Harry’s carefree smile flashed in Tom’s mind, while he was cradling the bleeding broken body close to himself, hissing at anyone trying to come close.

The street around them was charred, the ruined houses crumbling, acrid smoke rising into the sky, and several mangled bodies lying thrown on the cratered road like ragdolls.

Tom was blind-sided, angry and afraid, the complicated emotions swirling in a dangerous storm. He’s been enraged and scared before, but never had it escalated to that point.

And he’d never felt like that for… someone else.

Fingers trembling, Tom applied first aid spells and cast another diagnostic on unconscious Harry in his lap. Everything else could wait.

actually I think the thing about being a youth leader is that 25% of it is teaching about God, 25% is playing fun games, and more than that though 50% of it is making a safe space for kids to be. not to try and make them believe, not so they'll be open or anything. just. a 100% no stakes, safe place for them to just BE. whatever else comes after that. and I don't just mean physically safe, two-adults-in-the-room-at-all-times, et cetera. I mean emotionally safe. I mean not hitting them over the head with scripture, not trying to help them feel better or any particular way. just... a no-judgment, emotionally safe place to exist as kids.

Not only does Alan Ritchson walk away from The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare the MVP (rivaled only by Danny Sapani IMO), but he gets to openly and outrageously flirt with Henry Golding’s character for exactly *one* scene and in such a way that should power many an explicit fanfic on AO3.

What is Virgil's day like as a deacon?

Schedule can vary but generally their day consists of:

working as Secondo's personal assistant. this consists of things like errands, reading his emails out and typing his responses, and being a glorified google searcher. they also typically get lunch together but not all the time.

in the afternoon they move to their studies. this consists mostly of scripture and the artes prohibitae. they find somewhere to hole up so nobody can bother them.

they're supposed to also be studying music but they. do not like doing that. they view themself as more of a scholar than a performer. they want to be an anchorite. they will not be allowed to be an anchorite.

if they have free time, they work on caring for their fungi. mostly they grow them in jars in their room, but some are in the gardens. so despite everything about them, they do get fresh air haha.

generally i'd say they're pretty busy!

am i the only one whos still confused about wtf was going on between quirrellmort and snape in the first book/movie? because as far as voldemorts aware, snape is his spy, working for dumbledore, but still loyal to the dark (ok maybe not loyal loyal since he isnt searching for his lord but still)

is voldemort not suspicious when snape corners quirrell and says that hes keeping an eye on him??? when snape saves harry??

the only reason i can think of why voldy thinks snape is doing this but still loyal is bc he thinks dumbledore is ordering/blackmailing him into protecting the stone and snape just thinks quirrell is some guy

but also, why didnt voldy just order snape to get the stone for him?? hes supposedly loyal, and unless voldemorts ego is so big that he cant ask for help despite leaching off quirrell and literally being the more dependant man on earth, i cant fathom why not

idk their whole dynamic is just weird, if you think about all the times snape cornered quirrell, who had the Dark Lord on the back of his head, and did nothing
