As much as I want to have Duke Thomas take the Jason Todd/Red Hood slot in a Reverse Robins type story, it feels like it'd be easier to put him in the Barbara Gordon Batgirl/Oracle position. Seeing Batman going about and doing his thing, and then being like, "Yeah, sure, I can pull that off," then having absolutely no quit when it comes to digging into dangerous problems that need to get solved and solving them with smarts and grit. I can also more easily see him catching a few in the spine as collateral damage to psychologically get at his mother more than I can see him getting exploded because he decided to dig into his family history. Imagine Duke's first interaction with Batman is when his parents find the Bat injured and bring him inside to patch him up, much like in canon. I don't doubt that Bruce Wayne would repay the favor, and suddenly Elaine Thomas is a person that Batman sends people to for help while getting all the funding and assistance she could ever ask for (and a lot more that she didn't, but she's not letting it go to waste), while Doug Thomas is brought into a construction labor union on a recommendation nobody can quite place the origin of and begins to work his way up the ranks, being an effective advocate for the rights of the city's workers. Actually, maybe Duke's gunshot wounds are a consequence of the mafia trying to get at Doug Thomas on union business. (MLK got popped speaking at a rally for sanitation workers in Menphis, so it's not like it couldn't happen.) Not even strictly villian related, but a product of the general Gotham environment and how almost every system seems to be corrupt on multiple levels. (Duke: "Do you think one bad day would stop me? It's Gotham, Bruce. Sometimes you just have bad days. Then tomorrow happens and you try again.") He's in a wheelchair for awhile, but slowly starts to heal over time for what seems like no apparent reason. At least until the metagene kicks in fully, anyway.
Then again, Jason Todd's death happened in Ethiopia, and he and Batman were in the country for different reasons. Maybe it'd be easier to get the Thomas Family killed if Duke stayed in Gotham (Jason was supposed to be on the bench if i remember right) and Gnomon popped up to try to claim his son. Things get wild, there's a spike in Metahumans for a week or two as it seems like almost everybody gets to be one, the Justice League on Batman watch to make sure he doesnt kill the Iranian Ambassador (the Joker, somehow), and while it's written off as an issue with the water supply, some get to keep their powers at the cost of being continually shunned and end up being treated somewhere between a like a leper snd like a living bomb.
The "No metas in Gotham" thing (that I'm honestly not sure ever was canon) isn't a Batman rule as much as a "I'm not trying to get hate crime'd so I'm gonna avoid the city like the plague" thing.
Either way, Gnomon ends up beaten and Thomas family ends up dead at the hands of an angry mob while trying to defend innocent metas from the nonsense of some villian. Only, Duke ends up coming back because Superboy Prime's Source Wall punch decides to reactivate Duke's body and metagene. After coming back and recovering in a city that's still, well, Gotham, he decides that that whole Batman thing didn't work and comes at the problem from the other side, making it his personal mission to get at Gotham's crime problem by putting himself in a position where he can fight for people pressured into bad situations, even more so if Gnomon comes back around, wondering why his son would debase himself by spending time among these fragile humans instead of ruling over them. The Omen becomes the feared figure among the mobs and gangs of Gotham, especially when some wake up to a golden hooded figure standing over their bed, before he whispers a warning and fades into the rooms shadows before the light of day fully peeks through the windows. Stories circulate about certain people being protected, like good teachers, preachers, priests, nuns, soup kitchen runners, respected public defenders, certain cops, generally "good" people or people making a positive difference in a way that earns them the animosity of the corrupt. Perhaps the worst of them wake up badly beaten in a jail cell that's permanently darkened by shadow, the only light coming from a small window on the cell door and the glowing eye painted on the ceiling, evidence of their crimes on their chest or on a trusted officer's desk.
Though honestly, I think I just need to learn more about Jason Todd and Barbara Gordon to make either work.
Or maybe just go to sleep.

In the list of AUs that will never happen the Basil introduces Music Meister to the rest of the Mud Pact and he becomes an unofficial sixth member is one of my faves. I just ship them a lot.
Cassius is thrilled to have another fun uncle and Darius may help Basil ruin the kid by turning them into a non-binary THEATER kid. Wich is the worse type of queer kid (I was one, I know). They cry in joy as Cassius (in his disguised human form) decides to audition to the middle school production of Beuty and the Beast.
Preston decides Darius is a better influence to his son than Basil or Matt. He does ask to study Darius metagene because he is looking for meta habilities as a way to cure his condition (or at least don't suffer in blinding pain unless he kills people sometimes).
Sondra is less thrilled and is actually very intimidating at first because she sees Basil as an older brother and has questions about the man who dared to date him. After realizing he has good intentions she is fine with him.
Matt is Matt. He is the chillest guy around and accepts new realities pretty easily (became a clay monster = oh well let's comit thematic crimes than it appears to be fun) so he may joke around Darius but is actually very friendly and it's just happy Music Meister didn't pick Basil costume of calling him Matthew.
P.S: Rita Farr is also an unoficial member of the Mud Pact since she and Basil were old Hollywood best frennimies before both becaming monsters. She was way less thrilled than Darius with this as while she likes them she is a hero and they are decidedly not (specially Matt).

