and then in walks xie lian. hua cheng is insistent on being the self deprecating clueless lovely idiot we know him as.

wei wuxian decides to take it upon himself to be the #1 wingman ever and speed up the process by getting them together with the power of flute playing!

eventually hua cheng also convinces wei wuxian to return to the land of the living for lan wangji!

The moment Luo Binghe is shoved backwards into the Endless Abyss, he knows he will never return. No one comes back from the Abyss, the rift torn through reality. Doubly so, now that the seal upon his demonic heritage is shattered.

He sees Shizun’s face twist in something complicated and horrible, even as it grows smaller and finally disappears.

But he doesn’t ever hit the ground. Instead, warm water closes over his head and the force of his fall drives him deep. The water seems too thick around him and eventually even his cultivator’s lungs need a reprieve. And when he involuntarily opens his mouth all he tastes is blood.

Luo Binghe panics, gasping for air that is not there and searching blindly for the surface. And somehow he finds it, clawing his way out of the blood like some half-dead thing. There is blood in his eyes, he’s completely coated in it. He probably looks like a monster.

Somewhere to his side there’s the sound of people jumping to their feet, cries of shock and fear.

That’s right he (Last name) ( First Name) , A lazy modern guy , died and transmigrated into PIDW not only that as an OC insert the scum villains younger brother!

Airplane , what kind of messed up tragic sad backstory did you need to give Jiu-Ge?!

Naturally they grew up together which meant his childhood sucked too!

Granted not that bad compared to him as that Qiu Jianluo took a very good liking to him and loved his naïve personality he was rarely beaten.

Which now knowing WHAT Qiu Jianluo liked and was thinking made him want to scream cry and rip off his skin to erase the feeling the skin that was touched by him.

What seemed liked innocent hugged were actually very much not innocent.

years later and after much trauma he became a peak lord!

So, that's that! Yippie hooray for you.

The (History of God's and Ghost's) "神与鬼的历史" (Shén yǔ guǐ de lìshǐ) peak lord!

It is the same ranking as Qing Jing Peak.

In this peak they learned about God’s and Ghost’s that are hidden and roaming around somewhere.

Their cultivation was communication with them.

Some Ghosts would occasionally help them when in need by lending them their strength.

In turn they would also help the ghost move on.

However, this is not safety assured as ghosts can be deceiving.

Shen (Name) would know himself, he’s half possessed by one called SYSTEM who forces him to do certain shit!

A ghost’s blessing boosts up your QI similar to the gods blessing but a ghost blessing also gives you luck while God’s give you some protection but not luck that would be on you!

Suddenly again he heard Liu Qingge and Shen Qingqiu fighting which is normal. However, they were fighting over a disciple.

He didn’t feel like getting involved and zoomed out before Shang Qinghua whispered to him.

he glared at Shang Qinghua for not telling him sooner and ran after Shen Jiu.

His peak was often described as a picturesque peak ( he was very proud of his peak ) adorned with tranquil ponds. The water is crystal clear, reflecting the beauty of the lily pads floating gracefully on the surface.

Koi fish gracefully glide through the water, their vibrant colors adding a touch of elegance.

The croaking of frogs adds a harmonious melody to the scene. The air is filled with the sweet fragrance of blooming flowers, and the sight of fluttering butterflies brings a sense of joy.

The overall ambiance feels inviting and pristine. Even the teachers and classes exude warmth and friendliness. It's a place where one can find solace and inspiration.

Near the peak lord's house you'll see a more beautiful building. The building is a shrine. Inside of it is a statue of the main god they learn about.

However, the statue isn't alone along with it is the God's husband.

The crown prince and also now heavenly emperor Xie Lian & his husband Crimson Rain Sought Flower Hua Cheng.

If you're lucky enough (or you're Shen (Name) ) you'll see silver butterflies flying around.

It make's a wonderful painting , silver Butterflies in the moonlight.

From the outside the shrine has an ornate and elaborate design, with intricate carvings.

Inside the shrine, you'll find a serene and reverent atmosphere. 

To the side inside the shrine is a long table where offerings and candle's are lit.

His peak is always calm and right now that's where he wants to be not in his olders brother bamboo house with tension so high he's surprised the kid Luo Binghe hasn't fainted.

' It's the tea scene where he pours hot boiling tea on him ' he thinks.

He wishes he can move from his brother's side yet he can't.

The tea is poured , the child gasps and the master leaves looking back once at his brother.

Shen (Name) immediately goes to the poor disciple.

He grabs the towel from the table and gently wipe away the hot tea.

