“I’m gonna head in for the evening.” I spin on my heel, backing toward my room and giving a little wave. 

“Do you wanna sleep in the nest with us tonight?” Bucky offers, pressing up from Steve’s chest, gaze shining with eagerness.

I pause, freezing mid-step, thoughts sent flying.

“I wouldn’t want to intrude,” I hedge, toeing at the ground and refusing to meet their expectant gazes.

My heart pounds in my ear, body aching for theirs pressed to mine. That familiarity, that comfort from which I’ve been deprived since Steve moved in. I can be a big girl and admit I miss it. Snuggling with Bucky on the sofa doesn’t feel quite the same as when we had our nest.

They remain frozen for a moment, exchanging a glance. I wait for their reconsideration—the retraction of their offer.

But they burst like a ripe water balloon. Spewing words over each other that I can’t understand. Tangled together, they attempt to stand but fail and fall back into the cushions.

A laugh shakes my chest, fully entertained by their antics. My hand raises in a signal for them to pause.

“Just hold on a second,” I chuckle, shaking my head, “I still gotta get ready for bed. I’ll meet you in your room when I’m done.”

My eyes roll as I turn, the mirth lingering even as I prepare for sleep. Until I’m left staring at my pjs sitting at the foot of my bed. The giant t-shirt barely covers my rear, leaving an ample view of my panties clinging to my ass. Twisting one way then the other, I debate whether they’ll be comfortable with me in this, in their personal space, their nest.

“No,” I chide. Refusing to even venture down that road. Their nest. I sigh. “Fuck it.”

My door swings open, stopped from smacking against the wall by my hand. A breeze brushes past my face at the force but I hardly feel it. All my attention focuses on psyching myself up for this night I’m about to experience.

The living room is dark, probably long abandoned once I agreed to a night in their nest—platonic, it’s platonic.

I can’t help grumbling to myself as I walk the distance which stretches miles between my bedroom and theirs. My hand shakes as I reach up to rap my knuckles against their door.

But it isn’t closed, opening inward to reveal them both waiting for me with eager smiles.

Steve holds a book in his hand, looking ready to spend some time relaxing before his slumber, even as his tail flicks on the bedding in delight. Bucky, though—he’s patting the space between them with a killer smile and scrunching in his adorably excited way as if he might pounce.

I steel my nerves. Knowing this night will be a Herculean feat of self control. Cause, boy howdy, are my emotions gonna take a hit tomorrow when the offer isn’t there.

I crawl between them, movements stilted and halting. Waiting for them to change their mind until I’m laying on my back.

Bucky wastes no time at all, wrapping around me like he used to. I swallow down the tears, feeling warm and comforted by his weight. He’s heavy, it’s true, but nothing in the world can make me feel as safe and protected. To know I’ll be kept snug and cherished throughout the night.

My eyes flick to Steve, staring down at the two of us with an enigmatic smile on his lips.

“Are you sure you’re alright with this, Steve?” I ask, needing to know I’m truly welcome here.

He laughs, belly shaking. “You’re funny,” he snickers, patting me on my head with a softness spreading through his gaze. “Sleep tight, li’l one.”

My lips purse over a protest, but Bucky only draws me closer—as if he left any space between us before.

Steve may stay awake for a while to read and Bucky might rearrange us to his liking, but as soon as I let myself relax—to really revel in being held so tenderly—I’m out like a light.

A claw tickles against my cheek. Nose scrunching at the sensation, I whine in the back of my throat. I’m awake earlier than I want, that’s for sure. I’m so cozy where I am.

Last night rushes in. Pulse spiking with the realization that I am still between them. Even though Bucky, at least, is awake. I expect soon I will be excised from their nest to start the day alone.

What I don’t expect is the loving, lingering pressure of lips against mine, my cheek cupped gently by a hand.

Shock crashes over my head like a bucket of ice. My eyes snap open, Bucky retreating with a pleased smile.

A garbled sound spills past my lips—a question and accusation all in one. I rise and push at his coils around me. My stomach roils as I glance over my shoulder, seeing Steve sleeping and at peace.

“What are you doing?” I hiss, trying to stand and fighting back tears.

“Kissing you good morning,” Bucky replies, confusion etched on his brow. “I’m sorry, I couldn’t help myself—” My heart cracks at the pain in his voice, how small it becomes when he apologizes.

