GEARS ( Deluxe ) Generations LEGACY UNITED *G1*

Con GEARS si allarga la schiera dei Minibots G1 e degli originali Autobot del 1984 in salsa Generations, attesissimo sin da Kingdom per via della sua apparizione nel poster promozionale della linea terza parte di War For Cybertron, ma anche perchè complessivamente i modellini che portano il suo nome si contano letteralmente sulle dita di una mano, comprendendo pure un repaint Bayformer!!

Anche per lui vale quanto detto per altri, ovvero che la primissima impressione dalle immagini promozionali non è che entusiasmasse tanto, visto il look squadrato e cubettoso ulteriormente accentuato dalla posa, ma alla mano il ROBOT è decisamente soddisfacente, con quel look particolare da pseudo Gobot che richiamava sin dal suo settei dei cartoni.

Ovviamente il modellino più recente con cui raffrontarlo è il collega Minibot Brawn uscito per Studio Series, di il nostro Mulo è solo di un cincinino più basso e non quasi una testa come nei cartoni, ma grazie al testone particolare rende meglio di Cammello il fatto di essere un bot tappo!

Inoltre lo supera a livello di articolazioni, con la rotazione dei pugni ed il testone ben più manovrabile di quello di Brawn, ma la zainata sulla schiena non sarebbe così fedele al settei, in quanto un po' troppo alta e rappresentata dal muso del veicolo e non dal tettuccio, ma su questo si può sorvolare.

Da un po' fastidio invece veder rompere l'armonia cromatica del rosso e blu principale per via delle giunzioni dei gomiti grigie che interrompono il blu delle braccia, e un po' meno quelle fra anche e cosce rosse anzichè grigie, così come a dovere spaccare il capello in 4, i pugni dovevano essere neri o quantomeno grigio scuro, e non chiaro, ma tant'è.

Immancabile la particolarità che cita l'episodio dei cartoni animati G1 che lo vede protagonista, "Changing Gears", ovvero la possibilità di alzare il pannello del petto per esibire dettagli dei circuiti interni del nostro… peccato che questi non siano manco dipinti di argento come nel cartone! Da notare come il pannello non sia attaccato al petto nel modellino confezionato, probabilmente per evitare che, per via delle scatole aperte frontalmente, si rovini o salti via o venga rubbbbato! ^^'

Infine, come accessorio in più il nostro ha solo una pistola generica nera di quelle che ogni tanto lo si vedeva usare nel cartone, ed ha pochi fori sparsi nel corpo per le armi, ovvero sotto i piedi, ai lati dei polpacci e ai lati della zainata; come Deluxe, in quanto Minibot, dicevamo che non è altissimo, ma alla fine come massa "non le manda a dire" ad altri colleghi di classe magari più alti ma appunto più leggeri come un Prowl Animated o un Hot Shot Armada, fermo restando che appunto la sua peculiarità è quella di essere basso!

Ah, quasi dimenticavo: sulla nuca è scolpita un W, o meglio un M rovescia che si rifà a quella scolpita sul cofano del giocattolo G1, rimembranza della linea Misteryans cui lo stampo faceva parte prima di venir assorbito da Takara prima ed Hasbro poi. Carina come citazione, a forse avrei preferito vedere invece la faccia stilizzatissima del G1 del 1984, sempre che non se la tengano per un eventuale versione esclusiva, tipo quella leakata sul pack dei pseudo Gobots.

La TRASFORMAZIONE è ovviamente più elaborata del semplicissimo G1 ma più scorrevole di quella di Brawn SS, col il torso che si abbassa per far rientrare le braccia ripiegate al suo interno, mentre la zainata sulla schiena va a coprire la testa diventando il cofano, e le gambe si ripiegano non prima che i talloni si distendano a completare il tettuccio, con infine il torso che si apre ulteriormente per andare a coprire il retro, mentre le ruote si posizionano.

