I think one of the best choices the show runners for Lockwood And Co. made regarding Lucy was the choice to let her be afraid and show her fear often.

I mean yeah we all know that Lucy is a stonecold badass, but she's also so not. She shrieks/yelps when she's startled, and it's clear on her face and in her voice when she's genuinely terrified of whatever threat she's currently facing. Because she has a right to be completely terrified. She's like 17 years old and this shit is scary.

I think one of the things that easily saves her from the horrible "strong independent badass woman that feels nothing but cynicism" stereotype is the fact that she's allowed to be scared. She's allowed to shakily call out for Lockwood and/or George when something's wrong or she needs help.

I also love that they show us this so early on in the first episode. She's calm and collected when she and Lockwood enter the Sheen Road house, but she rips her rapier from her belt and jumps back in fright when she hears the sounds of a dying man falling down the stairs. Lockwood gives her a teasing smile, but he doesn't berate her for being scared. And she quickly recovers.

I was hooked on the show probably from the first second, but that scene right there really reeled me in. I just love that she's allowed to be afraid.

bad news: Noct doesn't actually use ぶす ("ugly") in the Japanese dialogue of the opening scene of Episode Gladiolus. good news: it comes down to the same thing (in a way).

Spelldaggers, the project that translated the game directly from the Japanese version, translated it as: Noctis: And it makes you ugly.

if *I* were to translate it, it'd be: Noctis: You look even more like a thug now.

which is (unfortunately) closer to the English version's "Worse than looking like some kind of thug?", but let me explain.

the exact phrase Noct uses here is ガラが悪い (literally "[a] bad type [of person]"), which is often used to describe delinquents and people with no good manners. and these kinds of people are often depicted as ugly.

have you seen Kiryu from the Yakuza/Like a Dragon series? i'd describe him (based on his literally being in the yakuza) as ガラが悪い... he ain't ugly though. but i digress.

in any case, this is just a case of light banter between Noct and Gladio, so i wouldn't read into it too deeply.

out of the big 4 het/canon fairy tail pairings jerza is by Far the worst imo like. he needs to leave her alone i'm so serious and the fact that mashima wrote in a 7 year age gap for no reason is Not helping... erzas ass is NINETEEN the first time jellal makes an open pass at her i don't care that they used to be the same age it is fucking weird. gruvia is a close second though because while yes we objectify men here sir and i live to serve women juvia's creepiness is really just too much like at a certain point it starts to feel really gross and the fact that gray seems to fall for her by the end of the anime/manga just reeks of coercion. not even bringing up how genuinely awful juvia's character writing is she gets like 5 minutes of being interesting before getting instantly reduced to a creepy stan who completely revolves around gray and has less depth than the average bossfight of the week. i guess its equality that erza and mirajane are some of the best characters in this story (which is admittedly a low bar considering half of their personality is being subjected to the most voyeuristic shots possible) so mashima had to balance it out by making juvia one of the worst

it strikes him as odd that whenever the two of you argue, the weather in heaven is always particularly nasty, but he doesn't bring it up because he thinks its an idiotic theory

when you eventually explain your powers to him he has the biggest AHA moment ever

honestly adam loves your powers and finds them to be so interesting. he was the first man after all, he was one of the first few to navigate earth's tumultuous weather patterns. seeing you control the weather and watching how it reflects your emotions is genuinely intriguing to him, and adam brags about your powers to others ALL the time

seriously though, adam is always yapping about how he has the most powerful partner and how you're powers are so unique. he genuinely admires you so much and wants everyone else to see you the same way

your powers are useful when it comes to arguments because adam is not the most self aware person, and he tends to not realize when you're upset until you actually flip out

even when you're not upset with him, adam makes sure to do his best to calm you down when he notices the weather being particularly wild

if anyone ever gives you shit about your powers, know that adam will be the first in line to punch them in the face. he knows you can't control your emotions sometimes and never blames wild weather on you

i think adams the type to enjoy warmer weather, and he always cracks the biggest smile when the weather miraculously turns to his favorite type when you're on a date together

definitely loves beach days with you, and the fact that you can make it permanently sunny is so enticing for him

honestly luci is such a sweetie when it comes to your powers. he probably picked up on them pretty quickly considering how powerful you are, but he didn't want to be nosy so he waited until you mentioned your powers to ask questions.

