The article titled "MGR-1 Honest John: U.S. Infantry’s Atomic Firepower?" by Tom Laemlein on The Armory Life explores the history and significance of the MGR-1 Honest John rocket. The Honest John was the first nuclear-capable surface-to-surface rocket in the U.S. arsenal, which made headlines when it was deployed to Europe in 1954. It was a simple, unguided artillery rocket capable of carrying either a 20-kiloton nuclear warhead or a conventional explosive. Although never used in combat, the Honest John served as a significant nuclear-capable deterrent during the Cold War. It was eventually replaced by the Lance missile in 1973, but remained in service until 1982. Throughout its lifespan, the Honest John was deployed to various global hotspots to act as a strategic deterrent, including Europe and Korea. Despite considerations to deploy it to Vietnam, military leadership ultimately decided against it due to concerns over its nuclear association and vulnerability to enemy fire. The article also references the technical specifications and development history of the Honest John, emphasizing its role in showcasing U.S. military strength during tense geopolitical times.

So, Raiden has DID, right. This is a fact.
What do you think about his system? I know you write fanfic about him, do you think there are any other elaborated parts other than Raiden and The Ripper? (I'm not a fan of "evil murder alter," but I feel like naming would be pretty ambiguous. :)
Hey anon, I am sorry in advance but this answer is 2263 words long lmao Go sit back with a beverage of your choice (I recommend water) and enjoy the ride.
[Not sure if you’ve read my little attempt at an essay from July 2022 about him having DID (it’s here), but I do consider it outdated now and would love to update it (same as the one on him having ASPD) at some point when I got the energy for that.]
This is a fact made me laugh a bit, ngl.
I am not a fan of the “evil murderer alter” thing either (I watched Split once and while I give my kudos to the actor’s portrayal of various alters, the story itself sucks ass and I also found it boring as hell to be honest) — if anything, Raiden’s entire system consists of “evil murderer alters”, or none of such at all. We’re speaking about a character who admits to enjoying murder, and that wasn’t The Ripper speaking back then in MGS2 either — Raiden isn’t left in the dark of his violent nature, but he’s left in the dark about the details.
I don’t want to give too many spoilers for my fanfiction series @mgsr-sing-to-me away, since the story goes in-depth about my concept of his DID system, how it was created and what each alter roughly represents, but I’ll try to give you a quick rundown:
Something I think most MGS fans can all agree on is that Raiden in all three games in which he appears feels somewhat different, to the point of ‘inconsistency’ even, and this has created my interpretation and headcanon for him to have DID in the first place, and Raiden having suffered from amnesia is a well-known canon fact.
To me, however, it’s not MGR Raiden who feels strongly different in terms of personality — it’s MGS4 Raiden who feels like an inconsistency.
I consider the Raiden we see in MGS4 actually a different alter being in control of the body than the one who is in control during MGS2. During MGR, it feels like a mix of both of those alters but let me get to that later.
‘Jack the Ripper’ is an obvious alter, not an ‘alter ego’, and when I played MGR in Japanese, the cutscene after the Monsoon boss battle in which Raiden touches the wound on his abdomen made me realise — hold on, he suffered amnesia right there.
Something that I strongly dislike about the English Dub of MGR is that Quinton Flynn isn’t really good at the portrayal of Jack. Throughout the Japanese dub, however, Ken’yuu Horiuchi uses his voice to show the literal switching between at least three alters present in Raiden throughout the game. Unfortunately, this isn’t evident in the English dub much at all, aside from the Jack the Ripper Awakens cutscene.
For easier understanding’s sake, I will give those alters some nicknames (also to prevent spoilers for my fanfiction):
The Raiden of Denial, as we see him both in the first half of MGR and MGS2
The Raiden of Dissociality, as we see in the later half of MGR and on and off during MGS2 (especially during {optional} Codecs with Rose)
Jack the Ripper
The Raiden of Sorrow, as we see him during MGS4
I took these 4 observed alters from the canon as my pillars to roughly create my concept for his DID system, which boils down to an approximate number of 16 or more alters in total.
I say ’16 or more’ because Raiden has never received adequate therapy for his mental health issues during canon, and it’s hard to determine an exact number of alters in general due to the covert nature of the disorder.
I decided to keep the exact number ambiguous but clear and simple enough to not get overwhelmed because technically someone with such severe trauma as his could result in poly-fragmented DID (aka 100 or more alters), but that’s not even set in stone.
Let me get into the specifics a bit.
Raiden of Denial alters are parts of him that are, what the (flawed) model of structural dissociation would probably call “apparently normal parts” (short: ANP). I take this model with a grain of salt because DID isn’t as neatly structured as this model suggests (in my experience), but to keep it simple, these alters are less aware of the full extent of their traumas and are therefore ‘functional’ in everyday life as well as interpersonal relationships, however, they feel less ‘fleshed out’ or ‘mask-like’ in his case sometimes.
All Raiden of Denial alters tend to run away from their past, hence I label them with the word “denial”. All of these alters are adults, and the apparent Host alter {at the time}, present in the first half of MGS2 until the nanomachines suppressing a part of his memory (aka suppressing the majority of the system) are deactivated by Solidus Snake, is one of such.
Throughout MGR, we can see two alters intruding on each other’s consciousness with thoughts, feelings and memories. One of them is like the one we see in MGS2 and the prologue of MGR, one in denial. Then there’s one we see sometimes in MGS2 and more and more prominently during MGR, a dissocial one.
We see an indirect switch right at the beginning of Chapter 1, where a dissocial type takes over. This shift is also picked up by Kevin, mentioning Raiden’s callousness that Raiden does not respond to.
These two alters are in so much conflict with each other throughout the game that Jack the Ripper decides that he’s had enough of that shit from the other two because neither of them is capable of handling being consistently confronted with triggers and reminders of “who they all really are on the inside”, and shoves them both out of the frame and takes on full control.
This comes with strong amnesia about what happens during his takeover. It’s not total blackout amnesia, but rather that it feels like watching himself act in the third person perspective, and the memory feels like Raiden is watching a YouTube video on a bad internet connection in 360p resolution.
Now Jack the Ripper is a persecutor-type of alter — an alter that has a protective role for the system, however, a persecutor’s methods are causing harm to the system overall.
I don’t want to give too much away from my fic as I said, but I’ll give you the hint that Jack the Ripper that we see during MGR is both an adult and a child at the same time.
A child who is trying to protect himself by lashing out at everyone and everything around him. It is obvious given the context of what we are told from the games that Jack the Ripper was born from the horrible things he was forced to witness and forced to do himself when he was a child soldier in Liberia, hence his age-ambiguity. And even The Ripper is split into several variants, making The Ripper his own category of alters.
