Just watched a Late Show but where Emily Blunt was talking about how Chris Nolan hates Ugg boots, so I looked up Ugg boots to see how much they cost and stuff, and they look pretty nice??

There's different styles, they range from fashionable to utilitarian, and I really like them

This is the classic Ugg boot, yeah? What's wrong with that? Looks comfy. Looks cozy. The suede is a bit impractical for winter weather, but what else is new, fashion stuff is impractical all the time

Idk. I like them. I don't get the hate

They're even not that expensive, as far as brand name footwear goes! Maybe I'll save up for a pair, I do need new boots

Not only does he wear socks with sandals, they're special high spec walking sandals that he can go hiking in. They cost about as much as his Carhartts do and the comfort metrics are all maxed. Nik gave up and admitted that John has his own style many years ago, but he walks around in bare feet all the time - even hiking - just to rankle him.

Also, yeah, I can see him being fastidious with the sunscreen. That guy has sun damage all over his face and he now religiously wears a boonie hat and a shemagh. Those are the trauma mechanisms of a man that once got burned so badly in the Sahara that he was hospitalised with heat stroke. He's there slathering that factor 50 on Simon's pale cheeks in the most unerotic manner while rattling off MoD stats on soldiers lost to heat and sun-related injuries.

It's like that couples meme where the woman is creaming up her hubby like a kid before he goes off and plays in the sea, but it's your middle-aged CO in a bucket hat and aviators.
