.
"STOP!" he yelled and the girls got shocked. "I have a date, and you are taking it too far. I don't mind pictures or whatever, but now you need to leave!" he didn't even wait as he pushed the girls away and grabbed your hand, walking away. His other hand was gripping his bat in anger. Soon the two of you arrived at a rather isolated place.
"Thank you." you said so softly he barely heard you, but he did. You stopped in front of you and just stood there for a second before he turned around to face you.
"You are beautiful." he said as snow began to fall.
You decided not to say anything, you pulled him close by his shirt and kissed him. You closed this eyes and let your feelings get the best of you. You only heard your heartbeat and when he wrapped his arms around you, you hear him drop his bat.
You were so glad that you became Zenko's babysitter, now you knew you needed to find a way to tell her that you fell in love with her brother.

Note
n addition to not being that much more impressive than many in 1A, I never understood why “Explosion” was thought to be “perfect for heroics” in the first place. First of all, it’s a destructive quirk, and despite the prevalence of fire-quirked heroes, I’d expect the first reaction of most adults to a destructive quirk is to think “future-villain” - especially when wielded by a kid with no respect for property damage. Secondly, a lot of what makes it “good for heroics” is down to Bk’s intensive training - using it fly, etc - not things that would have been immediately obvious in elementary school.
Separately, I agree with what a few others have said that what makes Bk’s quirk seem so strong is his intensive training of it and his endless aggression. (Honestly, half of the kids should have found it psychologically hard to to actually attack someone with their quirk in their first class.) When other kids are actually worried about maiming someone, they’re not going to be using the constant 150% aggression like Bk.
Explosion is a 1 trick pony quirk at the end of the day. Or at least it should be but Hori gives Katsuki insane plot armor. Seriously, his stun grenade, ability to attack from a range, and his smokescreen clearing strike are BS.
This is why I always say there are two school of thoughts on Explosion Quirks: villain or hero.
For me, I think people praising him really focused on the combat aspect of his Quirk because heroism had become about fighting rather then saving people. I think a bright kid, with rich parents because they're a model and fashion designer the guy has money, Bakugou was placated by others even more. His willingness to train and work with his Quirk led to him being praised more.
Its a headcanon kids like Bakugou get specialized training for his Quirk because of how dangerous it can be. I imagine the trainer was shocked by how dedicated Bakugou was and praised him. It got around and everyone knew this kid was strong, wanted to be a hero, and had a combative Quirk.
So that can be why its him being praised so much, by a bunch of people focusing on combat not anything else.
Not sure about ‘kids finding it hard to attack others’ cause kids are nasty. I remember being like six and punching another kid in the face. Plus I had a brother two years older then me, and a cousin a week younger.
The three of us were nightmares and I ain't gonna lie if I was Bakugou I’d be using it on them one time. Of course I'd be horrified by them being hurt and would have been grounded so hard.
Little kids dont really have the ability to know right from wrong and empathy is very low but Bakugou… I've pointed out how malicious the Deku name is (and I will yell it still it occurred before Izuku was diagnosis and it was never a kind nickname) for a freaking toddler and while yeah Hori did it, whole thing is still disturbing.
His attacks are a bit BS and I think Hori was having to come up with a reason he's around because he is just that guy with an explosion Quirk. Mind I personally think Hori didn't like Bakugou but when he got super popular had to keep him around.
Everyone knows my thoughts on how Bakugou's arch should have gone. He's honestly such a boring character now to me, because I had that upswing of anger at him and now it's 'and here is Bakugou with a loud Quirk who somehow despite the logical assumptions is the best above everyone'. He's so boring.
The more I really think about it, the more I wanna really have Bakugou just be there. Have Izuku move past him without realizing it, and have Todoroki take the place as rival. I am not going to lie: the idea of Todoroki staying a rival for longer then canon (and actually presenting himself as a rival early on) is attractive as hell. He's RIGHT THERE. The son of the number two hero raised to surpass All Might constantly fighting against the protoge of All Might! The drama, the action.
I'd honestly only have the reveal of Todoroki's past be when the summer camp happens, and that's when Todoroki turns from rival to friend. Not the weird ass thing Hori did with Bakugou.
But yeah, you're not wrong.

about the one yoichi post lmao
first off I want to say that I believe yoichi should have been more developed and should have gotten more screentime, but at the end of the day we can't decide how much screentime/development he gets. So I'm basing this entire rant on what we do see from him. So here's my take on yoichi's heroism.
