Was it all in my fantasy?
Were you only imaginary?
(lyrics under cut)
Where are you now?
Was it all in my fantasy?
Where are you now?
Were you only imaginary?
I remember tears streaming down your face
When I said, "I'll never let you go."
When all those shadows almost killed your light
I remember you said, "Don't leave me here alone,"
But all that's dead and gone and passed tonight
Where are you now?
Atlantis
Under the sea
Under the sea
Where are you now?
Another dream
The monster's running wild inside of me
I'm faded
(Where are you now?)
Don't you dare look out your window, darling.
Everything's on fire
(Where are you now?)
The war outside our door keeps raging on
(Where are you now?)
Hold on to this lullaby (Another dream?)
Even when the music's gone
Gone
Just close your eyes
The sun is going down
You'll be alright
No one can hurt you now
Come morning light
You and I'll be safe and sound
(Where are you now?)
Just close your eyes (Atlantis)
The sun is going down (Under the sea)
You'll be alright (Under the sea)
No one can hurt you now (Where are you now?)
Come morning light (Another dream)
You and I'll be safe and sound
(The monster's running wild inside of me)
Under the bright but faded lights
You've set my heart on fire
Where are you now?
Where are you now?
Under the bright but faded lights
You've set my heart on fire
Where are you now?
So lost, I'm faded
(Just close your eyes)
These shallow waters never met what I needed
(You'll be alright)
I'm letting go, a deeper dive
(Come morning light) Eternal silence of the sea,
(You and I'll be) I'm breathing
(Safe and sound)
I'm Alive.
Was it all in my fantasy?
Were you only imaginary?

after the response to the other mashup post (where i shared the great war/ootw and wildest dreams/ttds) i decided to share more here directly!! this one is probably my favorite that i've ever done. it's the vocals from ivy with the instrumental from comeback by carly rae jepsen, which was produced by jack antonoff!
I was tagged by @captain-hen and @tawaifeddiediaz in WIP Wednesday ... so here's Snippet Sunday (is that a thing? it is now!)
I've nothing currently being worked on (everything is queued up at the moment) but I've been playing around with music mashups lately, so here's two pairs of songs that have been inextricably linked in my head for a while
Tagging: @stanningsky, @piningeddiediaz, @disasterdiaz, @barbiediaz, @like-the-rest-of-la, @mistmarauder, @tarlosbuddie and anyone else still making things lately!
i hummed a song to myself, hummed another song to myself that i was reminded of by the song i just hummed to myself because they share a theme, realized they share a key, and then realized that i would not let myself live without throwing both into audacity and birthing yet another mashup.
so that's exactly what i did!
i would post more of these two songs together, but unfortunately, they differ greatly in progression and thus i can't really mash more of the songs together in a way that makes sense. so all you get are the choruses. the chori? why is english?
Did a thumbnail for the mashup, since the original Mickey rap album was too cheesy, even for me. Also, this was my first time drawing the nephews, hope that's not too obvious lol
I'm thinking of doing thumbnails for mashups more in the future. You can find the mashup on youtube in a few hours. Might link it, might not.
filthy scavver outfit Mk 2!
the original version of Max’s outfit was the first mashup I ever made. it was satisfying at the time, but after a while the flaws in it began to bug me.
- weighting was beyond my ken so there are a lot of warped textures
- ill-considered use of the inflate/deflate tools made things very lumpy
- my patch replacements are a mess and don’t match the rest of the outfit
- the stitches look okay at a distance, not so much when you get in close
- the back logo is neat but not lore-friendly
- the band-aid scarf covers up collar strangeness and also clips into everything
and most important of all: his prosthetic leg is ON THE WRONG SIDE uggggh
so I yanked the whole thing apart and rebuilt it. I upscaled some parts and found new source textures for the rest, figured out how to mirror parts and copy bones and adjust weights, painted new textures, built zippers in Substance Painter, learned to modify and take apart nifs in Blender, organized everything into its own folders and made a proper .esp and and and and the end result doesn’t look all that much different! but I can see the changes and I no longer want to gag at the screenshots, so I’m going to count it as a win.
while I was at it I rebuilt his leg on the right side. the new socket is better suited to an above-the-knee amputation, which is what he has in this AU. also I made a few more sockets out of heavy armor pieces so I can change it and the leg itself out for different models.
2 of the 3d buttons are from Fallout 76, the Atom Cats one is made from scratch:
the back logo is also from 76:
still deciding whether to go back to the old chunky boot as the new boot is kinda twiggy around the ankle
yeah I don’t know how his hair does that around the goggle strap either, it’s a minor scav miracle. why is he wearing two belts? because they’re aesthetic, baby!
