Working For Mr. House After Hoover Dam

Mr. House is gonna be silently very happy that y'all won at the dam. He'd give you anything you could ever need. You're hungry? He's sending a Securitron to get you some food. Thirsty? He's got all the water from Hoover Dam. Wanna gamble? Here's some allowance, knock yourself out.

If you ever decide to go out of Vegas and into the Mojave, he's gonna have Victor go with you, just in case anything goes wrong.

You’re gonna have to do everyone a favor and keep him in check. Since you're the only one who can technically kill him, it falls on you to ensure he doesn't turn corrupt.

He’ll still probably send you out to do jobs for him, smaller than they once were but jobs nonetheless.

Jane and Victor will occasionally play poker or blackjack down in the casino with you. They're way better than you and you almost always lose.

You’re almost untouchable with how many Securitrons House has programmed to keep you alive and kicking.

Now that there are fewer threats, House is trying to figure out how he can start sending people up to space again. He’ll probably want you to be one of the first people he sends so be prepared for something dauntless to be asked of you.

He’s also gonna try and figure out how he can keep you alive longer in some sort of robotic body. It’ll most likely be similar to how he is, but he wants you to be movable and preferably not as bulky as the Securitrons. His goal is to create something that allows you to be as flexible and moveable as you are currently.

After a little bit, he might give you one of the casinos to run. You can take whatever group of people you’ve become allies with to help run it with you, as long as none of you try and betray him.

He has a lot of trust in you after the war and will be completely transparent with all his future plans for Vegas. He wants you to be honest about what parts you think will and won’t work.

Even with all the newly added security, there are still gonna be people who think that they could overtake Vegas. Mr. House would probably put you in charge of what happens to them as he doesn't really care that much.

Sometimes he'll invite you up to the penthouse where he is and tell you about the pre-war world. He refuses to admit it, but he really likes talking about what Nevada used to be like.

He especially likes talking about the places featured in his snow globe collection.

Fallout New Vegas Lucky 38 Presidential Suite Sleeping Arrangement Headcanons:

I've been thinking about how the sleeping arrangement would work, since there are only three beds and six couches in the Lucky 38’s Presidential Suite.

Here’s what I imagine:

Veronica Santangelo and Rose of Sharon Cassidy:

In the smaller bedroom to the left, Veronica and Cass share this bed together. Veronica is used to sleeping close to someone since she grew up in a bunker. While Cass has slept in worse conditions while traveling for her caravan work. So neither mind sharing.

Sometimes sleeping next to Cass makes Veronica think of Christine.

If Cass is up late drinking or can’t sleep (she finds the Lucky 38 creepy) then she’ll drink until she's knocked out. Sleeping on one of the empty couches or while sitting at the kitchen table.

Lily Bowen:

Lily sleeps by herself on the bed next to Veronica and Cass'. Since she's too large to use a couch and takes up an entire bed by herself. Everyone has woken up before to Lily listening to the holotape of her grandchildren, but no one is ever bothered by it. Lily has also tucked everyone at least once into bed.

Craig Boone:

Boone ALWAYS sleeps on the couch. He’s used to sleeping in uncomfortable positions due to his NCR work, so he doesn’t mind. I think he'd also feel guilty taking a bed. Also, he doesn't want to share a bed with anyone else because the last person he did that with was Carla.

He usually likes the couch next to the pool table since it faces the Lucky 38's elevators. However, if Cass falls alseep there after drinking a little too much, then Boone will take a different couch.

Rex:

Rex changes where and who he sleeps every night, but whenever he sleeps with Boone it’s like this:

Raul Tejada, Arcade Gannon and My Courier Six:

Raul, Arcade and her all share the main big bedroom.

Usually Raul and Courier Six share the bed with ED-E (and sometimes Rex) in the middle. Raul will 100% play the arthritis and old man card.

Despite ghouls being described as gross/smelly, even Raul describes it "stink like a public toilet after Cinco de Mayo". Courier Six isn't bothered by it and doesn't mind sleeping next to him.

Actually, during the two years she worked as a courier she slept alone in many dangerous places. So, now being able to sleep next to someone makes her feel safe and happy.

Arcade usually takes the two couches and pushes them together. It's never comfortable, but he would rather do that than share a bed. His height makes sleeping on the couches difficult.

Arcade LMAO:

When Courier Six and Raul are gone he gets some of the BEST sleep in his life. The Presidential Suite beds are probably one of the few times in the Mojave he's found a bed that fits someone his height.

