I got to thinking about q!Bad’s memory lapses again and just realized how mixed up this poor guy might be with them post-island reset??

he’s gonna completely forget places and things like he’s done before, but they will Actually Not Be There Now. the feeling something is missing, wiped from the land, which is soon to be filled by new activity. recognition fading in and out as old clashes with new, difficulty to use the surroundings as an anchor bc what used to be familiar isn’t anymore…

I haven’t watched today’s episode yet but I’m a sucker for spoilers so I know what happened. I know there can obviously be fuckups at hospitals, but you’re telling me that the hospital in Germany would just let Eun-seong be with Hae-in after her surgery? Especially when it’s someone they’ve never seen with Hae-in before? Especially when they know Hae-in would most likely lose her memories and be in a vulnerable state? Especially when Hae-in made a considerable donation to the hospital? Especially when the lawyer husband they have seen a lot had previously threatened them with a lawsuit? Like, for those last two factors alone, I’d be taking such good care of Hae-in if I were that hospital.

I don’t think Jonathan would lie to Mina about her being in danger, so I think that IF he didn’t actually have a memory lapse, he woke up on a park bench shaken and bone-tired with that same dreadful feeling he did waking up in his room in Dracula’s castle: was that horror just a dream?

He’s been having nightmare after nightmare for months now. Maybe the sight of the monster that lurks in them was just another nightmare he’s waking up from.