Yoichi was born with a strong sense of justice, though I don't think that the narrative insists that he's a brave hero - I moreso agree with the point that it was pushing that he had the right heroic philosophy. And I agree that intentions aren't everything. Yoichi's sense of justice is an innate trait of this quirk (quirks are linked with personality - something mha has shown countless of times). But yes just because it's a trait he was born with doesn't mean he is heroic - actions have to be taken, or at least raising awareness.
Yoichi doesn't address all of these things and yeah it would be better if he did more to prove that he had a strong sense of justice. But he also doesn't really have to talk about these things. There are many characters who bring those issues up - though it may be rushed (that will be for a different rant).
Personally I believe that talking about systematic injustice, racism, discrimination, the problems with hero society shouldn't be things yoichi comments about. Why? Because even if he said anything - he's a vestige now. What will he be able to do about any of these things? What will izuku do about these things? Surely if vestige yoichi talks to izuku about this it would be with the goal of getting him to do something about it? Right?
But even if he talked about all of this and brought it up - I don't think story wise that it would be a good idea for the main character who only faced discrimination for being quirkless to talk about and fix all of the other issues in the show.
Also, yoichi could have very well brought those things up while he was alive - if. He had a different life. I don't think that yoichi would have made a difference yapping about all of this in the vault he was locked in.
And tbf - some of the things you pointed out yoichi never experienced or saw because they weren't a part of society at that time. Does this mean they aren't issues and shouldn't be talked about? No. But someone who doesn't have this experience can not talk ot commentate about it. Just like how it is in real life.
Your second point is a little weird. Idk if you just got the quirks mixed up but yoichi was born with the transferance quirk. And this is significant. Yoichi and all for one have similar quirks. If yoichi didn't have transferance all for one wouldn't have had his quirk, why? Because quirks are genetic. Yoichi's quirk was underdeveloped but it most likely would have been the same as all for one's since they are twins. So no transference isn't just some random quirk horikoshi picked out. .
The quirk he got from all for one also isn't by chance or something random. All for one specifically picked stockpile because it was a quirk that wouldn't harm yoichi. I'm pretty sure all for one himself said that he picked it on purpose.
OFA getting passed down is also more significant than it just being passed down by luck. Yes it was a slim chance that yoichi would be found by kudo and bruce but dumbing down the transfer as happening by "dumb luck" is just wild to me.
OFA can NOT get transferred unless it's by consuming DNA, (and) the user wanting to give OFA, it can also be passed on by force, but mainly those two reasons.
Also yoichi doesn't have to mention that his brother was a killer cause it's fucking obvious???? Also did you forget that yoichi was abused by his brother - but he was still his only family. The person with a strong sense of justice wouldn't idk kill his only family member or something? Idk what you wanted him to do exactly. He was also a child, a frail and weak one so even if he did try to do something physical it would fail. This entire point seems very victim blaming ngl.
The scene of the other users without yoichi going to kill AFO is significant. Yoichi isn't there again not because they could have been better off without him but because again. Even after everything yoichi wouldn't kill his only family. He had many regrets about his brother but it just seems contradictory If he was there to also kill him.
I'm not even gonna comment on your last point.
Uhh idk just wanted to share my opinions (also english isn't my first language so I kinda don't know if this even makes sense. Kay erm yep)

Shell 4.3
In which we finally discuss the locker
Tumblr media
Little surprised that Alec is taking the lead on this one, but pleasantly so
And yeah, here we finally get an explanation for powers and triggers and all that, or at least the foundations of it
...Also there's no way that Glory Girl triggered just because of a basketball game, that has to be a crock of shit. What's up with New Wave claiming to be the most open hero team and then coming off the shadiest? How am I trusting these people less than I trust the government capes?
Tumblr media
I like that they make a point of reassuring her after her blunder. She couldn't have known, and they know that, and they don't hold it against her. I love these kids.
Tumblr media
Brian seems more comfortable smacking Alec around than he does Rachel. I don't think that's a thing of not wanting to hit women, last arc he decked Vista like she owed him money. Maybe it's that Rachel intentionally provokes that reaction and Alec is just kind of a little shit? Idk
Tumblr media
Again, I remain utterly fixated on how this is Taylor's one line, the thing she refuses to compromise on ever. I'll buy that she doesn't want outside interference from the Undersiders or other capes when it comes to the bully situation, but it's harder to do that when she never makes a move herself.
Tumblr media
This is so. Evil. Like, the false friendship, the rotting tampons, the imprisonment. The fact that nobody who sees this play out even bothers to help her. The fact that she's trapped for hours. If that didn't give someone a trigger event, I'm not sure anything would.
Tumblr media
Alec is actually so real for this. Like for all that he was disgusted with the story (which, fair) his disgust isn't with Taylor, it's with the fuckers who did that to her. And Brian agrees with him! Lisa is making a point of not disagreeing, even.