The variants of The Ripper handle various parts of the horrible things that he had to endure as a child soldier, and they vary in ‘age’ and what triggers them out but they all behave roughly the same.
Despite being different alters of the same category, unlike the other alters within the same category, Ripper variants all consider themselves to be one and the same, perhaps unable to understand the barriers between them as well as gaps in memory.
Also one part of these alters is a child alter who has none of these violent and hostile traits at all, but is still a part of this category. This alter is protected by the rest of The Ripper, and contains all of these emotions that he was not allowed to openly show to guarantee his survival back in Liberia, like fear, sorrow, and pain but also empathy.
There are multiple of these child alters in the system, but they are hard to distinguish without giving them names, some have memories of their trauma, and some are completely oblivious.
The Sorrow type of alters are what we exclusively see in MGS4 and are what I associate with self-hatred, recklessness, suicidal ideation (internal homicide), self-harm and substance abuse.
Sorrow types are either adults or teenagers. They exclusively have a detailed awareness of Raiden’s addiction issues, which is another headcanon I have and is also listed in the content warnings for Sing to Me (ARC 2: Parasite Eve will handle this topic the most; and it may or may not be rather graphic, it depends on what I decide in the end what I will decide to publish).
Now I have listed 4 types of alters but I did not say anywhere that each category of them equates a set amount of alters to get to the number of 16 known alters in the system.
Because there’s another category to throw into the mix: Introjects.
So far, I have 4 introjects in mind that are part of Raiden’s system, but due to Sing to Me spoilers I cannot share them all.
Introjects are alters based on another person, be that a person in the system’s life, a celebrity they look up to, or even a fictional character. They exist in all DID systems in real life (and some sources confirm fiction-based introjects aka fictives since the 1980s) and their existence has a link to the psychology of child development.
One introject Raiden possesses is based on Solidus Snake/George Sears. Said alter is also a persecutor type and could be overlapping somewhat with the Ripper category, but is not a direct part of them. This persecutor introject of Solidus causes the entire system a major hit to their self-esteem, as he enacts the very same punishment onto the system, as the real Solidus Snake did on Raiden when he was a child soldier under his control, and also sabotages a lot of Raiden’s relationships by ‘protecting’ him from perceived threats that he sees in others.
Another I have in mind is perhaps based on Solid Snake/David and could have formed way before they’ve actually met. This makes sense because Raiden had gone through 2 years of VR training for the Big Shell mission, which put him into Snake’s role when he was on a solo infiltration mission on Shadow Moses Island in Alaska. This David introject is very loosely based on the actual person and is more of a fragment of what Raiden had been made to believe during those times. After their meeting, this introject might take the role of a ‘caretaker’ type of protector. Caretaker in this context must not be understood as to be something like a mother or father figure! However, this alter is counteracting the Solidus introject as well as the Ripper variants, by trying to get himself back on track.
Then there’s a fictive I feel like I can share about, and it’s the only female alter in the system: Ripley. And with that one I mean the actual Ellen Ripley from the first 4 movies of the Alien franchise.
Given that MGS2 mentions Raiden and Rose having met over arguing over King Kong, I came to think of what other types of fiction Raiden would enjoy and wrote myself a (still unfinished) list of movies and books.
The Alien franchise started in 1979 with the first movie, so it even matches timeline-wise that Raiden possibly saw those movies in his late teens, perhaps on TV or borrowed them from a local video rental store. Kaijū movies seem to be his thing, and although the Alien franchise is not considered one, it does overlap in some aspects of the genre.
Ripley as an alter might have formed when Raiden was moved into a foster family’s home, and to cope with his terrible nightmares that felt far too real, his psyche latched onto the fictional character to dissociate himself further from his past.
What I imagine is that he saw his nightmares, the flashbacks, and what he went through as something as undefeatable and unkillable as the xenomorph as described in the first movie, “the perfect survivor, without a conscience, guilt or remorse, nor moral code”.
Now Ripley was able to survive the xenomorph, and also kill it — by shooting it into space. Something that Raiden always wished to do with his past, just to erase it, as we learn in MGS2. At the time this alter takes its shape, he was maybe 15 or 16 years old. Ripley is also a protector, to protect the child in him additionally from pain. This alter then also takes a motherly role for the system inside Raiden’s Inner World, something that cannot be seen by an outsider.
The last introject I cannot say anything about it, since that one would give a too-harsh spoiler for my story plans with Sing to Me. I’d LOVE to talk about this alter and the absolute mindfuck he will create once he surfaces and interacts with other characters in the story, but my hands are tied. It sadly takes me so much time to work on the story due to the lack of energy I have overall, but it’s on my mind every single day. Even writing this answer took me two nights T_T
And considering that I’ve written over 2200 words to answer this ask already, I will make a cut here. Because honestly, I could write an entire book about Raiden (and Sam).
Which… I am actually doing, sort of, with my fic, due to its sheer estimated length of around 100 chapters for just the main story.

To that mgr dump. I get such a kick out of the idea that there's a "married couple on the verge of divorce" dynamic at the center of it. Raiden just happened to rush whatever havoc was going on between Armstrong and Sundowner to its logical end. It’s obvious Armstrong was never going to invite Desperado to his new world order, just work them into the ground. Needed someone with enough dirt on them to bring it up later/use as a lever. He knew full well what he had to work with. Still, Sundowner is… out there. Armstrong needed extreme measures to achieve his extreme goals, and Sundowner must’ve been the one testing his limits. Like “you sure you can handle this? :) no REALLY are you??”. He’s great at managing chaos with chaos and weeding out those who can’t keep up, and his respect system is built on this. In this worldview, Armstrong deserves respect because, evidently, he can thrive under pressure. On the other hand, there’s disdain for his upper-class background, so Sundowner does everything possible to drag Armstrong along through all the grime and blood. He’s aware the chain WILL choke him, it’s just a matter of when and how. Amass enough power and these two variables are his to curate. So, Armstrong has to pay the highest price for keeping someone like that in a submission. Aaand Sam’s unlucky enough to find himself in the middle. Destruction personified, he’s a tempting prize to claim, so Armstrong and Sundowner clash to win him over.
But my point is, they’re also so, so petty. Thousands of mild inconveniences cast onto each other. Never an open fight though! The amount of damage Desperado guys were ready to inflict upon World Marshall property is absurd. Sundowner telling Raiden to “go nuts”. But when it comes to the server room it’s a no-no, that’s his territory. Imagine if Raiden actually failed on his way up there? Yeah Steve we HAD to use rocket launchers inside. There was no other way. I need some dark comedy spin-off focused on these two so muchhh.. Just the right amount of desperation, power play and advanced animals having beef.

