I bought this book because I liked the cute little sheep having a wee nap on the cover.

Jokes aside I never read anything from Ottessa Moshfegh before so I didn't have any expectations or fears about her new book.

Hence, I was ready to absorb everything from this novel like a well-behaved sponge.

Then you’ve got a taxidermied roadkill raccoon for Furiously Happy! 😂 I HIGHLY recommend this book by the way for a fantastic look at mental health in a accessible, self-deprecating and hilarious way. I also studied Return Of The Native at college and loved it - I’m definitely due a re-read. I have officially joined the 'herd'.

I'm very excited about this book although it is very hard to freak me out.

Reading Anne Rice's Mayfair witches at an adolescent age did the trick for me.

Or what's more The Excalibur books by Bernard Cornwell when I was a child.

I can go further; Les Misérables by Victor Hugo when I was 5. 

So bring it on.