Tumblr media
Oh hey, Taylor actually acknowledges her thing with anger and violent retribution. Glad she's cognizant of that, it'd be a whole situation if she wasn't tbh
Actually thank god for Alec keeping up this line of thinking, this might be the most passionate we've seen him get about anything. The runner up is like, him being annoyed he can't keep Kid Win's skateboard, and that's peanuts compared to this. Maybe he's wrong about the revenge thing but I don't know that he is, and he's definitely not wrong about the indignity that Taylor is allowing herself to suffer
Tumblr media
I don't think this is half the lie that Taylor thinks it is. For all that she has noble intentions, and I don't doubt she'll do her best with those... I don't think Taylor's drive to be a superhero was entirely selfless. This isn't all truth and justice going on here, this is feeling strong and being appreciated by others and not being looked at like a bottom-feeder.
Wonder when she'll figure that out for herself
Tumblr media
Get cared about idiot! Get absolutely blanketed with affection and approval from the people who would absolutely rip your bullies apart if you asked them to!
Tumblr media
You know. I think Brian's trigger event is one of the ones I know the least about? I know the broad strokes of almost every other Undersider, but I don't think I know anything about his.
Current Thoughts
Even knowing what's coming, reading through Taylor's ordeal with the locker is so fucking heartbreaking. She could've died in there and the consolation prize she got was not worth the cost of admission, that's for damn sure. Emma Barnes is a fucking maniac for this one.
The stuff about powers and trigger events is a pretty neat concept, and I like how it kind of contextualizes most capes as being fucked up. Like, I'm thirteen years late to the party on this one, but what a fascinating fucking idea to build your superhero setting on.
Alec really shone through for me in this chapter. Maybe I relate as someone who finds it easier to get angry on others' behalf than to be angry for myself, or maybe it's just nice to see him get fired up about something. I like this kid.
...Got work and a family thing today, but I'll see if I can't slip some more updates in. I'll probably read some at least and double back with my thoughts if nothing else

Hi there! New follower here, and can I just say I LOVE how you write König? Like seriously, thank you SOOOOO much for not writing him like a soulless monster or something like I normally see when I look in the tags (I kid you not, I saw someone ask for a r@pist König fanfic not too long ago and it put me off him for a short while). Sure you write him crazy but you don't go that far. Thank you for that.
That being said, how would your interpretation of König handle a reader who has a history like that? Like maybe they were abused in that way as a child or a teen? They're in therapy of course and handle the trauma as best they can but they have that sort of fear of intimacy still, if that makes sense? Maybe they're still battling guilt/self blame, and feel like he could do better with someone who isn't "damaged goods" or something?
Sorry if it's bothersome but I'm very curious! Thank you, and I really hope you have a wonderful day! 💙🌹
Hey dear anon, welcome and thank you so much! 🩷💕
I can understand wanting to read dubcon and noncon at times, it’s all good and hey, to each their own! I can also understand the need to steer clear from these kind of fics (please, always take care of yourself and don’t expose yourself to content you don't vibe with 🩷) and I’m so glad to hear you like the way I write for König. I definitely love monsters with souls! Perhaps it tells something that everytime I *really try* to write a dark fic, I usually get comments like “weee so fluffy and cute!” :D Like did we win…?
As to your question on how would König handle reader with background of abuse:
König is not the most nurturing, tactful man but upon hearing about your past, he’d get super caring and tender. He has this fantasy of being a saving/conquering hero so, yeah, you just became his damsel in distress. To him, you're both a strong survivor and a fragile victim, so you gain something of a saint status in his eyes.
And he would never ever think you’re damaged goods, no. To him, you’re the purest of angels whose soul and body has been ravaged. For this alone, he’ll go to war for you, against the whole world if need be.
Violence is his way to deal with life’s big problems, so he’d want to hunt down and kill the perpetrator if they’re still alive, no question about it. He’d be willing to commit a good old murder and risk going to prison because he couldn’t stand it that this human filth is walking around unpunished. That’s his first way of dealing with this thing: eliminate the threat, then come and comfort you.
So… If you don’t want him to do that (either because you don’t agree with him about the measure of punishment, or because you’re afraid he’ll get caught/will face a prison senctence because of it), you’d have to get super crafty with trying to conceal who this person is because König is going to find out who they are whether you want it or not. He’d have such a hard time respecting your boundaries in this because someone has to avenge you. He has contacts and he can and will use them to get to this fucker and end their life.
Homicide aside, he’ll get overprotective of you. Has to have you in his line of sight at all times to make sure you’re safe and happy and ok.
