Do you have some headcanons of Daisy's and Luigi's love languages they display in the relationship?

Oh man, you know what? You have no idea how long I’ve been waiting for an ask like this since…well, Ever! I LOVE these kind of things! I had to do a quick research to brush up on what Love Languages are again. So I took inspiration from some templates I found online. Sprinkled in with a little bit of the Movie-Verse Headcanons.

I guess this is a potential Part 1 of Luaisy headcanons? All because I’m unfortunately not able to list them all as of now!

But, Here we go! Hope you enjoy. Sorry if this ends up being a super long one though, haha.

- Acts of Service -

💚 Luigi would be more than happy and willing to tend to any Plumbing relate problems Daisy has. This is one of the only few times where even if he doesn’t even know the full situation of the problem, he never says no to her needing help, and dives head first without hesitation…

• Even if it means literally diving into that now rising flooding castle basement of hers, just to locate and fix that pesky broken pipe system!

🌼 💚 Cooking for each other. Unlike when I think Peach lovingly does most, if not all of the cooking for Mario. Cooking seems to become a thing divided equally between Luigi and Daisy.

• Luigi is known to be the best at Dinners. Some of his experience gained from helping his Mama back in Brooklyn growing up. And helping Mario cook too. One of his favorite meals he always loves to share with Daisy on occasion, is his mother’s classic Pasta recipes!

🌼 Plumbing can be real exhausting work sometimes! So Daisy is usually the one to fix up some either some real ice-cool drinks to personably bring to him in sweltering heat. Or Make him some hot cocoa or coffee for the really cold days. She’ll even bring some snacks, or even lunch if it’s almost time for a break.

🌼 Whenever she can be there, Daisy would always sit around and keep Luigi company while he worked. Also for the fact so she can pass him tools that he might need during work. Or even better, hold the fort as best as she can to prevent little mishaps that may occur. Need someone to hit a pipe to get it working? Need an extra set of strength to turn that creaky faucet? Trust Daisy to help out too!

- Physical Touch -

💚 Luigi is so, so, SO gentle with Daisy. Not in a way where he believes that she is perceived to be ‘Delicate’. He has faith that she can handle herself of course! But that’s just simply in his nature with everyone else too. Very little to no aggressive or intimidating body language. And with her? It’s just extra sweet.

• He knows she’s strong. But he can’t help but be the one to look out for her and be worried for her sometimes. When he sees her all scuffed up from fights, he offers to bring her water, ointment, bandages, whatever she requests. At first he allows her to try and heal herself. But If Daisy needs more help, he would step in to help tend to her wounds as much as possible.

💚 Luigi was is the most nervous and hesitant in initiating any form of touch at first. He didn’t want to make the wrong moves or anything! But upon the first hug and some vocal encouragement, it was a sign for him that he is on the right track.

He slowly gets more confident in holding hands with her, having an arm around her waist (Although, he can’t help but melt a little at the fact that he could be THIS close to someone he loves!)

💚 Kisses on his nose get’s him all smiley right away! Daisy ends up doing these out of surprise, and it just gets him so much. Kiss him on the cheek? Instantly giddy. She kisses him on the lips? Immediate knockout. He’s giving the Heart-eyes vibe. This is Something he shares in common with his bro too!

💚 When Luigi sees Daisy on the verge of lashing out at someone. He’s the first to quietly take her hand in his to gently squeeze it. This either gets her to look at him, which he gives a nod and look of reassurance for her to think things through. Or it’s almost like an instant touch that needs no words nor looks. But it has an instant affect on her. She rarely gets directly angry at him ever. How can she be mad at someone just so sweet to her? She knows he genuinely wants to help her.

• Sometimes he chooses to gently rub her hands instead. Also an equally effective calming effect.

💚 If Daisy ever feels down or at her worst, he more than welcomes her with open arms, and does not ever judge her for crying (something she rarely ever shows in public. Always putting a strong face.) It matters very little to him in the moment that his hat or clothes would be tear-soaked.

💚 Speaking on the note of a Sad Daisy. There are a few trigger moments which if you end up hurting Daisy, can make this sweet and timid Greed Plumber, decide that enough is enough. There is a reason why his Trope is known as a ‘Cowardly Lion’!

💚 He will try to place himself in front of her always. Whether it is him jumping in front of her to take whatever brunt of force was directed at her without thinking. Or steeling himself up to give stare down (albeit with quaking knees) in front of his enemy.

He starts of with a slight quiver in his voice. But if you continue to mock him or her a second time, the shakiness in his tone fades. Becoming a bit more determined. A quiet strength. At that point, he will not allow you to push him around and insult Daisy like that. Even if he might get knocked around a bit, he keeps getting back up, just to stand up for her.

💚 He’ll even try to use his hat at some points if he needs to cover her face more for protection.

💚 For some reason I feel like instead of usually carrying a Princess Bridal-style like Mario does. Luigi tends to carry Daisy on his back more. This often leads to escaping from some very comical situations!

🌼 Daisy is DEFINITELY the one who is not shy in expressing her affections naturally. But also really straightforward in her actions.

🌼 Ever experienced one of those surprise Run-at-top-speed Jump hugs? That’s Daisy for you! She often forgets to tone herself down sometimes.

🌼 Pulling him by the suspenders of his overalls gently just to kiss him.

🌼 She’s the one ending up carrying him like a bride instead HA

🌼 Like Luigi, Daisy is always one to step in front of her beloved to shield them from any potential danger. She is usually the one to Yank him out of the way with top speed (Apologizing immediately to him afterwards!) and pull him close to her body to try and cover and protect him as much as possible.

🌼 You would not be able to live it down if Daisy sees you harming or insulting Luigi. She is super quick on to you, ready to throw hands (And weapons, if in a fight)

🌼 She and Mario share the same kind of sentiments when it comes to standing up for Luigi.

“Say that again about my Boyfriend…And you’re gonna regret it!”

- Words of Affirmation -

🌼 Daisy is the one with the vast supply of pet names and complements!

🌼 The Iconic “Hey Sweetie!”

🌼 Buttercup, Honey-Bee, Weegie, Squeegie ect

🌼 If you don’t stop her, she may resort to floral Puns!

🌼 When it comes to support, she is like a really passionate cheerleader. You would definitely see her yelling her heart out at the sidelines of any event/competition/Kart race

🌼 When she writes notes or letters, Daisy tends to be the one who draws little doodles at the end of each letter, or just as little decorations here and there. Mario may or may not have accidentally revealed that he had caught Luigi chuckling at a letter he received from Daisy. Only to be told by his younger Bro that he found her drawings adorable and it made him smile. So she’s been doing that ever since!

💚 Luigi is a bit more reserved with this type of thing. But in fact, he is secretly the more poetic one! Surprisingly The type who’s words of love end up being a natural Cupid’s arrow.

💚 I see ‘Desert Flower’ as a popular head canon compliment he might say, and I also agree with that!

💚 Why do I feel like he would totally be the one to call her “My Dynamite Gal”??? When he’s mustered up so much confidence??

• Because Luigi is known to be more shy and timid, he does have more struggles with confidence in some parts. Leading to this possible little interaction:

- Quality Time -

💚 Luigi ends up loving taking strolls around the castle with Daisy. Whether it is in the Palace Gardens, or by lakes and rivers. Even Flower fields, where he’ll even attentively listen to her pointing out the new things.

💚 Luigi May end up getting challenged when he goes out on hiking trips with Daisy. The first few trips, he ends up faltering behind a little (He has bad knees everyone!), But Daisy would often slow her pace down a little so he can keep up. She doesn’t mind one bit. But overtime, he pushes to improve himself, in which he now is actually able to keep up by her side. She’s extremely proud of him

💚🌼 The Camping trips together are always fun though! Well, excluding some Minor scares and freak outs from the local wildlife at night. Luigi Teaching Daisy the classic treat of making a S’more. While Daisy would do something shared from her own land sometimes!

🌼 Daisy loves whenever she and Luigi get to go on one of their ‘Sports dates’, and is usually the one initiating these meetups (Knows all the good places!) while Luigi throws in suggestions. Usually consisting of Golfing especially. She is more knowledgeable in the technique, which she ends up teaching Luigi what she already knows. She likes to jokingly say that he’s “Learning from the best!”

🌼 If they end up moving in together and sharing the same bed, Daisy would be the type to wake up a bit earlier than Luigi does. Then goes back again to get some extra sleep hours. She has this little habit where she can’t help but give a little kiss on his cheek by then. If he continues to sleep, she lets him be. But if he ends up wanting to be woken up by this, she starts to go in for more kisses. Some of them are quick ticklish to him!

All until she’s gazing back at sleepy half-open eyes, A lopsided smile, and a very happy green Plumber who’s morning has just been made even better!

💚 On Luigi’s part, he’s the one who sleeps the last. Letting Daisy sleep first before him, as he sometimes has a bit of work he needs to attend to. Or just simply reading a few pages of his favourite book beside her.

• When he notices a lock of her hair astray on her face, he ends up brushing it aside for her. In that moment, he seriously cannot believe that this beautiful fiery woman is his beloved, and is right next to him.

- Receiving Gifts -

💚 It is a popular head canon going around that Daisy is very into gardening. So, Luigi would even go out of his way to brush up on said topics about Gardening and nature just for Daisy. Same thing that he would do when it comes to her other interests, just so he knows what to get her!

💚 He has really great callback memory, in which he is able to remember most of the conversations he would have with Daisy when she talks about various plants. Including seeds and flora she wishes she could obtain to grow in her castle Garden. So! Every often, he would visit the local markets or shops in the town, where he would check up all the latest imports/exports to see if he can find some uncommon, or even rare seeds for him to collect for her. If it’s something from Brooklyn, he most likely tries to buy seeds of flowers for her smaller pot plants!

If he goes on adventures with Mario, he does something similar where he collects various trinkets or souvenirs for him to take home for her, or send to her by mail.

🌼 Daisy is definitely more extravagant, and a bit more ‘flashy’ when it comes to gift giving. She does not do this to show off. She 100% fully believes that her believed deserves the best he can get…Even if it ends up giving him the biggest of blushes. And just so happens she can’t stop gushing about it either in her own way!

🌼 Actually at first, she might have been giving him ‘Weird’ gifts for the first few times when they became a couple. They’re not offensive gifts! But they were a result of her having misunderstood some of his hobbies and likes at the beginning. But never in bad faith, as she genuinely tried to guess what would make Luigi happy. But luckily with help from Peach and Mario, she got good results. And long the way, she started getting better at gift-giving.

🌼 I mean, have you seen that Golden statue of her and Luigi in her own Mario Kart Course? If she was the one who commissioned that, she would totally go THAT far.

🌼 She would go on a secret calling spree, prepare a huge birthday with all of his favorite foods, invite literally all of his friends and family as a complete surprise. Making the Green man crying out of happiness.

