(I’m alive I swear guys)
His fingers went over the scars on her skin, his touch soft and gentle. She didn’t like the way her body leaned into his touch a little, as if she liked it.
“What are you doing?” Y/n asked Ao’nung. His eyes left her skin and looked up into hers. He does that face she hates, that dumb one with his dumb smirk.
“You know scars like these take years to fade. You’ll probably still have them by the time you’ve had kids. That is if there is any man unfortunate enough to have you as his wife.”
Y/n wanted to throw another shell at him so bad right now. It was a week ago when she had both her brothers came out of the sea with fish bites, though it seemed Y/n got the most out of the three. Now most of the bites had healed but left behind scars. She already had scars from previous fish bites so now it seems as if her whole body is littered with them.
“Shut up.” She stood up from her spot on the sand, dusting herself off.
“Am I lying though?” There was a small laugh in his tone as he got up as well.
“Go annoy someone else, I don’t have time for you.” She scowled, walking in the direction back to her marui but he kept taunting her, teasing her. How is she supposed to not punch him? Her patience wore thin and she then shoved him away from her, making him stumble back and fall down.
“Vonvä’” She mumbles and continues walking away.
Ao’nung blinks away the shock from his fall and glares at the forest girl’s back as she walks away from him. Sure, he was being a jerk to her, he knows but he believes his actions are justified, sort of.
Ever since that forest family came to stay, his life has been nothing but hell. Y/n and her family have made a rather good impression on the clan already despite what they themselves might think. Ao’nung hears what his friends and the other kids say about them, at first it was words that made fun of the forest kids, which was perfect, it still had everyone looking up to him and looking down on them or rather her. However, she was a quick learner, she can ride an Ilu, weave baskets, braid hair, make accessories with what the sea provides, make healing pastes. In other words, she was perfect. It was as if everything was second nature to her.
He heard others start to talk differently about them. Even during family meal times, he would have to endure his parents and Tsireya praising the forest family. Praising her. He hates it. He has had dreams where she is standing before him, everyone praising her and looking down on him. He’d die before it ever comes to that in real life. She is a forest person and she has no business here with the sea.
Oh Ewya she annoyed his very being, the corners of his mouth turned up to let out a snarl as he watched her dark blue figure enter her Mauri. He got up and walked the other way, he was pissed. So pissed at her, and her family, and his father and at himself.
“Ao’nung!” He heard someone call out to him. He looked over at it was his friend.
“What.” He was irritated already, if his friend decides to be annoying he’ll actually-
“You got to check this forest girl out, she’s actually lost it.”
What-
Now ao’nung was interested. He followed his friend who led him back to the direction of the forest family’s mauri, just below was very shallow water where a forest girl was laying on her stomach, head in the water.
‘Is that y/n?’ Ao’nung thought as he watched from afar. His other friends were watching her, laughing quietly amongst themselves. When ao’nung approached them, they made space for him to stand in the middle of the group, a clear view of a dark blue girl minding her own business.
Ao’nung smirked.
“Let’s go closer” he said, his friends let out a few excited words, laughing quietly again, following ao’nung as he walked closer and closer to Y/n.
He was going to get back at her.
“She’s just looking at the sand”
Wait…
“Ahahaha”
Wait no that’s not-
“Huh?” The forest girl lifted her head and ao’nung had to hold in his shock when he saw that it wasn’t Y/n but her sister, Titi. No.. Piri? Oh he can’t remember.
“What you’d say?” She shook the water off her face and stood up. Ao’nung can’t back down now though.. not when his friends are watching. He really did think it was Y/n so he was fine with teasing and annoying her. But it isn’t y/n. It’s her sister.
So what? They’re both the same. Both are forest aliens.
“Are you some kind of freak?” Ao’nung asked.
“He asked if you are a freak.” His friend clarified.
Y/N’s sister sighed and shook her head. “No.” She began walking away but ao’nung and his friends followed her.
“Are you sure? I mean, you’re not even real Na’vi.” Ao’nung smirked, walking around her. When she didn’t say anything, he tried provoking her further. “Look at this hands.” He tried grabbing her hand but she pulled it away.
So he went to grab them again.
“I mean look at them” he emphasises.
“HEY!”
Ao’nung and his friends turned around at the voice. It was Y/N’s younger brother, noah. No. It began with L right?
“Back off fish lips.”
Whatever, his name is irrelevant anyway.
“Oh~ another four fingered freak!” Ao’nung laughed, the smaller forest boy may have came acting like the hero but he was greatly outnumbered, ao’nung and his friends began to tease and taunt him.
“Leave us alone!” Piri or titi, whatever her name is shouted. But her voice was ignored. Ao’nung kept laughing.
Yes. This is it. Make everyone look down on them so they can look up at him. This is how it should be. This is perfect.
Ao’nung felt a hard hand grab his shoulder and force him to turn around. It was neteyam. His friends and lo’ak stopped squabbling. Ao’nung glared silently at the older boy.
“You heard what she said.” Neteyam’s voice was alarmingly calm. “Leave them alone”
“Aww~ big brother coming-“ ao’nung’s friend spoke up, his voice taunting but ao’nung stopped him for speaking any further. He hated the sully’s that’s true. But he isn’t a fool. He knew it would be unwise to start a fight with the eldest son of the sully’s.
“Back off.” Neteyam let out his last word through his teeth. “Now.”
Ao’nung smirked and put his hands up, mimicking surrender.
Neteyam kept his eyes on ao’nung as he spoke again. “Smart choice.” He looked at his friends. “And from now on, I need you to respect my sister. Both my sisters.”
Ao’nung said nothing but kept glaring. That dumb friend let out a hiss as if still wanting to fight, ao’nung held him back with a single hand.
“Let’s go.” Neteyam took his two siblings and walked away.
—-
Y/n had been sent out by her father to go catch fish, enough for dinner to feed the whole family. She was only allowed to hunt by the shore line so she was limited with how many fish she could hunt.
By the time she came back, 10 fishes in her large pouch and a few fruits she found, she was confused when she couldn’t find her dad.
“Dad?” She called out in the empty mauri, putting her bag down to the side. She was about to go and look outside the marui pod when she heard footsteps nearby, her dad’s footsteps. She turned around and within seconds Jake came in with her brothers.
She gasped at the sight of them.
Both had looked like they were beaten up, neteyam sporting a busted lip, lo’ak’s skin having patches of dark red, irritated skin that will bruise over night.
“What happened?” She muttered as she walked over to them.
“What was the one thing I asked? One thing.” Jake ignored Y/N’s question, his mind too busy buzzing around with the thought of his idiotic sons.
“Stay out of trouble.” Both boys whispered. Y/n inspected both her brothers, she went to lo’ak first, holding his chin and making him look at her so she she could see his injuries closer. His nose was bleeding. Lo’ak shook her off.
“It was my fault.” Neteyam stepped forward.
“I don’t think so. You got to stop taking the heat for this knuckle head” Jake glared at his youngest son.
Y/n moved over to Neteyam, too shocked and worried to even remember that she and him had argued and had not spoken to each other for days.
“Ao’nung was picking on Kiri, called her a freak.” Lo’ak explained himself, Jake sucked in air through his teeth, looking away.
“He did what?!?” Y/n is was mid inspecting Neteyam’s injuries when she turned her head sharply to look at lo’ak when she heard what happened. “He called her what??” She need to hear lo’ak say it again. She was gonna fuck that sea Bitch up.
“Go apologise to Ao’nung.” Jake spoke softly.
“What.” Both lo’ak and Y/n spoke. Clearly ao’nung is in fault, why should lo’ak apologise.
“He’s the chief’s son. Do you understand.” Y/n looked at her father in disbelief. Neteyam held onto her arm to stop her from going out to find ao’nung herself.
“Just go. I don’t care how you do it, just go make peace.” Jake sighed and lo’ak went out to go find Ao’nung.
“Socks, you will stay put.” Jake warned her.
“Whaaat???”
Neteyam’s hold on her hand tightened.
“Let lo’ak do it himself. You stay here in the marui. Patch neteyam up or something.” Jake then left after giving her a final warning.
Once her father left she looked at neteyam in disbelief.
“Did you hear what I heard?” She asked him.
“Socks..”
“Dad is unbelievable.” She moved to go through a few small pots in the corner.
“Y/n listen-“
“That dumb overgrown fish decided to flap his tiny flippers at you and Lo’ak and it’s your fault?” She pulled neteyam down to sit next to her.
“I said listen-“
“Why should lo’ak apologise? It’s that son of a bit-“
“Y/n!” Neteyam held her shoulder and pushed to make her torso turn and face him. She stopped talking at looked up at him, her eyes glistening with tears that barely clung to her waterline.
“It’s not fair.” Her voice came out quieter than before. She looked down and picked up a clean rag and dampened it in a bowl of water.
“Y/n, dad knew it isn’t our fault.” Neteyam spoke softly. This probably is the first real conversation they have had since their argument. Before it was just small words and quick replies, most of the time they would avoid and ignore each other.
“Then why did he go and say all that?” She tried blinking away tears as she cleaned off dry blood on his face.
“He had to. He’s doing what he can to help our family fit in here.” Neteyam watched as his sister held in her tears. He moved a hand to hold her face.
“Y/n, sister, why are you crying?”
Her hand trembled as she continued cleaning his cuts.
“I’m not.”
“You are.”
“Neteyam I’m-“
“You said it.”
She looked up at him, confused.
“What?”
He smiled softly.
“You said my name. It’s been a while since I heard you say it.”
She continued to look at him confused as he grinned stupidly at her. Her bottom lip wobbled and she smacked his shoulder.
“Ow!” He flinched back, rubbing his shoulder and lifting his eyes to glare at his sister but his eyes softened immediately when he saw a stream of tears running down her face. “Socks..” he moved closer to her, holding her in his arms even though he was still sore from the fight.
She cried for a while before calming down, her sobs reduced so small hiccups.
“What’s wrong? Are you crying because me and Lo’ak got hurt?” Neteyam asked.
“I’m never there.”
Now neteyam looked at her confused.
“What? Where do you need to be?”
“With you! With Kiri, Lo’ak and Tuk! I’m never there when I need to be.” Her voice wavered and neteyam brushed away her tears. “Even back when we are in the forest. I wasn’t there when… when you four were attacked by those human na’vi. I wasn’t there today when something as bad as a whole physical fight broke out. I know I’m not as reliable as you but I still want to be the big sister and protect you all…”
Neteyam closed his eyes and held his sister’s hands.
“Socks.. no.. Y/n, you do know that the younger three look up to you as much as they look up to me, right? If not then more.”
Y/n let out a small hiccup and looked up at him. Neteyam continued.
“We are twins, sister. You and me. However that does not mean we must compare ourselves to every little thing. You are Y/N. You are socks. You are the first daughter of Toruk makto. You protected our siblings from ao’nung before I even stepped in and did anything. You hit him with that shell remember? You protected Tuk and all I did was shout at you for it.”
Y/n felt her eyes water again, Neteyam kept holding her hands.
“I am sorry. I got too caught up in trying to do everything in a strategic way, my way, that I forgot to understand your way. I even refused to understand where you were coming from. You are amazing Y/n and I’m sorry I got too blind to see it.”
Neteyam looked into her eyes. Her eyes that were the exact same as his. Same shape, size and colour. He looked at her. He looked at his sister, his twin sister, his other half.
“I see you, sister.” He whispered.
Y/n chocked back on a sob and blinked away tears. She hated arguing with neteyam the most out of all of her siblings because it hurts the most. They hadn’t even spoken or looked at each other properly since their argument and it took neteyam getting physically hurt for her to talk to him again.
“I see you, brother.” She whispered back. Her arms wrapping around his body as she hugged him. He hugged her back and they stayed like that for a while.
“So how badly did you beat up ao’nung?” She asked, pulling away from him.
Neteyam chuckled.
“Well he is the cheif’s son, so I didn’t hurt him too bad but his friends however…” he trailed off but Y/n knew what he meant.
She lightly smacked him this time.
“Those poor boys. They probably don’t even know what a punch was, much less the types of punches. You should have gone easy on them.” She teased.
“I did go easy on them!”
She laughed. “Yeah right. You probably gave it your all, I know you weren’t holding back.”
“No socks, believe me, I was still holding my true strength in. I was holding my mighty warrior strength back.”
She laughed even more while going back to tending to his cuts and bruises.
After she was done patching neteyam up she was about to put all the healing paste and blood stained cloths away before she remembered she has another beaten up brother. She looked out of the marui and saw it was late already, the light of the day was gone and now stars littered the sky.
Y/n looked back at Neteyam.
“Lo’ak should be back by now, right? I was going to help him with that bloody nose of his.” She sighed.
Neteyam got up. “I’ll go get him, you should probably make more paste, he has bruises on his legs everywhere.”
Y/n nodded and went further in to the marui pod while neteyam went out, his steps calm as he went. Time passed and Neytiri came in with Tuk, chopping up the fish Y/n had caught earlier, however Neteyam still didn’t arrive.
Being a little worried that perhaps another fight broke out, and if that was the case then Y/n would not hesitate to jump in and fight as well, so she was about to head out of the mauri pod when she saw her father and Kiri talking.
“Mighty..” she heard Kiri say. What was mighty?
Just then Y/n heard footsteps and turned her head to see who it was. It was Neteyam and Ao’nung. Y/n couldn’t help the disgusted look on her face when her eyes landed on the sea boy. Why is he here?
Neteyam pulled Ao’nung over to Jake.
“Tell him. Tell him what you told me!” Neteyam’s voice wasn’t calm like it always was, no this time Y/n could hear the pure fear in his voice.
As she heard Ao’nung talk, she quickly understood why. Each word made her heart drop.
Lo’ak. Lost in sea. Alone. Missing.
Ao’nung you son of a bitch-

As soon as she was born, her yellow eyes seemed to pierce Jake Sully’s just as Tsu’tey’s used to.
Born alongside Neteyam, [Name] bore the distinct features of the Na’vi. Kuru starting at the top of her head, prominent lack of eyebrow, three fingers. All features he should associate with his mate, Neytiri, the mother of the twins. But as Jake watches her grow, he can’t help but see his fallen Na’vi brother.
Jake thought it would fade away, that it was something from his past haunting him and his daughter didn’t actually look like the reincarnate of Tsu’tey at all. Besides, if he were to see Tsu’tey in anyone, surely it would be his remarkably Na’vi son, who bore many of the same traits of his sister. But as they grew, Jake and Neytiri both could see just how similar [Name] and Tsu’tey actually were.
It started early, when they were teaching Neteyam, Kiri, and [Name] to walk, a fairly simple and necessary step for any child. This didn’t stop little [Name], who was a little less than a year old, from being stubborn. Neytiri and Jake started by holding their arms, lifting them up onto their feet so that they could stand. When they could stand, they would let go, moving away slightly in hopes they would follow. The ‘they’ was just Kiri and Neteyam. When they tried to help [Name], she only swatted her hand away and pouted, giving the most hateful glare one could receive.
Regretfully, Jake laughed at this, earning a smack to the shoulder from Neytiri. How could he not have though? [Name] looked just like Tsu’tey like that, acted like him too. Jake smiled fondly at his oldest daughter, who soon after tried to stand on her own, feeling left out from her siblings.
Another time Jake saw Tsu’tey in [Name] was when he was teaching [Name] and Neteyam how to hunt. They weren’t very old, five or six max, and they still had a lot of learning to do. This, however, did not stop [Name] from trying to teach Neteyam how to use a bow, despite hardly knowing how to use one herself. It was day three of teaching the kids and [Name] was on Neteyam’s back about his posture. She kept hitting his belly, telling him that he had to tighten his muscles, hitting his arm, telling him to raise his elbow. While she was right, Jake couldn’t help but chuckle to himself, how many times did Tsu’tey mock and criticize his form? Too many to count.
By the time Jake came to the present, Neteyam had half-heartedly thrown his bow down, huffing in frustration before running up to Jake and hugging his leg.
“[Name] is making fun of me!” Neteyam’s weak voice whined.
“It’s not my fault you suck!” [Name] laughed, her small hands on her hips.
Ever since then, [Name] seemed to beat out Neteyam in every subject. In skill, she beat all of the young warriors her age. She was quickly becoming one of the best warriors of her age, of the clan! Jake was more than proud. Proud of not only his daughter’s success, but just how Na’vi she has become. Na’vi, just like the most Na’vi person he knew.
Tsu’tey.
No matter where she went, [Name] would always remind Jake of Tsu’tey. Remind him of when they got along. And when they didn’t.
Like the day after her Iknimaya.
Jake knew he shouldn’t be worried, she wouldn’t be alone, and yet he did not want her to go out riding ikran with her friends. Her friends where nice kids, all warriors like her, that he has taught, but she just bonded with her ikran, the bond was new, and he did not trust [Name]’s ikran just yet. He remembers Bob, it took a few days, at least a week for them to completely trust each other. He did not want [Name]’s ikran to get spooked by something and leave her for dead.
[Name] did not take this news very well.
She was just leaving their family home, a wide smile on her face, when Jake stopped her. He knew she was so excited to attempt her Iknimaya and was even more proud to have successfully bonded with her own ikran. That is why he was not surprised to see her smile fall, her ears pin back, and shoulders slump.
“What? Why?” she wasn’t unreasonable, if her father had a good reason, she would respect his commands.
“Baby girl, I have said you cannot go, do not argue with me,” unfortunately Jake was not great at communicating.
[Name] gave him a piercing glare, shooting daggers that seemed to wound Jake immediately. But he could not show it, would not show it. He is the Olo'eyktan, he must act like it.
But does not stop the pained look that washes over his face once she had walked away.
Later that night, Neytiri scolded him lightly for preventing [Name] from enjoying time kids her age for once, instead of taking care of her siblings or training. While Jake was still apprehensive about the situation, feeling as if his fears were justified, he felt his rules might have been too strict this time.
It was good timing for this resolution because not even an hour later, [Name] arrived back to the family hut, having been gone all night riding her ikran with her friends.
Jake stood up immediately, making his way to the entrance of their home, waiting for [Name]’s eyes to meet his. When they did, [Name] seemed to have more composure than him, he almost felt threatened by her eyes. As if he was the one to do something wrong, not her.
“Where have you been? I thought you were with your siblings?” Jake was more than confused, was she not just sleeping in her room with her siblings?
“Dad, we both knew where I was, no need to do this,” she did not seem angry, but she did stand her ground like the grown warrior she was becoming.
“Do not worry, Father. I have been watching the others,” Neteyam remarks, walking out of the Sully kid’s shared room.
He lays a hand on his father’s shoulder, “If anyone can go out alone on ikran and be fine, it is my sister. If anything, she was protecting the others, and you know they fight well.”
Jake smiles at his son, patting the hand on his shoulder. Jake nods, looking down as if thinking before looking back up at his daughter. He smiles at her, extending a hand, an invitation.
Her piercing gaze drops, her smile reaching her face again as she breaks out into a warm laugh, taking her father’s hand. Jake pulls his daughter and son closer, bringing them into his chest, where they rest their heads.
Later that night, all Jake can think about is how [Name] seemed just like Tsu’tey in that moment.
Tsu’tey patted Jake on the back, a harsh sort of pat, one you would give if you secretly wanted to do harm to the other.
“Jakesully, you do not understand our ways, you will never be one of us,” as much as his words sounded serious, with the smile on his face and the light tone in his voice told Jake that this was more affectionate than hostile.
Jake aimed his bow again, taking in a deep breath, eyes locking onto the makeshift target. He sucked in his stomach, raised his elbow and let go.
“Ah, pretty good,” Tsu’tey nodded, looking at the bulleye. “For a dreamwalker,” he teased, playfully smacking Jake’s shoulder.
Jake noted Tsu’tey’s smile was light, out of character for the Na’vi who usually wore a piercing glare around him. The smile was unusual but welcomed and only helped Jake prove to himself that he was, in face, becoming one of the people.
But what really sealed the deal for Jake, was when he assigned Lo’ak, Neteyam, and [Name] as look out for Lo’ak’s first mission.
He only let Lo’ak join because he had become awfully annoying with his pestering. Always on about how if [Name] and Neteyam could go, why couldn’t he? Jake figured that Lo’ak would lose interest or get too scared to do anymore if he let him join. How wrong he was.
Lo’ak was a pain in the ass as always, and Neteyam and [Name] were doing their best to keep him inline. The whole way to the checkpoint was full of non-stop chatter and jokes about how he was going to destroy the RDA, how he was going to beat them all up all on his own. [Name] though her eyes might get stuck with the amount her eyes would roll.
“Lo’ak, shut your damn mouth or I will tell mum what you keep in that basket in our room,” [Name] practically barks.
Lo’ak goes quiet, and [Name] can see the purple of his cheeks, even from where she is on her ikran. Neteyam smiles at her, and she takes that as a thanks.
The problem came when they arrived at the checkpoint, bombs went off, the train went off track, and Lo’ak decided he wanted a piece of the action, diving his ikran in the direction of the pa’li riders.
[Name] just held her hand up at Neteyam, telling him to keep on look out, and she dove to join her youngest brother.
When she landed, she found Lo’ak holding a gun, letting out a battle cry.
“Lo’ak!” [Name] came running, eyes dark and her ears pinned, straight for Lo’ak.
“Put that thing down,” she ordered, shoving the gun into someone else’s arms. “Today is not the day to be a skxawng, let’s go,” [Name] grabbed him by the ear and dragged him back to his ikran.
Jake watched this from where he was stationed, feeling a glimmer of pride for his daughter in his chest and a sparkle of deep annoyance for his son. But he was left little time to think before Neteyam warned him of an incoming RDA aircraft.
When they made it back to base, the three young warriors lined up, all three practically unscathed but their sisters still came and checked on them.
Jake looked into his eldest daughter’s eyes, he saw a warrior, a warrior that cared for her loved ones, one that did not take BS. He saw Tsu’tey. His na’vi brother. He looked into her eyes, yellow eyes filled with focus and determination, and he brought his hand from his forehead downwards in a smooth motion.
“I see you, daughter.”