As always, here I am to wish you all a great new year!!
I'm not really in a festive mood this time, but I do wish you guys a good 2025, filled with nice memories and people you love. It's gonna be a tough year, but rememer to be tougher.
Also, I'm finally playing Metal Gear Rising again to actually finish it this time, and upon watching videos to recall the whole story, I found people talking about Raiden's character and one thing stood out to me, I felt like sharing.
The person said, it's like Raiden realizes at the middle of the game that the whole "I'm a hero and I use my sword for justice" thing doesn't work for him precisely because of the system he's fighting against. It's a system of violence breeding violence - and if he's not tougher than the ones he's fighting against, he will die. Hence why he goes full Reaper at a certain point.
Buuuuut here's the thing. What makes him different is that yes, he was molded by the system to be a killing machine who enforces his will upon others by being stronger - by literal force. But his heart, what he believes in, will shape how he will use all that violence and strength.
His wish for a better world for those he loves and for no one else to go through what he has been through will shape who he will use his force against. He won't use it upon the weak, but upon those delirious strong assholes who want to use their power to get rid of everyone else they don't like. *cough* Senator Armstrong *cough*
He's not exactly a textbook hero, he's pretty fucked up the poor guy, but he can choose how he'll use that awful thing the world gave him and how he was shaped to be.
What stood out about this for me is: sometimes we do want to sit on a moral high horse and say we won't get as low as our enemies and etc. But, sometimes, we have to take a stand and what is moral is more of a grey line than a black and white situation.
I'm not here inciting violence nor telling everyone to go full Ripper Mode and sucker punch the first one they disagree with. What I'm saying, though, is: if you find yourself in a situation where injustice is happening, don't stay around and get stuck in the morals of what will be your perfect reaction. By all means, use diplomacy and words first, but if that doesn't work, know that bigoted people won't be on the "high moral ground" and not resort to violence - and really, it's always right and morally correct to punch a nazi.
In 2025, be your best. Stay strong and be brave. Use your morals and use diplomacy to solve your issues. But if the situation calls for it, punch a nazi (figurativelly or literally). Sometimes that's the only way of making the world better for the ones to come.
I really do believe these people are only brave enough to be so vocal and powerful nowadays because they forgot what's like to be scared to defend their broken ideologies. It's time for THEM to remember to be scared of being jerks, not for US to be scared of being ourselves on the streets and living happy lives.
Also, I haven't played any other Metal Gear game before and haven't finished MGR even though I know the full plot, so I can't give a more fleshed out analysis of Mr. Lightning Bolt here and I may have gotten something wrong. This is just my view on it so far, Metal Gear fans please don't kill me.
Also, I'm that kind of girl to see him go full berserk and "call me Rose and take me to the stars, you gorgeous bastard".
So with this little message, I wish you all a great 2025. Stay safe, stay brave, love people and punch nazis, and everything will be alright 🖤

Over two years ago, I was inspired by @transhitman's personal Disco Elysium Skill project to make my own Disco Elysium Skills. Today, I am proud to present my own take on the idea, the Internal Family Skills, having finally gotten my brain in gear enough to finish it in a showable capacity. This isn't the final form of the project, but I'd need to learn CSS to make a full fake menu on my Neocities, and a new tablet to make the Skills as painterly as the game's art style (which I might not do, since this style is basically what the inside of my brain looks like).
We're starting off with the Manager (MGR) Attribute: Your capacity to present sufficient normalcy and interact with the people around you. Its six Skills are:
Bureaucracy
Disguise
Distress Tolerance
Hiya
Pakikiramdam
White-Passing
[ Firefighter | Exile | Self ]
Bureaucracy
Understand process and procedure. Pull on the levers available to the public.
COOL FOR: Pencil-Pushers, Concerned Citizens, The Maliciously Compliant
Bureaucracy is what humans use for detailed communication in place of emotional honesty. This is not, in fact, an imposition -- rather, it allows for smooth cooperation and organization at large scale without the superior's scorn or the inferior's resentment getting in the way. Your Bureaucracy skill familiarizes you with paperwork and precedent, assures that the powerful view you as properly compliant, extracts assistance from systems that don't care about you as a person, and teaches you how to work to rule.
At high levels, Bureaucracy lets you navigate hierarchies, provide and access information easily, and fill in gaps in existing procedure where there is none. It'll also make you a fussy, obstinate smartass who refuses to participate with anyone emotionally or act without structure. At low levels, however, you'll be adrift in a paper sea designed to silence, exhaust, and oppress you.
Disguise
Manipulate with masks. Fit yourself into palatable forms.
COOL FOR: Changeling Children, Sociopathic Butterflies, Emotional Laborers
Disguise wants you to know that if you can't be yourself, it's always okay to be someone else. As your handy-dandy superficial charm, Disguise feeds you the lines necessary for a given situation: Need to act mindful and demure at work when you're imagining gutting your manager like a fish? Disguise is already on it. Want to seem like a problem-solving super-genius when you're actually in the middle of cybersex? Disguise is running the social buffer. Trying to avoid telling the truth to your parents or scaring the hoes at the local queer scene? Got. You. Covered.
At high levels, Disguise makes you terrified of failing to live up to your image, to the extent that you'll partition off your life into different personas. You won't be tempted to become any of the masks, but by God will you not take any of them off. At low levels, though, you'll have to take all the lumps that come with never telling anybody what they want to hear.
Distress Tolerance
Endure immediate pain for long-term gain. Stay in the trap to remove the one who set it.
COOL FOR: Forward-thinkers, Sensitive Souls, Cluster Bs
Distress Tolerance is your lexicon of adaptive coping mechanisms. It snaps into action when the world is painful and unfair, identifying pain relief and things you can control. Distress Tolerance reminds you to go for a walk instead of lying in bed, to spend time with people you love instead of fighting online, and to box breathe instead of hiding in a cabinet and sobbing. It also helps you keep your goals in mind: the point of enduring the pain is to avoid hurting people and to have a better life in the future.
At high levels, Distress Tolerance makes you hyper-sane, and thus hypernormal. You'll fall victim to the seductions of personal responsibility, assuming that it's simply your duty to put up with the world's iniquities. Without it, though, you'll be a panicking woman-child ignorant of her own agency, unable to do anything about those iniquities but lash out at the people who love you.
Hiya
Feel shame yourself. Anticipate shame in others.