If Raul and Courier Six return late and Arcade is sleeping they'll just let him have the bed and sleep on the couches normally.

ED-E:

99% of the time ED-E is snuggling Courier Six. However if she's gone he'll either lay next to wherever Rex has settled, intentional sleep near Arcade to annoy him or just float by the elevator waiting for her return.

Why Mr. House Likes Snow Globes

In 2022 when Robert Edwin House was only two years old, his older half-brother, Anthony House, cut him off entirely from his inheritance as well as forcing him into the foster system. Because of this, Robert House was passed around several families during his childhood in the state of Nevada.

In 2032, he ends up living under the care of a resident of the renowned Las Vegas. However, like most of the other foster homes, he doesn't enjoy being there and feels more comfortable being virtually anywhere else. He quickly enjoys the atmosphere of Vegas and sees it as a place with opportunities. Still, as a minor he was responsible enough to stay out of the less savory parts of it.

One day after another unsolicited scolding from a drunken foster parent, Robert leaves the apartment to take a walk on the neighborhood strip. He ends up wandering to section he is less familiar with, but another nice part of Las Vegas nonetheless. An antique shop catches his eye and his eyes quickly scan over a snow globe in the window display.

It's miniature version of Las Vegas with buildings that appeared to glow brightly despite having no internal lighting. He is intrigued by the design, but less so by the price. Such a small, some would say insignificant, object for a hefty $100? Even if he was given some sort of allowance, the price would be too steep for him to consider for the peculiar thing. And yet... somehow looking at it made him feel more at ease.

A woman with long, dark hair and blue eyes notices him as she walks down that same street. Regularly she would keep walking and mind her own business, but something about the boy's expression stood out to her. There was a certain loneliness, but also a lingering determination. So, she makes a slight detour and walks over to greet him.

At first he doesn't realize the presence of the woman who stands beside him—being too fixated on the globe—but once he realizes she's there it's hard to ignore. She asks for his name, but since he doesn't trust her he tells her his middle name: Edwin. She's a little odd, talking to a child she doesn't know, but... she's somewhat pretty. Weird, but oddly pleasant to talk to.

The topic of conversation quickly changes to the snow globe he had been eyeing before she interrupted him. She asks him if he has a fondness for snow globes, to which he brushes her off by saying that there was no point in spending so much on useless knickknacks. In response, she just smiled and entered the store.

A few minutes later the snow globe was removed from the viewing window by a store clerk. When the woman returns outside, Robert instantly that she had bought it in attempt to gloat. Just like everyone else had in his life. Things were simply taken from you before you even had the chance to take them for yourself.

Instead, she hands the bag out to him. She says that it's a special gift. All he has to do is accept it. But all he can do is stare at her like there's some type of explosive inside that bag.

What? This didn't make any sense. It must have been some kind of trick. No random adult would just come across a kid and buy them something like this. There must have been some underlying scheme, he thought.

Cautiously, he peers into the bag. There inside was the Las Vegas themed snow globe, carefully wrapped in bubble wrap to prevent damages. His hands began to shake and he worried about dropping the paper bag. This person made no sense at all to him.

She tells him that one day things will get better for him if he works hard and maybe he could collect more snow globes in the future. He looks up at her like he wants to say "thank you". However she was already smiling so brightly like she had received all the praise in the world.

However, just as quickly as she appeared, she suddenly excuses herself and starts to hurry down the street. Was she late for something? It must have not been important if she had time to spare to buy a random boy a snow globe. But despite the briefness, the unconditional warmth she shared had not yet faded.

Even over 200 years later, he still has that same snow globe. It's hidden somewhere only he can see it in the Lucky 38. To him, it's a reminder that no matter how messed up the world gets, there will always be a fraction of humanity worth preserving. The other snow globes are rare finds themselves, each one holding a unspoken innocence.

Okay, this is making me wanna boot up New Vegas and start a Mr. House playthrough (I'm ngl I've only ever completed the game with the NCR, but I'm working on a Yes Man game atm LMAO)

Mr. House Meets a Pre-War Courier (Robert House x GN!Courier - can be platonic or romantic)

House had thought he'd recognised the Courier's name, but he could never have been too sure.

After all, 200 years had passed, everyone he'd known before the war was either a ghoul or dead.

He'd heard the Courier's name before though, recalling that once one belonging to an old business executive.

Surely that was just a coincidence though, if there was still someone alive who'd had almost as much influence as him before the war, he would've known already.

Then the time came for him to meet the Courier and for the first time in his life, Robert House was left speechless.