🌼 Well, not exactly a traditional kind of gift. But just for him, Daisy would end up wearing cute dresses or other outfits. Something he likes. But that’s because we all can’t deny, Daisy is still Daisy. She still loves to tease Luigi one way or another.

Green Bro may have been staring a little too long, as the Princess walks by in a tank-top and shorts combo!

another chapter of this deancas wedding/honeymoon!fic. thank you @we-all-deserve-to-be-saved for the prompt!

Castiel is not a morning person.

He likes lying in bed until he’s sore with it, stretching out on the memory foam like a king languishing among his pillows. He likes rolling over onto on a cool patch of sheet, and cuddling into the covers, and hooking his toes over the end of the mattress. Castiel likes holding Dean. Being held by him; tucked up against his chest or with a palm half-sunk into his boxer-briefs. Pressing kisses to neck and shoulders and the line of his hair.

Castiel likes the liminal space he occupies in the moments between sleep and wakefulness, where everything glows. It’s warm and wonderful and he draws it out for as long as possible, the minutes dragging along by way of tender touches. It reminds him of the peaceful parts of angelhood.

So, Castiel is not a morning person.

…But he can become one, for Dean.

Dean likes romantic gestures; not all of them—he isn’t the type of man who likes receiving flowers or chocolates or candlelit dinners. But picking up his favourite beer when Cas notices they’re running low, or staying up late to watch a movie despite being exhausted—kissing him, washing his hair, holding his hand, sitting with him while he works on the Impala… wearing women’s lingerie: these are all things Dean appreciates. Small things. Quiet things.

Cas knows that this is a gamble.

The alarm on his phone barely has the opportunity to buzz before he’s turning it off, carefully sliding out from between the covers. It’s dim, and Cas allows himself a moment to run his hand through the mess of his hair and dig his toes into the soft carpet. A breeze is coming off the water.

God, he hates early mornings.

“Where you goin’?”

Dean’s voice is slurred and muffled. He blindly reaches out and Cas meets him halfway, tempted into cuddling for just a moment longer. “Go back to sleep, Dean,” he murmurs, gently brushing over the pillow lines on his cheek.

“Mmm, w’sss hap’nin?”

“Bathroom,” Cas supplies, depositing a kiss to the corner of his mouth. Dean’s reciprocation lags with exhaustion.

Dean frowns. Struggles to open his eyes. “Y’okay?”

“I’m fine,” Cas says. “Go back to sleep.”

“’Kay,” Dean mumbles. “C’m back.”

Cas melts like fallen ice cream on hot concrete.

He carefully extracts himself from their bed, padding into the other room and closing the bedroom door. The sun is beginning to paint the first impressions of light on the horizon; the water is calm—it’s going to be a beautiful day.

Castiel calls for room service.

He orders pancakes and waffles and eggs and sausages, lox bagels, a bowl of fresh fruit, mimosas. An espresso and a latte because Dean would never ask for it himself. “And would you mind putting a rush on this?” he murmurs into the receiver. “I know it’s early, but we’re newlyweds and I’m trying to surprise my husband.”

Cas has learned that the newlywed excuse goes a long way anywhere, but works especially well when paying outrageous amounts of money in a fancy hotel. He expects they’ll also leave the champagne bottle.

Despite the fact that Cas is pretty sure it’s considered impolite to do so, he moves the small table and chairs from the balcony and makes a nest on the marble floor out of spare blankets and colourful pillows from the couch. He tries to mitigate the potential mess by laying down some of their many extra towels. Room service knocks, Cas pulls on a robe, and then the smell of coffee and food starts rousing Dean from bed. Cas pushes the food cart—complete with opened champagne bottle—to the door of the balcony before entering the bedroom.

Dean has kicked off all the covers and is sleeping on his stomach.

There is no moment of thinking about what he wants to do—what he’s allowed; Cas moves without conscious thought, peppering kisses from Dean’s ass all the way to the nape of his neck and then lavishing his attention on his particularly freckled shoulders. “Mmm… smells good.”

“Breakfast,” Cas says.

“S’early.”

“I want to take you on a date.”

Dean’s eyes flutter open. “Now?” he asks, caught between sleep and incredulity.

Cas leans over and presses a kiss to his mouth. “Mm.”

“Sweetheart…” He whines. Cas feels himself start to smile. Dean doesn’t use pet names often, and more recently he’s taken to doing so while complaining; as if the verbal confirmation of his affection will bend Cas to his will. It was laughable until it became endearing—because Cas is sweet on him, and there is no one else Dean feels comfortable whining to.

“Your life is one hardship after another,” he agrees solemnly. Cas slides back down Dean’s body and nips his left asscheck. “Come on. Up.”

“What, we’re not even gonna—”

“After breakfast, Dean. Just come. Please.”

Dean rolls his eyes and grumbles about a different kind of coming. “Man, s’not even light out yet.” As Cas moves to get Dean his robe, he’s caught around the waist and pulled between bowed legs. “C’mon,” Dean needles, nuzzling at him until the robe parts. “A little nookie, a couple more hours of sleep… we can go on a date later.”

“Or we can go on a date now.”

Dean pulls away and looks up at Cas, narrowing his eyes. Cas smiles down at him beatifically, running a hand through his hair and tracing the shell of his in the way he knows turns him to putty.

“…You’re lucky I love you.”

“Yes.”

Dean continues to grumble to himself as he slides out of bed and towards his duffle, frowning when Cas catches his hand. “No need to get dressed.”

“But you said—”

Cas holds out his robe. “Follow me.”

Dean slips the thing on as they pad into the main room, his eyes immediately drawn to the food and coffee. He gives a low whistle. “Damn, Cas. We expecting company?”

And suddenly, the entire thing seems incredibly stupid. Cas dragged them both from the warmth and comfort of their marriage bed on their honeymoon to look at the sun rising, a thing that happens and has happened every single day since the Earth started turning. He did this knowing that neither of them get to sleep like this, or be alone like this, or touch like this—this much and this openly. He doesn’t even know if Dean likes sunrises; if this is one of those things that’s romantic in the wrong way.

“I know you like breakfast,” he says, instead of dragging Dean back to bed.

Dean eyes the set-up outside, turn around and… blushes. Is blushing, down his chest and all the way to the tips of his ears. “So this is, uh—you got up and did all this?”

Cas feels colour rise to his own cheeks. “I didn’t cook,” he says. “Obviously.”

“Obviously,” Dean echoes. He shoves his hands in his pockets. “So, uh, take me on a date, stud.” He looks nervous, Cas thinks, which is ridiculous and relatable all at once. Outside, the rising sun paints swathes of pink and orange across the horizon.

“…Right,” Cas says. “Yes. I will… do that.” He gestures to the balcony. “Please sit.”

They get settled with coffee, for the first time maintaining a respectful distance between them. It’s oddly hurtful, and the longer they remain apart the more awkward Cas feels. He’s practically shaking out of his own skin when he suggests they go back inside. “You’re tired,” he says. “We should just go back to sleep.”

“Wait, why?” Dean frowns. He has foam on his upper lip. Cas wants to kiss it away.

“You’re not having fun,” he continues. “And this was silly, anyway. We should just—”

“Who says I’m not having fun?”

“Dean—”

“C’mon, man, you gotta—” Dean cuts himself off. Shakes his head. “I’m not cut out for this stuff: dates, romance… you gotta know that by now. And I haven’t been with anyone long enough to, y’know, even get to the part where we’re mushy and shit. But… it’s not because I don’t want to. I mean, flowers and chocolate? Not my thing, but you know me, Cas. A-And we’re in love, right?”

Cas swallows thickly. He nods. “I’m in love with you.”

Dean’s huff of laughter is steeped in nerves. “Well, good,” he says. “’Cause I’m kinda crazy about you, too. So—so, why shouldn’t we have a sunrise picnic on the balcony at the fuckin’ Ritz?”

“We should, if you’re enjoying myself.”

“Hell yeah, I’m enjoying myself. Are you?”

“Yeah.”

“Good. Drink your damn coffee.”

Cas stares at him for a moment before scooting closer. He wraps an arm around Dean and tugs, relaxing when over six feet of freckled hunter is suddenly plastered to his side. “Okay,” Cas breathes. “Good. This is good. I love you.”

“I love you, too, you loser.”

They come together more softly than usual, tentative in a way they haven’t been in a long time as they kiss. Eventually, Dean gets pulled onto Cas’s lap and shrugs out of the top of half of his robe. “Gonna need to work up an appetite to finish all that food,” he murmurs. He ducks down to suck and bite at the spot on Cas’s neck that makes him weak in the knees.

Cas snorts. “Very subtle.”

“So, uh…” Dean bounces his eyebrows like a lecherous old man.

Cas’s stomach growls. “Can we postpone the exhibitionism until after we eat?”

“There’s no one around!”

He’s smiley when Cas kisses him.

“What would you like for breakfast?” Dean opens his mouth and Cas rolls his eyes. “Besides me.”

“That’s mighty presumptuous of you, Castiel.”

Cas narrows his eyes. “I know you.”

“Yeah.”

It comes out much breathier than probably intended, and Cas can’t be expected not to kiss him. When they drift apart and Dean says, “Little bit of everything?” Cas gets up to make him a plate.

“Man,” Dean sighs, stretching out on the pillows. “This honeymoon thing is awesome.”

Cas hands him a plate piled high with bacon and eggs and pancakes and grins.

It really, truly is.

Okay idk if ur taking prompts or if this is too vague but I really love the idea of Derek making up reasons to be close to Stiles/ touch him (kinda like how he made excuses in your shirt fic) bc he doesn’t know how to do relationships/ask for stuff/ is embarrassed. And stiles either being completely oblivious until he suddenly realizes at the end OR knowing the whole time but not saying anything bc he likes it. So if you would like, I’d love it if you wrote something like that :)

Stiles noticed the changes gradually.

The changes in Derek Hale, that is. Resident grumpy Alpha werewolf, Derek Hale, who had been throwing Stiles into walls a lot less and started acting quietly careful around him a lot more.

He noticed the changes gradually and the thing was, he didn’t know what to do about them. Because since when did Derek not want to rip Stiles’s throat out with his teeth? Since when was he not a giant grump whenever Stiles made a single comment?

Sure, they’d known each other for a while now. Stiles would like to say that he was a lot less scared of Derek and a lot more… well, he didn’t like to dwell on that. But Stiles would even go as far as calling them friends. Or very good acquaintances. Or something like that. The point is, Derek no longer avidly hated him. He was less growly. And he only glared sometimes when Stiles was around.

Then things changed.

Because suddenly, Derek was there. Just… there. At Stiles’s side. Swinging through his window every other night. Looking like a serial killer every time Scott sat too close during pack movie nights.

It was strange.

