My boss asked me if I thought I'd get homesick. I said I'd miss the Mexican food back home, but I wouldn't be crying over my family or anything (and I truly do miss the Mexican food back home because the Mexican food I've had here is average at best).
My mom asked me if there was anything I missed about home. I said the trees. All the trees here are so Christmas-y looking. There also aren't nearly as many of them here. And the mountains are beautiful, but they're so big and high, and they surround me from all sides, and it almost feels like being trapped in a bowl. So yeah, I miss my forests of green.
Food and trees dude. Food and trees. These are the things I miss the most.