COOL FOR: Overton Glaziers, Panopticon Inhabitants, Human Dignity Enjoyers
Hiya isn't the cop inside your head, it's the patriarch -- instead of trying to shoot you when you've deviated from the accepted standards of behavior for a given community, it just makes you feel fundamentally unlikable and helpless. This isn't entirely a bad thing, since the accepted standards of behavior frequently involve putting others first so you don't make them feel fundamentally unlikable and helpless. That said, while Hiya teaches you that standards of behavior can change, the only tool it gives you to accomplish that is the cattle prod called "shame".
At high levels, Hiya makes you socially invulnerable -- because you don't do anything objectionable in the first place. Not only will you be self-sacrificingly afraid of being deemed deviant, you'll cringe and withdraw when others embarrass themselves regardless -- and you'll enforce shame yourself to make the cringing stop. Without it, though, you'll literally be walang hiya: a shameless, self-gratifying boob incapable of thinking about others' feelings.
Pakikiramdam
Understand that others’ needs are different. Find out what they are.
COOL FOR: Relationship-Builders, Active Listeners, Safety Tool Users
Pakikiramdam feels out everything that isn't explicitly said. It's a Skill of social moderation formed through trial and error -- knowing what will tickle someone's funny bone, whether acquiescence is hiding upset, and whether they see a given action as common courtesy or a true effort. Pakikiramdam creates models of others' internal states to better foster and maintain kapwa; to this end, it reminds you to check in, slow down, and look at the conversation from outside so you're on the same page about what's going on.
At high levels, Pakikiramdam will make you truly empathetic and understanding -- as long as people can stomach you being a busybody who demands adult communication and introspection about their wants at the drop of a hat. Too low, however, and you'll simply barge through situations assuming you already know what everyone wants, giving you no chance to build empathy in the first place.
White-Passing
Defend yourself and get away with it. Recognize and use what authority you have.
COOL FOR: Egotists, Dissatisfied Customers, Fifth Columnists
You are the phenotypical expression of a multigenerational effort to make you and your desires untouchable in any social situation. White-Passing measures your ability to live up to that standard: Can you talk over people in a meeting to make your point heard? Can you talk to a cop like he's a brave and dignified defender of your security? Can you justify the entire extractive supply chain in order to demand a better customer service experience?
At high levels, White-Passing will get you what you want, and getting what you want will reinforce the rightness of your power. Not only will this make you an entitled little martinet claiming power you lack, it'll chain you to the structures that have given you what power you have. But without it, you won't even be able to get past the cop in your own head, let alone the ones outside it, and you'll make a cult of your own disenfranchisement.
Notes:
Bureaucracy's ear-thingies are a reference to Intergalactic Advocate Bob from Jupiter Ascending.
The mask Disguise is wearing is based on Caves of Qud's gentling mask.
Thanks is due to Jeremiah Reyes' 2015 article "Loób and Kapwa: An Introduction to a Filipino Virtue Ethics", which was instrumental in me figuring out how exactly my lolo's ethics filtered through my dad to me, for good and for ill.

I recently started playing the Metal Gear Solid games at long last. Suffice to say I've absolutely fallen in love with their memorable characters, insane mechanical depth, and sprawling, strikingly political stories. And last week, after completing Metal Gear Solid 4, I dived directly into the spin off Metal Gear Rising...and it might be my second favourite game in the whole series behind 3? And I found myself needing to talk about it. This is one of the coolest games I’ve ever played. A non-stop balls to walls action thriller that is constantly one upping itself. Turns out Metal Gear’s mix of madness and political bite pairs amazingly with Platinum’s utter lack of subtlety.
I think one of the most pleasant surprises was the story, mostly that I was surprised how much it still felt like Metal Gear, rooted in much of the same thematic ground. It digs into the fallout of MGS4’s war economy and interrogates the inherent brutality of action games.
Raiden’s role in MGS4 was, fittingly, one of the most meta things in this game’s story. In MGS2, we watch him reckon with the fact that his life is filled with lies and manipulation. But the ending stressed that even surrounded by the Patriots’ misinformation, he could still make his own life, choose his own ending. At that point it was somewhat unclear if he and Rose would go on to try and make a normal life of things. If any genuine feelings had come out of those years of lies. Raiden in 4 feels like one of the most explicit examples of this game’s dual nature as the ultimate fan pleasing conclusion, but also as a meta point about this being an ending Hideo Kojima originally didn’t want to make.
To that end, Raiden is brought back, and he’s made a badass cyborgs ninja to counter the naysayers who thought he was lame the first time. But fulfilling that wish is done as monkey’s paw. By undoing his hopeful ending and putting him through absolute hell. Yes, he’s a cool ninja, but now he’s a broken man. His story wasn’t allowed to end. Raiden has always been a player surrogate, wanting to be like Snake, but never able to be. And while he’s been made progressively more ‘cool’ game after game to counter those who didn't like him in 2, it’s done by a very meta monkey’s paw of subjecting him to trauma after trauma. He's a character who never allowed to rest after the self definition he achieved in 2 and that's sort of become the tragedy of him.
Building on that, MGR makes Raiden the single most badass character in the Metal Gear canon, but forces him to accept that he, like Snake, is a relic of an old, violent system. And even if he fights for a better world, he can never really be part of it. He’s too entrenched in what came before. This game's Devil Trigger equivalent is explicitly Raiden sinking back into the darkest part of his childhood. It plays with the catharsis of character action games, by forcing Raiden, and the player to admit that there is a sick pleasure in exerting power. That it feels good to do this. He accepts the lesson drilled in since the very first game, that there are no heroes on the battlefield. But at the end of the day, even accepting that his role is not just, or glamorous, Raiden keeps fighting because his role is necessary. At the end of the day, he wants to protect the weak and his enemies want to privilege the strong. He will make himself a monster so no one else has to.
It’s also so loudly political. In keeping with 2’s predictions regarding the internet and 4’s statements about war’s connection with capitalism. All framed as an explicit critique of America’s post 9/11 military occupation and the false, jingoistic ideas of individualism that drove it. It makes for, fittingly, the single angriest Metal Gear game. As Jacob Geller perfectly put it, this is a game where a United States senator goes full mask off and tells you point blank he wants to tear down every American support system for the sake of deluded nationalistic fervour. He just comes out and says it.
And then you rip out his fucking heart.
