fucking so weird to have another brush with psychosis, this one much more pronounced and severe than my last episodes. I always expected I'd have another psychotic break due to stress, that I'd develop schizophrenia in my 20s (I still could I guess?). Instead it's due to a tiny pill, not even for my mental health but for allergies. This tiny thing warped my brain for a month, changed my personality, my beliefs. Made me hear things made me see things. Sucked me into a black hole. I came out with fractured memory and my life fucked up. Hopefully not beyond repair, but it's BAD right now man. Really fucking bad. I am saddled with the knowledge that if I had been prescribed this while living alone, I would have ended my life almost certainly. This terrifies me. I don't want to die. I could have.

It's like someone came in fucked up my life and left, except that someone was me under the influence of a drug I never should've been prescribed. It has a black box fda warning for mental health, psychosis and suicidality. It isn't supposed to be prescribed to patients with serious mental health histories. I should have never been given it.

And here I sit, two months away, traumatized again by the medical system, having to rebuild my relationship with my partner from the ground up. This is sick this is fucked up. This should not have happened.

If you have asthma and you take the medication Montelukast/ Singulair listen up!!!

I've been dealing with severe asthma since I was a toddler. When I was 2 years old I was prescribed Montelukast. In my almost 20 years of life, I have had suicidal thoughts, major depressive disorder, anxiety, hallucinations, and irregular moods.

Who knew the medication I've been taking for 18 years has all of these side affects.

I highly recommend talking to your doctor and doing some research if you take Montelukast. I'm posting this not to scare people, but as a person who had no idea what the medication I take really does. I was never warned about this by my doctors. My suicidal ideation and thoughts, along with my other problems, have been reported and documented for years. Yet no one ever wondered, because I didn't know to ask.

I am not a doctor. Don't just stop taking Montelukast. Talk to your doctor!!

i have asthma triggered by exercise so i really have no clue what other types of asthma are like. but with that, i imagine mickey would play a more passive role in his familys antics, getting his cousins and siblings to do all his dirty work. he commits lots of drive-bys. no running in this universe bitch! im kinda poor and even spending the few bucks on an emergency inhaler has become futile bc it ends up expiring without getting used and i forget to take it with me anyway. so i think mickey definitely has the same mindset of "yeah imma just avoid triggers and if something happens guess ill die 🤪"

mickey is never beating the pillow process allegations so thats not very different from canon 🤭

i hate the idea of mickey being unable to smoke simply bc 1. smoking sexy and homoerotic 2. he would definitely chew instead and i cant handle that level of nasty redneck-ness 🤢

honestly still so wild to me that one of the most commonly prescribed pills for asthma/allergies is just, like, this’ll work but please be aware of any psychotic breakdowns you might have while using….like modern medicine, pleasssseee come up with something better than this lmao