lo’ak x polar opposite twin
a/n: so basically a female version of neteyam 😭 | anyways, enjoy 🤍

neteyam was thrilled when he learned that his younger sibling is not just a sibling but siblings
obviously, lo’ak came out of neytiri first. the gene is strong, people
you followed closely behind your twin brother
since a youngling, jake and neytiri noticed how their twins are similar yet different in so many ways
for sure, you guys are both more expressive and emotionally intelligent than the other sullys
jake spots his oldest daughter comforting a hurting animal or her siblings every now and then.
when you were just a toddler, barely walking, you were wiping a tear off his face. he didn’t know whether to continue crying or jumping up and down
lo’ak is more expressive when he is fighting for what he love, and that is what he prioritizes. sadly, jake dismissed his actions now and then
for instance, when he was trying to prove himself that payakan isn’t a killer to jake, he was dismissed as a troublemaker :(
you guys are very protective of each other, despite trying to kill each other as a toddler💀
so like, neteyam, kiri, jake, and neytiri would play together on the hammock. and then there is you and lo’ak fighting for a piece of snack
definitely learned to babble bad words at each other at very young age
cuz y’know you gotta learn how to protect yourself
but twins can only get so similar…(yes, i know, the sixth sense and all of that but…)
you are calmer, a healer, and a rule follower
neteyam favored you a little more than lo’ak, just because you are a little bit calmer :(
your twin brother? quite the opposite…
very TURBULENT, a fighter, and a rule breaker *insert jake face palming here*
often many:
y/n: “lo’ak no!”
lo’ak: “lo’ak yes!”
“bitch!”
but he is your brother after all, you will follow him wherever it takes
so basically, dragging yourself into trouble everytime. and if you haven’t caught it yet, jake is not happy about this.
probably because lo’ak is just using you to lessen the trouble jake will get him if he sees his weakness, you.
doing those bargaining EVERY-TIME
“please, come with me, i promise to keep you safe!” he urged you as he pulled on your arm.
“no, i am not falling for your trick again, what will i get? nothing!”
“please, please, please, i promise i will be good, please, i’ll cover the chores for this month,” he begged you on the floor.
“…”
“please, my beloved sister, i am begging you, dad will kill me if i am caught alone,” he hugged your leg.
“pl-ease, you know how this will end, so why are you still doing it?”
“pleaseeeee, 3 months, 3 months i’ll cover your chores”
“fine…and you better get my ass out if dad caught us”
“yes, ma’am”
always cursing at him but at the same time following behind his trail
mumbling things like: “dad’s going to kill you” “i think i wanna go back” “i don’t think that is a good idea” “let’s not go in there”
sometimes eywa is on your side and you came back unharmed and “uncaught”
but sometimes it doesn’t get so lucky.
even though you guys seemed like you would be pushing the blame on each other, you actually love him too much to see him get the blame himself.
especially when you know he is neglected by your dad the most, you just wanna make him feel a little bit better.
of course, he is always compared to neteyam and you got it a little bit easier because jake is such a girl dad
lo’ak just need a little more love and you are there to remind him that you care for him
for instance, one time, you got caught wandering into the forest at night with lo’ak. JUST BECAUSE he wanted to impress a girl and go find some plant that only glows in the night-
jake was mad MAD
he was like:
“SIT DOWN!” he ordered you both, you quickly gathered your tail and whimpered down to the floor. lo’ak stared hardly at your dad.
“please, lo’ak, just-“ you tugged his leg.
“WHAT HAVE I TOLD YOU! AND WHY would you drag your sister into this!” he was breathing in and out quickly and he tried to calm himself down.
“i am so-“
“please, dad, it wasn’t his fault, i am-“
“oH, i don’t think so, please, sweetheart, stop taking blame for each other, for eywa’s sake!” he shouted with the back of his throat, trying not the make the situation worst. you whimpered in your spot as your ear dropped back.
jake will feel bad for shouting at you more than lo’ak, so eventually he just dismissed you both 🙁 (butitmeansthathisplanworked)
BUT you love your twin too much that you will patch him up every time
earning “ouch”s and “ow”s from your brother as you did his wound intentionally harsher than before
“why are you doing this on purpose!” “OW-!”
“please, i am tired of you breaking the rules, sorry, i have to fight fire with fire,” you dapped the cloth on his wound.
anyways, just two siblings trying to get along as a kid, but ended up being the most supportive to each other when they grow up.
got those “no you can not have my french fries, but you can have my liver if you are going to die.”
take care guys! stay hydrated! 🤍

Tumblr media
𝐘/𝐍'𝐒 𝐄𝐘𝐄𝐒 𝐀𝐑𝐄 𝐆𝐋𝐀𝐙𝐄𝐃 𝐎𝐕𝐄𝐑, the cries of her mother muffled to her ears that lay flat on her head. Her other half, her twin brother. The eldest, born only 7 minutes apart, was no longer there. There had come a time when his presence was so natural, no questions asked - no alarming feeling. He was always her shadow, and if not. Neteyam was there in an instant at her beck and call.
They were both spitting images of their mother, they even shared her same deep spiritual connection with Eywa. Even their songcords aligned with each other. Y/n remembers then, how her mother had said such occurrences only really happen with twins. That in itself was a rarity for their clan.
Now he was gone, yet she remained. The shadow that loomed over her, escaped as the Eclipse crept up on them.
You blink once, twice. Wiping the tears that you didn’t even realize were streaming down your face. From the corner of her eyes, she can see Lo’ak blankly gazing down at his hands which were coated in Neteyam’s blood. She scoots closer to him then, ripping the fringes of her loin-cloth off and dipping it into the water.
If Lo’ak notices the shakiness of her hands, he doesn’t comment on it. It feels like his tongue had been stapled to the roof of his mouth at that very moment. Alas, his tender heart squeezes a fraction as you use the fabric to try to wipe away the remnants of blood.
A rough voice coming from your father cuts through the sentimental moment.
“Where are your sisters?” He’s not intentionally glaring, but his eyes alone felt like he was picking through your soul.
“Your sisters, where are they?” He repeats, more urgency detected in his tone now.
“I don’t know.” Lo’ak mumbles, every part of him looking lost.
Your mother's cries of terror grow in volume then.
“Where are they!” Jake bellowed, time was of the essence. Now more than ever.
“Dad,” Y/n whines out, wishing for him to just take a moment.
His eyes meet yours for a moment, before breaking away. He couldn’t look at you right now, doing so would make him lose all of his resolves. Jake had to stay locked, just for a few more moments. Then he’ll have the chance to mourn, to bring you into his arms. To apologize for how now you must live the same faith he had to endure and suffer through.
“On the ship, they are tied up on the ship.” Tsireya wavers, her grip on Neteyam’s leg not letting up.
Spider's mouth moves, but you don’t hear a thing. Turning back to your brother, you hover over him. Neytiri leans into you as she cradles him to her chest.
Jake gets your mom’s attention, and by doing so she passes Neteyam to you. Y/n freezes up, feeling how cold he is. Seeing how pale he is. This isn’t her mighty brother, it was a shell of him.
As Neytiri flies away on her Ikran, the sound of its wings breaks you out of your reverie. Gently, you lay him back down on the rock before pushing yourself up. Staggering over to Lo’aks side, he pulls you into him.
Usually, he’d nag about your height difference, but this time he used it to his advantage to briefly tuck his head into your shoulder.
Jake looks to Lo’ak. “Both of you, stay with your brother.”
Lo’ak takes a step forward, bringing you with him.
“But dad, I want to go with you,” Lo’ak whispers.
“Please, dad,” Y/n begs, unable to fathom sitting by her deceased twin while her sisters were still in harm's way.
Jake shakes his head, “You’ve done enough.”
“No, dad,” Lo’ak breaks. A part of him cracks, the guilt and shame consuming him.
Y/n places a hand on his shoulder, trying to give him some support.
“I’m sure he didn’t mean it like that, brother,” Y/n spoke, catching on to where his mind was heading.
There you watch as your dad and Spider become one with the water. Y/n moves back to kneel down beside Tsireya, as she cradles Neteyam’s face and gives him a light kiss on his forehead.
Lo’ak takes one last glance at his brother before reluctantly tugging on your arm.
Y/n regards him with uncertainty. Before you can question him though, he caresses the side of Tsireya’s face for a second. “Stay with him.”
Tsireya flounders, “No!”
He rushes to the edge of the rock, and you can only wince as you apologize to Tsireya for your and Lo’aks actions.
“I’m sorry, Tsireya.”
She tries to shout for you guys to come back, but it’s too late. You’re already both calling for your Ilu’s as you jump into the ocean.
Iarsä swam right beneath you, and in an instant, you are gripping her tightly and making tsaheylu. Deep in your brain, you wondered if Neteyam’s Ilu felt the loss you do. What about his Ikran? Oh, Eywa.
“Tsmuke!” Lo’ak called for you as you started to lag behind a little.
Quickening your pace, you moved by him. His worried eyes flittered over to yours.
“Tsukan, I am fine.” You tried to reassure him, but you know he saw through it all.
His lips pulled down into a frown, but he knew now wasn’t the time to comment back to you.
Either way, he is interrupted by the shocked gasp that leaves your mouth. The ship isn’t too far from you guys now, but it’s beginning to flip over and sink down.
Lo’ak guided you closer to the ship, haphazardly avoiding miscellaneous floating objects.
“That’s Spider and Kiri!” Lo’ak blurted out, his finger pointing at two figures bobbing up and down in the water.
Y/n nods, as Lo’ak yips to alert them that they are here.
“Bro!” A light flashes in your eyes, and it’s coming from Spider.
A sigh of relief escapes you seeing Kiri alright, but you can still see how distraught she looks. It physically hurts you not to tell her what had just happened, but time was escaping you all even more quickly.
Kiri watches the Ship fully engulfed by the ocean. She trembled, “Mom and dad are down there, in the ship!”
An alarm rings like an insistent bell in your mind. Of course, no wonder they were alone.
But where is Tuk? Y/n’s conscience is on overdrive, the exhaustion is gnawing at her heavily. She’d get nowhere like this, tackle one thing at a time. That’s what she needs to do.
“Grab on- Y/n!” Lo’ak protested as you descended further into the murky waters. Except it was too late, she was already gone.
Y/n’s eyes squinted as the water pulled at her skin due to the high speeds she was going at. In spite of that, it did not matter. Nothing mattered more than saving whatever was left of her family.
Darting into the first opening of the ship you are able to squeeze through, not without realising the spaces were far too cramped to navigate your Ilu through. With that, you reluctantly release her.
The further you descended, the more effort it took to be able to examine your surroundings. You can feel your chest starting to tighten just a little. However, Y/n notices a faint outline of an avatar body ahead of her.
It takes every willpower within her to not weep at the sight of your dad twitching against a part of the collapsing ship. Jumping into action, wrapping both of your arms around one of his. Then you tug as hard as you can, back from where you had just come from.
You recalled the air pocket you encountered not too long ago. Yes, that will work for now.
The closer you grew to your destination, the more your dad fidgeted in your tight grasp. Then, his arms reached up.
Y/n and Jake exhale as they break through the surface.
“Dad?” She whimpers her heart, sinking as Jake struggles to catch his breath.
He clutches onto the side of the wall, his chest rising up and down far too rapidly.
“Dad, please. Take a few deep breaths!” She falters when trying to approach him, scared to jolt him even more.
He groans, eyes bleary, “Neteyam?”
It felt like an axe had been wedged in your heart. You’ve dealt with far too much in a span of few hours.
“No, dad. It’s Y/n”
“Oh, Y/n…you just look so much like him.” He struggles to say.
Y/n clenches her eyes closed in despair. She knew that voice, it was the one he’d use to try to weave out of something. Sugarcoating, he had told you when you were younger.
She couldn’t help but weigh on the thought that he probably thought he was dead and with Eywa.
Sighing, her hand presses into her face. “Sorry, I know. You and ma always say that.”
In a blink of an eye, profound guilt encapsulates her very being. Once again, Y/n has been reminded of Neteyam. What she has lost, what she must now grieve.
Gulping, her voice stammered “I’m sorry, sir. His death was all my fault. I should have done better.”
Jake’s heart lurches at your words, being reminded of Tommy.
“Focus, just focus on getting out.” He coughs as the lights behind you flicker. The ship's loud groans rattle in both of your ears.
“Okay, okay,” Y/m mumbles to herself. Analyzing her surroundings, she realizes the water is rising at a quicker pace. Dammit.
“We’re losing air pockets, dad. Come on, let’s go,” She insisted.
Jake lets out sounds of pain as he moves into the corner.
“You know your way out?” He inquires. Before you look at him with a scrutinizing gaze he takes you in with all his pride. His daughter, his first-ever daughter.
Ah, there it is. Furrowed brows and all.
“I think so. But dad, you’re gonna have to hold your breath for a while. Okay?” She responded, ignoring the ache in her limbs.
You lean into him then, thumbing the blood seeping out from one of the cuts on his face.
Just like he’d do to you when you were little, an action so simple whenever you’d hurt yourself. Something you inhabited from him.
That’s exactly why he can’t keep you here. You still had so much more to live for.
“I can’t make it, but you can. You can, you can.”
You speak over the top of him, anguish spreading across your facial features. “No, no-no, dad!”
The tone in your voice pitches, conveying the desperation you felt right at that moment.
“I refuse, I can’t lose you too. Not you, dad.” She says vehemently. So much finality had been wrapped into that sentence, and he knew that you weren’t going to move.
If he can’t make it, then you weren’t leaving his side. You’re going to stay right here.
He rapidly blinks his eyes, finally clearing his vision properly.
Ignoring the pounding from his head, he looks at you. Truly examining you.
The face you hold at that moment is the deepest wound to strike him yet from today.
Just now, he can see how mature you’ve become in a span of less than a day. It left him with such scorching indignation. No kid should have to grow up this quickly, but the unique circumstances brought upon your family had forced you to do so.
There are tears running down your face, and the seawater should mask it well. But he’s your father, he knows. He can see you clutching something tightly in your hands then. It feels like cinder blocks had been pushed against his gut when he recognizes it to be one of Neteyam’s armbands.
Y/n follows his eyes, unclenching her first. He was right.
She swallows, lips trembling. “It was floating in the ship close to where you were before, maybe it was a sign from him. He was letting me know you were close. I didn’t even realize when it floated into my hand. It must have slipped off before he…”
A deep frown settles on Jake’s face whilst hearing you get choked up. He kicks his legs, ignoring the throbbing feeling spreading through his body.
He leans his head on top of yours.
“I’m so sorry, baby girl. I’m so sorry.” He coos.
You shook your head, forcing yourself to calm down.
After he pressed his lips to your forehead, you lean back from him.
“We’re running out of time. Okay, you need to be really calm. Breathe down from here.” You press your hand to his lower chest. Mimicking the breathing you learned not too long ago from your dear friend Tsireya.
He follows you, pursing his lips. Inhaling, exhaling.
You close your eyes.
“The way of water has no beginning and no end.
The sea is around you and in you.
The sea is your home before your birth, and after your death.”
Your eyes open, watching Jake take your words in. He tries his absolute hardest to ease his mind, just like you had done moments ago.
Good, he’s doing good.
Y/n continues.
“The sea gives, and the sea takes.
Water connects all things.
Life to death, darkness to light.”
The water is now up to your chin, even as you tilt your head up.
“Dad, you can do this. Please.”
He nods his head, “I’m with you, Y/n.”
The words bring you great comfort, your heart now being able to lessen some of its burdens.
Y/n finally smiles.
“Okay, last breath. I love you, dad.”
He winces at the prickling pain but manages to give you a smile in return.
“I love you too, my daughter.”
With that, both of you breathe in before going underwater.
You start the treacherous journey out of here, doing your best to retrace the directions you had mapped out in your mind. Making sure to occasionally check back on your dad as you hurdle through random objects that stuck out.
Y/n looks behind her shoulder once again, easing up when she sees Jake not too far behind.
With a motion of your hand, you wordlessly say “follow me”. A reminder that maybe wasn’t needed, but you had to feed your dad some courage.
Your chest begins to constrict a little, but you try to keep your mind elsewhere.
You thank Eywa as you see the exit, holding on to the bar as you reach your hand out.
Jake latches on to it as you swim through the opening. There you both try to seamlessly get out from the remainder of the ship. The gap between you and the surface lessening.
But Jake begins to slow down significantly. Immediately worried, you wrap your arms around him. Chugging over your limit as you pull him up with you.
Y/n starts to hear the muffled noises of her dad starting to choke.
No, no, no. We’re almost there.
A gush of movement is felt from behind you both.
Lo’ak is holding onto Payakan’s fin, using his free arm he darts out to grab your elbow. He tugs you to him.
There, you and Jake are able to hold on to the Tulkun for further momentum.
The cool air nips at your cheeks as you finally break through the water.
“Hang on, both of you! Breathe, breathe.” Lo’ak urges as he quickly holds your face to see if you’re alright.
Y/n bows her head and then goes to personally thank Payakan for saving their lives.
“I see you, son.” She hears, there you gaze as Lo’ak and Jake share a bittersweet moment.
However, right behind them, you see familiar figures moving closer to you all.
“Ma Jake!” Neytiri called.
“Dad, dad!” Tuk cried.
“Mom!” You and Lo’ak gushed.
“Come here, I have you. It’s Okay.”
“Tuk, Kiri.” She whispers to herself, finally allowing relief to invade her senses.
Your mother leans over, squeezing both your and Lo’aks hands.
But you needed more.
Pushing off of Paykan's fin, you swim over to where Neytiri and Tuk was.
Neytiri grabs you swiftly, letting you fall into the makeshift circle.
“Oh, my yawntutsyìp. My sweet, sweet child.” She mumbles, repeatedly kissing your cheek.
She could not even begin to fathom the loss you have yet to fully process and grieve for.
Another person in the Sully family tree had lost a sibling today.
“Tsmukan, Tsmuke.” Kiri too leans forward in concern.
You just give her a solemn smile, grateful that almost all of you were safe and alive.
She watches her parents embrace before her eyes loom over the empty gap in their family huddle.
It felt like only yesterday how Neteyam would always pinch her and Lo’aks ears, “Why are you guys always forgetting our family meetings?”
Huddling closer to one another, while unspoken you each know this event was something that would drastically change all of your lives forever.
“Sully’s stick together. That was their greatest weakness, and their greatest strength.”
“Thank you, great mother,” Kiri speaks up into the sky.
“Yes.” Neytiri echoes.
Lo’ak gazed at you, then to the sky above.
Y/n followed his actions. She was hoping to each mighty being above, that Neteyam was safe and sound. No longer in pain or danger. That was the least her dear brother deserves.
As everyone loosened their holds, your parents did the opposite. Instead, they brought you into their arms.
There, they cried with you. Finally having a chance to mourn the loss of your twin, their son.
From above and with Eywa, Neteyam looked down at you all with questioning eyes.
“Why are they all crying, great mother?” He asked, not being able to understand the entirety of the situation that occurred before him.
Eywa can only give him a saddened smile.
“Because my child, they are grateful to have known you.”

Paring(s): Lo'ak sully x twin! Reader, Neteyam sully x younger sister! Reader, kiri sully x sister! Reader, Tuk sully x sister! Reader, Jake sully x daughter! Reader, Neytiri x daughter! Reader, sully family x reader
Genre: kinda angst
Warning(s): none
Word bank: Y/N- your name
Notes: soooo, I came across a sound on tiktok and it's the one from the movie Mowgli? If Ur ever heard of it. But it's the sound where he's saying "we're not special" and it just got me thinking about Lo'ak and how he thinks he's an outcast. Anyway, hope u enjoy.
Part 2
"Hey, Lo'ak-!" Y/N yelled at her twin, but was cut short because she tripped over an seashell near the water. Lo'ak stared blankly at her, waiting a few minutes till a loud laugh bursts from his lips as he watched his twin faceplant into the sand. Her ears twitched as she heard her twins laughter her favourite sound of them all. It had been a while since she last hear it. She just figured he was homesick just like everyone else but oh, how she was wrong.
After dusting herself off from all the sand, she took a seat next to Lo'ak, a bright smile on her face just like always. "So, you gonna tell me why my twin brother hasn't been so happy lately?" Lo'ak felt a lump forming in his throat as he watched Neteyam, Kiri and Tuk playing in water, splashing each other. He wished he could tell her why he's been so down but he can't. It's almost like all the hate and sadness has piled up into nothing but rage.
"Hello, Lo'ak? You gonna answer me? Cause you know dad says it rude to ignore someone when their talking to you" Y/N waved her hand infront of his face trying to snap the boy out of his thought. Once he did though, the lump in his throat grew bigger, his knuckles going white as he clenched them tighter. "Why do you always want to be around me? Why not hang out with Neteyam or Kiri and Tuk?" Lo'ak said coldly. Y/N's eyes travelled down to her hands, staring at how one hand has 4 fingers and the other has 4 fingers and 1 tumb. "Cause your my twin, Lo'ak..." she said quietly, almost a whisper.
Anger soon took over Lo'ak as he got up from his sitting position and stormed off to who knows where. Y/N acted quickly, as she followed after her twin concern written all over face. When she finally caught up with him, she grabbed his arm making him face her. "Lo'ak! What's wrong? Please talk to me" L'oak could see the concren, and hurt in her eyes. "Fine! You wanna know why I've been like this??" Lo'ak's out burst made the poor girl jump but she still nodded her head Yes, wanted to get to the bottom to this. "I feel like an outcast! A disappointment! A thing no one wants to deal with!" Tears started to form in Lo'ak's eyes as his emotions started to get the better of him.
"You know... I understand what it's like. For nobody to want you, to feel like a freak... I mean your not the only one who has weird looking hands. See?" She showed both her hands to Lo'ak trying to make him understand that he's not alone. "But... we have each other, ok? And we're kinda the same, you and me" Lo'ak stared at his twin's hands for a few minutes before speaking. "We're not the same" It sounds more harsh then He attempted it to be. Y/N looked down at her hands again but looking up. "Of course we're the same, Lo'ak. Beacuse your special and I'm special"
"We're not special!" Lo'ak yelled, letting all the anger and rage out. "Don't you get it?! We'll never be one of them! We're freaks!" All the yelling that was coming from the young boy, caught the attention of a few Metkayina near by and the attention of their slibings. Neteyam told kiri and Tuk to go find Jake and Neytiri before running off to the two sully twins. "You're not special, Y/N! It's just something mom and dad tell you to make you feel better about yourself! Beacuse you came out wrong!"
"Lo'ak! Stop it!" Neteyam yelled when he got closer to them. His expression softened when he saw his sister, trembling as tears started to roll down her checks. Neteyam placed his hand gently on Y/N's shoulder, to try and comfort her but she just backed away from him. "I-I'm sorry..." the young girl whispered before running off. Neteyam tried calling out for her but she was too far way to hear him.
Lo'ak watched as her figure soon disappeared, regret instantly over coming him as he realized what he just did. He hurt her. The one person he said he'd never hurt. It felt like his heart had shattered into a million pieces. He could hear his parent's heavy footsteps as they grew closer to their oldest and youngest sons. "What the hell happened here?!" Jake's voice roared at his sons. "I-I..." Lo'ak couldn't get the right words to form as he played helplessly with his fingers. He could see how his mother and brother took off to find Y/N, his twin. Lo'ak knew he messed up big time, but he couldn't help the worry that filled the pit of his stomach. He could barely hear the yelling of his father as he yelled about how disappointed he was in him, how he shouldn't have done that. But he already knew that. He already knew that he had gone too far.

