TFP reacting to you coming to the base with an injury (more specifically a leg injury)
Authors note: I may or may not have fell through my porch (stop laughing how dare you) and injured my leg rly bad, i am in pain lol and this is how im coping
Optimus Prime/Ratchet:
Optimus was working and discussing something with Ratchet when they saw you hobbling towards the stairs like some elderly person
Immediately asked what was wrong and if you're alright
You nod and wave it off as nothing, but your hesitation to walk up the stairs said otherwise
Once they realize something's up with your leg, Ratchet quickly goes into medic-mode and Optimus wants to know what happened, how it happened, and if your ok
Now you have two old bots asking a billion questions at once
After you've sat down on the bottoms steps and reassure them you're alright, you explain what happened
Both of them are like :0
Ratchet goes into medic-mode AGAIN, grumbling something along the lines of "how have humans survived this long" and "cannot believe humans use wood for architecture when it's such a safety hazard"
Optimus is calmer now knowing that you're ok, but still watches as Ratchet makes sure you're 100% not dying
Eventually they settle down, and lift you up very carefully to the couch area where you can rest
Don't you even THINK about touching those stairs.
Bumblebee:
Freaks out for a second
*panicked beeping noises* "WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU FELL THROUGH THE FLOOR WHAT HAPPENED TO YOUR LEG ARE YOU OK!!??"
You calm him down, explaining that it was just your leg that went through and all you got were a few splinters and some nasty scratches
He'll do whatever he can to make you feel better
Video games? Absolutely !! TV? Yes ! Taking you on a drive? Yesyes
Figures that if he keeps you busy (but off your leg), it'll distract you from the pain
and it works, but you do eventually need to rest and he'll be there if you need help with anything
Arcee:
"You what"
Kind of the same reaction as bumblebee but 10x calmer (at least on the outside)
On the inside she's worried bc you just told her you hurt your leg, yet you're WALKING still (wouldn't even call it walking, more like shakily limping around)
Arcee's not gonna baby you but she is gonna make sure you're ok throughout the day
Which means she's probably gonna stick by you a lot more
You don't mind it though, the two of you chat and chill most of the time
If she has to go on a mission while you're still recovering, she'll put you on the couch in the base and says if you even think about moving she'll fuck up your other leg (not really ofc but her "arcee-ness" tone makes you listen anyways)
Bulkhead:
Sweet bot i love him so much <33
You explain what happened in great detail and if cybertronians could get queasy, he would most definitely be
If Miko was there she would be all ears though LMAO
"Was there a lot of blood???!!!" "MIKO!"
Ofc asks if you're ok and how long it'll take until you get better
Probably'll ask Ratchet or June if he can do anything to help, and June says to make sure you change your bandages every few hours, and put medicine on so there's no risk of infection
Bulkhead states that humans need to be wrapped up in what the kids called "bubble-wrap" 24/7
Ratchet agrees

its only playing star rail that got me to actually take the time to build my characters
trying to clear space for zzz (and still not having enough) gave me enough space for genshin LOL so
looking at my builds
wriothesley and furina arent even fully leveled up
Tumblr media
also idk how team comps work in this game ive only ever focused on the story in this game
i dont know why wriostheley's here besides 'water + ice makes freeze' like
before this i had wanderer. like. hes. bETTER. uhm. i dont know what stat numbers are considered good but this is better then others. like. HES FULLY LEVELED
Tumblr media
i feel like i could create such a better team but in all honesty this is more made up of my favorites. tighnari should probably replace one of them because 1. hes good. 2. I DONT HAVE A BOW USER on the team (the amount of times ive been dying inside facing stuff you need archers for and trying to cheese them with wanderer 😭)
Tumblr media
HHHH
to be fair if i had it my way id replace raiden with cyno (but i gave up on him cause i didnt have the commitment to go hunting scarabs. ..i dont know WHY i decided wriothesley was a good idea considering i think you have to hunt shit down for him too) but i think raiden's e like. makes everyone stronger??
Tumblr media
or maybe replace one of the anemo boys with cyno but like. i know kazuhas really good. wanderer is convenient for exploration
we're pretending wriothesley doesnt exist (i dont even LIKE characters that consume hp cause im the type who likes my characters fully healed. ..furina is there because furinas my favorite besides cyno)
but in all honesty they arent too bad? like. at least they're decently leveled (talents however... uh.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(wanderer. i dont have yae miko so uh. i know he cant use it to its full potential but hh)
Tumblr media
about raiden. i have this
Tumblr media
and this (on cyno rn) and. i mean. the 4 star gives more damage. cause. i mean. yknow. so the 5 star doesnt do as much. and im still mixed on whether to leave it as it is or switch them (or if itd be better by being leveled up to 80)
Tumblr media
also this is furina. in all honesty i should probably give kazuha his sword back.
Tumblr media
im. gonna go grind and build my characters up. and maybe see if i can get furinas weapon in the meanwhile
ive never been a fan of multiple teams (which means end game fighting content with two teams is kinda rough) but in all honesty i have enough characters fully built that i probably could.
like look at tighnari he has a good weapon. hes lvl 80. he has ok artifacts.
Tumblr media
ahdiuhuasdh i have so much i probably have to do in this game. (kind of why im not the biggest fan open world exploration games like this and wuwa. its just. the story is keeping me hooked. its just that sometimes you play so much you get burnt out which is what i did i think. and i dropped the game for months lOL. then sumeru fontaine go brr. more burn out but story cool. BRRRR)
its like. cause theyre both HUGE time sinks. i give star rail a pass because you can set it to auto and do other stuff while its grinding for you ok
which i dont really like but what can you do
..thinking about it now if i downloaded wuwa (i mean if i deleted genshin) i probably wouldnt lag as bad. but also past me has already given me kind of partially built characters. so. less of a time sink. and i dont know if i have the patience to go grinding all over again during the start where you change weapons or characters so many times cause you get better ones and having wasted materials
so uhm. ghjsuifhsiudfj

Finally did the stupidly-named first quest of inazuma ch3 and some more (until right before the special shogun training) and I see the resistance still has no clue what the fuck they're doing, cool cool. Are you seriously telling me that NOBODY realised that using whatever kind of fucked up elemental energy Delusions use wasn't normal (like. elemental energy shit ain't subtle) until people started dying bc of it? And when exactly did we learn Delusions drained the bearer's life force?? Viktor didn't know shit about how they actually work. I'm so confused... (plus, yknow, Signora had a delusion for like 500 years and it did the opposite and kept her alive, but I guess she's a special snowflake. And it doesn't seem to track like how Diluc's dad died)
I wouldn't even know Teppei had died if it hadn't been for the mission description like. You can go to the back to talk to Teppei after the Dramatic Death Scene and he's still alive there even if his breathing is getting weaker?? Aren't we still in time to save him? Hello??
love how the domain letters were like 'we need to make sure nobody knows NATHAN is the spy, sure would suck if NATHAN's cover was blown bc NATHAN's role is crucial' did kokomi really have no clue about all this stuff? The GIANT RADIOACTIVE ZONE between your island and the rest of inazuma is pretty hard to miss, did she seriously not put any thought on how it got that way? How the hell did they get to the beach without trawling through that?
On the plus side finally met the scarameowmeow and I want to study him under a microscope he's so fascinatingly fucked up. humans always die so it's all the same if they do it sooner rather than later? (hello three betrayals trauma) seems to really believe killing yourself for power is worth it? just. Wow. Also he really sounded like some kinda sith lord for a hot sec there lol, more like he was trying to turn us than kill us. scara vc: EMBRACE THE ANGER!! EMBRACE IT!!!
As a result I'm kinda dubious of Yae Miko's claims of saving us bc sure, Scara was kinda laughing at us as we blacked out, but he really didn't seem interested on fighting us at all, given that the first thing he told us was that he wasn't in charge and to get going to find who was. Kinda thought he'd leave us there passed out and dip, plus given that Traveler's resistant to dead god taint (re:xiao's karma) + has purification abilities + it's hard to be angry when passed out = I'm sure we'd have been fine. Maybe I'm just looking for in-canon reasons for the main character shield though
But glad to know SOMEONE (even if it's Yae) sees how the inazuman people SHOULD be gunning for the shogun's head even though nobody does against all common sense (seriously, if that's not the goal of the resistance then Why The Fuck Are They Fighting. Fighting should be a means to an end, not the goal itself!)
I've stalled out on starting Inazuma act 2 on my alt because I don't want to deal with all that drama. Inazuma is so unappealing, especially as it keeps going... hot take, but Genshin is vastly improved by just not engaging with the story at all.
A lot of the information Genshin presents is misleading or just straight up wrong, so it's probably better not to think about it too hard. (Example A: Archons don't give out visions regardless of what characters keepsaying).
I'm amazed you got all that out of Scaramouche. Doesn't he say like 3 lines total to you there? I only recall that he sounded like a bland evil type and that was my first time ever seeing him, so I wasn't particularly impressed.
As for the resistance, Genshin's writing has a very strong pro-authority undercurrent. The authority of the archons and the divine is absolute and correct. We can only go against human usurpers who are misleading or misusing divine authority that doesn't belong to them. Since Raiden is the rightful god of Inazuma, naturally she can't be rejected or opposed, only lightly persuaded so she can find her way back to the right path or whatever.
The ultimate outcome for Watatsumi is that Kokomi advances the idea that people need to get over the Orobashi being killed (and used as material and tool to forge weapons??) and makes a backroom deal with Yae to have the government provide aide to them. And that's basically the outcome for the desert people as well. So yeah.

Yall im starting to figure out how to put Thoughts into Real and like. this is incredible
You look at me working, a focused writer, like 39 ressarch concepts and notes and analisys and shit, a mind map that looks SO fancy and complex enough to get a headache, but in actuality im working on Cringe and writing down stuff like:
-Two caracters have a connecting line with the only description being "Besties /neg"
-A character's placeholder name is Hatsune Miko!?? (Puntuation necessary)
-Tagging a character's main arc as "What the fuck is going on where am i"
-On that same note here are some tagged, serious arcs: Going to Jail, Dying a lame death, another evil but this time for real i swear, literaly becoming an eldrich creature, and blind lol
-Complex timeline with main events named "ohshit", "cant get worse" and "It got worse"
And my ressarch for it includes: how to dismantle a governamental system, when a group becomes a cult, the concept of a soul trough human history and how to artificially keep a body alive.
i love being a writer

Hello! I can’t believe I’m writing another letter. Hopefully this will be the last. Haha. Coz I can’t keep adding shit to this blog every attempt and then end up not being successful. Lol. Like, bitch can’t do anything right in life and even in DEATH. FOR FUCKING SHAME. 😆
My name is Seth. I was born Suzette Antonio Soyangco. I stopped using that name ever since my mom committed suicide. I refuse to be called by my dead name so I hope you respect that.