Stiles had started cataloging his changes because he was pretty sure something was wrong. Maybe Derek had been replaced by a duplicate, maybe there was something in the water, or maybe he was secretly dying. And in the process of secretly dying, Derek realized not being nice to Stiles was his life’s biggest regret. So he was trying to do things better.

Stiles kind of doubted that last one. But hey, a boy could dream, right?

At this point, Derek wasn’t always literally ‘there’ but he was being expressive too. If expression could be conveyed by standing too close, occasionally touching the back of Stiles’s neck, and sitting pressed up against him in the loft, that is. Stiles thought for Derek Hale, that was pretty expressive.

He tried talking to Scott about it. But Scott was never very good talking about anything non-Allison related. Erica just laughed at him. Isaac rolled his eyes.

Boyd didn’t even stick around long enough for Stiles to talk.

But the point is, Stiles was pretty sure something was very wrong. And he was determined to do something about it.

It started when Derek swung through his window that night.

Stiles turned slowly around and leveled the werewolf with his very best death stare. Derek froze with one foot in his bedroom and one foot still on the roof, and actually looked nervous. Derek Hale never looked nervous.

Something was so truly and unbelievably wrong.

“Stiles,” Derek said slowly, pulling himself the rest of the way inside. Stiles crossed his arms and tilted an eyebrow, and Derek blinked at him. “Is something wrong?”

“I don’t know, Derek, is something wrong?”

The other man stared at him. Then he huffed and moved over to Stiles’s bed, dropping down on the edge. “No. Have you started the research yet?”

“I don’t know, Derek, have I started the research yet?”

“What’s wrong with you.”

Stiles rolled his eyes and shoved himself up. Clearly, this line of questioning wasn’t getting them anywhere.

Derek tracked his every move, looking a little wary, and Stiles paced the length of his room before turning around and pacing it again. He finally stopped in front of Derek and narrowed his eyes, studying the man.

Derek didn’t look any different, but it could be underneath the skin. Cautiously, Stiles reached out and poked at his face. Derek snarled and smacked his hand away.

“Stiles, what is wrong with you?”

“Nothing’s wrong with me, Sourwolf, something’s wrong with you!”

Derek gave him a flat look and Stiles resisted the urge to poke at his face again. After a long moment of having the most murder-y staring contest in his life, Stiles tore his gaze away with a groan and Derek pushed himself up, shaking his head. “Just… have something to bring to the loft tomorrow.”

“Sure, yeah, whatever, Derek. If that’s even your real name.”

Derek gave him one more flat, confused look before pulling himself out the window. Stiles rushed after him, before the man could vanish into the night. Like a vampire. Or Batman. Or whatever the hell he was.

Because it wasn’t Derek Hale.

“I hope you know I’m onto you!” Stiles shouted after him. Derek didn’t even bother looking back, moving across the lawn and literally melting into the shadows.

Stiles slammed his window down too hard and lined it with mountain ash.

The next day, he arrived at the loft early. The only werewolves around were Derek and Peter, and Stiles shot Peter an unimpressed look the moment he stepped over the threshold.

But then he paused. Peter crooked up an eyebrow from the couch and over in the kitchen, Derek watched him warily. Stiles was pretty sure he was getting suspicious. Or nervous. Or something.

Good.

“Stiles. You’re early.”

“Am I?”

“Did you get anything done last night?”

Stiles studied the man. In truth, he had not. Nothing for the monster of the week, that is. But he had done quite a bit of research on doppelgangers, alien abduction, and brainwashing. Among other things. “I got more done than you’ll ever suspect.”

Derek looked confused. From the couch, Peter tilted his head and looked intrigued.

Stiles glared at Derek for a few more minutes before crossing the room and grabbing Peter’s arm, dragging him back toward the door. The werewolf made a noise of surprise and Derek was looking concerned now, but Stiles pointed one threatening finger at him and he froze.

“Stay, Sourwolf.”

“Stiles, what the hell is wrong with you?”

“Stay.”

Derek’s expression turned murderous, but he didn’t move. Stiles dragged Peter out of the loft and then down the hall.

“Tell me when he can’t hear us anymore.”

“What?”

“Tell me when the thing inside the loft can’t hear us anymore,” Stiles said, shaking Peter’s arm. The man gave him an incredulous look and Stiles sighed, finally coming to a stop where he hoped Derek’s hearing didn’t reach. Finally, he let go, and Peter was looking at him like he’d just grown horns.

“The thing in the loft?”

Stiles crossed his arms. “Yes. I don’t trust it.”

“It.”

“Yes, it. Dude, are you even listening?”

“Derek.”

“That is not Derek.”

Peter’s eyes sparked and he titled his head, studying Stiles up and down. Then he sighed. “What has my ridiculous nephew done this time?”

“Oh my god, you’re not listening. That is not Derek,” Stiles said, jerking his chin toward the loft door. “He’s been replaced. Or possessed. Or duplicated. Or something, but that is not Derek.”

“And why would you think that?”

“Because,” Stiles hissed. “He’s less grumpy, he’s less growly, and he’s less intense. He’s nice to me, Creeperwolf, nice to me. A few days ago, he let me borrow a shirt when I spilled juice on mine and spent the rest of the afternoon smiling.”

Peter stared at him. Stiles swallowed hard.

“I think he’s been abducted by aliens and this is an imposter.”

“Seriously?”

“Yes, seriously! There’s something wrong with him!”

Peter had an expression on his face like he’d like to throw himself off the nearest cliff. He closed his eyes and sighed, before looking at Stiles again with an expression of thinly veiled distaste. “I don’t understand.”

“You don’t… you don’t understand?” Stiles said, staring at him. “How the hell am I supposed to better explain this, Peter? You’ve lived with him! Don’t tell me he hasn’t been acting different. Like, light, smiley-er, and calmer different.”

“Yes,” Peter drawled. “I do live with him. And I have noticed.”

“So what the hell don’t you understand?”

“I don’t understand,” Peter said deliberately. “How you’re such an idiot. Or how my nephew has fallen in love with such an idiot.”

Stiles blinked at him. His jaw snapped shut.

“Why does an Alpha werewolf growl when people get too close to his things, Stiles?” Peter said. “Why does he bask in self-satisfaction when the object of his desire goes around wearing his clothes, or carries his scent from movie nights being pressed up too together? You’re a bright boy, Stiles. Can you put two and two together?”

Stiles’s mouth opened and closed, but no sound came out. Peter rolled his eyes.

“The pack meeting is canceled and I’m leaving. The next time you decided alien abduction is the answer, try ruling out the more obvious things first.”

Stiles blinked after him. Then he turned around and stared at the loft door before slowly moving toward it. Derek was still in the kitchen when Stiles poked his head inside and he arched a brow from the kitchen.

“Where’s Peter?”

Stiles just stared at him. Derek slowly set down his mug.

“Stiles, what did you do to Peter?”

“What? Nothing. He left.”

Derek looked suspicious and Stiles grinned nervously, pushing into the loft. He was pretty sure Peter was wrong and Derek was not in love with him. Alien abduction was the truth.

But at the same time, Stiles suddenly… wasn’t so sure.

“So,” Stiles said, fiddling with his hands. “There’s something I’m going to say and if it’s completely wrong then feel free to growl or rip my head off or maybe never talk to me again. That’s totally acceptable.”

Both of Derek’s brows were raised now. Stiles took a deep breath and nearly choked on his own spit, the words coming out so fast.

“Are you in love with me?”

Derek went still, his eyes flickering. Before he could lose his nerve and maybe melt into a puddle, Stiles plowed on.

“I mean, you’ve been all nice and soft and fluffy lately. I mean, you haven’t pushed me into any walls in a couple weeks and you sometimes loan me clothes, and get this weird expression on your face when I’m anywhere close to you and—”

“Stiles,” Derek said, cutting him off. Stiles closed his mouth with a miserable expression, sure he was about to get either punched or brutally told off. But instead, Derek looked a little nervous too. “Stiles, it’s the… alien abduction.”

And Stiles’s heart stopped.

Later on, when the story was retold, Stiles would deny to his last breath that he grabbed the nearest thing he could find (a table lamp) and nearly brained Derek with it. He’d also never admit that he was pretty sure Derek nearly attacked him at that.

But in his defense, Stiles had no idea Derek had a sense of humor up until that moment. And also? He hadn’t dragged Peter far away enough and the asshole of an Alpha listened in on personal conversations.

But Stiles didn’t brain Derek. And he’d never give Peter any of the credit to things that might have occurred in the loft after that.

Because see, Stiles noticed the changes gradually.

But there was nothing gradual about his (or Derek’s) reaction when figuring them out.

Hell yeeeees show my boy Aoyama some love ;u; He’s honestly one of my favorite characters and I never get to write him enough ;^;

Aoyama and you became friends early on, having met each other during the entrance exams for UA. You were both pretty happy when you were both placed in class 1-A, and became pretty much glued at the hip ever since. You were best friends! At least… that’s what you thought.

Aoyama was crushing on you pretty bad, but… alas, he was friendzoned, wasn’t he? He would try to catch your attention with flashy poses and pretty French phrases but… you overlooked it every time, writing it off as just him being Aoyama.

You both were close enough where you would hang out outside of class, and Aoyama sent a million prayers of thanks to heaven when he saw you wearing something besides a school uniform.

Your quirk directly relates to your skin, and therefore it only made sense that the items you wore were a little more revealing than usual. Tank tops, crop tops, shorts, high skirts… it was what you were most comfortable in, and you weren’t ever really self conscious about it.

Aoyama would constantly compliment your outfits -- one, because he was a fan of fashion and you clearly had an excellent fashion sense, and two, because you could fill out any outfit perfectly! Your body was gorgeous in every aspect…!

But still, you would only laugh and thank him. No blushing, no stuttering, nothing… he got dejected about it, but still, he kept bouncing back. At least, he would think, he was the only one who got to see you outside of class like this is such cute clothes! That had to mean something, yeah?

That stayed true until your class’s hero suits were finally finished! It made sense that your suit should be as convenient to your quirk as possible. So… when your suit was finally crafted and finished, it was ridiculously revealing! Little was left for the imagination, and it was easy to wonder if it was even school appropriate. Wherever skin could be shown, it was.

Aoyama would never forget the first time the class got to wear their suits to training. He was loving his own flamboyant suit and cape when you stepped out in… that. Immediately he could feel his face melt into a beet red hue, his eyes tracing over your curves and… assets. Hiding his sweating nerves behind that typical closed mouth smile of his, he quickly shoved his shades down onto his eyes and looked anywhere else but you.

But, when he trained his eyes elsewhere, that’s when he saw that the rest of his classmates were staring at you. Many of the boys had sinful looks in their eyes, and it made Aoyama’s blood boil.

Throughout the whole class period, many of your classmates were staring at you as your body moved. It took everything in Aoyama not to yell out any French profanities.