💀˚~˖𓍢ִ໋ ♡*°◇🎧✧˚.⋆◇🦢+*°♡+
You emit a sigh as you sat on a dock with your legs dangling off the edge. Your ears perking up as they heard footsteps approaching you.
Jake sat down beside you, dipping his feet into the water as well.
You flashed him a smile and spoke "hi dad"
"Hey babygirl" he replied with a slight chuckle "how are you sweetheart?"
"Fine" you replied sweetly. He patted your back and rose to his feet. He walked you to your marui so you and your family could sleep.
----------------------
You awoke to your younger brother loak roughly shaking you awake
"Y/n! Y/n! Come on!" He groaned while smaking you with a pillow. You whined and put the pillow over your head, and loak just tore it off.
"Bro what?!" You shouted at him sleepily while he dragged you up by your hand
"Nothing i just wanted to annoy you" loak replied, running off so you wouldn't murder him
"brat!" You yelled in the direction he ran in. You started your morning after sulking for a moment
--------------------
As you finally finished your chores, duties, ect, you plopped down on the sand to allow your body to rest
But this moment of peace didn't last long. You began to hear snickering behind you. You turned toward the sound to find aonung and a few other boys standing there
Aonung still had a bruise from the fight with your brothers last week
"Guess you do fit in here" aonung spoke with a chuckle "with the sand"
you sighed and stood. Spinning on your heel to walk away from these bullys.
Though, they kept teasing you.
Usually you didn't let it get to you. But this time felt...off
You felt tears sting your eyes when one of them pulled your hair. They let go soon after
You spun around and hissed at the boy. "Ooh im so scared" said the boy
You looked around to see if anyone you knew was around, which there was not.
One of the boys mothers called out for him and they all snarled. You let out a sigh of relief when they sprinted away from you
You walked toward a tree, your back pressing up against the rough bark. You slid down to sit on your knees.
You lightly played with the sand beneath you. You heard more footsteps behind you the moment your soft hands cluched a fistfull of sand. Instead of a bully, it was only your twin.
"Hey teyam..." you spoke to him in a dull tone
"What is it, sister?" He sat beside you, placing a hand on your shoulder. "Nothing."
"Dont give me that. I wont hesitate to get dad into this." He hissed. "Jeez i sound like loak..."
You chuckled sadly at his amusing realization. You looked back down at your knees, the Bioluminescent freckles dotted carefully along your legs in a wavy path from your hips, all the way to your ankles.
Neteyam placed two fingers under your chin, his thumb in a light grip just above. He lifted your head and gently turned you to him
"Aonung?"
"Aonung..." you whisper while nodding your head in small movements. Your twin pulled you to his chest in a tight embrace.
"Dont worry, its ok. Loak will handle them" you giggled at the image of your baby bro beating another guy to a pulp for you. Again.
Neteyam brushed some of your hair behind your ear. Running his delicate fingers through it gently.
He pulled you back toward him, with your eyes closed you felt the soft skin of his forehead meet yours.
You let out a small sigh before completely melting in your best friends arms. Your own arms wrapping around his waist and your head resting against his chest.
With every beat of his heart, with every breath he took, every stroke of his fingers running through your beautiful hair, you felt loved. Special. And that your bullys didn't matter.

hi you absolutely do not need to do this but I thought of it last night. (Almost woke up the entire house) can you do a lo'ak x twin sister reader were lo'ak and reader are just walking along the beach holding pinkes maybe just a way they bond (while netayam is spying on them 😑), and they just kick the water from time to time, then reader makes the so called "great discussion" to flick a bit of water at lo'ak with her tail then lo'ak splashed her back and it just ended up a whole spash war then netayam gets in on it, and there just splashing each other, throwing wet sand at there faces, hissing, I find it hilarious when they hiss at each other and there like "come at me bro try me come on-" (its how me and MY siblings bond) then jake and neytiry have to drag them home while there still hissing at each other then netayam like basically throw himself at reader and then jake and neytiry come back like 2 minutes later and see reader has pined netayam on the floor and she's all like "hehe haha funny funny" until they actually get in trouble for it...... sorry this is really specific I just like it, but yeah. Have a absolutely great day/night
summary: [y/n], lo’ak, and neteyam are caught by their parents in the middle of a very important water fight.

water fight
Tumblr media
lo’ak’s pinky was warm against her own. the two walked alongside the water, the consistent crash of salty cold brushing overtop their feet and igniting a chill across [y/n]’s arms. their arms rocked back and forth as they walked, talking and walking without much goal in mind. merely just to catch up.
they liked to do this quite a bit. a session of gossip ( mainly from [y/n] ) and drama to refresh their brains as they walked together. like twin bonding!
“and you would not believe what she said!” [y/n] said, her voice hushing to build up the suspense.
lo’ak shook his head, playing along with her energy. “don’t tell me—”
“yes!” her voice rose, shaking her head with amusement. “she said it. like, who in their right mind?”
it was stupid stuff, nothing worthy of true attention. but, it was fun, and that’s all they needed. the words would relay between the two, but none of it had true weight, and oftentime lo’ak forgot everything they discussed the moment that they returned home. he just loved to entertain his sister.
after a month of living among the metkayina people, they had even more gossip to exchange, some of which included some prodding questions.
“anyway, enough about me,” [y/n] trailed, biting her bottom lip to keep a smile off of her face. “what about you?”
lo’ak scrunched his eyebrows. “what about me?” she never asked about his gossip. she knew he was useless when it came to that stuff!
she groaned dramatically, rolling her eyes so far back that her pupils seemed to have been swallowed by the back of her head for a second. “i mean, what about you and tsireya?”
[y/n] let out a loud laugh at the face he pulled, a deep indigo crawling up his neck. “nothing,” he demanded, voice far too strong for it so be convincing.
“you are a terrible liar.” with that, [y/n] felt the cold water wash over, and as an immediate reaction, she decided to lift her tail upward in a swift motion. with the action came a good bit of water that splashed right onto her brother.
she stopped immediately, hands cupping over her mouth as to contain her laughter. amusement and concern for her life flooded her eyes as she flickered between watching lo’ak’s face and watching his own tail.
[y/n] shrieked as she received the same treatment she gave him, her own arm getting soaked in return. “lo’ak!” she cried, voice whiny as she choked out laughter.
just as she was about to push him over into the wet sand, a movement flickered in her peripheral vision. lo’ak seemed to notice it too, because he immediately fell to a pause, eyebrows furrowing in confusion.
the pair of twins narrowed their eyes, turning slowly. a smile broaden on [y/n]’s face when she saw neteyam frozen in front of them.
he blinked, standing and staring like an idiot. awkwardly, he lifted his arm and waved. “uh, hi!”
“were you spying, big brother?” [y/n] inquired, taking a step forward as she teased him. her tail swished to and fro, watching the way neteyam’s facial expressions changed.
“uh,” he trailed, clearing his throat. “no! of course not.” neteyam knew he was a goner the moment the set of twins exchanged a mischievous look.
before any of them knew it, the trio ended up tussling in the sand. tails and ears were tugged, playful punches were thrown ( softly… well, soft enough ), water was splashed, and all three of them were absolutely demolished by the rising tide.
they wrestled right next to the water, the waves soaking and re-soaking them in a very consistent manner. it seemed like every few seconds they were getting water boarded! but, of course, the geniuses decided it was too much work to move locations.
the fight escalated the moment lo’ak released a fistful of wet sand directly into his sister’s face.
“asshole!” she screeched, jumping on top of him. the tide was rising second by second, and she grinned as the wave flooded directly over his face. “that’s karma.” lo’ak hissed at his sister in response.
unfortunately, her glory was short-lived as neteyam came from behind and grabbed her. she was, once again, screaming for her life as he threw her into the surf.
once she resurfaced, she sputtered, wiping salty water from her eyes. “i’m going to murder you!”
before she could pounce on her eldest brother, she felt a larger pair of hands grab her shoulders, pulling her back into a warm embrace. “[y/n]!” he scolded from above.
immediately, she dropped her head sheepishly. “hey, dad.”
“all three of you realize that you’re in trouble, right?” their silence affirmed his question. he nodded, rolling his eyes.
“why must you make every day difficult?” neytiri held her sons’ biceps firmly, going back and forth from looking at each of them with a disappointed look.
after a beat, lo’ak offered, “well, at least we weren’t fighting any metkayina this time?”
[y/n] fought the smile that attempted to emerge onto her face, feeling the annoyed energy of her father that stood directly behind her. when lo’ak looked back down at his feet, she knew jake had sent a very disapproving look.
neteyam nearly laughed, but quickly covered it up with a cough.
a few seconds later, after a moment of trying to think it through on how to approach the issue, jake decided, “it’s time to go back. it’s nearly eclipse, and you would have known that if you weren’t fighting each other.”
[y/n] nodded slowly, eyes wide. “right,” she trailed.
the sully father tugged on her ear. “attitude,” he warned, to which she bit her bottom lip to hold back laughter. it became even more difficult when she caught the eyes of her brothers.
the walk home was awkwardly silent, the few times that [y/n] attempted to speak to either of her brothers being immediately shut down by the parents.
“this wouldn’t have happened if you hadn’t thrown sand at my face—”
“quiet, [y/n].”
“yes, sir.”
or the occasional “accidental” step on her tail.
the third time that she felt the pressure, she turned to her brother with her teeth bared. “neteyam i swear to eywa—”
“[y/n]!” neytiri hissed, grabbing her by the ear to which [y/n]’s eyes watered and she clawed her mothers wrist.
once they finally reached the marui, the parents had to, unfortunately, speak to tonowari and ronal. as a result, they told kiri that she was in charge. of course, the eldest girl of the family only nodded with a roll of her eyes. there was no way she would get in the way of their fights!
it’d been two minutes of jake and neytiri’s absence, and once they returned, they both groaned at the sight of [y/n] sitting on top of lo’ak’s back, her fingers pulling at his hair. neteyam’s ankles were stuck in lo’ak’s grip as he attempted to crawl away.
the moment they re-entered the marui, the children all went completely silent, staring at their parents.
the first thing to break the silence was [y/n]’s laughter. “whoops!”

You couldn't believe it, your brother, your twin is dead. You along with your younger brother, Tsireya, Spider, your dad and mom watched as he died. You watched how he tried to tell your dad something, but he didn't finish due to him succumb to his injuries and took his last breath. You still remembered how your mom screamed and begged for Eywa to not take him. You still remember how Lo'ak hands were stained with Neteyam's blood and how he looked up at the sky, already in tears. As if he was hoping for some kind of answer. Not only that but how your father went into a state of shock, he stood still as your mom cried over Neteyam's body along with both Spider and Tsireya. What kept you at ease was that he didn't die alone.
The funeral was already over, everyone had already left back to their mauris, except for you. You were still at the beach, looking at the ocean, in the spot where Neteyam was buried. Your face still had the white stripe you wore during the whole ceremony. As well as dried tears on your cheeks. You still couldn't believe it, your other half, gone. The person you shared a womb with, had your first bond with while in the same womb. Your brother was gone. It hurt a lot, you felt as if something had drilled a hole in your heart. You knew it'll be a while to move on, you knew that he'd want you to move on and not mope your life away.
You were busy looking at the ocean, your eyes burning from crying and red. You didn't hear someone approach behind you until he spoke out to you. "Are you ready?" you turned, seen that it was Lo'ak holding two spears. "For what?" you asked, then he tossed you a spear which you caught. "To go after them." Lo'ak said, he too also had the white line still painted on his face. "I get how your feeling.... but going after them won't change anything." You told him, throwing the spear onto the sand. "Won't change anything? Our brother is dead and it's because of them!" Lo'ak shouted. Then you turned to face him. "Killing will only lead to more killing." You repeated the same thing that Tonowari had said in the past.
Lo'ak looked at you in disbelief, you turned away to not face him. "I see." He said angrily. "If you kill them you're just as bad as they were!" You claimed. Then you attempted to take the spear from him, but he pushed you off. "Oh what would you know?!" He hissed at you. "I'm only doing what Neteyam would of wanted, he wouldn't want you to risk your life avenging his death! That won't bring him back!" You shouted back. "You think Neteyam wouldn't want his death to be avenged!? Someone who actually cared about him wouldn't just sit here and do nothing!" he snapped at you. You grabbed his arm so that he'd stop and face you. "Lo'ak, don't upset the Great mother." You warned. He only rolled his eyes and sighed. "Eywa, thanks for your wisdom." He said, almost like an insult, then turned away.
Then stopped, Tsireya was right in front of him, with sadness in her eyes. She had a pleading look for him not to do what he planned on doing. Lo'ak only looked at her, then he went around her, going on with his plan. Tsireya watched him walk away, then she went up to you. "Please, don't let him go with it, he could get himself killed." She begged, you could see and hear her concern. You looked at her, and nodded. "I will, I'm not losing another brother of mine." You said to her, without hesitation, you went after him. You weren't going to loose him either, that's not what Neteyam would of wanted.

ALMOST THO!!! (gif creds: @world-of-pandora)
(p.s. part two is out now!!)
Tumblr media
it was never supposed to end like this. jake's mouth felt bitter. his whole body shook as he let out the most heart-stopping scream when his eyes landed on his eldest daughter. you, neteyam's twin, lay lifeless in his arms. your father cried because he never got to tell you he was proud of you, or that he loved you, or that you didn't need to compare to your brother to still be considered his baby girl.
it wasn't always like this, though.
you and neteyam were always happy and playing around together when you were younger. still, as you two grew older, neteyam took on olo'eyktan training and became his father's perfect warrior. where does that leave you? mo'at had chosen kiri to pursue tsahik training because of her apparent connection to eywa. so where does that leave you? lo'ak took on the role of the troublemaker, and tuk, of course, is just the baby of the family. so where does that leave you?
you're lo'ak's babysitter. making sure the boy doesn't get into trouble, but with your lack of training due to your father training your brother more than you, you weren't really the best babysitter. honestly, it was more lo'ak protecting than you protecting him. he kept you from losing balance while in high places, saved you when you fell into the rapids and flew you home when you forgot your way as if you had not lived in this forest your whole life.
you felt like a burden on your family.
nothing you ever did was right.
you went hunting? cool, but you didn't bring back enough for the whole family, so now neteyam and lo'ak have to go out and find more food for everyone else.
you bead a necklace for your friend? great, but you messed up the pattern she asked for, so she brought it to kiri so she could remake it.
tuk wanted to go play with you? of course! but now she has a sprained ankle from falling into the river while you were looking at flowers a few feet away.
and every time, somehow, some way, your family always managed to say something that felt like a blade stabbed through your heart.
"next time, y/n, just leave the hunting to neteyam and i. at least we know the right amount to bring back." it was lo'ak before he and your twin had to go hunting for more food for dinner a few weeks ago.
"you know, sister, your jewelry hasn't been the same recently. i've had sooo many of your friends coming back to me saying you messed up the pattern they asked for. just try and pay more attention when you're beading." kiri said as you walked into your home. she was re-beading the necklace you gave to your best friend yesterday.
the one she told you was perfect and that she loved it.
"how could you leave your sister unattended like that y/n she could've been killed?! why can't you be like neteyam? you’re twins, for crying out loud, y/n. do you not care for your sister's well-being?" your father scolded you outside your grandmother's hut. you could hear her cries inside the tent, along with your mother's gentle words of comfort, as she tried to calm her youngest daughter down.
you were being compared to your twin for the millionth time in your life, and as used to this as you should be, it still hurt just as bad as the first time your father had said it.
"she only sprained her ankle. it was an accident sempu–" you tried to defend yourself, but you were cut off.
"NO. it is, sir. do you understand me?" jake yelled at you. in your 18 years, your father had never raised his voice at you, let alone for you calling him 'sempu.' he used to love it when you called him because you were his ite and he was your sempu. but right now, to him, you were just someone who had hurt his child and nothing more than that. you hang your head, eyes falling to the floor in front of you as you didn't want your father to see you cry.
"sorry, sir." was all you said before walking away. you don't know where you walked, but you found yourself at the abandoned shack. you knew this area was forbidden, so when you realized where you were, you immediately crouched. you were just gonna walk back because your father would kill you if he found out you were over here, but then you heard voices. you looked through the bush to see a group of 3 or 4 avatars. you knew you couldn't escape now, so you pressed on the collar of your neck.
"sempu– sorry. sir, i need help, i wasn't paying attention to where i was walking, and i can hear avatars speaking english and–" your father cut you off.
"where are you?" he, your mother, and your two brothers were patrolling around your land's territories when they heard you through their earpieces.
you let out a heavy sigh, praying to eywa that he wouldn't chew your ass up for being here, before pressing the button again and saying,
"i'm at the abandoned shac–AHH! OWW, LET GO, YOU ASSHOLE!!" you couldn't finish as one of the avatars found your hiding spot, grabbing you by your queue.
thankfully your family had heard enough. your twin telling his father he knew a shortcut, they all flew as fast as they could to you. honestly, this was their last straw. everyone was fed up with you constantly making things hard for everyone.
your mother, though, was worried. you were caught by those skydemons all by yourself. who knew what they would do to you?
as you waited for your family, you were roughly held by your queue as they poked and prodded at you like they had never seen a native before.
"let me see your hands." the man with a buzzcut spoke.
"why don't you look at my feet instead?" you said. they all gave you a confused look until you kicked quaritch right in his face. you don't know how, but it caused the avatar behind you to loosen his grip, so you tried to make a break for it.
unluckily for you, the female avatar grabbed your arm, pulling you back into her form. she gripped you by your neck, unaware that she had pressed the button on your communicator. you hissed at her. the man you had kicked was only laughing as he wiped the blood dripping from his nose. "she must be one of his. she's defiant. grab her hands, let me see." he said
the avatar behind you grabbed your hands, holding them both out.
"hm… four fingers. maybe she's not one of his." were they gonna let you go? wishful thinking.
"fine. she may not be one of his but if one of their people go missing they're bound to come for her. keep her." his words made your heart sank. were they gonna take you? away from everything? your home? your family? if you could even call it that.
but then you thought about it. you really can't call it that. you don't remember the last happy memory you had with someone, anyone, in your family. it clicked to you that it had been about 10 minutes since you had radioed your father, and he wasn't here yet. were they even coming for you? you knew it was a stupid question. they weren't coming for you. why would they when this was the easiest way to get rid of the weak link of the family? it's not like your blood would be on their hands, and their life would be way better without you.
"they're not gonna come for me. i have no family. you killed my family in the last war, you dickhead." you lied to the man you had kicked earlier.
hearing you say this confused your family. what were you talking about?
"dammit you're an orphan? i didn't know the na'vi had any of those. then what do we do with her. she's useless. nobody will notice she's gone." the woman behind you asked her superior.
"hmm.. i have a better idea. kill her. use her as a warning to the sullys. this is what we're capable of now. it'll be a threat. give us jake sully and nobody else will die. but this one… this one is our lab rat. we're gonna make you bleed out nice and slow little one." he said as he grabbed his pistol off his waist, pressing it below your jaw. the nickname made you internally gag, but you held your ground.
these people had no real idea how tired you really were. you were exhausted. you were ready for life with eywa. you wanted your deity to hold you close, keep you warm, and protect you from the harsh real world. the world that your parents didn't adequately prepare you for. the world that you were ready to leave.
"kill me," you said as you grabbed quaritch's wrist and moved his gun from under your jaw to right above your heart. "and make it quick. nobody will come for me anyways," you said in a monotone voice.
the avatars all looked at you in awe. they had never once seen a na'vi so willing to give up their life. the natives they had all met were vicious, hissing and armed, always ready to kill. but you. you were the opposite.
you were fed up and ready to die. but not for your people. for your own inner peace.
"no," quaritch said, putting his gun down. that shocked everyone. like he shocked his soldiers and your family, who had been listening the whole time. they were trying to get to you as fast as possible.
hearing how you really felt was a wake-up call for your family. and when they heard bullets moving within the chamber of quaritch's pistol, they all flew their ikrans as fast as possible, weaving through trees and around mountains, trying to get to you.
you looked at the man like he had just betrayed you.
"DO IT, YOU COWARD! FUCKING DO IT! NOBODY WILL COME FOR ME!! THEY DON'T CARE!! THEY DON'T FUCKING CARE!!" you don't know what came over you, but you tried to wrestle quaritch's pistol out of his hands. your family was only 2 clicks away and could hear you struggling. everyone landed at the same time. the sullys, excluding tuk and kiri, who had stayed with mo'at, caught quaritch's attention, which distracted him enough for you to pull the gun from his grip.
you distanced yourself from everyone, and looking around, you realized you were surrounded by everyone. your family and these random avatar people. everyone could read you. you were a ticking time bomb and the only person in control of the trigger was you. one of the avatars took a step forward slowly, but you saw him move and point the gun at him. it didn't stop him from moving, but you heard screams of protest when you pointed the gun at your own head. that's when everyone froze. the avatars. your family. nature. time. eywa. you. everything was frozen.
"babygirl…" the nickname made you snap your neck to the man who was the root of your problems.
"NO! no, you do not get to call me that. if i can't call you ma sempu, don't bother referring to me as your daughter." you said. your energy was depleted, and you knew you would only be able to stand here for a couple more minutes before you opened your own doors and walked to your great-mother. jake tried to take a step closer to you, which only caused you to tense up and pull on the trigger a little bit. everyone immediately backed up, your mother hissing at you through her tears. "MA ITE, PUT THE GUN DOWN," she screamed at you.
"sa'nok…" you whimpered, not even being able to look her in the eyes.
"sa'nu… i can't" you sobbed. you could barely breathe and your tears were coming down in waterfalls at this point. you couldn't see anything clearly. your tears had blurred your vision.
you knew your mom loved you. she and tuk were the only ones in the family who had never uttered a harsh word in your direction. though she was busy taking care of tuk, so it wasn't like you got much attention from them either. but there's no way you would blame her or tuk for that. if anything, you're sorry that you have to leave them, but this world isn't for you. you turned on your heels, looking at the man whose gun you took.
"you are a coward. you should've pulled the goddamn trigger. you're fucking pathetic. are you happy now? now everyone here gets to experience what they've waited so long for." nobody had ever heard you speak to anyone like that. honestly, they couldn't tell if your words were directed at quaritch or yourself.
you inhaled, looking up at the eclipse, your bioluminescent freckles glowing brighter than they ever had in the nighttime as tears cascaded down your face.
"goodbye," you said as you squeezed the trigger, hearing a loud bang and tons of screaming. you felt no pain, though. you opened your eyes, not realizing you had closed them, and looked around. you noticed your pistol was stuck in the tree in front of you with an arrow clean through it. you turned to your twin with hate in your eyes. he lowered his bow as he read your expression.
"now you wanna save me?" your voice was weak but filled with venom.
"why didn't you save me when you noticed i stopped hanging out with you guys? hm? why didn't you teach me when i was younger? huh? why didn't you talk to me other than when you were chewing my ass out for something that was A FUCKING ACCIDENT, GODAMMIT. WHY?!" you felt like your tears were endless.
"WHY DIDN'T YOU LOVE ME?! ANSWER ME YOU FUCKERS!! WHY DON'T YOU LOVE ME?!" you screamed your frustrations at your father and brothers. none of them could look you in your eyes, save for your mother. "you only want to save me because you know how much i don't want to be saved anymore but it's too goddamn late," you said.
you turned to the female avatar who was holding you from before. you noticed her gun earlier and hoped you looked threatening enough for her to use it as you ran in her direction. she didn't know what to do. she didn't know you were a barely trained warrior or that you wouldn't have put a scratch on her. she didn't know you were harmless. all she knew was that you were a native, and the natives were hostile.
so she pulled her gun out and fired two shots into your chest.
the momentum of the bullet was enough to stop you from running. you felt the searing pain start to blossom in your chest area. falling to your knees, your eyes met the woman who had shot you. you looked at her shirt, reading her name. it was a funny name to you, but you didn't care. she had fulfilled your wish without even knowing it. so you used your last breath to speak.
"thank you, z-dog" you slumped over on your side, as everything started to go slow. your vision was starting to darken, and you let it consume you, not wanting to fight for your life anymore.
cue the screams and cries from your family and the fleeing steps of the rda soldiers. your chest stopped rising and falling, and your breathing had ceased. your family surrounded your body, trying to stop your bleeding and preserve the life that had already left your body. still, you had been shot twice, and both bullets had exit wounds. it was no use. nearby, na'vi had heard the screams of distress and had called over some hunters and scouts to investigate the scene since they knew the area was near the forbidden old shack.
the hunters and scouts arrived at the scene armed and ready to defend their people, but what they were met with was the last thing they expected to see. the eldest sully daughter was lying on the floor, motionless, with two bullet holes in her chest and her blood sinking into the forest floor. her family leaned over her body, screaming and crying for her to be okay and to return to them. they whispered how sorry they were. they whispered to her how if she came back, they would treat her right, teach her, hang out with her, and love her like they were supposed to. but it's too late.
nobody knew how to react. the eldest sully daughter had died, and nobody but her family knew what had happened.
“ma ite, oel ngati kameie. i see you. i'm sorry, i'm so so sorry. you don't have to be your brother. being you was just fine." your father cried as he cradled your head. brushing your hair away from your face, getting blood on your cheek since his hands were covered in it.
neteyam and lo'ak were each holding one of your hands. they cried as they watched their tears pool in your palm and then fall off the edge to drip into the soil below your body. they couldn't believe they treated you like anything less than their sister. they treated you like you were a stranger, a burden to deal with. and now that you were gone, they could not tell you how sorry they were for how they treated you.
neytiri was inconsolable. her firstborn daughter had just died in front of her eyes. willingly. she wanted this. her own daughter wanted to take her life. and she couldn't do anything to stop it. how could she not know? how did you go 18 years hurting in silence? how did she not know you needed to be saved?
"ma ite. my baby. ma y/n." neytiri's heart shattered when she saw those bullets go through your chest. she cried over your body for what felt like hours, but it was only a few minutes until the male healers came so they could carry you to the healing tents to prepare you for your burial ritual.
as jake pulled his mate from your body, she started to push against him trying to get him to let go of her so she could return to her daughter.
eventually, jake lets go, unable to keep his mate from her child. he joined her and just asked the healers to give your family a minute with you.
they just nodded in understanding, leaving your family to grieve.
two pairs of footsteps rushed towards the clearing, where the family mourned one of their own.
kiri and tuk had heard the news and came as fast as they could. tuk screamed, running up to you and curling herself into your chest as she sobbed into your neck. she didn't care if she was getting blood all over herself. you were her older sister, and she didn't even get to say goodbye. she felt nothing but sadness and loss. tuk felt terrible because the last time she had seen you was earlier when you brought her back from the stream because she had sprained your ankle. and now you were lying on the forest floor dead? how did this happen?
"HOW DID THIS HAPPEN?! SISTER, PLEASE!!" kiri begged you to wake up as she placed herself where her father was earlier. she rested your head in her lap, looking into your lifeless yellow eyes. you were her elder sister. as much as you didn't know, kiri looked up to you. she knew how hard you tried for the family, and though it wasn't your fault that you would mess up a necklace every once and a while, she couldn't help but feel guilty for the words she said to you in those moments. she knew she could've should've been nicer about it.
when it was finally time for the healers to take your body, once again, neytiri tried to fight against them. this time everyone in the family had to hold her back as the healer walked you away in a leaf big enough to cover your entire body from the eyes of those around you. once you were gone from her view, neytiri fell to the floor again, sobbing into the ground,
"GREAT MOTHER, WHY?!!" their mother's screams felt like a knife in their hearts. the sully family felt nothing but guilt and grief upon your death. nobody got closure because there is no closure for this kind of thing. they were the reason you wanted to die, and now that you got what you wanted, they had to live with that guilt.
you were high in being held in eywa's embrace as you cried. looking down on your family. you did not regret your decision, but you just had one question for your deity.
"did they really love me, great mother." eywa heaved a sigh before answering you.
"my ite, your mother and youngest sister loved you everyday, they were just very poor at showing it i'm afraid." you nodded your head, asking a follow-up question,
"what about the others?" you knew by her face that you wouldn't like the answer, but it was too late. the question was asked. and the answer is precisely the reason why you did what you did.
"they loved you just a little bit too late, my child."

