there was always a sort of... romantic tension between the two of u but nothing would come of it.

Some things abt monster high (2022) ships!

Draculaura x Lagoona

This ship made some sense to me after the episode w who gets voted head fearleader. They really seem to at least, connect with each other. And hinted at a bit in over bro tective. Probably my second favorite mh ship. However I believe the movie episode makes Lagoona x Gill seem like it could become canon however they have literally never interacted onscreen yet. Lagoona has two hands too so. Honorable mention to Twyla x Lagoona bc of the movie episode although as an nd person it came off more like nd solidarity. I relate Lagoona's 'chomps' to some aspects of my bpd and Twyla is of course canonically autistic. But also as a ship I think it could work, as literally nd4nd is so real.

Draculaura x Manny Taur

This is one of those one-sided rivalry turned study buddies turned ship things, I don't think I ship it a lot but it seems plausible except that Manny seems to be more a side character. The kind of ship that would probably happen irl and be relatively stable. The episode where Clawd first appears was when I felt this seemed to show up.

Draculaura x Clawd

This. Like. Tbh I feel Draculaura didn't exactly show kindness towards Clawd due to being worried about her vampirism in that ep. But the resolution of the conflict in this ep kind of made me realise that they may actually be hinting at this ship in canon(maybe a call back to older versions of mh) although I did not expect that

For what it's worth I don't really know if I see Draculaura as into any of these characters romantically. Maybe bc she always seems more focused on other things but. Also I feel that makes her come off as a character whos either into multiple people or not into anyone, also gives room for an aro or arospec interpretation but.

I feel that could be true of Clawdeen and Clawd as well, tbh those three just. Don't seem all that invested in romance or interested in others that way. I also think Twyla and Draculaura(more so movie version than show tho) and Torelei (yeah ik shes like. mean but Im apl and literally not my fault half the apl coded characters r villains or bullies) also come off as aplatonic or aplspec coded.

Frankie x Cleo

This. Probably my mh otp. Horoscare hints at this ship so much and so does that episode where they find the mummy necklace thing! The ship I think is most likely to be canon! They even show Frankie blushing and stuff like. Theres a lot of things that make it clear they're implying romance in terms of how cartoons tend to imply ships. Also one episode description for a future episode literally involves Deuce being a wingman for Frankie to ask Cleo to the monster ball!!

I think I definitely ship this in an arospec way bc Im arospec but. Quoiromantic greyromantic Frankie is such a headcanon I have and maybe Demiromantic Cleo bc. I also feel Cleo would realise her feelings after Frankie realised theirs. Although I also see Frankie having trouble interpreting their feelings towards Cleo or maybe not.

In one episode a playback of Clawdeen's monster minute is shown in which she says something about who she thinks is cute but it cuts off before any names are said (I believe it could be Deuce or Howleen. My partner and I even have a lighthearted bet on this in case it gets revealed, they guess Duece and I guess Howleen. Theres also the chance that neither and/or it is not revealed). It is to be considered that in the movie Deuce and Clawdeen do have chemistry but. I don't see that in this version at all tbh. Clawdeen doesn't seem to have romantic chemistry with anyone in the show tbh. And neither does Deuce imo

I do know that one sided Heath x Abbey is. Kind of noticeable but tbh Abbey is new to school at monster high and also I dont think its ever hinted that she feels the same about Heath although its possible she does and this ship may become canon?

Thoughts about sorawo and toriko?

oh my god so many. keep in mind i havent reread the novels in maybe a year now so i might be off with some of the stuff im about to say...

i have many thoughts on sorawo and toriko SEPARATELY But from the phrasin of this and also assumin u meant like them romantically iwill sally forth. bonus drawing if u make it all the way thru this word vomit

i think the main reason i love the main pairing together is because of the slow burn and also because i think they are (slowly) growing together and enabling each other to become better versions of themselves. and they both (while stumbling and not through perfect efforts) try to leave each other space and push each other to recover from their respective traumas. its all very sweet and very human. sorawo's side is more obvious: i think meeting toriko has allowed sorawo to feel like she has more self control over her life, and also (slowly) i think befriending toriko means for sorawo, shes slowly opening her heart for other people in her life. esp with the series opening the way that it does with sorawo going "nobody would miss me if i died. except the debt collectors" and then toriko entering and not leaving her alone which then starts a whole domino cascade of events that end up with sorawo being surrounded with people who do love and care for her. aueugsdhfshfrg (emotional). on a side note i like how miyazawa gives sorawo agency in her growth---i think too often a character who is traumatized gets sort of shuttled in to a specific road of recovery, and if they display behaviors or opinions that appear antithetical to their recovery, i feel like they get infantilized like oh you dont know your own mind and stuff. but with sorawo miyazawa lets her take things at her own pace, set her own boundaries, and have like idk emotions seen as more "flawed" than usual. i enjoy it it also feels very human and compassionate of the story

