I have had to unfortunately deface (hot glue the chains together) the white rainbow dragon I got from you because it kept breaking and giving me mini-panic attacks every time I noticed that it fell… sorry about that. 😅

That pin in particular seems rather breakable, though. How’s the testing you said you were doing going?

In terms of what you're describing, which is the jump ring (the single metal loop that connects the acrylic charm to the chain), coming loose when a keychain is pulled or yanked, glue or tape will not work. Hot glue will not work either.

Jump rings failing is one of the most common problems people encounter when they wear a certain accessory on the daily. It's typically a result of everyday wear and tear, and it is easy to fix.

The easiest type of repair that will work, if you don't want to repair or replace the jump ring (link: video tutorial for opening jump rings), is removing the jump ring entirely and replacing it with a small split ring, which are harder to open, but more durable. You can watch a video of it here, in order to to learn how to do the repair yourself.

If you're not sure of the difference between the two, here's another video comparing the different types of connector rings and how to open them.

After you've taken the jump ring off the charm and attached the new split ring, you can reattach the old chain or use a new chain/clasp if you want, and the keychain should be much more durable than before.

(Note: don't use a split ring instead of a jump ring when it comes to actual jewelry, but it's fine for an acrylic charm.)

my last minute thoughts on this event,

There'd be a way to save every single egg. No scripted deaths, no ultimatum between saving one egg and dooming another. That isn't to say that it's going to be a walk in the park though, with the most vital egg-defense, N.I.N.H.O., being rendered obsolete (as im sure they're being taken to a different server meta-wise) they're in more danger than ever.

It'll be a team event, with 7 teams comprised of 4-5 islanders, each with an egg to save. Teams will be assigned based on the ticket numbers (e.g. bagi, carre, bad, and pierre will be a team), or alternatively, going off of the theory of Dante's purgatory, what deadly sin they've commited the most, or something like that idk.

The islanders won't be able to take any of their items to purgatory, outside of possibly their mini-mes. The eggs also wont have their accessories, making it so the islanders have to use their knowledge on the eggs to figure out what egg they're trying to save. It'll be a multi-day event lasting for like a week, maybe two.

I think the teams will be further split into 7 different islands, or one really Big island that has many biomes in it; the egg teasers kind of hint to this with the egg's accessories being shown in different biomes.

When you die in purgatory you'll be sent back to Quesadilla Island. With the prospect of coming back by getting another ticket through the dice game. (I can't think why else that dice game would exist, besides establishing that whoever is behind this treats it like it's a game).

Cucurevil appearance (MANIFESTING !!!). We'll learn a lot more about the faction associated with them and the black concrete.

How To Dress Like A Shoujo Girl

since spring is here i thought i’d do a little guide on outfit inspo for shoujo girl spring. this may be a little long and i plan on (if this does ok) making this a series on my blog 🫶🏻

this post will be split into sections based on top half, bottom half, dresses and accessories, i hope you enjoy!

Top Half

in terms of tops you want to look for items that have a lot of frill, floral and lace details. Blouses, vests and camis are a must, as these items have a romantic feel to them. Cardigans and knitwear are also a good add on for layering as they have a warm and cozy feeling to them while being both cute and practical. Tops with collar details are also a good idea as they recreate the preppiness of many shoujos.

Here are a couple pieces i think really fit the vibe.

Bottom Half

On your bottom half i would recommend mostly wearing skirts, but i will be giving options for jeans and shorts. Layered/ruffled skirts should become a key item of your outfit, whether that is maxi or mini and once again stick with floral patterns, lace or frills. If you want to wear shorts or jeans i would recommend going for something with details on them, either ruffled shorts or jeans with embellishments. A dress/long top layered over the jeans would be very adorable too!!

Dresses

For dresses i will keep this part pretty short as a lot of the details are things I've brought up already. In terms of dress style i would recommend a lot of cutesy sundresses, babydoll dresses and maxi dresses, as long as its cute and flowy it will work.

Accessories

For accessories you can add as many or as little as you feel. I think the things you see most are bows, pearls and flowers but anything cutesy works. Bags are also a key thing with most shoujo girls either having a mini backpack or a small handbag, once again though whatever you feel works best for you. Leg warmers are also something i would recommend, as they are a simple way of elevating any outfit to become more cutesy.