The instant Aizawa called the end of class, Aoyama stormed his way over to you. Pushing through the crowd of lustful students flocking around you, Aoyama didn’t even spare you a hello before he ripped off his cape and wrapped it around you.

“Aoyama, what--” you started before he quickly began to steer you away.

Despite his usual smiley expression, you could see the annoyance laced on his brows and the small pink hue dusting his cheeks. “I couldn’t stand it, Y/n!” he groaned, ushering you into the empty changing room. “All of them staring at you like a hunk of meat! Geez, what animals.”

You blinked at your friend, surprised. “Oh, they were? I didn’t notice…”

Aoyama threw his hands up. “You didn’t notice?” he gasped, exasperated. “It was infuriating for me to see them looking at you like that! Not that it’s your fault, you should be able to wear whatever you like but… ugh, you shouldn’t have to go through that!”

You laughed a little, putting a hand on his shoulder to calm him down. “Aoyama, it’s okay, I’m not really upset. If people want to look, let them look, I’ll just prove how strong I am with how hard I train. Thanks for looking out for me though, you’re a true friend!”

There it was again. That word. ‘Friend.’

“But I don’t want them to look, and you shouldn’t want them to look because…” Aoyama paused, looking at you, his eyes swirling with words unspoken.

You cocked an eyebrow at him. “Because what, Aoyama?”

He hesitated. “Because… you already have someone who's been looking at you all this time.” Your eyes narrowed before widening, understanding the sentiment behind his words. “A-And not just because you’re like… the most gorgeous person I’ve ever met, but because you’re also the most fun and kind hearted. You make me feel truly seen and heard. You’re my best friend but… I can’t help but want more of you.”

You stared at him, eyes wide. “A-Aoyama,” you stuttered. When Aoyama lifted his eyes to look at you, he noticed the way you bit your bottom lip gently, a small rosy color rising to your cheeks. Did… did his words really affect you that much?

“I’m sorry I never noticed earlier,” you breathed, raising your arms to wrap around him. His arms sagged around your waist before they tightened in the embrace. He could feel your skin on his fingertips, and he liked how warm it felt.

“Well,” he laughed softly, “I can’t be all that surprised that you never knew. You couldn’t even tell that all of our classmates were checking out.”

“Well,” you spoke, words hushed in his ear. “Maybe it was because I was only focusing on one of them…” Aoyama’s eyes widened as you pulled back. His cape had shifted slightly on you, revealing the skin you were hiding beneath it. You smiled slightly at him. “Did you enjoy the show at least?”

Aoyama gulped, but recovered fast with a smirk. “Ohlala, I did… but maybe next time, you can give me a private viewing, mon amour…”

I sorta would love to take requests but i’m also bad at things. (I’m always accepting requests and ideas, i just am not the best at actually doing them everytime, but i’ll try!) So how about... Some Eye Deal Family rambling? I could probably do that!

Patton would definitely go to work with Logan and help out kids who are nervous about the big machine and having to look for glasses, because he’s small and relatable and smiley. It occurs to Roman that Patton has never seen anything all that clearly - which Logan argues that he has, he’s just far-sighted, so it’s been up close things that have been difficult and not everything in general, of course that doesn’t stop Roman. Because their son is going to experience everything. Trips to the aquarium! Trips to botanical gardens! Trips to the zoo! Trips to Disney disney disneydisneydisney! They go to see all kinds of things that Roman plans as family outings that they can experience together.Logan and Patton start building crazy lego kits together, since they both can focus on these tiny little bits and make these intricate crazy structures together. Patton and Roman do more free form things, with clay or paint.

Patton loves he and Logan have the same glasses, and even as he gets older he gets the same frames so they can be matchers. The first time someone says that ‘he looks just like his dad’ Patton is beaming from ear to ear, and Logan can’t deny how much that made him feel warm. And he completely melts when he realizes how happy Pat is to hear that. Similar situation, Patton ever hearing he must get his ‘sense of humor’ or ‘creativity’ from his Papa, the two of them just are ecstatic. Patton just loves his dads, and his dads love him. So so much. They’re just.. Ideal. (Also when Pat talks about a boy he has a crush on, Roman is losing his mind about how sweet and cute it is, and Logan is the dad who’s like ‘...he sounds wonderful, son. ..what did you say his last name and social security number was? Does he have any warrants?’ Roman just rolling his eyes ‘Logan. They are 12.’)

The archive for the Creator Babble chat that occurred from February 1st, 2020 to February 7th, 2020. The chat focused on the following question:

What is the nicest thing someone has said about your story, whether its published or still a WIP?

Well, this is one I can answer right away. It's not a very straightforward answer, but I had someone reference me and my comic in an essay about reasons why they were able to love themself... It was for a creative writing class, and they just used me as an example of a greater thing (indie media)... and I only know about it because they asked me permission. but they let me read the essay, and it made me cry. I havent heard from them in a while and I really hope they're okay, but that really stuck with me in a way nothing else has. It's not really a quote, though, so the nicest comment I have recieved was "I can tell how much you love people by reading this story." It was really sweet in a way I can't quite articulate. People have been incredibly sweet to me, and I feel very blessed. I could make a long list detailing the kindness I have been shown.

Apparently Phantomarine (http://www.phantomarine.com/) has made more than one person cry already. Which, to me, is pretty darn high praise, given that I've barely begun the story

Having people find it and say "THIS IS EXACTLY THE KIND OF STORY I'VE BEEN LOOKING FOR" also hits a nerve. I know that feeling. You like certain themes/motifs and you wish someone would blend them together in just the right way. It can be magical.

And the last one is when I learned that children like it. A few have come forward so far - either in person or through their parents - and told me they loved it. It was around that age that I was building my own 'inner library' of inspirations for the comic. To know that I might be part of theirs, even in a small way, is just... the best?

and now I wanna add to my list actually I don't want to interrupt, this is just a topic I wish I could sing from the rooftops about... I also had a student of mine (I am a teacher at a church) come out to me because he knew I would be okay with who he is. And, I have had people tell me it's inspiring to them, which kinda makes my heart melt. I'll stop now but, really I could go on and on about how open and loving people have been with me and my work, and how much it means to me.

Man... This is somewhat difficult for me to answer since I am so early into my comic creating journey. However, I will say that I recently got a comment on my comic Whispers of the Past (https://www.webtoons.com/en/challenge/whispers-of-the-past/list?title_no=191366) that made me smile. A long time reader commented that they always read my new pages twice, once on Webtoon, and again on Tapas. This really made me realize that my work has meaning to somebody other than myself, which is definitely what I need to hear when I'm doubting myself.

It's so nice reading about nice comments people have gotten and honestly... y'all deserve it!! I need to be in a better habit of commenting myself because I will promote comics to my friends for days on end but I'm too shy to leave a comment, even though I love receiving comments myself. I think the nicest comments I've received have been in combination with the conventions I was at last year. People told me that they thought the comic was funny, which I am incredibly thankful for. And one person who bought the book at the convention took the time to find it on Tapas and then comment on the latest page, saying that they'd talked to me, read the book, and that they liked it. That meant so much to me it was crazy! And another time, I was showing my book to someone at a convention and she said that she actually read the comic online, which honestly... It's so strange and surreal to me to meet anyone in real life who reads things posted online. It made my heart do smiley emoji. I think what LadyLazuli said is really right, this idea that you're a small part of someone's life or inspirations or just general day is pretty amazing?! Also this one guy commented on every page week to week with the same 'vase' joke on several updates and honestly the commitment was truly astounding

I think some of the nicest comments come from one specific reader, who has mentioned a couple times that going back and reading the comic has helped them through some tough times. There was also one person who went to the effort of contacting me after their books were damaged from flooding, and wanted to buy new books to replace the old ones. This was wild since they wanted to do something so inconvenient (paying with cash by mail, and I didn't even have an online storefront in the first place) to replace the books.

really early on i had 1 reader that would leave in-depth analysis of some character interactions and they were were spot on and made me really feel like people cared about this story . The other interaction that really stands out was doing the convention circuit last year I had a reader come up to say hi, and usually that interaction is just "i love your comic!" (which is amazing) but he also then talked to me at length about the story and again it was this feeling of just knowing someone out there cares about what you're doing. Comics feels particularly isolating so interactions like that really keep me going.

I've had two different readers tell me our comic has brought them joy during bad days. Sadly one of them I haven't heard from in 2 years and they were going through some rough times. I hope they're okay

The nicest thing I've heard was when my coworker told me him and his daughter were reading it, and he told me that she's "drawing like me" with panels and stuff and keeps asking him "how do i make the bubbles" So they're gonna work on that and then he's gonna show it to me.

Any time someone gets what I'm trying to do with the story. I have a great fear of getting good intentioned people trashing the most important parts of my story (without realizing their importance). So whenever someone gets what the story is all about, whether as a whole or just one scene, it's a huge weight off my chest. Legit brings tears to my eyes. Even if I manage to overcome that fear some day, comments like that would mean a lot to me. Being understood has always been very important to me.

Someone recently said they wanted to get a tattoo of something in the comic and that was cool. It also means a lot when people respond well to the jokes in the comic because I put a lot into the writing to make it funny. I hope it makes someone cry someday Joe Is Dead http://joeisdead.com/read

Ffff all my readers have been so compassionate, it's jarring! In a nice way! Choosing one nice thing is hard, every comment has been nice. I guess the most flattering is when a someone takes the time to go back to the previous chapters to link little things up with the current events in the story, or when they manage to remember in spite of how webcomics update so slowly. There was a comment I saved a while back where someone remembered a small thing in chapter 3 and was doing some brainstorming with it relating to the current chapter at the time.

Every so often someone also leaves a paragraph with some of the most motivational gushing, it's so nice! Oh! Also, there have been a few people who've asked me to print my comic so they can have a physical copy (which I'm slowly starting to do), which is super motivating knowing a couple people like my depressing comic enough to want to own a copy of it.

Oh this is hard I remember one comment on tapas that they got their aunt and cousin reading it and I was flattered! Most comments I got were about the artstyle and progression of the story, which I hope to continue if school lets me. Still, I'm quite surprised that it drove someone to get their family to read a romance about someone's dream lover lmao

Art is admittedly easier to comment on. If I'm commenting on art on anyone's comic, I try to point out how it contributes to the storytelling, rather than "ooh pretty and shiny." Pretty and shiny is valid but I'd be just doing illustrations if that were my main goal!

