I am absolutely convinced that Medic carries dextrose drops with him. German pharmacies throw these after you when you buy anything at all. I went to check if this one specific brand I know of had been around since the 60s and 70s and yes, it was.

Small acts of kindness I can see Medic doing is giving everyone one of these if they are tired. I'm talking about Engineer mostly.

Or they snack on them when solving practical problems together, like during the teleporter bread tumor incident.

TF2 x SU au fusions!

oof this took too long but i finally made it !

I kept @gracefireheart Andalusite (HeavyMedic) and @cariocay ‘s Turquoise (EngieSpy) (that i just realized their account got deactivated just a few days ago im sad now) fusion designs because i just found them perfect and whenever i wanted to try making my own designs i always ended up with making something similar to theirs since i was very influenced so i just kept them! They’re so awesome plz check the original artists!

About the fusions:

I tried to choose a theme for every fusion that suits the characters like Spessartite (DemoSolly) is a warrior i put Demo’s sword with Soldier’s shield thing well he doesn’t specifically have a shield but yknow the helmet thing i thought that could work.

He’s very powerful, strong and jump into action without a second thought, while he possesses immense strength and a love for loud and chaotic things, his battle prowess is a double-edged sword since his attacks lack precision. however, this unpredictability often leaves his enemies confused and scrambling to defend. he fights more efficiently when drunk lol

Lepidolite (MedicSpy) is a plague doctor, he is very inspired by Hannibal Lecter (nbc Hannibal lol shout out to that one Anon who recommended it for me to watch it lol) at first i wanted to give him a bistouri as a weapon, since it would suit Medic’s saw with Spy’s small knife, but then i felt the fusion was leaning too much towards Medic than Spy, so i put a cane instead to give that old idk gentleman look :P

He is polished and sophisticated, with a hint of underlying sadism and very precise in his movements, he meticulously analyzes his opponents, exploiting weaknesses with surgical precision before jumping into action and strike right where it hurts the most, the cane appears to be a simple walking stick, but inside is a hollowed core that had a retractable, poison-tipped blade, and his poison isn't fast-acting he enjoys toying with his victims, watching as the venom slowly takes hold, fueling his twisted sense of amusement. they are far from being the strongest fusion but they rely a lot on making their opponent weaker by their ability to attack precise hits as well as poisoning them!

Carnelian (SniperScout) his design was inspired by a equestrian outfit (he was the hardest to design tbh bc i wanted his design to be specifically different from the others since Scout is half human so i wanted this "human" aspect to show in the fusion).

He is a walking paradox, he's got Sniper's calm confidence with Scout's hyperactive energy, he loves a good plan but his execution is often fueled by pure adrenaline, he can zip across the battlefield with incredible speed, dodging attacks and flanking enemies. good at mid range and long range attacks but weak at close range, has internalized monologues with himself a lot, he appears calm on the surface however, his foot constantly taps, he fidgets with his slingshot, he cannot stays in place for too long. enjoys taking challenges.

Rubellite (DemoPyro) is a robot with a 50’s cartoon style but with like a creepy vibe to it, their voice sounds like a broken radio perpetually stuck on a laugh track, is both infectious and unsettling.

They just as powerful as Spessartite but just a bit more agile and lean more on the defense style than offense, their body stretches in a cartoony way and battles become a twisted playground for them, a child's game where they hop and blow things up everywhere. they’re very joyful and loves to have fun while making chaos, they usually make jokes but no one understands their muffled voice so they often laugh all by themselves lol the weapon actually expands where the ball and the shaft of the mace connects there’s a chaine (i didnt draw it cuz there was already too much going on in the drawing lol) which helps them reach target from close to mid range easily, they twist and turn their body in very flexible ways before swatting their weapon at their target.

it makes me giggle when people genuinely try to make any of the tf2 mercenaries ''uber toxic abusive manipulators because they kill people" or smth.

bestie they are 80s saturday morning cartoon villains at worst. treating their actions with any kind of gravity is like trying to make skeletor into a serious character.

the thing that flies over literally everybody's heads is that tf2 is, at its core, an over the top absurd ''dark'' slapstick comedy game (and i say dark very loosely because i do not know the exact term for ultraviolence but make it funny). did valve "woobify" heavy when they gave him a pretty princess cosmetic. did they "woobify" the mercs by making it an option to have them wear banana hats during the game. you are supposed to laugh at everything the mercs do, not take them this seriously or analyze them this deeply.

