Prompt: Early morning cuddles with James, a sunset, and a very annoying crow.

The window creaked as the wind shook it, the day was young and nearly everybody in the quiet dorm was sleeping. Nearly. James' eyes stared ahead, towards the hard ceiling that he swore had patterns in it. Though, when others looked they didn’t see it. 

James's hand crept up the low of your back, slow strokes guided down then back up again. He couldn’t sleep, he thought he had full vision before he realised his glasses still sat on his nose. 

A black crow scorned as it passed by the window, its caw flying through the early morning sky that was a hue of baby blues and mellow pinks. The clouds sat on the horizon, the sun just about to peak from its rest. 

The bird woke you up, your head inching into James's side as your arm clung tightly to his side. “Hey,” his soft voice greeted you, his hand had the softest touch- it felt warm under your shirt as he ran a thumb up your spine. 

He tried to lull you back to sleep, a silent prayer on his mind as he saw you squeeze back into him and your muscles relaxed. But then your eyes opened, blinking up at him as you moved to lay on your elbow. 

“Hi,” you say, moving your arm around his waist up into the air with a mighty stretch that makes you breathe out in contentment.

“Good morning,” he whispers in his doughy voice, moving himself into a stretch because before he was constrained to your body and vowed to not move despite being uncomfortable. 

“What time is it?” You asked, rubbing your eyes as you tried to look at the clock. James beat you to it, his hand guided behind your ear and his fingers sliding along your scalp. “Just after five,” he explains, pulling you closer. 

“Mm’ perfect, get to sleep in,” you mumble with a sleepy smile, sinking back down into James's open chest as your leg rolls over his hips. His lips meet the crown of your head, his hand retrieving back down to your back with that same gentle slow stroke. 

“Yeah, perfect,” he smiles, his chest rising with a breath and before it takes another you are passed out in his arms again. 

“Absolutely perfect,”

Here you are. Pacing the boys' dorm, awaiting their arrival.

You knew they were mad. You had seen their faces turn red in rage when you spotted them. When they found you sitting in the courtyard during class. But missing class wasn't why they were mad, you were sitting with some Slytherins, laughing and joking around.

Your boyfriends hate Slytherins. They all had a bad experience with them, which is what made you so nervous. You had went against them, hanging out with their enemies.

You bit down on your nails, hoping to ease some of the anxiety. You groaned in frustration, only for it to be cut short be the door slamming open.

"What the fuck y/n?" Sirius seethed. He wasn't yelling, yet.

"I..." you trailed off, causing James to step in.

"First, you skip all your classes and lunch, making us worried sick because we thought something bad happened to you."

"Then," Sirius continues. "We find you laughing with some Slytherins." he laughs an angry laugh.

"Why y/n?" Remus asked.

"I just..." you didn't know what to say. You came across Regulus Black, a used to be friend, and decided to hang out with him and his friends.

"Do you not remember the awful things those snakes have done?" Remus snapped.

"First, Snape called Lily, your best friend, that awful word." James starts off.

"Then, Snape almost told everyone about Remus' illness." Sirius continues.

"And do you know what Sirius' parents, Slytherins, have done to him?" Remus asked. "I know you know. That just shows how horrible they are."

"Not to mention the fact most of them can't even wear short sleeves. You know why? Because they are death eaters!" Sirius exclaimed.

You silently stared at them. Awaiting what would happen next.

"There is a war coming y/n. Consisting mostly of Slytherins and what do you do?" Remus seethed.

"Mm?"

"You act stupid and hang out around them! How pathetic is that?!" Sirius practically screamed, at the same time James' hands flew up to his hair, resulting in you jumping back and squeezing your eyes shut. You flinched do to the yelling and sudden movement. And once the boys noticed your current position, their shoulders fell and jaws went slack.

They knew about your experience with your ex boyfriend. It was a toxic relationship, physical, emotional, and verbal abuse taking place.

Once you realized what you just did, you straightened your figure and looked at them with wide eyes. "I'm sorry! I-I didn't mean to. T'was an accident!"

"Baby." Remus cooed, his voice lacing sadness.

"We'd never hurt you." James said.

"You know that, right?" Sirius asked. He went through abuse as a child, and the last thing he wanted to do was make you remember the torment.

"I know! I just-" you wiped away a tear that fell. "I just-" tears started to fall freely.

The three boys hesitantly stepped towards you and engulfed you in a hug. They took small steps towards the closest bed and pulled you down. You shook as tears streamed down your face and soaked the material of Sirius' shirt. Tears of their own flowing down their cheeks.

"We're so sorry baby." James soothed.

"Yeah. We didn't mean to scare you." Remus whispered.

"I'm sorry. Didn't mean to jump." you sniffled.

"No pup. We scared you. You had every right to be scared. You went through something nobody should have to. But look at you. Your so strong!" Remus said.

"Siri's strong too then." you whisper.

"Why's that?" he asked you.

"Because he went through it too." you leaned up to peck the raven haired boys lips. "So strong."

"Your both strong." James said.

"Our strong puppies." Remus said.