I know that you’re all fucking tired of seeing the same scenario where I would attempt to kill myself and then I’d end up surviving that shit. If there’s a god, please I beg you. Do me a favor and end my suffering already. You know that I’m not strong enough to live. Take me away from this ugly vessel. I hated it ever since. It’s fat, heavy, full of flaws and there’s so many complications. I mean, why the fuck would you give me a faulty vessel? You could’ve made me hot and popular. Lol.
Anyway, this letter is not meant to be sad. I wanted everyone to laugh at my jokes even after kicking the bucket. Hehe.
Dad, I know you noticed. I know that you knew something’s off. Kinda wished you cared a bit more. But I swear, I know you loved me. It’s not your fault. None of this is your fault. It’s me. Hi. I’m the problem, it’s me. (Lol sorry had to throw a little Taylor Swift action in there hehehehehe) I will always love you. I’ll kiss mama for you. I’ll make sure to find that bitch coz she’s one of the main reasons why I’m following her footsteps HAHAHAHAHAHA
Chico; bitch i love you. You were my best friend, my brother, my twin from another uterus, the Sully to my Mike Wazowski, the redbull to my jager bomb. Never stop playing the drums! Never stop writing songs! Treat yourself a little bit more kinder. You are amazing. You’re a very handsome man.
Mimi; You’re the sister I wish I had. I love you with every fiber of my being. you’re such an amazing person and you’re going to be so successful and please please please keep singing. Continue to bring light in people’s hearts.
Joe; my maaaan. You brought my dreams to life dude. You made me see my true potential. And i love you for that! I’m sorry I won’t be alive to see you buy that building you always wanted. Don’t worry tho, I promise to haunt the hallways whenever you’re in the building. If you hear someone singing the hook to Psycho at 3am in one of your hallways, that’s me. Hahahahaha.
Mia; I’m sorry I was a bad friend. Tell Knives and Audrey I’m sorry. I was supposed to watch over the three of you. I can’t keep myself alive to do that. But I promise I’ll take care of you in the afterlife. If there’s any.
Andrea, Miko, Joshy and Pee; four of my fucking bitches in CNX!!! I love you guys. Thanks for making my corporate ass kissing life a little less fucky. You were the greatest office buddies I have ever had!
To my past lovers who I loved dearly before;
Kent, Wilson, Daniel, Kyle Adrian, Manfred, Carlos Oyo, Marck Steven, Carlo, Joshua Caleb, Richard Jim Matthew (fucking long ass name haha), and Anthony. Thank you for teaching me what love, pain and struggles are. You were my temporary happiness. I loved you all. Specially you, Aga.
To Clarence and Niño, oo sinadya ko na hindi isama yung name nyo dun kasi putangina nyo. I hope you get the same fucking depression that I had. Fuck you to hell and back. I hope you both die a horrible death. Suck my devil dick and choke.
This last part will be for the most important person, the only person I genuinely care about.
My beautiful daughter, SOFIA ELIST.
Words cannot describe how much I love you. You’re the only reason I stayed this long, baby. I’m sorry I won’t get to see you grow up. But hey, don’t be sad. Your life will be sooo much better without me coz I’m a horrible mom. Haha. I swear you’re gonna thank me for dying early coz idk what I would do to your first boyfriend (or girlfriend. Whatever your preference is in the future). I’d terrorize the shit out of that person to make sure they have good intentions towards you. You were the best thing that has ever happened to me. I don’t wanna be a burden to you anymore. Be safe anak. Mahal na mahal ka ni mommy. Maiintindihan mo din ako soon. I love you and I’ll always will. Don’t make the same mistakes I did. I loved your paper dolls and drawings. I love how you sing and dance! You are so beautiful. More beautiful than I am. Chase your dream and never stop believing in yourself. I love you.
My name is Seth. I’m a daughter, a sister, a mother, a friend and a lover. I don’t know exactly know myself. I have no idea who the real me is. I never had a real personality. I mirror every body I meet. I am not unique. I’m basically a small piece of everybody built in one human. I wanted to be a singer. A world renowned singer. But it didn’t happen. Coz God knows I’ll kill myself sooner when the hate gets to me. He brought me into this world to create a beautiful human named Sofia. When she came, that how I knew that my job here on earth is done. I loved pancakes, cooking, and I have a sweet tooth. My favorite color is turquoise and every similar color in that spectrum. I loved tattoos and piercings. I was here, I tried to save myself, I failed, and now I’m gone.
I leave you something to remember by, DO NO HARM but TAKE NO SHIT.
I don’t remember who or where I got that from but ain’t nobody who’s about to kill themselves got time to research that.
Don’t forget to live the DILLIGAF life. Everybody always has some shit to say so fuck it. You do you. I love you all. Be kind to each other. 🖤😘🥰

hey there! could we get that classic summer cliche, the infamous popsicle? 😂 blue raspberry happens to be my favorite flavor, so i think the Prime universe will do well for this;
maybe June or Reader brought popsicles on base for the kids to cool off, but those things get drippy real fast in the Jasper heat so they’re pretty likely to make a mess of whoever has one. can we get some flustered reactions (from any of your favorite bots) to their human S/O lappin up a blue one? i’m always a sucker for suggestive summer
I’m not saying that I love the grumpy medic, all I’m saying is that he’s a cutie and I would pinch his cheeks if I could. AKA everyone wants me to pick my own bots and it’s just the same bots over and over LOL
Warnings: Sexual Situations, Implied Sexual Content, Bots Getting Flustered, Robot x Human Relationship
Optimus Prime:
Optimus is enjoying how excited the kids get at the prospect of popsicles. It reminds him of when Cybertron had more than just basic energon and there were treats to go around. He knows that Nevada is hot but he assumed the base was cool enough that they wouldn’t melt immediately.
He should be offering to grab napkins but the words die in his vocalizer as the blue drips down your throat. You’re making muffled sounds of protest so you try to prevent the spill from getting worse but it’s no use. It’s all over your hands, clothing and face.
Optimus tries to be respectful. He sees humans as complex beings with just as much autonomy as his kind. None of his thoughts are respectful as your tongue darts out (dyed bright blue) to lick the trail curling down your wrist. It doesn’t stop the thought that you would look good covered in his transfluid and if you would lick it up as eagerly as you did the popsicle.
His fans kick on but no one hears because the kids are shrieking and Ratchet is scolding everyone to clean up. He quickly excuses himself to grab something to clean up the mess, needing to leave the room as quickly as possible. He pointedly ignores the look at June gives him, the nurse smirking as Optimus tries his best to push the dirty thoughts out of his head.
Ratchet:
Ratchet has been trying all summer to get the kids to increase their water intake. No one is going to be dehydrated on his watch and it takes a little while for June to convince him to let them bring in sweets. As much as he grumbles about it, he’s more than willing to see the kids happy. It’s the sugar rush that he’s less excited about.
He warns them that the popsicles will make a mess but is promptly ignored. He’s grumbling as he turns back to the computers, seeing you struggle out of the corner of his optics. You’re enjoying your treat but it’s getting out of hand, moving down your hand and throat. Ratchet isn’t surprised to admit that he finds you attractive and the way that you respond to his flirting tells him that you’re interested too.
Ratchet doesn’t feel ashamed that he’s enjoying your struggling. You swear lightly as it breaks in half, catching it before it falls to the ground and just getting blue everywhere. Your lips and tongue are stained and Ratchet smirks as you start whimpering and dripping on the floor.
You must have heard him because you turn to face him, tongue ticking out of your mouth to lick the blue going down your wrist. Ratchet just raises an optic ridge, making a point of looking between your mouth and the rest of you. He senses when your heartbeat speeds up, quickly looking away and going to grab some napkins. He feels more than sees Arcee glare a look into the back of his helm. He’s going to have to follow up with you later then, preferably when the kids are gone and the two of you are alone.
Bulkhead:
Miko had been complaining all day about the heat and Bulk had to agree, it was getting to be a pain. He had been letting her hang out in his cab and blast the AC, perking up when June and you showed up. The nurse was quick to distribute popsicles to the kids, Bulk transforming to greet you. You gave a smile and asked about his day, both of you keeping half an eye on the kids.
He always enjoyed chatting with you; you were kind and always willing to talk to him. You never made him feel stupid and it was refreshing to have conversations with someone besides the other bots. Bulkhead loved his crew but they fell into old habits. It was refreshing to talk to someone new. And you were cute and smart and – ok maybe he had a crush. Maybe he had a big crush.
June interrupts your talk to hand you a popsicle and gives Bulkhead a wink before going to grab her own. Ok maybe he has a huge, giant, obvious crush but it’s fine because you haven’t noticed and he’d never ever tell you and Primus you’re making a mess everywhere. Bulk is frozen as you start struggling in front of him, treat already half melted and all over your hands. You’re a good sport about it, laughing and joking as you try to prevent dripping everywhere.
Please call back later, Bulkhead is not available at the moment. His processor has shorted out and he can’t look away from your face and hands. He’s not a completely obvious mech and this is too much for him. He should be able to pull himself together but he’s never going to be able to get this imagine out of his head. It takes Bee shaking his arm to bring him back to the room where everyone is staring at him and he’s immediately embarrassed. He makes a hasty retreat, Ratchet laughing to himself and Arcee smirking. June looks proud of herself and you’re just confused, asking if he’s ok. Bulk isn’t going to be able to talk to you for a week.
Ultra Magnus:
Magnus blames Ratchet for his impure thoughts. He had just finished getting the ‘Human Sexuality 101’ lecture from the doctor, something he didn’t think was completely necessary. There was no way they were going to stay long enough on Earth to have those kinds of relations, even if Ratchet gave him a knowing look.
He respects you. You’re a valuable part of the team and you add a level head that’s needed with the kids around. You don’t find it awkward to talk to him and go out of your way to make him feel welcomed. Ultra Magnus might find you… aesthetically pleasing as well but that’s only because he’s been learning about human art and culture.