toriko is a whole other story. i think her growth is a lot more subtle since we dont see a lot of her pov and we have to infer what is happening from sorawo's erm... unreliable narration at times. with toriko i think at first she reaches out to sorawo for the same reason sorawo is drawn to her---they're both very lonely and isolated people. over time however, i think toriko (esp in vol 8) has shown a lot of growth as she is now able to take sorawo's apparent rejections less personally if that makes sense? like she's gained the self confidence to stand on her own two feet which is a change from the start of the series where she was depending on different people (satsuki then sorawo) to make herself feel more complete. idk if that makes sense and i might be completely off on that mark lmao again i havent read the novels in a hot sec. i think sorawo's part in this is sorawo treats toriko as an equal for the most part, which is something she didnt probably get with satsuki. i imagine this allowed toriko to feel more loved, but also allowed her to do a lot more self reflectiona nd growth. love her to bits sorry if any of this is wrong also i feel like im forgetting things

tldr i love stories where traumatized characters meet each other by chance and then become best friends (accomplices) and then fall for each other while becoming better versions of themselves in the meanwhile. and soratori is really good at exploring the dynamics of this <3 yay

Do u mind answering some questions? i would like to know about callie. i mean, she is six or so. how did she get to camp? her mom/dad dropped her there and left? a stayr? bc i image that it may be different from the way in which the stoll arrived. does connor feel kind of protective with her? not just because she is a toddler, but also bc he was the same age when he first stepped on camp. And she arrived kind of the middle of the war. What travis and connor make her do when they are in the battle? Does she wake up in the middle of the night terrified bc of nightmares? i mean how a toddler deals with all of that? do travis and connor send everyone back to sleep and take her out to calm her down? i cannot imagine their suffering during and after the war.

I just realized sth: does callie (and other hermes children) really mistake the stolls names or she does it on purpose most times? bc i believe that after some time that u r all day and night with people that look alike, u can say who is who better than others. So I imagine that Callie tries to seem confused and cute so she can change the focus of what is happening (pranks, lies, not the importamt things). I also think that she and the others can identify the brothers even if they dont see their faces. And another question: when does travis let the children get away with lies? cause his lies detector is always turn on and he knows that better than anyone. So he knows they are children and they do not need to be call out all the time and that should feel they fool their authority figure/got away with sth, even if the things are just small ones well, i think thats really everything, thank u!

To answer your questions, it's probably not what you want to hear 😣 but I like to picture Callie as a well-adjusted demigod for her age with loving parents who probably wanted her to start her demigod training early because weird things started popping up and they didn’t want to take any risk. I don’t think I had anything tragic planned for her like I did for my other OCs. I was going to write a one-shot for her where she tells the brothers apart by what snacks they like but I got ideas for Lee’s and Michael’s parts and they took years to write that I completely forgot about the cabin 11-snack chapter 😅. It’s more fluff than angst, so I don’t know if you’ll like it. But I like to think Travis and Connor are protective of her, just like they are with the rest of their cabinmates. I don’t think any of the counselors are crazy enough to let anyone under 10 or 9 fight, so I just picture them ordering their younger siblings to hide in their cabins. And those that they think are too scared/too incapable to fight like how I pictured in Clovis-nightmare. 

do travis and katie end together? 

I'm sorry, but there won't be any chapters with Katie and Travis in a romantic relationship. I probably won’t write Travis or Connor in any romantic/sexual relationship. Mostly because writing romance takes me a long time and also because I like the Will/Travis ship and I headcanon Connor as aroace. Sorry to disappoint. 

Friendship and familial relationships are far easier for me to write so that’s why the series is full of the & tags.

I like to think most of yearrounders can tell Travis and Connor apart in seconds (except for Clarisse, because I legit don’t think she would hang out with them for any extended period of time), but for the summer-only campers I think it’s harder for them. I never been to summer camp so maybe I’m very wrong, but there’s not many one-on-one interactions with the head counselor unless needed, right? They’re just the people that keep things in order and help out the campers that's struggling to adjust? Especially in a big cabin like Hermes, not every camper will have a close relationship with Travis and Connor to the point they can tell them apart quickly. 

But they can always get them back to back and compare the heights easily enough lol 😆

Now given his sleeping patterns, it is a little hard for the both of you to meet up for any kind of outings, these would mostly be happening later in the evening and into the night given his aversion to sunlight, but he manages to work his schedule just right between his unit work and when he sleeps. Another cat lover! Perhaps the both of you would like to go to a cat cafe for one of your dates? It would be something that he would find both enjoyable and relaxing, especially if you get to be there with him.

His schedule is quite busy sometimes given the work he has with his unit, Knights, but if you would like, you could always join him when they have practices and lives. Honestly, the thought of you being in the crowd and cheering him on makes this young vampire smile.

Speaking of his unit, the others absolutely adore you and they protect their own, and given that they now see you as one of their own, they will protect you just as you protect Ritsu. It is what a Knight does, after all.

Ritsu is big on giving you those words of affirmation. He may not be too much of a talker, and he really isn't that down on himself, but he would never want you to be down on yourself. He wants you to know that he is committed to this relationship no matter what it takes.