DC NG | Batfam
The next generation of the Batfam in my DC next gen AU is quite diverse to say the least. Bruce now has several grandkids he can only see on weekends bc of Jahzara and Vicia.
Sanai Sheila Todd | Toxin
Sanai is the only daughter of the Red Hood (Jason Todd) and Crimson (Vicia Lopez Todd). She is a member of the second iteration of the Watchers. Like her brother Rubio, she's born with Vicia's Metagene. However her powers are different. Unlike her mother and brother who can control blood, Sanai can control acid. She mainly does this by controlling the acidity of her own blood as well as the blood of others.
Sanai is named after two people: Vicia's best friend from juvie Sanai and Jason's biological mother Sheila.
Her and Trident (Wade Yates), son of founders Cybiotic (Jonah Yates) and Sirena (La'Frida Nile Yates), are dating.
Haywood Todd
The youngest child and second son of Red Hood and Crimson. Haywood has no interest in being a superhero or vigilante. Instead he wants to do something more productive like being a pianist. His family supports this dream and he often stays behind at Wayne Manor practicing.
Adaeze Thomas | Luna Moth
Adaeze is the protege of Spoiler (Stephanie Brown) and preteen daughter of the Signal and Fatale. Steph originally wanted her to have the mantle of Batgirl but Jahzara refused by saying "At least give her her own name if you're going to indoctrinate my daughter into this cycle." And so Luna Moth was born.
Adaeze has a variation of Duke's light powers as she can channel light and use it to make objects such as weapons.
Obi Thomas
Obi the youngest of the Thomas children being a 4th grader. Both Duke and Jahzara want him to have a normal life and encourage him to pursue something outside of heroism.
Bloom Quinzel-Isley | Gardenia
Bloom is the daughter of Poison Ivy (Pamela Isley) and Harley Quinn (Harleen Quinzel) and the half sister of Lucy Quinn. Following in the villainous footsteps of her mothers, Bloom is a major villain of the next gen continuity. She has Pam's plant powers and is resistant to poisons and acids like Harley.
Felicia Wayne | Stray
Felicia is the second daughter of Batman and Catwoman and the leader of the Strays. Felicia is an antihero and a chaotic neutral. Her and her gang have no problem committing crimes such as robbery but also save innocent people caught in the crossfire. Her sister is Huntress (Helena Wayne).
Wade Yates | Trident
Wade is the newest leader of the Watchers and son of its founders Cybiotic and Sirena. Due to his Metahuman parentage, Wade was also born with a Metagene which allows him to emit supersonic waves containing nanobots. These bots can rearrange the molecular structure of objects.