Some places i would recommend buying from if you're into this style is Peiliee Shop, Vinted, Urban Outfitters or H&M. The best places to get inspiration for this style are Pinterest, your fav anime girls and fruits magazine.

Mini Painting - Terminator Accessories

During lockdown I bought a set of the Terminators from Space Hulk, which included some additional objective markers. I also split Leviathan with a friend so had this teleport homer to paint. Figured I'd get them boxed off first.

Hello! I am not plural and the characters I am writing aren't exactly original, rather, they are an interpretation of an already existing one that gets referred to by two different names, which sometimes get interpreted as plurality. I am quite fond of the idea, but from what I've seen, the fandom usually gravitates towards just two alters in their system, which is not in any way wrong, however I would like to make them more similar to my friends who are systems. The story is happening in an alien world, where the closest equivalent to humans is still very different, but the story mainly focuses on the giant semi-biological supercomputers they left behind. Naturally, their plural experience is probably very different from one of a system in real life, and I apologize if that complicates things… How their plurality functions is that a supercomputer's mind is made out of thousands of processing units, powerful mini-brains, all constantly processing and exchanging information, like a human brain but in zero gravity and essentially infinitely larger. The origin of system that I am writing is a condition that causes their processing units to struggle to exchange information as smoothly as intended, often clumping in separate groups, the groups may fall apart and redistribute to the rest of the supercomputer, or stay together long enough to, essentially, split a new alter. Due to just how large the processing power of the system's brain is, all of the alters are conscious at once, however some of the processing units will still be exchanged inbetween alters automatically, leaving some in a more dissociative state from time to time. They all don't share the same memories, but can create logs and manually exchange and copy the memories into another alter's memory, though they usually don't do it unless it's something important like scheduling or simulation results. The supercomputers don't exactly have a body in the traditional sense, though they do have an avatar their creators used to anthropomorphize them and act as a sort of output, like how monitors output some of the computer's data. They only have one avatar as their plurality wasn't intended by their creator. They cannot really customize it since they probably don't have a way to get any paint, accessories, or anything similar for their metal plating without the help of their creators, who are gone, however they can project holograms on top of the avatar with some of the details of an alter's preferred appearance (Headspace appearance? Would that be an accurate term?), but they don't usually do that. I guess the closest equivalent to fronting would be that since a supercomputer has only one "user", which means if they want to communicate with other supercomputers, all of the alters can have one "account" in each broadcast group/private broadcasts/etc., and the broadcast system cannot be modified so there can not be a Pluralkit/Tupperbox equivalent, which creates difficulties either always having to clarify who is speaking or only restricting certain groups to be used by a specific alter. A lot of the alters either don't speak in groups at all or only lurk, but 4-6 (haven't landed on a solid number yet) front quite frequently. I apologize for the amount of text…I would talk about each of active alter's arc, their relationships with each other and how they cope with the major event that happens in the plot, but I am afraid I've already given too much material to work on. I am worried whether the depiction of plurality in this system inside a supercomputer is respectful and if something is missing

It took a few read throughs, but what I processed of that, that definitely seems respectful so far, and like you've thought it out a ton! There's the line of logic as to how they form, function, and attempt to express themselves. And especially hearing that there's an arc for at least several of the alters that are all distinct, there's the added individuality that can add to a story a lot!

(For any future asks on this one specifically, something to note the different bullet points like a - or something like that would be Very helpful in breaking up the text and making it easier to process.)

hello! I saw your post about the G5 Hitch toy and as someone whose interest in G5 is only surface deep ATM but wants to know more bc My Little Pony is my special interest I was curious about the different lines of toys that have been released for G5. I have that exact Hitch toy as pictured, minus accessories, that I picked up in a thrift shop as a set with the rest of the ponies from the first movie and while I assumed that that was the standard size pony now I'm curious if there are different lines with different sizes. Hi there! MLP is my special interest too, LOL! You found the right person!! But you're in for a long answer, which you are probably prepared for, come to think of it!

tl;dr: There's multiple sizes, and the most common release seems to be the "brushable"/3" size, with the next biggest being the "styling size"/6".

It's tricky to 'officially' categorize the G5 line in general, I think, because it seems like every release is - IDK, maybe I'm just not in tune with the fandom stuff, but it's kinda random!? For starters though, Strawberry Reef is often a very good resource, although I know during the G4 line she fell behind a bit!

It does look like she has (almost) everyone covered so far, to my understanding!