"I'm sorry, please don't mind my brother."

The child looks up naive brown eyes shining at him.

"N-no shifu it was this Disciples fault."

The peak lord can't help how his heart melts.

Shen (Name) from the past hated this scene and didn't understand why Shen Qingqiu did this. The Shen (Name) who he is now understands.

Luo Binghe's eye's and hair are similiar to Qiu Jianluo.

The child's name make it even worse. Luo Binghe..Luo...

Ning Yingying didn't help either immediately calling him A-Luo...

... something Qiu Haitang used to call her brother Luo-Ge...

Still, it's no excuse to what happened to this child but he can be sympathetic.

He'll show him around himself and leave he can't be absent from his peak but he can visit his brother and this child.

Maybe, in the way he'll see his cute shidi Liu Qingge.

Dropping off Luo Binghe at his dorm's in which he knows he won't be staying there longer Shen (Name) leave's and goes to the shrine.

He knows the god probably won't respond but he'll feel his presence and that's enough.

He doesn’t understand the words the first time, but the sharp slap of a talisman to his forehead is explanation enough. And then he is being doused in water. Cold, cold water, and it brings back horrible memories of trying to help his mother with laundry and instead nearly drowning in the icy river.

But it serves to shock him out of his panic.

“What are you?” The voice demands again and this time Luo Binghe listens. A man, sharp voice, slight accent, used to issuing orders. What am I? Shizun’s twisted face swims through his mind and he flinches away from that moment in time. Human? Demon? Something in between?

A sharp intake of breath off to the side—at him speaking, he thinks. Not a fierce corpse, I don’t think, is whispered nearby. Maybe some kind of yaogui?

“Do you have a name?” the man asks, as if not expecting an answer. But Luo Binghe has an answer.

Coughing the last of the blood out of his mouth, he finally lifts his head to look around him, squinting through the red film the water was unable to rinse off. The man is something of a black shadow in front of him, his face a pale, pale smudge.

“I am Luo Binghe, disciple of Cang Qiong Mountain Sect.”

TGCF map?

While I’m writing a fic and looking for a map, I found this fan made map on reddit thread:

Unlike the map in MDZS, this fan-made map of TGCF is like any other map in fantasy settings (eg LOTR, Final Fantasy series, anime One Piece/HxH, etc).

But what if the TGCF world itself uses China map as reference like in the MDZS?

Because there is one location that also exists in the real world, namely: the Gobi Desert.

So I want to try guessing the locations in TGCF are, which, although the names are fictional, are based on real locations.

Like Morioh and S city in JoJo which are said to be based on Sendai, Miyagi prefecture.

Before proceeding, remember that this is a fan-made and not a serious project either. This is purely headcanon so you are free to agree or disagree, if you prefer your own headcanon then so be it.

First, regarding the location of Mount Tonglu (Wuyong), I was looking for a map showing the locations of volcanoes in China and found this:

However, I didn't really check the history of these mountains, so I more or less made up the location of Mt. Tonglu here:

The map above is for the event circa 2000 years ago, since volcano eruptions by a single mountain was capable to buried the entire Wuyong kingdom, it made me think that Wuyong's territory wasn't that big.

Besides that, I was inspired by the "No Paths Are Bound" fanfic which brought Xianle into the history of Wuyong. Moreover, it was mentioned that for the people of Wuyong, they tried to invade other kingdoms to take over their land & have their people move in. Thus, I’ve made Xianle and Xuli bordered Wuyong.

Most readers believe that Xuli was located in the north, considering Pei Ming's domain (although I don't think it really has to be, because Xuli kingdom had already fallen during present time which I think, its location is no longer necessary where).

There is also Zhaoyi, my made up kingdom for my fic (therefore, not canon). I was inspired by the timeline of the Xia dynasty era where the royal territory was not as big as during imperial era, so I also made Xianle’s territory quite small as well.

Generally in every dynasty there is always territorial upheaval which often ends with one dynasty overthrowing another. In this fanfic of mine, I want to make sure that the Zhaoyi kingdom will be absorbed by Xianle. Yong'an itself was part of another country in the past which will be taken by Xianle.

The old capital of Zhaoyi is Qiyi. Qiyi itself is actually the old name of Qishan. Again, I got inspired by NPAB to incorporate MDZS’ places in TGCF. The name 'Zhaoyi' itself is taken from the history of Qishan County in the Spring and Autumn period during King Wu’s reign (Zhou dynasty) as one of its state; Shao (召 or 邵).