he definitely did have a lot of adorable questions, and was very intrigued about the fact that your emotions were the catalyst that controlled your powers.

after learning that piece of information, he starts paying attention to the weather more often. even before he's dating you, luci will call you to ask how your doing when ever he sees the weather going haywire. he's learned to prepare himself for any weather misfortunes that occur, and always comforts you when you're feeling down

lucifer is quite attentive even without your powers revealing your emotions, and he will often be able to calm you down before the weather even takes a turn for the worse

he would never want to weaponize your powers or use them in any way because he knows how closely linked they are to your emotions. howeeeeeeveeeerrrr, he does admire you when you stand up for yourself with your powers and will definitely cheer you on from the sidelines as you kick ass with the weather without even standing up

lucifers favorite weather is snow!!!! on your guys' first year anniversary, you made it snow inside your shared bedroom as a gift and luci nearly CRIES. he hasn't seen snow in years bc, yk, its hell, not very snowy weather, so the fact that you put in so much effort to make his favorite weather for him honestly makes him feel so appreciated

after that he might ask you to make it snow more often, and he loves cuddling up with you with hot cocoa to watch a cheesy movie while pretty smowflakes fall all around you both

alastor would be intrigued by your powers to say the least. he's quick to figure out what they are, and would probably be drawn to you solely because you're so powerful. in fact he'd probably either try to use you for your power or challenge you and be petty, but over time he found himself growing a soft spot not only for your weather powers, but for you

i love al but he definitely saw u as an asset at first, in fact he was probably a bit intimidated and irritated by the spontaneity of your powers, but also very intrigued by your raw ability. he probably found himself attracted to your power more than anything at first, but once he got to know you, alastor began to see you as more than an asset and as a genuine friend, and that feeling continued to grow into something alastor was very unfamiliar with.

alastor probably picked up on your feelings towards him from your powers, and the fact that flowers would literally bloom whenever he was around. it definitely improved his confidence about his feelings and he'd probably pester you a bit into admitting your feelings for him. to your shock he reciprocates, and soon you become hells greatest power couple

alastor sees it as a weakness when someone wears their heart on their sleeve and is very emotional, so he will be very protective of you when your emotions are running rampant and the weather is reflecting that

he does NOT want people to know about your powers because he wouldn't want other sinners to try to hurt you, influence you, or use you to get to him

he'd definitely help you to master them and control them better, and would probably keep track of what each form of weather means and how it correlates to each of your emotions

honestly al loves your powers, and is so intuitive about when you're getting upset. i think he's the type to enjoy rainy weather, so he loves when you make it rain. while he rarely sleeps, once he trusts you enough some nights he'll ask you to make it rain at nightime because the soothing noise helps him sleep

Vox

vox understands that sometimes sinners aren't always happy about the powers and forms they receive in death- for goodness sake, he literally lost his head and has to deal with having a literal television as a head, so he understands it if you struggle with your powers

vox would encourage you to use your power, in fact he would probably love to see you electrocute your enemies or blow them away, vox is entranced by power and would be even more attracted to you if you were powerful

loves when you make it storm during alastors broadcasts so the radio is always staticy and cutting out, it always makes him giggle

it took vox a while to notice your powers, but once you fully explain them, he has LOTS of questions

hes a bit worried about your rain and his TV head at first, after all electronics and weather don't often mix, so he makes sure to waterproof himself and any technology you migh be around

(theres something so poetic about him falling in love with someone who holds the power to dismantle his entire technological empire and destroy his existence- ok i'll stop yapping)

vox doesn't go out very often, but when he does, his favorite weather is warm weather but with a nice cool breeze.

vox would use you for weather forecasts and people often wonder how he's always so accurate! little do they know about his sweet darling controlling the weather for him!