Sex might be a challenge because König has a high sex drive. He adores you and would want nothing more than to be with you – preferably inside you – 24/7. This is how he worships you, shows love & intimacy and releases both of your stress. If sex is off the table sometimes, König would try to show his love for you in other ways such as cuddling you like crazy or accompanying you to the shower etc.
Any issues with intimacy would trigger his anxiety and fear of abandonment, and he’d get even more obsessive and clingy. Not in a whiny, co-dependent way, but in a “Everything alright, Schatz?” repeated 5 times a day type of way. König would nod and look like he understands completely when you tell him that you have these issues, but then proceeds to cuddle and smother you later anyway :/
Somehow thinks it’s his dick that might be a threat so he would try and not to flail it around you unless you specifically ask for it. Respects your boundaries on not having intercourse, but the other stuff, like squishing you against his chest every now and then or trying to please you with his hands or mouth are harder to negotiate.
Because he would try his all to give you mindblowing sex. He wants go give you good experiences, and gets a high out of making you cum multiple times. To him it’s like a hot bath, a three course meal and a year in therapy combined, to watch how you come undone. He's unusually gentle with his aftercare, and drowns you in praise when he holds you close.
Perhaps it’s a bit sick, but the fact that you both have suffered in your own ways makes you his one true love, sort of like a fated companion. In his mind, you’re soulmates who’ve gone through hell. He's also vehement in his belief that only he can love you whole again, only he can treat you right.
So the question then becomes, how do you survive an adoring, obsessive giant who’s made it his life’s purpose to make you happy? ❤️

so x-men 97 ended a month or so ago, I just finished last week and wanted to compose my thoughts.
the Bad
the soap opera level nature of the show is back and I get why it's there, but damn I was sick of the relationship drama when I was a kid, now that I'm 30 and don't care about any of the pairings in the show it's even more annoying. Except Romy, I love them, but could have done without a second love triangle.
Roberto's character felt weird and should have either been cut or been more involved with the X-Men as the new guy. He only really interacts with Jubilee because they intended to make them a couple from the start. There were better ways without just making them a couple or projecting it so hard.
I think 2 episodes were bad, ep 4 and ep 6. I personally don't care for the Shia'r or Prof X. The Jubilee stuff was fine but felt like filler which isn't really needed for a 10 ep show. And I don't think Storm's story was done justice.
Storm was underused. She's my favorite character and had a story about being depowered and getting them back that I thought started strong but didn't live up to the hype. Then despite coming back she doesn't have much plot significance and is just a powerful member of the team. Maybe season 2 will change that and I'm jumping the gun, but it felt like a waste. '
Morph was cool and I'm happy they are nonbinary in this show despite the writers keeping it in the 90's timezone. Not a huge fan of their character still though, I thought they were more cool with their powers than interesting as a character. Hopefully that will change in season 2
Magneto's plan by the end made no sense to me by the end. I know he was angry and pushed too far once more, but killing 7 billion people, mutants included. Yeah he made an offer to the x-men, but there are still hundreds of mutants that survived Genosha and he's putting a target on their back and they will also die without power. and he has 3 people in an asteroid above earth, what is the plan for things to continue
Also Bastion's plan was good, but I don't agree with the whole, people's response to tragedy that they don't care about is apathy. it's a hard world, but people care far more than you might think. It felt poorly written, like the show wanted to make all humans monsters so that's what happened. If the plan was to destroy Genosha and then let Magneto do his thing to get people to hate mutants because of what he would do afterwards I would understand, but it wasn't.
The Good
Overall, the whole series is a good adaption of the 90's series, warts and all. The love triangle stuff is annoying, but part of the show so I accept it and even the dumb puns made me smile. But the fact that they aged it up worked amazing, they blended seamlessly to me.
The action and animation were perfect to me, crisp and clear and dynamic. It let the characters show off what they could do in ways the 90's show and their restrictions wouldn't allow them to.
I liked most of the characters, Storm is my favorite character, Scott is my second, and Kurt is in my top 5. I mention that Storm kind of shafted, but Scott and Kurt were allowed to shine.
Kurt and Rogue's relationship was great, I'm glad that the writers remembered they were adopted siblings, I wondered after ep 5 if they did, but I also think calling each other sister or brother in the ep would have been awkward. The way they interact in later eps was perfect to me.
I like that people kept tell Xavier to shut up because I don't like him as a character. He has done so much shit and is still considered a hero in the comics, it makes him at best a naive fool and at worse the real villain of X-Men.
I like that Cyclops was so much more than the block of wood a lot of the fandom and even some writers make him out to be. He's a complex character and it's good to see that not only a deep character like he's supposed to be, but a good hero and leader.