I swallow and push myself away from him to stand. “No,” I croak, unable to form a word in a level tone, “You’re with Steve. You can’t just—” My hands flail at the space between us, hoping to shed some kind of logical light on the situation. “Bucky, I can’t do that to you two.”

Steve stirs and awakens. The smile on his lips drops at the sight of me standing above Bucky, tears welling upon my lash line.

“Wait,” Bucky begs, reaching out for me.

I jump away from him instead, a rash decision solidifying in my head the longer I let myself look between them. A sinking feeling in my stomach.

“I’m moving out,” I announce.

“The fuck you are,” Steve retorts immediately, voice still husky with sleep. “Why?”

No one answers him. Bucky’s stunned speechless, eyes just as tear-filled as mine. And I refuse to let Bucky’s slip come between them.

After a moment of glaring between us, Steve huffs an agitated breath. “Will someone just tell me what the fuck has happened?”

“I just need to leave.” It’s not an explanation, but I can’t—I just can’t. After months of watching them together, wishing to be part of it, imagining a perfect world, to have that sweet confirmation of Bucky’s feelings after years of pining for my best friend while he’s with someone else, this last straw has broken me. “I’m so sorry.”

Steve and Bucky both start to say something, their syllables jumbled in my head while I rush from the room. They’re left behind when I stumble into my room and lock the door.

Before a clear thought forms in my head, my phone sits in my hand, calling Natasha. Willing to face her anger at being awoken so early before considering facing either of my roommates.

“Shit, shit, shit,” I chant, waiting to connect.

“This had better be life or death,” Natasha threatens over the line.

Not an ounce of me has the wit to be scared out of. I can only sniffle and say, “Tash, it’s all been fucked up. I—I can’t stay here anymore. Can I—”

She shushes me with a harsh sound. “Tell me what happened.”

“I slept in their nest last night and this morning, Bucky kissed me—like kissed me kissed me. Like he meant it. But he can’t,” I explain, sniffing and wiping my eyes on my arm. “I should never have said yes. I fucked up, Nat. Steve’s gonna hate me once he realizes. And I can’t stay when I know Bucky feels that way about me.” My voice warbles. It’s a miracle Natasha can understand a word I say, most lost in tears and hiccups and sobs.

She curses in Russian, a string of words that grate against my ear as I wait for her to say something I’ll be able to understand. “You,” she snaps over the phone, “Stay put. I’m coming over.”

She doesn’t give me a moment to respond before the call beeps in my ear, signaling that she’s hung up.

My feet would wear a hole in my rug if Natasha didn’t show up. When I hear the knock on the front door, it’s the only thing that stops me. Waiting and listening for her.

While her knock on the front door is polite, she barges into my room. The door whips in on its hinges and smacks the wall. I jump. Eyes wide and staring at my friend in what I can only assume is a hastily put on outfit of sweatpants which probably belong to Sam, an oversized shirt, and sleep mask acting as a headband for her fiery hair. She’s not even wearing real shoes, socks and fuzzy bunny slippers covering her feet. I can only imagine what she looks like without her glamour.

She mutters under her breath. More foreign phrases I can’t understand while marching behind me and pushing on my shoulders. My head shakes and I dig my heels in, but she’s much stronger than me. I stand no chance, though it doesn’t keep me from trying.

Steve and Bucky glance up as we enter the living room, both sitting on the couch with forlorn expressions marring their features.

My protest perches on my lips, but only an unintelligible noise passes before she shushes me again and sets me beside our friends and my roommates.

“I have to do everything,” she grouses, crossing her arms over her chest and glaring. She lobs what are probably frustrated Russian insults at us before running a hand down her face and groaning in irritation. “You’re all idiots.” She turns to me in a flash of movement, taking her place as the focal point in the room. “You first,” she points at me. “These two,” she gestures to Steve and Bucky, “are in love with you. Madly in love. You confessed your mutual love to them at Clint’s party a few months ago and they think they’ve been dating you ever since.”

My lips part and close. Brain trying to process the revelation. Short circuiting like a computer on the fritz.

“And you two,” Natasha continues, addressing the minotaur and naga, “she was drunk and doesn’t remember telling you. But she still loves you the same. She just didn’t realize what’s been happening.” Her hands raise in the air with a huff. “There! No more misunderstanding.”

