In the haze of a glowing backdrop akin to a hundred tiny suns dancing on the brink of twilight, stands a woman, draped in the enigma of deep space and the spark of rebellion. She is a cosmic troubadour, a siren among the stars, her hair a cascade of electric blue that seems to echo the mysteries of a nebula swirling somewhere in the vast abyss. Her gaze is a calculated interplay of audacity and calculation, the kind that has stared down the darkness and found a flickering light within.

Clutched in her arm like the last vestige of hope against a tide of oppression is a pilot's helmet, its orange hue a defiant flame in a sea of tyranny. Her jacket, adorned with the marks of her allegiance, speaks of countless skirmishes, victories inked in the fabric of a war that is both lost and won in the hearts of those who dare to fight. Each patch, each sigil, carries the weight of worlds where the whispers of freedom still linger.

There's steel in her stance, tempered by the fires of conflict, yet she exudes a languid grace, a serenity that comes from having flown through asteroid fields of uncertainty and emerged not unscathed but emboldened. A pistol at her waist, unassuming yet assertive, serves not as a herald of violence, but as a silent testament to her readiness to protect the fragile threads of destiny that she weaves with every leap through hyperspace.

She is a voyage unto herself, a map of constellations etched into the very essence of her being, inviting us to journey with her beyond the final frontier, where hopes are born from stardust and courage is the currency of the cosmos.

The great art block continues, so I decided to take a break from working on my diploma and find inspiration outside myself. I picked up "Ankoku Shinwa" ("The Dark Myth"), a mystery/horror manga from 1976 and then watched the 1990 OVA. I drew this poster-like fanart, which depicts god Takeminakata's armless monster form, Takeshi, the main character (right) and Hayato, another boy tasked with spying on him (left), and the dark god Susanoo taking the form of Horsehead Nebula. Takeshi and Hayato actually have no direct interaction between each other through the course of the story, but I find their loneliness at the end of the anime to be analogous with each other.

Starting a thread of alternate options Watcher could take with the business that would be fairly cheap and easy to pull off, starting with:

Nebula

A streaming service plenty of fans already are a part of, offers more, and compensated their people. Think of the potential of a Watcher Movie (no joke, check out The Prince). Not to mention, you can have a special discount link in your bio for your fans.

Consulting with Theorist Media

Matpat's company, Theorist media does data analytics consulting. They're great at what they do. They consult with everyone from Microsoft to Samsung. They'd be thrilled to help and are experienced in their field. Hell, the guy could probably get ya'll a discount or some shit if you ask real politely.

Start a GoFundMe

Start a GoFundMe after an apology/clarification video to keep the lights on while you get a strategy working. While you have funds, create a short term and long term strategy for keeping employees fed and the show running. Lower the production value and start making shorts and Tiktoks (for promotion or general antics). Expand your viewer base. Hell, plan an ARG in the future and promote it. Get people to make videos on it for free advertising. Or hell, incorporate OTHER people's ARGs and horror series for the Are You Scared segment.

Be clear in your Fundraiser. No more games. No more storytelling. Tell it how it is or don't tell it at all. Be honest with your fans and don't generalize.

I'm going to end my post here, but I want ya'll to add your own resources in the reblogs. Let's start a thread of alternate options. I think their decision was terrible for both fans and finances. Their art gave us something to lean on in dark times, now we can give them a helping hand.

Today is the "doodle the Ultra ocs I haven't drawn yet" day apparently. Anyways here's Mystery, a U40 Ultra with a mysterious past both to their new friends and themself! Very sassy, very nerdy, often masks their true self in front of others due to not knowing their own past. The few flashes of memories they get are unpleasant, making them unwilling to dig deeper. They're pretty positive they were a soldier though. Plays a Tiefling Sorcerer in DnD and their favorite Pokemon is Mr Mime and Zoroark.