I've been really excited to answer this question because it gives me an opportunity to thank any and all the fans and people who celebrate our work. I've been so humbled by all of the wonderful and amazing fanart we've received, music paired with scenes from our comic, and fans even imagining scenarios of the characters themselves-- I'm constantly blown away! I do have my most treasured moment however, and that was when we were tabling at TCAF a couple years back. We had been swamped with crowds, selling, and early mornings-- it was a long day! That was until we had one person who went through the trouble to see us in person, and handcraft a drawing to deliver to us, saying thank you, and in that moment I bawled!! They quickly left after us thanking them so much, and I'll never forget that and how much it gave us a fire to see this whole project through. We have it framed and it sits in front of our cpu

@keii4ii The only nice thing about Webtoons is that there aren't any profiles to check, so you can't look up fans via their comments. Also if you did Google their username there isn't a guarantee whoever you find would be that Webtoons user without them telling you. Lmao! About the thirsty comments, I used to get them a lot of Webtoons. There was this one scene where my smaller MC pulled the taller one to their face to say "Your friend is dead", before shoving him away and walking off. Some of my readers went wild! They wanted the two MCs to make-out so bad, even though the scene clearly had no romantic chemistry... or even the entire comic for that matter. My thirsty bunch came off really desperate and reaching at times.

People thinking my characters are hot is a pretty common thing, and usually I don't mind but... sometimes it's the bane of my existence.

It's always a little bit weird, though

every time someone is like "dat ass " I'm like alright bud keep it to urself

it's part of why I made all of my characters adults, actually

people even before I started making it, just when I was talking to them about it or showing my art would STILL be overly sexual about my characters so I aged them up where it felt less weird for me.

Pfff I'm in a similar boat to Deo's. Usually I don't mind, but there are moments where it sucks. Like there will be a really serious, or heavy scene and someone will pop up with "Make them kiss!!", "Don't be mean to your future hubby, X! Kiss him and make up!!". It totally feels they don't actually care about the story and just want something to jack it off to. xD I don't get a whole lot of thirst anymore, which is nice. I think the vocal group lost interest after being blue-balled for 3-4 chapters. Weirdest thing, I have yet to get anyone saying my characters are attractive... well, some readers used to say Julian (my questionable looking non-binary character) was pretty but they weren't really thirsty, just observations. At least they came off like that. My style makes characters look kind of ugly, so comments about any of my cast being attractive is non-existent. @keii4ii Ooh yeah, I can see how that would be an issue. Although, if you really want to show off some super nice comments, you can also just cover or blur out their username and icon image. A lot of people do that, it's really good for keeping up the user's anonymity, and I don't think they would mind since you're not using their words slanderously.

XD I don’t really want them in Ashes were my characters are teens, but in Eryl where 95% of the cast is legal age, I kinda wish some people wanted to be a little bit thirsty about it. XD

When I start my adult fantasy comic (tentatively planned), then I’m all on board for sure. For the question, I love and screenshot every comment to peruse whenever I feel down. I treasure all of them but one that particularly stood out for me was a writer reimagining all their stories with my art and characters and that just about made me cry happy tears

So far the only 'thirst comments' I've gotten are when the comic gets even the slightest bit... gay I can't say my story revolves around major LGBTQ+ themes, but people have picked up on random bits of subtext between characters (which is mostly intentional on my part, not gonna lie) and specifically take time to comment on them. It makes me happy to see people reading between the lines. And it also helps me know what the readers like or are really looking for. So... yeah, I'm gonna keep on that path

Bc there has been nothing really controversial on-panel in the comic, and I have such a small audience it has no other reason to keep attracting hate.

@sssfrs (JOE IS DEAD) hm if i were to give negative feedback about your comic I'd say the biggest things are that you have a lot of characters that in my mind are kind of hard to differentiate, and also it can be really hard to tell where your characters are in space. But those don't matter too much, as they both will probably get better with time. Your biggest strength imo in your dialogue anyways

Not every negative feedback is relevant to my goals, is key for me. It's the whole "you can't please everyone" principle. My target audience does not include every person out there. If my target audience falls in love with what I make, then that's success for me. I don't need to impress the rest of the world.

Yeah I've found it really hard to juggle the consistency with where characters are standing all the time. I write out lists of the order they're spatially located in an effort to keep track of them. Hopefully I'll get better with practice

It's not always a failure of storytelling skills, though. Some people's brains work along a certain line, and when a story is told that doesn't gel with that, it seems confusing to the person. Your comic is public, and it's going to be seen by a very wide variety of people with all different kinds of reading comprehension and tastes. You're never going to appeal to all of hem, and plenty won't understand what you're trying to do. But that doesn't mean what you're making is bad. It just means it, like every story, is for a particular audience.

Yeah, if it's a repeated crit, it is something to keep in mind, but just remember that incorporating a crit shouldn't change what you're trying to do, only refine it.

Of course. And I don't think my comic is bad. But one example was when I realized some confusion stemmed from me having a speech bubble that read, "without her," and didn't realize "her" could refer to two different characters which would make what was being said have two very different meanings. It's easy to overestimate how understandable your story is as an author that already knows everything that's going on. I think confusion is a good thing to pay attention to- I've definitely read comics before and dropped them because the author didn't pay enough attention to introducing things to the audience

At that point I'd honestly keep going with what you have - there are several stories I've gone into with confusion, but also greatly enjoyed them, or even got less confused over time. Some readers need time to put the pieces together. So long as someone enjoys it on some level, I think that makes the comic successful. Maybe not completely - but not every comic will be everything to all people.

I remember the first time I read Unsounded, I had absolutely no idea what was going on because of how Ashley structures her world-building. But there were aspects of it that were very engaging, so I stuck with it. After finishing the archives, I went back and reread. Now that I understood what all the terms meant, it made perfect sense on the second go-round. It's now one of my favourite webcomics. Some stories are just told differently, and that's okay.(edited)

Most transphobic people quietly leave, only the really sad, pitiful ones make a stink and their opinions are pretty laughable. If you get crap laugh in their faces like they're morons. I would also say my character Julian is intersex, but I'm not sure how much it counts since it was a recent decision I made (after doing a lot of research) due to readers headcanoning them as an intersex character.

I think I know of a couple other comics with intersex characters if you want to check out some, lemme go look through my lists.

I don't see a problem with reconsidering a character's sex, gender, or orientation as we become more aware of issues in the world, or even just more aware of our own characters. Webcomics are always a work-in-progress and things change as we go.

Re: clarity and confusion, sometimes a small change in wording or such can improve the clarity greatly, and that's great! But I agree that reader confusion doesn't necessarily = failure in storytelling. I've published my comic first in Korean, and a much improved version in English. The cultural difference in the audience has shown to be a huge factor in terms of what's clear and what isn't, or how certain things come across. And that's just one factor.

Like, making my work as accessible as possible has never been a goal for me with this story. So to me, it's not a failure that a large number of people can't see parts of the story that aren't being spelled out. I can totally respect "I want my work to be more accessible, so if all these people are not Getting It, then I need to do a better job" as a valid stance. Just not one I'm taking. It's all about individual goals and priorities.

@sssfrs (JOE IS DEAD) It is difficult to understand if you're not intersex yourself, even though I studied a lot before making the decision about my character I still don't know if I'll represent the topic properly. The best you can really do is get into researching all the medical stuff, talk to people willing to share their experiences with being intersex, and watch videos of people talking about it from a professional and personal perspective. The hardest thing to get right about something so subjective and personal is that everyone's experiences are different, so no matter how much you research you just gotta do your best with the info you have, then figure out how your character would experience it personally.(edited)

For me, I’m not even sure what niche Ashes belongs to. (https://www.flowerlarkstudios.com/cos/) It’s dark, it’s weird, it has a twisty plot that slowly trickles information, and it’s an odd mash-up of genres. I often try to describe it as Miss Peregrine’s Peculiar Children meets Farthing Wood. It’s mostly urban fantasy with some horror elements and talking animals. Basically it’s about a bunch of unaging teenagers with supernatural, angel-gifted powers and a bunch of woodland critters fighting (although so far it’s more running from) eldritch monsters. But it’s main focus is on each character battling either mental illness or some other kind of inner demon.

There's also the aspect of: what's niche in one culture may not be niche in another. In Korean media, Fantastical Old Korea is a very common setting for all sorts of genres: gag a day, romance, all-ages adventure, gritty crime drama, zombie apocalypse, you name it. If the work spends a lot of visuals showing mundane everyday moments, often that's a shorthand for "sit down and stay a while; this is a heartfelt tale that takes its time." My comic uses such a setting. When I began to publish it in English, I was surprised that people were expecting it to be one of these AND NOTHING ELSE: a) exciting magical action adventure b) mythology-driven, all about gods and spirits My comic is neither of those. It definitely contains elements of adventure, but that's the plate the meat is served on, not the meat itself. So I guess the usage of the setting is niche.

Like, imagine a civilian life drama set in WWII time. The civilian MC may have a family member or a close friend in the military, but the story focuses on the MC's experience. Imagine presenting that story and people expect it to be... military action? Not a perfect analogy, but hopefully a good enough one.

To answer @eli [a winged tale] question. I'm delving into stuff like mental illnesses and disorders, medical illnesses, abuse, trauma and later on, self-care. The comic itself is slow and character centric, I guess you can say it's like a character study. The story can be really depressing depending on who is reading, and it has some softcore horror bits sprinkled in. I'm kind of a nerd for mental health, sad stuff and everything medical so I figured I may as well make a story embellishing those interests. In short it's a sad, character driven, psychological drama about two extremely flawed individuals. Not particularly exciting compared to all the other webcomics out there, but somebody has to make that one pretentious, psychological slice of life piece.

What compounds my issues is that my comic does have enough adventure elements for someone to mistake it for an underwhelming adventure story. "This is an adventure story but there's not enough adventure in it?" kinda thing.

I've heard those mysteries do go somewhere within the franchise, but you had to watch/read the entire franchise, which I wasn't going to do. I’ve only recently discovered bts and haven’t been able to stop listening to them. They’ve been around a lot longer than I realised and was wondering If you’d be able to explain some things about them, how they became bts. Traits that you’ve noticed they all have?

Oh wow! hahaha Hi! Welcome to the BTS Fandom! Fans are called ARMY. Yes, BTS literally has an ARMY of followers. (notice me not explaining what ARMY means lmao). While starting to write this, I realized I could write a whole book about it, which honestly, some people have. LMAO So I’ll try and make this informative starting with the foundations of BTS, the members, and the official links LMAO I also tagged some bias tumblr pages and group update pages.

Foundations:

Also, yes! BTS has been an active idol group since 2013. They had their first live stage on June 13, 2013. They are managed by a company called BigHit and was founded by a famous Korean composer named, Bang Shihyuk, more known in the K Music industry as Hitman Bang. The company itself was small and didn’t have big artists on it’s roll and roster yet, but the members and Bang PD took a chance on each other.

They had very humble beginnings. BigHit didnt have their own building, instead they rented some floors in one building. One floor was an office space, one was a practice studio, small room for recording, small rooms for production. The members themselves had to fit in one small bedroom with 3 double deck beds and a small solo bed for Jungkook.