Metal Gear Rising is an incredible game, because, for all its Platinum bombast, it's Metal Gear at some of its most Metal Gear. When I played Metal Gear Solid 4, I was especially struck by its ending. Big Boss dying and finally telling Snake to live for himself. To me, it felt like a meta statement of Kojima letting Metal Gear go. Not letting it die per se. But handing it over to other creatives, the way he wanted to since 2. Based on the existence of Peace Walker and 5, and Kojima's break from Konami...that didn't happen. But Rising feels like window into a post-MGS4 future that never existed. Where a strong creative vision gave Metal Gear a new lease of life beyond Kojima, that maintains its soul.

me to Heethan 😭😭😭
like fr tho i would laugh soooo damm loud if i someone ever told me „you belong to me“
Siiiis let me telllllll you!
(Some spoilers if you haven’t read all the series on my blog; ‘Mermaids Tale’, ‘Double Trouble’, ‘MGR/MRE/HHP’, ‘SE7EN’, and ‘The Otherside’. )
- heethan: if this mofo was real, he would be EXACTLY like how he is drafted in all the chapters. Your everyday life will change dramatically. If you’re working or going to school, he’d tell you to quit and stop so he can take care of you and keep you in a house or apartment or whatever 24/7 under his eye. If he’s going to school or work, he’d have your set up for success with everything you possibly need so you won’t go out, and ofc he’d have a solid locking and security system at the door where he can monitor through his phone to ensure you’re not trying to escape. Not to spoil HHP but man has connections and eyes everywhere….eveb if you did manage to leave, you ain’t going far. Plus he had your identification, your passports, and all of your debit/credit cards locked up. You’re stuck. Yes he’s one of those types but it’s all in the name of love (and obsession) for his y/n. He’s also protective asf so yeah….be ready to live the sheltered life with this man (but also spoiled and him living for your happiness.)
Heelel: oh my god….this devil. Listen, it’s bad enough to have a mortal man like heethan obsessed with you and using everything in his means to keep you, but to have heelel (the devil) to be in love and obsessed with you?…..there is nothing this man does not control. Heaven and earth, don’t matter. You have absolutely no chance…none. You reside in hell and under his watchful eye ALL THE TIME. Ofc he is beautiful, he is a fallen angel and was Gods favorite, he’s not going to appear as a little red man with horns and a tail. Naw. He’s dressed fashionably in those fine suits, wears those finger clawed jewelry cuffs, switched between ash blonde to black hair, and always has that damn smirk on his face with very dark eyes that will glow red when he gets…excited. He prefers you baked so he’ll keep you in subtle chains barely dressed in transparent sashes that don’t cover much and keeps you in that pedestal so he can admire you. Licks his lips, rocks your hips, and squeeze your tits. Treats you like a prisoner but also a queen, a goddess. You are above all things and you deserve everything to be at your disposal. You are his and only his, for eternity.
Heebros: oh man…if you find it hard to get into sharing yourself with two men…this will be a hard one for you to adjust. Imagine two beautiful men, twins, being obsessed and in love with you, shelter you away, and force their love onto you by making you take them…both at the same time. And these two love the thrill of taking you anywhere and anytime. Imagine you three going to a fancy dinner and Heejeong politely tells everyone at the table “please excuse us, y/n has to use the ladies room.” And Heeseung pulls out your chair and says “I’ll aid you in escorting her.” And they drag you out into Themis grand hall and take you into the elegant bathroom where they lock it and spend an hour or two standing with you in the center and one is hitting it (hard I might add) from the back, while the other is holding you steady and rocking your hips from the front. Your dress is falling off and is just a mess from all the juices splattering and coating your legs and pelvis. After they’re done, they don’t bother to continue on with dinner, they just take you and go back home where they can give you a nice sponge bath, lick you dry, and sandwich you in the center of the bed with them spooning you, front and back.
Heeler: lord….i can’t tell what would be more scary, belonging to heelel or this serial killer. He’s rich, has good connections to support his corrupted acts, and is so hirby just by the smell of you, the moment he touches or sees you, game over. And he’s so damn twisted and unhinged. Heelel is too, but he’s the devil and can have some level of composure bc he can contain himself as an immortal but heeler? I don’t know what it could possibly be like to have a serial killer obsessed with you and feeling the need to protect you at all times after rescuing you. At least your lifestyle wouldn’t be so bad, minus the fact that this delusional fella would take you against your will to “train” you do that someday you’ll willingly give yourself to him and learn to love him the way he loves you.
Heedam: I have a soft spot for heedam yall. This man is so classy and fine, his attitude and his charisma. He’s so smooth and bc of his DNA, man has skill and talent that makes him invincible. Used to be a part of the SWAT team, adapts to water, sings a tune and hypnotizes girls, CEO of a corporation and murdered a family member to save you…and he keeps you so close to him. He sings to you all the time, and makes you sing to him. With you both having the bloodline of Poseidon and he having the line of Alexander the Great, you both are a perfect match for each other. And ofc he is going to make you bear him sobs to continue the bloodline. It’s only a matter of time. “Can you hear the ocean baby?”

OK I FINALLY GOT TIME SO this is probably gonna be a series of asks if Tumblr decides to limit my characters (i dont feel comfy coming off anon in the tt community sorry)
First we gotta talk about the Cogs since all of the gag/reward stuff is gonna have to be based on them
.Exes and .Mgrs were a very welcome change. .Exes instantly give every battle some variety in requiring you to think to take them down instead of memorizing a chart of which combos wipe a group (fuck Zap Camp too btw), and .mgrs were a much needed shakeup, away from the 4 main bosses which got repetitive as hell, that allow just about all the gags and prestiges to shine in some way
Skelecogs and Virtuals in the same way as .exes force you to be on your toes thanks to the varied hp and debuff resistance, virtuals in particular being a good choice for the OCLO, sorry v2.0s but you're boring
Cogs do more damage in general, which emphasizes either taking them all out or stunning them, and Content Sync definitely helps with that. Even with how controversial it was at the start, it was a good choice
Cogs have proper scaling AND HAVE LEVELS HIGHER THAN 12 FINALLY TTR WAS SO BAD AT THIS AND THEY DONT EVEN LET YOU SEE THE NUMBERS WHY TTR MUST YOU BE LIKE THIS
Ok now onto the gags:
But before each one, even more TTR ranting:
WHY CAN'T YOU CHANGE GAGS TTR
ORGANICS ARE SO BAD, PRESTIGES ARE SO MUCH MORE INTERESTING, FUCK GARDENING ALL MY HOMIES HATE GARDENING
Level 7s, while I miss Railroad my beloved, were really badly done and limited where the game could go
LURE COMBO BONUS SUCKS DIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII-
Ahem.