Odd socks | Neteyam’s twin
There is now a full fic available to read. If you’re interested, here is the link to the masterlist.
Reader as Neteyam’s twin sister.
I was showering when I had this idea come in my head, followed by many others about how this twin would fit in with the story. Not proofread!!
When Neytiri was first pregnant with you both, she had obviously began to show her baby bump quicker since there was the two of you inside her. As months went by, she and her mother began to wonder why her stomach was so big when there was only meant to be one child in there. It was only when Mo’at felt Neytiri’s stomach and felt 2 pairs of feet kick.
It was very rare among the Navi for twins to be born. In the few cases were twins where born, either one child was born weaker and passes away or the mother passes away herself. This worried everyone. For the remainder of her pregnancy, she would pray to Ewya, pray for both of her babies to be born healthy and let her live to see them grow. At night, Jake would come and lay down with her, they both would talk about who the two babies would take after, the challenges they would face in parenthood with two babies at once.
However, they soon discovered that Grace’s avatar was also pregnant, how it was possible was a mystery but both Jake and Neytiri agreed to adopt her child. They already had 2 on the way, another one couldn’t hurt. (I believe kiri is slightly younger than Neteyam right? pls tell me if I am wrong-)
Once Neytiri had given birth, Mo’at was the first to realise that you had 3 fingers on your left hand and 4 on your right. While you brother only had 3 fingers on both of his hands. When both you and Neteyam were put side by side, nobody could tell you both apart had it not been for your right hand with 4 fingers. Jake gave you the nickname ‘odd socks’ for it, you would laugh with him whenever he would call you that until you were old enough to know what ‘odd socks’ were.
Raising three babies at once was difficult at times. Especially after the three of you learn’t how to crawl. You in particular had to always had to be under supervision as you had developed a tendency to crawl away a lot. You would take any chance you could get to run away. Jake found it amusing to see you dash away on all fours as fast as your tiny hands and feet could take you. Of course, you never actually got very far before you would be picked up by either your father or mother. You would coo at them with a tiny frown on your face afterwards.
“I’m sorry but you’re not old enough to go off on your own yet odd socks.” Your father would say to you as he carries you back to your mother and siblings. Once put down again on the floor to play with your sister and brother you would try to crawl away again. “Do I have to tie you up or something?” Jake would joke.
You began to walk first out of you, Neteyam and Kiri. It happened when Jake and Neytiri went out hunting together one day and your grandmother was taking care of the three of you. She had managed to keep you three seated still by telling you all small simple stories but you soon lost interest in her story as you heard something fall behind you. You turned around and saw a wooden carving of a navi man, a toy you and your siblings play with. You were about to crawl away but you heard your grandmother call out to you.
Turning back around you waited for some chance for when you could crawl away. You got that chance when Mo’at turned around to get something she wanted to show you three. You giggled to yourself as you began to quickly crawl away. Neteyam watched you crawl away and smiled as he also joined you in escaping and Kiri followed him.
The wooden doll kept rolling and you kept crawling after it. The doll the rolled down some stairs. You remember how adults would go down the stairs on their 2 feet and then tried to do the same. Using the wall beside you as support you tried to stand up. Each time you would fall down, both Kiri and Neteyam would giggle. Mo’at soon found the three of you and saw you standing up. She clapped and laughed, cheering you on.
Jake and Neytiri had arrived back home after another successful hunt, the two of them made their way to Mo’at’s place to get the three of you back. Once they did find the four of you, Neytiri gasped as you walked towards them, sure you were quite wobbly and fell down once while on your way but both her and Jake were so happy.
Once the three of you could walk and run, there was no stopping the three of you. Neytiri got pregnant again, this time with lo’ak. This meant that most of the time it was Jake trying to catch the three of you running away. You were quick on your little feet, eager to experience the world and put anything that looks interesting into your mouth.
The first time you three saw lo’ak, he was sleeping soundly in your mothers arms. You three looked at him in awe of how tiny he was. Which all newborns tend to be. Neteyam slowly reached out to hold lo’ak’s hand, you watched his hand take the tiny baby’s fist in his palm. “Tiny”, you told your dad who chuckled and nodded while ruffling your hair, “You were once that tiny too, though you really aren’t much bigger than him anyway.”
There were times when you and Neteyam would pretend to be each other, You would undo your braids and try to messily recreate each other’s hair style. You both would walk up to your parents and hide your hands behind your back since you had an extra finger and they could easily tell you apart by just looking at your hands. However, you mother always managed to know who was who and then would tell you off for making your hair so messy. You’re dad on the other hand would pretend not to know just to amuse you both because he remembered how when him and his twin brother would do the same when they were younger.
While growing up, out of the four children Jake and Neytiri have, you had grown to be the social butterfly. You were friends with practically all of the the children in the clan. You were even friends with some of the children that were older than you by a few years. Neteyam was a but more reserved than you but he still was open to being friends with anyone that approached him. Kiri was only friends with others who kept to themselves like she did, she had not taken a liking to those who were very loud. Lo’ak would stick with either you or Neteyam and hang out with whoever you were with at the time. Neither you or Neteyam mind whether Lo’ak hung out with you or not but he did soon find a friend for himself.
It was the four of you, and after just a few years it was five. Tuktirey, your youngest sister or Tuk as your family mostly call her. As she grew, your parents noticed how much she acted like you, lively and bouncy, eager to see everything. There would be times when you and Neteyam would take Tuk out exploring in the forest, though you three never really went too far from home, to her it seemed as if you guys were miles away.
You liked it when you could take your siblings out to the forest with Neteyam, it was fun. All of you would challenge each other to see who could climb the highest, it always came down to you and Neteyam and it varied each time who would win out of the two of you. Sometimes it would be races and little Tuk would get frustrated being last each time so you and your siblings would purposely slow down so she could win one time. Other times, you would find places to sit down and talk about how your father came from a star and the battles him and your mother fought.
Soon you and Neteyam had to choose an Ikran. Neteyam went first, he had made it seem so easy as he managed to make the bond with his Ikran rather quickly. However, as you were watching him, you noticed another Ikran behind his, one that looked identical to his. Just by looking at how similar the patters and colours were, you wondered if that Ikran would choose you. You had made eye contact with the other Ikran and it opened its mouth to let out a screech at you. “Quick, looks like that once chose you.” Your father whispered to you, he was only standing right behind you, gently pushing you forward to win that Ikran over. “ Go get her odd socks.” You gave him a quick ‘really dad?’ look for the nickname but walked up to the ikran.
Now you were much closer to the Ikran, up close you could see just how identical the Ikran was to Neteyam’s, only difference being that it’s colours were ever so slightly darker. You struggles a bit longer than Neteyam did but you were soon able to make the bond. You could feel the adrenaline run through your veins as you told your Ikran to fly. Naturally, it flew straight down, you panicked and quickly told your Ikran to fly back up. As you flew back up you could hear your parents cheering you and your brother on. Once your Ikran levelled out, you caught up to Neteyam and the two of you flew together for a bit before being joined by Kiri who also got her Ikran a couple minutes later.  Soon, Lo’ak and your parents caught up to you three and your whole family flew together back home.
While growing up, you guys were often visited by Spider, a human boy who was left here since he was too small to go back. He would play with you guys as kids but once you grew up, you weren’t as close since you didn’t really get the time to spend much time playing, as did Neteyam. This meant that your younger siblings got closer to Spider much more than you and your twin brother did. This only was because both you and Neteyam were the Olo’eyktan’s eldest children, it could be either one of you that become the next clan leader. Not only that, but your father was Toruk Makto. This meant that the two of you had much more to live up to.
However, just to escape all the responsibilities, sometimes you would go flying on your ikran on the rare day off, often joined by your twin brother. The two of you would go flying and fly for a few hours, always being back home before eclipse. There was this one time lo’ak joined you two and the three of you tried showing off all the cool tricks you could do with your ikran while flying, your younger brother nearly fell off trying to do a flip. Once you and Neteyam made sure he was safe, you both couldn’t help but laugh. Lo’ak felt embarrassed but a small smile was ghosting his face as he heard the two of you laugh, he knew you both were stressed the past few days and was happy to hear you both enjoy yourselves. Even though he often acts like a headache, he does care about his older brother and sister.
Though both you and Tuk were similar it often led to small arguments where you get told off in the end because you were significantly older than her. For example, Tuk looked up to Neteyam a lot while growing up and saw him as another father figure. This meant that if she could she would spend time with him whenever. This included stealing him away when he was spending time with his other siblings. “Tuk I know he is your favourite but you can’t steal him whenever you want you know.” You rolled your eyes.
“Yes I can! Come on Neteyam!” She tugged on his arm.
“No you can’t” You held onto his other arm, the two of you had been pretty busy the last two days and you had decided on going out to fly. You already were pretty annoyed to start with and Tuk was just fuelling your annoyance right now.
“Guys, how about you don’t pull my arms off-”
“I am his little sister, he has to come with me.” Tuk argued with you.
“I was his sister before you were!” You argued back.
Unfortunately, even though Neteyam promised to spend time with her later, Tuk threatened to tell your mother that you were leaving her out You were even more annoyed and Neteyam did give you an apologetic smile before he was dragged away by your little sister. You sighed to yourself and went off to go do whatever Lo’ak and his friends were doing. (Tuk did apologise later though, Neteyam probably talked her into doing it.)
You remember this one time you found a particularly pretty rock when heading back home from training one day. You thought that you could turn it into a necklace. So then for the next few days, just before you are meant to go to sleep you would dedicate some of your time to work on that necklace. You added some coloured beads to it too. Once you had finished it you held it up in your hands to admire it. The sunlight shined through the opaque rock and let out a orange pool of light to spill out from it. “That looks beautiful. Did you make that?” You heard your sister speak behind you. You turn around to look at Kiri. You smile and nod. She sits down besides you, getting a closer look at the necklace you made. You smile and go to put the necklace on her. “Here, I want to see how it would look on you.” You tell her. She smiles back at you and watches you put the necklace around her neck. It shines around her neck. “You look pretty.” You compliment her. She smiles again and thanks you for it, moving her hands up to remove it and give it back to you. You stop her and tell her that she can keep it. You don’t wear necklaces anyway. She thanks you again. giving you a tight hug before going to continue on with her day. You always saw her wearing the necklace and never saw her without it. You would smile each time you saw it around her neck.
Like you when you were younger, Tuk would often disappear while exploring on her own. This meant you and your siblings would have create a little search party amongst yourselves to quickly find her before your parents find out and give you an earful of how irresponsible you are. One time you found her looking at a baby ikran from afar. You put a hand on her shoulder and she looked up at you. “When can I get my own ikran?” She asked you. “When you are ready and being ready doesn’t mean disappearing whenever you feel like it.” You gently scold her. She gives you a sheepish grin and looks back at the baby ikran wobble over to its mother who busies herself eating. “Come on, lets go back and tomorrow I’ll take you flying on my ikran.” She gasps in excitement and the two of you go back home, talking about the future and how she will beat you at flying with her future ikran.
While Neteyam and Lo’ak would go with your parents with the war party as spotters, you would go with a group of hunters who would hunt food for the whole clan. Though you weren’t with your siblings or parents while hunting, you had plenty of friends so you never felt lonely. In fact, you quite liked hunting and your aim with the arrow got far better each time, being able to hit your target from much father distances and even with a few objects in the way, you still managed to hit your prey. You ever learnt a few new tricks with your ikran. Over time, you became one of the best hunters among your age of Navi. There was something about flying in with your ikran, pulling out your bow and arrow to hit your target, watching your arrow hit your prey fight where it kills them that makes you start to breath a little harder. You get an adrenaline rush each time but you always wanted more. You wanted an actual fight. Though you never told anyone this, you did try to convince your father to allow you to join your brothers as spotters. He agreed and the first time you joined them you gave in to lo’ak’s idea of joining the fight while Neteyam would roll his eyes at the two of you. You and lo’ak got told off by Jake later that day. Since that day, you were only allowed to join your brothers as spotters if absolutely necessary.
Over dinner, you would talk with your siblings about your day, Neteyam and Lo’ak going over what they saw at spotters, you talking about how hunting went and what new hunting tack ticks you discovered, Kiri complaining how your grandmother wouldn’t listen to her when she kept saying how one type of medicine is much better than the current one they use and Tuk would talk about how she found a baby bird in the forest.
You liked how everything was. Each day was exciting, there was always so much to do. You prayed to Ewya that everything would stay the same. Though there was that uncertainty in the future about who would take over your father, you or Neteyam and you were sure that when the time comes, it won’t be so easy to decide but that is for the future you to worry about. Right now, you decided to enjoy what you have.
It was often your two brothers that would come back wounded from being spotters, even though they aren’t meant to actually be involved in the fighting but there were times when the hunt would be particularly rough, causing you to injure yourself. Whenever this would happen you would walk over to wherever Kiri happened to be, which was usually by your family tent. She would patch you up while teasingly scolding you. Sometimes Neteyam or Lo’ak would be there with you and she would actually scold them. You would lightly laugh at the sight, joining Kiri in telling your brothers off. “Hey, you’re injured too. Kiri why don’t you tell her off for a change.” Lo’ak would complain. You would stick your tongue out at him, telling him that you aren’t in here for medical attention as much as he is. You do worry about your brothers coming back hurt more than you but at the end of the day, you can’t do much since you aren’t always there with them. You are told to go hunting while they go to other places where violence is always a threat.
(Jake doesn’t let you go bc he knows you’d be worse than Lo’ak when it comes to resisting the urge to join the fight. So he makes you go hunting instead. Though those one off times where you do join them, he has to keep an eye out for you and Lo’ak and Neteyam, the poor boy, has twice the amount of idiots to look out for.)
(Also if Jake ever wants to talk to you through the throat microphone he would say your code name is ‘odd socks’)
(You roll your eyes each time he says that.)
(I’m gonna have to make a pt.2)
(bye bye)

“Omatikayaru tìhawnu sivi”- Protect the people.
sully family x reader
Tumblr media
shoutout to @eywas-heir for giving me the idea for this fic, i hope i did it justice :)
pairings: sully family x reader, neytiri x daughter!reader, jake sully x daughter! reader, neteyam x twinsister!reader etc.
notes: this is set during the events of avatar twow and I had sm fun writing this! this fic is 2k+ words so be prepared
synopsis: you’re the twin sister to neteyam. growing up you served as the families little bit of peace, even when quaritch threatens everything you know and love.
…Mìpa tìreyti, mìpa tìkanti. Lawnol a mì te’lan.
One of your earliest memories was your mother and father cradling you and your twin brother Neteyam, while your mother sings her songcord. Your mothers voice always had an affect on you from a young age.
“y/n, please stop fighting with your brother.” You always listened to what your mother had to say, even if it was a scolding. You loved your dad endlessly but you were a mama’s girl at heart, and everyone knew it.
She sees a lot of her late older sister in you. Your compassion for Pandora’s animal life, your strong will, and your love for the people.
“Ma' ite, she is beautiful.” Your grandmother constantly reminded your mother how happy she is that you’re her first grandchild. Your whole family adored you and that continued even into your teen years
“Ma sempul Lo’ak has done nothing wrong, let him be.” You never failed to stand up for your younger brother to your father, even when what he did was truly stupid. You never let your brother feel like he was not supported by you. Today however, was different.
When you got the message that Lo’ak, Kiri, Spider, and Tuk were at the old shack with sky people present, you felt could not defend him. He had put himself and your siblings in a dangerous position.
After rescuing your siblings from Quaritch and his people, you couldn’t help but to let your anger with your brother dissipate. Your gratefulness for their safety was a stronger feeling than your anger for them being in that situation in the first place.
꧁꧂
Later that night after finishing a conversation with a few of your friends you make your way back to your families tent. You catch your siblings seated outside of your home seemingly listening to someone’s conversation. “Guys what are you do-” Kiri sushes you, gesturing for you to sit down with them.
“I can not, you can not ask this. I can not leave my people, I will not!” Your ears perk up at the mention of leaving the people. ‘What’s going on?’ You wonder. Your father says something about him targeting your family. You immediately know who he’s referring to. “You can not ask this! The children everything they’ve ever known, the forest, this is our home!” Your mom bites back. Tuk winces upon hearing your mom yell at your dad. Placing a hand on her shoulder you nod at her, giving her a faint smile attempting to keep her grounded.
“My father gave me this bow as he lay dying. And he said ‘protect the people’ you’re Toruk Makto!” At this point you and your siblings are all on edge, as you begin to understand what your dad is insisting. Tuk wraps herself in your embrace as you attempt to soothe her irregular breathing. Kiri has a hand over her mouth as she lets out quiet sobs. Your brothers have serious faces on with saddened eyes.
“But I know one thing, wherever we go this family is our fortress.” You and your siblings make eye contact sharing a knowing look. Your father has never given your family any reason not to trust him, this is no different.
꧁꧂
Turning back you’re met with the forest, your people, and your home getting smaller and smaller as you ride off with your family to a new region of Pandora.
You learned how to hunt there, you bonded with your Ikran there, you attended Tsahìk lessons with your grandmother there. The forest is your home and your life’s first love. Nowhere could ever replace it.
Although if this is truly the best choice for the safety of your family, you’re willing to go as far as it takes.
꧁꧂
Arriving at Awa'atlu, everything felt wrong. You felt outcast for the first time in your life. You and your siblings immediately being subject to the bullying of the Olo'eyktan’s son Ao’nung and his friends didn’t help the feeling either.
“Leave us alone!” Your ears perk up, your head swiftly turning to where you’re hearing the commotion. Your eyes land on the sight of Lo’ak and Kiri being harassed by Ao’nung and his friends. Making eye contact with Neteyam you both make your way over to your younger siblings.
Roughly shoving Ao’nung away from your brother and giving him a deadly stare, your eyes narrowing at him. “You heard what she said, leave them alone.” Neteyam demands. One of his friends attempts to talk back to him and before you can respond to him Ao’nung raises his hand infront of is body, silencing him. “Back off now!” You hiss tilting your head, daring him to say anything back. Ao’nung then raises his hands in surrender. “Smart choice, and from now on I need you to respect my siblings.” Checking to make sure all of you are ok you begin to retreat back to your marui pod.
Walking away they begin to talk more shit under their breaths about your family. Lo’ak stops walking with us and turns back. Neteyam warns him to stop but Lo’ak dismisses him and continues to walk over to the group. Neteyam makes eye contact with you, clearly confused as the two of you watch the scene unfold.
Suddenly Lo’ak punches Ao’nung in the face twice, and he’s sent back by the blow into the sand. “It’s called a punch bitch!” They immediately gang up on your brother, he starts losing the fight and fast. “Teyam do something!” You whisper yell to your brother. He looks at you scratching his head contemplating getting into a fight for his little brother, ultimately deciding to jump in to help him.
꧁꧂
After all the fighting Lo’ak and Neteyam returned home all bruised up. Your father was not having it, ordering you all to go make peace with Ao’nung. Once your brothers left with defeated faces you stick behind to talk with your dad.
“Lo’ak was only defending Kiri, Sully’s stick together and that’s what he was doing. The execution wasn’t the best sure but he still stood up for her, don’t be so harsh.” He sends you a sympathetic smile and pulling you into his chest, wrapping you in his strong arms, and kissing the top of your head. “Alright babygirl.”
꧁꧂
The peace that was made between the two families was soon destroyed when Teyam comes in dragging Ao’nung by his arm “Tell them what you told me” Looking at your parents in confession you listen to what Aonung has to say.
The color drains from your face he reveals what has happened with your brother. Throughout the night you wondered where he had gone off to, figuring he was out doing his own thing with his new friend Tsireya you brushed it off.
When your little brother returned home you ran to him trapping him in a tight embrace, thanking Eywa for his safety. He relaxes in your embrace but quickly tenses back up at the sight of your enraged mother.
꧁꧂
The following weeks at Awa'atlu were rather peaceful for you. Lo’ak told you all about Payakan, the clan shamed him for it but you found it interesting and agreed with him that Payakan is a hero. So did little Tuk, she constantly asked him about his new found friend.
The Tulkun returned home, and you swear to Eywa it was the most beautiful sight. You got better and better at riding your ilu and holding you breath thanks to Tsireya’s lessons. Things for your family were starting to look up.
꧁꧂
You were cooking dinner with your parents when you got the news that started the spiral that sent everything downhill.
You and your mother were laughing at your father’s corny jokes, simply enjoying one another’s company when Tonowari walked past your marui pod, causing you all to fall silent. Your mom gave your dad a questioning look as he makes his way to Tonowari.
꧁꧂
Ronal’s spirit sister and her baby were killed by Quaritch. Noticing how your mom’s heart clinches at Ronal’s cries reminding her of when her own sister was taken by the sky people, you place a hand on her shoulder trying to soothe your mother.
When the clan gets word on what has happened, all hell breaks loose. Your father attempts to reason with them that attacking the sky people will end in defeat but they persist. “Please, listen to my father!” You beg the people to hear him out but their war cries only grow louder.
Your father shows off the tracker to clan, silencing them all. It is decided that the clan will warn the tulkun and tell them to leave. The clan thinks this is about the Tulkun but your family knows it’s really you being hunted.
Lo’ak runs off to the docks, Neteyam and you following after him knowing he’s going to warn Payakan. Lo’ak argues with Neteyam about him being the perfect son he’ll never be and it hurts your heart. He jumps into the water and takes off on his ilu. Neteyam and you yell his name in unison as you jump in after him, commanding your ilus to follow him.
꧁꧂
When you find Payakan, he has a tracker lodged in his arm. Using the strength of You, Neteyam, Lo’ak, Rotxo, Ao’nung, and Tsireya you manage to pull the tracker out. Successfully rescuing him.
In the process Kiri, Tuk, Lo’ak, and Tsireya are captured and bound the the ship. Your parents along with the metkiyna warriors arrive aiding in the fight, Payakan does too.
Dodging every bullet from underwater effortlessly, you make your way to the ship. Emerging from the water you run to Lo’ak cutting him loose while Neteyam frees Tuk and Tsireya.
“Did ya miss me little bro?” You tease. Rolling his eyes and shaking his bound wrist “Just hurry up!”
Cutting him loose “Cmon bro lets go.” Neteyam and you begin to exit the ship but Lo’ak turns back, taking a gun from a dead sky person.
“They have spider” Lo’ak begs you and Neteyam to save him. You know how much Spider means to him, they grew up together after all. Sharing a look with Neteyam he groans and reluctantly agrees.
Together You and your brothers take out every last human in the area seamlessly. Using your knife to puncture one of its oxygen mask while kicking the back side of their knee bringing them to the floor, slitting their throat. Successfully retrieving Spider you rest your hands on your knees trying to calm your uneven breathing, “Nice kill sis!” Lo’ak praises, hitting the back of his head in response annoyed by his joking in a serious situation.
“Guys go! go!” Neteyam shouts, redirecting your attention to the avatar shooting at the three of you. Once the four of you reach cover you take the gun out of Lo’ak’s possession, firing back at your attackers.
“Lo’ak jump go!” You order and be wastes no time jumping off of the ship into the water below, the other two boys following right behind him. You stay behind continuing to fire bullets at the group shooting at you, you’re out numbered now. Quickly reciting a prayer to Eywa you dive into the water.
When you emerge from under the water you gasp at the stinging sensation in your shoulder.
“Oh shit y/n.” Spider gasps and everyone’s attention is on you in an instant. You feel yourself being pulled onto an ilu as your eyes start to feel heavy. “Y/n hey, hey, stay awake ok?” Lo’ak pleads as he cradles you in his arms.
꧁꧂
“Watch her head! Watch her head” You hear someone frantically yell. You gather that you’re being pulled onto some form of land. Feeling strong hands grasp your shoulders examining your body, your eyes flutter open. “Babygirl? Hey sweetie keep your eyes open for me yeah?”
You feel heavy, your eyes are clouded with tears, everything hurts. As you blink in and out of consciousness you notice everyone is hovering around you in a circle, and a new figure emerges.
“Oh my sweet girl, Eywa please.” She begs “Momma i’m scared, I want- I want to go home.” You choke out, through the pain getting worse and worse by the second. “We’re going home baby, we’re going home.”
Your eyes unfocus from the world around you.
You can hear cries from over you but you no longer have the energy to inspect it.
꧁꧂
Your eyes open to Tsireya and Ronal kneeling over you. You groan at the light beaming painfully into your eyes. “She is awake, everyone she is awake!” Tsireya calls out and in an instant your family rushes in.
Your mother walks up to you falling to her knees at the sight of your hurting figure. “Thank you great mother, thank you.” Hot tears fall from her face onto your chest as she litters kisses on your forehead.
Looking to your other side you see your dad staring at you with puffy eyes and tear stained cheeks. “Dad it’s ok, i’m ok now.” You reassure. Your voice is hoarse and dry, from the lack of talking you’ve been doing.
“I’m just happy so you’re safe baby.” Your dad says sending you a close lipped smile. Using all the strength in your body you extend your arms out to your family, inviting them into all into a hug.
Your parents place their foreheads on yours, your brothers hold each of your hands, and your sisters rest their heads on each of your legs.
Melting into your family’s embrace, burning this moment into your memory.
Sully’s stick together.