sometimes vox will text you in the morning with a goofy guess on what the weather will be today, something crazy like "the sky will be green" and lo and behold, when he opens his curtains, the sky is green and he is very, very surprised

ʚ LUCIFER .

lucifer loves bringing you to the prettiest places he can find. he'd wrap you tightly in his arms, unfurling his wings and allowing them to warm up with gentle flaps. he reassures you every time before take-off, his legs gently pushing the both of you from the handrail of your balcony as his feathered blades softly fanned the still air, flying at a steady and comfortable pace. if you request for him to stop mid air for a picture, he'll gladly do so until you get the perfect shot of the scenery in hell.

the sin filled air gently brushes past your face, your hands holding dearly onto lucifer as well as your camera. you take note of every detail you can get from the places where lucifer flies by, the sparkle in your eyes never fading ever since he suggested another one of your favorite dates. his heart melts every time he sees your excitement, a soft smile unknowingly creeping up onto his lips.

"darling, could you do me a favor and close your eyes for a moment? we're about to arrive at the special place i mentioned." with a nod, you close your eyelids gently; all you can see now is the weak light that shines through your eyelids. lucifer mutters a quick thank you, pressing a sweet kiss onto your forehead and increasing his speed through the air. you can hear the sounds of his wings flapping louder than before.

it wasn't long until everything came to a halt, lucifer slowly lowering the both of you from the air until the ground came in contact with your feet. you can practically hear the excitement in lucifer's voice. he cups your eyes from behind, fingers blocking the light that was previously visible through your eyelids as he guides you to walk around the unfamiliar surroundings step by step. "almost there, i just know you'll love it."

"getting impatient here, luci." you state playfully with a light chuckle, following his guide with your hands clutching onto the camera hanging from your neck. "alright. on three, i'll be removing my hands from your eyes. don't get too sucked up by the beautiful view by then,"

a sense of exuberance bubbles inside of you as you listen to his countdown, an uncontrollable smile stretching your lips. "and.. three." lucifer removes his hands from your face, the brightness stinging your eyes which took you a short moment to adjust to the lightning. you blink, the breathtaking scenery displayed in front of you sucked your breath away immediately. the sky is a beautiful shade of red and purple that perfectly med together, and the sunbeams illumined the immediate surroundings, partly obscuring the sky-high mountains a great distance ahead.

the scenery stole your ability to speak for minutes before you snapped back to reality, throwing yourself into lucifer's arms. you wrap your arms around his lean figure, feeling him returning your tight hug as well. "thank you for bringing me here! oh satan, this will be perfect for my collection."

you claim with a sing-song tone, abruptly pulling away from the hug to start taking perfect shots of the scenery before losing the chance to. you need the pictures in your camera, and you're not going home until you're satisfied. you take your time to perfect every angle and lightning, fully absorbed by photography at the moment.

lucifer watches you from the side, his gaze fixated on your every movement and the excitement that displays on your face, leaning his weight further onto his cane. it's always moments like this that remind him how deeply in love he is with you, always causing him to fall in love all over again.

ʚ ANGEL DUST .

there is no designated spot, but angel loves going on shopping sprees with you. he calls it the ideal date; going for spa, clothing, accessories, you name it. he loves the idea of spoiling each other, where the both of you would take turn to pay for anything the both of you got. the both of you will talk and laugh about anything while walking, hips practically linked together as you walk. at the end of everything, the two of you will sit together at the place where you both first met, silently appreciating each other's comforting presence while talking about memories you shared together.

"oh baby, look at these gems they're sellin'!" angel pulls you by the arm, pressing himself against the wide glass window with multiple sunglasses on display. one particular design caught his eye; it's displayed in the middle among the others. with his toothy grin widening, he glances at you with a click on the tongue. "i say we hit the jackpot t'day, dont'cha agree?"

"jackpot indeed, these babies are definitely worth it. shall we head in and get ourselves a matching pair of them?" you link your arm with his as he presses a quick kiss onto your forehead, mumbling a small 'ya know me so well' before walking into the store with you. the welcome bell rings the moment you push the door open, the store owner's head shooting up from the cashier almost immediately. a wide smile appears on their face, excited to welcome the both of you while jogging towards your direction.