Il PICKUP risultante lascia un po' interdetti inizialmente, dato che sì, i Minibots originali diventavano auto dichiaratamente superdeformed, ma nei settei alcuni avevano una parvenza di realismo, come visto anche sempre nel succitato Cammello SS, ed anche la precedente versione GenT30 Scout/Legend era abbastanza realistica come veicolo, ma in realtà la cabina stretta e le ruote non enormi richiamano invece un moderno SUV stile GMC Topkick, come quello di Ironhide Movie per intenderci, con il cassone un po' alto sul retro rispetto al "ripieno" di generico carico rosso.

Stonano un po' sulla carrozzeria pure le cerniere sulle portiere che sostengono le braccia, così come le succitate ruote sono un filino troppo smilze, anche se funzionali a come si ripiegano per la trasforazione ( e possono pure far assumere la non richiesta forma di hovercraft all'auto… ^^' ), ma di certo quello che lascia decisamente col sopracciglio alzato è il petto del robot rovescio dietro il veicolo.

Che a pensarci, se il retro fosse scolpito in maniera realistica, sarebbe una figata come torso di un Autobot qualsiasi generico, non sia mai, ma appunto il torso di Gears è decisamente dedicato e lontano dall'essere un retro qualsiasi di auto.

Concludiamo con il fatto che la pistola può sistemarsi su uno dei 6 fori del veicolo grazie anche alla sua spina laterale ma non nascondervisi dentro, e che se invece che un SUV terrestre questo Mulo avesse avuto un alt mode cybertroniano, fra ruote pieghevoli e retro fantasioso sarebbe stato PERFETTO… ma accontentiamoci del veicolo terrestre un po' zoppicante e consoliamoci con il robot indovinato e la trasformazione semplice ma soddisfacente, e sopratutto di avere dopo tanto un Mulo tutto sommato decente fra i Generations! ^^

About that debate that Dick and Tim had when Tim was seriously considering reviving his loved ones with Lazarus water and Dick was trying to get him to stop. Specifically, Dick insists that it's against the natural order, to which Tim has some well-put counterpoints about the insane world they're in, but I wondered about Romani traditions when it came to death and returning as a mulo. I'm not saying this was an intentional choice on the writer's part, but I can kind of see where Dick is coming from based on his upbringing, on his belief that you come back wrong, and you could be dangerous.

Oggi il Varen di turno e' Giorgia Meloni.. e Matteo? Beh, per lui c'e' solo la soma. Destino capitato a un altro Matteo, un certo Renzi, uno a cui avevano pompato il 40% dei consensi e adesso non viene votato nemmeno dai parenti stretti. un anno fa a quest’ora mangiavo come un porco, studiavo come un mulo ed ero la persona più pigra dell’universo

quest’anno (o meglio da quando mi sono laureato a dicembre) faccio cose strane tipo alzarmi alle 5 per fare allenamento a corpo libero, mangio quasi come un vegetariano da ormai 6 mesi (quasi perché non rinuncio a pollo, pesce e bresaola 🫠), cerco di ottimizzare ogni buco di tempo, sto costantemente a programmare nuovi progetti per i mesi a venire

io non lo so cos’è che mi è successo ma tra queste nuove abitudini, il fatto che ormai sono diventato un monaco zen che non si lascia più influenzare dalle altre persone (almeno il 90% delle volte) e che lascio correre quasi tutto perché alla fine sticazzi delle altre persone (come direbbe christina yang il mio sole sono io) e il fatto che sto lottando contro la mia ansia e non sto lasciando che mi prevarichi, sto riscoprendo o meglio scoprendo una versione di me che mi piace molto, io lo chiamerei l’emanuele 3.0, se diventare adulto significa cambiare così tanto in fondo mi va bene e accetto il cambiamento (ho persino festeggiato il mio compleanno come si deve quest’anno e non mi sono rifugiato come ogni anno perché mi deprimo a invecchiare)

comunque quanto cazzo sono logorroico (sto da solo in ufficio e non ho molto da fare😃 quindi rifletto e rimugino)

I ended up thinking about Hawkmoth with good publicity again & had thoughts.

