Going Supernova

The GIW have discovered his identity, and they don't waste time on using this knowledge to their advantage. They spent the last six months creating a weapon that not only hurts ghosts but absolutely obliterates them down to their very cores. After testing it for so long on minor ghosts and then discovering the local ghostly menace's secret, they have the bright idea to make an example out of Danny.

They ambush him as he's fighting the invading ghost of the day. Their first shot misses and hits the ghost they're fighting. As soon as the shot lands, the ghost freezes in place with a look of dread and horror.

They look up at Danny with tears in their eyes and has only a few precious seconds to say, "Run," before their skin cracks and they shatter, the miniscule shards evaporating into nothingness.

Danny is petrified and grief-stricken over what he just witnessed that he doesn't have the time to even twitch before the GIW lock their sights back onto him and shoot him in the back.

Agony consumes him. His chest burns, and his ribs rattle with the effort it takes for him to breathe through the pain. The civilians who were still on the scene gasped in horror as they watched their local hero's chest start to crack and glow from within.

What the GIW didn't know was that Danny had just recently elevated to Ancient status due to helping Clockwork with the timestream. That and with his status as a halfa, what they did will end in nothing but disaster. (1)

Danny spots his parents, sister, and friends in the crowd. His parents watched in awe and excitement while his Jazz, Sam, and Tucker looked at him with horror-stricken disbelief. Knowing what's to come and not having enough time to explain, he gives them a wobbly smile.

"I'm so sorry."

He whips around and rockets straight up into the sky. He breaks through the atmosphere in a matter of seconds and continues to fly at breakneck speed away from the little green-blue planet he calls home. He has to get away. He can't destabilize so close to them. He has to go even further.

His form is steadily breaking off into pieces as his human and ghost half fight and fail to keep him together. He can feel his human half dying and his ghost half barely holding on by a thread. He can't stop, though. If he stops here, the Earth will be destroyed from the backlash.

He had no worry for himself. After all, stars die all the time. That doesn't mean that's the end for them. They just take on a new form or even help breathe new planets and galaxies into life.

'A star's death is not the end!' He comforts himself.

He only makes it a few light-years further before his energy fades out to nothing, and he slows to a halt. It's only then that Danny starts to panic alone in the vacuum of space. The furthest he's even been from home and the comfort of his friends and family.

"No. No, no, no, no." He repeats over and over. "Not far enough. Not far enough! I'm still too close!!" (2)

His stuttering heart rabbits inside his chest along with his crumbling core. He hugs himself tight with the false hope that maybe that would stop himself from falling apart. He cries for his family, his friends, his planet. His life and lives he's about to take through no fault of his own.

Because for a star to give life, they must first destroy. (3)

"I'm sorry. I-I'm so sorry! Please!"

He sobs into his hands as the light of his core pulses one final time.

"Please." He whispers brokenly.

His core shatters, and he screams for the entire cosmos to hear. His form expands with immeasurable force and shakes the very foundations of creation. His desperate attempt to spare the Earth from his self-destruction was in vain as the waves of his shattered core ravaged the solar system and destroyed everything within its path.

The countless people and other creatures on Earth didn't even have time to blink before they were completely eradicated. Quick and painless but nonetheless gone.

It took centuries for everything to settle again.

It wasn't until countless millennium passed that the solar system began to take shape again. However, everything was reshaped and put back together as though with a child's memory of what it used to be from so long ago. Some things were bound to be different, like how Mars gained its own population of intelligent humanoid creatures. How Earth's own population started to develop extraordinary abilities and magic was able to be used more freely outside of supernatural species.

Soon, there were heroes popping up all over the universe of all shapes, sizes, and species. Some people were even reborn. They started remembering a life that, as far as they knew, never actually existed. How could it? None of the people they were before showed up in any records. There were records, of course. They just, unfortunately, no longer existed.

No one knew why, either. At least not until a magic user stumbled upon a tome belonging to what they knew as the Underworld. It told the story of a young boy who died too young and was destroyed from what he became afterward. How his destruction also destroyed the world despite the boy's efforts to save it.

This story was shared with the masses of people experiencing these memories of other lives, including the heroes who took up the mantle of keeping the Earth and other corners of the galaxy safe. They mourned the loss of a life so young, so bright and full of potential. They hoped that wherever the child ended up, that they were at peace.

Little did they know, the child was part of the universe itself, his very being woven into the fabric that makes up the night sky and everything that lays beyond. They can't see or hear him, but that precious child--the Ancient of Space--laid curled around the Milky Way itself with Earth cradled gently in his trembling hands.