Toon-Up: As stated, Cogs deal much more damage, so TU has much more use, especially in .mgrs. The self heal was also something that shouldve been in the game forever ago, and not just relegated to a prestige. At least the Prestige makes you heal even more now. However, TU MISSING was a shit idea on TTO's part because it was the only way they could get Toons to go sad in the sound spammy lure left kill right meta if everything missed. Now you might be forced to take damage, so your cannon missing would be a death sentence. Thank god they removed that early on in 1.3. also the accuracy buff is AN INTENDED MECHANIC THANK GOD
Trap: Trap FINALLY HAS USE CASES OUTSIDE OF LIKE LAWFICES. First off, it's an .exe killer. The hard counter to them. Bye bye mr .exe. And then Clash gave it Dazed, which made Trap/Drop an intended strat too. But also it's just BIG NUMBER. The Prestige is EVEN BIGGER NUMBER. This means you can oneshot even really big Cogs with like a prestige trapdoor where TTR wouldve needed an organic (also bad) TNT
Lure: Yeah Lure Decay was bad but they learned in 1.3, and instead we have a much better system with the per-gag knockback, which lets you deal even more damage with each throw or squirt gag you use, where instead of a hypno doing the same 50% total base damage as a $10 bill, $10 bills do more damage than hypnos. I legit almost stopped carrying 10 bills in clash entirely and went with like 15 magnets instead UNTIL they changed it like that. Also, using a Group Lure with a Single Lure actually synergizes well, especially with Throw setups in like OCLO, since the damage values vary, you can lure and IOU (more on that later) both, with your main target getting a 50 bill, before nuking them with 4 throws, for at least 400 extra damage (460 with prestige!), ON TOP OF THE ADDED COMBO DAMAGE SINCE LURE KNOCKBACK COUNTS FOR IT NOW BY THE WAY. In comparison to TTR which actually nerfed the most useless Organic. And again, I must stress this: LURE BONUS SUCKS DIIIIIIIIIII-
Throw: I'll admit, when I saw it in the QA patch notes, I was hesitant to say the least, but THROW SWAPPING WITH SOUND CHANGES SO MUCH. First off, NO MORE "you lure and throw, ill wedding *uses bike horn*" GREENING. Second: THROW IS JUST SO GOOD AS A DAMAGE DEALER. Combined with the lure changes above, you can deal insane damage to .mgrs with it and Lure. You could probably do an entire Litigation Team with just Lure TU and Throw if you wanted. But it doesn't stop there. Something i neglected to mention is how ALMOST EVERY GAG HAS A UTILITY ATTACHED TO IT. Throw's is a 10% damage vulnerability, and it allows you to do so much. Fun fact tho, it used to have that damage vulnerability as a Prestige, and it scaled with each throw used, but only for 1 turn, and this was when throw was second to last, so it was only really useful for Drop. Now only one person needs to use it and it affects EVERYTHING past it. Got a higher level cog in the mix with some easily soundable ones? Just hit it with a cream, and now it takes even more damage! Just soaked and trapped a .mgr for the accuracy boosts on drop? Add one more debuff to boost Prestige Drop even more (with a free stun!)! AND THEN you add the cherry on top of the Wedding Cake, the self heal prestige. This was absolutely a welcome change, taking some of the heat off of TU and unites as your only healing, to the point that I'd say you should always have your Throw Prestiged. My only complaint is that Toons should take a bite out of it and say "Om nom nom" to heal before throwing it if it's prestige.
Squirt: Squirt in TTR, Throw's crappier brother. Squirt in Clash? Oh man. I'll go more into it in Zap's section, but Zap alone gives Squirt so much use. On its own though, it's still very good. Soaking is good as a dodge debuff, setting up for quick drops on Cogs. But the SINGLE change that made Squirt so good is Splash Damage. Before 1.3, Squirt soaking multiple Cogs was stuck behind a Prestige, so you were basically forced to either run Pres Squirt or don't run it at all. Now, however, not only can you soak multiple Cogs, but it deals free, non-unluring damage to the Cogs on the sides! You can effectively just chip away at a lured Cog until you're ready to take it down, which like the Throw/Sound example above, allows you to lower the Cogs to juuuust enough in just the right way to where a specific Sound threshold kills. Unfortunately, Prestige Squirt kinda gets the short end of the stick, since unless you're running a solo building, you kinda don't need it for most situations. idk what they could do to fix that tho, it's still fine on its own, just usually overkill.
Zap: And now, the thing that singlehandedly both gave Squirt a purpose and alienated a ton of TTR elitists for the better or worse. Before 1.3, Zap was fuckin weird. Zap could change direction, but only if it was prestiged, jump over other cogs including dead ones, there was no jump pool, just a specific set of 3 decreasing numbers correlating to the order it jumped to, which led to charts getting made for specific groups- it was a lot to take in. Those who were able to master it were REALLY GOOD at taking down groups, but were also pretty toxic usually (hence the "fuck Zap Camp" comment earlier). Also, it was the same as Squirt: either run it prestiged or not at all, which fed into the toxicity even more. Now though? It's pretty good. It can be a few different things, a decent AoE on 3 Cogs with lower damage on 2 of them, high damage on 2 Cogs, with some thought into aiming based on prestiges (for unprestige, aim directly at the target, for prestige, aim at the opposite target for more damage), or a kill confirm on an already soaked Cog. It's way more user friendly now, and I will say seeing Zap Camp's charts be completely ruined gave me a little schadenfreude. Sorry, this was a little community ranty, I again have bad experiences with some of the older members.
Sound: SOUND IS NO LONGER META. I REPEAT, SOUND IS NO LONGER META. This comes down to Squirt/Zap being good AoE, as well as 2 more changes to Sound itself: 1. Sound swapped with Throw in the gag order (from 1.2 and back, not tto), and 2. Encore and Winded. First, the swap makes it to where if you're using Sound on Lured Cogs, it's less likely to troll, but for a specific reason. And even if it is to troll, there's ways to get around it better, since Throw and Squirt won't be affected now. And then we have Encore and Winded, two sides of the same coin. It's great to use your Encore bonus to deal tons of damage to a single Cog, but you could always risk being winded to take out an even bigger group now at the expense of having to wait to use sound again. This alternating pattern of Sound into anything else, along with the fact that Sound can't just wipe out everything in the game now makes sure Sound isn't necessary to beat most things. It's still kinda meta for Buildings and Facilities, but those are kinda harder to fix. Oh, also the prestige is the same as Trap, bigger number is better.