sully!family! x fem!daughter/sister!navi!reader
summary : Y/N and her family were forced to leave their home, and tensions rise as they continue their lives in a new place.
——————————————————————————
“Give it back!” Y/N shouted, annoyed at her twin brother, Neteyam, for stealing her rider’s mask. “You are like a child.”
He dangled it above her head, “That is what we are, sister.” Y/N finally snatched it from him and immediately called for her Ikran, Belli’a. “Dad won’t be happy you’re going out at this time.”
“He doesn’t care about me anyway.” Was Y/N’s end statement before she dove off the home base and into the dark sky. Neteyam watched her until she was a speck in the air then ran to find his other siblings.
“Where is Y/N?” Lo’ak asked as soon as Neteyam found him in their family’s tent. Their parents looked at their eldest son and awaited his response. Neteyam contemplated lying to save his sister, or telling the truth to save himself.
“She flew off.” Neteyam gritted out through his teeth and regretted it. His parents were up and asking questions after Neteyam answered. “She didn’t say where, she just left.”
Jake and Neytiri disregarded him and called for their Ikrans. The two searched the area for their daughter with no luck of finding her. They began the search near the forbidden section, hometree, considering it was still releasing toxic gases from its burnt trunk. Neytiri spotted an Ikran on a canopy and swooped to see if it was Y/N’s. It was. She waved her arm to Jake, and he came down to his mate. They got off their Ikrans and trailed down the tree to the floor. Jake tracked her footprints to a part of the forest where a river was still flowing despite being blocked by big branches of hometree. They located Y/N in the water, but she was simply floating in it, arms and legs spread, face and mind cleared of any thoughts. The bioluminescent rocks under her made her seem as if she was a part of Ewya with her peaceful nature. But Jake and Neytiri didn’t care for that as of this moment.
“Y/N!” Jake stomped into the river and pulled his daughter up by her arm. Her startled eyes met his, and she tensed under his gaze. “What are you doing out here? Flying off?”
She attempted to take back her arm from his grip but to no avail. “I was just enjoying the freedom and peace.”
“That was your last moment of it for a long time because you’re grounded.” Jake fired back at her, and Y/N yanked her arm out of his hand.
“I am double grounded?” Y/N spat at the man in front of her.
“Yes, if that’s what it takes for you to not disobey direct orders.” Jake said with a venomous tone. Neytiri didn’t know whether to step in or let the two settle it, just them.
“This is ridiculous.” Y/N spoke and started walking the path to her Ikran. Jake quickly caught her wrist and turned her back to him.
“Don’t walk away when I am speaking to you. I am your father.” Jake seethed at his defiant daughter.
“You’re acting like an officer. I am not your soldier.” Y/N replied and shook him off once again. “Fathers don’t yell at their children for a small mistake. Fathers don’t make their children scared to talk to them. Fathers don’t want their children to fear them when they walk towards them.”
Jake softened his features and looked to Neytiri then back at Y/N. “Is that how you feel?”
“Obviously, or I wouldn’t have said it.” Y/N snapped and turned away from her parents prying eyes, wanting more information on her feelings.
“Why didn’t you say this before?” Neytiri finally got in the conversation and approached her daughter carefully.
“You didn’t care about my thoughts.” She pointed her sentence at her father. Jake glanced down in guilt and gazed back to the girl. “Also, I like to keep my grievances to myself.”
“That isn’t healthy.” Jake commented, and Neytiri shot him a warning look. “Y/N, I apologize if I have made you feel that way, and I don’t want you to be upset at me.”
“Too late.”
“He is trying.” Neytiri told her daughter, defending his apologies.
“Please, Y/N. We can come to a resolution.” His daughter glared into him, and he swallowed harshly at her cold eyes. “I see you, my daughter.”
“Fine.” Y/N relented with an unwavering stare at her father. “I accept your apology, father.” He inched closer to her, but she stepped back. Jake was hurt by that, but respected his daughters boundaries and just motioned for her to go back to the Ikrans. The three flew back home and were even silent when they entered the tent where the rest of the family was sitting.
Y/N didn’t acknowledge anyone and went straight for her bed in the corner and put her back to everyone. Jake stared at his daughter well in to the night, wondering where he first went wrong with her and how they ended up in this hostile relationship. Neytiri did the same, but comforted Jake more so as he spoke of his thoughts out loud to her after all the children were sleeping.
The next morning was an early one since the raid of the RDA’s supplies was that day. Y/N was up before any of her family and was sharpening her knife as her parents woke up along with Neteyam and Lo’ak. The five quietly collected their battle gear and walked out of the tent to let the two not going sleep. Y/N put on her chest armor and forearm cuffs then called for Belli’a and straddled her. She waited for the family to do the same before heading off to her post. Y/N was a lookout for the raid.
She stood on her Ikran as the train appeared from the distance and neared the Na’vi waiting in the forest. Y/N resumed looking at the sky for any RDA people to come flying in. Her bow was out and arrows were ready to fly if instructed. The train was close enough to where it would be great to set off the explosion so it wouldn’t wreck all the materials inside. Which is exactly what happened. Jake sent the signal and the tracks were blown up with the train railing into the dirt.
Y/N perceived an aircraft heading towards them and shot an arrow at the plane before telling her father of the intrusion of the sky people. Neytiri and her squad were on it immediately as soon as Y/N informed them. Y/N’s job was done, or so she thought before she witnessed her idiotic brothers landing on the battlefield.
“Idiots!” Y/N mumbled to herself then flew down to where they were to scold them. “Father definitely told you two to stay in the sky.”
Neteyam jumped at his twin sister’s voice erupting from behind him. “I only came down here because this moron came first.” He pointed to Lo’ak who was in the line of passing weapons.
Y/N rolled her eyes and pulled Lo’ak and Neteyam by their ears to their Ikrans with them complaining like children about how it hurt. “Go! Now! Before Dad sees.”
Jake saw his three children on the field and was on his way to them but a missile was dropped next to them and only Y/N was hit. Lo’ak and Neteyam had climbed their Ikrans already and were in the air before the bomb fell. Neteyam roared in horror for his sister as she got lost in the debris. Jake hurried to pull metal and dirt away from where he thinks she tumbled.
“Y/N!” Jake yelled. A cough was heard over a train door, and Jake ran to find his daughter on her back, holding her arm. He kneeled down to her and stroked the hair from her face. “Hey, hey, I am gonna get you up.” Jake hauled Y/N onto her feet to which she groaned at the soreness. He had an arm around her waist while Y/N’s head leaned against his bicep. “Stay awake, ok?”
“Dad!” Jake heard from above, and Neteyam was there hovering. “I can take her!”
Y/N was silent as Kiri chatted and bandaged her arm. It’s not that she didn’t enjoy what Kiri was saying, she just couldn’t focus when she knew her father was about to rip her a new one for being on battlefield. Her other arm held up her aching head as she hit it on a metal object out there as well.
“Y/N.” Her father barked from outside the tent. Y/N closed her eyes and prayed to Eywa before standing shakily and exiting the healing tent. “What was that out there? Why were you down there?” Neytiri was once again a neutral party to the side.
“My brothers were being idiots, and I was getting them out of the way.” Y/N tiredly explained. Jake clenched his jaw as he observed his injured daughter. Her face was busted from whatever it hit, and her arm now had a gash the length of his hand. “Can you yell at me tomorrow? I think I might pass out, and I don’t want that to be counted as disrespectful.” Neytiri led her daughter to her bed as Jake followed behind.
Neytiri brought Jake out a little away from their tent and said, “You are too hard on them, her.” She kept a space between them as he tried to reach out. “This isn’t a squad, it is a family.”
Jake’s eyes filled with unshed tears as he said, “She is hurt because of those knuckleheads. But she knows better than that.”
Neytiri shook her head and went to tend to Y/N who was calling for her. Jake rested on a rock and watched the Na’vi bustling around, organizing weapons and carrying conversations. He only stopped his lurking when Tuk came over and said he looked sad. He instantly smiled and said not anymore.
The next few days were a whirlwind for Y/N after her siblings were held captive in exchange for their father to traveling to the island, Awa’atlu. Y/N was still weak from her run in with train pieces so as her father pleaded with the leaders of the Metkayina clan, she rested her head on Neteyam, and he let her. Their Tsahik surrounded the Sully’s space and accused Lo’ak and Kiri of not being real Na’vi.
“Look, look. I was born of the sky people, and now I am Na’vi. All right?” Ronal narrowed her eyes. “You can adapt. We will adapt. Okay?” Jake declared and kept his children out of Ronal’s sight.
“My husband was Toruk Makto.” Neytiri established and inched toward Tonowari. “He led the clans to victory against the sky people.”
“This you call victory?” Ronal snarked. “Hiding among strangers? It seems Ewya has turned her back on you, Chosen One.” She directed that comment to Jake, and Neytiri growled at her. Ronal returned the gesture.
“I apologize for my mate.” Jake stepped between the women before a fight broke out.
Neytiri snapped, “Do not apologize for me.”
Jake gave her a pleading look as he said, “She’s flown a long way, and she’s exhausted.”
“Jake!” Neytiri hissed.
“Toruk Makto is a great war leader. All Na’vi people know this story. But we, Metkayina, are not at war. We cannot let you bring your war here.” Tonowari expressed to Jake.
Jake clicked his tongue before saying, “I am done with war. Ok? Just wanna keep my family safe.” Y/N shut her eyes completely, pure exhaustion taking over, and Neteyam held her up delicately. Neytiri glanced back at her hurt daughter and back to the Clan leaders.
Ronal followed to where Neytiri looked and her eyes eased a little. Her and Tonowari had a nonverbal conversation with their facial expressions and came to a conclusion.
“Toruk Makto and his family will stay with us. Treat them as our brothers and sisters for they do not know the sea. So they will be like babies taking their first breath. Teach them our ways so they do not suffer the shame of being useless.” Jake was relieved to hear of Tonowari’s decision and prodded his children to thank the man. “My son, Aonung, and daughter, Tsireya, will show your children what to do.” A boy popped out protesting, but Tonowari put his hand up to silence him. “It is decided.”
“Come, I will show you our village.” Tsireya joyfully led them through the nets and docks of the island. Neteyam eventually just had Y/N on his back since she was too tired to even walk. The family was taken down a woven path to a marui where they would live. She left after everyone was inside the hut.
“Okay, Sully’s fall in!” Jake said and gathered his children and wife in a circle. “Come on, take it in, let’s go.” Y/N was shaken awake by Neytiri, and Y/N laid on her mother as her father spoke, “I need you kids on your best behavior. I mean it. Learn fast, pull your weight. Don’t cause trouble. Got it?” Lo’ak was specifically targeted by that one so he nodded.
“I want to go home.” Tuk cried.
“Tuk, this is our home now.” Jake patted her back. “We’re gonna get through this. Only if we have each other’s backs.”
“What does your father always say?” Neytiri chimed.
“Sully’s stick together.” Their children blankly answered.
“Yes, that’s right. Now with a little more feeling.” Jake says and his children do it once more before he dismisses them. Y/N stayed in the marui because she was too sore/tired to get up more than she was. “Neytiri, I am going to learn as well. I will see you when I get back.” Jake placed a kiss on his mate’s forehead then left the hut to find Tonowari.
“Are you alright, my daughter?” Neytiri crawled to Y/N who laid on the floor in a ball. Neytiri put her hand upon Y/N’s head and soothed the knots in Y/N’s flowing hair.
“I’m fine. No need to worry.” Y/N whispered and held her eyes shut. Y/N’s headache was back and stronger than before, but she didn’t want her mother worrying and her father complaining. But Neytiri was smart enough to know her daughter’s signs.
Neytiri grabbed a cold leaf and put it to her daughter’s head, and Neytiri could see the relief it brought to Y/N’s body. The mother and daughter ended up snuggling and falling asleep on a blanket with Y/N’s head on Neytiri’s chest.
Jake returned to the marui, ready to tell his wife of the skimwing he managed to dive and fly with, but once he saw her and his eldest daughter cuddled, he couldn’t bare to wake them up and disturb their peace. So, he busied himself with making food for his family for dinner.
“You were so embarrassed!” Neteyam laughed out as he walked into the hut with Lo’ak and Tuk. Lo’ak shoved his brother into the wall and begrudgingly sat down next to his father who was raising his brows at the two’s conversation. Tuk giggled as well and scaled onto her father’s back.
“Where is Kiri?” Jake asked Neteyam, and hugged Tuk once he rearranged her to be on his lap. Lo’ak side glanced his brother as Neteyam thought of an appropriate response.
“Getting lessons from Aonung and Tsireya.”
“At eclipse?”
“Yes.” Neteyam shortly answered. Neytiri woke up after all the banging of wooden plates and bowls by Tuk who apologized as soon as she saw her mother and sister opening their eyes.
“What have you made, Ma Jake?” Neytiri got up and scooped Tuk into her arms. Y/N just rolled over and tried to fall asleep again. “Y/N, to the circle.” Y/N huffed and legged to plop next to Neteyam who gave her a soft smile.
“Just a stew from the fish I caught.” He replied and poured it evenly into the bowls. Kiri barged into the marui with an angry face and everyone knew not to interact and let her eat peacefully.
——-
Y/N, the next day, settled on the pale sand of the shore and kept a lazy eye on Kiri who was in the shallow water, searching for tiny creatures.
“What is she doing?” Y/N distantly heard and perked up to see Aonung, Roxto, and two other clan members standing on the shore, pointing at Kiri. “She is just looking at the sand.”
“Hey! Fish Brains! Leave her alone!” Y/N retorted to the annoying boys. Kiri got out of the water and gazed at her sister and the Metkayina, confused.
“What did you say?” Kiri innocently questioned.
“Are you some kind of freak?” Aonung snickered, and Y/N finally got off her back and pushed the clan leader’s son away. “Woah!”
“I said leave her alone! Now, back off!” Y/N reprimanded the boys and put Kiri behind her. They kept pulling and tugging on the girls that Y/N had enough and punched Aonung in the face. All commotion stopped and the four boys stared at her. “What? Never been punched?” Aonung kicked her to the ground and fired a punch into her nose. The other boys started dragging her limbs as Lo’ak and Neteyam appeared.
“Hey! Leave her alone!” Neteyam whacked Aonung off Y/N, and Lo’ak began fighting Roxto and the other two. Y/N was more bloodied and internally screamed once she realized her father was going to rip her to shreds once he saw her. The fight trickled out after awhile, and Kiri left long ago, not caring for such stupid activities. The three Sully siblings left looked to each other and accepted their fate as they made their way to the family marui.
“What were you thinking?” Jake yelled at his kids, and Y/N rolled her eyes. “What is the one thing I asked you to do?”
“Stay out of trouble. Listen, it was my fault.” Neteyam tried to ease the tension and take the blame.
“Neteyam, do not be daft. I threw the first punch.” Y/N defended her brothers, and Jake’s conflicted eyes met her unattached ones. “Triple ground me.”
Lo’ak jumped in, “I’ll go apologize.” He left and so did Neteyam, leaving Jake and Y/N to settle their staring contest.
“Why’d you do it?” Jake sighed.
“They were picking on Kiri and I.” She replied and held a hand to her face to stop the tears from falling. “I couldn’t just let them bully her.”
“Look, I know that, Y/N, but that was Tonowari’s son. He is higher up here. His father didn’t like to see his son beat up by the guest’s kids.” Jake reasoned with his daughter. A rogue tear escaped Y/N’s eye. “Oh, babygirl.” Jake embraced Y/N, and she finally didn’t resist him. “Is there more to this story?”
“I, just, I want to go home.” She meekly murmured into her dad’s shoulder. “I don’t belong here.” Jake clutched his daughter until she released him. “I have to apologize, too.”
——
Her and Aonung made up, but it fell apart just as quickly as she found out through Neteyam that Aonung took Lo’ak outside the reef and left him there. Now, there was a search party out for her younger brother, and she wasn’t even allowed to assist in the rescue by her father’s orders.
“I have the boy!” A warrior called as he swam on his Ilu up to the shore with Lo’ak behind him.
“Lo’ak!” Y/N shouted and ran to him and checked him for wounds, she found minimal damage, so she hugged him. He gratefully enveloped her. Neytiri and Jake appeared next to them and so did the clan leaders with Aonung and Tsireya at their sides.
“Is he hurt?” Tonowari worriedly asked the Na’vi girl.
“No, no he isn’t. No harm.” Jake spoke instead of Y/N, and she narrowed her eyes at her father. “Thank you for finding him.”
“My son has to own up to his mistakes.” Tonowari stopped Jake from taking his family away. “Aonung?”
“No, sir. It was my fault. I suggested for us to go beyond the reef. Aonung just wanted to please me.” Lo’ak said, stepping out of Y/N’s arms. Y/N sneered as she realized she was saving Aonung’s ass from being punished.
Tonowari and Ronal glared down at their son, “Is this true?” Ronal grunted.
“I’ll deal with this.” Jake pushed Lo’ak along, and Y/N trailed, not wanting Lo’ak to be alone. “Cause anymore trouble, and I’ll tie your tail into a knot, you read me?”
“Yes, sir. Lima, Charlie. Can I go now?” He didn’t really wait for a response and left his older siblings and his parents to watch as he departed.
“Where were you?” Neytiri scolded Neteyam, and Y/N stayed near him in comfort.
“Yeah, what happened to keeping an eye on your brother?” Jake continued, and Y/N could see the disappointment in her father’s face. She knew it all too well. Neteyam knew there was no escape, so he only nodded.
“It isn’t Neteyam’s responsibility to always be at Lo’ak’s side.” Y/N snarled, and her father snapped his head to her. “And he wasn’t there because he was helping Tuk with her Ilu.” Neteyam and Neytiri inhaled sharply from her defiant words.
Jake breathed through his nose, staring at the girl with an unknown look. He was trying to understand her. And it frustrated him when he couldn’t immediately because this was his little girl, and he was meant to know what she was thinking and what she wanted from him.
“I hear what you’re saying.” He quietly told her. She waited for the “but,” but it never came. “Lo’ak could’ve been hurt out there.”
“That doesn’t mean it is Neteyam’s fault, or job to be his nanny. If anything, it is Aonung’s blame.”
Jake clenched his hands and faltered, “Y/N, I understand. I do not want you angry with me.”
Neytiri dragged her eldest son away as Y/N and her Jake had a stare down. Neither were backing down, and Jake cursed internally at her stubbornness that definitely came from his genes. The only indication of breathing from either was the steady movement of their tails swishing in time with their chests.
“You make being your child difficult.” Y/N snapped. Jake clicked his tongue and looked up at the dark, twinkling sky. “Do you see that?”
“Yes.” Jake was increasingly preparing to give up on his daughter. Y/N shook her head after he didn’t elaborate or say anything else, so she began walking somewhere where he wouldn’t be. “Wait.” He caught up with her. “I need to guarantee safety for all my kids, and at times that means I have to be harsh.”
“That doesn’t justify you treating Neteyam, Lo’ak, and I like soldiers.” She retorted, but her cruel stare became softened as her father eyes glazed over. Jake suddenly sat on the sand and patted next to him for her to do the same. His daughter hesitated but did so.
“I had a twin.” Jake informed her and didn’t look at her. “Back on Earth. He was supposed to be the one to come here and explore.” Y/N could see where this was going and played with the sand. “He died before he could be sent here. I took his place because I had nothing else back on Earth.”
Jake finally stared at her. “I met your mother, she taught me the way of her, my, people, and then I was part of the Omatikaya clan. The sky people destroyed HomeTree, I tried to stop them. Your grandfather died, and your mother was heartbroken. She didn’t like for awhile.” He wistfully smiled as he thought back to those days. “But she accepted me again. And we defeated the sky people. And then I found out she was pregnant with Neteyam.” Y/N swallowed hard. “I didn’t know she would birth two babies that day, but when I saw you come into the light. I knew I would do anything to keep you safe.” Jake and Y/N met eyes. “I can’t let anything happen to you, or your siblings because I don’t know what I’ll do.”
“I see you.” Is all Y/N said.
——
Ronal cried out the next day at the sight of her Tulkun floating dead in the ocean beside her calf. Once Jake saw who did this, he had to instruct Tonowari to tell the Tulkun to leave, so they wouldn’t be hunted, including his family not being hunted. Lo’ak had a thinking face, and that frightened Y/N. Soon, Lo’ak left the discussion area and ran to get his Ilu to find his Spirit Brother, Payakan, with Neteyam and Y/N hot on his trail.
“I have to tell Payakan. He is outcast.” Lo’ak unhooked the armor for his Ilu.
“Lo’ak!” Neteyam boomed. “I have to keep your skxawng ass here.” He snickered slightly as he said that.
“He is my brother, I have to tell him.” Neteyam had an angry expression as he got up in Lo’ak’s face.
“No, I am your brother.” Neteyam growled, and Y/N already knew Lo’ak’s plan as he pushed Neteyam away and jumped on his Ilu. Y/N immediately jumped into the water, and her Ilu got her and she told it to follow Lo’ak’s Ilu. She could hear others also coming, but Y/N focused on keeping Lo’ak out of danger.
The two arrived to Payakan around the same time. Lo’ak took notice of the tracker on Payakan that was the same at the one that was on Ronal’s Tulkun. “Help me!” Lo’ak yelled to his sister, and he started pulling at the tracker. She did too, and the others approached and grabbed at it.
“Call dad! Just go! Tell him where we are!” Neteyam struggled to say to Lo’ak through his tries of pulling the tracker off of Payakan. Y/N got onto her Ilu and put the rope from her Ilu’s harness onto the tracker.
“Go!” She commanded her Ilu, and it began trudging in the water, trying to move with the force of the tracker. Aonung and Neteyam set it loose, and Y/N was off into the sea, attempting to find a place to drop the device. She sensed something following her and found a crab-like vessel chasing her. She swerved the Ilu and dropped the tracker in the sand.
She narrowly avoided the vessel and found a place to lay low until her brother searched for her. But that idea fell through after she witnessed Tsireya, Tuk, and Lo’ak getting caught in the net.
She hurriedly tried to stop it from going out of the water, but she was too slow. Y/N looked to her left to find Kiri capturing another vessel in tendrils on some sort on a plant, ultimately saving herself, Roxto, and Aonung. Neteyam swam beside her as she thought of a way to discreetly get on the ship. Neteyam and Y/N communicated with opposing looks and made their move when Payakan shot up onto the ship. The twins jumped out of the water and scaled the ship to where their siblings and Tsireya were tied.
“Lo’ak needs saving from his big sister?” Y/N teased and cut his cuffs. He rolled his eyes as he smiled at her. “Tsireya, take Tuk.” The Metal girl nodded and led Tuk to the ocean with her.
“We need to get Spider!” Lo’ak pleaded with his older siblings who shared a weary glance. “Please, we can’t leave him!” Y/N stomped her foot in disagreement, but Neteyam knew what that meant and nodded to Lo’ak. So, the three scoured the ship for Spider and climbed the pipes above. They found him being escorted by sky people, and Neteyam knocked one out as Y/N dealt with the other one, kneeing his face and causing him to pass out. Lo’ak whooped with Spider as Neteyam pushed them along. Y/N snatched the gun from the ground and shot at the Avatars aiming their guns at them. She hit every single one in the heart.
“Go! In the water! Now!” Y/N shoved Spider, and he told the other two, and they listened. Y/N took a deep breath as more people shot at her area, and she was out of ammo with no bow either. She regained her mental strength and sprinted to the water. The Avatars took their chance and ruthlessly fired at the Na’vi girl. She felt it before she could locate it.
“Y/N! We did it!” Lo’ak happily exclaimed and fist bumped Spider. Y/N spat water from her mouth and held her side. Neteyam zeroed in on her and caught the way she was choking on something that wasn’t water.
“Y/N, what’s wrong?” Neteyam swam to her, and looked under to find the source of bleeding. “Lo’ak! She is bleeding!” Lo’ak swam over to them, and Tsireya got off her Ilu, so Neteyam could put Y/N on it ride to the rocks nearby. “Hold her up, Lo’ak!”
As they got to to rocks where their father waited, he opened his mouth in terror as his daughter was actively bleeding out. “Gently! Watch her head!” He bellowed to his sons as they set her on the rocky ground. “Y/N, babygirl, hey, hey, I need you to hang on. Neteyam, apply pressure on the wound!” He flipped her fragilely and saw there was an exit wound. “No! No! Ok, Y/N.”
“What is it?” Jake couldn’t answer his eldest son as he held his daughter’s pale blue face in his hands.
“I wanna go home.” Y/N sputtered to her dad. “Dad, I wanna go.” Y/N could see the hope draining from her father’s eyes as he nodded.
“We’re going home. I’ll take you home.” Jake reassured her. Neytiri arrived and screamed in out loud at the state of her child.
“No! Y/N! My sweet daughter! Eywa! Please, please! My baby!” Neytiri cradled her daughters’s head and arms. “No!”
“Mom, I,-“ The light in Y/N’s eyes vanished and her breathing ceased. Neytiri shrieked and cuddled her dead daughter closer, hoping her love and desperation would bring her back. Jake looked to the sky with tears falling, he couldn’t hear his own thoughts as his mate and Neteyam wailed and knelt over Y/N’s body.
“Where are your sisters?” Jake asked Lo’ak numbly. Lo’ak provided the answer and Jake gathered Neytiri and Spider before retrieving his daughters.
——
Jake, Neytiri, and Neteyam lowered Y/N into the bright, yellow tendrils in the sea and watched as Y/N was swallowed by them and laid to rest with the ocean floor. After her funeral, the three traveled to the Cove of the Ancestors to see Y/N.
Jake was transported to a memory of young Y/N shooting her first thanator without Jake’s help.
“Look, Dad, I did it!” She excitedly squealed, and Jake softly grinned at his little girl and a tear fell from his eye. “Why are you crying? Is it not dead?” His daughter turned around frantically, but Jake only laughed and spun her back to him.
He caressed her face as she was now the older version of herself, “I am just happy to see you.”
She have him an odd look, then older Neteyam appeared behind him, tearing up as well, “You two are acting strange, but I am happy to see you, too.” Neytiri was in the shadows watching with a faraway smile as her daughter was reunited with Jake and Neteyam. “Well, I have to go prepare the thanator, and get you carry it, loser.” The little Y/N was back and was saying that to Jake. He only laughed in the memory with Neteyam chuckling behind him, holding his hand to the bracelet she carved and made him that same day from the thanator teeth.