(1) Because of his status as the new Ancient of Space and the fact that he is half human/alive is the reason his destabilization took longer than the ghost he was previously fighting. An Ancient has immense power of the aspect of reality they control, and his human half was desperately trying to keep him alive. He can't live without his ghost half, though. It was also the power of his Ancient status that made his destabilization so explosive and damaging. However, him being a halfa is also what saved his existence in the end and allows him to still continue to be the Ancient of Space, as Space itself is always in a state of dying and rebirth. It just took several thousands of years to pull himself back into a semblance of what he previously was, but obviously irrevocably changed.

(2) According to scientists a supernova would have to be within 30-50 light-years to trigger a mass extinction on Earth. To be actually completely safe from one, however, it'd have to be 160 or more light-years away. Danny didn't even make it to 20 light-years before his core self-destructed, which is why he was panicking.

(3) As I'm sure most of you know, supernovae are essential to creating life, but that life is preceded by the death of said star.

(*) I haven't really thought of who would be reborn into which character. I originally thought of Jack Fenton being reborn as Bruce Wayne, but Bruce only disguises himself as a himbo while Jack actually is one. The only reason I thought it would work out it because 1) Jack's paranoia about ghosts and translating into Bruce's own paranoia 2) him regaining his past memories would explain his propensity to collect black-haired, blue eyed children because of his loss of Danny and 3) him and his relationship with Jason after he came back as Red Hood.

Other than that, I can't think of who any of the other characters might be. You can decide!

don’t mind me I’m still mourning all of the alternative universe Arthurs that Kayne called failures, took and forced them into his orchestra,,, how much did they go through before becoming a ‘failure’. Where did they all fall. What did they all experience before this, what happened to them to make them a failure. And after that. We get a glimpse in Benevolent how Kayne treats alternate Arthurs. What has he put all these through? He says it’s needed a ton of work/practice to make his song,, what did those practices look like. How did he treat them all? How did he force them to participate? Can he even threaten them, if they’ve already lost everything? Did he promise them even more pain? Or instead did he hold the lives of loved ones over their heads? Offer them a restart, a chance to go back and save the life they had?

Were they even conscious/physically and mentally able to see what was happening around them, or had they been conditioned/put through too much, only able to concentrate on their instrument and playing, overwhelmed with fear of failure and punishment thereafter.

Could they see this Arthur, standing up to the thing that’s been torturing them for so long, not obeying his direct commands,, did any of them want to step out and warn him? Did they feel anything at all,, if they were even able to watch that all go down? Would they even care if Kayne ended the world, reshaped it, whatever, cause they’re all in hell anyway? They’ve all lost EVERYTHING. and now they’re reduced to nothing, a background track to their cruel master’s victorious monologue.

what happened to them after all this (do we know? I don’t remember). Did he just kill them all? and if he did. is that what they would have wanted anyway. were they all there just waiting for their time to be up, to stop being wanted for their usefulness as instruments and finally be allowed to end. Or does Kayne not even care enough for that, does he just leave them to wander in this foreign land, ground covered in the gore of another one of their own. would he just leave them to try and fend for themselves, to pick up the scraps of what’s left of themselves and attempt to find some kind of life. if he did that. would they even try to move on. or would they genuinely just want to die. are they all dead, either way, and is that what they would have wanted all along

Wait did both Alice and Zane record Alan when he was at his lowest point? Didn't Alice make her exhibition to show the world what she sees? To show Alan the truth about himself? That it never was Scratch visiting and terrorizing her, but Alan himself? Did she depict his "self" and Zane depicted his "persona"? The two sides of him that he wishes he can eliminate bc they brought him into trouble (Scratch representing anger and the fallouts with paparazzi and stuff, Zane representing his self-destructive behavior with alcohol and drugs and the party nights)? The both sides that caused his marriage to start falling apart? Was that the reason Zane made that video of Alan when they were on that booze and drug-fueled bender while working on the Return manuscript? Is this party video the companion piece?? Alan's downward spiral, same as Alice's photos? Do they fucking work together aasdffjfjfkfk

this one isn't gonna be that long cuz I can't be bothered so,, letsago(disorganized and sloppy as hell too)

What I genuinely want to mention is that Parrot embodies such expectancy for this kind of thing, it's been drilled into the back of his head to run, run, run. He wasn't even mad they betrayed, he was mad WHY they betrayed.

