Mythic May Day 15 was Sleipnir, from Norse folklore/mythology. This time I went with traditional media, and back to my gray toned sketchbook with some colored pencils and just general pencils. I sketched it out with a prismacolor col-erase pencil in green, then added the pencil sketch and other pencil detailing over to try and give my sketch some depth.

Very curious, but insanely shy. He doesn't trust humans much and tries to stay under the radar. But curiosity wins, so he always tries to get a small glimpse at people passing by from underneath lily pads. Startling when someone spots him, he dives back to the depths of his pond with a small splash of water.

It was too hot inside. So Redd and Lohn were out on the porch, waiting. Listening to the stormchasers’ radio feed - a faint chatter, ongoing, all treble and no bass. Listening to the rain. (Redd tenderly gives Lohn a haircut, and somehow they end up kissing.)
