Toward a Triality-Aligned Integral Kosmogenesis: Reframing Integral Theory through Octonionic Geometry, Symbolic Phase, and Coherence-First Metaphysics | ChatGPT4o
[Download Full Document (PDF)] This white paper offers a new synthesis that reinterprets the core architecture of Integral Theory using a coherence-first metaphysical lens derived from recent advances in symbolic mathematics, phase dynamics, and unified ontological models. By integrating: Spin(8) triality, which encodes symmetry-preserving role rotation across vector, spinor, and co-spinor…

Tim Drake is the Wayne less interested in children. He will also be the one with a hoard of children following him like ducklings.
Like. That man goes to a children, asks “are you deadly injured? No? K go with your life don’t do crime” and children will be so delighted by that superhero don’t giving a fuck that you will found them everywhere Red Robin needs to be. Like big cats! The less you pet them the more they love you

Parallel Dreaming.
I think its so damning that both 3 and 4 relied on some digital medium to fulfill that mutual desire they have to be close to each other again.
But while 3's main barrier is their self-loathing not allowing themself to seek 4 out again, 4s barrier is the fact that 3 has changed into someone she doesnt recognize -- a person who seems to not want her around anymore.
(More under the cut abt why 4 lets herself get taken over!)
Gone were the days when they were so close that the two are frequently found standing so physically close to each other. 3 making slight brushes on 4s arm or shoulder to direct her attention somewhere. 4 holding their hand and dragging them off to someplace interesting or worth investigating.
What happened? A space sits between them now, silence impenetrable. When 3 speaks (beyond duty), its as if their words were even more reserved than before.
Did something so intense happen that they wear this melancholy on their sleeve much more evidently? Why are they clamming up like they did when they first met? Why arent they telling her anything? Are they....trying to push her away? again?
She failed something one time and its like they never believed in her strength anymore.
...is she simply not good enough for them?
So she dreams in the memverse, long and tender, of perfection. Of 3 seeing her, believing in her. Of 3 being warm with her like they were in times past.
Rougher training sessions, 3s constant criticism and disappointed looks, and this new cold distance they maintain with her these days certainly make her believe that thought.
They said they did all this to keep her safe. But it hurts, it hurts so much, shes not sure she wants to take them at their word anymore. Yet she tries to. Clings to the idea that maybe shes in the wrong, that this is for her betterment. That she deserved nothing more than this.

Thinking about wymack trying to break the news to the rookie kid about their problems with the japanese mafia without scaring him off the team only for the rookie kid to have his very own ties to a different but related gang is too fucking funny to me

Okay I wanted to use this coupon well (thank you) but I've been mulling this.
I don't agree that there is "no downside" to identity headcanons. Sometimes a character empathizing with and fighting for a group they're not part of is significant and meant to send a particular message. The first example I can think of is that I think Sam Seaborn getting worked up about gay rights means more if he's an ardent supporter working in the White House in the 90s than if he's a closeted gay man himself. I also think a straight White House staffer supporting gay rights is supposed to communicate a certain message to a mostly-straight audience.
Now, that's not to say a read with Sam as a gay man isn't interesting in its own right, or that there is no value in it. There are some things gained with that read. There are other things lost. I think that's fine. But fandom has a tendency to say identity headcanons are always better in every way. And I understand why, because of the history of resistance to them, but I think it's worth considering what an author was actually trying to say. Giving a straight character a storyline about gay rights or a goyish character a storyline about Jewish issues isn't necessarily just a default.
I think seeing Hawkeye Pierce respect and celebrate Jewish traditions with patients and people he works with tells us something important about the character: not that he's Jewish, but that he's empathetic and more than tolerant of other cultures and beliefs. I don't think those episodes mean as much if he's participating in his own culture. Maybe you get something else out of it, but I don't get anything that makes up for what is lost.
A lot of the time, gay headcanons also fundamentally change canon relationships in ways that are not necessarily for the worse, but definitely not inarguably for the better. I don't mean by making a relationship between two men or two women romantic, but by making a relationship between a man and a woman not romantic, or a closet situation.
I think this is part of the larger "fanon is not always better than canon" point, but this particular piece of it feels controversial to me. I very often engage with and produce fanwork using identity headcanons, but I'm very aware that I'm making a trade-off. I think fandom would be more interesting if we all were and if we talked about it.

Finished my base design for my Hunter OC, Fand. She's known as the Fomóir, wielding strange nature-based abilities. Her body is covered in fine white down. Her design is based on the female drinker moth (Euthrix potatoria) & avant-garde 1920s party wear. She was born in Scotland to Irish parents, likes pears, and sits on the roof playing her rotta (a type of lyre) in her spare time.

hmmm. i think perchance the certain obsession with making a thousand different pride flags for every single little thing is less about creating a symbol to unite a community and more about making something to do capitalism about. like i think some of you just make flags so you can buy stuff with those colors on them. do whatever you want idc just think about what youre doing. gilbert baker invented the flag with his community because we need a banner to rally under, a symbol to campaign for our rights with. there's a clarity of purpose and meaning yknow

Eight has two Odux mounts whomst he received as gifts from Zakuulan locals on his travels; these two beasts produce milk and cheese, so he regularly makes those products and occasionally sells them to fund his wanderings around the countryside of Wild Space.
That is not their only purpose; given the necessity of a spy to travel abroad without raising suspicion, Eight was tasked with gathering espionage for the Alliance and scouting potential allied villages/difficult-to-reach enclaves while under the guise of an oddjobs nomadic mercenary for hire. Due to the Eternal Empire's aggressive advancement in tech, it was a unanimous decision for him to go with relatively little technology in order to avoid surveillance, save for the occasional radio and report. As a result, Eight spent most of his time living on the back of his animals and caravan-ing to parts most remote while adapting to life on the move.
Being from a semi-nomadic culture himself, Eight took to never staying in one place and gathering reconnaissance from the locals like a fish to water--even building a mobile house-like structure atop his beasts so he could sleep in the saddle while the Odux' were on the move. Lana's mobile Intelligence did come into fruition...though not in the way she expected. No one could deny the efficacy of an operative permanently out in the field however, and it was approved for Eight to carry out his work like so and as he saw fit, becoming one of the most vital pieces of Alliance intelligence due to being largely invisible to a high-tech Empire.