I also like how the Cable stuff was done. like it's rocky and quick because they only have 10 eps but it was nice to see since Cable never revealed himself as Scott's son in the original show.
I love that the show wasn't just another version of the wolverine show. I like the character, but he's been over used and makes his appearances over saturated. He still had a presence in the show, but it doesn't make him the main character while shutting down other characters.
I will always love the family aspect of x-men, angry and fighting but loving all the same.
8 episodes of the show were great and I loved them, I would recommend it to anyone.
Ep 5 was the standout, and amazing. I loved how Gambit was portrayed as sympathetic and a good person with his relationship with Rogue and accepted that she wanted to be with Magneto. It was great to see him being allowed to be a badass as a swansong, even if I think he'll be death in season 2

Hot take: I don’t think Marinette did anything wrong in Volpina.
1. Lila was sexually harassing Adrien and being WAAAAY too handsy with him when he was visibly not comfortable with.
2. She stole something clearly important from him.
3. Lila’s lies about having a miraculous and being best friends with Ladybug when a magical terrorist is active are not only stupid BUT DANGEROUS.
4. Lila was lying about ladybug so Ladybug did have a right to call her out for it.
Oh Believe me, Lila totaly asked for it, if she just lied about being Ladybug's best friend maybe Marinette would have let that slide, but the liar was taking things too far by pretending to be a miraculous wielder less than a day after meeting Adrien just to impress him.
And if we could argue that maybe Ladybug was harsher than she should have been with Lila in Volpina, and that she reacted too impulsively, I totally see where she was coming from.
What reaction should you expect from somoene whom you're lying about just to leech on their celebrity in order to increase your own popularity ? And on top of that seeing those lies being used to manipulate one you're in love with ? Maybe Marinette should have kept a cold head, but I totally understand that she didn't, at her age I sure wouldn't have. And I think that Lila deserved to be called out on her lies anyway, especially in front of Adrien who was being fooled and taken advantage of by Lila.
Adrien is used to the vagaries of celebrity life, including potential lies and gossip about his person in addition to hysterical fans and his image being constantly publicly used, and therefore he could not understand the legitimate anger of Ladybug who is not used to that kind of celebrity that can be abused by random people for their own interests. That said, I wonder if Adrien would still have dared his quick and short outburst of anger at Ladybug when he saw her "humiliating" Lila, if he had known that in addition to lying to him, the latter had also stolen his father's book.
And on top of that, we're not talking about some harmless liar who just want to impress other people, we're talking about a potential psycopath who was already committing acts of identity fraud, truancy and scaming, and deceiving three innocent women into wrongly thinking of "Lila" as their daugther, while the girl seems to collect false mothers and identities like one collect tee-shirts.
So yeah I definitly can't say that Lila didn't derserved to have her ego taken down a few pegs.
And I don't think that Ladybug never calling Lila out on her lies would have made things better for her. Sure she could have avoided Volpina and maybe heroes days, but the rest ? In Oni-chan Lila targeted Kagami just after learning that the japanese girl was a friend of Adrien from fencing, and in the same episode she saw that Adrien was still infatuated will Ladybug, something she also quickly noticed during Volpina. And being a love rival seems enough to warrant Lila's hatred and hostility.
Remember how Lila went back on her words to let Marinette chose to be with her or against her when Lila saw Adrien chose to sit with Marinette over sitting with her in Chameleon ? After that Lila never let Marinette give her her answer and immediately declared war on her.
On top of that during the following seasons, Marinette no longer really tried to denounce Lila's lies and left the liar alone, and yet that did not prevent Lila from developing this strong hatred and obsession towards Marinette which we had proof of in Perfection . All because Marinette called her on her lies oncea nd is a rival in love for Adrien's heart ? You'll agree that this is a a disproportionate or even irrational reaction, and therefore further demonstrates that Lila is not at all a healthy person in her head, and that whatever the way Ladybug could have handled Lila in Volpina, the con artist would still have become threat sooner or later.
Lila would still have been contacted by Gabriel since the scenario of Oni-chan doesn't need Ladybug calling out on Lila's lies in Volpina to happen. Gabriel would in any case still have encouraged Lila to develop her plan in the Ladybug episode, and from there the events would have remained the same, with or without Ladybug's intervention during Volpina. Lila would still have ended up discovering Monarch's secret identity, and would still have put together her plan to get the butterfly miraculous in the season 5 finale.
Conclusion, Ladybug indeed did nothing wrong during Volpina. Because as Astruc himself confirmed in a recent interview, Lila is a supervillain all the time, with or without superpowers, which means that she was already one when she arrived at Françoise-Dupont for the first time