Regarding Lang’er bay location, I’ve made it based on Qinghai lake. Wait a minute, why the lake? Isn’t it a bay? The initial fan-made map is correct in seeing the concept of Lang'er bay as a ‘truly bay’. But I want to match the location of Lang'er bay to the map of China, which according to TGCF, located to the west of Xianle. The problem is, to the west of China there are no bays! Therefore, I tried to redefine the word 'bay' and I came up with this:

Thunder Bay! According to wiki, Thunder Bay is a large bay on the northern shore of Lake Superior, in Thunder Bay District, Ontario, Canada.

In addition, in Qinghai Lake itself there is a spot called “Fairy Bay Area”.

Years later, Wuyong had fallen, its territory was absorbed by Xuli. Xianle itself was expanding its territory and managed to seize part of Zhaoyi's. Zhaoyi moved the capital in unknown location (presumably around Yong’an, which still belonged to said kingdom). Also, moving the capital was a common thing to do since a long time ago.

During this time, Banyue and Yushi were found. It is noted that Banyue was located around Gobi desert and Yushi was a kingdom far to the south of Xianle. The blank territory between Xianle and Yushi can be filled with any random countries.

As time went by, Xianle and Xuli were keep growing. The Zhaoyi Kingdom finally fell and Yong'an officially became a part of Xianle. Despite that, some remnants of Zhaoyi still exist as autonomous zone led by rebels.

Circa 800 years ago, Yushi eventually fell and became part of Xuli's territory. You can see how ambitious Xuli country was back then (like the Mongol empire). Xianle itself began to clash with Xuli and managed to seize part of its territory. However during this tension, Banyue took its chance to absorb the autonomous zone of Zhaoyi. More places are revealed.

Less than a decade later, the fall of Xianle happened as a result of the civil war with the Yong'an rebels. Feng Xin mentioned that Yong'an obtained help from other countries secretly. Thus, given the tension between Xianle and Xuli, I presumed that it was Xuli who was secretly helping Yong'an (and also some of the rebel descendants of Zhaoyi who held grudges against Xianle). Actually some of the Xuli people prayed to Pei Ming, but Pei Ming paid no heed, considering that King of Xuli at that time made him break his sword.

During this time, there was a new dynasty that was starting to grow which would become the home country of Shi Wudu, Shi Qingxuan and He Xuan.

The decline of Xuli was starting to happen, as Yong’an and the unnamed country absorbed some of its territories. Yushi's region was eventually taken over by the unnamed country. Yong'an itself became a bigger country than Xianle, its territory reached the eastern edge (which would become Lang Qianqiu's domain later).

The location of Mount Yujun is revealed. Mount Yujun itself is said to be in Pei Ming's domain (north), because we already believe that Xuli is in the north, then Mount Yujun itself is located in Xuli.

Xuli had finally fallen while Banyue itself kept growing. Ling Wen and Pei Ming were responsible for the fall of their own kingdom (lol), I thought the latter agreed to participate because he saw how corrupt his nation had become. Xuli is then divided into several countries which I don’t bother to name and set the regional boundaries.

Circa 200 years ago, Banyue eventually was eradicated by Yong’an. Some years ago (it was not necessary to coincide with the fall of Banyue), the Black Water Demon Lair was discovered. According to TGCF, Black Water Demon Lair is located in the South Sea.

In the southern part of China there is a tropical island called Hainan, a place that I think is suitable for Black Water Island. In the middle of Black Water Island, there is Black Water Lake, and coincidentally:

On the island of Hainan there is also a lake. In the middle of the lake, there is also a small island that I actually wanted to make the location of the Nether Water Manor on, but I just remembered that the manor is like being in separated dimension (iirc underwater inside the lake).

Finally, Yong'an nation also fell and was divided into several countries (which again, I careless to name and set their territories). More places relevant to the plot are revealed (including the MDZS’ one as a tribute to NPAB). In the end, the largest country is Shi Qingxuan’s unnamed country (lol), and also in the Himalayan region there are several unnamed countries.

Interestingly, in the present timeline of TGCF, there aren’t named countries that are still standing.

Specifically below is a map showing the domains of the martial gods:

The domain divisions are purely made up and not based on regional divisions used IRL.

Thank you to those of you who have read up to here. I made this not to ridicule the fantasy map, not at all. In fact I think the TGCF storyline will be more in line with the fantasy map. It's just that I was challenged to use a map of China thanks to the existence of 'Gobi Desert' the novel mentioned.