Steve gapes at her. But Bucky looks to me, guarded. I’m still frozen, replaying every moment of our lives together since Clint’s birthday party. Piecing together each instance until the picture becomes clear.

Natasha mutters some more, spinning on her heel and marching toward our front door.

Bucky says my name, soft and searching. I snap from my daze and meet his eye.

“Is it true?” I ask, voice near a whisper.

“Yes,” Steve confirms, fingers twitching on his thigh. Wanting to reach over, but hesitant.

“Oh,” I mutter with a hard swallow. “Okay. Good.”

“Good?” Bucky asks, tone tinged with ill-concealed hope.

I nod, tearing up for an entirely happy reason.

“Very good,” I confirm, laughing and vaulting from my seat to tackle both of them to the couch—relieved and ecstatic beyond words.

They wrap me in their arms, tucked tight and safe in their embrace, each taking a moment to press their lips to mine. I sigh and snuggle into them, ready for this next chapter of our lives, finally on the same page.

Naga King Bucky Barnes x reader

Prologue

Summary : What happens when the reader mistakenly awakens the most terrible monster from his deep sleep .

Warnings : This is a dark fic, dark bucky, forced marriage, threats of non-con, breeding, more to be added in the future. 18+.

A/N : This is a dark fic and I've mentioned the warnings above so if you're are under 18 or if you're uncomfortable with the theme don't read it. And if there is a grammatical mistake just ignore it as my mother tongue is not English 😅.

It was 11:00 pm and you were preparing for bed when your phone buzzed. It was on the bedside table. You went and picked it up and there was a message from Emma.

Emma : You coming today.

You completely forgot that today your friends decided to go to the ruins of the Naga King's castle to see if his body is still there or not, like Jade and the other people claimed .

You didn't wanted to go but your friends pleaded to you to go with them so you agreed. You sent her a text back.

You : Yep

You : When ?

The text came quickly.

Emma : At 12:00am tonight.

That meant after a hour your friends would come to pick you up.

After A Hour

It was 12:00am . You got ready took your phone, a few snacks and a torch , when you heared the honking of the car. You knew your friends arrived . So you took your backpack and went outside your home without saying a word to your mom. You knew that if you say this to your mom she would never allow you to go there cause she believed in the stories. And you were sure that when she would wake up in the morning you would be back home.

You went out of your house and closed the door behind you then you saw Dave's blue Audi standing outside of the fence and Andrew was already standing outside.

You went to the car, Andrew opened the backdoor of the car and you got up. There were already two people seated. One was Emma and other most surprisingly was Jade.

“Jade ” you greeted her in surprise “I... I thought you were not coming. ”everyone laughed at your comment.

“I changed my mind. ”Jade exclaimed.

“Ok...it's enough ” Jade told excitedly. “Let's go guys. " With that Dave started the engine and drove the car away from your home to your destination.

Finally you reached your destination. Everyone got out of the car .Emma was the first one to get out, she was the most excited to be here cause it was her idea. Everyone looked happy even Jade except you.

“Y/N , aren't you excited? ” Dave asked?

“No ” you answered honestly. “I...uhh. I didn't told my mom that I'm coming here. ”that was a lie. The truth was that you were feeling uncomfortable here.You wanted to go to home cause deep inside of you there was a feeling that was screaming at you to go away from here and never return again.

“Ohh....uhh Y/N ”Emma looked annoyed. “You will be back home before your mother wakes up. ”

You knew that she was right but you were not worried for that reason. You kept the feeling aside and followed your friends.

The sky was cloudy like anytime it would rain. The full moon was hidden behind the black clouds. When you got out of your home the weather was completely different.

To reach the castle you all needed to pass the jungle on your foot cause the road was muddy and so narrow that no car could pass through it .

While you were passing the jungle, you heard such noises that made shivers run down your spine. You were very scared and the look Jade face made you realize that she was as scared as you. But Emma, Andrew and Dave were very excited. They didn't looked a little bit scared.

When you finally reached the castle. The castle was old, destroyed and it was much smaller than it should have been. You knew that the rest of the castle was under the ground.

All your friends entered the castle with a large window that was present there cause the castle gate was deep inside the ground. When you entered there it was pitch black you took out the torch that you brought with you. Your friends did the same and took out their phones or torches.