"why did medic put spy's head in the fridge'' because it's funny. ''why did he turn a criminal into a sentient pumpkin'' because it's funny. ''why did he make cheavy explode with baboon babies'' because it's funny.

yes they do get into fights with each other but not in an ''angsty'' or "toxic" way but in a ''cartoon brawl with a big ball of smoke hanging over them'' way. like the most abusive they would get is hitting each other over the head with cartoonishly large frying pans and setting up looney tunes traps for each other. they can be silly goofy guys who love and care for eachother and they can also kill people. let me show you something called nuance.

You were a mercenary just like others, a gun for hire, or more like it, an insane person getting paid for their antics. 

You and Soldier met years before, in a US army barrack, you were a nobody’s child, orphan, left near an army base, so you grew up there. All of the armists took care of you, mostly the drill sergeants. 

But then, Soldier came around, he became your role model, a true father figure, since all you knew was the army, you never felt the true nature of a parent who is a nurturer.

Where Soldier went, it was guaranteed you would be there learning how to be like him. Only difference – you were a tad bit smarter than your found family member, drill sergeants made you sure you were smart as f&!#. 

The goofiest father – child duo on earth, you knew how to rocket jump before you could swim. (Which ended in you almost drowning after falling into a river from the jump). 

When both of you ended up as mercenaries, others had to deal with not one, but two! Two daredevil American patriots (No way of telling if you were American or not, but no matter what, Soldier made sure you felt American to the core). 

You and Scout were very different, he was a loverboy, and you? A tough nutcase. Example.: Soldier taught you to always sleep with a loaded shotgun near, for safety.

You had your fair share of love interests, but anytime Soldier found out he would kidnap the person and make them survive in a forest, just so he knew the person was good enough for you (guess what happened after that, everytime without fail. Boom! You were now single).

All of your teammates liked you, since you were raised a soldier, you could help out with almost any task someone needed. Medic needs help amputating? You’re the first person in the operation room, even before the actual patient. No spare parts for a Sentry? You’re on it. Spy needs more cigs? Yes sir!

You even tend to help Miss Pauling out, managing to scare her anytime you show up unannounced. Since Ms. Pauling and Scout were friends, she knew he was into you, the way he talked about you, the way he smiled at the mention of your name, yeah there was something he wasn’t telling her.

Miss Pauling knew Scout wanted to take you out even before he did. So did Spy and Medic.

For you, the people who helped you realize it were Heavy and Sniper. 

Both you and Scout were talking, goofing around, drinking “Bonk – Cola”, just hanging around, when you did so, Medic and Heavy both looked at each other and started quietly talking.

— Do you remember when we used to be like that Doktor? 

— Ja.. Days pass so fast, look at them all grown up.

— Are you two talking ‘bout my child maggots?

Soldier butted in. He was then left clueless as Medic & Heavy left. 

Soon you realized that there was something about Scout, he was just such a great guy to be around, especially when he acted like his actual self, sure his cocky persona was nice, but under it hid a sweet boy.

You liked loved him for that, and that’s how you realized, “I don’t think I like him just as friends… F#!k.” .

Of all the people Scout turned to Spy for advice, it went terrible. He tried – The whole pickup line was so confusing you just laughed your ass off and then Medic called you. “See you around Scout ^^”

Then Scout called his mom and had a heart to heart about it, the conversation really helped him to actually be true about his feelings to you, this was way different then all he had felt before.

So the same night, he decided to be real about his feelings. Both of you sat on the roof of the base and looked at the stars while he confessed his feelings.

After a long silence, and his distraught face, you kissed him! ❀

Then came the worst part – Telling Soldier.

You were excited to share the news with Soldier, Scout? Not so.

Being Soldier’s closest person, a child of his, made you incapable of fearing fear around him, so you assured Scout it’ll be fine.

Scout decided to be a man and tell Soldier alone. 

— Soldier, sir… 

— Scout why in the h#ll are you talking like that. Are you a spy!?

— No!! I just wanted to tell you.. Eh, sir? That me and Y/N are dating.

— Are you kidding boy?

— No?

— You better be.

He took out a shotgun!! 

Of course he did. Anyways, other than that, of course he had the typical conversation of “Hurt them and I’ll pop this shotgun in your face maggot.” 

Scout was almost pissed himself when Soldier just pointed the gun to his face.