They first introduced themselves through a series of Vlogs before they even debuted as BTS, which actually means 방탄소년단 Bangtan Sonyeondan (Bulletproof Boyscouts). Initially, they were supposed to debut as a rap group but the company decided on making them an idol group.

Their music has always been targeted towards the millenial age group and their lyrics aspire to inspire the youth. They did produce a number of love songs that were pretty usual for kpop idols but as they found their voice and produced their own music, more of their colors as individuals shone through. They sang and wrote about their struggles, hopes, dreams, which a lot of us can relate to.

All the members are quite filial, always talking about their family. They are also very humble are always in awe of how much they have achieved together. Their loyalty and care for each other is very apparent in the way they interact. They all have a good, weighted understanding of music and desire for growth in their skills.

Kim Namjoon (김남준 aka RM, formerly Rap Monster)

position: leader, rapper

bday: September 12, 1994

height: 181 cm (5’11.3”)

family: parents, younger sister

hometown: Ilsan

BT21 character: Koya

Born in Ilsan, he is a smart cookie and an avid reader. It is a fact that his IQ grade is 148 and that along with his rapping prowess, made him a standout even as a rookie idol. He is also known as the English speaker of the group. According to him, he learned by watching the series FRIENDS and listening to western music. Before being part of BigHit, he was already gaining ground as an underground rapper under the name “Runch Randa” in 2007. He was only in middle school.

RM decided to join a rap crew called “Daenamhyup,” which consisted of some of the top underground rappers. RM then auditioned for another rap group which is where he met Untouchable’s Sleepy who was so impressed with him and he passed him onto Bang Shi Hyuk.

Bang PD basically created the whole idea of BTS around RM. He said that the moment he met RM he knew that he was special and it would be a waste of skill to not hone his talent.

RM now has the most production credits for the lyrics he writes and songs he produced for BTS. His lyrics are very poetic and are usually profound, finding root in various forms of literary works. He has a very commanding stage aura when he raps.

He has released 2 mixtapes so far. His first mixtape RM was released on March 17, 2015 and his second, Mono was released last year, October 23, 2018. His studio is now Rkive (formerly Mon studio).

Personality wise, Namjoon is more timid than his stage persona. He enjoys quiet morning walks in nature. His song Reflection even has a layer of one of his recordings of his surrounding while at a park. He is very clumsy, hence his nickname in the group as “god of destruction”. He also has a very interesting take on fashion which you can see from his #kimdaily posts on twitter.

Kim Seokjin (김석진 aka Jin)

position: eldest, vocalist

bday: December 4, 1992

height: 179 cm (5’10.5”)

BT21 character: RJ

Though Seokjin is the eldest member of BTS, he often doesn’t act like it. He was street casted by BigHit. Idol companies usually do this in Korea when they find someone with standout visuals in a crowd. He was actually scouted by SM too (company managing EXO) but he thought it was a scam and he never showed up. He took his chances with BigHit.

He had no singing nor dancing exprience when he started training with BigHit. He wanted to be an actor. All of his skills come from sheer determination and hardwork. In my opinion, he has the most emotional voice among the members. His range has developed immensely.

Despite having a cheerful and light hearted persona, he is actually really deep and smart. He graduated from Konkuk University last February 22, 2017 with a degree in Film and Visual Arts and majored in Film and Acting. He was part of the early admissions list and is now taking his Masters degree for Film in Hanyang Online University.

Personality wise, he is loud and playful. He is also easily surprised. He gained the nickname “Worldwide Handsome” after his visuals and confidence made people pay attention during one of the red carpets in the US. His father is apparently a CEO and his mother is a beauty queen.

He said he gained his confidence after bleaching his hair blonde and gaining much reaction during their live performance of “FIRE” where he gave air kisses. To top his amazing visuals and vocals, he also plays the piano and the guitar. Oh! And he has a sugarglider as a pet. No joke.

Jung Hoseok (정호석 aka J-Hope)

position: rapper, lead dancer

bday: February 18, 1994

height: 177 cm (5’9.7”)

family: parents, older sister

hometown: Gwangju

BT21 character: Mang

Jhope, also called fondly by the members as Hobi and Hoseoki, is the lead dancer of BTS. He had no rapping experience prior to training with Bighit and was initially trained to be a vocalist.

He was fairly known in the dance scene of his hometown and was even a part of a dance crew called “Neuron”. His love for dancing led him to audition as a trainee at a company called JYP (company that manages GOT7). He passed a few auditions there but was eventually cut as a trainee.

He didn’t give up though and went on to audition for BigHit. He started training as a vocalist for the supposed rap group which included RM and Suga, but due to the influence of the rap trainees around him, his affinity for rap and lyric writing grew.

He is now in charge of dance for BTS and though he doesn’t get much center formation attention or spotlight, everyone knows that he is the one helping the most with choreographies and training each member. He is very detail oriented and is very observant of each member. Namjoon even said that if he wasn’t the leader, he would want Jhope to be the leader.

He has a number of production credits too and released his own mix tape, Hope World on March 1, 2018. His studio is also called Hope World.

He has a very smiley persona and his energy is always alive. He is also the most easily scared, he is scared of almost everything! The members said that his happy persona came with the name, not that he was named Jhope for how he has always been. Jhope said that the name used to be burdensome but now he loves it and wears it with pride as the Hope of ARMY and BTS.

Park Jimin is arguably one of the most charismatic idols out there right now. His duality of being sexy on stage and fluffy cute off stage make fans everywhere melt. This characteristic is shared mostly by the Maknae line (younger members line) of BTS.

He has had the shortest trainee period among the BTS members. before he joined Bighit, he attended the Busan High School of Arts, where he was a top student in the Department of Dance. His specialty is contemporary. One of his teachers urged him to audition for BigHit. His natural skills got him in. He trained as a vocalist under BigHit and now his vocal skills has improved largely as shown by his solo works.

He used to have chubby cheeks which earned him the nickname of Manggaettok (rice cake) and the members also call him ChimChim because of a show they had called American Hustle Life.

He is the most active on social media. He even posts for other members when the fans say they haven’t seen the members for too long. Most affectionate member also goes to him. He is often seen hugging or clinging on to the members. If a member cries, best believe Jimin will hug and comfort them after.

But Jimin isn’t all sweets, smiles, and sexiness. He is also very strong willed. He judges himself very harshly and strives for perfection. Lately, he has appeared to be more relaxed and said that he has been allowing himself to take breaks and also enjoy, which the fans who worry about him is very happy to know.

Kim Taehyung (김태형 aka V)

The most handsome male specimen in the world for the year 2017. Kim Taehyung’s charms are endless. From his square shaped sheepish smile to his deadly on-stage smirks, it’s hard not to be drawn in by him.

He wasn’t planning on auditioning. He accompanied his friend who wanted to audition. The auditions were held in their school because he went to an arts HS. The staff saw him there and convinced him to audition too. He trained his voice under BigHit too and now has the widest vocal range among them, not to mention his deep, soulful baritone balances out the vocals of the rest of the singing members.

He has a very keen eye for arts and aethetitics and he uses this for his hobby, photography. His favorite photographer, Vante even acknowledged his work. Tae-Tae, as Jimin fondly calls him, is the only one so far who has debuted as an actor among the members. He played the role of a young warrior in the series called Hwarang. His dancing has also improved. He didn’t have much dancing skills when he started, but his groove has now definitely changed and he has his own way of interpreting dance moves too.

In terms of lyrics writing and producing, like the other vocalists, his skills developed too. He co-wrote 4 o’ clock with RM and has continued to take part in writing for their songs.

Taehyung is very curious and unique. His laugh is deep and adorable. As part of the maknae line, he is also quite playful but his maturity has grown through the years. He has a pomeranian named Yeontan (coal brick), who is now one of the pets of the fandom.

Jeon Jungkook (전정국 aka Jungkook)

The baby of the group, Kookie. He is a well trained dancer with the smooth pop voice that carries most of the melodies of Bangtan’s songs.

Before joining BigHit, Jungkook auditioned for a talent show in Korea called SuperstarK. He didn’t make the cut for the show, but after the audtion, he received a number of calling cards from scouts of different big K-Idol companies, including the very small BigHit. Jungkook said that he chose BigHit because he was very impressed by RM. After he joined BigHit, he had the opportunity of being trained in LA for dance.

He has a tendency of starting different projects for himself, playing the drums, the guitar, etc. But, he found his niche in film production and even has his own brand of behind the scene footages of BTS under his production brand, Golden Closet Films.

He has been called the golden maknae because of his natural skills and visuals fit for being an idol, not to mention that body and his determination to keep working out for it. No wonder companies were eager to train him.

Jungkook has been growing in his music production too and has helped compose, produce and write some of their songs, like their song, Magic Shop. He is a powerhouse on stage and baby our of it. He looks up to his hyungs a lot and said that they basically brought him up since he started training at such a young age.

Min Yoongi (민윤기 aka SUGA)

Suga’s love for music was developed at an early age. When he was 13 he started working at a studio to learn more about music production. As the years progressed he joined an underground rap group in Daegu called “D-Town.” And even before auditioning for BigHit, he has created beats for various underground big names in hiphop.

He auditioned through a hiphop competition called “Hit It” and he placed 2nd over all. He initially joined the company as a producer but Bang PD was able to convince him to be part of BTS. He still jokes that Bang PD tricked him into joining cause he thought it was going to be a rap group.

Though his outward demeanor seems cold and lazy, the members actually talk about how he spends most of his time working at his studio and going home when the sun comes up. He may also seem timid but he has been vocal about various social issues like LGBT, poverty and education. He has also made it a personal traidtion to donate to charities or gift fans on his birthday.

He released his mixtape Agust D on August 15, 2016. There he opened up about his struggle with mental health and his view of himself. He also narrated his journey to becoming part of BTS. His studio is called “Genius Lab.”

To date, Yoongi has helped in producing and writing a number of BTS songs too. He also produced a song titles Wine with K singer Suran which topped various Korean charts. It was in the end lauded and he received his first solo award for production. Hence his nickname, Min PD.

I finally passed the final exam, had interview done and was just waiting to start. It would usually take 2 weeks to start working and we still have class if wanted to practice your skills more. But I was just chilling now and enjoyed interacting with my batchmates. And since all anxiety has gome through the window, I started to notice N more. I remember she already had been interviewed for a potential client but she said in our GC there was no news yet. She was even chosen before me. I got lucky though and got hired on my first interview.

I can choose not to attend class but I wanted to, it was fun to finally talk to everyone without feeling like I will be gone when the day ends.