While you all were exploring the castle you all were separated from each other but didn't went too far you heard Jade screaming. So you left the old book that caught your attention. You hurried downstairs where Jade was. Emma and Andrew were already there .

You saw Jade was so scared that she was about to cry. Emma and Andrew looked annoyed.

“What happened? ”you asked tensed.

“Jade here claims to see a big snake tail outside the room. ”Andrew looked annoyed.

You went to Jade and comforted her. Though your friends won't believe Jade but you thought that maybe Jade is right.

“Guys come here, look what I found. ”Dave screamed.

You rushed to the room where Dave was. When you entered the room it looked like a bedroom to you. There you saw a coffin. It was dusty and old .

“I think the remaining of the king's body must be in this coffin. ”Dave exclaimed.

“So what are you waiting for , let's open it.”Emma looked excited.

Dave tried to open it but he was unsuccessful in his effort. So he aquired Andrew's help to open it. They both tried to open it and finally they were successful .

But when they opened the box there was nothing. They were all dishearten when they found out there was nothing. So you all decided to explore the castle a little bit more and then return home.

Then you all were separated once more and started exploring. You then found a room whose door was closed and something was carved to it in a language you didn't understand. You opened the door and went inside.

When you went inside your torch automatically turned off. You tried to switch it on and then it fell down on the ground. It was completely dark so you could not see where it went.

You took out you phone and turned on the flashlight. Then you saw a man sleeping on a bed. You went near him and then you saw a locket with a green gem hanging from his neck. Without thinking anything you touched it.

After that everything started to shake .You started to feel dizzy and your head hurted. You went near the door of the room and were about to get out when unconsciousness greeted you and everything went black.

Summary: Wandering an ancient castle at night was the most stupid decision you have ever taken.

Trembling at the sight of a monstrous shadow creeping forward, its scaly tail slithering across the floor, you tried remembering why the hell the thought to sneak into Count Alexander’s abandoned castle seemed like a good idea to you. Surely, you hoped to find a couple of spell books, maybe even recipes of some ancient potions, but you heard those rumors about that place being cursed and a terrifying creature living within its walls, ready to punish whoever tried stealing anything from the castle. Of course, you didn’t believe it. Who in the right state of mind thought monsters still existed, less protected secrets of a place that had been abandoned several decades ago?

You were so reckless, thinking of it as something exciting, thrilling, your own little adventure inside an ancient castle; you had been so willing to discover its dark secrets. Oh, if only you stayed home that night! If only you were sane enough to at least take more protective amulets or a charmed sword... not that they would make any difference, though. The creature chasing you had been immune to any charms, ancient like the castle itself, and you knew you stood no chance against it.

Reaching dead end, the room where you ended up having no other doors other than the one leading to the corridor with a monster following you, you bumped into the large wooden table with layers of dust over it, dirtying your fingers. You were shaking badly, trying to think of anything to keep the creature away, refusing to listen to its soft humming. God, would he eat you alive? Tear your apart, slowly breaking your every limb? Would he grant you a quick death or prolong your suffering? You knew he wouldn’t let you go despite your crying and pleading.

“Say the right words, little bird.” The creature hummed with content, and you saw his horrifying form slowly emerging through the open door: he had been some monstrous hybrid between a human and a giant snake, his upper body belonging to a man, his skin pale and bruised, but instead of legs he had a horrendous tail, its scales ashy black as if they were made from some dark metallic materia.

Hiccupping from terror you felt, you pressed your dirty palm against your mouth, tears streaming down your cheeks. The monster was looking right at you, towering above you - he had been at least three meters tall with that tail of his, even his human part twice bigger than normal, his claws long and sharp like razors.

Oh, if only you stayed home tonight.

“Say the right words.” He repeated, getting so close you could feel the scales on his tail rubbing against your legs, almost making you lose consciousness from both fear and disgust.

Yes, the words. Something that would trigger his curse as he was bound to guard this place like a hound loyal to its owner. You didn’t know why he needed those since you were an intruder, anyway, but maybe it was because the creature didn’t see you taking anything that belonged to his master - you didn’t find anything worth taking yet.

Did it mean he would let you go if you didn’t prove you were a thief? As the naga man - he was a naga, one of monsters who were believed to go extinct centuries ago, you were sure - lowered his face closer to yours, inhaling the smell of your hair, you knew he wouldn’t let you go regardless of whether you say the words or not.