Of course, his first question - asides from wanting to know the location of the Platinum Chip - is how the Courier managed to survive the bombs and not age the last 200 years.

The answer leaves him even more confused and almost embarrassed, wondering how there'd been a cryo-vault on the West Coast without him knowing.

Once he's done discussing business matters, House is somewhat willing to make conversation about life before the war.

It's not like he has anyone else to talk to it about, so even though he'd rather keep things professional, it's nice to reminisce on the past, even if just for a moment.

Not only that, but he and the Courier worked in similar professions, so being able to relate in that sense is nice too.

It only makes him want the Courier on his side even more. Not that it would be difficult to dispose of them if it came down to it, but he'd rather keep them around.

Besides, he liked the company. He couldn't deny that, even with his Securitrons, his life felt quite isolating.

So he plans to keep the Courier around for as long as he can, hoping they don't give him a reason not to trust them.

I absolutely LOVE the Red Team's dynamic lol. If it's okay with you, do you have any headcanons about Raph and April's friendship?

Gladly! I have a whole headcanon on how they bonded and became friends!

In the beginning, Raph and April didn't really get along. Not that they hated each other, it's just they felt they had nothing to talk about and nothing to bond over. Raph just saw her as the girl his brother was crushing on and April thought he was an asshole. It wasn't until Leo's disaster of a love life came into play that these two started to bond and form some sort of friendship. They both were the first to know about Karai and warned Leo about her, and he did not listen. Ever since that day, they've been a judgmental buddy duo, seeing stupid shit go down and texting the other about it, ranting together. The "Leo shit talk" got more insane when they found out she's his sister, and jabs and insult were thrown by the Red Team towards Leo about his failure of a love life. The two would also sometimes bicker from time to time, April wasn't too please when Raph was the one who had to come and save her when she was kidnapped by the Kraang in that one episode, and for a few months, Raph didn't let that fact go, constantly teasing April about it.

That was their dynamic for most of seasons 1-2, but by season 3, the Red Team started to bond and build a friendship beyond "shit talking other people". April and Raph were the only two who took responsibility while at the farmhouse. April truly saw another side of Raph, for she always knew and saw him as the hot headed rebel, but seeing him broken over his brother made April look at him in another light. And with Donnie and Casey finally getting along, April started to rely on hanging out with Raph more since her two best friends had no time for her. Raph in fact started to spar with her, and April in truth liked sparring with Raph more than the other Turtles because she knew he wouldn't hold back on her and give her the challenge that she needed to help her improve. Raph started to see April as the big sister he never had and respected her greatly.

When Mona Lisa entered the picture, thing took a big turn. April couldn't help but fangirl over how cute Raph and his girlfriend were together. They quickly became her OTP. During the season 4 space arc, Raph wrote love letters to Mona Lisa and April was the only one who knew about it because Raph would ask April for advice from time to time on what romantic thing she should say to Mona (and also proofread them lol). I like to think April was the one who gave Raph that push to be more bold and confident with Mona cause "girls like that". April became Raph's go-to for dating advice, and unknown to April has been planning Raph and Mona wedding since they came back from space.

April was defiantly the maid of honor at Raph's wedding and of course becomes the fun loving Auntie April to his kiddies in the future, babying sitting them whenever Raph and Mona go out for date night.

Despite all their fun, the biggest thing that solidified their friendship was Splinter's death. April and Raph were the ones there to witness it first hand. Splinter was right in front of them when Shredder stabbed his blade through their Sensai's stomach, killing him instantly. They have a shared trauma, and after Shredder was killed in the season 4 finale and everything was at peace again, April still felt haunted by what she witnessed. The only person she felt she could talk to about it to, the one person who knew the same pain she was going through, was Raph, but Raph refused to open up. I can imagine that April would try to talk to Raph about it but he would dismiss her, telling her that he's too busy to chat, until one night. Up on a rooftop, April found Raph alone looking up at the stars. After some small talk, Raph finally breaks down, crying to April about everything. Through his tears he tells her how he feels he is to blame for Splinter's death, how he wishes he could've done something instead of "standing there and watching like a coward". He would tell April how he feels he's cursed to always loose people he loves and cares about, "First I lost Spike, then Mona Lisa, and now my dad is gone too! I loose everyone I love!!" April would comfort Raph, hugging him as she cries with him, telling him none of what happened was his fault. She reminds him that those people are still with him, telling Raph "Spike may be gone, but Slash is still around always there for you, and Mona Lisa, though she is beyond the stars, I can guarantee she is thinking of you everyday." April's words get to Raph as she expresses that she is feeling the same way he felt, hopeless and broken, telling Raph she hasn't felt pain like this since she lost her mother.