They thought he was the director, that got him so goddamn agitated because they thought HE killed Wifies, that HE is continuously ruining HIS OWN life. I think this is just the few first times he has to do it without Wifies.

He haunts the narrative, I think. Haunting every thought, action, and word of parrots.

It upsets me so much because Parrot was actually settling into BAT, he was--he was leaving the stupid isolation thing behind. And then without a single conversation with Parrot, Bat hunts him down. Like give this bird a break.

Parrot... jumps to conclusions so easily--he didn't even consider Jumper double spied with the wither material, he's so desperate for this to be over--just let them betray and he can run, run, run away.

How much do you think it fucking hurt when Leo said "We don't hunt/kill our own."?

Leo is so goddamn hypocritical in this video, you can the effect it has on Parrot. Leo doesn't even want to acknowledge the fact he did just call Parrot someone who was never apart of them. Plunge the knife and twist it, i guess.

In the end, it gets him closer to the director.

Now, onto that--We all have our theories and I wanna rant about some of them

Wifies being the director <-- something i actually freaking agree with. The director is most notably tangled in PARROTS life- "The voice changer isn't for me, it's for you." "If you knew who I was, youw wouldn't be scared- you'd be terrified." "You already know who I am."

The director puts so much fucking weight on the fact that Parrot would not be able to handle who they actually are. Nobody but Wifies would be able to shake Parrot as much as the Director is claiming it would.

Yeah, but the director being Wifies doesn't make sense for Wemmbu or Spoke, right? The Director is BARELY ever in Wemmbu's POV, and spoke is too early to tell. I reiterate, that, the Director is only ever so tangled up in Parrots POV.

So, yeah, call it stupid but i put all my money on the fact that Wifies is the Director.

Next, the Director being Parrot himself or his CC! self. It just- It just isn't worth it to incorporate into UU. You're taking this 4th wall break in SEASON TWO? when there has been virtually no buildup w it?? It just does NOT seem like a good idea for a plot point in UU. At least not one in season two? Feels like something final, yk?

It feels like something grand, not for a season two of a show. Just, no, yk?

i have no excuses except for the fact it seems really stupid from a story writing pov.

Another one that's so, so, plausible. Is that the director is future!Parrot- and I am honestly so much more inclined to believe that because it's, actually genius. It would be so, so genius as a plot point. The Director is future Parrot, he knew about the dandelion, Parrot would be terrified to see himself as the director, Parrot already knows who the director is.

It lines up catastrophically well.

Also, Wifies wouldn't do this to Parrot- Why would he? Not the Wifies we know, and it doesn't make all that much sense unless theres something else that can make it, yk, line up.

so, I am becoming more inclined to believe future parrot as the director--im mostly vouching for Wifies cuz I WNAT ODDYSEEYS DUO BACK AUGHJHDS I MISS THEM SO MUCH

PARROTS FIRST ACTUAL SENTENCE TO THE DIRECTOR WAS "WHY DID YOU KILL WIFIES?' IS THAT ALL YOU EVER THINK ABOUT. IS TAHT ALL YOU EVER SAY. WIFIES, WFIIES ,WIFIES AUGH....

Do you ever think about Hegemol and think about how he was probably ambushed in his sleep so easily by the maggot, because he had exhausted himself trying desperately to stay awake during the spread of the infection, he was probably sent to the crossroads soon after the infection came back, because that area is most definitely where it started up again. (the radiance being within the area.) And he was trying to help the people to escape, block and guard the travel routes and what not, and because the infection spreads through dreams/while sleeping, he was trying to keep himself awake, probably stayed up for days and his body eventually just gave in, and because of it he was murdered.

I’m genuinely so sad for Liam’s family (especially his young son) and the other one direction members but I am also sad for the people who’ve recently come forward with stories of experiencing predatory behavior from him and how they will most likely be blamed and shamed for coming forward

Silly thoughts I’ve been having about Stucky because I love ships with angst :P

I fear that Steve would run very hot, like sweltering at times. While Bucky, oh sweet Bucky, would run as cold as the day he fell from the freight car. And how sick and twisted that Steve could never forget the day; not even when he’s near Bucky or when he has him in his hands because it’s awful but all he feels is cold, cold, dead, lifeless Bucky.

It keeps him up at night, awake in cold sweat. It doesn’t stop—the fear; until he’s found Bucky and wrapped himself around the soldier. Until he’s so close to him he can hear the thump of his heart and his arms are both warmed to the point they feel real—like flesh from 1941.