So, it was agreed Fu needs to change his entire methodology. His foe knows he exists & has some estimation as to an identity. He knows Hawk Moth want the Ladybug & Cat. He knows the man has connections in the city and is building both a fanbase by orchestrating disasters to play hero, so he can use his followers to eventually flush Fu out of hiding.

Long story short, he cannot keep all the Miraculous, nor can he risk putting Tikki & Plagg into the field. He also needs to find people who, rather than being cinnamon roles are those with little respect for authority or a willingness to break and bend the rules as necessary. He needs a team of infiltrators, saboteurs and fighters.

With that in mind he chooses: (I use my 12 Kwami lore, sorry XD)

Chloe, as she was often used as Hawk Moth's favorite hostage and is aware of his con. He entrusts her with Mulo both to help protect her identity as both civilian & agent and for infiltration and battles. With the power of Multiplication & Duplication, she takes the name Mademoiselle Millions!

Chloe uses her skills in ballet, gymnastics and general athleticism to orchestrate incredible combo attacks. Also like, sends tins versions of herself elsewhere or whatever, she thinks spy work is lame & has seen 'way' more than she ever wanted when looking for Hawk Moth.

Luka is chosen in large part because of his soul song ability, it helped him parce that Hawk Moth was not someone genuine. What's more, raised by ANarka he has a healthy disrespect for authority and his skills with empathy and calm head make him a good counter to some of the Butterflies inate powers.

He is entrusted with Dusuu and with the powers of Evocation & Transmutation, he takes the name Erymathy From kari-go). Luka uses these powers to enhance or weaken his surroundings, strengthen his allies or weaken his enemies, and to change the elemental nature of objects as necessary. Its useful for infiltration.

Juleka, like her brother, she has a healthy lack of trust in authority figures and is far mroe willing to go to extremes as she deems necessary. She is also surprisingly fearless in the face of monsters, even of social situation cause her dread.

Entrusted with Longg, she wields the Miraculous of Storm & Power, as Draconyx. SHe is an ideal partner for the Peacock which can radically dversify her elemental combinations allowing for greater versatility or more overwhelming power as the situation demands.

Alya is a reporter and while at first enamored with Hawk Moth, hshe sought to uncover his identity despite him stressing people should not. She also jjumped on toe 'conspiracy' theory that Hawk Moth was a thief with great interest, not outright distrustful, her commitments to the truth at any cost suits Fu's needs well.

Thus she was entrusted with Kaalki, the Kwami of Action & Migration, to assist her in infiltrating and intel gathering. Alya took on the name Troades (A Trojan Horse reference) and has sworn to get to the bottom of things no matter what. & if she becomes an acclaimed reporter, hero and all around stunner in the interim, she & Kaalki won't complain.

Fox: Fu would have liked to hand out the Fox, the powers of Mirage & Materialization, when used correctly could pull images and emotions from even Hawk Moth and help uncover his identity. However that Miraculous was lost sometime ago, though it seems to be making its way back to Paris in the hands of one, Volpina.

Tiger: I am unsure who I'd give Tiger to, my shortlist is, Kagami (Cos of course), Alyx (She can work) and Mylene (She is a protestor after all) But its hard to make any of them fit quite as I'd like. Though if Mylene was picked she'd go by Sabertooth to honor an extinct animal.

Still, he doesn't need to hand them all out right away so there'd be some wiggle room. Marinette & Adrien are off the list due to their respective respect for authority (Meaning she would struggle to see HK as a villain unless he does so in front of her) or controlling parents making the work harder.

I imagine Fu is a bit more involved in trying to designate tasks and serve as mission control, though he may need to move in & hide with his old flame to hide out from Hawk Moth and his followers. Also, a team made up of people with a lack of respect for authority is not exactly easy to control!

If you are just lookin' to give me extra support or get the games DRM free then itch is the way to go, but I'm just happy 2 hear people played and enjoyed the games at all.