He has nothing to excuse his thoughts now. He had tried to corral the kids into one spot to minimize the mess but it hadn’t worked. He’s in the middle to grabbing something to clean up with when he turns to see you struggling. Magnus feels like his processor is having issues rebooting. You’re trying to lick the popsicle as quickly as possible and then you wrap your lips around the bottom and suck. The sound makes him flinch and his fans turn on with a loud clang.
Now he’s a big mech. He’s an old mech. Magnus has, contrary to most bots beliefs, been in relationships and knows how to identify his own attraction. It’s been a long time since he’s felt these things and it’s a mix of exciting and terrifying. His ignores the confused voices behind him as he turns smartly on his heels and leaves the room. No one sees him for the rest of the day but it’s better that way; he needs to think about this and now.

Bud I’m sorry to swing into your inbox uninvited like this but my soul is having an OOTS renaissance thanks to your content in the tag and did you say Leverage AU
haha holy SHIT this got Long. but yes. i’ve been. Thinking. (also literally Never feel like you have to apologize for sending me messages. i was Hoping someone would ask me about this. now i have an Excuse to share EVERYTHING ive written abt it :3)
Obviously, Roy is the leader/brains of the outfit. He grew up having some Strong Opinions abt what’s Legal versus what’s Right due to tragic backstory involving the death of his little brother which was definitely SOMEONE’S fault for negligence but since there technically wasn’t any illegal behavior, there were no consequences for it. Also he’s still angry at his dad bc he thinks his dad is also partly culpable (and also also just a dick). He’s the Moral Backbone of the team (alongside Durkon, more on that later) in basically the same way Nate was in og Leverage. He’s actually not the best at figuring out what people want (that’s Haley and, shockingly, occasionally Elan), but once he has that info, he is the absolute best at figuring out the ideal plan of attack to use in any given case.
Haley is still a thief. I mean she maps to Parker almost PERFECTLY. Her dad was a thief & a conman, her mom wasn’t but knew about it and mostly accepted it, but she died tragically in a mugging gone wrong or smth, which made Ian crank the paranoia WAY up and taught Haley to do the same in the name of “safety”. Let’s keep the “Ian is in Trouble and Haley needs money, Fast” which is why she signs on to the first job in the first place. She’s less acrobatic than Parker, tending towards finding (or making) weak spots in security, but she can still make a tumble check when she needs to.
Elan is the grifter who is somehow an Idiot but also not???? It baffles everyone. When he’s playing a part for a con, he’s FLAWLESS, but then the rest of the time he’s just. No Thoughts Head Empty. He probably gets lured in initially because he’s decided to try his hand at being part of a full team, rather than the two-man cons he’s been running that invariably end w his partner conning him as well and stealing half of his take. Also he likes the idea of being Crime Friends. He’s that tweet where it’s like, Roy: “after the heist is over, we split up and never communicate again” / Elan: [about to unveil his Crime Buddies Forever Friendship Quilt Puppets]: “never?”
Vaarsuvius is the hacker/gadget person. They have a Vaguely Snobby Yet Unidentifiable accent, dyed(?) purple hair (nobody has ever seen their roots) and nobody knows who they “really” are or where they came from, but they’re good at what they do so everyone just accepts the mystery. They probably got suckered into the team by their initial employer (who I’ll get to Eventually, lol) framing it as a challenge to their intellect, like, “oh, I see, you’re not smart enough to make this team work for you...” to which they were like Fucking Watch Me and also melted his computer. Anyways. They are joined (digitally) by their Intrepid Friend And Co-Conspirator (his words, not theirs), a fellow hacker known only as Blackwing, or, on certain forums, Blackwing_Bird. (In the first season, V only occasionally references him when saying they’re “calling in extra help” or smth for a particularly complex hack job. He starts showing up a little more in s2 and eventually by the start of s4 is a regular & established presence, but only appears as actions in a computer interface or output.) Elan is convinced he’s an AI, Belkar doesn’t think he actually exists, Haley pretends she doesn’t think he exists, and Durkon and Roy try not to think about it too hard, as long as B and V still get the job done.
Belkar is the hitter. He is on the team bc their initial employer got him out of jail for it. He doesn’t have a tragic backstory, he just likes doing violent crimes. As the series progresses, he grows some empathy & stuff, but really only for people who actually deserve it. Assholes still get decked. It’s all very touching. (Also he has dwarfism caused by achondroplasia. It doesn’t actually bother him and is useful in fights bc his opponents frequently have no fucking clue how to approach him, but he likes Pretending to take offense at stupid things just to see how far he can go with it.)
Aaaand last but not least, Durkon is the least involved member of the team. He’s actually a career criminal and Roy’s mentor, and wasn’t a member of the initial team that [redacted, I’ll tell you later, PROMISE] put together for a couple of reasons, the main one being that he’s Officially retired in order to spend more time with his family, which consists of his mom, his friend (not girlfriend) Hilgya, baby Kudzu, and a truly stunning number of aunts, uncles, and cousins. Roy frequently calls or visits him for advice and he Occasionally shows up to help out on local jobs, but generally he avoids doing crime if he can (as part of a deal with Hilgya, who is also a career criminal; basically, they’ve both cut back on the crime in order to provide a more stable home environment for Kudzu. But sometimes, you gotta do a little crime, and in those cases, Sigdi enjoys spending time w her grandson.)
NOW. THE BIG REVEAL YOU’VE BEEN WAITING FOR. Who got the team together in the first place?!
The answer: Lord Shojo (or whatever Normal Person Name you want to assign him). Now this is where it gets tricky: he had them do a thing that they thought was good, THEN they thought it was BAD, but then when they confronted him he revealed that it Appearing to be bad was actually a test of character and would they consider working as basically internal investigators for him? But then he had a heart attack, so, rip. But THEN it turned out that he’d left them a bunch of money anyway and they were all feeling kind of Inspired so they formed the Order of the Stick, LLC (which, no, i am not coming up with a new name, actually, because I just don’t care. someone else can come up w a justification for that name, tho, i’m sure it’s possible). Also Miko was there and was unhappy abt their actions, and also their general existence.
Moving on. Villains!
Redcloak is the Sterling replacement, because that DEEPLY amuses me.
Xykon is a season-long main villain, probably one that Redcloak finds himself working for but then “teams up with” (read: blackmails) the Order to bring him down bc even Redcloak finds Xykon distasteful. That’s season 3, let’s say.
Tarquin is another season villain, say season 2. Nale probably shows up pretty early in s1, actually, as another recurring antagonist like Sterling but uh. Less good at it. Anyways the s2 final 3 eps deal with them (accidentally) discovering that Tarquin runs some Evil Empire Company, then trying to outplay him and take him down. Idk if Nale still dies in this version tbh.
Tsukiko is a one-off s1 villain who returns briefly in s4 alongside Miko, who has gone well and truly off the rails.
Season 1 finale has to do w Roy finally getting Vengeance for his little brother.
The vampire squad is the s4 finale villain who do smth terrible to Durkon and then get the Mother Of All Revenge served up to them by the Order.
I envision the show as being 5 seasons (like og Leverage) but I’m not going to sketch out s5 because I think it should be based off whatever happens in the current story arc, possibly involving some legacy of the OotSquiggle.
Other stuff!
The Order of the Squiggle is a legendary criminal team from the 60s who stole a BUNCH of famous shit & then proceeded to legendarily implode. This has no bearing on the plot I’ve sketched out, I just think it’s fun.
The Sapphire Guard members should probably be reworked as FBI. I don’t care about most of them but I do think that Lien and O-Chul could be like, FBI agents who Choose to look the other way while the Order does their very-much-not-legal-but-still-fair Justice Crime, and maybe even help them out on occasion.
So, the Final season-by-season outline, based on everything I’ve written so far:
s1 e1: getting the team together, doing a con for Shojo, then at the end he dies and the gang is like “dang what now?" and intend to split up except then they Don’t.
mid-s1: Nale shows up and tries to trick the Order, but then gets beat like a drum.
late s1: Tsukiko is an underling of the Villain Of The Week, winds up in police custody. But She’ll Be Back.
s1 finale: Roy’s Vengeance: The Vengeaning. also we meet Redcloak as an antagonist.
s2 e1: the truth abt Haley’s father comes out
early s2: The Two Live Crews Job but it’s the Order vs the Linear Guild and the Linear Guild ARE all bad guys.
mid-s2: Redcloak returns. ugh.
late s2: the sapphire guard FBI makes its first appearance, hello O-Chul and Lien.
s2 pre-finale: once again they’re in conflict w Nale over smth, he spends the whole episodes making Cryptic Remarks, they basically beat him (like a drum!) but then the stinger at the end is that Tarquin reveals himself and Elan is like “Dad?!”, roll credits.
s2 finale, part 1: Elan is hanging out w Tarquin bc he’s DEEP in Denial, the Rest of the team tries to take Tarquin down, but it doesn’t work.
s2 finale, part 2: Elan finally gets a clue and they manage to beat Tarquin. still haven’t decided if Nale dies or not, but I’m leaning towards yes. also they rescue Haley’s dad.
s3 e1: fuck dude idk.
early s3: Redcloak shows up, AGAIN, everyone groans. he has blackmail on them, he wants them to take Xykon down.
mid s3: The Rashomon Job but it’s about stealing the Talisman of Dorukan and it turns out that Nale was there too (“oh!” Elan says. “I was wondering why I looked so weird in all those mirrors! But it wasn’t my reflection, it was Nale’s!” “Sweetie, that wasn’t Nale’s reflection,” says Haley. “Huh,” says Elan, “so the mirrors were broken?”, cue eye rolling from everyone else.), and the Successful thief was Hilgya, who’d nabbed it from the owner before it even went on display.
s3 finale: they beat Xykon, actually factually, because he deserves to get his ass Thoroughly kicked, even if only in AU form. Lien and O-Chul are there, so are some other less helpful FBI people. There’s a bit where O-Chul Exact Wordses his way out of telling his superiors about the Order’s less legal activities without technically lying. King shit.
s4 e1: doesn’t really matter. maybe smth to do w some legacy of Tarquin’s company to set up the drama w Malack & Durkon later.
early s4: Durkon gets SENT TO PRISON. Malack approaches the Order abt this because sure they have Different Ethics but they’re still Friends. (Roy is surprised and a little hurt that he’s never heard of Malack, but he ignores that in favor of Let’s Get Whatever Fuckers Did This To Our Friend.)
immediately after that: Miko and Tsukiko return as a Team, preventing the Order from working on the Durkon situation
mid s4: Redcloak makes another unexpected & unwelcome appearance but he’s maybe a little less of a dick? the Order collaborates with Malack & his Crime Buddies (hello, Vector Legion) to pull one over on him tho, because “less of a dick” does not mean “a pleasant or decent person”, and also he was mean abt Durkon being in jail, so he totally deserved it. he still gets whatever he wanted tho, just takes a blow to his pride. also prevents the Order from helping Durkon. they’re having a LOT of setbacks wonder why that could be, not to make sure the season fills its whole length or anything, no sirree
s4 finale: something something taking down the organization, headed by Hel (yes that’s her real name), which framed Durkon for their Big Crime. Durkon goes free and Extra Firmly retires, For Good, He Swears, but says he “met someone new” who might be an asset.
s5 e1: minrah joins the team! and the episode is set in like, somewhere really snowy. that’s all i got.
the rest of s5: don’t know, don’t care, it’s open-ended until the comic finishes up.