She cannot say for certain when things have gone wrong. It was supposed to go smoothly, without any trouble like she had promised her father when she told him she’d keep an eye on her siblings. And she did. Until she didn’t.
“Lo’ak,” she says, sternly. “We are not supposed to be here. Especially when Tuk is with us.”
Lo’ak turns to his older sister, glaring. When he sees her staring back and not faltering, he sighs and raises his hands in defeat.
“She was going to tell mom if I didn’t bring her with us.”
Lo’ak defends himself, to which Tuk replies by sticking her tongue out at him. Y/N rolls her eyes and shakes her head at her siblings’ antics, and she nudges her head forward, indulging her brother into leading the way. She holds her bow and an arrow in one hand, and her ears twitch with even the littlest of noises in the forest. She knows there might be Sky People camps here, and she remembers her father’s words to keep her siblings safe. She was the older sister, barely a few minutes older than Neteyam, and she understood the responsibility she had over her younger siblings. And she does not want to disappoint her parents, nor does she want to lose their trust in her.
“Bro!” Y/N hears Spider say, and she shakes her head. “That’s where your dad and my dad fought.”
Y/N frowns, and she silently walk closer to peer through the large leaves in front of her. There is an old trailer there, grey and rusty with a window busted, covered with vines and moss from being left untouched or operated for so long. There is a large machine laying on the ground, where she can see two of her mother’s arrows, and Y/N knows that this is where her father’s old enemy, the Colonel Quarrich, died during the war against the Sky People.
What she does not expect, however, is to hear voices. Several of them, both feminine and masculine. Tuk shifts in front of her, and Y/N rests a gentle hand on her little sister’s shoulder to keep her calm. She squints her eyes, and she sees them. A group of uniltìranyu:, avatars controlled by Sky People. She takes a step back and brings Tuktirey with her when she notices their weapons. She then glances at Lo’ak, who seems to be a step ahead of her, as he talks to someone whom she can only guess to be her father. She looks over her shoulder when someone taps behind her back, and she smiles at Kiri when she offers her an earpiece to listen to their father’s words.
“I’ve got eyes on some guys.” Lo’ak explains. “They look like avatars but they’re in full camo and carrying AR’s. There are six of them. Over.”
“What’s your position?” Jake answers through the earpiece. “Over.”
“We are at the old shack.”
           “Who’s ‘we’?”
“Me, Spider, Kiri, Y/N.” Lo’ak pauses and glances at Tuktirey. “And Tuk.”
There is a brief pause, and Y/N can clearly picture her father’s face upon hearing that Tuk is with them at the old shack. She imagines her mother is with him, and she does not want to think about what she might think of the whole situation. And if she knows her twin, she knows Neteyam is with them, and he can hear the whole conversation too. She sighs and closes her eyes, before she hears her father’s voice once more through the earpiece.
“Son, you listen to me very carefully.” Jake says. “Pull back right now. Do not make a sound. Get the hell out of there. Move, copy?”
           “Yes sir, moving out.”
Lo’ak answers, and begins to walk backward. Y/N follows and pulls Tuk with her when she knows Kiri and Spider are following behind. She can picture the looks her parents must have been given each other upon hearing their children’s location, brows furrowed and lips into a thin line. She wonders if they’ll get angry at her, for not stopping Lo’ak from executing his stupid ideas, and she knows that if they do get angry, she’ll take the blame for her brother’s actions. Because that is what she and Neteyam always did, take the blame for Lo’ak’s recklessness.
“You’re going to be in so much trouble.”
Kiri whispers as the little group walks through the forest, walking over a lump of tree laying in their way. Y/N turns and glares at her sister, shaking her head.
           “Kiri, stop.” She says, sternly.
           “It’s almost eclipse, come on.”
Tuk says to her siblings, and Y/N barely has time to say anything before Tuk screams when someone jumps from behind some large bushes and grabs her little sister. She curses and hisses, preparing to aim her arrow at the avatar holding her sister, and she sees Spider doing the same when another avatar in full camp grabbed Kiri by her hair. Though, she doesn’t have the time to shoot her arrow, as she is yanked back by someone grabbing onto her queue, sending a sharp pain through her skull. Her bow and arrow fall from her grip, and she curses again, before looking at her siblings.
“Y/N!” Tuk calls out for her. “Y/N!”
“Mawey.” Y/N says, but she does not know if it is more for herself, or for her siblings. “Mawey.”
She wants to reach for her baby sister, but Y/N is held back by an avatar holding onto her arms behind her back as she falls to her knees. She sees Tuk is trying to hold back her tears next to Kiri who struggles to stay put in the avatar’s grip holding her down. Lo’ak grunts and hisses from where he stands in front of her, held back by a third avatar, and Spider is the only one who remains on his feet, held back by a fourth avatar holding onto his upper arms.
           “What have we here?”
Y/N glances up, and she sees him, the leader of this avatar party. He holds his weapon as if ready to load it up and fire, but she knows he won’t shoot. She can see in his eyes that he already has an idea of who they are, and she waits expectantly. His eyes lands on the five of them, and he throws his weapon behind his back. He turns when someone calls for him, and Y/N’s eyes follow his movements until they land on Kiri. The avatar holding her has her hand in his, showing her fingers to his leader. Y/N hisses, baring her fangs as the soldier approaches her sister. She struggles to get free, but another tug at her queue stops her from moving further, the pain running sharp through her skull.
“Look, Colonel.” The avatar holding Kiri speaks. “Check it out. Four fingers. We have a half-breed.”
Y/N hears Spider mumbles a whispered shit, but her eyes are solely on her sister. She promised her father she would look after them, and she doesn’t care that those avatars are armed with lethal weapons. If they so much as lay a hand on Kiri, or Tuk, she will not hesitate to draw blood. Sully’s stick together, as her father always says, and she intends to keep it that way.
The Colonel looks at Kiri, before he turns around and points at Lo’ak. Y/N glances his way, and silently she pleads him not to do anything stupid.
“Show me your fingers.” The Colonel says.
Y/N shakes her head slowly, but the avatar holding her tightens his grip on her queue and hair, making her hiss in pain. Tears linger at her waterline from the pain, but she can see Lo’ak glaring at the Colonel whilst flipping him off by showing him both his middle fingers. The Colonel only chuckles at that, and he slightly tilts his head to the side, keeping his eyes on her brother.
“You’re his, aren’t you?” He asks, almost playfully.
Y/N knows then that this avatar knows who they are, and who their father is. She wants to glance over her shoulder, because she knows the old shack is not far, and suddenly it all makes sense. The Colonel is Colonel Quaritch, the one their father fought against during the war with the Sky People. How he came back as an avatar, Y/N has no idea, but she knows one thing. She has to protect her siblings, no matter what. She hears Lo’ak hiss at the Colonel, and she forces her eyes back onto her siblings.
           “You’re his alright.”
The Colonel states, smiling, before his smile falters and he grabs Lo’ak by the hair.
“Get your hands off of him, you bastard!”
Y/N shouts, her words venomous as she spits them out, but the Colonel doesn’t spare her a single glance, amused by how Lo’ak struggles and grunts in his grip.
           “Where is he?”
The Colonel asks Lo’ak, to which he answers in Na’vi. Y/N doesn’t expect the soldier to understand her brother’s words, but when he speaks back in their tongue, she bites back another remark, sending daggers through his skull. She cannot stand to see her siblings struggle, and when Lo’ak lets out a pained hiss, her heart breaks in its cage. She wants to do something, but the grip on her hair and queue is too strong and too painful that even the slightest move sends a jolt through her skull.
“Really? You wanna play it this way?”
Y/N hears the Colonel says, and when she looks up, he has drawn a knife from somewhere, holding it threateningly above her brother. She reaches forward and grunts against the avatar’s grip on her, as Lo’ak is sent tumbling backward by the Colonel. He looms threateningly towards Kiri, who is held on her feet by the avatar gripping her arms. Y/N struggles further to break free, trashing in the avatar’s grip on her. She doesn’t care about the pain anymore; all she cares about is that her siblings remain safe. She doesn’t care if she ends up being hurt in the process. Spider struggles besides her as he yells for the Colonel not to hurt Kiri, and it seems that it is the first time he notices him.
He looks out of place, a human child amongst Na’vi children, with his mask that helps him breathe the Pandoran air of the planet, and his blue stripes painted on his body to resemble those of the Omaticaya people. There is a discussion between them, to which Y/N pays no mind. She is solely focused on the well-being of her siblings. Her eyes fall on each of them, and when they land on Kiri, the younger girl can see the determination in her sister’s eyes. Kiri mutters softly, pleading her sister not to do anything rash.
“You can’t put babies in cryo, dip shit.”
Y/N hears Spider says, and she spares a glance his way. She wonders what has the Colonel baffled, and then, she remembers. The Colonel, in his human form, is Spider’s father. At the realization, she seethes and hisses, which makes the Colonel turns to her. He tilts his head, and, as he looks at her, he remembers about the determination he sees in her eyes. It’s the same one he remembers from when his human form fought against her father at the old shack. Y/N feels small under his stare, but she does not back down from her fierce posture. Instead, she spits at his feet, and he raises a brow, amused. Her glaring daggers at him doesn’t do anything to him, and instead he scoffs and walks around, saying things that Y/N doesn’t bother to listen to.
           “Y/N!”
She hears Tuk’s voice, and her ears perk up. Before she has time to look for her sister, Y/N is yanked upwards by the avatar holding her, and the party begins to walk further into the forest. She knows they have become baits for their father to come for them. She doesn’t doubt he will, but she hopes she can do something before he has to end up dead or captured by Quaritch.