There is little reason for me to deny my own psychosis, at least outside of the context of persuading medical professionals that I am not subhuman. Do I hear things that other people cannot hear? Yes. Do I see things that other people cannot see? Yes. Do I engage in magical thinking in my day-to-day life, attributing supernatural causes to mental states and ordinary events? Yes. Do I believe myself to be an incarnation of the Devil, and perhaps even an antichrist of sorts? Yes, absolutely.
It is rather commonplace in current online metaphysical communities, particularly those which place an emphasis on a certain garden-variety of social justice, for psychosis and spiritual reality to be regarded as entirely separate beasts. There is sometimes a humanitarian argument behind this division: The last thing psychotic people need, so it is said, is for people around them to validate their psychotic experiences and assign any kind of spiritual value to their psychosis. Not only do these divisions run contrary to historical and modern-day shamanistic practices, modern psychology recognizes that schizophrenic people tend to be happier in communities where spirit-communication is embraced. Notably, symptoms known as “psychosis” to psychologists are also common to the well-recognized spiritual condition “shaman sickness”, which often occurs during or after a period of shamanic initiation and spiritual awakening. Shaman sickness is treated through spiritual guidance and healing, and one can recover by finding balance—and, often, by learning to accept spirits in one’s life without being oppressed, overwhelmed, or overcharged by their presences.
I think it is uncomfortable for some people to accept that there can be a spiritual reality to madness, both in that madness can bring divine revelations and that madness can have distinct spiritual causes. In my experience, these modern metaphysical communities sit in an odd position between accepting and denying the reality of the supernatural. In the United States, peers of this body’s age have all been taught that “woo” is neither medicine nor a replacement for medicine, among other things, and there is a strong hesitation to be the kind of practitioner who would allege anything as outrageous as miraculous healings or metagenic (i.e. metaphysically-caused) illness. A bias can be found here: While practitioners tend to deny the veracity of experiences during psychosis, they also tend to trust information gained during most other altered states of consciousness. It is as though the chemical imbalance found in psychotic brains invalidates a psychotic person’s spirituality, while the chemical imbalance found in brains during psychedelic trips is celebated as part of ancient shamanic practices. Because psychosis and schizospectrum experiences are considered medical, they are also considered mundane (i.e. nonmagical).
These contradictions are steeped in ableism and an imperialised/imperialising state of mind. Sanity is a necropolitical construct. It allows the sane to abuse, imprison, and murder the mad. It is an excuse to imperialise and genocide cultures whose traditions fall beyond the imaginary boundary of “sanity”. It is a whip for capitalists to crack in the name of productivity. “This work is no burden to a sane person!” they might say, cutting wages and demanding unpaid overtime as they arrange a mandatory meeting on eliminating depression in the workplace.
Magic is not sane. The fifth edition of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual published by the American Psychiatric Association makes distinctions between normal and abnormal spirituality, advising mental health practitioners to consider the difference between spiritual practices which are “broadly accepted” and those which are not when making diagnoses. Psychiatry, as an institution, generally regards magical thinking as a symptom of a disease. (It also usually regards psychedelic usage as a disease in and of itself, which many metaphysical communities more readily regard as a spurious viewpoint. In some social circles, it seems fatigue from the war on drugs has set in, but the war on insanity continues.)
For magical practitioners in western societies, sanity is a kind of social performance: a mask that dilutes one’s gnosis into the most culturally acceptable presentation possible. Excluding the mad from the metaphysical, therefore, is a kind of respectability politics, where those who are either openly neurodiverse or unable to perform the social mask of sanity are ineligible for consideration as magical practitioners. Oftentimes, the inverse is also true: Online psychosis support communities often reject or isolate members with occult interests and ban occult discussion of any kind. For many people in these support communities, there seems to be a motivation to display oneself as a model psychotic person who takes antipsychotics religiously, obeys psychiatrists in all circumstances, and rejects superstition of all kinds.
Any deconstruction of the boundaries between madness and spirituality (or, in a related context, between madness and creativity) threatens the imperial-capitalist construct of sanity. It must be unhealthy and burdensome to be mad, because it is healthy and right to be a productive worker who is completely abled and sane. It must not be spiritual to be mad, either, because Christian hegemony demands that spirituality retains enough power to be profitable, and so madness is either entirely mundane or, depending on who you ask, is perhaps the result of scornworthy spiritual practices.
The artificial boundaries between madness and magic serve only to repress spirituality that doesn’t benefit the powerful. I am a madperson, and my madness and my spirituality are inextricably linked. I don’t want to bury the fact that I am psychotic and plural in the footnotes of my life. I refuse to choose between being mad and being magical.
Mad people deserve all rights to self-determination, including religious freedom. Mad pagans are pagans, and mad witches are witches.

Tumblr media
The digestive enzyme supplements market comprises supplements that contain enzymes like proteases, lipases, and amylases. These enzymes help in the breakdown of proteins, fats, and carbohydrates respectively during digestion. With hectic lifestyles and changing eating habits, digestive issues like indigestion, bloating, heartburn etc. have become quite common. Digestive enzyme supplements help boost digestive health and alleviate such symptoms. They are available as capsules, tablets, and powders and are taken before or after meals. The Global Digestive Enzyme Supplements Market is estimated to be valued at US$ 569 Mn in 2024 and is expected to exhibit a CAGR of 11% over the forecast period 2023 to 2030. Key Takeaways Key players operating in the digestive enzyme supplements market are National Enzyme Company, Garden of Life LLC, Country Life LLC, Rainbow Light Nutritional System Inc., Food State Inc., Matsun Nutrition, Metagenics, Inc., TwinLab Corporation, Abbott Nutrition, Amway Corporation, Klaire Labs, Zenwise Health LLC, Integrative Therapeutics, LLC, Douglas Labs, Enzymedica Inc., Thorne Research Inc., Pure Encapsulations, LLC, Ortho Molecular Products Inc., Allergy Research Group, Biotics Research Corp. The growing prevalence of lifestyle diseases due to erratic schedules and unhealthy diets has fueled the demand for digestive enzyme supplements. Technological advancements have led to the development of more effective formulations with enhanced bioavailability and tolerability. Market Trends The digestive enzyme supplements market is witnessing increasing adoption of vegetarian and vegan formulations. With the rising trends of plant-based diets, manufacturers are developing supplements derived from non-animal sources like fungi and plants. Another key trend is the launch of digestive enzymes supplements targeted for specific symptoms and user groups. For example, supplements for gas, bloating, diarrhea or constipation and also formulations for children, adults or elderly. Market Opportunities Growth opportunities exist in emerging markets of Asia Pacific and Latin America owing to rising health consciousness. Market players can leverage the potential of online retailing and e-commerce platforms for marketing and sales of digestive enzyme supplements. Manufacturers can also focus on leveraging technologies like enteric coating for developing sustained-release supplements with enhanced efficacy. The COVID-19 pandemic has significantly impacted the growth of the digestive enzyme market. With rising cases of COVID-19 infections, most countries imposed nationwide lockdowns to curb the spread of the virus. This led to temporary closure of manufacturing facilities of various digestive enzyme products. Moreover, restrictions on logistic operations disrupted the supply chain, creating a significant shortage of enzymes in the market. However, post-lockdown easing, digestive enzyme manufacturers are focusing on expanding their production capacities and ensuring uninterrupted supply. They are also offering various online purchasing and delivery options to cater to growing demand. The pandemic has also increased awareness about maintaining optimum immunity and gut health. There is rising adoption of digestive enzymes as a supplementary diet to improve digestion as well as boost immunity against infections. Various clinical studies are being conducted to determine the efficacy of specific enzymes in the management of COVID-19 symptoms. Considering the long-term effects of COVID-19 on digestive system, the demand for enzymes is expected to remain high in the coming years. Manufacturers need to invest in R&D to develop novel formulations that can efficiently address digestive issues amidst the ongoing pandemic.