after many hours in UM and 1cc'ing with every character, i can finally present my card tier list! some of these rankings are based on personal preference. for instance, some tier lists have placed remilia at s tier, and i don't DISAGREE with that. it's a really good card, but i just don't enjoy it as much. so in a way, this is very much "the casual player's tier list". i will explain some things below if you're interested:
S tier
Saki is in S tier because her card is ESSENTIAL, in my opinion. The damage difference is really important for every character, and at least as far as I can tell, it doesn't drop off late-game, either. If someone informs me that it does drop off when you hit full power, i'll be removing it.
Now you may ask: why Miko? Sumireko and Piece are so good, and you just talked about how good Remilia is. Well, I like Miko because with those other cards, I tend to accidentally try to use them as death-bombs. And of course, that never works. None of the active cards function as death bombs, so that false sense of comfort does me in more times than not. For that reason, Miko's active is good for me, because if you want to use it well, you have to use it preemptively. There are cards I know I struggle with, or midboss sections like stage 4, 5 and 6 mid - that Miko can handle so long as you use it at the right time. Byakuren isn't ESSENTIAL for Miko to be good, but it makes the active a lot better and reduces cooldown. If you have Miko, Byakuren probably goes to S tier.
A tier
That said, if you can't get a Miko, Sumireko is the second best bet. Her little circle of invulnerability can come in really clutch if you can use it at the right time (or remember to use it at all LOL). Byakuren would go in S if Sanae, the definitive best character (those who say Reimu is... you're crazy, snakes are too powerful), actually needed it. But she doesn't. Sanae's bomb is already insanely strong, and she doesn't really need Byakuren's help. That said. With Byakuren she becomes even stronger. So in retrospect, I think I should have put Byakuren in S tier. It just feels good, and that's important!
Speaking of remembering to use ability cards and bombs, though... Eirin can be a real run saver. Near the end of the run, you can start getting tired. If you have a silly death that could have been prevented, you may get discouraged. In those situations, it can be easy to snowball into a defeated spiral and keep dying over and over, without even bombing! But Eirin has the power to prevent that. More experienced players may find this one useless, but if you're just trying to 1cc these games for fun, Eirin can be quite good!
Mokou is good if you can afford her for obvious reasons - but be careful not to spend too much power later on to get this card. The later stages become quite difficult when you're low on power - you can go into a loss snowball really quickly because you can't clear enemies quick enough so the screen fills with bullets. To get Mokou you kind of need to be on a positive snowball.
B tier
For B tier, the top three equipment options really depend on who you're playing and what you need. For Sanae and Reimu, I think Mini-Hakkero is really good. Based on my testing, Hakkero is better than Needle and Missile, so in comparison, the other two are probably not worth it.
Sakuya B has in my experience been a GREAT card for both Marisa and Sakuya. The knives can be hard to aim, but they seem to do quite a bit of damage, so they really help to make up for the lack of range on both Sakuya and Marisa. Honestly though, I think they'd be fine on anyone. I haven't seen anyone talking about them but... yeah, they're underrated. Another thing is: they feel good.
Then, yin-yang orbs - I just think these are nice to have. They're better than snakes as equipment primarily because they can hit behind you, but I also think they have more consistent dps. Snakes miss a lot more often, which isn't really a big deal when you're Sanae who has 4 snake outlets, but it is a big deal when there's only one snake.
Alice doll - I'm pretty sure this is good. It moves quickly, homes in on stuff, can hit behind you, increases DPS, isn't too expensive. I like to take this when I see it.
Then, lives. Lives being only 80 money can be a big deal. In quite a few of my runs, I've taken lives 3/5 stages because I was just not very lucky with card selection, but I still managed. Lives are very strong if you can manage to not waste them and remember to use bombs.
Yachie's card is good if you can get it early - it wouldn't be in B tier except it's very, very cheap. Only 140 iirc. Now, the UFO... why did I choose that as my best bullet eraser? You may say: patchun, you've said in the past that Okina is really good for erasing bullets! And yes, you're right, you're right - but Okina is really only consistently useful for that one Chimata card, and once you learn that card, it's not very difficult to avoid. Plus, UFO can help with that card too! UFO doesn't give a fuck what it touches, it will erase it. It doesn't have a cooldown as far as I can tell, so it just erases everything in a circle around you constantly. I rank it this high up because UFO saved my ass MANY, many times against Misumaru, who is in my opinion the toughest boss in the game. UFO can destroy yin-yang orbs, so it makes several of her patterns a lot easier. Not even Sumireko can destroy yin-yang orbs. If you happen to see UFO and nothing else, and if you don't think you'll be distracted by it, try it out.
Few more comments
I think Sanae Frog is good on Marisa and Sakuya. Not better than the equipment cards in A tier, but good if you see it. I think anything that helps with Marisa and Sakuya's horrible range is great for them.
I've seen Sannyo card ranked pretty highly, and maybe if you get it early on it is, but I don't feel like it's worth a place in your starting deck, personally.
Mamizou can be good if you've already snowballed as a way to prevent a downfall. But I don't think she's worth picking up early at all. And Keiki's bullet erasing is good, but I found it often erased something I didn't need it to erase just to fail at erasing what I did need it to erase. Probably better than nothing, but far from a must-have, and the no-CD on the UFO and backdoor having very little CD makes them stand out for erasure.
I've heard good things about Aya, as well, but I personally never take my hand off the shoot key. Yuyuko's card may save you in a miracle situation but it's just very unlikely, honestly might be more startling than helpful. You generally know when you're about to die, so when you suddenly don't, it's like... your brain hasn't processed correctly, so you probably just die soon after. Sakuya left-right knives suck. Don't use them lol.
And finally, Utsuho is such a funny card. But... power is such an important resource in this game, with how snowball-y it is, that I could never justify using Utsuho on a serious attempt. I'd love to see some Utsuho challenge runs though.

Despite how little time I actually have these days to sit down and read anything, I’ve developed quite the long list of manga. Some of it’s popular stuff like AoT or Berserk, and others are just trashy series that I’ll never talk about because I have some level of shame. I don’t know where Im leading with this except to give some kind of context for the random manga I’m about to list off. I’ll put genre and a small synopsis, not all of these are going to be to everyone’s tastes, if any of them are, but I highly recommend each one of them.
We’re gonna start with my favorite and go down
1. The Faraway Paladin
Tumblr media
William is a shut-in that dies alone in his apartment and is reincarnated as a baby, surrounded by three undead figures: a mummy, a ghost, and a skeleton. The three raise him as their own son and teach him combat and magic as he tries to figure out the reason he was given a second chance.
fantasy, adventure, isekai
Please don’t let the isekai description deter you, it’s not a harem, or an ecchi anime, or some power fantasy where Will is the chosen one. It’s focus is mostly on family and Will’s connections with other people and how that strengthens him. It’s only got 28 chapters translated right now, so don’t expect a sweeping saga, but it’s still criminally underrated in a space saturated with mediocre fantasy isekai. But if you do like the story and can’t wait, it’s adapted from a light novel.
Also just, look at my boy, my beautiful son.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
2. Ebony
Tumblr media
5 years ago, Ebony Vonieck was convicted for the murder of her fiance and sent to a women-only prison, where the guards abused and mistreated the inamtes on a daily basis. Then one day, Archduke Schneider somehow managed to free her from her imprisonment and brought her to his manor, where she was tgiven a warm reception and care that she was not used to. Schneider sees in Ebony a level of intelligence and potential that’s wasted on the patriarchal society of her kingdom, and gives her the oppurtunites to grow her skill and work alongside him.
historical, fantasy, romance
Honestly it would probably be better to just paste the descriptions as they’re given, but I don’t think either description fits with what this story is. No, this is not a stroy where a man comes in and saves the poor woman from the evil other men and tells her she ~just doesn’t know how special she is~. This is a story about a woman taking her life back after everything was stolen from her, and taking the oppurtunities given to her to rise above her percieved worth and gain confidence in herself. Ebony is a fantastic character, and the story is majorily focused on her growth as a person, rather than her romance with Schneider (which hasn’t even started yet in the chapters that have been translated).
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
3. A Stepmother's Märchen
Tumblr media
At a young age, Shuli was sold off to marry the windowed Marquis of Neuschwanstein and take care of his four children. But suddenly, the Marguis died, leaving Shuli alone in a high society world she knew nothing about. She lived her life under harsh criticism and scorn, even from her own adopted children, until one day she’s pushed down a flight of stairs and dies. But instead of dying, she’s brought back to the day of her husband’s funeral, and begins living her life as the  Marchioness Shuli Von Neuschwanstein, but this time she’s going to do it differently.
fantasy, romance, drama
At this point you can probably tell my preferences, and guess what this one is going to be about. And you’d be right, it’s about family, rectifying past mistakes, and romance that’s pratically nonexistant because finding out who you are and what you stand for is more important at the moment. Admittedly this one is more on the power fantasy side of Shuli getting to stick it to people who were assholes in previous life, but I still think it’s a good read with some unique and beautiful art.
