Their first kiss was the one that made Sebastian realised that he was in love with Michael. He hadn't it; the kiss or his feelings. Daniel had invited them all over for a Christmas party, wanting to show off the apartment he and Lando had just moved into. Sebastian had dusted off his ugliest Christmas sweater, a requirment for the party according to Daniel, and he had brought some homemade cookies. The party had been great. It was filled with cheesy Christmas music, friends in ugly jumpers, and weirdly Christmas themed alcohol. Sebastian was mostly hiding with Kimi. He had, of course, noticed Michael when he had come in, and he had talked to him, but Sebastian had never let himself feel what he truly felt for Micheal. Not until they were caught under the mistletoe that Lando had hung in the doorway to their kitchen, and Michael had looked at him with those big brown eyes. Their friends had cheered and egged them on, and Sebastian had been the one to stand on tiptoes and kiss Michael softly. A small little chaste kiss, but it had left Sebastian wanting more when they had parted with faint blushes on their cheeks.

They had parted ways that night with stolen glances but not another word had been said between them until Michael had shown up at his door with flowers and a grin. And now, now Sebastian was watching as Michael chased their daughter around the garden along with Daniel and Lando's son. Their laughter filling the air, and on Sebastian's finger sat a gold ring. A simple promise of an eternity together.

So this is something that’s bothered me for years but I never said anything. I can’t stand people who write fanfiction with an original character as the main character but tag as x reader. Like giving your character a name AND physical description is not a reader insert story. I understand the gender specific/neutral tags or intending your character to be a specific race or size but there does come a point where isn’t no longer a reader insert and it’s just a regular OC.

I wanna believe that a lot of people don’t understand the tag but as fanfiction writers I know that’s not the case. A lot of people do it to get more views for their story which is so dumb to me. Either write an actual reader insert or add the proper tags. It’s not that fucking hard.

Also I purposefully tagged reader insert tags I’m into to see if others have this same issue and what they think. I can’t be the only one annoyed but I’m cool either way.

Who hogs the duvet:

Surprisingly, Michael hogs the covers but only when it's really cold out, so Seb normally keeps another light comfter/blanket near the bed because he finds blanket hog Michael cute and doesn't want t disturb him by peeling him out of it

Who texts/rings to check how their day is going:

Michael texts more because Seb doesn't like spending more time on his phone then he has to. Seb will call Michael if they're in different counteries, but usually it's Michael texting Seb to ask things like "do we need milk?"

Who’s the most creative when it comes to gifts:

Seb is! Seb goes between finding the perfect gift, and making sentimental gifts. He puts a lot of thought and effort in getting Michael things that he would love

Who gets up first in the morning:

Both of them get up early. Michael because he likes to start the day with a work out, and Seb because he likes to check on the animals before he starts his day (they have a few chickens and goats)

Who suggests new things in bed:

They both do, but Seb does so more often. Michael tends to think about it and talk himself out of asking to try things in bed, but Seb works on him being open with what he wants

Who cries at movies:

Depends on the movie, but Seb. Michael finds it sweet how empathetic Seb is. Seb is also the guy how cries at videos of owners being reunited with pets

Who gives unprompted massages:

Michael because Seb is a stubborn little shit and won't tell Michael when his back or shoulders are at him. So Michael starts to pay more attention to how Seb moves so when he's in pain, he can give him massages before bed

Who fusses over the other when they’re sick:

They both do because they both worry so much. Seb's fussing comes in the form of lots of soups and good homemade meals, while Michael's is all about vitamins and which meds Seb should be taking

Who gets jealous easiest:

Michael, especially when Seb was still on the grid and Jenson was around. Sometimes with Lewis too, Sometimes Seb flirts with them a little when he wants Michael to be a little mandhandly that night

Who has the most embarrassing taste in music:

Michael because of years of friendship with Daniel and because of years of working in PT. Michael's workout mixes and various playlists constantly baffle Seb who likes his classic rock and things like Coldplay

Who collects something unusual:

Seb does. He started collecting things as a kid, and continues it into adulthood. It used to be things like shells or an interesting rock from different tracks or beaches. Later its things like pressed flowers or little trinkets, magnets for their fridge, keychains.

Who takes the longest to get ready:

Michael because Seb will literally roll out of bed, run fingers through his hair, throw on something without much thought and be ready for the day whereas Michael spends more time doing his hair and choosing his clothes.

Who is the most tidy and organised:

Seb is. He likes things to be clean and tidy whereas Michael, who likes things tidy, is a bit more lax and will leave socks all over the bedroom and bathroom

Who gets most excited about the holidays:

Normally Seb because it meant a break from racing and time to recharge and see family. After he retires, it's Michael that's a bit more excited and into the holidays and organising splitting time between their home and visiting/hosting family

Who is the big spoon/little spoon:

Seb is normally the little spoon because Michael loves cuddling him and having him tucked in his arms, but sometimes, Seb is the big spoon when Michael needs to be held

Who gets most competitive when playing games and/or sports:

Seb. Michael is competitive but Seb is a whole other level and it's onyl when he's absolutely decimated during a game of Monopoly by his partner that he realises just how far Seb will go to win (Seb almost ends up on the couch that night and they ban monopoly from their home)

Who starts the most arguments:

Hmmm, neither of them really start arguments? They normally go to each other if they have any issues and try talk them out. It's very rare that they actually have fights because Seb made it clear that communication is key to them surviving and that any issues, no matter how small, should be talked about so they could work together on solutions

Who suggests that they buy a pet:

Seb because he's slowly trying to turn their home into a mini-farm, and he also knows that Michael loves dogs so he's the one to suggest they go look at some local shelters adoption event "just because"

What couple traditions they have:

Michael makes Seb coffee every morning. Every sunday Seb makes them pancakes and waffles for brunch after they have a lie in. Every year on their anniversary they go to the place they went on their first date. They never leave the house without a goodbye kiss even if it's just Seb going into the backgarden to tend to things.

What tv shows they watch together:

They watch most things together except for things like Seb's baking shows and Michael's competion/survial shows

What other couple they hang out with:

Definetly Kimi and his wife. They hang out with them at each other's places. Maybe Daniel and whoever he is dating.

How they spend time together as a couple:

They make dinner together a lot, trying new recipes. They go on walks, hikes and bike rides. They spend time together doing their own things (Seb reading with his feet in Micheal's lap while Michael replies to emails). They go on dates at least once a week whether it's going out or staying at home.

Who made the first move:

Michael did when slightly tipsy at an after party and because he finally worked up the courage, and Seb thought it was cute

Who brings flowers home:

Seb brings flowers home the most. Mainly for their garden, and often for Michael, but Michael has a habit of stopping and getting flowers to bring home to Seb whenever he's been away for a few days

Who is the best cook:

Michael claim it's him, but it's Seb. The kitchen is Seb's domain and unless they're cooking together, it's mostly Seb making their food or batch cooking for them cause he enjoys it