“You will kill me, won’t you?” You blubbered like a child, averting your eyes just not to look him into the face, afraid to see the wild expression he wore. “Why would I say the words?”

“I won’t kill you, little thing.” He let out a low chuckle, baring his sharp fangs, and you felt like you were going to vomit any second, your knees trembling so much you barely kept yourself standing. “But you got to say the right words.”

Breaking out into a cold sweat, you felt his chapped lips brushing against your cheeks and going lower as he was softly nipping his way down your skin. Saints, he was almost kissing your neck. He had been so gentle you didn’t even feel his fangs scratching your skin despite your fear he would finish you off in a moment. As the creature leaned closer, you were forced to retreat, bending backwards more and more, but the monster had no trouble moving down with you until his scaly hips were pressed firmly against yours.

“Please, don’t kill me.” You murmured, closing your eyes firmly as the creature put his arms around you like a man would. “I... I wanted to borrow a spell book.”

“Not to borrow, birdie.” The monster grinned at you, baring his teeth again in an attempt to scare you even more.

“No.” You gulped down the saliva that gathered in your mouth, still averting your eyes and looking at the creature’s chest. “I... I wanted to steal it.”

“That’s right. You wanted to steal it.” He repeated, binding your legs with his tail and pinning you to the table while you sobbed, turning your head to the side to avoid looking at him. “You are a thief, and I am the protector of whatever lies within these walls.”

He lied about leaving you be, didn’t he? He would kill you, for sure. How could you trust a snake, anyway? Now he would sink his fangs into your neck and poison you, then devour your flesh till nothing but bones is left. Maybe the poison would kill you instantly, you hoped.

That nasty rubbing of his scales against your hips was making you more and more nauseated as you bit down on your lower lip, hoping it would end soon.

“But if you stay here with the book you wanted to take, you won’t be a thief.” The creature said, flicking its forked tongue, and you felt something pocking at your hip right through the scales of his tail, realizing with horror what these things were. “If you stay here with me, I will be protecting you as much as anything within these castle walls...”

Oh, if only you stayed home tonight.

1000 years ago.

Bucky Barnes was a monster. Most cruel who was despised by everyone. He was the son of a princess and a naga king. He was even crueler than his father. In fact his mother even killed herself for giving birth to a monster of a son.

When he was only 18 years old he killed his father and became the king. His only dream was to conquer the whole world and become the king of all. He killed everyone whoever came in his way.

One day when the Gods heard of his cruelty and murderous nature. They themselves came on earth and give him the curse of sleeping forever as they could not even kill him. Then his body was kept in his castle and locked it away.

The curse could only be broken if a beautiful lady touched his body.

Present Day.

“People believe that his body is still there in the ruins of his castle ”. With this Jade completeted her stupid naga king story.

And of course no one believed in the existence of such a creature its just a story right.

And about the still presence of his body is just a rumor. His castle is believed to be present at the forest of your small town . Now just it ruins remain there.

First of all you don't believe in the story of the naga king and your friends don't believe it too except Jade. Second of all its 21st century and who believes in nagas and all.

“Ohh such a stupid story ” Andrew exclaimed.

“ And who in 21st century believes in such stories ”. You told and with that all your friends started laughing at Jade.

“Y/N's right ” Dave told “Jade are you crazy? Who the hell believes in such stories ”.

“You believe me or not it's true and in fact the ruins of his castle is still present ” Jade argued.

“If it's true why don't we go to his castle today night and see it ourselves” Emma told in an exciting tone.

“Guys this is not a good idea ” Jade told worriedly.

“No it's not a good idea but it's an excellent idea ” Andrew chuckled.

“Y/N are you coming? ”Dave asked .

“I.... I don't know, if my mom will allow me or not ”you told seriously.

“Come on ,Y/N , you're not a child anymore. You can make your own decisions ”Emma exclaimed.

“Okk... I'm coming ”you told realizing that they were right you're not a kid anymore and you could make your own decisions.

Jade looked worriedly at you all and looked like wanted to say something but held it, knowing that none of you will believe her. She got up and went away.

Then the bell for your next period rang and you were heading towards your class. You were excited to visit the castle today at night but somewhere deep inside you told you to listen to Jade and not to go to the castle but you ignored it and thought that it's just because of Jade's story.