4. Mieruko-chan
Tumblr media
All of a sudden, Miko is able to see grotesque monsters all around her; but no one else can. Rather than trying to run away or face them, she instead musters all of her courage and... ignores them. Join in on her day-to-day life as she keeps up her best poker face despite the supernatural goings-on.
comedy, supernatural, horror
This one’s mainly just for fun, and to break up the list so you don;t think all of my faves are the exact same lol. You’ve defintely seen at least a few images from this one, even if you don’t remember where they’re from. It’s mostly a gag/slife of life manga about a girl who can suddenly see ghosts everywhere, and tries to keep them from noticing that she can see them as she goes about her daily life. But what you might not know is that it has...a plot? Kind of? There’s defintely an overarching story going on that’s been taking priorty for the most recent chapters, and it’s defintely what kept the story from going stale on me. Overall it’s a fun read with more depth to it than you’d initially expect.
5. Yeon Lok Heun
Tumblr media
Yeon grew up disguised as a boy, living in a monk sancuray learning marital arts as her father went on a journey to get revenge on the people who murdered her mother when she was a baby. When her father gets arrested and is about to be excecuted for his crimes, Yeon begs the young Emperor Garyun to take her life instead. The emperor sees potential in this boy and agrees to spare the father in exchange for the boy’s life-long servitude. The manga follows Yeon solving supernatural problems for the Emperor while trying to keep her identity hidden, even as she falls in love.
historical, fantasy, romance, action
YEAH IT’S ANOTHER ONE OF THESE. AND? AND???
In contrast to the others, however, this one actually isn’t about found family or personal demons, it’s mostly just about Yeon and her supernatural misadventures. And also the romance kind hits you like a freight train. There is no slowburn here, it’s just nonexistant and than WHAM, you’re making frustrated groans at your phone at 2 a.m. because you dorks, you’re in love. It’s fun, a little angsty, and trust me don’t even go into this expecting a breadcrumb trail to the romance just enjoy the story and wait to get hit.
6. The Emperor and the Female Knight
Tumblr media
Paulina is a bastard daughter of a count that was sold off at a young age and trained as a soldier to fight in the ongoing war between Cukda and Acrea. After 6 years fighting in this war, she’s captured by Acrean soldiers as a prisoner. After seeing her potential and dedication, Lucius, Emporer of Acrea, offers her a chance to work under him in his army.
historical, fantasy, romance
shut up shut up shut up shut up
I’ll only say one think: twink king supreme and his ginormous, stupidly obvious crush on his butch right hand woman. If you want a romance centering around a masculine woman who’s never given that “Cinderella moment” where she realizes she was “beatiful all along,” and instead stays the entire story as a gruff, buff, battle-hardened badass, then this is the story for you. Incredibly funny, good characters, and a poor man that just wants to smooch Paulina so bad but she’s such a musclehead and doesn’t get it.
Tumblr media
7. July as Found by Chance
Tumblr media
It starts with Danoh realizing that she has severe gaps in her memory. One minute she’s in class, and the next it’s three days later and she’s in a hospital bed for a check-up on her heart condition. The, she gets flashs of the future, jumbled up images and words that later come true right in front of her eyes. And then she finds the book, with her name inside it. But she’s not the main character, she’s a side character that exists to die.
romance, drama
Unlike every other manga/manhwa on this list, this one is actually completed. It’s a pretty somber story, about two people that find out they’re characters in a story with a set storyline and no chance of happiness together. It’s mostly about their struggle to find some agency in their situation, no matter how much they’re pulled apart. It’s cute, and sometimes sad, with an incredibly unique take on “characters trapped in a story” that I’ve never seen before and haven’t since.
And that’s it for now! Each one of these has something unique to offer, in my mind, and deserve a lot more attention than they have. And now you have a glance at what my tastes are lol, if I’m not reading something like this, then it’s something more action oriented or at least more well-known. If you’ve managed to make it to the end, thanks, maybe I’ll do another one of these if people like this one.

InuxKag Week 2020 Day 3--Confession
Breathe--rated Teen
Not my absolute favorite one-shot I’ve written but... it’ll do.
I’m writing another confession piece because I want the satisfaction of loving my own work lol Also on: HERE

“It is the only way,” Kikyo said sadly.
“But… what about…” Kagome said as she looked back towards the barrier to see her friends standing outside of it.
“Kagome, he will be alright.”
Kagome exhaled shakily. The elder priestess had summoned her to talk but had decided that she was the only one who needed to hear the conversation. Kikyo’s body was gravely damaged from the miasma Naraku had impaled her with. Even after Kagome tried to heal her, it was to no avail—her body was still failing.
Kikyo had called to her for help—well—more like a request that she didn’t want anyone else to hear. That should have been a red flag in and of itself. Kagome reluctantly accepted the invitation, even to Inuyasha’s original discomfort. But she knew that if Kikyo wanted to speak with her, even with their friends outside the barrier, it must’ve been serious.
What she hadn’t expected was Kikyo’s request—to return to the other side of the well until she could vanquish Naraku and then she could return to purify the jewel. She said her soul was restless and refused to leave her body but her body was breaking down. Kikyo’s theory was if Kagome returned home, her soul would fight less and her body would be resilient, rather than succeed to its reincarnation.
Kagome’s main concern was Inuyasha. How would he cope with everything? She swore to stay by his side and had kept that promise. But would she break it so he could keep his? His promise to protect Kikyo? She sighed realizing it was more likely for her to break her promise rather than him…
Afterall, he loved Kikyo. Not her. Her love for the half-demon was one-sided. She knew he heard her at Kaguya’s castle. They had shared a kiss. It was chaste, short, but enough to draw him out of his full demon state. She also figured he heard her scream it to Naraku’s creepy infant and Kagura before she passed out… Neither time was ever addressed in conversation so she never brought it up. She would prefer to act like she didn’t put her heart out there on the line to just be stomped on. To be fair, he hadn’t stomped on it, if anything he just walked past it.
“Kagome,” Kikyo said as she stood uneasily. Kagome rushed over to her to steady her. The older miko granted her a soft smile of gratitude and then waved her off. “It is ultimately your decision; but we are short on time for you to decide.”
“Will you… Will you travel with them?”
“Yes.”
“You’ll protect them?”
“Of course.”
“Alright.”
“If the jewel is sacrificed in battle, you may want to say your goodbyes now if you get trapped beyond the well.”
Kagome nodded solemnly. As much as she wanted to be there, by her friends’ sides fighting Naraku, helping them exact their revenge and end his evil tirade, Kikyo deserved vengeance more. It honestly wasn’t her fight and her incarnation was the true guardian of the jewel—not her.
“I am sorry, Kagome. I wish there was a way for us to both coexist…”
“Mhm,” Kagome hummed, trying to hold back her tears. Kikyo and her had made amends as best as they could. The issues they hadn’t been able to resolve revolved  around one hanyou and a shared soul. But they were at least cooperative and civil.
Kikyo lowered the barrier and their friends stepped forward in haste.
“Kagome?” Sango called her friend. Kagome turned and smiled the best fake smile she could. Sango didn’t trust Kikyo and judging from her friend’s sadness, she had every right not to.
“I’m alright. Kikyo and I were just talking strategies.”
“Behind a barrier?” Miroku questioned.
“What was decided, Kikyo?” Inuyasha asked softly. Kagome had thought previously her heart couldn’t break any further—but she was dead wrong.
Kikyo turned to Kagome, as if prompting her to let everyone know the decision she had come to. It made Kagome feel even sicker. Even smaller. “We, uh, decided that…” she couldn’t finish. It was like her throat closed up and no sound could come out.
“Kagome will return to her era. My body and soul will recover without the strain her presence has upon it. Once it is repaired and I am strong enough to fight Naraku, she can return.”
All eyes fell upon Kagome, or she assumed they did. She honestly found her feet more appealing than anything else. Biting her lip, she took strides to get her backpack and then shot Sango a desperate look for escape to which she nodded sadly. Kagome mouthed a silent thank you to her. She hoped they would see each other again.
“Kirara,” Kagome said softly, beckoning the large demon cat forward. She hopped on her back and patted her to take off. She couldn’t bring herself to say goodbye. The tears in her eyes pooled heavily and her throat still hadn’t loosened. She was a coward. But she had to help Inuyasha keep his promise even if it made him hate her.
“Wait—” Miroku called.
“Don’t leave us, Kagome!” Shippo cried.
Sango crossed her arms and turned away from Kikyo and Inuyasha. She began walking away from the group to try and control her emotions. She wanted to scream at Inuyasha! She wanted to slap Kikyo! Gah!!!
Miroku stepped to her side and placed his hand on her trembling shoulder, “We will make our way back to the village. Regroup with Kirara. We will leave you to your… devices.” Miroku nudged Sango to move forward as his anger and disappointment also rolled off of him.
Shippo glared at Inuyasha and ran to catch up to Miroku and Sango as he cried. The fact he hadn’t even spoken to Inuyasha told him how hurt the little guy was.
“Kikyo…” Inuyasha said; he was unable to ask the question he knew he needed to.
“Inuyasha, it is the only way we will be able to defeat Naraku. Without the separation of time, my soul will continue to break down this body.”
“Kikyo, I--...” he didn’t know how to tell her. Would he be betraying her saying he wanted Kagome at his side? How could he even tell Kikyo that? It would be basically condemning her to death. Could he even admit that out loud?
“Inuyasha, you seem upset by this decision. Is this… not what you wanted? Do you wish for my death?”
“N-no. That’s not--”
“Then why are you hesitant? Why are you questioning the plan? Naraku had deceived us into betraying one another. It is our destiny to destroy him.”
“Kikyo--”
“Inuyasha; why do you hesitate?” Kikyo kept her stoic face and voice even as she spoke to the half demon.
“I--I can’t travel with you.” Kikyo tilted her head at his admission but remained silent to hear more.
“Kikyo, I thought, well, I thought you knew.”
“What do I know?” Kikyo prompted. Inuyasha looked into her eyes finally and saw she was pressing him. Testing him. Why?
“I--” he swallowed nervously. “I need Kagome.”
“Am I not enough for you, Inuyasha?”
Inuyasha looked uncomfortable and started to frown looking at the undead priestess. She was pushing him to admit things he hadn’t told anyone. Things that he only wanted to say to the one girl who mattered. To the girl who took off running rather than saying goodbye.
“Kikyo, our time was cut short. But--” Kikyo finally placed her hand over his mouth and smiled softly.
“Inuyasha, I know. Just tell me.”
