We're very excited to announce that the interest check for this LMK zine is now open! The interest check will run from now until August 31st, please let us know your thoughts so we can get this thing moving along :)

"But what is this zine about?" we hear you ask! Well, it's essentially to thank and acknowledge those who created the show, and to those who continue to work on it! These silly little characters are not easy to animate, and it takes quite the talented team to be able to do so. FlyingBark passed the torch to WildBrain, and we're eternally grateful that this story can continue due to their tough decision to switch animation studios. This zine is a little "Farewell and thank you to those who came before us, and welcome in those who took on the challenge for our small but mighty fanbase". 

There's no particular theme to this zine, really just anything LMK related can be included- from fanart, screenshot redraws, writing pieces, etc.,!

hey! if you're a voidian, you've probably found this blog because i sent a link to it. if you're not a voidian, i don't know why or how you're here, and i don't really care, but stick around for a while maybe?

anyway, this is the ask blog for the character named spooky. if you have a question for me, the mod of this blog, address it to ollie. it'll just make things easier for all of us.

the purpose of this blog is twofold: one, it will be another concrete piece of void lore, something easy to keep track of and look back at. two, it's an easy way for every voidian to interact with the lore of the gods and all that junk.

the blog has a secret third purpose, of course, which is that i thought it'd be a fun way to test out making an ask blog! i wanna do something more concrete with some life seri/es junk later, but obvi that's not now because, if you're a voidian, you know i'm busy.

anyway! if you want to send in an ask as your void character, make sure you're off anon. other than that, enjoy :)

(if you aren't in the void, it's just a discord server that has lore. this blog is made to facilitate that lore between friends. don't be afraid to stick around though!)

Happy Halloween!!!! to celebrate, here's Edelwood trees!

Spawning rarely in all types of forest biomes, with an elevated chance in roofed forests, these trees consist of a single thick trunk with sprawling underground roots and mangey branches.

Since these trees do not drop saplings, as they only have bare branches, you will need to harvest one of the root blocks and kill a mob on top of it to grow a new Edelwood tree.

Sometimes, while in the forest near one of these trees, you may hear a strange sound. If you check the tree, you may find that it has some sticky, oily substance on its bark; this can be harvested and used to make soul lanterns and torches, or turned into black dye. In the future, we may add more correlation to other dyes to this tree; for now, it is a renewable easy source of black dye.

I’m still not sure if this will actually happen, but I’ve been daydreaming about how Rot Merged Pebbles would work as a modded character. And even if this mod doesn’t become a reality – the brainstorming I’ve been doing on his states and abilities will still be useful for other things.

States and abilities are listed below the cut. (Warning – it gets a little creepy in some parts.)

Diet / Eating habits:

He has a total of 9 food pips to fill – 8 base requirement pips, and 1 storage pip.

The rot’s acid is strong enough that he can swallow and digest nearly anything… However, he will refuse to eat explosives, spears, pearls, and neuron flies. (He refuses to eat explosives and spears out of fear of injuring himself, he won’t eat pearls because he doesn’t want to destroy them, and his violence taboos prevent him from committing cannibalism via eating neuron flies.)

While he can eat basically anything – meat is the most satiating for him. Small prey is often swallowed whole as a result of the rot’s gluttonous instincts infecting his mind.

If he enters starvation – the rot will knock him unconscious and take control of his body in its desperation to feed. It will indiscriminately consume all life it can get its tentacles on, and will only relinquish its control once its hunger is satisfied. (Blue X pupils will form in his eyes when the rot takes control.)

Combat and Movement:

He can use his tentacles to grab and pull in prey or enemies to bite them. His bite deals 2.45 points of damage. (This move can backfire if the target has enough health to survive his initial attack.)

He can switch between walking on his legs, and walking on his tentacles. (Standard movement when on legs – DLL movement when on tentacles.)

He can use his rot to hold three items of any type on his back.

Most creatures are frightened by his rot. (This functions similarly to holding a vulture mask.)

His spear throws deal 1.25 points of damage. (Same as hunter.)

He can’t drown, as he does not need to breath.

He has a durability mechanic; it’s basically a health bar – most damage won’t instantly kill him, it will only drain his durability. He only dies when his durability runs out, or if he’s hit by something that completely destroys him. He can also struggle free from grasps at the cost of durability. His durability replenishes after sleeping.

Extra gimmicks:

He starts in his puppet chamber, next to his broken off umbilical. He’s in the endgame version of Rivulet’s world state.

If you take the music pearl with you – it will appear in the sleep screen along with its music. You can also activate it at any other time you want.

He starts with very low scavenger reputation.

Pebbles can read pearls. He also contributes to conversations when interacting with other iterators. If you sit him down next to Moon, she will hug him and hold onto him for as long as you stay still.

He’s being followed by a large number of his and Moon’s overseers.

We wanted to share some extra prompts and headcanons related to our Bylerween themes! We will be posting these here and there as we get closer to our Bylerween event.

These are to help inspire anyone interested in participating in Bylerween (feel free to work off of these ideas!)… or just for anyone in a spooky Byler mood as we're approaching October. 😈🎃🗡️🧛

Day 1: Horror AU

Dexter AU: Mike is a serial killer that kills other serial killers, working for the police department under Hopper. Hopper, however, believes something's off about him, especially since Mike is dating his son Will, who is not only Mike's childhood best friend but also a survivor of a serial killer named the Shadow Monster.

Bones and All AU: Will has a hunger in him that normal food can't satiate. It's hard on his family, knowing that trauma and Lonnie's genetics is the reason for Will's acquired taste. To stop being a burden, Will leaves and hitch hikes with fellow eater Mike Wheeler, while they evade another eater nicknamed Vecna that wants Will's companionship.

True Blood AU: Mike and the rest of the human world know that vampires exist, live among them, and also do business with them in this modern AU. Mike inherits his Nana Wheeler's large Southern Gothic house and encounters the mysterious vampire Will.