I’ve Neglected you Far Too Long
Ao’nung x Hybrid Fem! Reader
No mentions of Y/n though but its implied. Obviously they’re adults- I quite literally mention Ao’nung has tattoo’s. And obviously theres some smut.
Kind of like an arranged marriage scenario. Any words in English are stricken through. If they’re in italics its just emphasis on that word. Starts off with a bit of background, smut is near the end lol, but its a lot of it.
Word count: 9.2K because I got carried away.
I would say it started with my birth. I was granted the luck of being born Kiri’s twin, with a few minor setbacks, although to Neytiri they were enough to refuse taking me in as her own. I was born with the size and appearance of a human- but I was a halfbreed. My features were human but I was the one born with fangs and I had a kuru as well but it was relative to my size, it was still encased in a big braid and reached past my butt, almost mid thigh, yet still had the natives squinting to see it.
If it wasn’t for Jake pointing out that I had a queue and didn’t need an exomask to breathe, one of the Metkayina warriors would have thrown their spear, killing me. I was captured alongside Spider, when they put me in the machine they’d put Spider in, it awakened some telekinetic abilities I didn’t know I had.
But they’re tied to my emotions and I could only ever really use them if I felt strongly about something. Which is why I was able to help kill most of the humans that had hunted the tulkun, I had enough of their interrogations and abuse.
After losing Neteyam, Ronal and Tonowari welcomed the Sully’s into the Metkayina, and were willing to accommodate for Spider only if I were to marry their son. Their reason being that my telekinetic abilities - which seemed to surpass Kiri’s in their eyes- could protect their clan and son if anything like that happened again.
Ronal disliked that I was half human, she didn’t really want me to marry her son with my outward appearance- like one of the tawtute- sky people- but if I could be used to protect her dear son, thats all that mattered to her, keeping her lineage going.
“We could unite the reef clans and forest people.”
Were Neytiri’s words after Ronal had brought up her reasoning. Tonowari had stayed silent with his hands on his knee’s. It was Ronal’s idea for them to kneel so I wouldn’t feel intimidated by their height, but I’m shorter than most humans, so they were still a good head taller than me, maybe two.
“Of course this is your choice, kid.” Jake stated carefully, his hand movements mimicking that of a calm ultimatum, and this was anything but.
I nodded once, then walked out of the tent and sat by the beach. I couldn’t think of anyone other than Spider. If he were to go back to the Omaticaya, he’s be lonely. His entire life revolved around the Sully’s and I couldn’t risk him being kicked out, and I refused to spend any more time away from my sister.
I’d gotten an earful from Neytiri that day about being disrespectful to the clan leaders for leaving the way I did. I had no idea how to respond and she despised me- had I looked like Kiri I’m sure the story would be different, but I’m not like her, my genetics decided to mute the blue and because of that, I’d forever be treated as a human by Neytiri- even if I could breathe the same air as her, even if I can make tsaheylu.
And it has lead me to being bathed in scents that Ao’nung found pleasing. Neytiri and Jake were allowed to voice their opinion on the matter and Jake had mentioned that this smelled of raspberries back on earth.
As tradition, the mother of the groom and any female sibling, or honorary females washed the bride in the scents and got her ready for her soon-to-be husband. And all of the males near and dear to my heart would do the same to the groom. In this case I had told them not to do anything to change his appearance and to leave him as is. Even if he’d made up with Lo’ak, I could never forget the face he made after finding out he was betrothed to me. The shock in his face said it all, he didn’t want me, and I didn’t want him either but at least I was cordial about it.
I had no idea how big of a celebration this would be. Everyone from the clan walked up and wished blessings upon us, a fruitful- and fertile- marriage. I’m glad I stuck around with Spider and learned Na’Vi while we were kids as a lot of the well wishes were very long and I’d kick myself in the face if I had to childishly reply with broken Na’Vi.
Nothing happened that night.
Don’t get me wrong I’m excited and happy we didn’t do what I was told married couples do by Neytiri. She went into greater detail than Norm did about mating as a Na’Vi and how the tsaheylu was a crucial part of becoming connected to ones mate. Most nights I was ignored and we’d go to sleep on separate mats. I’d need to start Tsahik training but I’d need to learn the things Tsireya had learned when she was younger and work my way up in rank. Because of this, Lo’ak was in the lead of becoming Olo’eyktan considering he’s earned their trust and Tsireya knew more about healing.
_________
“The tattoo’s have different meanings and what one curve could mean for someone, it could be translated differently in another clan members markings.” Tsireya mentions while showing me two nearly identical tattoo’s.
“These are almost identical.” I stated blankly and giggled, placing her hand over her mouth to hide her laughter.
“Yes but you noticed the difference between the two, you said almost. Explain what you see.” She asks.
“This one has what appears to be a smoother execution. This one seems bold, like you used a darker ink? It has jagged edges too.”
“The first one was for a warrior who had just had his inknimaya. Everything went well for him and the skimwing he had bonded with. For the second, not so much, he experienced much pain and eventually managed to execute it perfectly.”
“The second tattoo is slightly bigger, could this indicate multiple tries to his inknimaya?”
“You are a quick learner.” Tsireya smiles at me and I smile back. It wasn’t hard to be genuine around her and she made it hard to hate her. She’s seen me naked more times than my own husband, and she’d only seen me before I got married to him.
By the end of the lesson she struggles to get on her feet from kneeling in front of me and I feel terrible.
“You don’t always have to kneel for us to be the same height, Tsireya. If you wanted to stand I wouldn’t mind.” This isn’t the first time I tell her.
“I need to be flexible.” She states happily.
“For who, Lo’ak?” I ask and start laughing at her embarrassed face.
“I’m sorry, Rey, but these jokes just come naturally to me, I can’t stop them when my tongue is faster than my mind.” I giggle as she huffs and turns her head.
“I’ll make the same jokes when you are with child.”
“No you won’t.” Partly because I’ve yet to consummate my marriage. “I don’t even know if we could have kids considering I’m a half-breed that looks human.” I stated aloud.
“Toruk Macto is a half breed.” She states as if it were obvious.
“Yes, but he has the appearance of a native. It’s easier for him to blend in. Lo’ak is also a half breed and he too can hide with the rest of the Na’Vi. I’m-“ I stop myself before saying anything too harsh, or she’d scold me. “-different.”
“The kind of different my brother needs in his life. Keep trying for children and I will pray that the great mother blesses you!” She says over enthused.
“Sure.” I stated simply, smiling at her. We said our goodbyes and I headed off toward his marui pod.
_________
“Where have you been?”
“With your sister. Learning.” I stated, I’ve grown to know Ao’nung likes short answers and to never bother him when he was entranced with something- whether it was learning a new trick on a skimwing or sparring. I placed my medical bag down- Kiri made this one for me as a present and I never went anywhere without it.
I can feel his eyes on me while I search in a big box for some herbs to refill my bag. The bag hangs over my chest and does a good job of hiding my stomach- not that its big, I hide it from the sun since I’m often exposed. I’d learned to wear traditional clothes and the loincloths were made in children's size due to my stature. The top was something Kiri had to teach me to make- it resembles a human sports bra but matching my loincloth.
My loincloth was traditional in every sense except it didn’t have a hole for a tail, but it still adjusted and tied off on the side, just like everyone else's.
“Are you hurt?” I ask him once I refill my bag and look up to face him. I’d known of his tattoo’d arms but the one on his face was new. It made his eyes pop and he looked handsome- but that didn’t matter.
“What?” He asks as of he hadn’t heard me before.
“Are you hurt. Do you need something from me?” I asked him and he understands what I mean.
“No.” He answers and turns his face toward the side to look at the floor of his- our, because it technically is ours- marui.
“Then I will head out and assist.” I answered not really caring to give him a chance to respond- let alone process- what I said. But he was faster than I was and his hand reached around my bicep and that stopped me.
He was never one to touch me. Not when it came to helping me learn the way of his village, not now, and not even on our wedding night. I press my teeth on my tongue to prevent myself from saying something smart and I turn to face him. I refuse to talk as I’d always found some way to offend him with whatever I said so I waited for him to speak.
“Do you resent me?” He asks simply and this question is a slap to my face. My face only forms in confusion as my eyebrows knit together and my eyes squint slightly.
“I don’t-“ I began but stopped myself from speaking as he lets go of my bicep. I look over at his hand and back at him feeling more confusion than ever.
“I see.” He answers plainly and I furrow my brows some more before raising one and looking at him.
“I didn’t say anything.”
“You don’t have to.” He answers simply and I feel like I’d immediately done something wrong again. “Your face said everything your words could not.”
“But-“
“You should go out and assist my sister. Let her know I held you back if she asks why you are late.” He states before walking past me and heading out the opening of the marui with his spear.
I let out a breath I hadn’t realized I was holding once the curtain fell shut again. Of course I resented him, he was rude, underestimated me in everything, and never made an effort to get to know me. But I hadn’t said any of that to his face and I was in control of my emotions and knew I didn’t make a face of disgust- but why did he ask the question in the first place?
_________
“Did you talk to her?” Spider asks as soon as Ao’nung joins the hunting party. Due to his inability to bond with the animals he often rode with Lo’ak.
“Yes.” Ao’nung answered.
“Is she coming to the party tonight?” Lo’ak asks after lightly nudging between Spider’s hips to quiet the grown man in front of him, he sure was nosey today.
“I did not ask.” Ao’nung answers and Spider grumbles.
“The whole point was to-“ Spider stops himself when Lo’ak’s Ilu immediately surges forward. And the hunt began.
_________
“Theres a lot of people gathering for something outside. Was there something planned for today? Did I have to do something?” I asked nervously once Ao’nung had come into the marui. He must have showered at some point because he didn’t smell like sea air like he usually does after a hunting trip.
“The celebration of our union.” Is all he says while placing his spear on the wall along with his others.
“But we-“
“It’s what you call an Annie-server.” He states in his best english and given the severity of my nerves I couldn’t find the way he fudged up the words funny at this time.
“It hasn’t been a year yet-“ I stop myself as he walks over to pick the accessories he never touches, taking the ones he has on and replacing them with those.
“Has it?” I ask myself quietly.
“It has.” He answers and stops in front of me. One hand on my shoulder but its immediately removed when I look at it.
“Please put these on.” He hands me a matching pair, the one from our wedding- union as they call it. It’s supposed to show that we are harmonious. I try to tie the bands on my anklet together but my fingers keep fumbling and I let out a frustrated sigh.
“Let me help you.” He sits in front of me and offers his hand to take my leg.
“No-“ He takes my leg after letting out a small hiss of his own and sets it on top of his thigh where he leans over and carefully ties the bands together. His hands on my ankle sends a shiver up my spine.
“It’s only done the first year. They will ask invasive questions. I’m glad my sister convinced you to use the soap. Come.” He stands quickly and heads over to the entrance of the marui.
He holds the flap of the curtain open for me to walk through. I was going to comment on why his hair was undone but was met with a bunch of cheers and a celebratory song. I’m awestruck as the clan starts parting and a walkway is created for me. I follow them and end up near the front.
“We have come to celebrate the night this union was made one year ago.” Ronal smiles big at the clan as she announces her words.
“It is time to take on the tradition of the couples.” Tonowari joins in and the crowd basically goes wild. I stand with a fake smile plastered on my face.
“Ao’nung. Face your bride.” Tonowari speaks once more and he steps up in front of me before kneeling respectfully taking my hand and kissing it, making a majority of the girls awe at his gesture, but I knew better, it was a show. I let go of his hand quickly and awaited further instruction.
“This is our clans best kept secret. You will braid his hair to your liking as a symbol of life's twists and turns bringing you together. And he is to maintain the hairstyle or one similar for the rest of his life as his devotion to you.” Ronal states.
My eyes widened and I’m fucked. I can braid for sure, all thanks to Tuk, Kiri, and Neteyam consistently asking me to braid their hair often, but I didn’t know about this was a requirement. If Lo’ak and Tsireya were to have wedded before myself and Ao’nung I would have expected this. But they married about four weeks after we did. And Ao’nung doesn’t let anyone touch his hair. My eyes wandered over to find his staring back at me and I looked down releasing quiet but heavy exhale.
“But before we start, you are to drink this.” Ronal hands me a cup thats decently sized, still huge in comparison to me but good enough to grab.
“This is made up of many many plants and fruits from our clan and has been prayed over with many blessings poured into it from the beginning of the process.” Ronal informs me.
“This drink is to be shared between the two of you. You will speak many blessings in it yourself- in a hushed voice, take a drink and you will hand it off to your mate to receive the blessings.” Ronal smiles and hands the cup over to me.
I’m nervous as shit and am worried I might say the wrong thing but am glad it doesn’t have to be shared aloud. And I take a look into the cup and see the deep red liquid inside and sigh.
“Treat me like the mate I ought to be treated and my face won’t show resentment again.” I whispered into it and took a big chug- considering there was a lot of liquid in there.
I walk over toward Ao’nung and hand him the cup I’d just drank from and he drinks the rest. The cheers coming from the crowd make my tummy tingle and I start feeling weird. I should probably ask Tsireya what kinds of things were included in there to see if its compatible with my human half.
“You may begin.” Tonowari gently nods his head once at me and I nod.
“Could-“ I stop myself and Ao’nungs eyes are burning in mine and nervously chuckle, averting my eyes once more.
“Could you please turn so I can reach your head, Yawne?” I blush harshly at that and the positive whispers in the crowd are making me feel uncomfortable, but I always had to put on a show for them. Ao’nung nods once and does as I ask and I put myself to work.
His tail wraps loosely on my calf and it feels warm. I’m sure this is all for the sake of appearance but it makes it feel like it’s a smidge hard to breathe. I won’t lie, after a long day of chores, or whatever strenuous activity Ao’nung has done his hair looks the best right before he showers. Pieces of it have come out of the braids and are clinging to his face by his sweat- no, stop it.
I’d worked diligently and managed to create the hairstyle he always wears. Except some of the braids on the sides twist to form X’s.
“You barely changed it.” Ao’nung states after feeling around and turning to face me.
“This is how you look best, to me.” I admit.
“Especially when some of these,“ I gently yank out the loose pieces I’d failed to tuck in properly. “Slip out. Like after you finish working.” I find myself gingerly placing my hand on his cheek, I look down at his lips and my eyes slightly widen at my own actions before I remove my hand slowly, making my movements not show how we truly are with one another, and taking a step back.
Several one of the younger girls had held on to the boys courting them and mentioned how they wanted a love like ours and I fought the urge to roll my eyes. If only they knew what our Love really was.
“The last thing for you to do is to decide which one of these your mate has prepared. This will also test to see how well you notice our signature hunting mark.” Tsireya steps back and reveals three fish total that had been cooked. If he managed to hunt with Lo’ak and Spider I’d be more willing to pick out Spiders pathetic excuse of a hunt since he did things the human way. Then I’d have to compare it to Lo’ak’s which might resemble both clans hunting and preparing skills into one and choose the one that least resembled the two. But if they decided to choose at random from other clansmen, I’m screwed.
It suddenly felt like my body temperature had risen and I could feel the slight stickiness that forms on my skin before I start sweating and I feel slightly uncomfortable. I take a look at the three and can tell which one Spider made and fight the urge to giggle. He has talent, but sometimes massacres his huntings, whether he did this on purpose or not I’m thankful to Eywa.
The next two are hard to tell as they’re on similar plates and dished the same. So I focus in depth on the one in the middle and notice it’s one of Lo’ak’s favorite fish to hunt and I want to look at the boy and thank him, but instead look up to Tsireya and smile.
“The one on the left.” I point to it and she smiles back.
“How do you know?” Tsireya asks.
“The cutting pattern is one he chooses often and he knows this is my favorite fish.” I hold a hand on my chest for sentimental value.
The party continued without a hitch and I started feeling hotter by the second before excusing myself while everyone was either drunk, picking at the food table, dancing, or even singing I managed to slide my feet in the water and felt myself cool down significantly.
“Enjoying your anniversary?” Lo’ak asks me as he comes up behind me.
“Sure. Just glad its you and not any nosey person asking me invasive questions. I had an elder ask me if he’s good in bed. I had to lie to someone about my non-existent sex life.”
Lo’ak lets out a laugh and places his arm around me. For being more human appearing than him he always treated me as an equal. I appreciate him for doing that, even if I wasn’t technically adopted alongside Kiri, he always called me his sister.
“What was in that drink?” I asked him and he shrugs.
“I thought you’d know, but I think Tsireya said something about it containing an aphrodisiac?” Lo’ak states and I laugh.
“Come on bro,”
“I’m deadass.”
“Even if it did, nothings coming out of it. He hates my guts.” I sigh and bring my knees to my chest.
“He can’t possibly hate you.”
“Yes he does! Every morning I wake up he’s not there. Every time before bedtime I set out his mat since he comes home after I’ve passed out- and I know this because I’ll wake up in the middle of the night and see him on the opposite side of the room dead asleep.”
“Okay but what about that time you said he cuddled you.”
“That doesn’t count.”
“Why not?” He asks.
_________
I lied shivering getting up frequently due to the cold air and having to pee. Ao’nung had come in quite late and I’d woken up for the upteenth time tired as hell and unable to warm myself up.
“Why do you keep getting up. Either stay up or stay asleep.” Ao’nung complains and turns around harshly. I didn’t bother responding as I figured sleep was more important than being petty.
But when I’d finally get comfortable and dozed off, I’d wake up with my teeth chattering and my body shaking, trying to keep warm.
“Aren’t you a half-breed? Why are you still making sounds!” He asks angrily.
“Because I’m still half human! I can withstand colder temperatures than humans can but not by much. Trust me when I tell you I’d much rather be held in captivity and tortured than to be here with you. At least they gave me blankets.” I grumble and get up to go pee once more.
I’d decided to take a long time returning but even when I’d figured he was asleep, as soon as I stepped inside he turned to face me, it looked like he might have been pacing- but I couldn’t be too sure. I’m just glad I went pee before coming back in.
“We do not have blankets right now, but we are often very warm. Maybe if I-“ He gulps. “If I held you, you would not be making noises with your teeth.” He explains.
_________
“Did you take him up on his offer?” Lo’ak asks and I push him.
“I had to. And the next day I asked your mom how the hell I could hand knit a blanket and she made a huge one, thinking it was for us to share. But I didn’t have to bother him on cooler nights again.
“But he did care for you, he came up with a solution.”
“A solution so he could get sleep and my teeth would stop chattering.” I roll my eyes.
“Okay but your favorite fish for today, explain that.” Lo’ak crosses his arms.
“I could easily tell Spider’s mutilation from yours.” I roll my eyes. “And He asked me two days ago what my favorite fish was. I know he hates when I take to long to explain myself- probably because he hates the sound of my voice, so I told him in one simple answer.”
“Did he tell you that?” Lo’ak asks.
_________
“I think I like the tulip thorn because of the way it glows at night. But the stem is also pretty with the way it wraps around and creates a mini shelter. Tuk and I used to take some leaves and tie them down to make a fort and-“
“It was a simple question. I don’t need a story attached to every answer you give me.” He stated harshly.
“Oh,” I state and do a little reflection and cringe at the many times I’d gone off on tangents while talking to him. Or the times when he’d straight up turned and walked out and I’d been left talking to myself for Eywa knows how long.
_________
“You could say that.” I answered back shortly as I didn’t want to bore yet another Na’Vi with my stories.
“Thats all you have to say?” He asks.
“I can tell you just about every negative encounter I had with him and they start from the moment I met him and lead up to this morning. I try to stay out of his way as much as possible. Its all he wants anyway.” I shrug.
“What if he didn’t?” He asks and I look at him wondering what joke he had in mind this time. Tears start to fill my eyes and threaten to fall.
“I don’t think I need a joke about my marriage, Lo’ak.” My voice wavers no matter how strong I wanted to sound.
“Hey, Hey, Hey-“ He’s quick to kneel in front of me and places his hands on my shoulders.
“I wish I could have a love story like you and Reya, or even your parents.”
“I wasn’t making a joke, I swear.”
“I can’t blame you. I’ll never know what its like to be loved.” The tears slide down my cheeks with ease. “I’m stuck with a mate who hates my guts and wishes I was a native with three fingers and three toes instead of this shit-“ I hold out my hands and wiggle my fingers.
_________
“I’m married to you for political appearance. Thats it. And the sooner you can accept that I’d much rather be with my own kind than a four-fingered-freak, the better it will be for you.”
“Don’t think I’m in love with you. You’re an asshole, a jerk, and a bully. Never in my life would I willingly choose someone like you.”
“Then don’t ask me about the status of our marriage anymore. You’re the least attractive thing I could ever lay my eyes on. I won’t ever love you, get that through your thick skull. The sooner the better.”
“You don’t even want to attempt a friendship with me?” I asked taken aback by his outburst.
“With you?” He asks and laughs bitterly. “I want nothing to do with you.” He gets in my face and pushes my chest with two of his fingers to make a point. But I’m not sure how strong he thought I was because he pushes me down. I fall flat on my ass and yelp. Something flashes in his eyes real quick.
“I’m so-“
“Don’t. I receive your message loud and clear.” I swat his hand away and I stand, making sure to walk away as fast as I can.
_________
“That can’t be true,” Lo’ak shakes his head after grabbing my hands with his.
“He might be hard headed but he will come to love you the way I love Tsireya, or how sickeningly my dad loves my mom, or how Spider loves Kiri.”
I hear someone clear their throat from behind myself and I pull my hands from Lo’ak’s and quickly wipe my tears off my face.
“I would like to speak to my mate. Alone.” My shoulders stiffen at his voice and my lower lip trembles.
“It’s okay Lo’ak. Go enjoy the party. I’m sure we’ll head back soon.” I stated as emotionless as possible and he looks between Ao’nung and myself before nodding toward me and walking back. I didn’t look back since I knew him and could hear the clap of his hand on Ao’nungs shoulder. I wish Neteyam were here to witness the amazing man and husband Lo’ak turned out to be for Tsireya.
“May I join you?”
“You requested to speak with me alone.” I stand as I say that.
“Please. Speak.” I state as I try rushing this along. I could feel myself getting warmer, although I’m sure its from the anger I was feeling at him at the moment.
“I-“ He starts speaking and stops. He looks down at the floor and kneels down, the most sincere apology in this clan. “I need to apologize for how I have treated you.”
I can’t help but let out a chuckle at the scenario in front of me and shake my head in disappointment. He furrows the skin where his eyebrows would be if he were human and studies my face.
“What is wrong?” He asks and I feel like a mad woman.
“You expect me to believe you mean that?” I ask him and he looks confused. He makes eye contact.
“You don’t care about me or my feelings, Ao’nung. You only care about your appearance. Tell me that isn’t true.”
“I’m sorry for what I’ve done to you and how I have acted.” He states again and I feel the air being knocked out of my lungs as I let an audible quick exhale and couldn’t breathe in as he held eye contact.
“I have been nothing but ignorant to your needs and I want that to end. I want to get to know you. I want to learn about you.”
“I don’t know what kind of fun party juices you’ve been drinking but I’m not entertaining this. I’ll go talk to your mom and explain we haven’t bonded and you’ll be out of this union.” I start heading back toward the party.
“Please don’t,” He asks under his breath but I heard it, and stupidly turned around.
“This is what you wanted. I’m helping you. Shouldn’t you be thanking me?” I scoff. “The girl you want is probably going to be over the moon when she hears you’re single and untouched.” I stated.
“I want you.” He states loudly. Still in his kneeling position.
“What?” I asked him and feel like the world has shifted. The party music had disappeared and it felt like we were the only ones on the beach. He stands and starts walking but picks me up and continues walking.
“I said I want you.” He looks directly in my eyes and holds my stare as he says that, then turns his head back to focus on where he’s going.
“Yeah I heard you the first time.” I uttered and I could feel something snap in my body. The warmth I felt earlier was in my lower belly and I felt the small zing of- no.
“Then why ask?”
“Because theres no way you- woah.” I stated as I looked to see his pupils were huge. Barely any blue coming through. And it took me until now to realize he’d walked us toward our marui pod.
“You smell so good.” He shoves his nose in between my neck and my shoulder and takes a whiff, and I squeak in surprise.
“Yeah its that soap I used when we-“
“Not that smell.”
“Fuck.” I muttered as his voice had gotten deeper for some reason. “What are you doing.” I asked as he had still not let me down.
“I’ve neglected you far too long.” He lays me down and I’m surprised to feel something soft underneath me. I could feel whatever effects of that stupid mystery drink turning me on and I laid there breathing heavily looking at his face.
“May I kiss you?” He asks and I’m too stunned to speak. I look down to his lips but quickly look back up toward his eyes.
“Why are you being nice? Is the juice affecting you too?” I asked and take my hand to feel his forehead since I’d been feeling warm too. He closes his eyes and-
“Are you purring?” I asked as he manages to nuzzle my hand and make it look like I’d been caressing his face.
“May I kiss you, yawne.” He asks again and his eyes are bearing into my soul.
“I don’t- I,” I struggle to even think this through as a flame fans through my body. “Yes.”
And his lips are on mine. He takes one of his hands and places it on my cheek and I instinctively place my hand on his arm. He prods his tongue out to stroke my lip and I squeal and nip at it. He chuckles before continuing to kiss me and peppers my face with kisses as he moves his kisses down my neck.
“Mm-“ I moan as he starts sucking my pulse point and failed to realize my legs wrapped around his waist- chest I suppose.
“Sit up.” I demand and he immediately does so.
“Am I hurting-“
“Shut it.” I stated and sit on his lap. I used my telekinesis to place his hands on my hips and forced his neck down and feverishly kiss him again. He’s fighting himself as I feel him tremble slightly and his grip on my waist only slightly tightens and I’m mildly upset.
“Move my hips on you, do something dammit.”
“I don’t want to hurt you,” He mutters.
“I’ll tell you if you’ve hurt me by screaming in pain, what I need is friction- yes- holy shit-“ I cut myself off and notice just how big his package feels.
“Did I hurt you?” He stops.
“No, you just feel- huge. Oh my Eywa is it going to fit?” I ramble and he moves me back over his lap and I grunt.
“I pray it does.” He grunts before kissing down my neck once more. His hand trails up to untie my top and I pause.
“May I take this off?” He asks so sweetly and I bite my lip and nod. He pulls the fabric tying it together and it becomes loose, I slip out of it and he goes back to kissing me and I’m disappointed in his silence.
He smiles cockily when he comes up for air and I want to punch his face but he says the sweetest thing before I can form a fist.
“I’m the luckiest man on pandora.” He kisses down my chest and takes one nipple into his mouth, twirling his tongue on my nipple.
“Ao’nung,” I moan as he pinches my other nipple.
“I like when you say my name like that.” He speaks directly to me, fully unashamed, and kisses my mouth.
His fingers trail down toward my ass, he cups my cheeks with his massive hands and kneads them, in the process he’s grinding me on his dick.
“Ao’nung-“ I moan again and try to push myself away from him but he takes my mouth into his and places the tip of his tongue in my mouth playfully stroking my own and I’m wet a hell from that action alone- and partly because of that juice.
“Yes, Yawne?”
“Take it off. Now.” I grunt and stand quickly without realizing his hand had already found the string and as I stood, my loincloth was untied and fell off.
“Yeah, luckiest man on Pandora.” He repeats his statement from earlier and I can’t help but roll my eyes.
“Have you ever-“ I stop myself from speaking and suddenly feel very self conscious.
“No.” He states fully and we both seem to be coming out of whatever the juice was doing to us- but only for a slight second.
“Have you?” He asks me and sits up.
“Never.” I admit and look away but feel my face being pulled back towards his in the gentlest way.
“We will learn with each other. We go as far as you want. I don’t want to pressure you to doing something you do not want.” He reassures me and kisses my lips again.
“So what now?” I asked him and he smiles.
“Lie down my sweet syulang.” He gently nudges me down and I follow his instructions. I can feel whatever flames were in my stomach before start to take over the nerves once again.
“Spread your legs.” He instructs and I follow and look up at the ceiling.
“Look at me, Yawne.” And I do. “You smell so sweet.”
“Wait, what are you-“ I ask before he licks a fat stripe on my pussy and I gasp.
He carefully wedges his tongue to spread my lips apart and I moan as he licks upward. He’s gently holding my thighs open but my hands felt empty. As if reading my mind his hands snake up to hold mine, the fists I once had were now warming up with his hands in them.
“Ao’nung rutxe, don’t st-ahh,” I’m the one letting his hands go and reach down toward his head and manage to tangle my fingers in there well enough to control his heads movements.
“You taste sweet, too.”
I now know why he’d held my thighs open earlier as I’m currently trying to suffocate him with them but the pleasure is too good and his tongue keeps circling on my clit and it all feels so good. And I feel something go in me at a gentle pace and the once building orgasm has muted as I feel it moving around.
“Ah-“ I open my eyes and look down to see he’s got one finger inside me and he’s staring me down. His finger stills but doesn’t pull out.
Does it hurt? He signs with his other hand
“N-no, just different, my fingers aren’t as thick as yours so this feels-“ I stop myself from rambling as he places a second finger in gently and I squeeze down hard.
“Ahh-“ I wince and try to withdraw but he stills my hips.
“Breathe, yawne. If I pull out now it could hurt worse, I will pull out if thats what you want but I’ve been told to tell you it gets better.”
“Told by who,”
“Is that really what you’re worried about?” He asks and I shake my head.
“It helps to forget the pain,”
“I can do that.” He immediately uses his thumb to circle my clit again and the pain subsides.
“Will it fit?” I ask again as his other hand is busy playing with my nipples.
“Yes.” He states but before I can ask if he’s sure he moves up to kiss me, and I just remembered how much bigger he was, yet he was being this gentle with me?
“Go faster my love,” I moan and connect out lips and start feeling pleasure from this experience. And he goes faster.
“Yes that spot, hit that again,” I clench my teeth at the overwhelming feeling I’m getting from his fingers and he smiles.
“Whatever you say, my love,” He smiles genuinely and it melts my heart. He leans down to kiss me again.
“Yes go faster, rutxe,”
“You don’t have to say that for me to go faster. You say and I’ll do. Always.” He says while going faster
“Kiss me.” And he kisses me.
“Again-“ He kisses me again.
“Mate with me,”
He unties his loincloth with one hand and slips out of it easily and the sight of his penis has my eyes widening. He tells me he’s going to slide his fingers out and does so but my eyes are on something else entirely.
“Theres blood on my fingers-“ He stares at his fingers in horror.
“Thats normal- for me.” I take his hand and hold it close to my chest. “On Earth, when you have sex for the first time, this happens. The custom- a long time ago- used to be to do this for the first time in your wedding night with the person you love.”
“It is a sign of loyalty?” Ao’nung questions and I nod.
“It’s like tsaheylu.”
“Then let us complete our custom.” He grabs his braid and brings it forward, his white tendrils moving in all directions.
“Are you certain?” I ask him and he smiles, giving me a peck real quick. He grabs my braid for me but before connecting looks me directly in my eyes.
“Are you certain?” He’s asking so sweetly while making sure our braids don’t connect.
“Yes.”
And the feeling itself is euphoric. My pupils are blown wide I’m sure, I could slightly feel them getting larger. I can feel how fast Ao’nung is breathing and can feel the strain of his cock as if the feeling were my own. I could feel how his heart was beating and the same warmth had settled over his own belly.
“Nga yawne lu oer,” Ao’nung states breathlessly.
“I love you, too.” I respond in english
It’s like he understood what I meant as he leans down to kiss me and manages to settle me in missionary. He lifts his head up and looks down between us and back up at me. I nod and feel him start to get nervous.
“It’s okay.” I place a hand on his cheek and gingerly stroke it.
“I don’t want to hurt you,”
“Have I screamed in pain at any point?” I ask and he smiles, kissing me again. He looks down between us and places his cock in his hands and guides it in slowly. I could feel my body clenching in anticipation and I shut my eyes harshly.
“Shit.” I grunt and squeeze harder when I feel the head sliding in slowly. The stretch burned real bad and at this point I stopped breathing.
“Breathe my love,” He gently strokes my clit after stopping just after his head had been pushed in.
“Ma’nung, you’re big.” I groan and throw my head back as the subtle sparks of him rubbing my clit start to fan the flames more.
“You’re so tight I might burst too soon.” He strains and I start to relax.
“Thats a compliment on Earth-“ I try to laugh and he slaps my thigh.
“Ahh!” I whine and he goes back to rubbing my clit and I moan immediately after.
“I’m going to keep pushing-“ He starts and as he does I can feel a sense of fullness but also his length dragging heavily on my g-spot and I moan.
“If you don’t move some more, I will cut your penis off.” I threaten and I can tell he’s confused by the sudden change of pace but I know he can feel what I feel.
“Shit, is that me?” He asks and I open my eyes to see him biting his lip, one of his fangs poking out, I look down myself and see a small bulge moving in my lower belly.
“Yes thats you-“ I moan as he’d started sliding out and his cock continues rubbing against my G-spot, it feels like the many orgasms I brought myself to happening all at once.
“Go faster-“ I whine and he does, snapping his hips at a steady pace and it feels so damn good.
“Faster-“ and he follows my command, not once questioning me.
“You’re swallowing me so easily, you feel so soft rubbing all over, and your stomach is- fuck-“ He cuts himself off and seems unsure of where to stare, at my pussy swallowing his cock or at my stomach as it plays peek-a-boo with him.
“Yawne, I’m too close-“
“I’m coming Ao’nung-“ I whine and feel myself spasm around his cock as I blubber on some stupid Na’Vi mixed with english non-sense.
Not once had he stopped thrusting his hips and the feeling of my orgasm continuously being stroked on had started what felt like the build of another one.
“Cock so good I’m coming twice-“ I groan in English and he starts whining himself. I never knew Na’vi men were vocal, and for some reason, the question can I come? Kept replaying in my head. Realizing I was still connected to Ao’nung I reach my hand up and pat his arm and he opens his eyes, lust evident on his face.
“You can come my love-“
The look of relief washed over his face but I could still feel like he was holding back. More of his thoughts flood my mind.
“Do it.” I confirm and he leans his whole body over mine, hitting spots I thought he was hitting before, quite literally fucking me so dumb I forgot my own name. His thrusts feel even more powerful at this angle and he bites the skin between my neck and my shoulder. His come washes over the both of us as I have my second orgasm and massage the spurts of come from his dick, coaxing more to come out with every wave of pleasure I felt. He lazily kisses me and pulls out, I hiss from the sting of his fat head stretching me open.
“Come here-“ Ao’nung quite literally lifts me to lay on his chest as we both catch our breath.
“I meant it.” He says while lazily stroking my back, but he didn’t have to explain, we were still connected, I already knew.
“I do too.” I sigh and lean into his chest to listen to his heart beat lulling me to sleep.
_________
I wake up and realize my body is being caged in but I felt warm and comfortable so I stayed snuggled up in what I thought was my blanket.
“Good, you’re awake.”
My eyes have never snapped open so quick after hearing that voice. His morning after voice was deep and sensual and it had me tingling. I look up to see that it was still dark.
“It’s not morning yet.” I groan and get comfortable again.
“Yes, my love, but I need some assistance.” He states as if he were straining and I turn my head to see him struggling with another boner.
“Oh my-“ I turn quickly. “- how long have you been dealing with that!” I asked and he whines.
“You’ve spent the entire time grinding me while you slept, I didn’t want to wake you, but we mate up to three times during one session.” He tries saying it in a nice way but I understood what he meant.
“Slide it in next time.”
“But you were sleeping.”
“I know, Ma’nung, but nothing better than waking up to an orgasm, or being loved on.” I stated while sliding one leg up, still laying sideways.
Ao’nung is hesitant, but we were still connected by our bond too. I was surprised.
“I forgot you have a fat head-“ I groan as he slides it in and gives me time to adjust but also feeling instant relief to be back inside me. The hand underneath my waist snakes over to rub my clit as he pumps pathetically inching in very slowly, but I could feel what he felt.
“Come inside my love-“ I moan as he comes inside for the second time tonight, letting him continue thrusting lazily while sliding across my G-spot.
“You feel so warm, so good, I can’t get enough.” He groans while continuing the same movement and I could feel him getting hard again.
“Is this why your mom is pregnant for the sixth time?” I asked and he ignores me but wraps his hands around my body, pulling me closer to him.
“Can I come again, my love?” He asks while his thrusts are becoming more powerful.
“How many more times can you come tonight?” I asked and start meeting his thrusts in the middle, feeling the familiar sensation about to snap in my belly.
“As many times as it takes to make you round with child, I can’t wait to see you waddle with my life inside of you-“
“Fill me to the brim,” I groaned as he continues thrusting while imagining myself pregnant with his children. But the mental images he was seeing began flashing in my mind and he wanted to fuck me while pregnant, pushing my body past its limits and taking me in every position.
“Come my love-“ He grunts in my ear and all I can do is squeeze around his cock and moan loudly.
_________
“You don’t want anyone to hear us, do you?” He teases while thrusting in my cunt ever so slowly while he held me against the tree.
“No,” I try to stay quiet but he only slaps his big hand over my mouth.
He’d decided to fish on the docks today instead of following a hunting party and when he’d finish casting his third net full of fish he’d told the guys he was with that he’d be back in a few. I’d been picking seashells with his mom and sister when he called me away and lead me to where we were.
“You’re such a pathetic thing, Yawne,” He glides his dick over my G spot effortlessly and I’m a mess, I’m struggling to keep my eyes open.
“Eyes on me, my love, I want to see what I do to you.” He smiles cockily and I whine loud enough for him to hear.
“I want to come-“
“No.” He states firmly and slides his cock back in. “Be good for me and we’ll see if you deserve to come, my love.”
“Kiss me-“ I demand and he leans in, gently taking in the back of my neck and kissing me sweetly.
“G-go faster-“ I pant as he does and my eyes roll back.
“Come my love, come.” Ao’nung instructs me and I bite my lip as I release myself all over his cock.
“No don’t pull out,” I hold on to his hand tightly as if thats where I needed to hold him.
“We have to go back and-“
“I need you, Ma’nung,” I complain and he smirks.
“Of course, how could I have been so dumb,” He states and starts thrusting even faster.
“Ah!” I moaned and he slaps his hand over my mouth again.
“How can something so small be so loud?” He groans in my ear while he thrusts into me. My toes were curling as if they had a mind of their own and he was only holding me by my waist with one hand, he’s so fucking strong.
“How can someone so big be so big-“ I groan as he resorts to moving me up and down on his cock.
“I want to torture this orgasm out of you, my love. I want to make you the same babbling mess you were last night.” His voice was deeper and he was starting to grunt with every thrust. His hand came down from my mouth and stroked my clit lazily.
“Please let me come-“
“No.”
“Thats what you said earlier and you still let me-“ I whine and he forcefully grabs my cheeks to pull my face closer toward his.
“You cum when you only know my name and nothing else.”
I squeezed on him harder.
“You like when I’m rough with you, huh.” He places his hand on my chest and I grab it and place it on my neck without flinching and gently squeezes the sides and I could feel myself squeezing his cock once more.
“No, I w-wan- come.”
“Not dumb enough my love.”
_________
“Is anything off lim-limi- limits with y-you?” I asked as he thrusts under the water while his thick cock glides in and out of me.
“No. Never.” He groans before going faster. “You’ll be the death of me, now shut up and come.” He states while circling my clit.
“I don-don’t wanna-“ I whine but was to sensitive to hold on any longer.
“Yes you do, I can feel it. And not because we’re connected.”
_________
“Yawne please!” Ao’nung cries as I slide down further.
I’d mentioned riding once and he had been asking every single day if we could try it, but I wasn’t sure how feasable it would be, only because he’s huge and the thigh strength I’d need would need to come fro Eywa herself.
“This isn’t easy for me either!” I groan and completely slid down his cock and met his hips. Realization hits me as he hugs my body into his own.
“No you better not-“
“I’m coming~” He moans in my ear and it triggered my own orgasm.
_________
“Quiet my love.” Ao’nung shushes me.
“Please,” I beg and he thrusts harshly into me and I moan again.
“I love you-“ He states in English.
“Nga yawne lu oer-“ I whine back as he circles my clit with his thumb. He slams back in again.
“I like seeing you fucked dumb, my love.” He responds in English again and I’m going crazy.
“How bad do you want to come?” He asks in Na’vi and I can’t comprehend the question at all and babble some nonsense.
“I need you to come, sweet girl.” He coo’s and covers my mouth to muffle my sounds with his own in a deep heated kiss.
“Thats it, my love,” He coo’s as he joins me, still managing to gently caress my cheeks at his highest point of euphoria.
_________
“Have you told her it was an aphrodisiac?” Neytiri asks and Lo’ak rolls his eyes.
“Yes Ma’am.” He replies.
“Good.” Ronal states while working on cutting the fruit she had.
“Was this necessary?” Tsireya asks while sneaking a couple of the fruit pieces for herself since she was expecting.
“All the necessary, my sweet girl.” Ronal stated to her daughter.
“If not for that small lie they would not be sneaking around horribly and procreating like they are.” Neytiri points out.
“They’re sneaking around in public and doing that?” Taireya’s eyes widen In shock and Lo’ak laughs.
“Of course they are. Just the other day, Ao’nung said he couldn’t come hunting because he had to pick some tulip thorns from the tree’s for her. They grow in the ground.”
Ronal laughs at this too and shakes her head.
“Maybe she will become pregnant soon like us.” Kiri happily continues creating medicine or saves from the peels of the fruit.
“Human male and Hybrid Na’vi can procreate. Lets see if Na’vi nale and hybrid Na’vi can do the same.” Ronal smiles.
“I believe they can. Our world is changing.” Neytiri comments.

