Fun fact that I really like; the Baby incubator preemie babies chill in while they finish cooking wouldn't exist if it weren't for a guy named Martin Couney, who brought these incubators to Coney Island-you know, the Carnival-and made it into an attraction because he was empathetic to the cause. The people got to see weird little babies and the money went towards the babies care which boosted their survival rate crazy high.

Uhhhhh... A comic? Like a big ol' comic??? I don't even know, friends, I don't know how to colour and/or draw comics. I'm just living my best half-assed artist life ✨ Also sorry if my writing is messy ✨

Anyway, this comic is kind of a branch off of the comic I posted a WIP of a bit ago. Long story short, Leo has big insomnia™ and instead of lying awake all night he tends to use the time for more useful things. Like checking on his dearest brothers!

Poor Raph has nightmares, but usually keeps them to himself. However, he's been more comfortable talking/crying about his issues with Leo bc he managed to convince Raph that, as a leader, he needed to be aware of his team's headspaces... Or something idk just go with it.

Anywayyy the next part is where Leo checks on Mikey and Donnie sooooo stay tuned!

Inspired by 1) my childhood dog, who would immediately start chewing faster if anyone noticed him eating non edible things and 2) my brother, who ate a beetle that one time for no other reason than to prove he could.

We also had a moth infestation once when I was a kid, and every time I went to check if the cereal was covered in moths or not, that same brother would tease me to eat it anyways for the extra protein >:p

My childhood dog was a big ol’ Rottweiler! Lovely dog, so gentle even when my ten year old self was trying to pry paper towels out from between his teeth lol

The first two are pretty self explanatory. I had a hard time thinking of a situation where Donnie would even allow himself to feel annoyed with Raph lol. But I figured in the doomed future, Raph would drag Donnie from his very important work, to celebrate their wins. And Raph would go hard on the celebration part. (Also wanted to try out my “new” future design for Donnie…maybe still workshopping lol.

Dang now you got me wondering about the whole story of future leo and ronin… cause like where do they meet? Would it be in the krang invasion where Leo finds ronin and drags him back to a safe zone? Or would it be Leo getting dragged i to the different timeline, disorientated as all hell cause ‘wait a minute wasn’t he just fighting a war?’ and runs into ronin by mistake?

Either way… love the idea of them teaching each other survival skills from their own timelines and reluctantly (ronin) becoming co-dependent of each other

For this scenario, I imagine future leo is taken from the intro of the movie—specifically, the moment casey jr. is thrown into the portal—and is dropped into the ronin’s dimension instead of dying immediately. Mikey (the ronin) finds him in a really sorry state, and it’s a real big shock for both of them at first…but, they eventually adjust somewhat and very quickly stick together like jam. :)