N was still one of the brighest in our class. And though I completely memorize our protocol, I on the other hand chose to keep silent still and just observe everyone. She would explain situations with ease and answer questions confidently as usual and I have no idea what came over me. I remember our topic that day was Podiatry and she was excellent in anything orthopedics. She was a pro in that area. I didn't even know she was in the class. I was very interested in this class and interacted more than I used to, the lecturer even called my name several times to answer some questions (which I got right thankfully) and then her voice came out of nowhere. I think the teacher asked about a treatment for something and her voice was suddenly on maximum volume, explaining what they used to do for this specific procedure. Believe me I did not know she was in that class. And she, again, had her way with words. I understood exactly what she was trying to explain as I listened to her dreamily.

And without hitting brakes, I went to our GC and told all 100 heads in there that she is so attractive when she explains things and I'm crushing on her hard.

Yeah, I said that. To the entire batch, in a group chat of 100 people.

I wanted to erase it but at the same time I don't. I wanted her to see that she is brilliant because she is and she deserves all the praises.

My comment was seconded by our classmates. But I was the jealous type and to add to my announcement of love, I added:

"sorry, dibs"

YEAH I KNOW.

I did that. Nuella, I did that. I have never, in my entire life, publicly announce I have a crush on someone bad.

I just couldn't control myself.

And to cover it up I tried to change the subject. And everyone moved on but not her. Not HER. She laughed at the one that says I have a crush on her and heart-reacted to the one that says dibs. She then replied, it was no big deal.

I melted right then and there. I wanted to die from so much happiness.

But the convo was moving and I didn't want to be too obvious so I left it at that. Some time after that, out of nowhere she said something in the GC and I replied with a hi 🥰 which was totally random and not related at all to what she said. Which she said hi back with a smiley.

And I said this was it. I have to talk to her, privately.

For the first time in my life, I added someone on facebook. I usually don't do this, 90% of my friends added me and not the other way around. Not because I was arrogant but because I was shy and would rather wait to be added and not assume things. I respect everyone's private lives and I want them to let me in and add me first and not force my way in. Is that weird?

But this time I'm so curious. I went to her profile for the first time, checked a couple of profile pictures and damn she was breathtaking, from her youth to the present time she was beautiful. I'm lost for words.

Then I clicked add friend.

She added me I think right away. I wanted to chat her ASAP but I waited. This was a big step for me I have never made the first move before. Not ever. Even if I just wanted to get to know her it was crazy scary for me.

So I waited. Because firstly I'm a chickenshit and secondly, what was I going to say?

I’m sorry this took so long to update, and I know I said it would be a lot sooner but I was a lot busier than I thought I would. Hope you enjoy!

The house was still, stifled by silence and Harry lay awake, far too submerged in his own thoughts to even consider the idea of sleep. He silently observed the shapes being carved by a mixture of moonlight and streetlight from the window to his left, dancing on the walls all around him. Clenching his eyes shut and resting his forearm over them, Harry could almost feel the fleeting moments shared between he and y/n, some over a decade in the past.

His fists balled and his jaw locked. The past.

“Harry!” He could feel the way she squealed his name, embedded deep within him, haunting him to this day.

“Harry!” Y/n flashed him a pearly grin that made him melt, every time. “You’re too good to me. Startin’ to make me feel like a shitty best friend.” She joked.

“Wouldn’t go that far, love. You’re m’favourite for a reason y’know.” Harry dismissed, shoving his hands in to his pockets as they began the short trek up the street, smiling shyly.

Y/n had finally been accepted in to the summer internship she’d been pining after for ages and Harry, being the smitten best friend that he was, took it upon himself to orchestrate an impromptu celebration. He nicked his mum’s car, and upon entering y/n offhandedly mentioned that it often smelt like pine needles and pertained the freshness of the outdoors, one of the many scents she associated with their shared childhoods. Harry simply offered her a lazy, nostalgic grin. That was the first moment that night, of many, that Harry swears he would’ve given anything to capture her expression then and there.

Harry felt giddy at y/n’s reaction when he explained that he was taking her to her favourite restaurant, after mysteriously picking her up in his mum’s car, license-less and declaring he was fully intent on spoiling her that night.

The Mediterranean restaurant was a little hole in the wall that made “the best food of our generation’ according to y/n. For those who had never encountered Lola’s previously, there would be immediate wariness, rightly so, as it was surreptitiously situated in the back of an alley in a fairly vacant part of town. That was a part of the appeal for y/n - she adored how such an incredible spot was concealed under a sketchy exterior. She got on wonderfully with the owners, as this had been their intent and she related to their vision wholeheartedly.

The walls of the hallway entrance were alive with illustrations painted by the homeless, morally lost or rebellious few that had previously gotten in trouble for spray painting the alley outside. The owners took them in, gave them a good meal when they needed it, and in exchange they released their pent-up artistry on the entrance hall. Though the truly mesmerising aspect could only be revealed at night, when the walls burst into flames of colour more vibrant than before, because the paint was glow-in-the-dark.

Harry grinned like a lovesick puppy at the Colgate-wite beam that lit up y/n face every time she saw the surface of the ever changing walls.

Fuck.

Harry pressed the heels of his palms to his eyes, wondering if he was losing his mind. The lights and shadows cast around the room via the window had begun to morph in to the familiar pictures on the restaurant hallway’s walls.

Harry had requested a secluded table for two in the very back corner of the restaurant, away from prying eyes, selfishly wanting this moment with her to himself.

Soft, golden lighting warmed the room, as if the exotic decor wasn’t enough. Lola’s really was a little bit of everything; booths were collected from American diners, chairs mimicked that of a Van Gogh painting whilst 70′s music permeated the air from the old record player. The furniture was as mismatched as the owners’ (Maria and Vince) taste but somehow, it worked magically.

The pair couldn’t erase their goofy grins for the entire night, oblivious to Vince’s knowing eyes when he collected their orders, Maria’s suggestive comments when she asked how they were enjoying their food and above all, the love practically radiating from each other.

Now pacing his room mindlessly as he retraced those steps he once took, Harry remembered the following moments as clear as day. He had relished them ever since, regardless of the fact that it had been slowly ruining him.

The street lamps illuminated Harry and y/n’s loitering figures as they stumbled down the sidewalk, a right giggling, fumbling mess. Her a little tipsy from the sangria she’d been treated to and him utterly drunk off his ass on happiness.

Ever the gentleman, Harry made to open the passenger side door for y/n gesturing for her to enter. She giggled and elevated herself on to her tip-toes to place a kiss on his cheek, though in her inebriated state, it landed a little too close to his mouth.

Indifferent, y/n slid unceremoniously in to the black leather seat. Harry smirked, and made a teasing face at her as she shut the car door and entered his own seat, mumbling a jibe along the lines of “yeh violating m’ lips there angel.” However he later became acutely aware of his clammy hands gripping the steering wheel like a vice and his hot, shaky exhales gradually clouding up his side window.

That was the first sign of what was to come.

y/n had no reservations to making herself at home; legs propped up on the dashboard and crossed at the heels, head nestling in to the little crook between Harry’s upper arm and forearm and hands digging in to the various compartments within reach until she released a little whoop of triumph.

A small cassette rested between her index and middle finger and she briefly flaunted it in the air for Harry to see. She pushed it in to the cassette player (thank goodness the car model still had one) and her eyes fluttered closed as she awaited the familiar accelerated heartbeat signalling the beginning of the song.

‘Ironic.’ Harry had mused to himself, sensing his own pulse hastening as y/n relaxed her body further into his own, her head resting neatly on his left thigh, almost in his lap.

‘Fuck’s sake,’ Harry thought to himself, throwing his head back in agony, ‘this woman has no mercy.’

So much had changed. He noticed how she had developed an American tinge to her accent, especially on certain syllables. She was as much a woman now as he was a man, although he would be the first to admit she got there first. Lola’s crossed his mind, and he mulled over the likelihood of it still being her favourite spot to eat, if Maria and Vince knew what had happened or perhaps she too couldn’t bear to revisit what was such a poignant part of their story. He mourned for their traditions. He wondered if she still had a soft spot for Pink Floyd cassettes. If hearing their songs on her second hand record player was still the only thing that could ease her in to slumber when she was having a restless night. He wondered if she still had a soft spot for him.

They returned to Harry’s home, completely shrouded in darkness due to it being temporarily unoccupied by his family, and somehow managed to get out of the car and in to the house without injury, save for Harry’s jacket getting caught on the door handle upon entry.

The thirty minutes that ensued consisted of the pair making the, slightly unwise, decision to raid Harry’s liquor cupboard in search of Anne’s ridiculously expensive and scarcely consumed rum.

“Now wha’ yeh climbing up on the counter fo’ Goose?”

“Reckon it’s up in this cupboard here Haz. The good stuff’s always hidden.”

“Oi be careful love!”

“Oh hush, I’m a big girl I’ll have you know!”

Further on in the night and after several more sips of rum, they’re semi-platonically sprawled over each other atop Harry’s bed, the stars through the window mirroring those in their eyes since they were too lazy to close the curtains.

By now they’re both tipsy, though they’re sensible enough not to cross the line to drunkenness, both hoping for the same thing and not wanting to be unable to remember it in the morning.

Harry seemed suitably more affectionate than usual, and y/n was dazed and smiley. Until Harry suddenly grew very sombre and deep, brows furrowing and eyes distant.

Y/n frowned, gently tapping his chin for him to face her. “What’re you brooding about, H?”

He blinked, eyes stinging with a hot wetness, his emotional state slightly intensified due to the alcohol circulating his system.

“I don’ ever want yeh to let go of me.” He sniffled, suddenly growing self-conscious.

Y/n understood this was no time for a light-hearted response, taking a moment to formulate an appropriate one.

“I’m never letting you go. Doesn’t matter where we are, I’m always with you, yeah?” Though it was not voiced, both of them were silently thinking of Harry’s musical dream.

“I jus’- there’s something I’ve been wanting to do since I met yeh, Goose. An’ I know I’ll probably make a mess o’ things, but I’ve waited over ten years t’ do it an’ I’ll probably regret it fo’ the rest of my life if i don’ get another chance.”

Y/n breath caught in her throat as she took in Harry’s flushed cheeks and fearful gaze.

He was vulnerable. And she’d never been in love with him more.

“With you no matter what, yeah?” She bit her lip and whispered, only for his ears, “Do it.”

And then his lips are on hers, and he’s thinking he never wants to leave this.

Their kisses are messy, dizzying and hesitant, with the warm tasting alcohol trapping them in a haze that consisted only of each other. And it’s like he can’t get enough of the taste of her and her lips - they’re addicted to each other.

He pulls away, finally feeling bold enough to finally release the words that had been suffocated for years. “I’m in love wit’ yeh, my Angel.”

Y/n’s eyes fluttered closed and for a moment he felt as if he’d finally pushed her too far and overstepped. But then she pressed her forehead to his and murmured the words back, her lips brushing against his at times.

“I’m in love with you, H. Been wanting this too, so much.”

She took his hand and pressed it firmly to her chest, above her breasts, with her hands delicately placed over his, returning their lips back to each other.