“Why? What are you--”
“I need to know that you will be loyal and protect that girl with all your heart. That you won’t make the same mistake twice. That the trust you put in her is unbreakable.”
“It is, Kikyo. I’m sorry that we--well--”
“While I know our time was short, it was meant to be that way. I now know things I didn’t when I was alive. I must apologize to you for holding you back.”
“What do you mean?”
“I know your promise to me was holding you from being with my reincarnation… I am giving you an out, as long as you say it.”
“Say what?”
“Is that girl more important to you than I am?”
He looked at her and while he was petrified to admit his deep feelings he harbored for Kagome, Kikyo bluntly had spelled it out for him. She knew. She knew she was dying. She knew he needed Kagome. She knew he loved Kagome. Kikyo wanted him to choose Kagome fully.
Kagome never asked him to pick. She wanted him to honor the promise he made to Kikyo and she vowed she would stay by his side. That’s all Kagome ever wanted was to be in his company even if it hurt her. He wanted to tell her for so long how he felt, but couldn’t--not with a promise to protect another woman. Not with a war going on with a malicious dark half demon who wanted nothing but to kill them all.
“Y-yes,” he breathed.
“Will you protect her with your life?”
“That’s not even a question, Kikyo. I already do,” he said more confidently.
“Hmm,” she hummed satisfied.
“Why are you doing this Kikyo?”
“My time is short, Inuyasha. Whether Kagome is here, or there, my body is going to give out. But before that happened I needed to know you were sure.”
“That I would pick her.”
“Above all else,” Kikyo smiled softly. “I would hurry if I were you. The longer you take, the harder it will be to convince her to stay, Inuyasha.” Kikyo turned away and began to walk back into the forest with her soul collectors.
Inuyasha smiled at the undead priestess. She freed him of his vow. He’d broken it too many times to count already racing after Kagome. Kikyo was dead and he knew that. He just wanted her to find peace. He had been in love with Kagome before he even realized it. Her friendship had grown so important to him that when she was gone, he felt like he couldn’t breathe. He wasn’t alive without the young girl from the future by his side.
He had made a declaration with himself when everything was all said and done, Kikyo still alive or not, he would finally confess his feelings to her. He would let Kagome decide where she wanted to be.
Taking off in a fast sprint, he prayed he could beat Kirara to the well.
Kirara had landed by the well just as Kagome had finally pulled herself together out of her stupor. To be fair, she had left without saying goodbye. Just a shake of her head. How could she possibly say goodbye to any of them? Sango was like her sister. They didn’t even need words to be able to communicate. Miroku was like an elder brother. He was wise, offered good advice, and genuinely cared for her well being. Shippo… he was her adopted child. And she was abandoning him. Some mother she was.
And there was… Inuyasha. No words could ever describe her sorrow and pain having to leave him. He was her best friend. While he would never admit it, he needed her. All his actions showed her that. But he also needed her to leave so he could honor a vow he made to Kikyo. It was better to hate her than have him hate himself more… or hate her because it would mean the woman he loved would die.
For her, the solution was simple. She would be that scapegoat for Inuyasha. Anything he needed, she would give him. She loved him. Ultimately, she knew it would end in heartbreak. But it was okay, because he would be happy. What more could she want aside from that? Eventually he’d forgive her, because he would have Kikyo. Eventually he’d forget her and move on...
She fell to her knees by the well and sobbed. She had to remind herself this was for him, not her. She was protecting him. That was all that ever mattered. Him. She was nearly sixteen. She would move on...
Kirara nudged her shoulder and Kagome let out a half-sob, half-laughed and turned to pet her friend, “I’m okay. Please, take care of everyone.”
Kirara roared as Kagome stood and sent her off. She wanted to be alone if only for a moment by the well. Where everything began.
As she turned back to look down the dark abyss, she felt arms wrap around her. She screamed briefly before she realized who had her. Shocked, she swung around to face Inuyasha.
“Wh-wh-WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?!” she yelled.
“WHY ARE YOU YELLING?!” he snarled back.
“I’M LEAVING TO PROTECT YOU, STUPID!” she confessed as tears still rolled down her face uncontrollably.
“It’s MY job to protect YOU!” he growled, gripping her arms tightly.
“No! Your promise was to protect Kikyo!”
“I can’t do that without you!”
“You have to!”
“You swore you would stay by my side!”
“I can’t do that if it makes you break your own promise!!” she argued.
“I can’t keep that promise anymore Kagome…” he said sternly.
“Why?! I’m leaving! I’m making the choice easy on you! I never wanted you to choose so I chose for you,” she trembled and lowered her head but refused to let it rest on his chest. He was already breaking down her walls--she was supposed to have jumped in the well and have left by then. But no--he had to come and try and placate her. She couldn’t allow him to sacrifice his happiness to just appease her.
“And you chose wrong, idiot,” he chastised.
“How did I choose wrong?? I--” she was cut off from the press of his lips against hers. Her face had been forced away from the ground and she had seen the very angry and swirling crimson golden eyes of her best friend before he smashed his lips to hers.
This kiss was not what she expected. It was hard, crushing, furious, demanding and Gods did it make her want to come undone. But she knew she had to stay strong for him. He would regret this decision. Ultimately it would be her to blame for Kikyo’s death.
“Inu--” she said, trying to put distance between them.
“I need you, please,” he said brokenly.
“What?” she gasped.
“I need you. Here. By my side. Please, I--I can’t lose you Kagome.”
“But what about Kikyo?? Inuyasha if I stay she’ll--”
“She’s going to pass on anyway, Kagome.”
The words should have made her feel better but if anything it just broke her heart further. Even if Inuyasha was picking her then, she was just a backup plan. A replacement for the real thing. She struggled to get out of his grasp but he refused to allow it.
“Let me go! I know I promised to be with you but I won’t be her! I’m me!”
“I know you aren’t Kikyo, Kagome! I’ve known that since we started traveling together! Do you think I’m stupid?!”
“Yes!”
He rolled his eyes realizing what poor timing this all was. It honestly wasn’t fair for him to assume she would have been jumping for joy or any of that. He knew why she was reacting the way she was and, damnit, it was his fucking fault.
“Kagome, what can I say or do to prove to you that you were my choice? I just confessed I needed you,” he begged.
“That doesn’t mean you…” she looked down and away from him again, still trying to pull from his grasp.
“I love you, Kagome. I told Kikyo I couldn’t be with her--that I needed to be with you. She knew her body was failing. She wanted our bond to be strong enough to face anything. She… she wanted me to confess to her. To know that I’d protect you with my life, that you were the one I wanted to be with. Kagome, please, I--I can’t lose you.”
“Why wait until now…” was all she could say. She halted in her struggles. She hated she was weak, but her heart had begun to beat heavily as he confessed his feelings for her.
“I wanted to wait until after Naraku was destroyed. Until my promise to protect Kikyo was fulfilled. But I can’t let you go. Don’t leave me,” he said as he sank down to his knees clutching her waist to his face.
She lowered herself slowly, kneeling in his arms back into his embrace and took his face in her hands, “Do you mean that?”
“Idiot… of course I do,” he said blushing as he averted his eyes from her.
“Then… I can stay?”
“As long as you want,” he confessed.
“Forever?” she asked hopefully.
“I’ll never tell you to leave,” he added, crushing his lips back down to hers.

tumblr is dead but I’m gonna post my thoughts on Inuyasha here too for archiving purposes. cw for (non-detailed) discussion of sexual assault and suicide wrt kikyo
OKAY. SO. MY THOUGHTS ON INUYASHA. warning for some INCREDIBLY hot takes.
it. sure was a journey. I am not sure if I liked the series overall or not. It had some legit good/touching moments, but it dragged SO LONG and there were a lot of things I thought could've been handled better. But it was fun liveblogging it for sure. And I got NarKik out of it, which snapped me out of my year-long creative dry spell, so it was at least a net positive time investment LMFAO.
I liked... mmmmost of the characters? sango, sesshoumaru, kagura, kanna, naraku, kohaku, K I K Y O, and even kagome were all Good. On the flipside, Inuyasha himself is FUCKING TERRIBLE and he sucks and I hate him. Emotional immaturity ain't cute, he gets everything handed to him on a silver platter, rarely apologizes for being a selfish prick, and the other characters are WAY too forgiving of his bullshit. I got tired of the tsundere het romance cliches between him and Kagome pretty fast, as well as how often he was jealous of her. Like, Kagome's insecurities over Kikyo I can legit understand (despite being #1 Kikyo Fucker). But whenever she's so much as civil with Kouga and Inuyasha's all HANDS OFF MY WOMAN I'm like... dude shut up you two-timing hypocrite. If You Like It Then You Should’ve Put A Ring On It. Credit where credit is due tho, they did chill out over time and some of their moments together towards the end of the series were legit sweet. I'm pretty meh on Inukag overall, and iffy on the resolution of her moving to his era permanently, but that last panel of him greeting her as she came out of the well gave me a Feel.
(Actually, on that note, it... would have been legit kind of hella if the series had ended with Inuyasha himself permanently moving to the modern era? Aside from their friends he had far fewer attachments in his world than she did hers, and there's so much more potential with him having to adapt to the modern era, lol. ALTERNATIVELY, kikyo lives and she switches places with kagome and makes a new life for herself in the modern era. thus letting her truly live as a normal girl. But I'll Get To Kikyo Later. smh)
The premise of the series is actually pretty strong, though of course you can poke holes in it. To my knowledge it was the first isekai anime that really took off, and the driving plot of collecting the Shikon fragments is excellent monster of the week material (though I'm not really a monster of the week fan myself). Also, youkai are awesome. Focusing the series on real-world mythology makes my Shin Megami Tensei heart very excited.
I know the series runs on emotion rather than logic, but I REALLY have some questions here. The fact that the well is explicitly stated to take Kagome back in time rather than to another world makes no sense at all. First of all, where are all the youkai in the present day? Inuyasha and Sesshoumaru are at least a couple hundred years old, right? What happened to them in that 500 year timespan? Surely some creature or another from the series would have naturally survived that long. So what happened? Was there a mass-youkai extinction somewhere along the line? Shouldn't this be cause for concern? Also, do Kagome's time-traveling actions create a stable time loop or a branching timeline? If Naraku won in the past, how would that affect the present? The two eras are just completely isolated from each other and I really don't get it. That kind of stuff. Yeah yeah I know MST3K mantra and all but MAN this bothers me.