"welcome, welcome! what an honor to have the famous couple visiting my little store. has anything caught your eyes, my dear? or would you like me to pair you up with some that matches you?" the owner clasped their hands together beside their face, their gaze constantly shifting between you and angel, feeling absolutely thrilled.

angel points his thumb towards the same glasses he told you about outside the store, shifting his weight to one leg. "are those still available? we'll take two of 'em please." giving a quick glance at the direction angel is pointing at, the owner nods with their eyes lighting up.

"fabulous choice, they're the customer's all-time favorite! you're in luck today, there are only two stocks left. i'll go grab them for you."

the owner turns their back and walks towards the big shelves storing nicely packaged sunglasses. with a brief scan, they reach out to grab the two boxes on one of the shelves. the boxes are rose gold while the others are white, making them easy to look for. they jog towards you and angel, holding out the two boxes in their hands. "all nice and packed, the glasses you asked for! go ahead and try them on, I'll be waiting behind the counter."

you accept the boxes with a mutter of 'thank you', passing one of the boxes to angel. he whistles, practically ripping the glasses out from the box. "these babies are prettier up close! feelin' sexier with them on, what 'bout you?" you chuckle at angel's claim, playfully rolling your eyes at him before trying the sunglasses on. the light around your eyes instantly grows soft and comfortable, allowing your eyes to relax while looking around.

"how do i look? they feel perfect on me."

"absolutely perfect!" angel exclaims while throwing his arms up in the air, unable to contain the excitement in his voice. his smile is wide enough to flash the golden tooth he has as his arm embrace your waist, his upper pair of his arm pinching your cheek playfully. "if it looks perfect on me, it'll definitely look perfect on ya."

you laugh, pressing a kiss onto his hand that pinched your cheek. "whatever you say, dear. now let me go pay for these then we'll be done with shopping." he tags along as you pay for the sunglasses, thanking the store owner before exiting. you walk down the street with your arm linked with angel's, your sunglasses sitting neatly on the top of your head.

"headin' to the garden t'day?" angel questions while walking down the familiar street with you. you nod, keeping your gaze up ahead. "nonsense, 'course we are. it's something we do after every date, my favourite part actually."

ʚ ALASTOR .

alastor values quality time together, which results in long walks being his favorite dates with you. he always has the best places to take you on walks, sometimes even preparing a gift for you if he manages to get his hands on one. the walk would most likely be filled with comfortable silence unless you're a chatty one, to which alastor would be more than happy to listen. he's a great listener, after all, listening to you talk makes him feel content as well. physical affection will be reduced in public, but if you're in a secluded area and he's comfortable enough, you may receive some small affectionate kisses; on your hands especially.

your surroundings are almost dead silent; these sinners either do their best to avoid alastor - the radio demon, or whisper about the both of you. not that you mind, you prefer things staying as it is since neither of you would have to worry about anyone disrupting your peaceful little date. with a hum, you adjust your sleeves, parting your lips to spark up yet another topic that so happened to cross your mind.

"have i told you about the new pictures i've taken recently?" you flash him a smile, excited to share your new works for photography. with an acknowledged hum, alastor gently shakes his head as he keeps his hands neatly folded behind him. "i suppose you have not. do enlighten me, my dear." you're delighted that he's willing to listen as always; something about it just draws you more towards his charm.

"gladly! you see, i hung out with rosie a few days ago since she wouldn't stop asking me about it." you pause for a quick moment before speaking again. "i'd say the cannibal town fascinates me all the time. i took pictures of the scenery there, and of course, lots of rosie because she's so photogenetic. speaking of which," something clicked in your head. you shuffle through your pockets and pull out a polaroid, placing it in front of alastor. "have a look at one of them, i happened to bring one with me."

he takes the polaroid from your hand, flipping it over to see the picture you've taken. it's a picture of rosie in a field of black roses, even embracing some in her arms. she's smiling at the camera - alastor assumes that it was rosie who suggested that you take a few snaps with your photography skills. angle, lightning, poses, you've perfected everything in this picture alone.

as always, your skills never fail to amaze alastor no matter how many times he sees your work. "such ravishing work of art! i am absolutely floored." the grin on his face softens ever so slightly, a sign that shows that he's being genuine. he passes the little piece of picture back into your hands, his gaze now fixated on you. you keep the polaroid back in your pocket nicely, giving it a light pat.