🧠BRAIN AND VITAMINS
The mind is not just the place where thoughts, projects, speeches and dreams overlap.
It is also the command center of the corps.
🧠A series of fundamental molecules are produced in the brain: neurotransmitters and hormones.
Between these:
DOPAMINE: triggers action.
NORADRENALIN: stimulates the continuation of the action.
SEROTONIN: stimulates the cessation of action.
MELATONIN: promotes sleep and recovery.
GABA: controls fear and anxiety.
All these molecules, which allow us to act, think, choose, depend on B vitamins.
Especially vitamins B6, B9, B12, and Magnesium.
This is why in past centuries brewer's yeast or Betotal was suggested for tired or nervous people.
Even now, in cases of physical or metabolic difficulty we try to integrate vitamins and minerals.
B12 deficiency is so widespread, as is magnesium deficiency.
So, when a disorder occurs such as: insomnia, bad mood, tiredness, agitation, tingling, apathy, the first thing to do is to integrate vitamins and minerals.
A deficiency of B vitamins, especially folic acid and B12, is seen by measuring homocysteine in the blood.
For women homocysteine must be around 10 and in men 12 micro-moles, the reference values are worthless, they are too wide.
Examples of effective products for those who know them or to compare with those you have at home:
Vitamin B supplements >
- Selenium yeast, Cento Fiori
- B one hundred, One Hundred Flowers
- Proteggovit, Cento Fiori
- Strat - B, tablets or syrup
- Folico Cento
- B-Dyn Metagenics
- Mineral supplements:
- Regobasic, Schwabe
- Aximagnesio, Schwabe
After having done a check it is essential to speak with your pharmacist and/or your doctor.

🧠CERVELLO E VITAMINE
DOPAMINA: da l'avvio all'azione.

Personalized Medicine Market Latest Scenario On Innovation, Revolutionary Opportunities & Top Consumers 2033
The global Personalized Medicine Market is valued at US$ 315.7 Billion in 2022 and is expected to reach US$ 690.9 Billion by 2033, expanding at a CAGR of 7.8% between 2022 and 2033.
In recent years, a significant focus is on how to employ advanced analytics, customized drugs, patient data, and other tools to better identify and treat illnesses. People are becoming more aware of the benefits of personalized treatment, and more genetic databases are being developed. These factors have been driving the global market for personalized medicine.
More patients using personalized medication might help neurology, lung medicine, antiviral medicine, and psychiatry. This would broaden the global market for personalized treatment. The global personalized medicine market is also faltering as a result of increased research and development costs and poor side effects.

Over the forecast period, the personalized medicine market is expected to grow as more people develop chronic illnesses such as diabetes and cancer, more people receive combination pharmacological therapy, the global population ages, and more clinical studies for personalized medicine are conducted in neurology departments.
However, the exorbitant cost of customized drugs is stifling business growth. Due to the favorable government reimbursement criteria and low medical defect and side effect concerns, the market is expected to grow.
The growing number of cancer types and the low cost of personalized medicine therapy in cancer medications are expected to boost the global personalized medicine market. Cancer killed more than 9 million people in 2018, according to the World Health Organization. It kills almost one out of every six people worldwide.
North America was the prominent market for personalized medicines. The development of next-generation sequencing technologies and the implementation of health information technology systems are assisting in the expansion of the personalized medicine industry in North America. These technologies make it simple to get customized pharmacogenomic information in a timely and convenient manner.