Which brings me to Exhibit A of stuff I think should have gone differently: Kagome should have stayed the protagonist, and the modern era should have gotten more focus. Not as in her day-to-day school shenanigans, but stuff touching on the questions listed above. There's just a lot of untapped potential regarding How This Shit Works, rather than confining the story pretty much entirely to the Sengoku Jidai With Youkai. Also there could be plenty of shenanigans with characters OTHER than Kagome and Inuyasha hanging out in the present. LIKE KIKYO. okay yeah my kikyo bias is showing but it would be the perfect opportunity to 1. hide her from naraku (unless he found a way into the present, but that just ties into my previous point), 2. develop her friendship with Kagome. Which would have done both of them wonders. BUT I'LL GET TO KIKYO LATER. (I'm dying imagining Kagome introducing Kikyo to her schoolmates as her cousin and taking her shopping though..... teaching her how to ordinary human... like..... HHH.)
Anyway, Kagome as the protagonist. She was very much the protagonist at the start of the series--she took a more active role in a lot of the monster of the week conflicts, and just had a lot more focus and screentime in general. Then Inuyasha got his sword upgrades and her role in conflicts became reduced to sensing Shikon fragments and occasional use of arrows. It took until the last hundred chapters for her to get ANY sort of substantial power-up, and it felt... unearned? I had been looking forward to her developing her miko powers alongside Inuyasha's youkai powers, and getting bow upgrades to match his Tessaiga upgrades, but it just... didn't happen. Her miko powers having been sealed all along felt like an ass pull, and I wasn't really a fan of the test of character she had to go through in order to get the fancy bow upgrade being solely focused on overcoming her feelings of jealousy towards Kikyo... again... like it's valid for her to feel that way but we've been here already! Surely there's more to her character than this! I think it would've been awesome if she actually got some fights of her own too, and maybe Kaede and eventually Kikyo mentoring her growth as a miko? But as far as canon went, it just felt like she got shallower and less interesting over time as Inuyasha slowly took over the protagonist role and that was a damn shame. Let Kagome be the plucky isekai protagonist she was always meant to be! This, of course, ties in with my assertion that the modern era should have gotten more focus too.
okay, so. it's time. kikyo. Kikyo. I fucking LOVE kikyo, absolutely my fave chara, I was not expecting to love Kikyo this much lmao. All that ship war propaganda was a big fat lie. She has an ASTONISHINGLY mature narrative about the effect of tragedy and trauma on people and relationships, but it was SO under-utilized and shafted in favor of the Love Triangle and Inuyasha's Manpain and I'm FUCKING UPSET. Kikyo was (or at least had the makings to be) the best character in Inuyasha but she was not done justice at all, in this essay I
Like, sit down and think about it. Here we have a woman who lost her parents at a young age, taking on the responsibilities of her household, and training to be a miko on top of it--which in the world of Inuyasha is a very emotionally demanding position that requires her to basically devote her entire life to her duties, ESPECIALLY once she's entrusted with the Shikon Jewel. All while being required to live a life of asceticism and suppressing worldly desires. In short, she basically never had a chance to actually, like. Live. Keep in mind that she was a child/teenager throughout all this (she was 17/18 when she died). That's a LOT of pressure on someone that young.
At this point, she's understandably lonely and depressed, and then along comes Inuyasha. She falls in love with him, gets a taste of a life that would truly make her happy, and has it ripped away. Like, there's some really fucking dark subtext to the whole Onigumo plot. She shows kindness to a random stranger, who proceeds to make a deal with the devil to LITERALLY RAPE HER, and her life is ruined as a result. No, Kikyo wasn't literally raped in canon, because even though Onigumo wanted to rape her Naraku's intentions towards her were... more complicated if still incredibly fucked up, but good lord the subtext is THERE. And as a result of the ensuing incident, believing Inuyasha betrayed her, she straight up KILLS HERSELF. Yes, it was partly to protect the Shikon Jewel, but she did not want to come back to life. Let that sink in. Kikyo was driven to suicide by an incident incited by a man who took advantage of her kindness in order to rape her. (nostalgia critic voice) FAMILY PICTURE!
I'm not gonna pretend Kikyo was the only victim here, though. Inuyasha has pretty clear PTSD from the event too, even after learning Kikyo is innocent. But through his relationship with Kagome, he begins to heal and move on. Then Kikyo gets brought back as a clay zombie, fucks up his whole grieving process, kickstarts the love triangle, you know the story. Kikyo's perspective is actually really interesting to dig into though. She didn't want to be brought back. She's PISSED. Even when the dust settles and she learns that Inuyasha is innocent, the anger and trauma have changed her. She's got a good ol' dose of PTSD herself. She's colder, harsher, engages in risky/self-destructive behavior, and distances herself from her loved ones. Like, think about it. Was there any logical reason she had to separate from Inuyasha and his group to fight Naraku on her own? To keep them in the dark about why she surrendered the Shikon Jewel to Naraku? No. That's a character flaw on HER part. And all this puts real strain on her relationship with Inuyasha. They still love each other, but their mutual trauma has completely changed their dynamic. Their love is based on their past relationship rather than their present chemistry. They don't make each other happy anymore. Neither of them are at fault for that. That's REAL AS FUCK. That's what trauma DOES to people and relationships.
So, yes, I'm a hardcore Kikyo stan who supports InuKag over InuKik. We exist. InuKik does not work as a relationship in the present because they've both changed due to trauma and that's the GODDAMN POINT. It's not a story about true love, it's a story about moving on from first love. The problem is that Kikyo's character is largely confined to her role as a love rival to Kagome. Inuyasha's side of the InuKik narrative, of letting go of the past and healing, is resolved. Kikyo's is not. And boy, I was ABSOLUTELY FUCKING LIVID that the love triangle was resolved through Kikyo's death rather than Inuyasha just... fucking, PICKING KAGOME OVER KIKYO BEFOREHAND RATHER THAN HER NEEDING TO DIE. She can still die after that! I swear, I'm not just salty because my fave died. At least 70% of my favorite charas are dead. I literally don't care anymore. I'm mad that she was killed off in a way that reduced her to being Inuyasha's Woman rather than getting a chance to heal and grow apart from him, as he did from her. And this in turn cheapens the narrative around why InuKik doesn't work as a present relationship to begin with, because he never actually picks present love over past love! He just keeps committing emotional infidelity until Kikyo gets killed off to wrap things up in a neat little bow with no character growth on his part! This shit is why I hate Inuyasha (the character).
Kagome's kindness towards Kikyo also plays a part in why she softens up by the end, yes, but that kindness is entirely depicted as "I want to save her because she's important to Inuyasha and I love Inuyasha." Kagome's character growth in these moments hinges on her picking love over jealousy, NOT through actually bonding with Kikyo. On top of that, Kikyo saving Kohaku over defeating Naraku struck me as out of character (have to show she's not a bad person after all? which she isn't, but still). It definitely made her death feel even more pointless. How come Kohaku gets to live and not her!!! Seriously, the fact that Kohaku gets to live and Kikyo doesn't REALLY rubs me the wrong way. She barely even knew Kohaku! He was willing to die to defeat Naraku! NOT killing Kohaku to defeat Naraku almost cost MORE lives! It could've been a poignant resolution to her character arc, but there wasn't enough buildup for it to be a convincing decision for her to make.
And oh my god, there's SO much wasted potential here. Kikyo's resentment towards Kagome is super understandable, and it's never really explored. Kagome replaced her. Kagome is filling the role she should have filled. What's even left for her except her hatred of Naraku? She asserts that Inuyasha cannot forget her (her being lowkey possessive of him is *chef kiss* my wife is a bitch and I like her so much), and he doesn't, but she still straight up tries to kill Kagome lmao. Like I said they do reconcile, but it's kinda half-assed. Kikyo's feelings are never explored in-depth. She's never truly given a chance to heal and realize that she does have a place in the world beyond her decaying relationship with Inuyasha and hatred for Naraku. That her scarred, flawed existence is still just as fucking valid as Kohaku or Rin or Jaken being able to live after being brought back from the dead. Like lemme stress again that the girl experienced INTENSE trauma and COMMITTED SUICIDE. The notion that she's the only one who needs to die in order to restore the natural order, that her death is beautiful and tragic but necessary, is..... gross, tbh. :U
Like, she can still die, lmao. IMO it'd be legitimately more interesting if she lived, if she had an opportunity to carve a place for herself outside of Kagome like Kagome did Kikyo, but it IS possible for her to die without it making ME want to die. Just resolve the love triangle shit first, flesh out some of her relationships outside of Inuyasha himself (ESPECIALLY Kagome), show her healing and softening, and then she can die protecting everyone or some shit. That would've been fine. But No. She just gets killed off for the service of Inuyasha's character, so he can hook up with Kagome guilt-free, with NONE of this addressed. Because it's more palatable for a woman to be dead than broken up with, I guess? I Hate It Here, You Guys.
her (near) last words being "I've finally become an ordinary woman" rubbed me the wrong way too... it like, tried to wrap her character arc up in a neat little bow while ALSO entirely confining its resolution to being Inuyasha's Woman and discarding the narrative of trauma driving them apart. I love the narrative of the girl forced to be inhuman who just wants to be normal. This just felt like... a really cheap way to go about doing that, at the disservice of her character being about OLD love, for a forced (and false) sense of closure. Didn't like it. God fucking damn, typing it all out just made me even MORE pissed off.
tl;dr: kikyo had the makings of an amazing trauma survivor narrative but it got shafted. she deserved everything. thank you for coming to my TED talk.
SIGH. okay. there are other characters I wanna touch on too. Uhhh I actually thought Naraku was pretty cool, though he became way less interesting after Mt Hakurei (for the most part--he was cool again during the direct lead-up to Kikyo's death as well as the final battle). His identity crisis was pretty neat, as was the way he specifically targeted other people's emotions and relationships as a way to compensate for his own utter lack of a sense of self. Not to mention the cold, detached way he regards his own emotions ("my pp stands up whenever i look at kikyo, wish it wouldn't do that :/") and how this leads him to succumb to the influence of the Shikon Jewel, in contrast to Inuyasha and Kagome breaking the cycle. His lack of motivation is actually kind of the point, and I think it's neat as hell! Things got boring once The Baby entered the picture, and I got the sense Rumiko wasn't really sure what to do with Naraku for a while. His style of villainy got a lot more distant and "just as keikaku," when it was the way he got up in everyone's business and pushed their buttons for his own shallow amusement that made me like him in the first place. His fragments aside from Kagura and eventually Kanna were way less interesting, and I think it would've been neat to go more into his role as basically being an abusive dad, but it's fine. The Baby was a fucking boring and atrocious villain though, jfc. The /idea/ of Naraku's own heart rebelling against him was cool enough, but it means jack shit when The Baby is just a bland-ass villain who doesn't remotely represent the character traits that make up Naraku's "heart" in the first place, even aside from Kikyo.