Self talk here but if I were to do a crossover of MXTX's works I would absolutely have Shen Jiu and Wei wuxian meet. Not only due to the vast, horribly vast differences in their personalities and their ideals (caring for the rest at the expense of yourself vs. hiding the crimes you've done for your survival) but also because Shen Jiu is the prime example of becoming a great cultivator despite your humble beginnings, yet it also reassures him that to become such a cultivator, he must hide away everything that has made him different in the first place.

For the most part, MDZS is talking about the classism within the martial arts world, this wuxia world specifically. But upon bringing Svsss(PDIW to be more accurate) and TGCG into the mix, Wei Wuxian is no longer the only character that has humble beginnings. And even if Wei Wuxian knows about Jin Guangyao, it keeps being a constant reminder that he can only be someone respected if he agrees with the rest. If he become someone he isn't.

And yet when Shen Jiu starts to open more about who he really is, probably having nowhere else to go now that the one and only Emperor of 3 realms is out for his ass, Wei wuxian and him have some common differences that makes them stick to each other and bring out the best for the sake of everyone's survival.

(Beware this has somehow become a drabble idea below)

I'd mostly put their meeting of Shen Jiu being a ghost that just walks around the burial mounds (former Qing Jing Peak before Bingge decided to release hellfire him here alongside his body.) Unable to find peace for all the things he had done in life that made him regret everything. And then one day, finding this boy, exhausted, to the brink of death, and yeah, absolutely should have died where it not for whatever cultivation he is doing right now. He tends to the boy, having nothing else to do in this desolate place, and with the knowledge of his former peak, as well as the rest of the knowledge he has done while trying to escape Luo Binghe for the remaining years of his life, he knows a thing or two about refining resentful energy (heaven knows he is using most of it right now to never be under the Emperor’s clutches) so he helps the boy live, and the youth thrives on that survival.

A few months in as he lives, as he learns to play his flute and gather enough strength, Wei Wuxian tells his story to his sort-of-master, from the new clans to the hatred to the stories of his family, his last remaining siblings. Shen Jiu can no longer resent anyone else, so he doesn't become jealous of the boy and instead finds these new stories somewhat, amusing. Boring to a man who lived many things, but something worthwhile as he lives here, alone.

Shen Jiu never had a reason to eat and he doesn't plan to, but he has to get food for the boy, so he haunts some places here and there, scaring weird loons while this child laughs about the way they screamed and fled from his sight. He often wonders to Shen Jiu why he doesn't reveal that gloomy face of his, and Shen Jiu, after much pestering (and somehow the boy never pushing the line, as though he has dealt with someone like this before), he relents to tell his story, not his background, and leaving a lot of details here and there, but Wei Wuxian gets it, this tired, worn down ghost was once the most famous cultivator from the most famous peak lord of his era. Shen Qingqiu, the Xiuya Sword of Cang Qiong peak. Oh, no wonder he knew so much about martial arts.

But he can't believe it at first, such a deflated ghost once the most beautiful and prestigious man, until his secrets where found that is. He is likely more remembered for that than the rest, although Wei Wuxian developed over the months a bit more of an interest for those hints of a humble life than for the dramas that are heard in all 3 realms.

Half, unable to leave this place and half unwilling to be recognized by anyone else, Shen Jiu is left to ponder about his life again in the silence of the Burial Mounds, sometimes finding new corpses to bury, other times finding the ash of his past sect. He does ponder whenever or not it is a good idea for him to have raised yet another revenge filled lunatic and set it free in this world, but at least he feels calm knowing that the youth isn't out to kill him in any way.

However, it seems the youth, no longer so youthful though, is absolutely out to irritate him when they find each other again. And with no explanation whatsoever, Wei Wuxian delivers him some 50 or so people under his care. His and Wei Wuxian's care.

Everything then starts to bring him back to those days in Qing Jing Peak; A-Yuan's playful attitude the same as Ning Yingying when she first entered his peak. Wen Ning's respectful obedience like that of Ming Fan. The small herbs slowly being planted, turning back the green from a long lost bamboo forest. The kindness of the Granny Wen and Si-shu almost reminiscent of his assended Shizun.

And that fight between Jiang Cheng, who Wei Wuxian informs him of being the same brother he once gave the golden core to, the same brother he live and fought alongside for many years. It almost strangles him to see a vivid picture of Bai Zhan's peak lord in him. Shen Jiu, while dealing with his new disciple's injuries, slowly unwraps everything he sees in him, the path of revenge Luo Binghe has taken, the path of glory Shen Jiu has taken, all of that is what Wei Wuxxian is slowly becoming.

But unlike Binghe, he will not last any longer, and he doesn't want to become a resentful ghost like his master, he has to find a way to leave his demonic cultivation all behind.
