Michael was laughing as he watched Sebastian chase birds around the large back garden of the house the pack were staying in for another few days. Max was helping him, the two wolves tripping over each other, letting out little howls and huffs as they wrestled occasionally.

It was good to see after everything that had happened the last few weeks, and Michael knew that Sebastian needed this.

His boyfriend had spent so long at his side, and denied his wolf the change it had desperately needed due to the stress of watching Michael in pain. He'd become restless, and clingy, and Michael had had to promise him he'd stay with in eyesight to even get him to agree to shift for a while.

"He looks happy", Kimi spoke softly, standing behind Michael with a a coffee in each hand. He placed one on the the little outdoor table near where Michael say on the steps of the back porch and sipped at the other, "Feeling stronger today?"

Michael leaned in to the others touch when after he nodded, Kimi rubbed his wrist on his cheek softly in a familiar little claim before ruffling Michael's hair.

He knew there were things they needed to do. There was someone missing, and it was killing the pack but Michael hadn't been well enough to travel until maybe today.

He opened his mouth to speak, but anything he could say was cut off by an u impressed huff and then he had an arm full of wolf Sebastian. The other growling softly, playfully as he used his muzzle to get Kimi’s hand away from Michael before licking at Michael's cheek and throat.

"You're even more obnoxious in wolf form, Sebby", Kimi laughed, reaching out to scratch behind Sebastians little wonky ear thay Michael adored, "He's all yours, we know"

Sebastian let out a please sounding yip at that but didn't move. He sat between Michael's legs, pressed into his chest and rested his head on Michael's shoulder so he could make sure no one was approaching Michael from behind. Always watching his back, and trusting Michael with his.

Michael just smiled and wrapped his arms around him because he got it.

They had almost lost this, and Michael didn't blame Sebastian for being a little overprotective and clingy.

Not when he got to hold him like this.

every so often i think about sebastian vettel going from the most hated driver -by the fans- to a driver who got such a massive goodbye, unseen to any other driver retirement in the modern era. the thousands of dedications from thousands of different media, the journalists speaking of his kindness, the mechanics talking about his dedication and his love to the sport, the teams talking about the end of the year gifts he'd made for all of them, without fault, otmar szafnauer and the bread seb made for him the first time they met. people like ruth buscombe who spoke about him in the highest terms (my f1 bradley cooper!), fernando alonso that was arguably the one with the most rights to feel wronged by seb (won everything in the years he was trying to win with ferrari) dedicated an entire helmet to him, pierre gasly, charles leclerc and carlos sainz spoke about him leaving such a mark in their personal careers even when they weren't in f1, pierre and the extremely long talk on the phone, carlos and his mark in milton keynes, charles and the letter for his simulator work in 2017, the shirts for their little track run in abu dhabi, the speeches and the memorabilia red bull and ferrari gave him, lewis hamilton refusing to accept he's leaving, talking about seb making him feel a little less lonely in f1, the way most fans keep bringing seb sings to suzuka and singapore, the excitement whenever he does the smallest thing that may indicate a return to f1. i think no other driver has been so loved in their farewell as seb was, i don't think any other driver will be as missed as he is.

Ooof, this is a hard one to write for cause of the song but here we go! I think I managed to twist it into something good!

Michael was watching Sebastian with concerned eyes. It was how he always looked at Sebastian now, and Sebastian hated it as much as he loved it. He knew the concern was there because Michael loved him. He didn't doubt that for a second.

Especially now as they sat in Sebastian's car outside of Mark Webber's house, just watching as his affair partner left the house.

"I know he did it, Michael", Sebastian whispered, hands tightening around the steering wheel, "I know he murdered Jenson. He told me Mark was cheating and that he was going to confront him, and then Jenson just disappears? I know it. I can feel it"

Sebastian had waited hours that night for their usual dinner after work. Their once a week catch up, but Jenson had never showed. He hadn't answered his phone in over twenty-four hours, and Sebastian had known something was wrong before he had gotten the call that Jenson was missing.

It hadn't taken long for him to figure out it was Mark.

Despite the others tears and the way he performed grieving to the police, Sebastian knew. He had seen the new tyres on Mark's car, and the way he smirked when no one was looking. He hadn't been surprised when Mark moved Fernando, his ex, back into the house only four weeks after Jenson went missing. He had enough common sense to know that Mark had killed Jenson and he was going to get away with it because they'd never find enough evidence.

So Sebastian had settled on revenge.

He just hadn't expected his own fiancee to figure out what he was planning and agree to help him.

"You don't have to be a part of this", Sebastian whispered as he prepared to get out of the car and do what needed to be done.

"Yeah, yeah I do, Sebby. He's already taken Jenson from us", Michael replied, hand taking Sebastian's in his and squeezing, "I'm not letting him take you too"

The words choked Sebastian a little as he leaned across to kiss Michael softly.

"I love you"

"I love you too, Sebby"

What people don’t understand is that the reason we hate RBR/Max’s dominance so much compared to other eras is that everything just feels so clinical and passionless and empty.

The current world champion doesn’t feel a single thing as he wins race after race and it’s so fucking frustrating because if he doesn’t care then why should we?

Schumacher lived and breathed this sport, Vettel would have married his car if it was legal, Hamilton felt every win like it was his first. And now the only emotion this fucking guy has is indifference, to the point where I honestly believe he’d rather be playing a video game than actually racing and it’s just depressing.