Speaking of which, his fixation on Kikyo is a LOT of fun. Their interactions (which he was apparently secretly into), how he rejected his own humanity and destroyed both himself and the object of his desires, etc. Which is another reason he got less fun after Mt. Hakurei tbh. I fucking hate the way Kikyo's death was handled overall but I liked that he had to reclaim his human heart in order to overwhelm and kill her. That was neat. Something something toxic desire destroying both yourself and the person it's directed at. Then at the very end he realized that his entire existence was completely pointless and empty and his complicated feelings towards Kikyo were the only thing that ever made him actually, like, give a shit. Pour one out for this absolute dumbass. He's a relatable villain because I too would go to absolutely insane lengths to get over a girl I never even dated.
Uhh who else. Sango and Miroku. Sango was my favorite character in the main party. She's the most level-headed of the bunch, has a super cute design, and her story with Kohaku was responsible for a lot of the emotional moments in the series that really landed for me. Her friendship with Kagome was actually super cute and heartfelt. That scene early on where she broke down crying in Kagome's lap because she was scared of being alone again HURT. Also, Kirara is fucking precious. Miroku I've got mixed feelings about, since on the one hand he's a legitimately interesting character and some of his scenes with Sango did hit fairly hard, but DEAR GOD I hate the quirky pervert trope with a burning passion. If it were played seriously, I'd stan him to hell and back a la Adachi. But it isn't, so it's not. I've got mixed feelings about MirSan too. Their resolution was really sweet, but I was kinda like "wha" when Kagome said Sango had a thing for Miroku in the first place. Like, sure okay, but I think more time should've been spent showing her falling for him in the first place lol. Also the butt-grabbing joke got old fast. And when he proposed to her and basically refused to stop flirting with other women I facepalmed so hard. Can't have character growth when you have unfunny running gags! To his credit, he did chill out for the most part, but still kept making jokes about flirting/scoring that clearly made Sango unhappy and I'm like. Why. Then the bit with Hirai-Kotsu needing to be fixed. I liked their mutual resolve to protect each other, but I thought Sango's comment about how she couldn't live without him was..... a bit much. Like what about Kohaku??? But anyway I'm just glad Sango got a happy ending even if I'm still super *SQUINTS* at Miroku.
Sesshoumaru was pretty neat, I get why he's popular, though wasn't really My Type. Sure he's cool, but his /personality/ was a bit lacking and I think we should have gotten some more insight into his relationship with his father for how much focus his quest for the Best Sword got. His development was pretty good, but I've kind of got an issue with how Rin was more of a plot device than a character. Like, okay, one of the reasons I decided to start reading Inuyasha was because the announcement of Yashahime sparked a wave of Sessh/Rin discourse and I wanted to form my own take on it. And, yeah okay I don't like Sessh/Rin either and I say this as a certified Nasty, lmao. Less because it's problematic (though I find it kind of offputting myself, even aged-up) and more because it's bland. Rin has no character whatsoever outside of being a vehicle for his development and I'm REALLY not a fan of girls being objects for male charas' development. Still, I'm not gonna boycott Yashahime if Sessh/Rin is canon or anything. I prefer him with Kagura or even Kikyo but they're dead, so. If Rin has to be his cum dumpster to make this happen, then that's how it's gotta be.
Thats about it I think. I'd put it a rung or two above Naruto in terms of overall quality, but BOY am I still mad abt Kikyo. 6/10 probably wouldn't recommend, but it WAS fun.

RANDOM FACTS ABOUT THE MUN!!
Repost, don’t reblog!
NAME: miko NICKNAME: miko is the nickname i use FACECLAIM: alternates b/w hayley kiyoko, ryan potter, and i.m PRONOUNS: they/them HEIGHT: 5′7″ i think? BIRTHDAY: november 17 AESTHETIC: thick blankets, hot tea, music in the background, horror movie on the television, cat & dog curled on legs, comfortable LAST SONG YOU LISTENED TO: currently listening to beautiful by mx but before that it was mansae by svt
FAVOURITE MUSE(S) YOU’VE WRITTEN:
all of my muses are so fun to write? like there’s a reason i’ve made them and it’s b/c i love their concepts, i love them as characters, and they’re fun to write. but my current favorite are the muses over at @infinitycollapsed as their concept is, imo, super dope ? like give me all the uncommon non-human muses please & thanks ? but of course, i very much love writing as parker as, of the muses i’ve written as, he’s the only one that shares the same mbti type, which makes it easy to write and respond
WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO TAKE ON YOUR CURRENT MUSE (THAT YOU ARE POSTING THIS ON):
i’ve been wanting to write as a witch muse for a while now, had even had a basic idea and principle of what he was gonna be all written down, but i was stuck on the fc. at this point, i’d already been listening to mx & as i was watching one of their mvs, it kinda hit me that, hey, kihyun is a really good fc. fits the characteristics i’d had written down and everything and what sealed the deal was seeing a pic of him with his orange brown hair, as that sorta solidified the aesthetic and everything and, voila, parker was born.
WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE ASPECTS OF YOUR CURRENT MUSE:
my favorite aspect of him is how selfless he can be; i’ve written as plenty of morally ambiguous muses, muses who’ve murdered and won’t hesitate to murder again, who have hurt and stolen and are generally bad characters, and parker is one of the handful that don’t have a lot of hurt and pain and angst, as i tend to make my characters ( which i need to not lol ). he’s very giving, very loyal, and i’m very soft for him.
WHAT’S YOUR BIGGEST INSPIRATION WHEN IT COMES TO WRITING
when it comes to writing? that’s a good question. sometimes it’s a plot that i’m super excited about, that i can’t wait to write and respond to. sometimes it’s me in a good mood, when i’m not tired or stressed or anything. sometimes it’s my partners encouragement, and us screaming headcanons about our muses. sometimes it’s music and a quiet place. maybe half of those aren’t exactly inspiration lol but y’know.
FAVORITE TYPES OF THREADS:
all the types of threads !! okay, lemme rephrase that, i am a sucker for fluff and angst, especially. i prefer longer threads as i’m v much a slut for detail and can’t not make my response lengthy, especially since i love describing mindspace and what the muse is feeling at the moment, which i feel can’t come across in just dialogue, y’know? so any sorta multi para thread i am automatically behind. what exactly those thread entail though is dependent on muse & mood. like i am always down for the dark threads but parker isn’t the type to really experience it, y’know? not in the same capacity as, let’s say, my muse who was tortured for a decade by hunters. so it’s all dependent. for parker, specifically, i love threads with other supernatural creatures, with other witches especially, and i am dying for a coven group verse just wink wink nudge nudge
THE BIGGEST STRUGGLE IN REGARDS TO YOUR CURRENT MUSE:
the biggest struggle, as with all of my muses, is maintaining muse, plain & simple. i have an extremely bad habit of slowly disappearing from blogs because muse dies, because something else holds my attention, because life or something else happens. that is the one and only big struggle i have here with parker, as there’s days when i don’t want to log in and check replies and the like. there’s no shortage of headcanons and ideas for him but actually executing those ideas, incorporating those headcanons? it gets difficult some days. but i’m trying like hell to keep this muse alive, especially since he’s new, so hopefully i’ll be sticking around for a while.

Okay I need a scenario of Kagome trying her best to be a moral compass for Crocodile.
I hope I got Crocodile right, hon! Let me know lol
How did she come to work for a person like this? Never in her life did she think she would lower her standards down to the point to work for the enemy of the innocent people: Baroque Works.
All she could day after day was scoff at her own choice of life style. The miko was not proud of it, but being in a foreign land, or in this case, ocean, she had no choice. But at least she was strong enough to know what was right or wrong in the decisions her ‘boss’ made.
Did that mean he listened? Of course not.
Kagome’s eyes scrunched as she saw some of the Baroque followers packing big bags of green powder onto some cargo: Dancing Powder. Her life was laughable; as she remained safe and hydrated inside the casino resting in Alabasta, others were suffering due to her lack of strength to stop one of the Shichibukai: Crocodile.
“Soon, this country will be mine.”
The miko turned her head slightly over her shoulder, seeing the said man sitting behind his desk while puffing out a cigar. Keeping her expression stoic, she noticed the other slender tan woman talking to a few men outside the door of the office: Nico Robin, another woman she still had no information about. Then again, she had no information on the world she resided in.
“What do you think of the Dancing Powder…,” Crocodile inhaled as his eyes landed on the miko’s back, “Kagome.”
Her eyes returned on the Shichibukai; she wanted nothing more than to question his true motives or at least beat some sense into him. But he had ‘saved’ her from dying out in the sea. As much as she hated to admit it, Crocodile gave her a place to live.
But that itself was suspicious. After observing the man, she could tell he was not one to take just anyone in, especially when knowing only Nico Robin was the only one who knew about his true identity within his own organization.
“It’s evil.” She spoke, turning her attention back towards the window in front of her. “I already told you, Crocodile-sama: get rid of it.”
He laughed; he raised a brow. “You think it’s evil? It’s saving this country.”
“In what way?” Kagome questioned back. “All you are doing is giving them rain, but that won’t last long.” Her eyes met his amused gaze. “It will create a revolution.”
The corner of his lips lifted into a smirk. “Exactly.”
Restraining herself from cringing at his lack of sympathy on the innocent people of this country, Kagome nodded slowly and turned back to the window. She could see Crocodile’s reflection, making her stare back. “I work for you, Crocodile-sama, but that doesn’t mean I have to agree with your plans. If there comes a time that I can stop you…I will.”
Leaning back on his chair, his chest vibrated with his chuckle. “You are lucky you are useful, woman, or you would be dead now.”
She was not sure what he meant by ‘useful’, but if that meant she could use it to her advantage, she would be patient to find that perfect moment to stop Crocodile.