In my mind, I kind of split them up into the "standard" line (the little guys with the jointed legs, the first line was released as the Crystal Adventure line I believe!), which would have been called the 'brushables' in the G4 line, but ... these all have sculpted hair! T_T And then there's some variations, like the Dollar General singles which do have brushable hair (yay!) except for Hitch, but they have no jointed legs. Strawberry Reef calls these "Regular Size 3"" which does imply that they're the 'standard' release.

And then I call the bigger ones (Strawberry Reef's "Large Size 6"") the styling size, because back in G4 days they were called that due to typically coming with a lot of styling/accessorizing type accessories. The little brushables might come with a comb or pet, but the big ones would get comb, clips, elastics, etc. (Not to be confused with the styling heads, of course, which you can see down at the bottom of SR's page!)

I believe (correct me if I'm wrong!) that the "movie set" of the 6" guys came in a big multipack with all of the characters, Mane Five and Sprout, and the way to tell Hitch apart is whether his hair is flocked or not. SR doesn't have him listed yet (so she is a little behind!), but the one I just got at the 99 Cent Store has flocked hair (and more accessories), and Hitch (and Sprout) from the group set from 2021 (as listed on SR's site) do not have flocked hair.

And that's not even getting into the Ponyville/Blind Bag/mini sized ones!! lmao!

ANYWAY, that was a big info-dump, but I hope it helped you and maybe anyone else who is confused! When I say styling size, that's mostly just me using a holdover from the G4 collector terms, since I don't think they call them that now. I think it's just like ... 'Sparkle Adventures'? But then they call the big multipack 'Shining Adventures', so I don't think there's any consistency there yet for collectors to latch onto. But there's several different sizes to find, and there's even GIANT ones, if you scroll down on SR's page! She has lots of fun info! Happy hunting!

Hi, sorry long reply ahead. I despise how lore olympus treats , well, most of its characters/races. But what baffles me the most is how it treats nymphs as second class citizens. The nymphs in mythos ,while not as powerful , were still considered gods/deities. They were literal children of the gods and could be dangerous i. f crossed. I don't see nymphs use any powers as often as the "gods" do. Which is a real missed opportunity. They are basically colorful long lived humans at this point.

And I don't see why marrying one was considered "lower " in l.o because plenty of major gods married them in myth. I don't get the "i have to marry a fellow god" mentality some characters have. Amphitrite was a nymph, one of dubious consent in myth because posiden was gonna start if she didn't agree to marrige (last I checked.)

Hephestus married one after he and Aphrodite split.(slight veer ,I wanna tie in that Aphrodite was always forced to marry Hephestus, she was presented as prize for him. I don't feel sorry for him that she strayed. I actually prefer him divorcing dite then going to marry a nymph later. That could have been a subversion of how sometimes its better to end a relationship and find a healthier one than to try and keep it going. And it could be a critique of forced marriages and why zues [interfering parties] shouldn’t be in charge of them 🤔. I hate that whole , "dite realized ares wasn't good for her, so she left him for Hephestus." modern retelling because it sweeps Hephestus wrongs for the forced union under the rug as well as dite's preexisting relationships. Buuut I digress.)

Metis in some myths is a Nymph. An oceanid if I recall correctly... (ocean nymphs are done so dirty in this comic two, some were changed to flower nymphs for NO reason... rip Leuce, Metis, there's more I'm sure)

But we don't see that, we don't see how strong they can be too. These are mini nature goddesses for Pete sake. What is with the nymph slander in this comic?

And how they are talked down! Amphitrite probably has seen so much slander even from fellow goddesses. And we don't see any commentary on that from her perspective, it comes across as overlooking. Nymphs are fetishized as well as looked down on and it does unaddressed in this comic because its portrayed as a class thing rather than racism... well it could be considered both, but this comic comes across as anti-labor and classiest sometimes.

Why aren't they portrayed with more complexity and power? Daphne is a straight up hypocrite but still looks like a victim by narratives standards. So she isn't called out for her actions while Minthe is.. Minthe had complexity, yet she was still downplayed, victimized, and sympathetic, and rather than play on her complexity, she was villainized ,overly punished, and tossed to the side. I still feel worse for her than i ever will persephone. All nymphs here are accessories and temporary props. Which is sad cus some nymphs were very important in mythos. They're just constant overlooked victims in this work and it crushes me cus their lore is fascinating.