Drop: Oh boy, another gag with a tumultuous history. I'll go over this in the IOU section (yes im doing rewards), but to be Barry Brief, in the early days of Clash, Drop had a bug that made it do AoE damage, which some toxic players abused to hell and back, cramming Drop into the top spot of gags, before being squashed in the 1.2 OCLO update. As for Drop now, it's a really nice damage dealer. Not so much for normal bosses, where it's typically just a finisher for a big Cog, but for .mgrs it can be devastating given enough setup. Trap, Lure, Squirt, and either TU for accuracy or IOU for damage, then Throw and 3 Drop. Now, if you were running Unprestige Drop, it would only get a slight boost thanks to Throw, and the other gags the turn before were just to make sure it hit. But slap a Prestige on, and a single debuff adds 10% damage, with an extra 5% for each additional debuff, with Throw's vulnerability counting as a debuff, which STACKS with the Prestige boost, so those two turns just got you an additional 20%, on top of what Throw adds on the pile. And then consider Drop has a 30% combo multiplier instead of the usual 20% combo damage, and .mgrs start dying quickly. Most .mgr fights I do, I run Prestige Drop.
And now, onto the rewards.
IOUs: So before 1.3, we still had SOS cards, but these were the trickiest reward to balance, even more than Unites. On the underpowered side, we had the 1.2 SOS: a percentage increase for 2 TURNS. PERIOD. Wanted to setup for Drop? You better do it quick, because if Drop misses on that second turn youre SoL. Not that it'd matter because for a lot of gags it did jack. But then we have the other, darker side. The ORIGINAL SOS CARDS. If you played TTO or TTR, you already know how busted those things were. But do you remember that bug I mentioned making Drop an AoE gag? This is where it originated. SOS Cards inherited the Combo damage dealt to a single Cog and gave it to the rest of the Cogs as well, so you could potentially deal a ton of damage to multiple Cogs just by nuking one with Combo damage and using an SOS to spread it out. Do you remember Rain, that random IOU you get guaranteed in the VP that gives you and a friend a +15 damage boost on your next turn? Yeah they used to be a simple 20 damage Drop SOS you could get (and farm) from Derrick Man. You know, in TTC. Who at the time had only 63 HP, enough for an Opera pre-1.3 to kill in one hit. All that's left is an incentive to use Drop en masse... Oh? Old Drop had increasing Combo damage for every Drop gag used, up to 50%? And every Prestige Drop used added an additional 5% Combo damage, up to 70% with 4 Prestige Drops, or 65% with one person using an SOS? You can probably see where this is going. The only thing holding it back was the fact that it wasnt guaranteed to hit- OH WAIT TOONS HIT EXISTS IN ITS ORIGINAL FORM STILL. It was bad. Like "anyone who deviates from the Meta is bad" bad. I was one such very vocal dissenter of Team Drop, advocating that Throw was a good gag, and I got shit on hard for it, to the point where the people who still had a grudge long after fabricated false accusations and threw me out. Ugh this got too personal, sorry. Where were we? Oh yeah, IOUs! They're pretty good now! The fact that they use flat numbers and last a set amount of GAGS used means that setups are easier than ever, and even if you miss, you can still use it again with the boost! They're good for pumping out big numbers! They also affect things like Throw self heal and Splash Damage, so keep those in mind too! I personally like using a Sid Sonata after firing the first Cog after feeding round in CEOs to save on operas.
Unites: I have mixed feelings on how Unites were handled, but I'll save that for the Forges section. As for Toon-Up Unites in their current state, they're pretty good! The Cooldown is honestly a needed nerf (so much so that TTR has it now lmao), and the fact it's percentage based means the heals are more fair! (though if someone is really underlaffed for a fight, they might still get squashed even with a unite). Pretty gud!
Forges: Rest in Peace, Gag-Up Unites. You were so slept on. Forges are the worse version of Gag-Up Unites. Instead of everyone getting their gags restocked, even by a little at the expense of you specifically getting a decently sized cooldown, you can only restock a single gag at a time, and if that gag is too high, you get put on cooldown. Why. In a vacuum, they're ok, but it just feels wrong. They could have left Gag-Up Alls in the pool and kept them how they were with only level 7s or lower, but no, ALL GAG-UP UNITES MUST GO apparently.
Sues: honestly better than fires, imo. Let me explain. Both Sues and fires remove a Cog from the fight. "But wait!" You say. "Sues dont remove a cog from the fight, they just make a Cog not attack!" In theory, yes, that's all they do. But because they don't attack, they're basically out of the fight. However, they aren't OUT of the fight, meaning they take up a slot. And because they take up a slot, that means you can just ignore it and focus on the other 3 that are there. And guess which gags work very well with 3 Cogs instead of 4. Just remember to give them a tap every now and then and they won't ever bother you. Also iirc theyre meta to deal with oclo phase 1 lmao. However some fights don't let you use them as much, so be careful.
Fires: Despite what I just said, Fires are still really good. It's just their uses are more limited. The main examples I can think of are the first Cog after feeding round in CEO, as stated earlier, the Featherbedder fight, and Major Player's Dance Partners. Killing a Cog instantly is still killing a Cog instantly, after all.
WHEW that was a long one, sorry for the personal bits, I just wanted to share my thoughts on Clash's balance for a long time, and I'm glad I finally got to do so. Clash is in a much better state than it's ever been, and I can't wait to see how things are shaken up later.
Oh, one more thing.
LURE BONUS SUCKS DIIIIIIII- *gets sniped by TTR staff*
Tumblr media
That's a whole novel in my inbox holy FUCK
This is a lot to take in and I love it, some gags and rewards just used to be broken like woah?? It's nice to see how much progress Corporate Clash has really went through all these years to balance the game out to become as fun and good as it is today
I was curious about those Gag-Ups after seeing them from a Multislacker fight stream just a year ago because I didn't know they were still around at 1.3, too bad they don't exist anymore 'cause they would be very useful in longer fights such as with Pace (round wise) and Chip. Maybe there's a good reason for the removal balance wise... hopefully
The SOS cards was something I was wondering about too after hearing someone say a long while ago that they wished those were still around, based on this I can see why they were removed though
Also I don't mind the personal tangents at all, I love hearing about the details of personal experiences and opinions as it puts it on perspective on how things were back then as well as adding to my own knowledge of it. Thank you for the very long info dump :]

@bears-in-the-city Sorry for replying to this post like this but boy what I don’t like about the reply function of tumblr is that every response is out of order and it’s so confusing after a while 😵‍💫
Anyway — yes, I do. It’s been almost a year since I wrote this essay and since then I have learned even more about Raiden as a character but also DID on its own. I got my hands on the Japanese version of MGR a while ago and finished playing it recently, making lots of observations that are more consistent in the Japanese dub compared to the English one (I got… some issues with the English dub of MGR and Raiden’s English VA across games in general), which supports my theory that he might be a DID system. :]
But I think I may connect an updated version with the other essay on him very likely having ASPD as well, because these things go hand in hand. So to say, an overall look into Raiden’s psyche.