Their shared trauma and opening up to one another that night is what officially made them become true close friends. They felt that they finally understood each other and grew closer as friends.

Overall, their dynamic is that their both 110% DONE with everyone but one is more ready to result to violence compared to the other:

My proof that MAwS Lois Lane and Luz Noceda could canonically be the same person!

(Spoilers for My Adventures with Superman)

Sorry for the click-baitey title, but I really think there’s something here.

So in the most recent episode of MAwS, episode 7 Kiss Kiss Fall in Portal, Lois gets abducted by The League of Lois Lanes, a group made up of other Lois’s that was founded by Lois Prime; the first Lois to discover the multiverse. Members of this elite force are Lois, Lois, and Louis.

Later on, Lois looks through the multiversal archives and sees there are other Lois’ that are more successful than her. She sees Lois’ from all eras of animation and comic books, each different ethnicities and animation styles compared to her. One Lois actually looks an awful lot like Sora from Kingdom Hearts, keyblade and cropped zipper jacket to complete the look.

My theory/head cannon is that Luz is just another multiversal variant of Lois, one who instead of meeting Superman went to the Boiling Isles and met witches and demons. After all, like Louis, Luz is a name close enough to Lois that she could be considered a variant of Lois that was Dominican/Puerto Rican instead of Korean like MAwS’s Lois is. Now you’re probably thinking “this is a bit of a stretch,” but there’s another reason why this came to mind.

This episode we are introduced to the show’s Mr. Mxyzptlk, a self-proclaimed chaos god with the ability to warp reality and wield magic. He’s “just a little guy” who wears purple robes, has pointed ears, and enjoys sowing chaos for fun. Sound familiar? It should, bc that’s basically the description of our favorite space cherub, The Collector.

And before anyone says “Lois can’t be Luz!What about Lumity?” To that I say TOH is a universe where Lois never met Clark. Luz is bisexual, so I’m a world where she never meets Amity, I’m certain she’d fall for the hunky alien with a heart of gold and the ability to fly.

Tate:

•I think take wouldn’t be a big fan of many animals

•maybe a cat, specially a black one because of their ‘reputation’ 

•he’d name the cat Lucifer or Lilith 

•doesn’t like dogs

•I feel like he’d never actually want a pet of his own, but would tolerate others pets

Kit Walker: 

•dog. Probably a golden retriever 

•wants a perfect life with his women and kids, so a dog just adds to that aesthetic 

•he’d name the dog Rover or something generic like that

•Take the dog on long walks in the wood with him

•definitely let’s the dog sleep in his bed

Pre-death Kyle:

•He’s pretty busy with college, so he honestly wouldn’t have much time for an animal

Sweeney Todd has the major advantage of having a landlady that’s madly in love with him.

I first went down this rabbit hole of thought a few years ago. My updated version is that Nellie doesn’t make him pay rent. She just doesn’t care. She already wants him to live with her, so why make him pay?

Back when I first thought of this tho, my joke was that they’re both extremely broke, so she maybe tries to get him to pay rent a little bit, but he’s got, like, no money, so he’s just like, “Sorry, can’t.” And she just lets it slide, ‘cause what is she gonna do, evict the love of her life?

He gets away with this all the time.

The other joke I made is that he very easily could use this whole thing to his advantage. Not in a “toying with her feelings” way, just in a “my landlady’s in love with me, what’s she gonna do” way. One day, he just buys her flowers and is like, “Do you except barters?” And of course she accepts because she loves flowers and she loves him, and even if it was to get out of paying rent, she thinks it’s sweet, and they both know deep down that she was never going to make him pay anyway.

Mr. House would tip incredibly well (whether it’s due to it being a social status play or he just doesn’t realize that’s not an average tip amount is unclear)

Cave Johnson tips an average amount (though he will tip more if the waitress is pretty)

Andrew Ryan is the worst and doesn’t tip at all (he sees tips as hand outs and is against hand outs on principle)

As much as I love Codsworth, I wish they didn’t put him right outside the house of tomorrow at the beginning of the game. He talks about polishing rust but, like, rust only shows up with neglect. If he’s a cleaning robot, why did he not clean up the water seeping in from a damaged roof or broken windows? Or sweep the dust that would turn into grime eventually?

The house of tomorrow is a wreck when you find it after the bombs. Imagine coming home and finding it destroyed and ear-ringingly empty, and you’re left to wonder until you find the Minutemen just how much time has actually passed.