Their kisses became more assured and intimate, hardly pausing to experience each other’s hot exhales clouding about them. They’re lightheaded and Harry’s addiction increases each time her mouth encases his bottom lip and then gently takes it between her teeth, sensually tugging it with her as she pulls away. Their kisses are addictive and bodily contact is demanded - craved. They’re pressed against each other, needing the closeness desperately.

Their clothes came off, aside from underwear, and Harry made Y/n feel like a girl in the movies when he slowly unzipped her dress, kissing his way down the slope of her spine. He was a sucker for cheesy shit like that, and wanted his girl to feel the way he saw her - too awe-inspiring to even begin to describe with words.

Though the nagging thought at the back of his mind that they may be too drunk for more prevents Harry from going any further. Until y/n breathlessly confirms that she is comfortable and willing, taking his large hand once again, but this time slipping it beneath her powder blue lacy bra.

When you thought about it, the colour typically would give an innocent impression, but Harry swore he’d never again see something so erotic. The design was revealing, and framed her breasts divinely, with the sheerest of lace enough to be a tease but not enough to prevent the visibility of her hardened nipples.

Harry’s eyes met hers and he kissed her with all inhibitions gone.

Her hands danced across his searing skin, gripping and groping when he deliciously nicked the sensitive spots on her neck and collarbone. They whispered things only they knew and loved on each other for what felt like their own eternity.

They fall in to an alcohol and love induced slumber, until Harry awakens in the earliest hours of the morning and can’t help but admire his girl. They put their underwear back on in case of the sudden need to get dressed the following morning, Harry paling at the thought of anyone else seeing what he had been privileged to.

His fingers lightly travel over the curvatures of her skin until he can’t take it anymore and kissed her all over. She wakes up and soon they’re both looking at each other through hooded gazes, lazy smiles on their faces. They kiss some more as the alcohol hasn’t entirely worn off, so their movements are languid and unrushed.

He confesses a strong affection towards her breasts, “M’ new favourite things,” and tipsily buries his face in them, offhandedly commenting on their beauty, roundness and pillowyness, “what yeh laughin’ fo’ love? Just sayin’ they’re comfy.”

She suddenly states, “’S a bit hot” and undoes her bra, Harry having a comical reaction filled with adoration and wonder. They shimmy out of the rest of their underwear but it’s non sexual, they’re naked and they’re comfortable and they’re loving on each other’s bodies without intentions for it to go anywhere.

He’s on his side, head buried between her breasts, and she’s on her back with her legs thrown over his thighs since he had put them there himself, with one of his hands serenely stroking circles on the ass cheek that’s exposed since she’s not completely flat on her back, eventually stilling with his large hand spread over as much of the skin as possible.

“For safe keepin’.” He slurred in to the valley between her breasts.

Her hand found purchase in his curly locks, massaging his scalp the way he’d always loved more than he liked to admit, and now she was doing it for longer and in the intimate way as his lover not his friend that he’d always wanted.

And so they fell back to sleep, bare to each other mind, body and soul, their hands clasped together over Harry’s heart.

Harry’s tears flowed in agony and mourning for what he gained and then lost so quickly.

He heard a gentle knock on his door, the familiar sound pattern telling him it was y/n. She had probably heard his cries and come to offer him solace. But how? How could she forgive him when he couldn’t even begin to forgive himself?

Everything about that night had been incredible.

Until the next morning when they woke and y/n had no recollection of what they had shared.

so this slightly killed me, i started with 29 songs and 3 full albums. i got it down to 14 songs and 3 full albums. i don’t care, the albums need to be on there in full because i’ve listened to them from start to finish so often.

i decided to only do kpop/kpop related and limit myself to songs released in 2017 otherwise roy kims whole discography would be on and i would have to cut down from over a 100 songs probably. all titles will be links if you’re curious :D

the first six are in order afterwards not.

1. Verse 2 - JJ Project.

this album okay. this fucking album. i fell in love with jjp in 2012 and during the five years it took them to comeback i’ve probably listened to the bounce single over a thousand times. this album is a 180 in music style but goddammit it hit me. this mellow RnB sound just relaxes me so much. the thing is that this is full of emotions that is conveyed through their voices and their voices compliment each other so much. and i think it has a lot to do with the fact that they were so involved with the making of the album. their solo songs fit them perfectly and i get feels every time i listen to it. i have listened to this album minimum once a day since it’s been released and i’m still not over it. will probably never be over it.

2. Stone Heart - Taemin

okay first of all the whole move album is amazing but stone heart captured me. his album came out while i was in korea or just before i left. for around four days during that trip i basically only had this song on repeat. the beat, the atmosphere, his fucking voice okay it’s just. so. good. it’s sultry in the best way. and now every time i hear it i can smell korea which is nice as well. i’m so proud of him and this album really cermented that, seeing him grow so much just warms my heart. but can he please just start wearing clothes that’s not see through or just put on a fucking shirt pls.

3. 7 for 7 - GOT7

another full album i know but i would make it into one song if i could alright? so good. first of all this feels like an /album/, this songs are consistent and have a red thread in their atmosphere. i don’t feel like i’m being jerked around in different directions when i listen to it which is a big plus for me. again the boys being so involved with the producing does a lot, it makes it more personal and i feel like it shines through. (jaebum miming along to the chorus of teenager fx.) also i get caught up in feels when i listen to it, it makes me want to belt out the songs with them and i have had too many loudly singalongs to this album. at work, at home, in my head walking the streets.

4. Cave Me In - Gallant, Tablo & Eric Nam

this song is just. wow. just fucking wow. listen to it, feel it in your body and then scream at how good it is okay. their voices blend so well and the flow of the song is so nice. it kind of invites you along. i also really like the lyrics. it’s a song where when it comes on i just kind of stop what i’m doing and listen to it, taking it in. it’s just amazing.

5. Hush - Primary feat. JB of GOT7

so this is probably also the year i fell in love with jaebum’s voice... i actually really liked the whole album. it was filled with some of my favourite kpop vocals of all time and i would’ve put the whole album on here but i had to limit myself. this song though made me realise how good jaebum could sound if his voice is utilized correctly. sometimes in got7 songs his voice can end up rather shrill which hurts my ears. but in this one it’s again kinda mellow and soft even when he goes into the higher notes. it makes it extremely pleasant to listen to. really well produced.

6. Circles - G.Soul

another full album, but the last one. i’ve always enjoyed g.soul’s voice. and i absolutely adored his dirty album. i have at some point since the release of this album had all of the songs on repeat. again it’s such a well produced album that even if goes from a party song like tequila to the more slow and relaxing beat of can’t it doesn’t feel out of place. you get to appreciate his vocals in a completely new way that you didn’t when he was under jype. it’s sultry and inviting in all the right ways and so relaxing. if you haven’t heard it pls listen to it.

7. Plz Don’t Be Sad - Highlight

their first comeback after leaving cube and it was perfect. beast were always consistent with their comebacks and it seems like highlight will be too. this is such a fun and happy song and it makes me smile when i listen to it. the music video made me chuckle. this is all in all just a song that makes me so happy and smiley. and they all looked so good, so so good.

8. Swimming Fool - Seventeen Performance Unit.

another happy song. this song is perfect for this unit because it’s a song that makes you wanna dance. it’s a song that has a vibe of being carefree and loving life. i just can’t help but smile when it comes on, and wriggle in my seat if i’m sitting down. i see swimming pools and the ocean in my mind when i listen to this song.

9. Artist - Zico

fun song, fun mv, fun everything. i want to sing along to this song when it comes on. i want to groove with the music and i let myself drift along to the playful beat. it so light and kind of airy?? i like the small sounds laying over the beat. the sax that comes in shortly and as always the way zico plays with the flow is incredible.

10. Really Really - Winner

i adored their last comeback with taehyun and i was worried how they would do without his vocals because their music before has relied alot on it. especially jinwoo since i figured there would be an increase in lines for him. he’s not the strongest vocal but wow i was impressed. the flow of the song, the blend of voices and the use of jinwoo’s soft warm voice really really (kekeke) got me. it’s a song that makes you want to dance, it’s a song that you can’t help but fall for.

11. Egoist - Roy Kim

this is probably my least favourite album from roy. which is evident in the way that i haven’t listened it to death. the title song though, so light and fun. it’s a song that kind of gives me the feeling of being full of happiness. his voice is soft and soothing and the melody and beat is playful. it makes me think of summer and that’s really what he does so well. making albums fitting each season that you can’t help but mentally teleporting to that season.

12. Not Today - BTS

i love this song. the beat that’s heavy but kinda funky? like it seems more based on a bass than a drum which yesh please. it flows so well and the chorus. again it’s a song that sweeps me along for the ride and i can’t help but sing along or mime and have fun with them. also i like making weird faces to this song which i have no idea why.

13. Ko Ko Bop - EXO

ko ko bop is a bop. so summer chill and relaxing. their vocals shine through. in the beginning i had a hard time with the breakdown because i enjoy the chillness of the verses. every time i hear it i sees light clouds on a blue sky. the styling tho why oh god why.

14. Oh Hey Yeah - Gikwang

this song again is so chill. i just want to lay down and listen to his voice. i was really excited for his solo comeback and i love the whole album. another example of a voice used right. he’s not the strongest vocal and his low tones a so much more comfortable to listen to and this is a song full of them. i kinda just melt listening to his voice in this song. it’s almost as if he’s whispering the song into your ear while you’re cuddling.

15. Honeymoon - B.A.P

first of i love this mv. the colours blew me away. what really got me with this song is their vocals. there’s not as many high notes in this song compared to their other titles songs. and while i love the high notes of daehyun, he’s deeper tones takes me to fucking paradise. also what’s up jongup when did your voice becomes so fucking amazing? it’s a song that makes me happy and think of the ocean (which is apparently happiness for me??) the rap blends in well and yeah. i’m in love with how all of their voices sounds in the song. gives me the feels.

16. Empty Road - Taeyang

i haven’t really been as excited over the different releases from bb this year as i usually am. i think the whole thing with tabi really threw me out of it. it’s really evident since this list is missing gd songs and only has a single yb song. i like the softness of this song and it kind of reminds me of my childhood. the guitar and melody feels familiar to me and it’s super relaxing. his voice doesn’t go shrill and he’s using a lot of his lower tones which is when i love his voice the most.

17. Here Comes the Regrets - Epik High feat. Lee Hi

i haven’t heard this song as much and mostly it because it hits so hard. the emotions in their voices kills me. first of all lee hi and her gorgeous voice. the chorus gives me goosebumps. tablo and his voice, first of fuck you how are you so good at heartbreak, second so good i love you. mithra rapping in english?? omfg wow okay i’m so impressed by everything. then that beat tukutz why. so many fucking feels. so good. i just can’t fucking handle it. also can we just talk about the brigde? the deepness of her voice unf.
