Mazeka, Nuju and Ehrye. I know Mazeka never was on Mata Nui. The idea is that The Order send him to secretly check on the Metru Nui Matoran on Mata Nui. He was spotted when he got grabbed by Nui-Rama. He kills it, and falls straight into Ko-Koro.

Iruini, Dume and Norik.

Dalu, Jovan and Velika.

I like both interpretations of Midak:

- An av-matoran disguised as an onu-matoran, so that there’s more than one example (Takua) of a displaced av-matoran and how they’ve been acclimating (or not) to a culture they don’t quite fit in.

AND

- An onu-matoran who happens to like sun light and prefers being above ground, showing the diversity of personalities among the onu-matoran.

How did one c-tier Makuta end up getting capturing and brainwashing takanuvas down to a science?

The only thing I can think if is presenting some kind of obviously-booby-trapped-do-not-touch button/lever and Takua, the seven foot glitterbomb we all know and love, just. Presses it every time to see if it really does that.

Also what was his plan if he walks into a universe and somebody else was the toa of light?

Oh hey look, it's a thing I started working on in August and only just finished now. Took me like, 10 minutes.

Anyway, I was inspired by those new canon Le-Matoran we got for 810, so I thought I'd go ahead and fill in some more gaps. Allow me to present the post-Rebuilding looks of Midak, as well as Podu and the Vuata Maca tree wizard from Quest for the Toa, along with a recolour of Kopeke in his proper dark gray instead of the erroneous light gray he appears with in MNOGII. The colour manips aren't perfect, but I'm pretty happy with them overall.

I also threw in 03 versions of Kopeke, Taipu, and Hafu with their 01 colours and Kanohi, just for fun and in case anyone wanted to see it.

Okay but hear me out-

so what kind of projectile drop do we think the various long range weapons have? My gut tells me the 'blasters', (cordak blasters, midak skyblasters, ninrah ghostblasters) are more like firearms, with decent range and minimal bullet drop, while 'launchers' (Zamora sphere launchers, thornax launchers) have less range and more of an arc to them. Disk launchers obviously launch frisbee like projectiles which seems to be somewhat self propelled? Rhotuka spinners definitely have the best range of them all irl, but it's hard to say if that translates to lore. Squid launchers are in a category of their own, I'd say they're almost just an aiming device with self propelled ammo, that's able to track and switch targets.

Kopaka Phantoka STARs

I always loved the BIONICLE STARs line. The capacity to build canister sets in miniature scale is more appealing to me then the thought of chibis or brickheadz. Here we have Kopaka Phantoka in that minimized scale.

Able to adjust his wings and fire his Midak Skyblaster, I’m very happy with the end result. Some more silver needed to be added to balance the wings and the lightsaber bar in the mask proved too disproportionate for a figure of this scale. Regardless I think he looks great and I’m really glad I was able to achieve such an articulated result!