ID. photo of a whiteboard with bullet points written on it, titled "Stocking Reminders."
Top stock goes in the same 4' section as the stock.
Each SKU's overstock should be all in one spot. (below this point there is a diagram of a shelf with colorcoded boxes, one mixed up and one with the colors together)
Don't overfill hooks/shelves. There should be one straight line of product! If it won't hang nicely that is too much.
End ID.
end of my fucking rope tuesday. this won't stop my coworkers because they can't read but the amount of topstock i found in fucking random aisles today was truly absurd. like we've graduated from putting it in the same aisle 16ft away on the opposite side (annoying but at least line of sight) to putting it in topstock in its unlabeled cardboard shipping box, three aisles away, in a different department.
other highlights of today:
i asked this kid to downstock One Aisle and he spent 3(?) hours standing over there doing, as far as i can tell, nothing. which dgmw i can respect. minimum wage => minimum effort but my man that wasn't even CLOSE to the minimum and you are actively making everyone else's lives more difficult!!!
hardware mgr tried to have someone else (the aforementioned kid who can't even put stock in the right spot!!!) do counts on stock, BEHIND MY BACK, AGAIN. so i started off the day with an argument with him. bc if im not shooting outs regularly enough for you fucking TALK TO ME. and i will tell you what i need, which is you to do your fucking JOB and MANAGE YOUR PEOPLE. and get on their asses to actually maintain their sections!!! i could do the whole fucking store in an hour if literally anyone else did their jobs!!!
got a new rope assortment in from a new vendor, hardware mgr packed up the old stuff for buyback but ALSO managed to pack up a bunch of the NEW stuff with it despite the packaging being a completely different color AND saying the new brand name, so i had to go digging in 15 different taped-shut boxes to find it back.
just some truly atrocious and annoying customers. girl if youre in a hurry that is YOUR problem for not planning. i cant read your mind and i cant give you an answer if you cant explain your problem to me.
got called "ladies" collectively about 8 times today by my coworker who a) does ABA as his other job b) asked me if ozzy was my "real name" and c) said he used to be a liberal but he thinks there are more important things than peoples' identities. we're mostly copacetic now though bc he sees how much work i do and also we've commiserated about the state of the educational system & when he was talking about how "boys and girls learn differently" i very lightly floated the "well, i don't think that's inherent necessarily, you know, like we're raised and taught certain ways to be from SUCH a young age, and kids pick up on stuff pretty fast," and he was like huh ive never thought about that. ill have to think about that. so not unsalvageable! just a particular Kind Of Guy.
they're doing work on the roof and they fucking broke the ancient drainpipe that runs through our upstairs backstock area, so theres like three totes worth of roof-water-soaked merchandise that i have to take out of inventory tomorrow. and everything else in that backstock area has a fine coating of rust flakes from the disintegrating ceiling. and i was paged up there to help sort thru the stock and like. there are THREE PEOPLE here today who actually have a manager title, which I DONT!!! so why cant the three of you take care of it!!! and i KNOW its bc im good at problem-solving and don't really say no and would do it faster than anyone else but god. come on. its putting wet stock in totes.
also in the last 30 min of my shift (in the hardware dept!!! doing inventory counts!!!) my coworker walkied Me, Specifically, even though i knowww they were fully staffed in cashiers and housewares today, to pick up a call from a specific problem customer ABOUT A HOUSEWARES PRODUCT. bro i know FULL WELL you are doing fucking nothing but online shopping on the work computer, you fucking handle it!!! im on a DIFFERENT FLOOR and im busy doing other shit!!!
and its only tuesday!!! yippee!!!

Conscious Parenting is AoL Mindfulness Training Book 5, a mindful living course designed for parents. This 12 modules personal development course is designed for parents. Using self-development techniques to support “positive parenting”, the ultimate goal is the physical, mental and emotional health of the whole family. Within parenting, the goal is to promote: an unobstructed learning from nature and freedom in the learning environment. Conscious living, through adopting a sustainable life-style, empowers eco-living, art, music, social bonding, the mind training with practices of mindfulness for kids and parents, developing emotional intelligence, creative thinking, and offering alternatives for modern technology. “Knowing that every woman and man is a star is one thing, walking the path while giving the individuals empowerment to act, within this matrix of choices, is something totally different. If we are not ready for the Cosmos manifesting in all its forms within our little ones, including rebellion, we will subdue his or her life-force.” Inspired by Waldorf educational model, and Finland educational system, with personal-development tools to look into parenting goals, dreams and priorities. In 2018 the book was voted as one of 5 of the best Personal Development Courses for kids and parents and had been on a number of Goodreads users’ lists for the Best Books for Parents. The book excerpts were published in the Sunday Times of Malta as Alternative Education Articles, and the Wikihow views hit the 900,000 views. As a Conscious Parent we acknowledge that "every child is an individual with a different growth rate and a potential that is varied and vast. Respecting the needs of these beautiful souls, listening to their unique voices, hearing their wants will assure them that no matter how tiny they are somebody will kneel down to Listen. Respecting the potential that is hidden within each child, we respect their potential to become Kings of their Trade, or Saviours of the World to come." Nataša Pantović, Conscious Parenting Course Ivana Milosavljevic, Mgr. Education Special Needs Message from Ivana the Conscious Parenting Consultant involved in the building of creativity and mindfulness exercises. 'Dear Parents, this book works with some essential parenting questions:
Is there such a thing as an ideal parent and an ideal growing environment
What is it that our little ones need to grow into happy, independent and fulfilled human beings
How to understand the needs of these gentle and pure souls
The Conscious Parenting Course was born out of these Magic Questions answering the secrets of how to travel within this most difficult journey. 'It is possible to get it RIGHT if we stick to the very basic principle of Self-Development and Spiritual Growth: encouraging within our children a strong capacity for feeling, rich soul experiences, with a capacity for strong mental growth and a potential for strong willpower.' But we can not do it alone. I keep saying to my kids: Please help me become a better and more loving parent! The course utilizes a variety of tools: mindfulness exercises, personality questionnaires, setting true personal goals, inner exploration through writing and drawing, creativity exercises, etc. With applied psychology exercises from both East and West philosophical schools, the course explores exercises to improve behavior patterns, understand the dynamics of subconscious mind and conscious thoughts, explores emotions, training mind powers through mindfulness and the willpower exercises, looking into goals, dreams, and building the personal development plans.
