You're telling me for the last year or so, we've been praising and using the song "Good Luck Babe" by Chappell Roan in various Tiktoks, a song about a woman in a compulsive heterosexual relationship and denying her own feelings for the song's narrator, also a woman.....

And yet we can't comprehend that Mrs. Mayberry was in a compulsive heterosexual relationship with her husband, only to realize she liked women after she died and ended up in Hell after killing him?

Okay, one can argue it's strange she ended up with Martha, the woman who slept with her husband to begin with...... Honestly, that does make sense, but really, who knows what happened between those two.

Maybe Martha was unhappy in her own marriage all along and tried finding happiness through who knows how many affairs she was having, and maybe some spark happened when she and Ms. Mayberry ran into each other again, who knows. It could have been a comphet situation for the both of them until they realized their true selves after meeting again.

Honestly, it's safe to say we're probably never gonna see these two again after the Apology Tour episode, so you can make up whatever theory you want about them, but if you're gonna question both Marth and Ms. Mayberry being together and claim it's forced diversity or whatever, you might want to take another listen to Good Luck Babe and actually pay attention to the lyrics.

Honestly, people getting mad about this in the first place, besides how they'll get mad about literally anything Vivziepop does, shows another big problem with the antis..... They have a really black and white view on things when it comes to certain characters or events in the Hellaverse, and anytime a character does something they don't like, they immediately try and villainize them (especially Stolas and Angel Dust), and they don't even try to look at both sides in a conflict in either story. They overall fail to realize the complexity of some characters and just how Grey things can be......

Then again, what do you expect from the same people so unable to differentiate fiction and reality that they attack Joel Perez for voicing Valentino? While also claiming that owning Valentino merch is the same as endorsing abuse?

This ship was way too fun to not to try to draw something to it. Like Martha x Mrs Mayberry, just theeeeem. I wanted to draw them together after the episode and I did so. I think I have already written about it, but I am holding back things I did because I don't want to be gone long because of uni getting too much.

Yeah, it is one of those or the ones I admit to. To be honest, I was surprised that this ship came to be, but now that they are together I can't imagine them separated lol. Like aaaawh, their ship is just AAAAWH. Even though one is a cheater, who had cheated on her husband and the other who killed her husband and also who sent IMP after the former, but still, AAAWH cuteeeeeee.

First off I need to say that Stolas’s drunk voice sounds amazing, but at first it kinda sounded like Val’s voice to me idk

From a shipping perspective: omfg yess toxic yuri!! From a story writing perspective: it's not a good fit.

Jokes like these are meant to be tongue in cheek, omg the enemies got together!! However, and I'm probably gonna sound “too woke”, my problem lies with the fact that it's two women in a wlw relationship.

On paper, this reads as joking around about how these two enemies got together in the end isn't that funny?! But wlw relationships have been used for shock value for decades and it is slightly infuriating.

This would've worked much better if there was some build up. (Which, again, I know the shock value was part of the joke.) Even Just one homoerotic Fight scene would have made me love this hookup reveal scene.

I really doubt this was their goal or that it was even in the writers minds. But it's always important to be aware of stereotypes and common issues in media regarding lgbtqia+ issues.

If there wasn't so many problems with wlw relationships in media, I wouldn't have thought twice about the scene.

(Fun Fact, Tumblr crashed and deleted my original rant 🥲.) Take my analysis with a grain of salt, though, because I'm not a professional writer and haven't taken any classes on such things. It's all just things I've picked up on from YouTube videos and autism lmao.
