TERFs out here saying you can't be a woman if you don't have a uterus. I didn't realize I was non-binary until my late 30s.

At 31 (family record), I had a full hysterectomy so I could function as a person. Do you have any idea how much pain you have to be in to be 31, no kids, and get your uterus removed?

Im watching The Magnus Archives for the first time at the behest of a friend and so far its just like

Episode 1: ok, fun little horror stories. Seems competently written, but I'm not sure how invested I'll get in a story who's format relegates plot and story progression to the background.

Episode 14: Bravo. This story really got to me. Being threatened with a future in which parts of you are removed one by one, and being powerless to stop it, just having to live with the knowledge that soon there will be nothing left? Horrifying. The Magnus Archives is a horror podcast and it does it well

Episode 16: Ok, I'm with Jon on this one. You are telling me that this guy was haunted and killed by the ghost of a vengeance addled spider? Thats ridiculous. What a way to go. It's almost funny.

Episode 34: bone apple teeth. I think I've solved it. The Magnus Archives is an absurdist comedy. The institute, a becon of knowledge and understanding, is being contrasted with these stories that defy the ability to be understood. They are researching the paranormal, which is an oxymoron. The primary humor comes from Jon, a rational skeptic failing to accept the reality of an irrational world. This contrast is further exemplified with occasional bouts of mundanity (Tim complaining about errors in recordings, Sasha pondering the pronunciation of calliope, martin not wearing trousers), which further highlight the Absurd. So many people witness events beyond their comprehension, horrific and wacky alike, and then have to just go back to their normal lives like nothing happened, and it's hilarious each and every time.

they want the other to be the same kid they trained with, the one from happy memories, promising they'll always be safe and sound by eachother's sides- but that kid is dead. the memories tainted red. it hurts, theyre angry and shut off, dont know how to read eachother like they did- their sense of saftey in the other that was left to rot in death, rediscovered as ruins needed to be rebuilt. they want it so bad it hurts, on top of all the hurt they already refused to let go of

Comments: This books is amazing and takes a interesting turn on murder mystery with formatting, it from everyone’s point of view but the suspect because “everyone thinks they know a girl better than she knows herself”.

Another thing I really like is the text messages, diary entries and news articles among other things within, it makes it interesting and makes it stand out from other books.

It’s hard to explain what it’s about with spoiling too much, but to take from the blurb it’s about a girl and boy who enter the woods and only one comes out and everyone has their own opinion of what went down, her best friend, her sister, strangers on the internet, her Ex and so much more.

All I can say is give it a go because it is amazing and will keep you reading and guessing who did what.

so i rewatched across the spiderverse and this is a thought that’s been bouncing around in my little head for awhile now but i wanna discuss!

towards the end when miles used the go home machine and they send gwen back, i noticed something interesting.

so miguel had just been the big bad guy for a while there right, with the whole chase scene and what not. and i’m sure a lot of people didn’t like him at this point — but miguel really isn’t a bad guy, he’s just overprotective af about the multiverse. we’re not supposed to hate him, but he is kinda the villain right then even tho again he isn’t a Bad Guy. like look:

so after all of him being mean, peter says he’s not coming along and miguel says this to peter: “i’ve had the right amount of you.”

now that isn’t inherently nice, but what i realized is in most instances people say “i’ve had enough of you” or “i’ve had more than enough/too much of you” but miguel didn’t. he said The Right Amount.

it’s such a minor detail but i feel like it’s such an odd way to say that phrase, and i think it’s supposed to emphasis that he’s not actually an asshole, like he doesn’t go out of his way to be mean so he won’t say the harsher version. there’s just something softer about saying the right amount than enough to me.

and yeah so it’s just my dumb little thoughts but i thought that was an interesting detail on their ends, as it’s RIGHT AFTER him being the bad guy. maybe i’m reaching but idk it stuck out to me.

edit: cause again like @parker-fluff said he is the antagonist, but not the villain, and you’re not supposed to hate him or think he’s evil. so yeah just like a little subconscious reminder that i think is cool!

maybe i also just wanna defend him because he’s pretty who knows ok bye