"my, im honored. is this an attempt of yours to flirt?" you chuckle playfully despite knowing full well that your comment was fully incorrect. you just like messing around, is all. alastor shakes his head at your miserable attempt to poke fun at him, laughing lightly. he stops in his tracks, scanning his surroundings briefly. not many sinners around, it should be alright.

"ha-ha! of course not, my dear. though, this should count as one." small steps, alastor now stands before you. your eyes search his in confusion, tilting your head slightly as you try to figure out what could he possibly be planning. his hand moves to hold yours with a good amount of delicacy, his face leaning down closer to your hand with each passing second until his lips press against your knuckles. he lets them linger on your warm skin before pulling away, his lips leaving a cold sensation along with an odd warmth spreading across your skin.

you stare at him, breathing almost coming to a halt as you watch the smugness on his face grow. a light blush tints your face and ears, your gaze growing avoidance to his soul-piercing one. it's clear that he's enjoying the reaction you hold. "not going to comment on it? is it because my 'attempt at flirting' worked well this time?" his words made you roll your eyes, playfully sighing in annoyance. of course he'd pull this trick, how did you not see it coming?

"no comment." is all you said to answer his question before motioning for him to lean in closer. he did as you asked without question, figuring that there might be something you'd like to tell him. a kiss on his cheek from you caught him by surprise as it was not what he expected to happen. "guess you're not the only one able to pull this trick. we're equal now, yes?"

Here I am with the ask!!! I was wondering if I could request headcanons for Adam, Alastor, Lucifer, Vox and Lute with how they would be with a sloth like S/o. I saw someone ask this on a blog I follow and I was stoked, I love this concept so much it's so funny I decided it's my favorite. INSANELY sleepy s/o, they sleep ALL the time and still manage to be super sleepy, they'd be walking down the street? They randomly fall asleep while walking, needless to say that's very dangerous in hell. In heaven a bit less, but let's say falling asleep while flying is definetely dangerous too. They're talking to someone? They might be trying to pay attention but still can't help help falling asleep, characters like Adam and Luci would definetely have no problem with that tho. They are incredibly slow, and also have the sloth tendency to climb(for the tall ones) and cling to said partner and hang onto them like ragdolls. They can stay awake if they replenish the energy they use immediately or by being monitored, but they're very concerning. I imagine warm milk would probably knock them out cold, coffee probably does little to nothing, maybe a huge amount would keep them on the brink of consciousness lol. (Sorry this got long, that's how much I find this concept hilarious, you don't actually have to include all everything I said if you don't wanna I was just rambling)

There’s a solid chance he makes fun of you for your sleepy antics, but only he can do that, no one else!

Unlike Hell, if you fall asleep on the side of the road in Heaven, he’ll just toss ya over his shoulder like nothing happened

Honestly, Adam is pretty tall, and he’s got a bit of muscle under his fit, so he doesn’t mind a bit if you climb about him and all that

Alastor

Honestly, Alastor doesn’t mind your sleepy antics, it gives him an opportunity to get whatever he needs done for that time until you awake again

Although, he probably won’t let you climb him though, due to his dislike of physical touch, but dw he’ll let you cling to him a bit

If you start to daze off while he’s talking he won’t mind, his smile will soften, and he’ll tug you to his chest, talking you to sleep

Lucifer

You guys don’t go out much, so it’s not often you fall asleep on the streets, but if you do, he’ll pick you up bridal style, he won’t make a big fuss about it, at least until you get home

Like Alastor, if you fall asleep mid convo, he won’t mind, he’ll just bring you to his chest and talk you to sleep

Although he is on the shorter side, if you wanna climb him, he’ll certainly let you! He thinks it’s the cutest thing!

Lute

Honestly, Lute hates it when you sleep a lot, as because of her job, she’s busy most of the time and can’t see you, so when she does see you, and you’re asleep, it’s eh…

If you climb on her, she’ll tense up a bit, but she won’t deny it, but there’s a chance she will the first few times. Affection is new to her.

Vox

He’s another tall one, so you could climb on him, but he’s a bit of a twig tbh, so he might not be able to hold you 😭

If you fall asleep during conversation, he’ll be all pissy, but if you fall asleep ON him, bro glitches so bad

Tried to make sure you don’t fall alseep on the streets in the first place, but if you do, bitch is waking you up, ain’t no way he’s carrying you

You and lucy had been dating for years now in secret. fans not knowing anything at all only spectating from the sidelines or when you both would hint a your relationship without people being able to connect the dots.

Well you were tried of always having to be private. you wanted to be able too have the closeness that other couples had when posting there significant other.

You wanted to post lucy and her doing the same.doing couple dumps being able to post each other's matching outfits, date days pictures, post about each other's your miles stones or instead want the public to know that you both were together if that was it.

Lucy on the other hand wanted to have things private which you respected at first. but thinking about it made you feel like she doesn't want people to know your together or she's ashamed of being with you.

you decided to ignore those thoughts. and would try bringing up how you want to open your relationship to the public more. Letting them know you both are together. which you plan on doing this night as lucu would be taking you out to both's of your favorite restaurant.

The night arrived where you and Lucy arrived at the restaurant everything was going well she was always treating you like a goddess who's feet just landed on earth.

"You always teat me so well". you told her

"If I didn't who was gonna do it huh". She told you while rubbing your hands with hers.

"Your honestly the best".

"All because of you baby". She said.

It took you a while before getting anything out of your mouth which lucy noticed how tense you got during your conversations when she asked if you were okay.

"You okay baby your body feels tense". She told you.

"Yeah I just got something to tell you". You told her.

"What is it you can always tell me anything".

"Well I was thinking maybe we should be more open about our relationship to the public".you told her.

"What I thought you we're happy with our private life".

"I'm it just that it would be nice to let our fans know about us". You told her back.

You were starting to get really irritated at licy right now cause it would always be the same excuse she wasn't ready or how would other's think of you both.

"Oh my god lucy I'm your fucking finance and it wouldn't hurt for you to let people know". You yelled at her ignoring the looks you were getting

"Baby please calm down we can talk about this somewhere more private". she told you

"Always fucking private with you never wanting to deal with things now if your ashamed of us just say so you don't need to be coming up with all these bullshit excuses". You told her

"Baby don't say that of course I'm proud of us".

"Don't call baby me cause if you we're actually proud you'd want people to know". With that you left the restaurant before lucy could say anymore.

You arrived at your shared apartment pissed off and decided to head too bed but instead you caught yourself looking at pictures of you and Lucy together that you would love to share but instead didn't.

You heard the front door open deciding not to deal with lucy you turned of your phone fake sleeping not wanting to deal with her. not realizing you fell asleep pretty quickly.

The next day came quickly you did your best ignoring lucy the whole even though you both lived together doesn't mean you couldn't.

lucy had enough with you ignoring her and decided to end whatever silent treatment you were giving her.

"Okay I get that your angry about yesterday and how it was handled but we can't do this if your here not communicating with me". she told you

"You made it pretty clear to understand yesterday that you're ashamed of us as a couple and I'm taking time to that".

"If you'll listen to me I'm not ashamed of us I just don't know what to expect you know how the public gets and I can't stand to see get hate from it".

"I know baby but you can't always stop what other people are gonna say at the end of the day it just gonna be just me and you".

"Yeah I'm sorry for the way I handled things last night".she told you

"Me too sorry for yelling and cursing you out".

"It okay I lowkey deserve it".she told you before pulling you into a kiss.

"Lucia".you whined

"How about we post those pictures you want huh". she told you.