Part 1
TAG LIST: @sully-stick-together , @users09, @bobojojoba69 ---- I am so sorry I couldn't add some of the people who asked to be added 🙏
Y/N ran for what felt like forever, even though in reality it was just a few minutes. Tears stained her face but she didn't care about that since more kept rolling down from her yellow eyes. Her heart was pumping in chest, shallow breaths could be heard. She tripped on a fallen tree branch, her body trembling to the floor. Y/N didn't bother getting up, so she just curled up into a ball and sobbed. She thought back to the earlier event with Lo'ak. Never in her whole life had she seen him so angry, and never has he ever snapped at her once not even when she was annoying.
She felt like she had pushed too hard on him but deep deep down she knew it wasn't his fault, it was his. Soon her red, puffy eyes started to close as sleep took very quickly. Y/N could hear the soft breeze flowing though the trees and brushes, it also tickled her skin as her neck hairs stood up. But little did the young girl knew a massive Strom was coming and it wasn't just any ordinary Strom, this Strom started long before any one of her siblings were born this Strom has been going on for a long time. And it was ready for its revenge.
~timeskip~
Lo'ak didn't know where his twin was, no one did. His mother and Neteyam had been looking for her for atleast 2 hours and there has been no sign of her anywhere. Worry and guilt started to fill his stomach as his mind conjured up the worst case scenario. Her dead. Non-breathing Unmoving. Her blood everywhere. He tried to shake that thought off but it was still there lingering around the back of his mind.
In the background, he could hear Tuk crying as Kiri tried to comfort her but he knew she needed to be comfort juts as much. He knew it was his fault. He knew what he did was wrong and that he shouldn't have done it. He knew he needed to find her cause somewhere deep down in his stomach he knew where he was. So he slipped away making sure no one saw him as he ran off into the forest to find his twin.
~back to Y/N~
When she woke up again, she hadn't realised how long she had been asleep. Y/N didn't even know where she was. Suddenly large hands grabbed her, pulling her roughly up on her feet. She tried to scream but before she could cold metal touched her skin.
"You so much as scream or yell out for help... I'll blow your brains out" his voice was deep, sounded like he had no soul. Y/N just nodded not wanting to provoking him and possibly getting killed. She looked up to see atleast a glimpse of her so called kidnapper. She noticed the human like clothing he was wearing. He was an avatar. Probably from her father's past. She just hoped her father and mother or someone would find her before it becomes too late. But she knew that if someone didn't find her in time the worse will happen. So, she did the most stupid thing she has ever done. She bit down on his arm, hard. Very hard. The guy yelled out in pain before he turned around to face her. "You fucking bitch!"
The next thing she knew a loud bang could be heard and then everything went black.
~back to Lo'ak~
He could hear someone yelling in the distance, sounded human? He been in contact with fake Na'vi before and he definitely didn't like them. Lo'ak pulled at his knife, grip tight around it. He prayed to Ewya that Y/N was okay, she had to be, she needed to be. He couldn't lose her. She was the only one who understood him and never thought of him as a fake.
*BANG*
His head moved towards the direction of the loud bang, his briads covering his eye. His heart was beating so fast and so hard against his chest he thought it was going to pop out. He started to run towards the danger not caring about the out come he just needed to know that his twin, his ride or die wasn't at the end of that bullet.
A body soon came in view, it seemed to be covered in blood. As he got closer he finally saw who that body belong to. It was Y/N. His twin. His best friend. Tears started to form in his eyes as he pushed his legs faster. Faster to get to her. Faster to make sure she's live and not dead.
"Y/N!" Lo'ak's voice was shaking, fear feeling his stomach. He dropped om to his knees hard. Probably gonna leave a couple cuts on it but he didn't care all he cared about is her. "L-lo'ak?" Her was so quite, also like a whisper. He carefully moved her head onto his lap, making sure to put pressure on the gun shot wound on her lower abdomen. She let out a pained sob as more pain shot through her body. "Sorry, sorry. I know it hurts but I have to put pressure on it"
Y/N just started up at him still trying to process what happened just a few minutes ago. Her eyes slowly started to feel heavy but she tried to fight it just for a little longer. "Keep your eyes open" he spoke sternly, panting as he desperately spoke to her. Fixing his hand on her bleeding wound to try and stop the blood from leaving her body. Not once had she seen him look so vulnerable, so desperate. "Stay with me, don't-don't close your eyes" his voice was laced with something unfamiliar, a tone which Y/N had never from him before. Desperation was it? No, it was something more, something more painful.
"Y/N damn it" he cursed under his breath, holding her limp body now on his lap. His voice now filled with panic, "Please" that one word. That very word seemed to be so much more painful than the wound on her stomach, was it his tone? Was it the way he said it? Or was it the way his eyes looked, the way his eyes stained with tears.
Y/N could barely think, but everything looked clear despite the tears that clouded her eyes. The pain in her heart was greater than the pain from her stomach. Y/N wasn't ready, she wasn't ready to leave him, not ready to leave her family, not when she still had so much to live for. "Lo'ak" her weak voice called out for him. Perhaps his mind was playing a trick on him but he saw that same old smile om her face, a weak smile but it was still the same. "No" he cuts Y/N off, he couldn't hear what she was about to say, he refused to. Lo'ak knew exactly what she was planning in saying and he's far from accepting it. "Save your energy, don't-"
"I'm sorry, L-lo'ak"
"Y/N you can't, I can't" tears started to fall faster down his face now. "I'm the one who should be sorry, you have nothing-" Y/N cut him off by placing her hand on his cheek, wiping the tears that slipped away. "No. You don't have to apologise, Lo'ak" he cried quietly, but he felt everything all at once at that moment. Nuzzling his face into her now cold hand, weeping uncontrollably, no caring about who saw. "I can't do this without you. I-i'm so sorry about yelling at you, I d-didn't mean too just please don't leave me"
"Y/N please" he pleads, but he knew she was growing more weak by the clock. "Lo'ak. Y-you have to let me go" her hand slipped from his face as her eyes relaxed as her pupils widened, the blood stopped gushing out from the wound on her stomach and her heart stopped just as her chest went flat with her very last breath. "Y/N?" He looked down at her now limp body. "Y/N?! NO, NO, NO! PLEASE!" Lo'ak let out a pained scream, a scream that could be heard from the village. That scream got the attention of his family, making them run off into a sprint trying to find the source of the pained scream.
Neteyam and Jake were the first ones on scene and the site in front of them made their whole worlds come crashing down in one blow. Jake's body went numb, his expressen was emotionless, but his eyes told another story as tears rolled down his face. He started at his daughter, he couldn't except the fact that his babygirl was gone for good. He could hear his family's sobs from beside him, as he watched Lo'ak pulled his twin closer to his chest begging for some sort of sign that she was still alive but he knew that she was with Ewya now. "Y/N NO PELASE! OH, GREAT MOTHER PLEASE!" Lo'ak's voice was scratchy, shouting Y/N's name over and over again. His sobs were loud and controllable, he cried out for their great Mother begging her to bring his twin back. But deep down he knew she was never coming back. Neytiri moved closer to their son and fallen daughter, taking her limp hand into her own trying to find that familiar warmth that was always there but it cold.
Neteyam moved to sit next to Lo'ak with Y/N's unmoving body still in his lap. Neteyam knew that he and thier father had to move her body but he was frozen in place. He couldn't process it, no one could. He watched his father moved slowly towards Lo'ak to try and get their sister out of his grip. But surprisingly Lo'ak let go without trying to fight it. He looked so empty, almost like a shell you find at beach. It broke Neteyam's heart to see his brother like it but he knew he couldn't do anything to help with the pain Lo'ak was feeling m.
Neteyam watches as his mother sobs and screams over their loss as his tears fall onto his little sister's thigh. He places his hand on lo'ak's shoulder trying to comfort him in some way, but he knew that even himself couldn't stop the feeling of emptiness in his heart cause he too had that exact same hole in his. Lo'ak started at his shaking hands that were covered in his twin's blood. His head tilts back as he realised he just lost his twin sister, the one person who was always there for him when he had a nightmare or when their father would yell at him. She was the one soul that never thought of him as a freak or as an outcast and now she was gone. All beacuse of him. She was died because of his stupid mistake.
~sad bonus~
(Set four weeks after Y/N's death)
Lo'ak barely slept or ate, and even if he did he would just wake up screaming or throw up the food he actully ate. Neteyam and Kiri had tried over and over again to try and get him to atleast sleep for a few hours or eat something even if it was small. But everything they tried didn't work. Lo'ak just stayed in the same stop, staring out at the ocean, not moving an inch. This concerned the whole family but they knew in time that he would heal.
After everyone had left Lo'ak tried to get some sleep knowing that Y/N wouldn't want him to do this. He smiled for the first time in weeks at the thought first her yelling at him about this is unhealthy and that he could die too young. His eyes soon fall as sleep took over his mind. When he woke up he was in a dark room with only one bit of light and under that light was a young women just around his age or maybe Neteyam's.
"Hello?" He called out to the mysterious lady but only to get ignored. Until she turned around. Lo'ak's eyes widened in shock as tears started to form. His legs started to move on their own as they walked towards her. Y/N. His beloved twin.
"Y/N"
"Don't"
"It's not your fault, Lo'ak"
"..." lo'ak looked down at his feet and stared to play with his finger, a trent he had picked up from her when she died. "You have to let me go"
"I can't- I won't hear you out"
"Lo'ak, please"
"Just- just a little bit longer. Let me hold onto you for just for little bit longer. Please" the tears he had been holding onto finally fall, rolling down his cheeks. He didn't want to let her go cause if he let her go he wouldn't be able to see her smile or hear a laugh again. "Lo'ak I'm dead. Let me go"
"No, no, no please- please don't let me leave. I need to be here with you" his voice held so much pain as his spoke. Y/N just turned her body to the face the other way and started to walk away. "Wait-" before he could get the words out a strong wing started to blow him away, pulling him back into reality once again.
Neteyam had just came back from the beach to check on Lo'ak and see if he had moved from his spot. He was just about to walk in when he heard a loud sob from inside. Without thinking Neteyam ran inside to find lo'ak gripping his chest, his breath heavy, tears rolling down his face. Neteyam felt his heart break even more from the site infront of him. He couldn't stand to see his little brother like this. None of them could.
Without thinking he moved towards Lo'ak and pulled him into his chest, hugging him tight. He shushed his brother and whispered sweet things in his ear trying to calm him down. Lo'ak just held onto his brother as he cried out for his twin to come back. But he knew she was never coming back.
