He's like. Genuinely unsettling. Wish the show struck a better balance with his character sometimes (like sometimes when he's onscreen I have to skip over because I feel queasy and sometimes he's so unsubtle he feels more like a prop than a guy who's going to be a Huge Deal in s2)

She drops her hand, turns on her heels, and steps further into the loft. There’s no one in the kitchen or the dining table, which is as much as she can see from there. Then she takes a few more steps, her head whipping around, looking for the source of the sound.

When she finds it, Maddie’s heart all but plummets to the floor.

On the steps of the loft sits Eddie, hunched over, hiding his face in the soft fabric of what looks like one of her brother’s sweaters. And he’s crying.

No. He’s sobbing. An onslaught of gut-wrenching sobs tearing through his chest with so much force that his whole body shakes with it.

Oh, Eddie.

So since Ymber wouldn't be a deity there are some things he lacks physically - such as no pointed ears and no bright blue undertones to his hair. Just the basic blue. (does he dye it in a modern AU ? who knows) Also while he doesn't have a collar to symbolize his servitude to humans I still think he should have a choker.

I had some help a while back brainstorming how there would be some form of "superior" dynamic could still exist and I really liked the idea given that he's a famous architect. (he does design all constructs for his city as a deity so it checks out - he likes buildings) And Deacon just admires all the guy's works and never expects to run into him but of course they do! Gotta have a very awkward "oh it's you I'm going to melt into the earth" and "I have no idea who you are but we should hang out".

Sooo Deacon still just really admires Ymber and feels like they're on totally different levels and doesn't understand why Ymber would want to associate with him since he's just a "boring human".

It still blows my mind that no body wants to own movies or CDs. Like I don't like not owning any movies or shows I like and wanna rewatch. Maybe I sound like a boomer but I'm not planning on paying for Netflix for the rest of my damn life just for this one movie I love that their hosting. Imma go on the internet and get the DVD.

We really shouldn't allow these streaming services to kill DVDs and CDs. We should not let them kill physical media. They want you to not have a physical copy, so that when you stop paying, you don't have access to the product your paying for. Buy more CDs. Buy more DVDs. Buy a damn VCR. I mean shit, a fucking Xbox or playstation can play any DVD, blue ray or not. Your car has a radio for a reason.

Don't let them kill physical media. Because if or when the cards fall, you'll be left with nothing.

Rain Code Whump Tag

I decided to make a tag for my rain code whump nonsense so I can separate it from other rain code stuff. It's unoriginal I know but I figured I'd make something up.

Feel free to use this tag if you'd like if you make whump content of this series. I know I'm far from the only one who likes to torment yuma lol (tho I'm the only one who does it illness-wise, everyone else seems to like to do it more angst-wise.)

For those unaware, there are 3 main categories in whump: angst, illness and injury. The term 'whump' basically refers to making a character suffer immensely (usually for for the sake of comfort or fluff)

Either way, if you also like to write or make whump content of rain code like I do, please feel free to use this tag. I just wanted to make it to separate my sick whump related edits/art/asks. Though if you do use it please share this to spread the word c:
